00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:15.560
Part two today of what we started last week.

00:00:15.560 --> 00:00:18.520
We started a new series called Witness.

00:00:18.520 --> 00:00:20.260
And so this is part two.

00:00:20.260 --> 00:00:26.280
And I just want to recap some of the things that we need to remember from last week.

00:00:26.280 --> 00:00:27.640
And so here's the recap.

00:00:28.640 --> 00:00:33.680
To witness, who is a witness?

00:00:33.680 --> 00:00:38.440
A witness is a person with experience and knowledge.

00:00:38.440 --> 00:00:39.320
It has to be both.

00:00:39.320 --> 00:00:40.480
It can't be one.

00:00:40.480 --> 00:00:42.240
Vivek, you're OK?

00:00:42.240 --> 00:00:45.080
OK, just checking.

00:00:45.080 --> 00:00:46.800
Oh, Sheldon asked me to sit with him.

00:00:46.800 --> 00:00:49.840
I was wondering why you came from the last row to the first row.

00:00:49.840 --> 00:00:50.760
Yeah.

00:00:50.760 --> 00:00:52.240
I thought deep conviction or something.

00:00:52.240 --> 00:00:54.040
No.

00:00:54.040 --> 00:00:54.540
Same.

00:00:54.540 --> 00:00:56.840
OK.

00:00:57.000 --> 00:00:58.280
OK.

00:00:58.280 --> 00:01:00.600
I hope your wife is watching.

00:01:00.600 --> 00:01:02.520
OK.

00:01:02.520 --> 00:01:03.640
So who's a witness?

00:01:03.640 --> 00:01:08.160
A witness is a person with experience and knowledge.

00:01:08.160 --> 00:01:10.160
It's not enough to have knowledge.

00:01:10.160 --> 00:01:11.840
You have to have experience and knowledge.

00:01:11.840 --> 00:01:13.600
And we talked about it last week.

00:01:13.600 --> 00:01:15.000
So I won't go over that.

00:01:15.000 --> 00:01:22.460
But it's a person with experience and knowledge that can help establish the truth of some

00:01:22.460 --> 00:01:29.180
fact that might be in dispute or that might be doubted, helps establish the truth of some

00:01:29.180 --> 00:01:32.220
fact that might be disputed.

00:01:32.220 --> 00:01:34.060
That's who a witness is.

00:01:34.060 --> 00:01:35.060
It doesn't matter.

00:01:35.060 --> 00:01:36.380
We're not talking about Christianity.

00:01:36.380 --> 00:01:39.860
We're just talking about the definition for the word witness.

00:01:39.860 --> 00:01:43.620
And then we said that we are here to bear witness.

00:01:43.620 --> 00:01:46.060
We are here to bear witness to three things.

00:01:46.060 --> 00:01:53.100
One, we are here to bear witness to who he is, what he did, and what he is doing.

00:01:53.100 --> 00:01:58.500
Who he is establishes the godness of him.

00:01:58.500 --> 00:02:05.500
What he did establishes the salvation and the savior part of what he did, the redeeming part,

00:02:05.500 --> 00:02:07.100
the redemption part.

00:02:07.100 --> 00:02:11.460
What he does is your story where he continues to do things in your life.

00:02:11.460 --> 00:02:14.100
All three have to be part of the equation.

00:02:14.140 --> 00:02:19.140
If someone says I know who God is and what he did and you can't talk about what he's

00:02:19.140 --> 00:02:23.820
presently doing in your life, then who God is and what he did is really not effective

00:02:23.820 --> 00:02:25.300
in your life.

00:02:25.300 --> 00:02:28.500
It's always his story that continues in us.

00:02:28.500 --> 00:02:30.580
It never ends.

00:02:30.580 --> 00:02:38.700
Then we said that the power of the spirit is present where bearing witness is practiced.

00:02:38.700 --> 00:02:43.300
Wherever someone practices bearing witness, and that's what we did last week, doesn't

00:02:43.500 --> 00:02:49.620
matter whether it was with Davant and me at Starbucks or with the girls at the blends

00:02:49.620 --> 00:02:54.100
or the boys at Central Park.

00:02:54.100 --> 00:03:00.300
Every time someone makes a clumsy attempt at bearing witness to who he is, what he did,

00:03:00.300 --> 00:03:04.540
and what he does, the power of the spirit is present.

00:03:04.540 --> 00:03:08.220
The spirit of God can be resisted, but he will be present.

00:03:08.220 --> 00:03:10.780
That's a crazy thing.

00:03:10.940 --> 00:03:15.980
In all the situations that we spoke about today and we didn't speak about today, be

00:03:15.980 --> 00:03:22.340
the Indian lady the Hanamari met, be someone else met, at the end of the day, every time

00:03:22.340 --> 00:03:30.860
you open your mouth to tell anybody who he is, what he did, and what he is doing, at

00:03:30.860 --> 00:03:35.900
once the spirit of God is present and that is your only hope.

00:03:35.900 --> 00:03:37.900
There is no convincing anybody.

00:03:37.900 --> 00:03:40.180
There's only convicting by the spirit.

00:03:40.180 --> 00:03:44.500
All of us are here in this place because the spirit of God convicted us because of words

00:03:44.500 --> 00:03:46.500
people spoke.

00:03:48.500 --> 00:03:50.180
Crazy.

00:03:50.180 --> 00:03:57.940
Each of us is the result of what the spirit of God did when someone spoke.

00:03:57.940 --> 00:04:02.220
And some of us were hard nuts to crack and are still hard nuts to crack.

00:04:02.220 --> 00:04:05.180
And it still worked.

00:04:05.180 --> 00:04:08.620
Chava is thinking, why am I looking at him?

00:04:08.620 --> 00:04:11.300
For obvious reasons, Chava.

00:04:11.300 --> 00:04:13.300
So, kidding man.

00:04:13.300 --> 00:04:17.660
So, and you might think why am I looking at you?

00:04:17.660 --> 00:04:23.940
So, just so you know, this is how it works.

00:04:23.940 --> 00:04:30.540
And then finally we talked about Acts 26, 17 and 18, which should be one of the scriptures

00:04:30.540 --> 00:04:32.380
we learn by heart.

00:04:32.380 --> 00:04:36.820
And it says that I, as in God is saying to Paul and he's saying to us, I am sending you

00:04:36.820 --> 00:04:41.140
out so that you can open their eyes.

00:04:41.140 --> 00:04:47.540
We open eyes, we bring light with the words of the gospel or the good news of Christ.

00:04:47.540 --> 00:04:51.060
The gospel is simply the good news of what Christ did.

00:04:51.060 --> 00:04:53.560
And we talked about it last week.

00:04:53.560 --> 00:04:56.500
We open eyes and we open hearts.

00:04:56.500 --> 00:05:00.580
We undo blindness through the words that we speak.

00:05:00.580 --> 00:05:03.780
It is the opening of eyes through the words that we speak.

00:05:03.780 --> 00:05:09.300
And the words that we speak bear testimony to who he is, what he did and what he does.

00:05:09.300 --> 00:05:10.740
That's how we open eyes.

00:05:10.740 --> 00:05:12.380
When we open eyes, what happens?

00:05:12.380 --> 00:05:14.980
People turn from darkness to light.

00:05:14.980 --> 00:05:20.020
People are delivered from the power of Satan to the power of God.

00:05:20.020 --> 00:05:21.620
And then two things happen.

00:05:21.620 --> 00:05:26.340
They experience the forgiveness of sins and they receive a place in the family of God.

00:05:26.340 --> 00:05:29.160
What a gift to give mankind.

00:05:29.160 --> 00:05:31.740
What a gift to give mankind.

00:05:31.740 --> 00:05:32.740
It's crazy.

00:05:33.620 --> 00:05:37.940
And who does he trust this enormous task to?

00:05:37.940 --> 00:05:40.660
To people like you and I.

00:05:40.660 --> 00:05:45.520
This is the foolishness of God.

00:05:45.520 --> 00:05:47.780
This is the foolishness of God.

00:05:47.780 --> 00:05:55.100
That he takes such a precious thing and places it absolutely confident that he is on the

00:05:55.100 --> 00:05:57.820
path to victory.

00:05:57.820 --> 00:05:59.580
He places it in our hands.

00:05:59.580 --> 00:06:01.700
This is the beauty of it.

00:06:01.700 --> 00:06:03.340
Who does all the work?

00:06:03.340 --> 00:06:04.340
The Spirit of God.

00:06:04.340 --> 00:06:05.340
Who does all the work?

00:06:05.340 --> 00:06:06.340
Us.

00:06:06.340 --> 00:06:08.700
We are partners in this work.

00:06:08.700 --> 00:06:10.660
We are partners in this work.

00:06:10.660 --> 00:06:13.060
God has chosen not to do it without us.

00:06:13.060 --> 00:06:17.100
We have to realize we can't do it without him going to work in the hearts of men.

00:06:17.100 --> 00:06:18.380
We do the visible thing.

00:06:18.380 --> 00:06:22.300
He does the invisible thing.

00:06:22.300 --> 00:06:23.560
We do it clumsily.

00:06:23.560 --> 00:06:25.180
He does it brilliantly.

00:06:25.180 --> 00:06:31.460
He takes your clumsy words and he brings light.

00:06:31.460 --> 00:06:38.860
So everybody who went out this week, and sometimes we need pressure to do it, left to ourselves,

00:06:38.860 --> 00:06:42.820
we'll probably not do it.

00:06:42.820 --> 00:06:46.080
And yes, we're going to do it again next week.

00:06:46.080 --> 00:06:54.140
We have to get over the awkwardness, the obnoxiousness of tearing down someone's privacy and telling

00:06:54.140 --> 00:06:56.740
them about Christ.

00:06:56.740 --> 00:07:00.580
It's difficult.

00:07:00.580 --> 00:07:02.860
And so this week we'll do it again.

00:07:02.860 --> 00:07:05.340
Any questions on these?

00:07:05.340 --> 00:07:12.260
It's powerful what happens to clumsy words and awkward people.

00:07:12.260 --> 00:07:13.260
That's how we all got saved.

00:07:13.260 --> 00:07:15.540
Oh, by the way, there are some new guys here.

00:07:15.540 --> 00:07:23.620
Emily's mom Shirley's been here before.

00:07:23.620 --> 00:07:26.140
Elle is sitting next to Sen.

00:07:26.140 --> 00:07:29.900
Her real name is Elior, but you can call her Elle.

00:07:29.900 --> 00:07:32.540
No, it's not Elle.

00:07:32.540 --> 00:07:33.540
It's Eliora.

00:07:33.540 --> 00:07:37.660
I missed out one word.

00:07:37.660 --> 00:07:39.820
So it's far easier calling her Elle.

00:07:39.820 --> 00:07:41.620
You don't mistake the name then.

00:07:41.620 --> 00:07:42.620
So that's Elle.

00:07:42.620 --> 00:07:48.860
Elle, you want to turn around and do the royal bow?

00:07:48.860 --> 00:07:52.540
And then I think there's someone next to Janelle or…

00:07:52.540 --> 00:07:56.940
Sorry, I can't hear you.

00:07:56.940 --> 00:07:57.940
She's Melissa.

00:07:57.940 --> 00:07:58.940
Hi, she's Melissa.

00:07:59.940 --> 00:08:02.940
Yeah.

00:08:02.940 --> 00:08:12.420
And Karen, you brought someone along.

00:08:12.420 --> 00:08:14.020
Good to see you, Mike.

00:08:14.020 --> 00:08:15.300
I hope you're well.

00:08:15.300 --> 00:08:16.300
Can you hear us?

00:08:16.300 --> 00:08:17.300
Sorry, Mike.

00:08:17.300 --> 00:08:20.300
I just had to do that.

00:08:20.300 --> 00:08:25.300
It's been a while since I saw you.

00:08:25.300 --> 00:08:26.300
Yeah.

00:08:26.300 --> 00:08:33.300
Trust Mike to come up with something when you treat him well.

00:08:33.300 --> 00:08:34.300
Yeah.

00:08:34.300 --> 00:08:37.300
Okay.

00:08:37.300 --> 00:08:40.300
My notes have flown away.

00:08:40.300 --> 00:08:45.300
Okay, so when we witnessed, we do two things.

00:08:45.300 --> 00:08:49.300
So we're starting today's…

00:08:49.300 --> 00:08:51.300
When we witnessed, we do two things.

00:08:51.300 --> 00:08:52.300
So we announce…

00:08:52.300 --> 00:08:56.300
That's what we were trying to do this week.

00:08:56.300 --> 00:08:59.300
Two, we exchange.

00:08:59.300 --> 00:09:06.300
So we announce who he is, but we also exchange, as in we tell people what they can exchange.

00:09:06.300 --> 00:09:16.300
And so if you look at Isaiah 61, for example, we see there that there are five proclamations

00:09:16.300 --> 00:09:22.300
and five instidoffs.

00:09:22.300 --> 00:09:25.300
So on one hand, there's a proclaiming of liberty to the captives.

00:09:25.300 --> 00:09:27.300
There's the proclaiming of the good news to the poor.

00:09:27.300 --> 00:09:29.300
On the other hand, there are five instidoffs.

00:09:29.300 --> 00:09:31.300
Instead of sorrow, I'll give you joy.

00:09:31.300 --> 00:09:35.300
Instead of prison, I'll give you freedom.

00:09:35.300 --> 00:09:38.300
There are five instidoffs and five announcements.

00:09:38.300 --> 00:09:44.300
So in our witnessing, always remember, it's not enough to tell them who he is.

00:09:44.300 --> 00:09:47.300
It's also to help them exchange what they want to.

00:09:47.300 --> 00:09:48.300
Yeah?

00:09:48.300 --> 00:09:50.300
And this week, that's what we'll attempt.

00:09:50.300 --> 00:09:53.300
We'll try and exchange what they have.

00:09:53.300 --> 00:09:57.300
So we'll go a step further than we went this week.

00:09:57.300 --> 00:10:16.300
And so this exchange is only possible if we force the devil to let go.

00:10:16.300 --> 00:10:18.300
Why is this important?

00:10:18.300 --> 00:10:22.300
If you turn to Colossians 1.13, you see that...

00:10:22.300 --> 00:10:27.300
Just go to 2 Corinthians 4.4 and Colossians 1.13.

00:10:27.300 --> 00:10:29.300
First, 2 Corinthians 4.4.

00:10:29.300 --> 00:10:35.300
We need to understand that people are being held captive by a real person called the devil.

00:10:35.300 --> 00:10:38.300
He's not a figment of our imagination.

00:10:38.300 --> 00:10:41.300
I know you know that, but there are people who actually...

00:10:41.300 --> 00:10:46.300
I met Pentecostals who think he's a figment of our imagination.

00:10:46.300 --> 00:10:48.300
I don't understand that.

00:10:48.300 --> 00:10:50.300
Colossians 4.4.

00:10:50.300 --> 00:11:03.300
Now go to...

00:11:03.300 --> 00:11:05.300
What was the other scripture I gave you?

00:11:05.300 --> 00:11:07.300
Colossians 1.13.

00:11:07.300 --> 00:11:15.300
Colossians 1.13.

00:11:18.300 --> 00:11:26.300
Colossians 1.13.

00:11:26.300 --> 00:11:34.300
So you see there that the rescue is actually from a dominion or a kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.

00:11:34.300 --> 00:11:39.300
So we are finding it difficult to go up to people and speak to them.

00:11:39.300 --> 00:11:45.300
And you must understand the resistance and the rejection is part of the war we are waging.

00:11:45.300 --> 00:11:53.300
In the bargain is the rescue of actual human beings from one kingdom into the other.

00:11:53.300 --> 00:12:00.300
The clearer it gets in your head, the more determined you will be in the process.

00:12:00.300 --> 00:12:04.300
The clearer it gets in your head, the more determined we become.

00:12:04.300 --> 00:12:11.300
That as we sit there, and I reject it, sometimes despised, sometimes mocked, sometimes scorned, sometimes received,

00:12:11.300 --> 00:12:21.300
that what is actually happening is a tussle between a person being delivered from something called the dominion of darkness into the dominion of the sun.

00:12:21.300 --> 00:12:24.300
Dominion is the same word for kingdom.

00:12:24.300 --> 00:12:32.300
And so at risk is someone, and that's why it is difficult. It's not easy.

00:12:32.300 --> 00:12:39.300
But at some point we are able to make the words that bring light and suddenly the blindness is lifted.

00:12:39.300 --> 00:12:45.300
Suddenly one gets converted. Every time you think it's difficult, think of yourself.

00:12:45.300 --> 00:12:52.300
Think of yourself. How difficult was it for people to get you from where you are to where you are now?

00:12:52.300 --> 00:13:02.300
I mean, I remember how difficult it was for people. People stopped fasting and praying for me, saying it's no use.

00:13:02.300 --> 00:13:09.300
I know how difficult it was to move Pawan from where he is to where he is at today.

00:13:09.300 --> 00:13:13.300
But a lot of people were praying and a lot of people were speaking.

00:13:13.300 --> 00:13:18.300
I mean, I look at Vivek and I can't even imagine how difficult it must have been to move him.

00:13:18.300 --> 00:13:29.300
This is what happens if you sit in the first row.

00:13:29.300 --> 00:13:33.300
So if we force the devil to let go, he lets go.

00:13:33.300 --> 00:13:46.300
But our weapons of warfare are words, prayer, sometimes logic, because God is very logical, truth.

00:13:46.300 --> 00:13:56.300
What he did, which seems foolish but is the only way to salvation, and what he's doing in your life.

00:13:56.300 --> 00:14:05.300
These are what delivers most people. Besides this, there's the instead of, where you pray for someone,

00:14:05.300 --> 00:14:11.300
where you say something to someone and it just clicks and it opens their lives.

00:14:11.300 --> 00:14:16.300
We know this. It's just putting it together.

00:14:16.300 --> 00:14:20.300
If we force the devil to let go of people, he lets them go.

00:14:20.300 --> 00:14:30.300
This is very, very old. What did God say to Moses? Tell Pharaoh to do what? Let my people go.

00:14:30.300 --> 00:14:37.300
It's very old. The same captivity that existed now, existed then exists now.

00:14:37.300 --> 00:14:43.300
Let my people go. Let my people go.

00:14:43.300 --> 00:14:47.300
And so every time you do that, he's forced to let go.

00:14:47.300 --> 00:14:55.300
What are our weapons? Our weapons are words, prayer, logic. God is logical.

00:14:55.300 --> 00:15:01.300
Truth, and what he did and what he's doing in your life.

00:15:01.300 --> 00:15:05.300
And then the last one is instead of. That's besides the announcement.

00:15:05.300 --> 00:15:12.300
Instead of is when you put into action the confidence that you have in God, that he can turn someone's situation around.

00:15:12.300 --> 00:15:18.300
That's crazy. That's when people find out whether you actually believe in your God or not.

00:15:18.300 --> 00:15:25.300
We are putting your confidence in the God you said is a friend, a father, a healer, a pain remover, a history maker.

00:15:25.300 --> 00:15:35.300
That is when people think, oh shucks, he's putting his money where his mouth is.

00:15:35.300 --> 00:15:41.300
And we will have opportunities this week to try this.

00:15:41.300 --> 00:15:48.300
And we can't do a thing. It's entirely the work of the Spirit.

00:15:48.300 --> 00:15:57.300
Any questions on this before we go on?

00:15:57.300 --> 00:16:23.300
So then if we know we are working against a kingdom or a dominion that holds people captive,

00:16:23.300 --> 00:16:32.300
how should we be?

00:16:32.300 --> 00:16:37.300
This is not imagination, guys. Look at the scriptural, Acts 26, 17, 18.

00:16:37.300 --> 00:16:43.300
I am sending you to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light,

00:16:43.300 --> 00:16:48.300
from the power of Satan to God, to receive forgiveness of sins and a place in God's family.

00:16:48.300 --> 00:16:59.300
That's why I am sending you. It's very real.

00:16:59.300 --> 00:17:05.300
Pardon?

00:17:05.300 --> 00:17:10.300
No, this is what I'm pointing at, Acts 26, 17 and 18.

00:17:10.300 --> 00:17:15.300
So that is what God is doing.

00:17:15.300 --> 00:17:21.300
So what kind of a lifestyle should we then live if we know we are working against a dominion that holds people captive?

00:17:21.300 --> 00:17:25.300
I can give you tons of scriptures that prove that, but I don't think you need that.

00:17:25.300 --> 00:17:34.300
The first thing we need to know is Revelation 12, 11.

00:17:34.300 --> 00:17:39.300
How do we overcome this enemy that holds people captive?

00:17:39.300 --> 00:18:03.300
So if you realize, here's what it says, they overcame him, they overcame him because the Lamb gave his life's blood for them.

00:18:03.300 --> 00:18:10.300
At some point during the series, we will talk about how everybody now belongs to Christ,

00:18:10.300 --> 00:18:14.300
but they can choose whether they serve him or not.

00:18:14.300 --> 00:18:21.300
There is nobody who is any longer belonging to someone else.

00:18:21.300 --> 00:18:26.300
Everyone, the price has been paid. There's nobody whose ransom has not been paid.

00:18:26.300 --> 00:18:34.300
Everybody now belongs to him. He actually exerts claim over them by paying a price for them.

00:18:34.300 --> 00:18:42.300
But whether they choose to serve him or not is the free will that he offers to them despite having paid a price for them.

00:18:42.300 --> 00:18:47.300
It's just completely nuts.

00:18:47.300 --> 00:18:54.300
So at some point during the series, we'll talk about the claim that Christ has on your neighbor, on the communist, on the Buddhist,

00:18:54.300 --> 00:19:01.300
on the Hindu, on the Republican, on the Democrat, the claim he has over them.

00:19:01.300 --> 00:19:12.300
That he, she belongs to me and then he gives them the choice, but they must know the choice and that is where we come in.

00:19:12.300 --> 00:19:17.300
We are telling them that someone has paid the price, you belong to them, do you want to serve them?

00:19:17.300 --> 00:19:23.300
That's what we are telling them. The good news is everybody has been paid for.

00:19:23.300 --> 00:19:30.300
Ones not born yet have been paid for. It's crazy. The logic of it is crazy.

00:19:30.300 --> 00:19:41.300
And so here's how they overcame the devil. They overcame him because they knew that the lamb gave his life's blood for them.

00:19:41.300 --> 00:19:56.300
Second, they overcame him by giving witness about Jesus to others.

00:19:56.300 --> 00:20:02.300
This is Revelation 12, 11. I'm just quoting directly from the NIRV. I'm not adding anything to it.

00:20:02.300 --> 00:20:06.300
They overcame him by giving witness about Jesus to the others.

00:20:06.300 --> 00:20:11.300
First, they knew that everybody has been paid for by the blood of the lamb.

00:20:11.300 --> 00:20:18.300
Second, they began to give witness to it. And third, they did not care too much for their lives.

00:20:18.300 --> 00:20:37.300
They were willing to risk their lives even if it led to death.

00:20:37.300 --> 00:20:44.300
We don't have that. We are risking our lives in having people despise us, people reject us.

00:20:44.300 --> 00:20:49.300
We are risking our lives in terms of us feeling bad. And it's not a small deal. It's a big deal.

00:20:49.300 --> 00:20:58.300
But this is just the beginning. There are people in different countries that are risking their lives unto death so that someone gets saved.

00:20:58.300 --> 00:21:05.300
But this is sure defeat for the enemy of our souls. This is what defeats them.

00:21:05.300 --> 00:21:11.300
It just completely takes away any advantage he has. And we will work towards this.

00:21:11.300 --> 00:21:18.300
Step by step by step we will work towards this. Where courage will begin to grow. Where the stakes will be recognized.

00:21:18.300 --> 00:21:25.300
It's very difficult, guys. Persecution is different in different places. In some places it's death.

00:21:25.300 --> 00:21:31.300
In other places it's a cancer of silence. The cancer of silence.

00:21:31.300 --> 00:21:38.300
We are saying that... We're not saying Christianity is exclusive. We are saying Christ is exclusive.

00:21:38.300 --> 00:21:47.300
Christianity is open to all. But Christ is exclusive in that the claims he makes are claims that no other god or religion can make.

00:21:47.300 --> 00:22:00.300
And in a society that despises exclusivity and emphasizes plurality, this is very, very difficult. You don't know what you're against.

00:22:00.300 --> 00:22:06.300
It's not easy what we're doing. Sure, you're not being thrown into prison.

00:22:06.300 --> 00:22:15.300
But you must understand that the force of everything around you, that the zeitgeist or the spirit of the world that we live in,

00:22:15.300 --> 00:22:27.300
smothers anything that is exclusive. Suffocates it. So what you're doing is credible. It's applaudable.

00:22:27.300 --> 00:22:37.300
It is the only way to overcome. NIRV, Revelations 12-11. You know what 12-10 says?

00:22:37.300 --> 00:22:45.300
12-10 says, hey, I want you guys to know that the salvation of God, the kingdom of God, and the authority of Christ has come.

00:22:45.300 --> 00:22:53.300
And the accuser, as in Satan, has been kicked out. Now that you know it, go overcome. How?

00:22:54.300 --> 00:23:03.300
By knowing that Christ's life blood has been poured out for everybody, that you must bear witness and the Holy Spirit will be there immediately.

00:23:03.300 --> 00:23:14.300
And three, love your life a little less. Start there. Don't die. But at least love life a little less. Start there.

00:23:15.300 --> 00:23:23.300
Any questions? It's a lifestyle, guys, that we're trying to develop. So many things in this church have become a lifestyle.

00:23:23.300 --> 00:23:31.300
What an amazing piece to add to our life. What an amazing piece to add to our lives.

00:23:35.300 --> 00:23:41.300
We love it. We've loved everything else God has put into our lives. It's become part of our culture.

00:23:42.300 --> 00:23:50.300
When this gets added, all those things we've longed for. Because remember, wherever you bear witness, there the Spirit of God turns up.

00:23:50.300 --> 00:23:57.300
And if he turns up, he bears witness to our witness, which is what Mark 16, verse 18-20 said.

00:23:57.300 --> 00:24:07.300
And they went out and began to preach the good news. And God worked with them, endorsing what they spoke with signs and wonders.

00:24:11.300 --> 00:24:20.300
Have longed for it, right? Now as we go out, on one hand we should say to the world, let my people go, and on the other hand in the church we should say, let my people go.

00:24:22.300 --> 00:24:24.300
Both places people need to be let go.

00:24:30.300 --> 00:24:35.300
So this is a lifestyle we'll cultivate and it'll become part of our life. What a beautiful addition to our lives.

00:24:35.300 --> 00:24:42.300
What's our mission? Go to Mark 3, verse 14 and 15.

00:24:56.300 --> 00:24:59.300
I'm reading from, I think the NLT or the message, I'm not sure.

00:24:59.300 --> 00:25:09.300
He settled on the 12 and designated them apostles. The plan was that they would be with him,

00:25:14.300 --> 00:25:17.300
that he would send them out

00:25:22.300 --> 00:25:24.300
to proclaim the word.

00:25:29.300 --> 00:25:31.300
And to banish demons.

00:25:38.300 --> 00:25:41.300
Mark 3, verse 14 and 15.

00:25:45.300 --> 00:25:52.300
This is our mission. What is the disciples' mission? The disciples' mission is that they would be with him.

00:25:52.300 --> 00:26:00.300
How can we be with him now? One, yes, we connect with him, we communicate with him on a daily basis.

00:26:00.300 --> 00:26:07.300
But the other way of being with him is being with ones that have been with him for longer so that you get to learn from them too.

00:26:07.300 --> 00:26:13.300
It's always that way. Why did Jesus call people to himself so that they could be with him?

00:26:13.300 --> 00:26:21.300
In the same way, as an apprentice learns from someone who's done this before, go with them. It gives you more courage.

00:26:21.300 --> 00:26:27.300
Why are we going out two by two? Because you'll be surprised at how much more strength you have when you go out two by two.

00:26:27.300 --> 00:26:31.300
Suddenly, it's fun being rejected together.

00:26:34.300 --> 00:26:39.300
Being rejected alone, you feel like a dog with its tail between its legs.

00:26:41.300 --> 00:26:45.300
When rejected together, you feel like two dogs being rejected with their tails between their legs.

00:26:45.300 --> 00:26:50.300
Some strengthen it. Two by two is critical.

00:26:55.300 --> 00:27:00.300
Our mission is to go with... In some areas, we need to learn from others.

00:27:04.300 --> 00:27:10.300
They would be with him, he would send them out. Here's the crazy thing. They were not going to be with him so he could keep them.

00:27:10.300 --> 00:27:14.300
They were going to be with him so he could send them out. Right off the bat, he told them,

00:27:14.300 --> 00:27:18.300
guys, just so you know, if you come with me, you will be going.

00:27:19.300 --> 00:27:27.300
If you come with me, you will be going. Come and go with me. Not to my father's house, but out into my father's world.

00:27:27.300 --> 00:27:35.300
Some of the old timers here will know that song. Come and go with me to my father's house, to my father's house.

00:27:35.300 --> 00:27:43.300
That's like escaping and going to heaven. The actual song is, come and go with me into my father's world, into my father's world.

00:27:43.300 --> 00:27:48.300
Where things really get nasty, come and go with me into my father's world.

00:27:48.300 --> 00:27:52.300
And the actual song says, there's joy, joy, joy. Here it says...

00:27:58.300 --> 00:28:04.300
And then, to do what? To proclaim the word and to banish demons or to cast out demons.

00:28:04.300 --> 00:28:07.300
I'm quoting scripture. I'm not adding anything to it.

00:28:09.300 --> 00:28:17.300
This is kind of what I want us to be aware of, that there is the casting out of demons that is part of the proclamation of the gospel.

00:28:17.300 --> 00:28:22.300
How we go about it, we'll talk about. Next time we may talk about healing.

00:28:34.300 --> 00:28:39.300
Here's the other crazy thing. Even when we teach, even our teaching...

00:28:41.300 --> 00:28:51.300
You know, when you read Mark 1, 21 to 28, beautiful scriptures, man. I've so enjoyed reading the gospels this week.

00:28:51.300 --> 00:28:55.300
Mark 1, 21 to 28.

00:28:55.300 --> 00:29:03.300
Mark 1, 21 to 28. I mean, what was it to follow this man around, man?

00:29:03.300 --> 00:29:07.300
Starting at 21, reading from the NIV.

00:29:07.300 --> 00:29:13.300
They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.

00:29:13.300 --> 00:29:21.300
The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.

00:29:22.300 --> 00:29:28.300
Just then, a man in the synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out,

00:29:28.300 --> 00:29:35.300
What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.

00:29:35.300 --> 00:29:38.300
Be quiet, said Jesus sternly. Come out of him.

00:29:38.300 --> 00:29:43.300
The evil spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.

00:29:43.300 --> 00:29:47.300
The people were so amazed that they asked each other, what is this?

00:29:48.300 --> 00:29:54.300
A new teaching and with authority? He even gives orders to evil spirits and they obey him.

00:29:54.300 --> 00:29:58.300
News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

00:29:58.300 --> 00:30:02.300
You know, people nowadays want authoritative teaching.

00:30:02.300 --> 00:30:06.300
You don't want to exchange authoritative teaching for teaching with authority.

00:30:06.300 --> 00:30:12.300
Authoritative teaching will have all the Greek and the Hebrew and the process and the system.

00:30:13.300 --> 00:30:22.300
But at the end of the day, do you want the ho ho ho or do you want to, in your teaching, present the truth?

00:30:22.300 --> 00:30:26.300
And the truth happens to be the person of Christ.

00:30:26.300 --> 00:30:31.300
Can you imagine where you begin to teach, where you begin to speak about Jesus and as you speak,

00:30:31.300 --> 00:30:35.300
it's like one of those science fiction movies where as you speak a hologram appears.

00:30:35.300 --> 00:30:40.300
I'm not saying Jesus turns up like that. I'm just saying that is what we are talking about.

00:30:40.300 --> 00:30:46.300
We are teaching is so from within, so from the spirit that as you speak,

00:30:46.300 --> 00:30:53.300
the person of Christ becomes real where you are talking and that provokes the demonic.

00:30:53.300 --> 00:30:58.300
It does two things. It exposes falsehood and it drives it away.

00:30:58.300 --> 00:31:05.300
Begin to expect this guys. Begin to expect this. It's a long time coming.

00:31:05.300 --> 00:31:09.300
2006, people have been saying it's in 2006.

00:31:09.300 --> 00:31:15.300
May you be not the generation but the bunch of guys who sees the beginning of it.

00:31:15.300 --> 00:31:20.300
Let there not be another influx before we see this because still that's getting old.

00:31:20.300 --> 00:31:25.300
Yeah. So make sure that this begins to happen.

00:31:28.300 --> 00:31:33.300
Do you want me to explain anything, the last sentence? No. Okay.

00:31:35.300 --> 00:31:38.300
Go ahead.

00:31:43.300 --> 00:31:45.300
When do we?

00:31:49.300 --> 00:31:55.300
Swine. Yeah. So Jesus says do not throw your pearls before swine.

00:31:55.300 --> 00:31:58.300
When do we, how do we go about that?

00:31:58.300 --> 00:32:05.300
At the end, one of the statements I have is balancing Ecclesiastes 3.1,

00:32:05.300 --> 00:32:12.300
which says there's a time and a season for everything with Ecclesiastes 11.4-6,

00:32:12.300 --> 00:32:18.300
which says one who watches for the wind will not chop down a tree.

00:32:18.300 --> 00:32:26.300
So it's not one or the other. We hold it in tension and we begin our work

00:32:26.300 --> 00:32:31.300
and then look for the season or the time. So we don't look for pigs.

00:32:31.300 --> 00:32:37.300
Don't throw your pearls before swine. We don't look for the swine.

00:32:37.300 --> 00:32:40.300
We look for the pearls and we have those pearls and we're going around.

00:32:40.300 --> 00:32:44.300
So the intent is not to hold back the pearls.

00:32:44.300 --> 00:32:47.300
No, the intent is not to spot the pigs. The intent is to,

00:32:47.300 --> 00:32:50.300
I want to distribute these pearls but I also know seasons and times.

00:32:51.300 --> 00:32:57.300
And Ecclesiastes 3.1 puts it so beautifully. Ecclesiastes 3.1, 3 verses 1-6 says

00:32:57.300 --> 00:33:01.300
there's a season and a time for everything. A time to be born, a time to die.

00:33:01.300 --> 00:33:06.300
A time to harvest, a time to sow. A time to mourn, a time to be happy.

00:33:06.300 --> 00:33:10.300
And one must know it. There will be someone you will meet at Starbucks

00:33:10.300 --> 00:33:13.300
who is mourning because their mother died yesterday.

00:33:13.300 --> 00:33:17.300
And if you are able to discern it, you will not start with,

00:33:17.300 --> 00:33:20.300
hey, Jesus wants to bring joy into your life.

00:33:20.300 --> 00:33:23.300
You'll start with a different sentence.

00:33:23.300 --> 00:33:28.300
There's a time and a season. Can we discern that by the spirit?

00:33:28.300 --> 00:33:32.300
Because he's present there. Remember, every time you go out to witness,

00:33:32.300 --> 00:33:36.300
the spirit of God is there. To do what? To help you.

00:33:36.300 --> 00:33:39.300
Why? Because the person needs help.

00:33:39.300 --> 00:33:43.300
We just haven't practiced this enough to lean back on this.

00:33:44.300 --> 00:33:47.300
It's only a matter of practice.

00:33:47.300 --> 00:33:52.300
You know how to prophesy on people. Why? Because you've gotten used to practicing it.

00:33:55.300 --> 00:33:58.300
It's only a matter of practice, guys.

00:33:58.300 --> 00:34:02.300
And now having figured out what the season or the time is, we don't hold back.

00:34:02.300 --> 00:34:06.300
We're not waiting for the wind to change directions before we do something.

00:34:06.300 --> 00:34:11.300
Ecclesiastes 11, verses 4-6 says a man who watches the wind

00:34:11.300 --> 00:34:14.300
before he goes to work will not work.

00:34:14.300 --> 00:34:18.300
A man who wants to chop down a tree, if he's trying to determine which way the tree will fall,

00:34:18.300 --> 00:34:21.300
he won't chop the tree. And then it goes on to say,

00:34:21.300 --> 00:34:26.300
so, get up in the morning, trust God, take your acts, set your hand to work,

00:34:26.300 --> 00:34:29.300
and let things happen as they happen.

00:34:29.300 --> 00:34:36.300
It's holding both intention. Or go to Isaiah 28, verses 23-28.

00:34:36.300 --> 00:34:42.300
It says there's cumin, there's barley, there's wheat.

00:34:42.300 --> 00:34:47.300
Each one is threshed differently. Each one is worked on differently.

00:34:47.300 --> 00:34:52.300
Can you imagine if God used the same method to draw me to Christ with you?

00:34:52.300 --> 00:34:56.300
Mine was very simple. You're going to hell.

00:34:56.300 --> 00:35:03.300
I turned to him. It was a loving message, but it carried very negative connotations.

00:35:03.300 --> 00:35:08.300
You don't change, you're going to hell. I came running.

00:35:08.300 --> 00:35:13.300
But with some you try that and it won't work.

00:35:20.300 --> 00:35:28.300
Even in your speaking and teaching, try to present, try to build the composite of Christ the best you know.

00:35:29.300 --> 00:35:34.300
Sometimes I pray God that Father, I worked really hard on this teaching.

00:35:34.300 --> 00:35:39.300
Help me not to get caught up in it. Help me not to get caught up in it.

00:35:39.300 --> 00:35:45.300
Help me to present the composite of Christ so that you and the way your heart works

00:35:45.300 --> 00:35:48.300
and your mind works becomes evident to everybody.

00:35:48.300 --> 00:35:54.300
That is so much better than a set of notes that are brilliant.

00:35:54.300 --> 00:36:01.300
So even in our teaching if we can do that, my God man, that's when demons and falsehoods are exposed.

00:36:01.300 --> 00:36:08.300
Falsehoods are exposed. He's teaching and a man can't bear his presence beautifully.

00:36:08.300 --> 00:36:12.300
What can't bear his presence? Darkness cannot bear his presence.

00:36:12.300 --> 00:36:17.300
We set people free from the power of Satan to the power of God.

00:36:17.300 --> 00:36:22.300
What else are we doing when we go out like this?

00:36:22.300 --> 00:36:35.300
We are giving evidence of a king who is making all things new,

00:36:35.300 --> 00:36:42.300
which in a sense sums up what the kingdom is.

00:36:42.300 --> 00:36:48.300
A king who is making all things new. A king who is kinging.

00:36:48.300 --> 00:36:53.300
A king who is kinging. He's making all things new.

00:36:53.300 --> 00:36:57.300
And nothing matters to him more than making a person new.

00:36:57.300 --> 00:37:02.300
In Matthew 12, 27 and 28. Matthew 12, 27 and 28.

00:37:02.300 --> 00:37:05.300
Take great courage from this. It says,

00:37:06.300 --> 00:37:12.300
It says, if I am casting out demons by the Holy Spirit,

00:37:12.300 --> 00:37:17.300
then know that the kingdom of God is in your midst.

00:37:17.300 --> 00:37:23.300
As in, hey guys, as you go forth, I will have you deliver people.

00:37:23.300 --> 00:37:28.300
I said that in Isaiah 61. I've said that to the apostles.

00:37:28.300 --> 00:37:32.300
I said that in Mark 16, 17, 18. This is something I want to do.

00:37:32.300 --> 00:37:35.300
I'm turning them from darkness to the light.

00:37:35.300 --> 00:37:38.300
I'm turning them from the power of Satan to the power of God.

00:37:38.300 --> 00:37:42.300
You may not even see it, but you need to know that I'm up to this.

00:37:42.300 --> 00:37:51.300
And if my spirit of God is doing this, then know, Dhillna, no crystal, no toony,

00:37:51.300 --> 00:37:58.300
that I, the king of kings, is actually kinging and making things new.

00:37:58.300 --> 00:38:02.300
It's happening. And awareness of the invisible.

00:38:02.300 --> 00:38:06.300
If we could for a second open our eyes and see what happens around us,

00:38:06.300 --> 00:38:10.300
it would be crazy, man. It would be crazy.

00:38:10.300 --> 00:38:13.300
Unfortunately, that doesn't happen.

00:38:17.300 --> 00:38:22.300
The words you are saying are hitting so hard some guy who you don't know,

00:38:22.300 --> 00:38:25.300
but everything you are saying is making sense to him

00:38:25.300 --> 00:38:28.300
because you don't know what happened to him yesterday.

00:38:30.300 --> 00:38:36.300
One of the guys that Davant and I spoke to today was a guy who heard of his young friend

00:38:36.300 --> 00:38:40.300
die in Hong Kong the day before. What does that do to him?

00:38:40.300 --> 00:38:44.300
Jesus said this to his disciples in Matthew 10, verse 7,

00:38:44.300 --> 00:38:48.300
As you go, tell them that the kingdom of heaven is near.

00:38:48.300 --> 00:38:52.300
He said, Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life,

00:38:52.300 --> 00:38:55.300
make those who have skin diseases clean again,

00:38:55.300 --> 00:39:00.300
drive out demons you have received freely, give them the power of God.

00:39:00.300 --> 00:39:03.300
He said, Heal the sick, bring the dead back to life,

00:39:03.300 --> 00:39:06.300
make those who have skin diseases clean again,

00:39:06.300 --> 00:39:10.300
drive out demons you have received freely, give freely.

00:39:10.300 --> 00:39:15.300
The moment you see anyone who has any skin problems, immediately remember Jesus.

00:39:15.300 --> 00:39:18.300
He likes taking care of skin problems.

00:39:18.300 --> 00:39:22.300
Dare to say, Hey, can I just pray with you?

00:39:22.300 --> 00:39:28.300
I know thousands who had skin problems change.

00:39:28.300 --> 00:39:32.300
But Jacob, I don't know if there are thousands. Jesus said he did that with...

00:39:32.300 --> 00:39:36.300
Okay, make it a few hundred then if you are suspicious about a thousand.

00:39:46.300 --> 00:39:48.300
Any questions?

00:39:48.300 --> 00:39:52.300
Okay, how do we initiate the process of dealing with the devil?

00:39:52.300 --> 00:39:55.300
How do we initiate the process of dealing with the devil?

00:39:56.300 --> 00:39:58.300
How do we initiate the process?

00:39:58.300 --> 00:40:00.300
We'll just follow what the scriptures say.

00:40:00.300 --> 00:40:10.300
Initiating the process of dealing with the demonic.

00:40:10.300 --> 00:40:13.300
You know what surprised me guys?

00:40:13.300 --> 00:40:19.300
I just thought, let me check out what Christians, like solid Christians,

00:40:19.300 --> 00:40:23.300
Christians that I would listen to say about this.

00:40:23.300 --> 00:40:30.300
I was surprised at how many say that this was in the gospels to prove who Christ was.

00:40:30.300 --> 00:40:35.300
And that it's not something we should pursue now.

00:40:43.300 --> 00:40:51.300
I mean, there's that website called gotquestions.org or something where you have amazing answers to God.

00:40:51.300 --> 00:40:55.300
They didn't necessarily espouse this way of thinking.

00:40:55.300 --> 00:40:59.300
I listened to some other guys that are really good so I won't mention the names.

00:40:59.300 --> 00:41:04.300
They also said this was to prove that Christ was God.

00:41:04.300 --> 00:41:06.300
So what is he now?

00:41:10.300 --> 00:41:13.300
It's a dying belief guys.

00:41:13.300 --> 00:41:20.300
And the way to give life to a dying belief is when people who have life begin to practice

00:41:20.300 --> 00:41:24.300
truth. It's always been that way.

00:41:29.300 --> 00:41:32.300
So how did the gospels initiate this?

00:41:32.300 --> 00:41:36.300
Here are some ways that the gospels initiated this.

00:41:36.300 --> 00:41:41.300
Mark 1, Mark 1, 32 to 34.

00:41:41.300 --> 00:41:47.300
It says, in the evening after sunset, people brought to Jesus,

00:41:48.300 --> 00:42:03.300
brought to Jesus all the sick and demonized or possessed.

00:42:03.300 --> 00:42:18.300
And Jesus healed them and drove out demons.

00:42:20.300 --> 00:42:23.300
So that's one way they brought to Jesus.

00:42:23.300 --> 00:42:40.300
As in they will bring to you those that are suffering spiritually.

00:42:43.300 --> 00:42:50.300
But they won't bring to you unless they know you can help.

00:42:53.300 --> 00:42:56.300
So start advertising.

00:42:56.300 --> 00:43:00.300
Start advertising the Christ who sets people free.

00:43:01.300 --> 00:43:08.300
When I was at another church before this, there was a man who used to drive a truck.

00:43:08.300 --> 00:43:17.300
And every time he would drive a truck, this power would cause him to veer off the road

00:43:17.300 --> 00:43:20.300
and deliberately cause an accident.

00:43:20.300 --> 00:43:24.300
And so he went to multiple temples.

00:43:24.300 --> 00:43:30.300
He went to places that were spiritual here in Vancouver and nothing would help.

00:43:30.300 --> 00:43:33.300
And so he decided he would come to a church.

00:43:33.300 --> 00:43:42.300
But every time he would come to a church, his relatives in India would know that he has visited a church.

00:43:42.300 --> 00:43:46.300
And they would call him and say, why are you going to churches?

00:43:46.300 --> 00:43:55.300
And so in desperation, he went to a particular church on Fraser and they didn't know what to do.

00:43:55.300 --> 00:44:04.300
And so they referred the person to Acts 29 saying, Jacob, is there any way you can help?

00:44:04.300 --> 00:44:11.300
We've got to get to that place where people refer people to us saying, we have heard that you can help.

00:44:11.300 --> 00:44:14.300
How do we do that? By practicing truths.

00:44:14.300 --> 00:44:21.300
And so this person comes to Acts 29 and we tell him about who Christ is.

00:44:21.300 --> 00:44:23.300
He receives Christ.

00:44:24.300 --> 00:44:26.300
The demon leaves.

00:44:26.300 --> 00:44:30.300
And as it leaves, you can see his hair literally moving from one side to the other.

00:44:30.300 --> 00:44:34.300
It is just something physical that happened.

00:44:34.300 --> 00:44:37.300
But the point was not the hair moving from one side to the other.

00:44:37.300 --> 00:44:41.300
The point was this man leaves as a believer.

00:44:41.300 --> 00:44:51.300
He takes all the clothes, all the charms, all the rings that he had received from places in India and he trashes it and burns it.

00:44:51.300 --> 00:44:56.300
The moment he burns it, the people in India stop hearing what's happening to him here.

00:44:59.300 --> 00:45:08.300
We need to develop a reputation as a church that if you bring someone, they will go home free.

00:45:11.300 --> 00:45:14.300
And it can't be one or two.

00:45:14.300 --> 00:45:18.300
What if an entire group of people could behave like this?

00:45:18.300 --> 00:45:22.300
What if we walk towards that?

00:45:25.300 --> 00:45:29.300
Because these things are dying. Time to give it life.

00:45:31.300 --> 00:45:34.300
So they can't bring them to you unless they know about it.

00:45:34.300 --> 00:45:36.300
They can't know unless it's true.

00:45:36.300 --> 00:45:38.300
Anything true gets out.

00:45:38.300 --> 00:45:41.300
Jesus used to do this and he used to try to keep it quiet.

00:45:41.300 --> 00:45:43.300
Even Jesus failed. You got no chance.

00:45:46.300 --> 00:45:55.300
Jesus failed to keep his miracles quiet because someone would go and tell someone and every place he went to, he would not be able to enter because someone blabbed.

00:45:55.300 --> 00:45:57.300
But how can you not blab about this?

00:45:57.300 --> 00:45:58.300
Next one.

00:45:58.300 --> 00:46:00.300
Confrontation.

00:46:00.300 --> 00:46:08.300
Sometimes what would happen in the Bible is there would be confrontations like in Mark 5 verse 6.

00:46:08.300 --> 00:46:10.300
What happens in Mark 5, 6?

00:46:10.300 --> 00:46:19.300
Jesus comes to a land called Gerizin or Gadarene and there is a man who is Roman and he is a Christian.

00:46:19.300 --> 00:46:31.300
In Mark 5, 6, Jesus comes to a land called Gerizin or Gadarene and there is a man who is roaming in the tombs who cuts himself, who breaks his chains.

00:46:31.300 --> 00:46:33.300
And there is a confrontation.

00:46:33.300 --> 00:46:35.300
And in the confrontation the man is set free.

00:46:35.300 --> 00:46:37.300
Go further down. Acts chapter 16.

00:46:37.300 --> 00:46:39.300
There is a confrontation.

00:46:39.300 --> 00:46:52.300
And as Paul is walking around and as he is walking around there is a woman who comes up and keeps saying stuff about Paul and Barnabas till he gets annoyed and he confronts the spirit that is at work in her.

00:46:52.300 --> 00:46:54.300
Acts 16 verse 18.

00:46:54.300 --> 00:46:56.300
And he casts out the spirit.

00:46:56.300 --> 00:47:02.300
Many times God will create encounters so that you see a confrontation so that you can set the person free.

00:47:02.300 --> 00:47:04.300
Hallelujah! Just think of it for a second.

00:47:04.300 --> 00:47:07.300
These are not chance things that happen.

00:47:07.300 --> 00:47:17.300
These are encounters orchestrated by God where he uses the enemy's desire to attract attention as the very means of setting the person free.

00:47:17.300 --> 00:47:23.300
The encounter is so that Christ can use you to set the person free.

00:47:23.300 --> 00:47:35.300
I am hearing about a person who at present is dealing with a young child who cannot help what is happening inside her.

00:47:35.300 --> 00:47:41.300
But it has come out into the open and the child can be set free.

00:47:41.300 --> 00:47:52.300
So these are the different methods you will see in the Bible where God uses ordinary people like us who know and learn how to deal with the situation.

00:47:52.300 --> 00:48:00.300
And learn how to exert extraordinary authority to set someone free from an invisible power that holds them captive.

00:48:04.300 --> 00:48:07.300
What a glorious ministry we have guys.

00:48:07.300 --> 00:48:10.300
What a glorious ministry we have.

00:48:12.300 --> 00:48:17.300
To work with Christ in liberating the sons of God, the sons of Adam.

00:48:17.300 --> 00:48:21.300
Brought into bondage by that one evil thing that happened.

00:48:21.300 --> 00:48:23.300
Thousands of years of bondage.

00:48:26.300 --> 00:48:31.300
With what? With simple words like, peace be still. Come out of him.

00:48:32.300 --> 00:48:34.300
Those are the words that set people free.

00:48:37.300 --> 00:48:42.300
And we shall get there because we will practice the truth.

00:48:42.300 --> 00:48:49.300
And as we practice the truth, the truth goes to work because the Spirit of God honors the Word of God and the King will King.

00:48:52.300 --> 00:48:56.300
These are foolproof, surefire methods.

00:48:56.300 --> 00:48:58.300
It's not going to fail.

00:48:58.300 --> 00:49:01.300
The only way this fails is if we withdraw.

00:49:01.300 --> 00:49:04.300
But we are not the type that will shrink.

00:49:04.300 --> 00:49:06.300
2 Timothy talks about that.

00:49:06.300 --> 00:49:09.300
Even when we are faithless, he is faithful.

00:49:10.300 --> 00:49:17.300
Third way that it would happen is you discern the condition of someone.

00:49:17.300 --> 00:49:19.300
Discern conditions.

00:49:21.300 --> 00:49:24.300
Acts 8.23.

00:49:25.300 --> 00:49:26.300
Acts 8.23.

00:49:26.300 --> 00:49:32.300
Where Paul is talking to this guy who has just been baptized and given his life to the Lord.

00:49:32.300 --> 00:49:37.300
And Paul says, hey, I see that you are bound up in bitterness and wickedness.

00:49:37.300 --> 00:49:40.300
If you don't repent, things will not go well with you.

00:49:40.300 --> 00:49:41.300
You discern.

00:49:41.300 --> 00:49:44.300
You are with somebody and you know they are troubled.

00:49:44.300 --> 00:49:48.300
You are with somebody and you know they are having nightmares.

00:49:48.300 --> 00:49:51.300
You are with somebody and you know there is torment in sight.

00:49:51.300 --> 00:49:56.300
You are with somebody and you know they are caught up in some sin that they cannot escape from.

00:49:56.300 --> 00:50:00.300
You are with somebody and you know that they go through bouts of depression.

00:50:00.300 --> 00:50:01.300
Nobody has told you that.

00:50:01.300 --> 00:50:08.300
It's the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit to reveal to you something that allows you to discern the condition of a person.

00:50:08.300 --> 00:50:13.300
Hand with simple words, you say, can I just pray with you and can I speak these words?

00:50:13.300 --> 00:50:15.300
And you speak these words over them.

00:50:15.300 --> 00:50:16.300
Patak.

00:50:16.300 --> 00:50:19.300
Patak is Greek for suddenly.

00:50:19.300 --> 00:50:20.300
Yeah?

00:50:20.300 --> 00:50:21.300
Patak.

00:50:21.300 --> 00:50:23.300
It changes.

00:50:26.300 --> 00:50:27.300
Yeah?

00:50:28.300 --> 00:50:30.300
Any questions?

00:50:33.300 --> 00:50:34.300
Discern.

00:50:35.300 --> 00:50:39.300
These are ways in the Bible that people dealt with powers.

00:50:41.300 --> 00:50:42.300
Last one.

00:50:43.300 --> 00:50:44.300
Sickness.

00:50:46.300 --> 00:50:54.300
And demons sometimes work in tandem.

00:50:54.300 --> 00:50:56.300
Not all sicknesses, some.

00:50:56.300 --> 00:51:04.300
You may meet people who are sometimes sick, not because of an illness but because of a spirit.

00:51:04.300 --> 00:51:11.300
So you see that in Luke 13, verse 11.

00:51:12.300 --> 00:51:14.300
Luke 13, verse 11.

00:51:14.300 --> 00:51:21.300
Where there was a woman who was bent for 18 years or 38 years, I don't remember.

00:51:21.300 --> 00:51:27.300
And Jesus addresses her and asks her to come forward and she comes forward.

00:51:27.300 --> 00:51:32.300
And he says, woman, I set you free from the spirit of infirmity.

00:51:32.300 --> 00:51:36.300
He sets her free first from a spirit of infirmity.

00:51:36.300 --> 00:51:40.300
And after he does that, he takes his hand, puts it on her back.

00:51:40.300 --> 00:51:43.300
And the moment he puts it on her back, she straightens up.

00:51:43.300 --> 00:51:46.300
You see the same in Mark 7, 25.

00:51:46.300 --> 00:51:49.300
Sorry, Mark 7, 31 or thereabouts.

00:51:49.300 --> 00:51:57.300
Where you have a boy who is a girl who's deaf and Jesus just heals her of a deafness.

00:51:57.300 --> 00:51:58.300
It's just a sickness.

00:51:58.300 --> 00:52:05.300
And then you go to Mark 9, 25 and there's a boy out of whom he casts the spirit of deafness and muteness out.

00:52:05.300 --> 00:52:08.300
One was a spiritual condition, one was a sickness.

00:52:08.300 --> 00:52:10.300
How do we learn these things?

00:52:10.300 --> 00:52:14.300
We learn these through walking with others who've done this before

00:52:14.300 --> 00:52:17.300
and we learn this through walking with the spirit of God who teaches us.

00:52:17.300 --> 00:52:19.300
Both. Not one or the other.

00:52:19.300 --> 00:52:21.300
Not one or the other.

00:52:21.300 --> 00:52:26.300
Any man that does not learn from another man is a fool.

00:52:30.300 --> 00:52:32.300
Harsh words but true words.

00:52:32.300 --> 00:52:37.300
We learn from the spirit and we learn from others who have experience.

00:52:37.300 --> 00:52:40.300
We do that every day in human life.

00:52:40.300 --> 00:52:43.300
Any of you tried learning driving on your own?

00:52:43.300 --> 00:52:46.300
Most of you learned driving from Evan.

00:52:48.300 --> 00:52:53.300
Evan will get not just a mansion in heaven but a car.

00:52:57.300 --> 00:53:00.300
Sorry, someone raised a question.

00:53:00.300 --> 00:53:02.300
Okay.

00:53:08.300 --> 00:53:15.300
Let me end with the fact that sometimes like in Acts 19,

00:53:15.300 --> 00:53:19.300
let me end with the fact and then another fact after that.

00:53:19.300 --> 00:53:36.300
In Acts 19, 18, sometimes guys, people will have to give up heirlooms, charms, magic stuff.

00:53:37.300 --> 00:53:42.300
Ancestral stuff.

00:53:42.300 --> 00:53:48.300
Please don't think this is an Asian problem or a South Asian problem.

00:53:48.300 --> 00:53:50.300
It's a global problem.

00:53:50.300 --> 00:53:58.300
It just gets packaged differently in the West and it's not as well packaged in the East.

00:53:58.300 --> 00:54:00.300
That's the only difference.

00:54:00.300 --> 00:54:02.300
Satan uses the same tricks everywhere.

00:54:03.300 --> 00:54:13.300
So Acts 19, 18, it says that many that believed came and confessed and showed what they had.

00:54:13.300 --> 00:54:21.300
Many of them brought curious arts, books, things and burned them before the apostles

00:54:21.300 --> 00:54:25.300
and they counted the price of them and found it to be 50,000 pieces of silver.

00:54:25.300 --> 00:54:35.300
Like huge cache of heirlooms, traditional stuff, ancestral stuff.

00:54:35.300 --> 00:54:43.300
Doesn't matter whether you're Indian, Asian, German or Brit, we all have this stuff.

00:54:43.300 --> 00:54:50.300
And some of it is so deeply rooted in anything from witchcraft to masonry to occult to paganism to meditation

00:54:50.300 --> 00:54:58.300
to Buddhism to Jainism to anything that sometimes what we need to do is lay down the things that we hold on to

00:54:58.300 --> 00:55:02.300
and then help others lay it down too.

00:55:02.300 --> 00:55:09.300
We did a whole series on this and I know that many benefited as Betty here.

00:55:09.300 --> 00:55:16.300
She's teaching.

00:55:16.300 --> 00:55:20.300
So are there any things we should be aware of, alert?

00:55:20.300 --> 00:55:22.300
Just one thing, guys.

00:55:22.300 --> 00:55:37.300
When we deal with proclaiming the gospel and casting out spirits, foul spirits,

00:55:37.300 --> 00:55:47.300
we need to understand that authority is closely related to purity,

00:55:47.300 --> 00:55:55.300
is closely related to intimacy with Christ.

00:55:55.300 --> 00:55:58.300
Don't forget that.

00:55:58.300 --> 00:56:00.300
Keep increasing in this.

00:56:00.300 --> 00:56:02.300
I have to keep increasing in it.

00:56:02.300 --> 00:56:04.300
You have to keep increasing in it.

00:56:04.300 --> 00:56:07.300
Yeah?

00:56:07.300 --> 00:56:09.300
They're very closely related.

00:56:09.300 --> 00:56:21.300
And if this equation is not present, you will see failure only because the things that you come against

00:56:21.300 --> 00:56:28.300
will refuse to obey you because I don't obey the one above me.

00:56:28.300 --> 00:56:30.300
That's why.

00:56:30.300 --> 00:56:32.300
It's not that Christ is powerless.

00:56:32.300 --> 00:56:39.300
But if I am working under Chava and I do not listen to Chava,

00:56:39.300 --> 00:56:44.300
when Chava sends me to talk to Vivek, Vivek doesn't listen to me

00:56:44.300 --> 00:56:47.300
because he knows that Jacob doesn't listen to Chava.

00:56:47.300 --> 00:56:50.300
So why the heck should I?

00:56:50.300 --> 00:56:52.300
And if I don't, what can he do to me?

00:56:52.300 --> 00:56:56.300
Because he can't go talk to Chava because Chava knows how he behaves.

00:56:57.300 --> 00:57:02.300
And that is why we see failure every so often.

00:57:02.300 --> 00:57:06.300
And as this increases, your batting average increases.

00:57:06.300 --> 00:57:14.300
There are times when Christ will do it regardless of how you are.

00:57:14.300 --> 00:57:17.300
Richmond Pentecostal Church, 1994.

00:57:17.300 --> 00:57:22.300
A man called Alan Jones, praying for people.

00:57:22.300 --> 00:57:25.300
I was leading worship, finished, put my guitar down, was glad it was over.

00:57:25.300 --> 00:57:28.300
Because I wasn't doing well with the Lord.

00:57:28.300 --> 00:57:33.300
My life wasn't going the way the Lord wanted it to.

00:57:33.300 --> 00:57:36.300
Finished worship, went and sat down.

00:57:36.300 --> 00:57:42.300
And Alan Jones has this huge line of people that he's praying for.

00:57:42.300 --> 00:57:45.300
And he must have thought the worship leader is a really good guy.

00:57:45.300 --> 00:57:47.300
So he calls the worship leader out and says,

00:57:47.300 --> 00:57:50.300
Jacob, could you pray for these two people?

00:57:50.300 --> 00:57:51.300
And I said, okay.

00:57:51.300 --> 00:57:53.300
I'm thinking to myself, why today, oh God?

00:57:53.300 --> 00:57:57.300
And this woman comes up and she had tried jumping off the Alex Frasier.

00:57:57.300 --> 00:58:01.300
And so she comes up and I go and begin to pray for her.

00:58:01.300 --> 00:58:05.300
As I begin to pray for her, this demon begins to manifest.

00:58:05.300 --> 00:58:09.300
I don't know what to do because I've never dealt with this in my life.

00:58:09.300 --> 00:58:12.300
But surprisingly, God, because of his love for her,

00:58:12.300 --> 00:58:19.300
bypassed the fact that this was not working in my life and was able to rescue her.

00:58:19.300 --> 00:58:21.300
So God will do it despite you.

00:58:21.300 --> 00:58:26.300
This is why God still uses preachers and people that you find out later

00:58:26.300 --> 00:58:29.300
are living morally bankrupt lives.

00:58:29.300 --> 00:58:32.300
But God still uses them, not because they are usable,

00:58:32.300 --> 00:58:35.300
but because they're someone who's in desperate need.

00:58:35.300 --> 00:58:38.300
But what needs to happen is this.

00:58:38.300 --> 00:58:42.300
Authority is related to purity, is related to intimacy with Christ.

00:58:42.300 --> 00:58:47.300
As you increase in this, it is impossible not to increase in this.

00:58:47.300 --> 00:58:51.300
And as you increase in this, it is impossible not to increase in this.

00:58:51.300 --> 00:58:55.300
It's a very simple straightforward equation.

00:58:55.300 --> 00:58:57.300
This is not faultless living.

00:58:57.300 --> 00:58:59.300
It is increase in intimacy.

00:58:59.300 --> 00:59:02.300
Hello, this is important, guys.

00:59:02.300 --> 00:59:05.300
It is not faultless living.

00:59:05.300 --> 00:59:08.300
It is increase in intimacy.

00:59:08.300 --> 00:59:12.300
An increase in intimacy always relates to an increase in purity,

00:59:12.300 --> 00:59:16.300
which always relates and an increase in authority.

00:59:16.300 --> 00:59:21.300
And that no enemy can come against.

00:59:21.300 --> 00:59:24.300
Because he was fully yielded to his father,

00:59:24.300 --> 00:59:28.300
everything around him fully yielded to him.

00:59:28.300 --> 00:59:33.300
To the extent that you are fully yielded and increasingly yielded to Christ,

00:59:33.300 --> 00:59:36.300
to that extent, everything around bows to you.

00:59:36.300 --> 00:59:40.300
Bowels to you.

00:59:40.300 --> 00:59:42.300
No, Jacob, it bows to Christ.

00:59:42.300 --> 00:59:47.300
No, it bows to you because you are standing there with Christ.

00:59:47.300 --> 00:59:52.300
In the name of Christ, you're saying it.

00:59:52.300 --> 00:59:58.300
So this week, as you go out again, two by two or three by three,

00:59:58.300 --> 01:00:06.300
go out and this time go down the route of can I pray for you?

01:00:06.300 --> 01:00:07.300
Yeah?

01:00:07.300 --> 01:00:11.300
This week, it's can I pray for you?

01:00:11.300 --> 01:00:18.300
So if an opportunity opens up a proclamation after or before, take it.

01:00:18.300 --> 01:00:22.300
Because remember, we are here to open their eyes

01:00:22.300 --> 01:00:26.300
so that they may escape from the power of Satan to the power of God,

01:00:26.300 --> 01:00:28.300
that they may turn from darkness to the light,

01:00:28.300 --> 01:00:30.300
that they may receive forgiveness of sins,

01:00:30.300 --> 01:00:36.300
and that they may become part of the father's family like you are.

01:00:36.300 --> 01:00:42.300
But this week, you're asking people, hey, can I pray for you?

01:00:42.300 --> 01:00:44.300
Maybe some of you should just rent a table outside Starbucks

01:00:44.300 --> 01:00:50.300
and park yourself there with a sign.

01:00:50.300 --> 01:00:54.300
Oh, God, those girls may actually do it.

01:00:54.300 --> 01:00:57.300
So this week, it's can I pray for you?

01:00:57.300 --> 01:00:58.300
Yeah?

01:00:58.300 --> 01:01:02.300
It's 6.16. Can we break bread, please?

01:01:02.300 --> 01:01:29.300
I want you to read certain scriptures about the breaking of bread.

01:01:29.300 --> 01:01:31.300
Let's read Exodus 24.

01:01:31.300 --> 01:01:51.300
Exodus 24.

01:01:51.300 --> 01:01:58.300
Verse 4.

01:01:58.300 --> 01:02:01.300
Moses then wrote down, Exodus 24, verse 4.

01:02:01.300 --> 01:02:04.300
Moses then wrote down everything the Lord had said.

01:02:04.300 --> 01:02:10.300
He got up early the next morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain

01:02:10.300 --> 01:02:15.300
and set up twelve stone pillars representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

01:02:15.300 --> 01:02:19.300
Then he sent young Israelite men, and they offered burnt offerings

01:02:19.300 --> 01:02:24.300
and sacrificed young bulls as fellowship offerings to the Lord.

01:02:24.300 --> 01:02:28.300
Moses took half of the blood and put it in the bowls,

01:02:28.300 --> 01:02:32.300
and the other half he sprinkled on the altar.

01:02:32.300 --> 01:02:35.300
Then he took the book of the covenant and read it to the people.

01:02:35.300 --> 01:02:39.300
They responded, we will do everything the Lord has said.

01:02:39.300 --> 01:02:40.300
We will obey.

01:02:40.300 --> 01:02:44.300
Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people.

01:02:44.300 --> 01:02:48.300
This is the blood of the covenant the Lord has made with you

01:02:48.300 --> 01:02:50.300
in accordance with all these words.

01:02:50.300 --> 01:02:51.300
Imagine the scene.

01:02:51.300 --> 01:02:56.300
So he's built an altar with twelve stones representing the twelve tribes.

01:02:56.300 --> 01:03:03.300
He gets the young men to come and sacrifice bulls and goats.

01:03:03.300 --> 01:03:07.300
Then he takes the blood from the bulls and goats, and it's kept in these vessels.

01:03:07.300 --> 01:03:13.300
He takes some of the blood and sprinkles it on the stone tablets that he's,

01:03:13.300 --> 01:03:17.300
or the tablets that he's written the law on.

01:03:17.300 --> 01:03:19.300
Then he sprinkles some on the altar.

01:03:19.300 --> 01:03:20.300
Then guess what he does?

01:03:20.300 --> 01:03:24.300
He takes it and he goes around sprinkling the blood of bulls and goats on the people.

01:03:24.300 --> 01:03:27.300
They're standing there, thousands of them,

01:03:27.300 --> 01:03:31.300
and he's sprinkling them with the blood of bulls and goats.

01:03:31.300 --> 01:03:34.300
And then you go to Hebrews 7.

01:03:34.300 --> 01:03:37.300
Go to Hebrews 7.

01:03:37.300 --> 01:03:39.300
And look at the words, eh?

01:03:39.300 --> 01:03:46.300
The words that Jesus spoke are the words that were taken from Exodus 24.

01:03:46.300 --> 01:03:48.300
Look at the words he speaks.

01:03:48.300 --> 01:03:52.300
In Exodus 24, verse 8,

01:03:52.300 --> 01:03:56.300
Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said,

01:03:56.300 --> 01:04:00.300
This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you

01:04:00.300 --> 01:04:02.300
in accordance with all these words.

01:04:02.300 --> 01:04:04.300
Jesus uses the very same words.

01:04:04.300 --> 01:04:06.300
Now go to Hebrews 7.

01:04:06.300 --> 01:04:08.300
Hebrews 7.

01:04:10.300 --> 01:04:12.300
Hebrews 7.

01:04:16.300 --> 01:04:32.300
Can you find the place where it talks about?

01:04:32.300 --> 01:04:34.300
Thank you.

01:04:34.300 --> 01:04:46.300
Where he sprang...

01:04:46.300 --> 01:04:48.300
Sorry, Hebrews 9.

01:04:48.300 --> 01:04:54.300
Hebrews 9, verse 11 onwards.

01:04:54.300 --> 01:04:58.300
When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here,

01:04:58.300 --> 01:05:03.300
he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made.

01:05:03.300 --> 01:05:06.300
That is to say, not a part of this creation.

01:05:06.300 --> 01:05:10.300
He did not enter it by the means of the blood of goats and calves,

01:05:10.300 --> 01:05:14.300
but entered the most holy place once and for all by his own blood,

01:05:14.300 --> 01:05:17.300
having obtained eternal redemption.

01:05:17.300 --> 01:05:22.300
The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a hypha sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean,

01:05:22.300 --> 01:05:25.300
sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.

01:05:25.300 --> 01:05:29.300
How much more then will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit,

01:05:29.300 --> 01:05:32.300
offered himself unblemished to God,

01:05:32.300 --> 01:05:41.300
cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death so that we may serve the living God.

01:05:41.300 --> 01:05:45.300
Hebrews 9.

01:05:45.300 --> 01:05:50.300
You are sprinkled absolutely clean.

01:05:50.300 --> 01:05:54.300
Relish that for a moment.

01:05:54.300 --> 01:05:56.300
Please look at me.

01:05:56.300 --> 01:05:58.300
I rarely ask that.

01:05:58.300 --> 01:06:10.300
You are absolutely cleansed from all sin, all fault, all wickedness, all iniquity, all transgression, all law-breaking.

01:06:10.300 --> 01:06:17.300
Every wrong thing you have done, thought, felt, everything, totally cleansed.

01:06:17.300 --> 01:06:22.300
You are the purest people on earth.

01:06:22.300 --> 01:06:24.300
Can you relish it? Can you taste it?

01:06:24.300 --> 01:06:32.300
Very hard. We find it very difficult.

01:06:32.300 --> 01:06:40.300
So as you feel it, shout it out in your own words before we eat and drink.

01:06:40.300 --> 01:06:43.300
We'll eat and drink together.

01:06:54.300 --> 01:06:59.300
Understand how clean you are.

01:06:59.300 --> 01:07:06.300
And if you can put it in words, put it in words.

01:07:06.300 --> 01:07:23.300
I want to speak on behalf of everybody to you, Father,

01:07:23.300 --> 01:07:50.300
and say this is a spotless, blemishless bride.

01:07:50.300 --> 01:08:19.300
I am guiltless at this moment before you.

01:08:20.300 --> 01:08:43.300
Because the fans are on, speak louder, yeah, guys?

01:08:43.300 --> 01:09:08.300
Hallelujah.

01:09:08.300 --> 01:09:33.300
There's something I share with you, Lord.

01:10:03.300 --> 01:10:19.300
Amen.

01:10:19.300 --> 01:10:22.300
Who can bring an accusation against me?

01:10:22.300 --> 01:10:24.300
Who is he who condemns?

01:10:24.300 --> 01:10:37.300
Christ has absolutely set me free.

01:10:37.300 --> 01:10:41.300
I look behind me and my past is undone.

01:10:41.300 --> 01:10:54.300
My sins as far away as the East is from the West.

01:10:54.300 --> 01:11:23.300
Restore unto us the joy of your salvation.

01:11:23.300 --> 01:11:51.300
Amen.

01:11:51.300 --> 01:11:55.300
Amen.

01:11:55.300 --> 01:12:19.300
You don't tolerate us, Abba. You cherish us.

01:12:19.300 --> 01:12:24.300
Yeah.

01:12:24.300 --> 01:12:30.300
Yeah, man.

01:12:30.300 --> 01:12:39.300
Yeah.

01:12:39.300 --> 01:12:42.300
Yeah.

01:12:42.300 --> 01:12:46.300
Yeah.

01:12:46.300 --> 01:12:56.300
Always presentable.

01:12:56.300 --> 01:13:04.300
No guilt, no condemnation, no separation, no sin.

01:13:04.300 --> 01:13:11.300
Yeah.

01:13:11.300 --> 01:13:12.300
We remember them.

01:13:12.300 --> 01:13:22.300
You don't remember them.

01:13:22.300 --> 01:13:36.300
Gloriously holy people because of a gloriously holy God.

01:13:36.300 --> 01:13:46.300
Exodus 24 says, and then Moses took Nadab, Abihu, and Aaron, and 70 others with him.

01:13:46.300 --> 01:13:49.300
And they went up the mountain.

01:13:49.300 --> 01:13:57.300
And when they got to the top of the mountain, they saw the God of Israel.

01:13:57.300 --> 01:14:05.300
He had something like sapphire, as blue as the sky under his feet.

01:14:05.300 --> 01:14:15.300
And the 70 with Moses, Abihu, Nadab, and Aaron ate and drank with God.

01:14:15.300 --> 01:14:18.300
Will you eat and drink with your God? Yeah?

01:14:18.300 --> 01:14:21.300
Will you eat and drink with your God? Yeah?

01:14:21.300 --> 01:14:23.300
We eat and drink with him.

01:14:23.300 --> 01:14:30.300
And as you do, remember the blood that he sprinkled, that Moses sprinkled on the people.

01:14:30.300 --> 01:14:34.300
Then remember the blood that has been sprinkled on you,

01:14:34.300 --> 01:14:38.300
giving you the same holiness that he has. Yeah?

01:14:38.300 --> 01:14:41.300
Eat and drink with him.

01:14:41.300 --> 01:14:44.300
A holy, forgiven, peculiar people.

01:14:44.300 --> 01:14:46.300
A holy nation.

01:14:46.300 --> 01:14:48.300
A kingdom of priests.

01:14:48.300 --> 01:14:50.300
Eat and drink with him.

01:15:04.300 --> 01:15:06.300
Amen.

01:15:34.300 --> 01:15:47.300
When you reduce it to just bread, it's so not what it was supposed to be, but we'll have to make do.

01:15:47.300 --> 01:16:04.300
Mike, it's really good to know you. I see you as the son of the living God.

01:16:04.300 --> 01:16:07.300
Thanks.

01:16:07.300 --> 01:16:12.300
Pawan, I love your faith, man, and your courage.

01:16:12.300 --> 01:16:15.300
Just admire that so much.

01:16:26.300 --> 01:16:29.300
If you need prayer, there'll be someone here to pray with you.

01:16:29.300 --> 01:16:34.300
And expect God who is present to meet your need.

01:16:34.300 --> 01:16:39.300
Otherwise, we learn how to eat and drink making noise. Yeah?

01:16:39.300 --> 01:16:42.300
This is way too somber eating and drinking.

01:16:42.300 --> 01:16:45.300
And we'll try to do it with real food.

01:16:45.300 --> 01:16:49.300
This is symbolic, but it must be in the midst of eating and drinking food.

01:16:49.300 --> 01:16:53.300
It becomes more fun then. And we'll practice that.

01:16:53.300 --> 01:17:00.300
Besides that, Monday, tomorrow, 6.45, Christ Life, I most likely won't be here next Sunday.

01:17:00.300 --> 01:17:05.300
I'm going to UK Bahrain in India. I'll be back on Tuesday.

01:17:05.300 --> 01:17:07.300
But I'll be here tomorrow, so I'll see you then.

01:17:07.300 --> 01:17:10.300
But if you need prayer, feel free to come up and someone will pray with you.

01:17:10.300 --> 01:17:13.300
Compliment Don on a really nice t-shirt that he's wearing.

01:17:13.300 --> 01:17:22.300
Say hi to Elle, Melissa, and Shirley. Yeah? Cheryl, sorry. My bad.

01:17:22.300 --> 01:17:24.300
Okay.
