00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:07.000
Hey guys, hey guys, hey guy chapter 2, hey guys, okay.

00:00:07.000 --> 00:00:15.000
Just kidding, it's not hey guy chapter 2, it's hey guys, okay.

00:00:15.000 --> 00:00:22.000
So this is part 2 of Faith, Anointing, Glory that we started yesterday.

00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:29.000
Yesterday we talked about faith and anointing, and so today we deal with the third part of the trifecta, which is glory.

00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:31.000
Yeah?

00:00:31.000 --> 00:00:41.000
Hey guy, could I have my Hebrew?

00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:48.000
It's amazing. Hey guy, can I have my Hebrew?

00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:56.000
I find it terribly funny, but if nobody else gets it, let me just chuckle inside for a second.

00:00:56.000 --> 00:01:01.000
I'm done, I'm done, I'm done.

00:01:01.000 --> 00:01:05.000
Thanks, thanks Brandon.

00:01:05.000 --> 00:01:10.000
Okay, so yesterday we talked about faith and anointing and today we do glory.

00:01:10.000 --> 00:01:14.000
See, faith and anointing have limits because they pertain to man.

00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:21.000
Faith and anointing have limits because they pertain to man, but there are no limitations to glory.

00:01:21.000 --> 00:01:28.000
Faith and anointing have limits because man is involved, my faith is involved, how far will I exert it?

00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:31.000
What is my capacity when it comes to anointing?

00:01:31.000 --> 00:01:34.000
How yielded I am? We talked about those six factors.

00:01:34.000 --> 00:01:37.000
But when it comes to glory, there are no limits.

00:01:37.000 --> 00:01:42.000
There is no limitation to glory, though faith and anointing have limits because they pertain to man.

00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:50.000
And so the anointing is like taking water in a glass and the size of the glass determines the amount of water in the glass.

00:01:50.000 --> 00:01:53.000
But glory is like an ocean poured out from heaven.

00:01:53.000 --> 00:02:03.000
These are just comparisons that will help us understand how superior glory is to everything else that is.

00:02:03.000 --> 00:02:06.000
How superior it is. And it was God's original plan.

00:02:06.000 --> 00:02:10.000
There was never a need for faith till Adam sinned.

00:02:10.000 --> 00:02:12.000
There was only obedience.

00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:14.000
Faith happened after Adam sinned.

00:02:14.000 --> 00:02:25.000
And now he had to exert faith to overcome his mind that had become a mind that couldn't think like God.

00:02:25.000 --> 00:02:27.000
Till then it was only obedience.

00:02:27.000 --> 00:02:33.000
So the point is that the anointing is like taking water in a glass and the size of the glass can vary.

00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:37.000
And according to the capacity of the glass, water can be poured into it.

00:02:37.000 --> 00:02:40.000
But glory is like an ocean poured out, poured down from heaven.

00:02:40.000 --> 00:02:44.000
Glory is like an ocean poured down from heaven.

00:02:44.000 --> 00:02:55.000
For instance, if anointing and faith heals sickness, the shekinah or the glory of God makes sickness illegal.

00:02:55.000 --> 00:03:03.000
We see that in Psalm 105, verse 37, where it says there was not a single person who was feeble amongst them.

00:03:04.000 --> 00:03:10.000
Meaning with the shekinah of God dwelling in the midst of a stiff-necked people,

00:03:10.000 --> 00:03:16.000
when they left Egypt and as they walked through the wilderness, there was not one that was sick among them.

00:03:16.000 --> 00:03:18.000
When they died, they died of plagues.

00:03:18.000 --> 00:03:25.000
When they died, they died because of limitations God had put on their lives because of disobedience.

00:03:25.000 --> 00:03:30.000
But here's the great thing that because the shekinah dwelt outside a people,

00:03:31.000 --> 00:03:36.000
because the glory of God was that which they encamped around.

00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:38.000
There was none that was sick among them.

00:03:38.000 --> 00:03:39.000
This is the difference.

00:03:39.000 --> 00:03:41.000
Faith and anointing can heal sickness.

00:03:41.000 --> 00:03:44.000
Glory can make sickness illegal.

00:03:44.000 --> 00:03:50.000
That is the ridiculous difference when God pours out his glory.

00:03:53.000 --> 00:03:56.000
Faith places a demand on the anointing.

00:03:56.000 --> 00:04:00.000
We talked about this yesterday that faith places a demand on the anointing,

00:04:00.000 --> 00:04:04.000
but one who walks in the anointing can open up the floodgates of glory.

00:04:04.000 --> 00:04:07.000
Faith places a demand on the anointing,

00:04:07.000 --> 00:04:12.000
but one who walks in the anointing can open the floodgates of glory.

00:04:12.000 --> 00:04:15.000
Why? Because here is a man or a woman who's yielded.

00:04:15.000 --> 00:04:19.000
Here is a man or a woman who's pressing into character.

00:04:19.000 --> 00:04:25.000
Here is a man or a woman who is foolish and therefore risks things for God.

00:04:25.000 --> 00:04:31.000
Here is a man or a woman who walks in order and therefore has a framework to operate within.

00:04:31.000 --> 00:04:35.000
Here is a man or a woman who has capacity.

00:04:35.000 --> 00:04:40.000
And so the point being, faith can place a demand on the anointing,

00:04:40.000 --> 00:04:44.000
but the anointing is what opens the floodgates of glory.

00:04:44.000 --> 00:04:49.000
A church that is anointed is one step away from opening the floodgates of glory

00:04:49.000 --> 00:04:54.000
so that God can pour from heaven what he wants to, to saturate the earth.

00:04:54.000 --> 00:05:00.000
Most churches, however, get so enamored with the anointing that they peddle the anointing.

00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:08.000
And it's only a matter of time where anointing that is peddled will distort or will corrupt.

00:05:11.000 --> 00:05:14.000
You should never make money out of your anointing.

00:05:15.000 --> 00:05:21.000
I remember, many of you haven't heard this story,

00:05:21.000 --> 00:05:26.000
but I remember going to Indonesia the first time with Elmer and Anne,

00:05:26.000 --> 00:05:34.000
and we met a man in a small group who was a businessman who was going bankrupt.

00:05:34.000 --> 00:05:39.000
And he asked if we would come to Jakarta to pray for his business.

00:05:39.000 --> 00:05:41.000
And my immediate response was no,

00:05:41.000 --> 00:05:47.000
because it's very common in Indonesia to have holy men pray for your business.

00:05:47.000 --> 00:05:48.000
So I said no.

00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:52.000
And so we went back and I was talking to Anne and Elmer and felt God saying, no, you should go.

00:05:52.000 --> 00:05:55.000
So I said, okay, I'll come.

00:05:55.000 --> 00:06:00.000
And so he flew me to Jakarta, treated me really well, put me up in really good hotels.

00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:06.000
And the only thing God said to me as I was going to Jakarta was two things.

00:06:06.000 --> 00:06:08.000
One, say exactly what I ask you to tell him.

00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:14.000
And two, he'll offer you an envelope full of money when you're done.

00:06:14.000 --> 00:06:15.000
Do not receive it.

00:06:15.000 --> 00:06:22.000
And so for the sake of this teaching, that's exactly what happened.

00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:24.000
I won't go into the details of what happened next.

00:06:24.000 --> 00:06:28.000
But at the end of the day, after having said everything to him and he was delivered, he was set free,

00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:33.000
he was a new man in gratitude, not to buy me, but in gratitude,

00:06:33.000 --> 00:06:39.000
he pulled out an envelope, thick envelope full of US dollars, $100 bills, and he gave it to me.

00:06:39.000 --> 00:06:46.000
And I remember giving him a hug and saying thank you, but no thank you and walking out of there.

00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:49.000
You cannot peddle your anointing.

00:06:49.000 --> 00:06:53.000
Whenever you peddle your anointing, that's when it becomes a form of divination,

00:06:53.000 --> 00:07:00.000
especially when it is a prophetic anointing.

00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:02.000
Anointing is critical.

00:07:02.000 --> 00:07:03.000
We said this yesterday.

00:07:03.000 --> 00:07:06.000
Anointing is critical for the role you function in,

00:07:06.000 --> 00:07:10.000
but glory is critical for the move of God through you.

00:07:10.000 --> 00:07:13.000
Anointing is critical for the role you function in,

00:07:13.000 --> 00:07:19.000
but glory is what is critical for the move of God that we are presently in.

00:07:19.000 --> 00:07:25.000
Our anointing is not sufficient to carry this globally.

00:07:25.000 --> 00:07:33.000
But the glory of God, my God, that, the glory of God is so accustomed to washing over the world.

00:07:33.000 --> 00:07:38.000
It's been doing it from the beginning of time.

00:07:38.000 --> 00:07:42.000
And that is why I feel that we need to talk about faith, we need to talk about anointing,

00:07:42.000 --> 00:07:44.000
we need to talk about glory.

00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:51.000
All three, like I said yesterday, are critical determinants of what we are involved in.

00:07:51.000 --> 00:07:53.000
They are progressive and they are cyclical.

00:07:53.000 --> 00:07:57.000
So it's not like we just go from faith to anointing to glory and that's it.

00:07:57.000 --> 00:07:58.000
No, it's cyclical.

00:07:58.000 --> 00:07:59.000
It's cyclical.

00:07:59.000 --> 00:08:00.000
It keeps happening.

00:08:00.000 --> 00:08:05.000
Again and again I exert faith so that I can expect things of God,

00:08:05.000 --> 00:08:08.000
so that my degree of expectancy is huge.

00:08:08.000 --> 00:08:15.000
After that, I begin to follow the six factors we spoke of yesterday

00:08:15.000 --> 00:08:19.000
so that God can anoint and send us out to preach the gospel to the poor,

00:08:19.000 --> 00:08:21.000
to heal the sick, to open blind eyes.

00:08:21.000 --> 00:08:25.000
Man, this morning I woke up and I literally was telling God that,

00:08:25.000 --> 00:08:29.000
Father, I feel I got wings.

00:08:29.000 --> 00:08:33.000
Because there was this readiness to the gospel shoes I was wearing today,

00:08:33.000 --> 00:08:38.000
like I rarely felt.

00:08:38.000 --> 00:08:41.000
And then comes this idea of glory where it is,

00:08:41.000 --> 00:08:45.000
hey, great that the anointing is critical for the role I want you to function in, Jacob,

00:08:45.000 --> 00:08:48.000
but there is also a move I want to bring on the earth and that,

00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.000
nobody's anointing can handle that.

00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:54.000
That needs a washing of the earth with the glory of God.

00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:56.000
We will define glory.

00:08:56.000 --> 00:08:59.000
So faith brings to life God's principle.

00:08:59.000 --> 00:09:02.000
Faith brings to life God's principle.

00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:10.000
So faith brings to life God's principle.

00:09:10.000 --> 00:09:17.000
Anointing brings to life God's power.

00:09:17.000 --> 00:09:27.000
And glory brings to life God's manifest, omnipotent,

00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:44.000
unlimited person and presence.

00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:47.000
And you can disregard anointing and glory.

00:09:47.000 --> 00:09:50.000
It's not that just because God is saying,

00:09:50.000 --> 00:09:53.000
hey, I want you to step into the anointing that is upon you, Jacob,

00:09:53.000 --> 00:09:58.000
or I want you to step into the glory that I'm sending you away, Acts 29.

00:09:58.000 --> 00:10:00.000
It doesn't mean that now we are forced to.

00:10:00.000 --> 00:10:02.000
We can disregard the anointing and the glory.

00:10:02.000 --> 00:10:05.000
And it doesn't mean that God will change his mind and lift it.

00:10:05.000 --> 00:10:08.000
He'll wait to see if he will respond to it.

00:10:08.000 --> 00:10:10.000
He doesn't necessarily change his mind.

00:10:10.000 --> 00:10:13.000
But God may change his method and he may alter your destiny.

00:10:13.000 --> 00:10:16.000
God may change his method and he may alter your destiny.

00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:20.000
When God sends his glory, it is to achieve a purpose on earth.

00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:25.000
And if Saul is not ready to walk in that anointing and in that glory,

00:10:25.000 --> 00:10:28.000
then God changes his method and he raises up a David.

00:10:28.000 --> 00:10:32.000
God changes your destiny because now the reason he put you on earth

00:10:32.000 --> 00:10:33.000
is not going to work out.

00:10:33.000 --> 00:10:34.000
So he changes your destiny.

00:10:34.000 --> 00:10:35.000
He reshapes it.

00:10:35.000 --> 00:10:38.000
He puts it back on the potter's wheel because he loves you.

00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:40.000
And he will not deprive you.

00:10:40.000 --> 00:10:41.000
He will not diss you.

00:10:41.000 --> 00:10:42.000
He will not damage you.

00:10:42.000 --> 00:10:45.000
But he will change and alter destiny.

00:10:47.000 --> 00:10:51.000
So don't be a holdout in these situations.

00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:55.000
Please don't sit on your high horse with your arms folded saying,

00:10:55.000 --> 00:10:56.000
yeah, yeah, we'll see.

00:10:56.000 --> 00:10:57.000
Let me think about this.

00:10:57.000 --> 00:10:58.000
I don't know about this.

00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:01.000
All that will happen is your destiny will change.

00:11:02.000 --> 00:11:03.000
Because God will change his method.

00:11:03.000 --> 00:11:05.000
He won't change what he's going to do.

00:11:05.000 --> 00:11:07.000
At 55, I don't want God to change his method,

00:11:07.000 --> 00:11:09.000
nor do I want him to change my destiny.

00:11:09.000 --> 00:11:10.000
I want to live it out, man.

00:11:13.000 --> 00:11:15.000
At 25, you think you can afford it.

00:11:15.000 --> 00:11:18.000
At 55, you have enough wisdom to know you can't afford it.

00:11:24.000 --> 00:11:26.000
So let's define glory.

00:11:27.000 --> 00:11:32.000
I literally saw someone sitting with their arms folded up with that look saying,

00:11:32.000 --> 00:11:33.000
convince me.

00:11:33.000 --> 00:11:35.000
I ain't here to convince you, man.

00:11:48.000 --> 00:11:49.000
Let's define glory.

00:11:50.000 --> 00:11:51.000
Glory is God's...

00:11:52.000 --> 00:11:54.000
There are different ways we can talk about it.

00:11:54.000 --> 00:11:56.000
Glory is God's fullness.

00:11:56.000 --> 00:12:01.000
It's all that he is, all that he has.

00:12:06.000 --> 00:12:08.000
It is his I am-ness.

00:12:11.000 --> 00:12:14.000
It is his weight.

00:12:15.000 --> 00:12:17.000
It is the weight and the splendor.

00:12:18.000 --> 00:12:19.000
It is the glory.

00:12:20.000 --> 00:12:21.000
It is the glory.

00:12:22.000 --> 00:12:23.000
It is the glory.

00:12:23.000 --> 00:12:24.000
It is the weight.

00:12:24.000 --> 00:12:26.000
It is the weight and the splendor

00:12:29.000 --> 00:12:31.000
of his majesty.

00:12:34.000 --> 00:12:39.000
We'll have to use words like this because none of us have seen his glory

00:12:39.000 --> 00:12:41.000
except for Jesus.

00:12:41.000 --> 00:12:45.000
And even what Peter and John saw on the Mount of Transfiguration

00:12:45.000 --> 00:12:51.000
really is a lesser version of what God is really like.

00:12:51.000 --> 00:12:57.000
Again, I was watching my favorite channel on some days,

00:12:57.000 --> 00:13:01.000
which is the NASA channel, and they were showing pictures of the sun.

00:13:02.000 --> 00:13:08.000
And there were these sun flares that were happening, and it was brilliant.

00:13:08.000 --> 00:13:10.000
It was so bright.

00:13:10.000 --> 00:13:12.000
And I'm looking at that and I'm thinking to myself,

00:13:12.000 --> 00:13:15.000
so if this is glorious, what is the glory of God like?

00:13:15.000 --> 00:13:18.000
Because the sun is only 109 times bigger than the earth,

00:13:18.000 --> 00:13:24.000
and God must be so much bigger, occupying a place beyond space.

00:13:24.000 --> 00:13:25.000
What is his glory like?

00:13:25.000 --> 00:13:29.000
What they saw on the Mount of Transfiguration ain't nothing, man.

00:13:32.000 --> 00:13:34.000
How do you describe something like that?

00:13:34.000 --> 00:13:37.000
But this is what God's plan was right from the beginning.

00:13:37.000 --> 00:13:40.000
Listen, I want you to know the fullness of glory.

00:13:40.000 --> 00:13:41.000
This is what is shocking for me.

00:13:41.000 --> 00:13:46.000
I've been trying to wrap my head around it for a while, and I'm not able to.

00:13:46.000 --> 00:13:51.000
That this glorious God, whose glory is brighter than the brightest sun,

00:13:51.000 --> 00:13:57.000
whose glory is exceeding, who fills the universe and then beyond,

00:13:57.000 --> 00:14:00.000
who cannot be contained, this God is saying to Jacob,

00:14:00.000 --> 00:14:07.000
this finite, 5'6", handsome individual, God is saying to this Jacob,

00:14:07.000 --> 00:14:11.000
listen, I want you to know the fullness of my glory.

00:14:11.000 --> 00:14:13.000
I want you to know the fullness of my glory.

00:14:13.000 --> 00:14:15.000
What kind of God is this, man?

00:14:15.000 --> 00:14:18.000
And he doesn't say these things to make me happy.

00:14:19.000 --> 00:14:22.000
He does these things so that I might actually believe him.

00:14:25.000 --> 00:14:30.000
And so he wants me to know what it is, to know the breadth and the height,

00:14:30.000 --> 00:14:33.000
the depth and the length of who he is, as Paul said.

00:14:33.000 --> 00:14:36.000
Paul in Ephesians 1, in the apostolic prayer,

00:14:36.000 --> 00:14:40.000
is actually praying that people may know his glory, his fullness.

00:14:40.000 --> 00:14:43.000
He talks about it in Colossians 2, 9 and 10 too,

00:14:43.000 --> 00:14:46.000
that the fullness of the Godhead bodily dwells in Jesus Christ,

00:14:46.000 --> 00:14:50.000
and he dwells in us and that we are supposed to know his fullness.

00:14:50.000 --> 00:14:55.000
Our time spent here on earth through circumstances, through hostility,

00:14:55.000 --> 00:14:59.000
through difficult times, is to continuously press into the glory of God,

00:14:59.000 --> 00:15:04.000
into the I am-ness of God, into the weight and the splendor of his majesty,

00:15:04.000 --> 00:15:07.000
into all that he is and all that he has.

00:15:07.000 --> 00:15:10.000
For the first time in the history of the earth,

00:15:10.000 --> 00:15:13.000
revealed through his son, presented to us saying,

00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:16.000
come take, come eat, come have.

00:15:19.000 --> 00:15:24.000
To limit glory to a two-hour service where some people keel over,

00:15:24.000 --> 00:15:31.000
is just like Jane was saying, bottling it.

00:15:31.000 --> 00:15:36.000
Though even though that's a manifestation of his glory.

00:15:41.000 --> 00:15:44.000
In John 17, 24, Jesus actually prays that.

00:15:44.000 --> 00:15:49.000
In John 17, 24, Jesus prays, he's praying that amazing prayer

00:15:49.000 --> 00:15:53.000
for those that will come after him, for his disciples, including you and I.

00:15:53.000 --> 00:15:56.000
And in that prayer he's praying, Oh God, can you,

00:15:56.000 --> 00:15:59.000
can you please, please, please, please, please,

00:15:59.000 --> 00:16:03.000
In that prayer he's praying, Oh God, can you get them to a place

00:16:03.000 --> 00:16:08.000
where they will see, they will know the glory that I had with you before.

00:16:11.000 --> 00:16:13.000
He actually says that.

00:16:13.000 --> 00:16:16.000
It was Jesus' prayer that we know his glory.

00:16:19.000 --> 00:16:22.000
If Jesus prayed that prayer, let's just look at it,

00:16:22.000 --> 00:16:24.000
John 17, verse 24.

00:16:24.000 --> 00:16:26.000
What I'm trying to convince you guys,

00:16:26.000 --> 00:16:32.000
is that we need to press into knowing the fullness of how I defined it.

00:16:32.000 --> 00:16:36.000
When I use the word glory, it is almost, in Christianity,

00:16:36.000 --> 00:16:40.000
glory is as often used as the word love is used in the world,

00:16:40.000 --> 00:16:43.000
where it's kind of lost its sense.

00:16:43.000 --> 00:16:46.000
And to begin with, it's a very difficult word to describe.

00:16:48.000 --> 00:16:52.000
So if you go to John 17, 24, for us this is critical at this state,

00:16:52.000 --> 00:16:55.000
because no global revival happens without the glory of God.

00:16:55.000 --> 00:16:57.000
Being poured out.

00:16:59.000 --> 00:17:02.000
And the strange thing is every time the glory of God has to be poured out,

00:17:02.000 --> 00:17:05.000
there has to be a vessel that it is poured out into.

00:17:05.000 --> 00:17:08.000
It can't be one individual, it has to be a people.

00:17:08.000 --> 00:17:11.000
We'll go and talk about that.

00:17:11.000 --> 00:17:14.000
But if you look at John 17, 24.

00:17:15.000 --> 00:17:17.000
John 17, 24.

00:17:19.000 --> 00:17:24.000
Father, I want those who have given me to be with me where I am,

00:17:24.000 --> 00:17:28.000
and to see my glory, the glory you've given me because you loved me

00:17:28.000 --> 00:17:30.000
before the creation of the world.

00:17:31.000 --> 00:17:34.000
Father, I want these whom you've given me to be with me where I am.

00:17:34.000 --> 00:17:38.000
They can see all the glory you gave me because you loved me even before the world began.

00:17:38.000 --> 00:17:42.000
There will be a time when we will know his splendor

00:17:42.000 --> 00:17:46.000
in a way that we've never known it before, and that time will not be on earth.

00:17:46.000 --> 00:17:49.000
But my God, I'm going to spend every ounce of my strength

00:17:49.000 --> 00:17:52.000
knowing it to the extent that I can know it, so that the earth benefits.

00:17:52.000 --> 00:17:55.000
Once I'm gone to heaven, the earth does not benefit.

00:18:02.000 --> 00:18:06.000
Here's the other thing, guys, and this is strange but important.

00:18:06.000 --> 00:18:11.000
God usually does not visit us with his glory beyond the revelation we have of it.

00:18:11.000 --> 00:18:21.000
God usually does not visit us with glory beyond the revelation we have of it.

00:18:35.000 --> 00:18:37.000
Because he's not an entertainer, he's not here to say,

00:18:37.000 --> 00:18:39.000
He's not here to say, Hey, want to see my glory?

00:18:39.000 --> 00:18:44.000
No. His thing is, listen, can you begin to learn who I am, how I am?

00:18:44.000 --> 00:18:49.000
If glory is about his I am-ness, if glory is about his weight and splendor,

00:18:49.000 --> 00:18:54.000
if glory is about his majesty, if glory is about all that I am and all that I have,

00:18:54.000 --> 00:18:57.000
if that is what Kabul or the weight of glory is,

00:18:57.000 --> 00:19:04.000
then the extent to which he visits with glory is often determined

00:19:04.000 --> 00:19:07.000
by the revelation that you have of it.

00:19:10.000 --> 00:19:17.000
This is why when God spoke from the heavens over Jesus,

00:19:17.000 --> 00:19:19.000
you find four different reactions.

00:19:19.000 --> 00:19:21.000
Jesus heard it and understood it.

00:19:21.000 --> 00:19:24.000
The disciples heard it and did not understand it.

00:19:24.000 --> 00:19:26.000
The crowd heard it and said angels were speaking.

00:19:26.000 --> 00:19:29.000
And then one part of the crowd said, This is thunder.

00:19:30.000 --> 00:19:33.000
Four different reactions to this is my beloved son.

00:19:34.000 --> 00:19:38.000
One heard it and understood it because he knew what his father was like

00:19:38.000 --> 00:19:40.000
and was able to walk in sonship.

00:19:40.000 --> 00:19:42.000
Some heard it and they did not understand it.

00:19:42.000 --> 00:19:44.000
They could not figure it out.

00:19:44.000 --> 00:19:47.000
The third group heard it and they thought it was angels.

00:19:47.000 --> 00:19:51.000
The fourth group heard it and they thought it was noise or thunder.

00:19:54.000 --> 00:20:00.000
Fortunately, in 1 John 2 verse 27, it says that the anointing is within you, Jacob,

00:20:00.000 --> 00:20:03.000
as in Jesus Christ the Anointed One and His Holy Spirit is within you.

00:20:03.000 --> 00:20:05.000
So you don't need to be taught.

00:20:05.000 --> 00:20:06.000
You can learn quickly.

00:20:06.000 --> 00:20:08.000
We can learn.

00:20:12.000 --> 00:20:16.000
The first place where glory is revealed is in the gospels

00:20:16.000 --> 00:20:20.000
because Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God.

00:20:20.000 --> 00:20:23.000
And the letters that Paul writes begin to now break open

00:20:23.000 --> 00:20:27.000
what we just see as a biography in the gospel is broken open

00:20:27.000 --> 00:20:32.000
so that we can put our hands in and actually eat of what has been presented.

00:20:32.000 --> 00:20:36.000
It is not possible to know the glory of God or define the glory of God

00:20:36.000 --> 00:20:40.000
or know whether it is the glory of God or is some other counterfeit

00:20:40.000 --> 00:20:43.000
if I am not fluent in the word.

00:20:48.000 --> 00:20:53.000
This is why counterfeit flourishes when it comes to things of glory and anointing.

00:20:53.000 --> 00:21:03.000
When you look at Exodus 33.19 and Hebrews 1.3, Exodus 33.19 and Hebrews 1.3, Exodus 33.19,

00:21:03.000 --> 00:21:07.000
it says, God said, I will make my goodness pass right in front of you.

00:21:07.000 --> 00:21:10.000
I will call out the name God right before you.

00:21:10.000 --> 00:21:12.000
That's from the message.

00:21:12.000 --> 00:21:15.000
And the word of God is in the gospel.

00:21:15.000 --> 00:21:17.000
So you don't need to be taught.

00:21:17.000 --> 00:21:19.000
You don't need to be taught.

00:21:19.000 --> 00:21:22.000
I will call out the name God right before you.

00:21:22.000 --> 00:21:24.000
That's from the message.

00:21:24.000 --> 00:21:25.000
Let me read from the NIV.

00:21:25.000 --> 00:21:28.000
And the Lord said, I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you

00:21:28.000 --> 00:21:30.000
and I will proclaim my name the Lord in your presence.

00:21:30.000 --> 00:21:33.000
I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy

00:21:33.000 --> 00:21:37.000
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.

00:21:37.000 --> 00:21:40.000
But he said, you cannot see my face for no one may see me and live.

00:21:40.000 --> 00:21:42.000
Now go to Hebrews 1.3.

00:21:42.000 --> 00:21:44.000
Hebrews 1.3.

00:21:49.000 --> 00:21:51.000
The sun is the radiance of God's glory,

00:21:51.000 --> 00:21:53.000
the exact representation of his being,

00:21:53.000 --> 00:21:56.000
sustaining all things by his powerful word.

00:21:56.000 --> 00:21:58.000
The sun is the radiance of God's glory,

00:21:58.000 --> 00:22:00.000
the exact representation of his being,

00:22:00.000 --> 00:22:03.000
sustaining all things by his powerful word.

00:22:03.000 --> 00:22:05.000
Here's the thing we need to know.

00:22:05.000 --> 00:22:08.000
If you and I need to get familiar with glory,

00:22:08.000 --> 00:22:11.000
as in familiar, as in push into glory,

00:22:11.000 --> 00:22:14.000
as in get to a place where we can live and move

00:22:14.000 --> 00:22:18.000
and have a being in the cloud of his glory.

00:22:18.000 --> 00:22:20.000
Because at the end of the day,

00:22:20.000 --> 00:22:22.000
if you want to get familiar with glory,

00:22:22.000 --> 00:22:31.000
you have to enter into the life of God.

00:22:31.000 --> 00:22:34.000
And there are three things you have to pursue

00:22:34.000 --> 00:22:37.000
if you want to live, move, and have your being

00:22:37.000 --> 00:22:39.000
in the cloud of his glory.

00:22:39.000 --> 00:22:43.000
And the three things that we can derive from Exodus 33.19

00:22:43.000 --> 00:22:46.000
and Hebrews 1.3

00:22:46.000 --> 00:22:49.000
are the goodness of God,

00:22:49.000 --> 00:22:52.000
which is the essence of his nature,

00:22:57.000 --> 00:23:00.000
the goodness of God, which is the essence of his nature,

00:23:02.000 --> 00:23:04.000
his presence,

00:23:07.000 --> 00:23:09.000
and his voice,

00:23:10.000 --> 00:23:13.000
and awareness of his presence,

00:23:14.000 --> 00:23:21.000
and response and alertness to his voice.

00:23:22.000 --> 00:23:25.000
These are pathways into the glory of God,

00:23:25.000 --> 00:23:27.000
into the I am-ness of God,

00:23:27.000 --> 00:23:29.000
into the weight and splendor of God,

00:23:29.000 --> 00:23:31.000
into all that he is and all that he has,

00:23:31.000 --> 00:23:33.000
into the kabod of God.

00:23:33.000 --> 00:23:36.000
These are, when you take these two scriptures

00:23:36.000 --> 00:23:39.000
where Moses asks to be shown the glory of God

00:23:39.000 --> 00:23:41.000
and the way God responds saying,

00:23:41.000 --> 00:23:43.000
Yeah, my presence will go with you.

00:23:43.000 --> 00:23:45.000
I'm going to proclaim my nature to you.

00:23:45.000 --> 00:23:47.000
I will show you my goodness.

00:23:48.000 --> 00:23:54.000
And Hebrews 1.3 where Jesus is the radiance of the glory of God.

00:23:54.000 --> 00:23:57.000
He is the exact representation of God's nature.

00:23:57.000 --> 00:24:01.000
And it is his voice that holds and sustains all things.

00:24:01.000 --> 00:24:05.000
These are three things that Acts 29 must.

00:24:05.000 --> 00:24:09.000
We do not have choices in matters nowadays.

00:24:10.000 --> 00:24:12.000
We do not have choices in matters,

00:24:12.000 --> 00:24:16.000
nor do we have the choice of the pace of how we grow nowadays.

00:24:17.000 --> 00:24:19.000
And thank God for that.

00:24:20.000 --> 00:24:23.000
These are three things that I must press into every day.

00:24:23.000 --> 00:24:26.000
I must be convinced more and more every day that,

00:24:26.000 --> 00:24:28.000
Listen, oh God,

00:24:28.000 --> 00:24:32.000
I'm able to see clearly your goodness despite my circumstances.

00:24:32.000 --> 00:24:37.000
I'm able to therefore speak clearly of your goodness without faith.

00:24:37.000 --> 00:24:40.000
Without faith, out of sheer knowing.

00:24:42.000 --> 00:24:46.000
The words that come out of my mouth are not statements of faith saying God is good.

00:24:46.000 --> 00:24:49.000
They are statements of facts saying God is good.

00:24:56.000 --> 00:25:01.000
Of all the things that God could show him when Moses asked to see a glimpse of his glory,

00:25:01.000 --> 00:25:04.000
goodness was what God came up with.

00:25:07.000 --> 00:25:12.000
The thing is, till I know his glory by pressing into these three things,

00:25:12.000 --> 00:25:14.000
I will never be able to convey it.

00:25:14.000 --> 00:25:18.000
I can convey teaching, I can convey a presentation of Jesus,

00:25:18.000 --> 00:25:19.000
I can convey things,

00:25:19.000 --> 00:25:22.000
but I'll never be able to convey glory in its purest form

00:25:22.000 --> 00:25:25.000
if this is not the purest form that I have arrived at.

00:25:25.000 --> 00:25:28.000
That in his essence, he is good.

00:25:28.000 --> 00:25:34.000
And that I'm more and more aware of his presence on a 24-7 basis.

00:25:34.000 --> 00:25:35.000
It doesn't matter what I'm doing.

00:25:35.000 --> 00:25:37.000
It doesn't matter what kind of intense work I'm involved in.

00:25:37.000 --> 00:25:39.000
It doesn't matter that I'm teaching and preaching right now.

00:25:39.000 --> 00:25:40.000
Aware of his presence.

00:25:40.000 --> 00:25:43.000
Aware of his presence, not in a tangible, where are you Jesus,

00:25:43.000 --> 00:25:48.000
but aware of his presence in an intangible, I know you are here, Jesus.

00:25:49.000 --> 00:25:51.000
Continuously aware.

00:25:51.000 --> 00:25:52.000
Continuously aware.

00:25:52.000 --> 00:25:56.000
And awareness of his presence only comes out of two things,

00:25:56.000 --> 00:25:58.000
reverence and love.

00:25:58.000 --> 00:26:01.000
Those are the two things that always bring an awareness of presence.

00:26:01.000 --> 00:26:04.000
Those are the two things that always bring an awareness of presence.

00:26:04.000 --> 00:26:07.000
You are aware of someone's presence because you have such awe of them

00:26:07.000 --> 00:26:10.000
that your eyes are continuously looking for where they are.

00:26:10.000 --> 00:26:16.000
It's like serving some great king or some great NBA star or some great whatever.

00:26:16.000 --> 00:26:18.000
And you're continuously aware.

00:26:20.000 --> 00:26:21.000
It's strange I didn't go to hockey.

00:26:21.000 --> 00:26:23.000
Canucks are doing really bad.

00:26:26.000 --> 00:26:27.000
It is to be so highly aware.

00:26:27.000 --> 00:26:30.000
And so awareness comes out of two places.

00:26:30.000 --> 00:26:33.000
One, you have such reverence and awe.

00:26:33.000 --> 00:26:36.000
And two, you have such love that you can't take your eyes off her.

00:26:37.000 --> 00:26:38.000
One or the other.

00:26:42.000 --> 00:26:44.000
And then the third one is his voice.

00:26:45.000 --> 00:26:47.000
His voice sustains everything.

00:26:48.000 --> 00:26:50.000
His voice sustains everything.

00:26:53.000 --> 00:26:57.000
It's strange though that in Genesis, as soon as Adam sinned

00:26:57.000 --> 00:27:01.000
and fell short of the glory of God as it says in Romans 3.23,

00:27:01.000 --> 00:27:03.000
he questions God's goodness.

00:27:03.000 --> 00:27:06.000
He hides from the sound of his voice.

00:27:06.000 --> 00:27:08.000
He's cut off from his daily presence.

00:27:13.000 --> 00:27:16.000
Those are the three things that immediately die in Eden.

00:27:18.000 --> 00:27:19.000
He questions God's goodness.

00:27:21.000 --> 00:27:26.000
And so the ploy to keep us from returning to Eden or regaining Eden,

00:27:26.000 --> 00:27:31.000
the ploy to keep us from returning to the original mandate of being carriers of his glory,

00:27:31.000 --> 00:27:32.000
is still the same.

00:27:33.000 --> 00:27:36.000
And I'm saying this to those that are listening to me right now

00:27:36.000 --> 00:27:38.000
and those that have listened to this years down the line,

00:27:38.000 --> 00:27:41.000
that the common ploy of the enemies is,

00:27:41.000 --> 00:27:43.000
can I have you question the goodness of God?

00:27:43.000 --> 00:27:46.000
Over and over again, I will question you about the goodness of God

00:27:46.000 --> 00:27:49.000
till I plant a seed of suspicion in your mind

00:27:49.000 --> 00:27:52.000
that in this area you cannot rely on God and he isn't good.

00:27:52.000 --> 00:27:54.000
And he is not true to his promise

00:27:54.000 --> 00:27:56.000
because I have questioned you for the last 20 days

00:27:56.000 --> 00:27:58.000
and you have not been able to answer me.

00:27:59.000 --> 00:28:03.000
I want to get to a place where the goodness of God is no longer a matter of faith for me.

00:28:05.000 --> 00:28:07.000
It is a matter of absolute truth.

00:28:12.000 --> 00:28:14.000
Gravity is not a question of faith for me.

00:28:14.000 --> 00:28:17.000
You step into these realms and I can guarantee you as a church,

00:28:17.000 --> 00:28:21.000
we will become receptacles of his glory, which is what God is looking for.

00:28:23.000 --> 00:28:27.000
And awareness of his presence that comes from awe, such reverence.

00:28:27.000 --> 00:28:29.000
Reverence then takes care of everything else.

00:28:29.000 --> 00:28:32.000
Reverence takes care of holiness, reverence takes care of awareness,

00:28:32.000 --> 00:28:36.000
reverence takes care of presence, takes care of everything.

00:28:36.000 --> 00:28:37.000
Love takes care of everything.

00:28:37.000 --> 00:28:39.000
Love takes care of everything.

00:28:39.000 --> 00:28:41.000
Love takes care of everything.

00:28:41.000 --> 00:28:43.000
Reverence takes care of presence, takes care of everything.

00:28:43.000 --> 00:28:45.000
Love takes care of holiness.

00:28:45.000 --> 00:28:53.000
A husband who is committed in love to his wife cannot even imagine infidelity.

00:28:54.000 --> 00:28:57.000
He doesn't entertain that thought because to think like that

00:28:57.000 --> 00:29:00.000
feels like he is harming his wife or betraying her.

00:29:06.000 --> 00:29:08.000
His voice.

00:29:09.000 --> 00:29:12.000
I am not talking about hearing God, guys.

00:29:15.000 --> 00:29:17.000
We hear God so that he can lead us.

00:29:18.000 --> 00:29:20.000
Nothing wrong with that.

00:29:20.000 --> 00:29:23.000
It's a critical part of Christian living.

00:29:23.000 --> 00:29:26.000
It's just stupid that we don't live that way.

00:29:27.000 --> 00:29:31.000
I am talking about his voice as in that which gives life,

00:29:31.000 --> 00:29:35.000
that which sustains, that which you find yourself in.

00:29:35.000 --> 00:29:37.000
It is not give me direction.

00:29:37.000 --> 00:29:41.000
It is what are you thinking? What are you saying?

00:29:41.000 --> 00:29:44.000
I just want to participate with you, O God.

00:29:44.000 --> 00:29:46.000
Everything you do is with your voice.

00:29:46.000 --> 00:29:47.000
Your word is your voice.

00:29:47.000 --> 00:29:49.000
Jesus is your voice.

00:29:49.000 --> 00:29:51.000
The Holy Spirit is your voice.

00:29:51.000 --> 00:29:53.000
Your voice, I see it in creation.

00:29:53.000 --> 00:29:55.000
It says so in Psalm 29.

00:29:55.000 --> 00:29:58.000
Creation speaks day and night.

00:29:58.000 --> 00:30:04.000
It speaks how to be engaged with God in terms of his voice that way.

00:30:05.000 --> 00:30:08.000
That the voice of the Lord splits the cedars.

00:30:08.000 --> 00:30:11.000
The voice of the Lord creates streams in the desert.

00:30:16.000 --> 00:30:17.000
I don't know.

00:30:17.000 --> 00:30:21.000
I think I have to help differentiate what I mean when I say

00:30:21.000 --> 00:30:22.000
it's not about hearing God.

00:30:22.000 --> 00:30:24.000
It is the voice of God.

00:30:31.000 --> 00:30:33.000
We'll talk about in the future.

00:30:33.000 --> 00:30:34.000
There is so much, man.

00:30:34.000 --> 00:30:36.000
There is so much God wants to tell us.

00:30:39.000 --> 00:30:43.000
It's this combination of Samuel on one hand who has a child.

00:30:45.000 --> 00:30:46.000
Here is the voice of God.

00:30:46.000 --> 00:30:51.000
And then it's also a combination of Isaiah who isn't even being addressed

00:30:51.000 --> 00:30:52.000
but says here I am.

00:30:52.000 --> 00:30:54.000
Send me because he knows God is speaking.

00:30:54.000 --> 00:30:57.000
And it's a combination of John on the island of Patmos

00:30:57.000 --> 00:31:02.000
when he hears a trumpet's play and he sees one whose face is

00:31:02.000 --> 00:31:05.000
as bright as the morning sun and his feet are burning brass.

00:31:05.000 --> 00:31:11.000
And he's about to reveal a story about himself, the testimony of Jesus Christ.

00:31:11.000 --> 00:31:12.000
And John happens to hear it.

00:31:12.000 --> 00:31:16.000
It's this combination where on one hand you're like a child who is alert

00:31:16.000 --> 00:31:19.000
and does not even fathom what is being said

00:31:19.000 --> 00:31:24.000
but knows that he needs to go and tell Eli, I think I heard someone calling

00:31:24.000 --> 00:31:27.000
to Isaiah who knows that he's not being addressed

00:31:27.000 --> 00:31:31.000
but hears a voice in the divine council and says, please, please, can I?

00:31:32.000 --> 00:31:37.000
To John who is just an exile on a remote island

00:31:37.000 --> 00:31:42.000
and who turns around because he knows someone has just walked down to the island.

00:31:43.000 --> 00:31:44.000
That is what I mean by voice.

00:31:44.000 --> 00:31:46.000
It is not just a hearing of God.

00:31:50.000 --> 00:31:54.000
The reason we don't experience his glory, and I said this many weeks ago,

00:31:54.000 --> 00:31:58.000
is because we try to accommodate his glory and his glory cannot be accommodated.

00:31:58.000 --> 00:31:59.000
He can only be surrendered to.

00:31:59.000 --> 00:32:01.000
We cannot accommodate his glory.

00:32:01.000 --> 00:32:04.000
I cannot accommodate his glory in a song,

00:32:04.000 --> 00:32:09.000
which is why it is impossible to deal with glory without being undignified.

00:32:10.000 --> 00:32:12.000
At least in the Old Testament, they didn't have a choice.

00:32:12.000 --> 00:32:17.000
When the glory of God would fall on someone or something, it would become undignified.

00:32:19.000 --> 00:32:21.000
Saul would strip himself naked.

00:32:21.000 --> 00:32:28.000
But now that does not happen because we are in control of our brand new spirits

00:32:30.000 --> 00:32:32.000
and God doesn't take over control.

00:32:32.000 --> 00:32:34.000
But it is impossible to accommodate glory.

00:32:34.000 --> 00:32:37.000
And the way we accommodate glory, or let's even forget glory,

00:32:37.000 --> 00:32:43.000
the way we accommodate anointing or glory is by deciding the limits to which

00:32:43.000 --> 00:32:47.000
we will choose to be undignified.

00:32:47.000 --> 00:32:49.000
It has to stay within a certain latitude.

00:32:49.000 --> 00:32:54.000
I want to never be able to accommodate God in Acts 29.

00:32:54.000 --> 00:32:55.000
Never.

00:32:59.000 --> 00:33:01.000
We can only surrender to it.

00:33:01.000 --> 00:33:07.000
And any surrender is ultimately going to make you look disheveled, undignified,

00:33:07.000 --> 00:33:09.000
absolutely beautiful.

00:33:09.000 --> 00:33:11.000
No questions, eh?

00:33:39.000 --> 00:33:41.000
Guys, the glory carries.

00:33:56.000 --> 00:34:04.000
The glory of God carries, creates, and is undignified.

00:34:05.000 --> 00:34:17.000
Carries, creates, judges, subdues, resurrects.

00:34:23.000 --> 00:34:29.000
The glory of God carries, as in once the glory of God enters any realm on the earth,

00:34:29.000 --> 00:34:34.000
any church, it has the ability to carry the church.

00:34:34.000 --> 00:34:39.000
It has the ability, the anointing then is great because you function in your role,

00:34:39.000 --> 00:34:45.000
but you are not able to do anything because it is the I Am Now who carries

00:34:45.000 --> 00:34:51.000
whatever he needs to carry, creates, judges, as in judges what is right and wrong,

00:34:51.000 --> 00:34:52.000
and deals with what is wrong.

00:34:52.000 --> 00:34:55.000
The glory of God deals with what is wrong, eh?

00:34:56.000 --> 00:34:59.000
Subdues, resurrects.

00:34:59.000 --> 00:35:06.000
Whenever the glory of God comes into a place, it is always accompanied by the voice of God.

00:35:06.000 --> 00:35:07.000
Never forget that.

00:35:07.000 --> 00:35:14.000
That the glory of God, whenever it comes anywhere, is always accompanied by the voice of God.

00:35:14.000 --> 00:35:15.000
It is never separated.

00:35:15.000 --> 00:35:18.000
It is always accompanied by the voice of God.

00:35:18.000 --> 00:35:22.000
You will hear the voice of God.

00:35:22.000 --> 00:35:24.000
It is almost like a litmus test.

00:35:28.000 --> 00:35:30.000
So what do you mean glory carries, creates, judges?

00:35:30.000 --> 00:35:35.000
Guys, sometimes our, even though we read the Bible,

00:35:35.000 --> 00:35:42.000
when I found this out I was just so blown away that I haven't even had time to explore it further,

00:35:42.000 --> 00:35:51.000
but sometimes when we read the Bible and we try to imagine the scene,

00:35:51.000 --> 00:35:54.000
especially the Gospels and the Book of Acts, you try to imagine the scene,

00:35:54.000 --> 00:36:01.000
and most of our imaginations are then drawn from the latest Jesus movie or the latest Acts movie.

00:36:01.000 --> 00:36:06.000
And in the process we sometimes don't realize the enormity of what has happened.

00:36:06.000 --> 00:36:16.000
So when you look at John 18, remember the scene where Jesus is in the garden of Gethsemane,

00:36:16.000 --> 00:36:24.000
and he has just gotten up from praying, and now the gods have come to arrest him.

00:36:24.000 --> 00:36:30.000
And they come looking for Jesus of Nazareth, and he says, I am.

00:36:33.000 --> 00:36:37.000
In most Bibles it's I am he, but the idea was that I am.

00:36:37.000 --> 00:36:40.000
What we don't realize is the number of people who are there.

00:36:40.000 --> 00:36:41.000
Let's go to John 18.

00:36:41.000 --> 00:36:48.000
John 18, talking about the glory, let me show you what the glory can do to the enemies of God.

00:36:48.000 --> 00:37:02.000
John 18, verse 6, and they said, again he asked him, verse 7, sorry, verse 4,

00:37:02.000 --> 00:37:07.000
Jesus knowing all that was going to happen to him went out and asked him, who is it that you want?

00:37:07.000 --> 00:37:14.000
When Jesus of Nazareth, they replied, I am he, Jesus said, and Judas the traitor was standing there with them.

00:37:14.000 --> 00:37:19.000
When Jesus said I am he, they drew back and fell to the ground.

00:37:19.000 --> 00:37:24.000
This idea of drew back and fell to the ground, depending on the denomination you're from, you'll put a spin on it.

00:37:24.000 --> 00:37:29.000
Some say only Judas fell to the ground. Some say, yeah, the guys who came with him fell to the ground.

00:37:29.000 --> 00:37:35.000
Go to verse 3. I know I'm spending a lot of time with this verse, but it's just to show you a point.

00:37:35.000 --> 00:37:41.000
So Judas came to the grove guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees.

00:37:41.000 --> 00:37:43.000
They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.

00:37:43.000 --> 00:37:48.000
The actual word used for soldiers that the detachment was a band or a cohort.

00:37:48.000 --> 00:37:52.000
You know how many soldiers were there that day? 600.

00:37:52.000 --> 00:37:55.000
600 soldiers come to arrest Christ.

00:37:55.000 --> 00:38:00.000
And they ask, are you Jesus of Nazareth? And he says, I am he.

00:38:00.000 --> 00:38:07.000
600 of them go back a step and then fall down on their backs.

00:38:07.000 --> 00:38:14.000
In most movies we see two or three staggering back.

00:38:14.000 --> 00:38:20.000
600 people or more, because they were not just soldiers, they were men with the soldiers.

00:38:20.000 --> 00:38:26.000
A cohort, which is 600 people, a legion is 6,000.

00:38:26.000 --> 00:38:33.000
So 600 of them, when they hear him say, I am, fall backwards.

00:38:33.000 --> 00:38:39.000
Just to give you an idea, God has the ability to take creation and use it to display his glory.

00:38:39.000 --> 00:38:43.000
What does he do? He says to Joshua, listen, I wanted you to do something.

00:38:43.000 --> 00:38:47.000
I know I've said everything in order. I know I have put things in orbit.

00:38:47.000 --> 00:38:51.000
But I want you to turn and say to the sun and the moon, stand still.

00:38:51.000 --> 00:38:56.000
God uses creation to display his glory, sometimes to subdue the enemy.

00:38:56.000 --> 00:39:06.000
I've heard real life stories of God using the elements of nature to completely turn a nation around or a people around.

00:39:06.000 --> 00:39:10.000
God uses that idea of glory to resurrect people.

00:39:10.000 --> 00:39:19.000
Peter goes resurrects Dorcas. Paul goes resurrects Eutychus.

00:39:19.000 --> 00:39:24.000
Or raise people. I won't use the word resurrect. Raise people from the dead.

00:39:24.000 --> 00:39:27.000
That is a glorious act, man.

00:39:27.000 --> 00:39:30.000
There's no anointing to raise the dead.

00:39:30.000 --> 00:39:34.000
But the glory of God can do it. Jesus did it multiple times. He did it with Jairus' daughter.

00:39:34.000 --> 00:39:42.000
He did it with the son of the widow of Nine. He did it with Lazarus.

00:39:42.000 --> 00:39:46.000
This is a display of who I am. That's the intent.

00:39:46.000 --> 00:39:51.000
Listen, you're coming to arrest me? If I want to, I can call on 12 legions of angels right now.

00:39:51.000 --> 00:39:54.000
But I won't. I will just tell you who I am.

00:39:54.000 --> 00:40:03.000
Am I Jesus of Nazareth? Yes, I am. And that was enough.

00:40:03.000 --> 00:40:06.000
This is what this church should become a receptacle for.

00:40:06.000 --> 00:40:12.000
So that God can do what he wants to do upon the earth just by his sheer I am-ness.

00:40:12.000 --> 00:40:15.000
But to get there, we have to become a certain kind of people.

00:40:15.000 --> 00:40:27.000
The next week, and if necessary, midweek, the intent is that, oh God, please, oh God, we need to become a receptacle for your glory.

00:40:27.000 --> 00:40:30.000
Joshua is still the son. Moses divided the Red Sea.

00:40:30.000 --> 00:40:36.000
Try doing it with the phraser. Go to Richmond, but don't take the bridge.

00:40:36.000 --> 00:40:42.000
It is the glory of God that paths a lake or a sea or an ocean.

00:40:42.000 --> 00:40:49.000
Elijah did it. Elijah did it. They did it with the Jordan.

00:40:49.000 --> 00:40:55.000
Elijah called down fire. Elijah stopped the rain.

00:40:55.000 --> 00:41:06.000
These are glorious acts of God. I want to hear before I die, where is the God of Elijah? And I say, here he is.

00:41:06.000 --> 00:41:12.000
I believe in power encounters. I believe that nations are taken through power encounters.

00:41:12.000 --> 00:41:17.000
I've seen them firsthand.

00:41:17.000 --> 00:41:25.000
Where national gods are dismantled in one power encounter and an entire nation begins to turn.

00:41:25.000 --> 00:41:32.000
But it is not enough that one man do it. God is so not into one man shows.

00:41:32.000 --> 00:41:51.000
One man shows anything built around one man, anything built around a brand will collapse because all it takes is for one man to commit a mistake.

00:41:51.000 --> 00:41:55.000
The king of glory is strong and mighty in battle.

00:41:55.000 --> 00:42:02.000
That's who we are talking about. That, oh God, come father, revisit again, revisit again.

00:42:02.000 --> 00:42:07.000
Do what you used to do. Not even in the Old Testament. Let's just start with the book of Acts, father.

00:42:07.000 --> 00:42:12.000
Do what you used to do in the book of Acts.

00:42:12.000 --> 00:42:17.000
But we must become a certain kind of people and we'll talk about that before we end.

00:42:17.000 --> 00:42:21.000
The king of glory, strong and mighty in battle, he cannot be resisted.

00:42:21.000 --> 00:42:24.000
He will not be satisfied to remain at a distance.

00:42:24.000 --> 00:42:30.000
Hey, Acts 29, here's the truth. Either we walk with him through this and get to where he's taking it.

00:42:30.000 --> 00:42:33.000
Otherwise, he will let us do church.

00:42:33.000 --> 00:42:36.000
I'm the pastor of this church. I'm telling you the truth.

00:42:36.000 --> 00:42:39.000
I'm scared of it. I'm excited about it.

00:42:39.000 --> 00:42:46.000
And I'd be really upset if he didn't get to where God wants us to go to.

00:42:46.000 --> 00:42:51.000
He will either, his thing before you is now, I've given you enough, Jacob.

00:42:51.000 --> 00:42:54.000
I've given you guys enough. I've taught you. I've taken care of you.

00:42:54.000 --> 00:42:57.000
I've nurtured you. I've sent you the best. I've brought you up.

00:42:57.000 --> 00:42:59.000
I've taught you. I've filled you to the brim.

00:42:59.000 --> 00:43:05.000
Now, give me the fruit that I want. Otherwise, I'll let you do church.

00:43:06.000 --> 00:43:10.000
Oh my God, my lungs scream saying, please, please, anything else but don't let us do church.

00:43:17.000 --> 00:43:20.000
So we must be shaped into a certain type of people. Why?

00:43:20.000 --> 00:43:26.000
Because if we are saying that faith, anointing and glory, and glory is what God needs to release for a global revival,

00:43:26.000 --> 00:43:30.000
then the people need to become a certain type of people so that they are receptacle.

00:43:31.000 --> 00:43:33.000
Carriers.

00:43:37.000 --> 00:43:44.000
The king of glory, Psalm 24, lift up your gates, lift up your ancient doors, let the king of glory come in.

00:43:44.000 --> 00:43:50.000
Who is this king of glory? I'm telling you, this king of glory is strong and mighty in battle.

00:43:50.000 --> 00:43:55.000
He cannot be resisted. He is not satisfied to remain at a distance.

00:43:55.000 --> 00:43:59.000
He will not compromise with us. There is no compromise with us in this.

00:43:59.000 --> 00:44:03.000
This is what I brought you to. This is where I'm going. Do you want to come?

00:44:03.000 --> 00:44:07.000
If you don't want to come, I'll let you do church. I'll make sure you all come to heaven.

00:44:16.000 --> 00:44:22.000
We've had many moments like this, guys. 2007 when Eddie came, it was the same choice we had.

00:44:22.000 --> 00:44:27.000
You want to do church or you want to step up? When Chad came first, it was the same.

00:44:27.000 --> 00:44:31.000
You want to continue doing what you're doing well or you want to change your way of operating?

00:44:39.000 --> 00:44:42.000
He cannot be resisted. He will not be satisfied to remain at a distance.

00:44:42.000 --> 00:44:46.000
He will not compromise with us. He will not negotiate with satanic forces.

00:44:46.000 --> 00:44:51.000
He will not negotiate with Pharaoh. He will not negotiate with any other person.

00:44:51.000 --> 00:44:54.000
He will not negotiate with any other power that exerts lordship over man.

00:44:54.000 --> 00:44:58.000
He ain't here to say, hey Pharaoh, so how about I leave 20 and you give me 60 or...

00:44:58.000 --> 00:45:08.000
There's no percentage here. I have come to make sure that you, Acts 29, have the ability to go and say to those that keep my people, let my people go.

00:45:08.000 --> 00:45:16.000
Because I am not negotiating with any Pharaoh. I'm not negotiating with any power that exerts or wants to share a hold upon mankind.

00:45:16.000 --> 00:45:19.000
I will not allow it. That is not why I have raised you.

00:45:19.000 --> 00:45:23.000
And if that means that I pour you out, so be it Jacob. Be poured out.

00:45:30.000 --> 00:45:37.000
That is when we get to speak Psalm 24 over and over again.

00:45:37.000 --> 00:45:40.000
So I'm saying to us, let us open the gates for this King of Glory.

00:45:40.000 --> 00:45:44.000
It will bring down heaven and it will bring down a whole host of angels too.

00:45:44.000 --> 00:45:56.000
Because glory is almost always mediated by angels throughout the Bible, in the New and the Old Testament.

00:45:56.000 --> 00:46:03.000
Which is not what we are getting excited about. We are getting excited about the glory.

00:46:03.000 --> 00:46:09.000
Getting excited about the angels would be like, not right.

00:46:09.000 --> 00:46:13.000
Not right.

00:46:13.000 --> 00:46:18.000
I was going to say something else but maybe I should just be good.

00:46:18.000 --> 00:46:23.000
So how do we open the gates? How do we open the gates? How do we open the gates?

00:46:23.000 --> 00:46:27.000
Psalm 24. So here are the ways we open the gates.

00:46:27.000 --> 00:46:35.000
First, if you look at Psalm 24, you will see that Psalm 24 first declares who God is in 1 and 2.

00:46:35.000 --> 00:46:41.000
That he owns everything guys. Then from 3 to 6 it tells you what you need to become.

00:46:41.000 --> 00:46:45.000
And from 7 to 10 it tells you who he is and then it concludes.

00:46:45.000 --> 00:46:52.000
So if we were to use Psalm 24, oh that's my, oh that's opposite.

00:46:52.000 --> 00:46:57.000
Sorry I was just looking at the screen. My left arm is right and my right arm is left on the screen.

00:46:57.000 --> 00:47:01.000
It's not important. Psalm 24, how do we open the gates?

00:47:01.000 --> 00:47:06.000
Psalm 24. First we enter into the presence of God. First we enter into the presence of God.

00:47:06.000 --> 00:47:14.000
First we enter into the presence of God.

00:47:14.000 --> 00:47:21.000
Not through worship. Not through worship.

00:47:21.000 --> 00:47:26.000
But not through worship.

00:47:26.000 --> 00:47:32.000
But by walking in a manner. But by walking in a manner consistent with his nature.

00:47:32.000 --> 00:47:44.000
But by walking in a manner consistent with his nature.

00:47:44.000 --> 00:47:48.000
This is what we will be spending the next week talking about.

00:47:48.000 --> 00:47:52.000
How do we walk in a manner consistent with his nature?

00:47:52.000 --> 00:47:58.000
What are the two or three things that we absolutely have to make a corporate concerted effort to become?

00:47:58.000 --> 00:48:04.000
If you look at Psalm 24 and I'm reading from the KJV because it kind of conveys what God is trying to say.

00:48:04.000 --> 00:48:11.000
Psalm 24 verses 3 to 6. I think verses 4 and 6. 4 and 5.

00:48:11.000 --> 00:48:17.000
Psalm 24 verses, who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord or who shall stand in his holy place?

00:48:17.000 --> 00:48:26.000
Verse 4. He that has clean hands, a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

00:48:26.000 --> 00:48:32.000
I want us to become such a truthful church. I want us to hate lies. I want us to hate deceit.

00:48:32.000 --> 00:48:37.000
I want us as a people. Me, absolutely.

00:48:37.000 --> 00:48:43.000
It is absolutely important that Jacob begins to have such a love for truth in the inward parts,

00:48:43.000 --> 00:48:47.000
truth from his mouth and truth of the word.

00:48:47.000 --> 00:48:55.000
And I want every one of us to be... one of the things glory does is that it makes a church physically and spiritually transparent.

00:48:55.000 --> 00:49:00.000
And we are not. Please don't for a second assume that. We are not. We are a great church.

00:49:00.000 --> 00:49:04.000
There's a degree of openness that you will not find in most churches.

00:49:04.000 --> 00:49:09.000
But we are talking about something else. A glory of God is becoming like him.

00:49:09.000 --> 00:49:16.000
I want these things in Psalm 24 verse 5 to become something that is common to the nature of this church.

00:49:16.000 --> 00:49:20.000
Why? Because then we become receptacles of his glory.

00:49:20.000 --> 00:49:26.000
Don, can you get me one of those golden urns?

00:49:26.000 --> 00:49:31.000
You break it, you buy it.

00:49:31.000 --> 00:49:38.000
Yeah. Become receptacles of his glory. If I break it, Don buys it.

00:49:38.000 --> 00:49:43.000
That's what I was trying to say. Receptacles of his glory. That's what I want us to become.

00:49:43.000 --> 00:49:50.000
Where God can fill it with pleasure, God can pour out with pleasure. Empty, God can break.

00:49:50.000 --> 00:49:55.000
Most jars that God actually has will never look like this.

00:49:55.000 --> 00:50:03.000
It is treasures in jars of clay, not jars that don't like this.

00:50:03.000 --> 00:50:14.000
So this is the wrong one. I was talking about the other one, Don. How come you got this one?

00:50:14.000 --> 00:50:19.000
I'm just kidding, Don. I was pointing at this one. After it came here, I realized it's the wrong one.

00:50:19.000 --> 00:50:28.000
Anyways, guys. The first thing we do is enter into the presence of God not through worship,

00:50:28.000 --> 00:50:31.000
but by walking in a manner consistent with his nature.

00:50:31.000 --> 00:50:35.000
We will start looking at Psalm 24, verse 3 to 6.

00:50:35.000 --> 00:50:41.000
What does it mean to have clean hands? What does it mean to not have your soul lifted up unto vanity?

00:50:41.000 --> 00:50:47.000
What does it mean to have a pure heart? What does it mean to live a life that is empty of deceit?

00:50:47.000 --> 00:50:49.000
Ah!

00:50:55.000 --> 00:51:12.000
Once we do this, then what happens is the King of Glory enters into the presence of a people

00:51:12.000 --> 00:51:22.000
who seek his face and walk in his ways.

00:51:29.000 --> 00:51:31.000
That's what happens next.

00:51:33.000 --> 00:51:36.000
That's what is happening in verse 7 to 10.

00:51:36.000 --> 00:51:46.000
First the people ascend the hill of the Lord, and then the Lord comes and says,

00:51:46.000 --> 00:51:49.000
Alright, now you can open the gates because I want to enter into your presence.

00:51:49.000 --> 00:51:58.000
Guys, here's the thing. The plan from the beginning was that Adam and Eve would reflect the glory of this King.

00:51:58.000 --> 00:52:02.000
The plan from the beginning was that Adam and Eve would reflect the glory of this King.

00:52:02.000 --> 00:52:05.000
This is not something new. This is not something unattainable.

00:52:05.000 --> 00:52:10.000
It has always been plan A. There's never a plan B with Jesus.

00:52:10.000 --> 00:52:15.000
It has always been the plan that, listen, from the beginning it was that Adam and Eve would reflect the glory of this King

00:52:15.000 --> 00:52:20.000
and that they would fill the earth with it. Through their children they would fill the earth with it.

00:52:20.000 --> 00:52:29.000
They were set up in a garden sanctuary to be a resplendent royal image of the glorious King.

00:52:29.000 --> 00:52:41.000
And it's the same with the Ark. In 1 Samuel 422, when the Philistines steal the Ark,

00:52:41.000 --> 00:52:47.000
what do the Israelites say? That the glory of God has departed.

00:52:47.000 --> 00:52:55.000
That's what the Israelites say. Because the Ark was supposed to be Israel's ultimate possession in the Ark.

00:52:55.000 --> 00:53:03.000
Or the Ark represented the glory of God. God's intent was, listen, I dwell amongst you as a people and my glory dwells amongst you.

00:53:03.000 --> 00:53:09.000
And this Ark is symbolic of it. It is the kind of glory that they treated with such reverence and awe,

00:53:09.000 --> 00:53:15.000
so much so that the Philistines stole it. And as this woman is giving birth, she names her son Ichabod,

00:53:15.000 --> 00:53:20.000
which means the glory of Israel has departed. God's intent from the beginning.

00:53:21.000 --> 00:53:26.000
The reason I'm saying this is you must see the absolute possibility of this.

00:53:26.000 --> 00:53:34.000
It is the plan of God. It is not something that we are ascending to attain. It is what he has brought down to us.

00:53:34.000 --> 00:53:49.000
This is not impossible. This is not difficult. But he needs us to become a certain kind of people.

00:53:49.000 --> 00:53:57.000
In 1 Samuel 15, 29, he calls himself the glory of Israel. God's intent has always been this.

00:53:57.000 --> 00:54:01.000
Please can I find a people amongst whom I can dwell and my glory be displayed?

00:54:01.000 --> 00:54:09.000
He calls himself the glory of Israel in 1 Samuel 15, 29. In Hebrews, Chapter 1, Verse 3, what did they say of Jesus?

00:54:09.000 --> 00:54:16.000
I read that verse out. Listen, I am the accurate representation of the God of glory.

00:54:16.000 --> 00:54:23.000
And I am the radiant expression of his glory. And I sustain everything with my voice.

00:54:23.000 --> 00:54:28.000
Jesus was the personification of the glory of God.

00:54:28.000 --> 00:54:31.000
Then you look at the church. What does Paul say about the church?

00:54:31.000 --> 00:54:39.000
That listen, you are a people Christ in you the hope of. Glory, Colossians 1, 27.

00:54:39.000 --> 00:54:43.000
At the end of the day, from the beginning of time, God has been looking for one thing only.

00:54:43.000 --> 00:54:47.000
And has he found it? He is looking for the carriers of glory.

00:54:47.000 --> 00:54:52.000
And the strange thing is he has been finding it over the last 2000 years.

00:54:52.000 --> 00:55:15.000
He is looking for a certain kind of people that will not own, distort, monetize, monopolize or attempt to his I am-ness.

00:55:15.000 --> 00:55:20.000
Which is why Psalm 24, Verses 3 to 6 is critical in this.

00:55:20.000 --> 00:55:23.000
I say this week, if you know how to humble yourself, do that.

00:55:23.000 --> 00:55:27.000
If humbling yourself means fasting from things, do that.

00:55:27.000 --> 00:55:33.000
If humbling yourself means going and saying to someone that listen, I can treat you better.

00:55:33.000 --> 00:55:39.000
I have wronged you and I can do better. If it lowers you, do it.

00:55:39.000 --> 00:55:48.000
Because there is a process of lowering that is necessary for things that hold on to your present body to no longer fit.

00:55:48.000 --> 00:55:54.000
When something shrinks, it falls off. When you shrink, what is around you now falls off.

00:55:54.000 --> 00:56:00.000
Use this week to practice your own way of fasting.

00:56:00.000 --> 00:56:02.000
I am not here to tell you what kind of fasting.

00:56:02.000 --> 00:56:05.000
Why are we fasting? Are we fasting for something from God?

00:56:05.000 --> 00:56:10.000
Not really. We are fasting to become something for Him.

00:56:10.000 --> 00:56:15.000
Not because we want something from Him. It is to become something for Him.

00:56:15.000 --> 00:56:23.000
Now that I am in this receptive state, O God, having lowered myself, can you now do what only you can do?

00:56:23.000 --> 00:56:29.000
What is that song? Do only what you can do. Did we sing that today?

00:56:29.000 --> 00:56:32.000
Ah, that is why.

00:56:35.000 --> 00:56:40.000
If you heard that noise, it is just what Don does every week.

00:56:40.000 --> 00:56:44.000
Both.

00:56:44.000 --> 00:56:49.000
Both. Yeah.

00:56:49.000 --> 00:56:51.000
Carriers of His glory.

00:56:51.000 --> 00:56:54.000
You know what happens once we become carriers of His glory?

00:56:54.000 --> 00:56:59.000
Balaam will begin to declare.

00:56:59.000 --> 00:57:07.000
Balaam will begin to declare that the Lord their God is amongst them and I hear in them the shout of a king.

00:57:07.000 --> 00:57:15.000
Once the people begin to become receptacles of God's glory, Balaam will declare that the Lord their God is with them.

00:57:15.000 --> 00:57:17.000
Numbers 23, verse 21.

00:57:17.000 --> 00:57:29.000
The Lord their God is with them and the shout of a king and the shout of a king is in their midst.

00:57:29.000 --> 00:57:33.000
Numbers 23, verse 21.

00:57:33.000 --> 00:57:36.000
That is what Balaam begins to declare.

00:57:36.000 --> 00:57:45.000
This is when power encounters become less frequent because there is no comparison to what now our people can do.

00:57:45.000 --> 00:57:51.000
Belak hires Balaam but it is of no avail because Belak has to go home.

00:57:51.000 --> 00:57:58.000
Numbers 23, verse 21.

00:57:58.000 --> 00:58:05.000
So finally the fourth stage is God's people begin to live under a canopy.

00:58:05.000 --> 00:58:16.000
God's people begin to live under a canopy of His glory.

00:58:16.000 --> 00:58:19.000
And they follow His glory wherever it may lead.

00:58:19.000 --> 00:58:29.000
They follow it, follow His glory wherever it leads.

00:58:29.000 --> 00:58:32.000
Where is that from Jacob? Isaiah 4.

00:58:32.000 --> 00:58:34.000
Let me just read it.

00:58:34.000 --> 00:58:37.000
Again, there too there is the need to become a certain kind of people.

00:58:37.000 --> 00:58:40.000
Isaiah 4, verses 1 to 6.

00:58:40.000 --> 00:58:45.000
Isaiah 4, verses 1 to 6.

00:58:45.000 --> 00:58:48.000
God's people begin to live under the canopy, follow His glory.

00:58:48.000 --> 00:58:53.000
Others begin to seek us to have their shame removed and they beg to be called by our name.

00:58:53.000 --> 00:58:58.000
I love that. Others begin to seek us to have their shame removed and they beg to be called by our name.

00:58:58.000 --> 00:59:01.000
Not by the name of Acts 29, but the name of the people of God.

00:59:01.000 --> 00:59:04.000
Isaiah chapter 4, verse 1 onwards.

00:59:04.000 --> 00:59:06.000
Reading from the NIV.

00:59:06.000 --> 00:59:13.000
In that day seven women will take hold of one man and say we will eat our own food and provide our own clothes.

00:59:13.000 --> 00:59:15.000
Only let us be called by your name.

00:59:15.000 --> 00:59:16.000
Take away our disgrace.

00:59:16.000 --> 00:59:23.000
In that day the branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the survivors of Israel.

00:59:23.000 --> 00:59:27.000
Those who are left in Zion who remain in Jerusalem will be called holy.

00:59:27.000 --> 00:59:29.000
All who are recorded among the living in Jerusalem.

00:59:29.000 --> 00:59:31.000
The Lord will wash away the filth of the women of Zion.

00:59:31.000 --> 00:59:36.000
He will cleanse the blood stains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of fire.

00:59:36.000 --> 00:59:37.000
Let it be so Father.

00:59:37.000 --> 00:59:38.000
May you judge and refine.

00:59:38.000 --> 00:59:45.000
May your fire fall so that, like I was saying yesterday, bring your winnowing folk so that all the chaff in my life is sacked.

00:59:45.000 --> 00:59:51.000
So that all the chaff in my life is separated, oh God, and burnt away so that what remains is good grain.

00:59:51.000 --> 00:59:55.000
Why?

00:59:55.000 --> 00:59:59.000
Even if it's a painful process, Father, there's huge reward, Father.

00:59:59.000 --> 01:00:00.000
Huge reward.

01:00:00.000 --> 01:00:05.000
This is what we were born for.

01:00:05.000 --> 01:00:12.000
Then the Lord will create over all of Mount Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow of flaming fire by night.

01:00:12.000 --> 01:00:14.000
Over everything, the glory will be a canopy.

01:00:14.000 --> 01:00:19.000
It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and the rain.

01:00:19.000 --> 01:00:27.000
Beautiful, eh?

01:00:27.000 --> 01:00:31.000
Let me conclude with a verse for Acts 29.

01:00:31.000 --> 01:00:34.000
The glory of God will affect Acts 29.

01:00:34.000 --> 01:00:36.000
The glory of God is going to affect Acts 29.

01:00:36.000 --> 01:00:41.000
It's going to transform us from a fighting church to a resting and ruling church of Revelation 227.

01:00:41.000 --> 01:00:45.000
Revelation 227, it talks about, let me read it.

01:00:45.000 --> 01:00:47.000
It's beautiful in the message.

01:00:47.000 --> 01:00:54.000
Revelation 227.

01:00:54.000 --> 01:00:57.000
It says, Here's the reward I have for you, Acts 29.

01:00:57.000 --> 01:01:01.000
Every conqueror, everyone who keeps it and refusing to give up, you'll rule the nations.

01:01:01.000 --> 01:01:04.000
Your shepherd king rule as firm as an iron staff.

01:01:04.000 --> 01:01:06.000
Their resistance fragile as clay pots.

01:01:06.000 --> 01:01:08.000
This was a gift my father gave me.

01:01:08.000 --> 01:01:10.000
I pass it along to you.

01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:12.000
Amen!

01:01:12.000 --> 01:01:19.000
Acts 29 will be affected by the glory of God.

01:01:19.000 --> 01:01:21.000
Put blinders on, eh?

01:01:21.000 --> 01:01:23.000
Penny sent me a word today.

01:01:23.000 --> 01:01:30.000
And I should just quickly read it out to you.

01:01:30.000 --> 01:01:32.000
Why do horses wear blinders?

01:01:32.000 --> 01:01:33.000
Why do horses wear blinders?

01:01:33.000 --> 01:01:39.000
Horses have peripheral vision, which means they can end up running off course unless they are made to remain focused.

01:01:39.000 --> 01:01:44.000
Covering part of their vision encourages the horse to take chances it would not normally take.

01:01:44.000 --> 01:01:48.000
It keeps their eyes focused on what is ahead rather than what is at the side or behind.

01:01:48.000 --> 01:01:53.000
It stops them from losing concentration on the direction they're supposed to be headed.

01:01:53.000 --> 01:02:00.000
It reduces the chance of the horse being spooked and making a run for it as they are easily spooked and automatically run from perceived danger.

01:02:00.000 --> 01:02:07.000
May the Lord put blinders on us so that we are single-minded in our focus and our pursuit of this one thing that God wants to do on the earth, eh?

01:02:07.000 --> 01:02:11.000
Other things will be taken care of in the midst of it.

01:02:11.000 --> 01:02:17.000
God is not a one-dimensional God.

01:02:17.000 --> 01:02:19.000
Glory will affect Acts 29.

01:02:19.000 --> 01:02:20.000
Hallelujah!

01:02:20.000 --> 01:02:23.000
This is when I wish I had the capacity to rar-ar you.

01:02:23.000 --> 01:02:25.000
Glory will affect Acts 29.

01:02:25.000 --> 01:02:28.000
And then I think to myself, thank God I don't have it.

01:02:28.000 --> 01:02:33.000
Glory will affect Acts 29, transforming us from a fighting church.

01:02:33.000 --> 01:02:34.000
We are a fighting church.

01:02:34.000 --> 01:02:39.000
We are a church that knows how to fight and prevail.

01:02:39.000 --> 01:02:44.000
Transform us from a fighting church to a Revelations 2.27, ruling and resting church.

01:02:44.000 --> 01:02:49.000
It will transform us from an earthly places church to a heavenly places church.

01:02:49.000 --> 01:02:51.000
These are not terms I'm throwing around.

01:02:51.000 --> 01:02:54.000
These are terms that are absolutely explainable, definable.

01:02:54.000 --> 01:02:58.000
That's already happening in the lives of people at Acts 29.

01:02:58.000 --> 01:03:01.000
One thing we are is relatively modest.

01:03:01.000 --> 01:03:04.000
Other than me, most people in this church are modest.

01:03:04.000 --> 01:03:12.000
And so you don't hear the exploits of the people in this church as much.

01:03:12.000 --> 01:03:18.000
We become a heavenly places church instead of an earthly places church, Ephesians 2.6.

01:03:18.000 --> 01:03:27.000
And we become an unusual, we become a church with an unusual spiritual and physical transparency.

01:03:27.000 --> 01:03:30.000
And that must happen. That must happen.

01:03:30.000 --> 01:03:35.000
That will happen as we go down the road of Psalm 24, verse 3 to 6.

01:03:35.000 --> 01:03:40.000
May it be the spirit of fire and the spirit of judgment from God.

01:03:40.000 --> 01:03:46.000
As in, let God judge, hey Jacob, this you may think is straight, but when I look at it, it's crooked.

01:03:46.000 --> 01:03:50.000
Hey Jacob, let me burn this out with fire.

01:03:50.000 --> 01:03:52.000
The thing is that I'll talk about this next week.

01:03:52.000 --> 01:04:00.000
Anytime God wants us to leave something, there's always a reward also that we leave with.

01:04:00.000 --> 01:04:13.000
So looking forward to us as a people becoming something together.

01:04:13.000 --> 01:04:21.000
As this happens, we'll see some strange, beautiful happenings amongst us.

01:04:21.000 --> 01:04:25.000
One, we'll see the revelation of the sons of God in our midst.

01:04:25.000 --> 01:04:34.000
What I mean by that is Romans 8, verse 19 says, creation longs for the manifestation of the sons of God.

01:04:34.000 --> 01:04:38.000
I know that scripture can be taken and spoken about in many, many different ways.

01:04:38.000 --> 01:04:40.000
Let me explain how I mean it.

01:04:40.000 --> 01:04:47.000
As we go down this road, you will see that sons and daughters of God in this church will begin to rise up

01:04:47.000 --> 01:04:54.000
and show how splendidly son of God-ish they are.

01:04:54.000 --> 01:04:56.000
Go ahead.

01:04:56.000 --> 01:04:58.000
There's a question.

01:04:58.000 --> 01:05:02.000
Can you repeat the word again from Jacob?

01:05:02.000 --> 01:05:07.000
Which word, Heidi?

01:05:08.000 --> 01:05:10.000
Pardon?

01:05:10.000 --> 01:05:12.000
Oh, Acts 29.

01:05:12.000 --> 01:05:22.000
Glory will affect Acts 29, transforming us from a fighting church to Revelation 227 from the Messaged Church,

01:05:22.000 --> 01:05:30.000
a ruling and resting church, from an earthly places church to a heavenly places church, Ephesians 2.6,

01:05:30.000 --> 01:05:43.000
from a holy church to an unusually spiritually and physically transparent church, Ephesians 5.27,

01:05:43.000 --> 01:05:51.000
from the Messaged, puts it this way, I want you, my bride, to be dazzling in silk and...

01:05:51.000 --> 01:05:53.000
Let me read it.

01:05:53.000 --> 01:05:57.000
It's that sense, Ephesians 5.27.

01:06:00.000 --> 01:06:05.000
Yeah.

01:06:05.000 --> 01:06:11.000
A bride who's dressed in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness.

01:06:11.000 --> 01:06:17.000
There's something about it that is spiritually and physically transparent.

01:06:17.000 --> 01:06:25.000
That is what then allows you to don that kind of costume or that kind of apparel.

01:06:25.000 --> 01:06:29.000
And as that happens, we will see, one, the revelation of the sons of God,

01:06:29.000 --> 01:06:35.000
as in you will see suddenly David's rise up, Joshua's rise up, you will see Deborah's rise up,

01:06:35.000 --> 01:06:40.000
you will see Miriam's rise up, you will see Paul's rise up, Peter's rise up,

01:06:40.000 --> 01:06:46.000
you will see John the Beloved rise up, you will see Martha rise up, Mary's rise up,

01:06:46.000 --> 01:06:55.000
you will see women and men who have in them suddenly all the purposes of God contained within the next two, three years,

01:06:55.000 --> 01:07:00.000
coming to such fulfillment that creation will long for them.

01:07:00.000 --> 01:07:07.000
It says in Romans 8.21 that creation is groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God.

01:07:07.000 --> 01:07:10.000
As in show me what your God looks like.

01:07:10.000 --> 01:07:12.000
Decay and bondage will break.

01:07:12.000 --> 01:07:14.000
Decay and bondage will be undone.

01:07:14.000 --> 01:07:16.000
Decay and bondage around us.

01:07:16.000 --> 01:07:19.000
I know those scriptures are talking about the end times,

01:07:19.000 --> 01:07:23.000
where God will reveal his sons and daughters in their absolute glory,

01:07:23.000 --> 01:07:25.000
because when he appears we will share his glory.

01:07:25.000 --> 01:07:27.000
I know it's talking about that.

01:07:27.000 --> 01:07:33.000
I also know it says that creation that is groaning in decay and bondage will be set free,

01:07:33.000 --> 01:07:34.000
seeing the freedom of the sons of God.

01:07:34.000 --> 01:07:36.000
I know it's talking about the end,

01:07:36.000 --> 01:07:41.000
but everything that is supposed to be consummated at the end must begin now.

01:07:41.000 --> 01:07:43.000
We progressively work towards the end.

01:07:43.000 --> 01:07:48.000
God is not some kind of a magician who's saying let it be rotten now and that hey presto,

01:07:48.000 --> 01:07:52.000
touch at the end of the ages and suddenly everything becomes new.

01:07:52.000 --> 01:07:54.000
No, that's not why we were put here.

01:07:54.000 --> 01:07:57.000
We were put here to display what is waiting at the end now.

01:07:57.000 --> 01:08:02.000
We are a people from the future who are occupying middle earth saying look at the glory of God now.

01:08:02.000 --> 01:08:06.000
I know you see dimly, but even in the dimness that you see it with,

01:08:06.000 --> 01:08:11.000
the glory of God is sufficiently bright for you to have a revelation of Christ like very few can have.

01:08:11.000 --> 01:08:15.000
And now for sons and daughters in this church to rise up and say hey,

01:08:15.000 --> 01:08:18.000
now look at me manifest in the glory of God.

01:08:18.000 --> 01:08:22.000
When I touch something decay and I know how to break bondage.

01:08:22.000 --> 01:08:23.000
That is what we are talking about.

01:08:23.000 --> 01:08:26.000
So that as it says in Isaiah 60 verse 12,

01:08:26.000 --> 01:08:31.000
even the least amongst you will be able to deal with a thousand.

01:08:31.000 --> 01:08:34.000
That's what it says in Isaiah 60 verse 12.

01:08:34.000 --> 01:08:37.000
That's what we're talking about guys.

01:08:37.000 --> 01:08:39.000
That's what we're talking about.

01:08:39.000 --> 01:08:46.000
When we talk about the becoming receptacles for the glory of God and the earth needs it.

01:08:46.000 --> 01:08:50.000
Otherwise it continues in decay and bondage.

01:09:08.000 --> 01:09:10.000
I don't know how to end.

01:09:16.000 --> 01:09:21.000
Father, I just want this.

01:09:21.000 --> 01:09:27.000
I want this for your sake.

01:09:27.000 --> 01:09:28.000
I want this for our sake.

01:09:28.000 --> 01:09:30.000
I want this for the sake of the world.
