00:50:40.920 --> 00:50:45.920 2009, 2010, we talked about this, sent 00:50:45.920 --> 00:50:49.920 So there is an authority which comes with one's being sent 00:50:49.920 --> 00:50:52.920 Yes, Jesus said in Matthew 20, go 00:50:52.920 --> 00:50:56.920 But he also sends you on specific assignments 00:50:56.920 --> 00:51:01.920 And when he sends you on specific assignments with that comes a certain authority 00:51:01.920 --> 00:51:06.920 Like for instance in Lufthansa, all the employees are told, go and do your work well 00:51:06.920 --> 00:51:11.920 But then someone may come along to Lorient and say, I'm sending you on this specific assignment 00:51:11.920 --> 00:51:16.920 And suddenly in that area, she has more authority than the others 00:51:16.920 --> 00:51:18.920 That's what I'm talking about 00:51:19.920 --> 00:51:25.920 So for instance, Paul goes to Malta, I think 00:51:25.920 --> 00:51:28.920 The place before that, Pamphylia, I'm not too sure 00:51:28.920 --> 00:51:33.920 He goes there and there's this famous magician called Elimas, a sorcerer 00:51:33.920 --> 00:51:37.920 And he's trying to prevent the gospel from entering the land 00:51:37.920 --> 00:51:40.920 Because Paul is witnessing to this guy called Sergius Paulus 00:51:40.920 --> 00:51:43.920 And what does Paul do? 00:51:43.920 --> 00:51:46.920 He turns around to this famous magician and he says to him 00:51:46.920 --> 00:51:50.920 The guy was called the great one actually, Gretzky wasn't the first guy 00:51:50.920 --> 00:51:53.920 So he turns to the magician and he says to him 00:51:53.920 --> 00:51:56.920 Here's what's going to happen to you, for a time now 00:51:56.920 --> 00:51:59.920 A blindness is going to descend on your eyes and you will not be able to see 00:51:59.920 --> 00:52:05.920 That kind of authority Paul had because he was being sent into a place to break open that place 00:52:05.920 --> 00:52:08.920 So that the kingdom could enter 00:52:08.920 --> 00:52:13.920 Paul talks about the same thing in 2 Corinthians 10 verses 10 to 12 where he says to the Corinthians 00:52:13.920 --> 00:52:17.920 Listen guys, I bond you, I birthed you 00:52:17.920 --> 00:52:21.920 And so I wouldn't be boasting if I say that in terms of authority 00:52:21.920 --> 00:52:24.920 I do have authority over this fear that I have cultivated 00:52:24.920 --> 00:52:26.920 Go ahead 00:52:35.920 --> 00:52:38.920 He's sensing it from God 00:52:38.920 --> 00:52:41.920 Because otherwise it wouldn't happen 00:52:41.920 --> 00:52:44.920 He's not cursing the guy in the name of the devil 00:52:44.920 --> 00:52:47.920 He's saying now, this is what's going to happen 00:52:47.920 --> 00:52:52.920 And why would God wouldn't validate something that you say if it wasn't? 00:55:03.920 --> 00:55:07.920 Half way up the mountain looking at the God of the universe 00:55:08.920 --> 00:55:12.920 Here we are talking about authority that is not delegational or not positional 00:55:12.920 --> 00:55:16.920 But an authority that comes by walking in the nature 00:55:16.920 --> 00:55:18.920 And a hunger and thirst after God 00:55:19.920 --> 00:55:21.920 He learnt well 00:55:22.920 --> 00:55:25.920 And then finally, you see in Joshua 10 00:55:26.920 --> 00:55:29.920 This thing that comes with apostolic authority 00:55:29.920 --> 00:55:34.920 Where now he is being sent by God to fight the Amalekites 00:55:35.920 --> 00:55:38.920 The Amalekites, five kings, five of them came 00:55:38.920 --> 00:55:43.920 And God has told Joshua go and fight them and he goes to fight them 00:55:43.920 --> 00:55:46.920 And here's what God says to them 00:55:46.920 --> 00:55:50.920 Go and fight them and as soon as you get there, they'll start running 00:55:51.920 --> 00:55:52.920 So he goes to fight them 00:55:52.920 --> 00:55:56.920 And then they start running and he can't kill all of them fast enough 00:55:57.920 --> 00:56:00.920 Because evening is coming, so what does he do?
