1. Put off – your old selfthe old man– which belongs to your former manner of life – and is corrupt through deceitful desires 4:22; Col.3:9; Rom.6:6
  2. Put on – the new self –created after the likeness of God – in true righteousness and holiness – being renewed in knowledge – according to the image of Him who did create me3:10; Rom.13:14
  3. The New Self created in the likeness of Christ is who I truly, really am.
  4. Nothing has the power to change my new nature created after the likeness of God – but my mind has the power to affect my conduct or behavior.
  5. To live out the true you – you must renew the spirit of your mind
  6. The mind that you cultured in your former manner of life was debased, double-minded, ignorant, traditional, proud, deceitful, blind, callous, darkened and alienated (Rom.1:28; Eph.4:18-20; 2 Cor.4:4)
  7. The starting point of the renewing the mind – is I 2:16– that I have the mind of Christ. My thought life must support the reality of my new nature.
  8. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind by setting your mind on the things above 4:8; Col.3:1-3;– and disciplining your mind I Tim.4:7, I Pet.1:13
  9. Renew the spirit of your mind by putting on the mind of the Spirit.
  10. By the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body8:13– by using the sword of the Spirit Eph.6:17
  11. With the mind of Christ: Think like God > Be God like (in nature)  > Like knowing God (enjoy Him)
  12. Them you will begin to work out the good and pleasing and perfect will of God – in both thought and behavior – and Christ life will become your default
