WEBVTT NOTE Podcast: Acts 29 Vancouver Episode: The Spirit And The People of God – Part 4 Publishing Date: 2024-03-31T06:00:44-07:00 Podcast URL: https://acts29.ca Episode URL: https://acts29.ca/the-spirit-and-the-people-of-god-part-4/ 00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.000 Okay, let's go. 00:00:05.000 --> 00:00:15.000 Guys, as I was saying earlier, Jesus' death was not proof enough that the sins of the world had been taken away by a sinless man. 00:00:15.000 --> 00:00:23.000 Jesus' death was not proof enough that the sins of the world were taken away by a sinless man. 00:00:23.000 --> 00:00:29.000 Because if the sin bearer was sinless, then resurrection would prove it. 00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:45.000 His death did not prove that sins were taken away. 00:00:45.000 --> 00:00:53.000 If he was sinless, if the sin bearer was sinless, because that's the only way this would work. 00:00:53.000 --> 00:01:00.000 If the sin bearer was sinless, then resurrection would prove it. 00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:09.000 Resurrection would prove it. 00:01:09.000 --> 00:01:13.000 Resurrection would prove it. 00:01:13.000 --> 00:01:19.000 Because only a sinless man could rise from the dead after dying for the sins of others. 00:01:19.000 --> 00:01:27.000 Only a sinless man, only a sinless man could rise from the dead. 00:01:27.000 --> 00:01:32.000 Only a sinless man could rise from the dead. 00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:41.000 Only a sinless man could rise from the dead after dying for the sins of others. 00:01:41.000 --> 00:01:46.000 But today is the day he actually proves that I am sinless. 00:01:46.000 --> 00:01:49.000 I lived like you lived. 00:01:49.000 --> 00:01:52.000 I went through the same experiences that you went through. 00:01:52.000 --> 00:02:02.000 Yet, because I have lived a life that is sinless, I can now take on your sins and I will rise again. 00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:04.000 So resurrection proves that. 00:02:04.000 --> 00:02:13.000 But much before this, in John chapter 11, when Jesus was going from Jericho to Bethany, because Lazarus had died. 00:02:13.000 --> 00:02:16.000 Lazarus in John chapter 11 had died. 00:02:16.000 --> 00:02:21.000 And so Mary and Martha come running out to him and says, 00:02:21.000 --> 00:02:25.000 If only you had been here earlier, Lazarus would have been alive. 00:02:25.000 --> 00:02:29.000 And he looks at her and says, Mary, believe in me. 00:02:29.000 --> 00:02:31.000 Do you believe Lazarus will rise? 00:02:31.000 --> 00:02:36.000 And Martha's reply is, Yes, he will rise on the last day. 00:02:36.000 --> 00:02:39.000 That's what he says. Yes, he will rise on the last day. 00:02:39.000 --> 00:02:43.000 And Jesus' response is, I am the resurrection and the life. 00:02:43.000 --> 00:02:46.000 What he was trying to say was, here's what Martha is saying. 00:02:46.000 --> 00:02:52.000 Martha is saying, Yes, my brother will rise on the last day when the Messiah comes. 00:02:52.000 --> 00:02:55.000 And what is Jesus' reply? I am the resurrection. 00:02:55.000 --> 00:02:59.000 What's he trying to say? The last day is here. 00:02:59.000 --> 00:03:01.000 The last day is here. That's what he's saying really. 00:03:01.000 --> 00:03:04.000 When he's saying I am the resurrection, what he's saying is, 00:03:04.000 --> 00:03:10.000 Hey, I want to tell you that the last days are already here because I am here. 00:03:10.000 --> 00:03:13.000 And then he goes and raises Lazarus. 00:03:13.000 --> 00:03:16.000 What's the difference between resurrection and raising someone from the dead? 00:03:16.000 --> 00:03:19.000 Raising someone from the dead, they go back and die again. 00:03:19.000 --> 00:03:23.000 Resurrection, you do not die again. 00:03:23.000 --> 00:03:24.000 That's the difference. 00:03:24.000 --> 00:03:28.000 And yet, he who is the resurrection says to Martha, 00:03:28.000 --> 00:03:33.000 Listen, that last day you're waiting for, you don't need to wait for anymore because I'm already here. 00:03:33.000 --> 00:03:37.000 And if I'm here, then know that I can give new life to things. 00:03:37.000 --> 00:03:40.000 And he still does, eh? People rise from the dead. 00:03:40.000 --> 00:03:43.000 But resurrection is different from raising someone from the dead 00:03:43.000 --> 00:03:48.000 because those that are resurrected do not die again. 00:03:48.000 --> 00:03:51.000 So how does this all work? What really happens? 00:03:51.000 --> 00:03:55.000 Imagine that you were a stillborn. 00:03:55.000 --> 00:04:06.000 Imagine you were a stillborn and you were in a womb called wages of sin is death. 00:04:06.000 --> 00:04:09.000 That's the womb you are in. 00:04:09.000 --> 00:04:13.000 And the thing is because of sin, you are actually a stillborn. 00:04:13.000 --> 00:04:19.000 What Jesus' death does, what Jesus' death does is 00:04:19.000 --> 00:04:29.000 it breaks open this womb of death. 00:04:29.000 --> 00:04:40.000 But it is Jesus' life that gives life to the stillborn. 00:04:40.000 --> 00:04:44.000 Jesus' risen life gives life to the stillborn. 00:04:44.000 --> 00:04:47.000 This is important to understand, eh? 00:04:47.000 --> 00:04:51.000 Because we often think Jesus' death is what causes us to live. 00:04:51.000 --> 00:04:55.000 Not really. Jesus' death ends death. 00:04:55.000 --> 00:05:00.000 In Jesus' dying, the womb that you and I are conceived in, 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:02.000 which is the wages of sin is death. 00:05:02.000 --> 00:05:05.000 If you could name a womb, the wages of sin is death. 00:05:05.000 --> 00:05:10.000 And if you could imagine yourself as a baby in that womb, stillborn, 00:05:10.000 --> 00:05:14.000 there's just absolutely no hope for anyone born on the earth 00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:15.000 because we are born in sin. 00:05:15.000 --> 00:05:19.000 From the moment a child is born, a child knows how to do wrong. 00:05:19.000 --> 00:05:23.000 How come? How come you never have to teach a child to do wrong? 00:05:23.000 --> 00:05:28.000 And yet from the moment a child is born, the child already knows how to sin. 00:05:28.000 --> 00:05:32.000 All of us are born into this womb called the wages of sin is death. 00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:35.000 It's all mankind goes through this. 00:05:35.000 --> 00:05:40.000 In Jesus' death, what he does is he breaks that womb of death. 00:05:40.000 --> 00:05:43.000 No more can it hold you. 00:05:43.000 --> 00:05:45.000 But that ain't enough. 00:05:45.000 --> 00:05:47.000 And so he rises from the dead. 00:05:47.000 --> 00:05:50.000 In rising from the dead, he now gives you life. 00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:53.000 That stillborn comes to life. 00:05:53.000 --> 00:05:55.000 Matthew 27 talks about this. 00:05:55.000 --> 00:05:57.000 Go to Matthew 27, verse 52. 00:05:57.000 --> 00:06:01.000 Matthew 27, verse 52. 00:06:01.000 --> 00:06:05.000 Matthew 27, starting at verse 51. 00:06:05.000 --> 00:06:09.000 Matthew 27, starting at verse 51. 00:06:09.000 --> 00:06:11.000 Look at what it says there. 00:06:11.000 --> 00:06:13.000 At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn. 00:06:13.000 --> 00:06:14.000 At which moment? 00:06:14.000 --> 00:06:19.000 The moment Jesus says it is finished and he dies on the cross, 00:06:19.000 --> 00:06:23.000 the first thing that happens is a curtain in the temple tears, 00:06:23.000 --> 00:06:27.000 as in there is no longer a separation between God and people. 00:06:27.000 --> 00:06:29.000 People don't have to do rituals. 00:06:29.000 --> 00:06:35.000 People don't have to do any kind of song and dance to enter into the presence of God. 00:06:35.000 --> 00:06:39.000 The curtain that could not be crossed except by the high priest is torn 00:06:39.000 --> 00:06:44.000 and suddenly God is open access for mankind. 00:06:44.000 --> 00:06:45.000 And then look at what happens. 00:06:45.000 --> 00:06:49.000 At that moment, the curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 00:06:49.000 --> 00:06:51.000 The earth shook. 00:06:51.000 --> 00:06:54.000 The earth shook and the rocks split. 00:06:54.000 --> 00:07:01.000 The tombs broke open. 00:07:01.000 --> 00:07:11.000 And the bodies of many, it says holy people, what it means is, 00:07:11.000 --> 00:07:22.000 righteous by the law, holy people who had died were raised to life. 00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:23.000 But look at verse 53. 00:07:23.000 --> 00:07:24.000 It says something else. 00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:29.000 It says they came out of the tomb only after Jesus resurrected. 00:07:29.000 --> 00:07:32.000 They came out of the tomb only after Jesus resurrected. 00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:34.000 When he died, the tombs were broken open. 00:07:34.000 --> 00:07:35.000 It's like this. 00:07:35.000 --> 00:07:37.000 It's like this. 00:07:37.000 --> 00:07:42.000 When Jesus dies, the tomb of death is broken open. 00:07:42.000 --> 00:07:49.000 But it is not until he rises that the ones that were in the tomb actually begin to come out. 00:07:49.000 --> 00:07:53.000 This actually happened that day on a Sunday many thousands of years ago. 00:07:53.000 --> 00:08:00.000 When he died, the day he said it was finished, rocks and tombs broke open. 00:08:00.000 --> 00:08:07.000 But it's only a day and a half later that the ones who were in the tombs begin to come out. 00:08:07.000 --> 00:08:16.000 Early Sunday morning, Jesus rises and he rises and according to Leviticus 23, 00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:18.000 it is the time of the barley harvest. 00:08:18.000 --> 00:08:21.000 People were out tying up sheaves of barley. 00:08:21.000 --> 00:08:22.000 And guess what they see? 00:08:22.000 --> 00:08:27.000 They see grandfather and grandmother and uncle and aunt and father and mother 00:08:27.000 --> 00:08:30.000 walking towards the city of Jerusalem. 00:08:30.000 --> 00:08:33.000 Must have freaked them out, man. 00:08:33.000 --> 00:08:36.000 And they were recognizable. 00:08:36.000 --> 00:08:42.000 And they walked into the holy city, as in they walked into Jerusalem. 00:08:42.000 --> 00:08:47.000 The Sadducees must have freaked out because they believed there was no resurrection. 00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:52.000 And there is Uncle Tony coming in, in full form. 00:08:52.000 --> 00:08:54.000 What do they do now? 00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:57.000 Not Uncle Tony, Uncle Tony. 00:08:57.000 --> 00:08:59.000 Tony is nodding vigorously. 00:08:59.000 --> 00:09:03.000 No, Uncle Tony. 00:09:03.000 --> 00:09:07.000 So the earth shook, the rocks were split, the tombs were opened. 00:09:07.000 --> 00:09:12.000 Many bodies of the saints and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised. 00:09:12.000 --> 00:09:15.000 But they come out of the tombs after resurrection. 00:09:15.000 --> 00:09:20.000 The bodies of the saints did not arise until after Christ was risen. 00:09:20.000 --> 00:09:22.000 That's why we look at this picture. 00:09:22.000 --> 00:09:27.000 When Jesus dies, the tomb of death, wages of sin is death. 00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:28.000 That tomb is broken. 00:09:28.000 --> 00:09:32.000 But it is in his being raised that life is given. 00:09:32.000 --> 00:09:37.000 This was already spoken of in Isaiah 26, verse 19. 00:09:37.000 --> 00:09:41.000 If you go to Isaiah 26, 19, it had already been spoken of. 00:09:41.000 --> 00:09:45.000 So these are just prototypes of what was to happen. 00:09:45.000 --> 00:09:49.000 Isaiah 26, 19. 00:09:49.000 --> 00:09:51.000 It says, 00:09:51.000 --> 00:09:54.000 Your dead shall live, their bodies shall rise. 00:09:54.000 --> 00:09:57.000 You who dwell in the dust, awake and sing for joy. 00:09:57.000 --> 00:10:01.000 For your dew is the dew of light, and the earth will give birth to the dead. 00:10:01.000 --> 00:10:03.000 Go to John 5, 28. 00:10:03.000 --> 00:10:05.000 Jesus himself talks about this. 00:10:05.000 --> 00:10:07.000 John 5, 28. 00:10:07.000 --> 00:10:10.000 John 5, 28. 00:10:10.000 --> 00:10:11.000 He says this, eh? 00:10:11.000 --> 00:10:16.000 Do not marvel at this, for the hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice 00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:19.000 and come out, those who have done good to resurrection of life 00:10:19.000 --> 00:10:23.000 and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment. 00:10:23.000 --> 00:10:28.000 And so, some of these scriptures were already a taste of what was going to happen. 00:10:28.000 --> 00:10:31.000 And this actually happened. 00:10:31.000 --> 00:10:34.000 They went into the holy city, appeared to many. 00:10:34.000 --> 00:10:38.000 And so they rose in recognizable, resurrected bodies. 00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:43.000 And they appeared to people and they were recognized. 00:10:43.000 --> 00:10:45.000 Verse 53. 00:10:45.000 --> 00:10:48.000 They came out of the tombs and after Jesus' resurrection, 00:10:48.000 --> 00:10:51.000 they went into the holy city, appeared to many people. 00:10:51.000 --> 00:10:53.000 So that's the other thing. 00:10:53.000 --> 00:10:58.000 When resurrection life happens, don't think that you won't recognize me. 00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:00.000 You'll recognize me. 00:11:00.000 --> 00:11:02.000 Dylan and I will come running and say, Jacob! 00:11:02.000 --> 00:11:05.000 Yeah, and so will the rest of you. 00:11:05.000 --> 00:11:06.000 Pardon? 00:11:06.000 --> 00:11:09.000 No, this is the standard of perfection. 00:11:09.000 --> 00:11:14.000 So you'll come running to me and I'll recognize you. 00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:18.000 I'll actually recognize you and you'll recognize me. 00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:19.000 So we are stuck eh? 00:11:19.000 --> 00:11:21.000 We are stuck for like eternity. 00:11:21.000 --> 00:11:24.000 Can you imagine that? 00:11:24.000 --> 00:11:29.000 But you'll all be perfect and absolutely tolerable. 00:11:29.000 --> 00:11:33.000 So, I'm going to say, you'll all be perfect. 00:11:33.000 --> 00:11:34.000 You'll be tolerable. 00:11:34.000 --> 00:11:36.000 So, it'll all work out. 00:11:36.000 --> 00:11:42.000 So, while Jesus didn't show up publicly in Jerusalem, 00:11:42.000 --> 00:11:45.000 while Jesus didn't show up publicly in Jerusalem except to the disciples, 00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:57.000 and by the way, between him rising today from the dead and before he ascended, 00:11:57.000 --> 00:12:00.000 there are 40 days. 00:12:00.000 --> 00:12:06.000 During those 40 days, he appeared to more than 520 people. 00:12:06.000 --> 00:12:09.000 But he didn't go into the city of Jerusalem publicly. 00:12:09.000 --> 00:12:12.000 You can check that out in 1 Corinthians 15, 6. 00:12:12.000 --> 00:12:15.000 It talks about how Jesus appeared to the 12, 00:12:15.000 --> 00:12:18.000 appeared to some other apostles, appeared to 500 others. 00:12:18.000 --> 00:12:21.000 So it wasn't like this was happening in secret. 00:12:21.000 --> 00:12:27.000 There were more than 520 witnesses to Jesus having risen from the dead. 00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:34.000 But he didn't go into Jerusalem like these guys who rose from the dead went. 00:12:34.000 --> 00:12:39.000 The rest of the city actually woke up to the fact of resurrection that Sunday. 00:12:39.000 --> 00:12:41.000 Jerusalem must have been abuzz, man. 00:12:41.000 --> 00:12:43.000 Can you imagine it, guys? 00:12:43.000 --> 00:12:49.000 Think of someone that you know who died. 00:12:49.000 --> 00:12:52.000 And then they come into the city. 00:12:52.000 --> 00:12:57.000 Can you imagine Rosalyn walking in? 00:12:57.000 --> 00:13:01.000 And she'll be the same, she'll crack those same dry-wit jokes, 00:13:01.000 --> 00:13:05.000 and she'll walk in. 00:13:05.000 --> 00:13:07.000 And that was actually happening in the city. 00:13:07.000 --> 00:13:11.000 Can you imagine how abuzz the city was that morning? 00:13:11.000 --> 00:13:13.000 This is real stuff. 00:13:13.000 --> 00:13:15.000 This isn't something that we're waiting for. 00:13:15.000 --> 00:13:16.000 It's already happened once. 00:13:16.000 --> 00:13:19.000 So what happened to these guys who were resurrected? 00:13:19.000 --> 00:13:23.000 They likely stuck around for 40 days because they won't die again. 00:13:23.000 --> 00:13:28.000 And then they ascended when Christ ascended 40 days later because they wouldn't die again. 00:13:28.000 --> 00:13:30.000 This is not being raised from the dead. 00:13:30.000 --> 00:13:36.000 This is resurrection. 00:13:36.000 --> 00:13:40.000 So in a sense, though all of us talk about the rapture, 00:13:40.000 --> 00:13:44.000 whatever word you want to use in the future, 00:13:44.000 --> 00:13:52.000 know that this has happened in a very small sense. 00:13:52.000 --> 00:13:57.000 Our faith is so real. 00:13:57.000 --> 00:14:01.000 It isn't a myth. 00:14:01.000 --> 00:14:02.000 Crazy, eh? 00:14:02.000 --> 00:14:12.000 Any questions? 00:14:12.000 --> 00:14:17.000 The ones resurrected continued on earth until Jesus' ascension and then went with him to heaven. 00:14:17.000 --> 00:14:21.000 And it's already an example of victory over Satan, over death and grave. 00:14:21.000 --> 00:14:24.000 When we sing these songs, we sing them as of the future. 00:14:24.000 --> 00:14:27.000 Oh, one day we will have victory over the grave. 00:14:27.000 --> 00:14:31.000 Hey, death lost its sting on a few people that day. 00:14:31.000 --> 00:14:34.000 Couldn't hold them back. 00:14:34.000 --> 00:14:36.000 It's hardly spoken of, eh? 00:14:36.000 --> 00:14:39.000 But it's already defeated. 00:14:39.000 --> 00:14:41.000 Just like Jesus is the first fruit. 00:14:41.000 --> 00:14:45.000 There was an incident where this did happen. 00:14:45.000 --> 00:14:47.000 Do you realize what that means? 00:14:47.000 --> 00:14:49.000 That this thing called death that the world fears, 00:14:49.000 --> 00:14:53.000 that this thing called death that we sometimes think is a dark, foreboding thing, 00:14:53.000 --> 00:14:57.000 has been defeated by Christ, has been proven, graves have opened, 00:14:57.000 --> 00:15:01.000 people have come out, people have ascended. 00:15:01.000 --> 00:15:06.000 This is real. 00:15:06.000 --> 00:15:09.000 That's the faith you're being invited to. 00:15:09.000 --> 00:15:16.000 Not some story. 00:15:16.000 --> 00:15:20.000 Any questions? Fine, fine. 00:15:58.000 --> 00:16:04.000 Of course, it would be a little hard to preach like that now. 00:16:04.000 --> 00:16:09.000 Okay, so let's define resurrection life. 00:16:09.000 --> 00:16:12.000 Resurrection life. 00:16:12.000 --> 00:16:20.000 Any questions on what was spoken? No, eh? 00:16:20.000 --> 00:16:22.000 You mean the ones that... 00:16:22.000 --> 00:16:25.000 Yeah, the Bible gives us no account of them. 00:16:25.000 --> 00:16:31.000 So all we know is that till Christ ascended, they would not be able to ascend. 00:16:31.000 --> 00:16:34.000 And He was on the earth for 40 days. 00:16:34.000 --> 00:16:40.000 So some people had extra guests for 40 days. 00:16:40.000 --> 00:16:44.000 And then they ascended. 00:16:44.000 --> 00:16:49.000 Yeah. It's crazy. 00:16:49.000 --> 00:16:57.000 So we can only suppose that is what happens because we don't have any concrete evidence from scriptures to say otherwise. 00:16:57.000 --> 00:16:58.000 And then they ascended. 00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:04.000 Because in His ascension, Christ... 00:17:04.000 --> 00:17:08.000 Just a quick detour. 00:17:08.000 --> 00:17:14.000 The righteous went to Paradise, which was divided into two. 00:17:14.000 --> 00:17:18.000 One was called Hades. The other part was called Paradise. 00:17:18.000 --> 00:17:24.000 The righteous went here. 00:17:24.000 --> 00:17:27.000 The unrighteous went here. 00:17:27.000 --> 00:17:30.000 This is hard for those who are not watching this on screen to understand. 00:17:30.000 --> 00:17:38.000 And so this is why Jesus says to the thief on the right side, today you will be with me in Paradise. 00:17:38.000 --> 00:17:51.000 And when Christ ascends, all the righteous dead are relocated to what we now call Heaven. 00:17:51.000 --> 00:17:54.000 Yeah. 00:17:54.000 --> 00:18:08.000 So we'll talk about that another day. 00:18:08.000 --> 00:18:17.000 Yeah. So based on Romans 8-11 and based on Ephesians 1-18, it says... 00:18:17.000 --> 00:18:22.000 Remember guys, just think of this. 00:18:22.000 --> 00:18:41.000 The standard for the most amazing thing that God had ever done till Jesus died was parting a 20 to 26 kilometer stretch of water for 12 hours. 00:18:41.000 --> 00:18:47.000 That a man, a frail man who was 80 or 90 took a stick and held it up. 00:18:47.000 --> 00:18:56.000 And when he held it up, the Red Sea, which at its narrowest point of crossing was about 20 to 26 kilometers, actually parted. 00:18:56.000 --> 00:19:03.000 And was held that way and ground became dry and a million people crossed over. 00:19:03.000 --> 00:19:06.000 And it took about 12 hours according to Exodus 14. 00:19:06.000 --> 00:19:08.000 And that was the ultimate act. 00:19:08.000 --> 00:19:18.000 Everywhere throughout the world where God was spoken of, God was spoken of as the one who took a nation through the Red Sea. 00:19:18.000 --> 00:19:20.000 And that was humongous. 00:19:20.000 --> 00:19:23.000 And that was the work of the Spirit. 00:19:23.000 --> 00:19:32.000 And now we come to the New Testament and there is a man lying dead on a cold slab in a cold cave. 00:19:32.000 --> 00:19:44.000 The reason he is dead is because he has taken upon himself every sin of every human being since Adam to when the world will end. 00:19:44.000 --> 00:19:46.000 He is weighed down by it. 00:19:46.000 --> 00:19:49.000 There is absolutely no way he can get up. 00:19:49.000 --> 00:19:50.000 You know, you should try this. 00:19:50.000 --> 00:19:52.000 I tried this four or five years ago. 00:19:52.000 --> 00:20:01.000 When summer comes and you find a dead fly in your living room, take the dead fly, put it on your glass table and try to It's a very simple operation. There's just three scriptures involved. Genesis 1, verse 2. 01:03:34.000 --> 01:03:40.000 What does it say? And the Holy Spirit is always hovering over chaotic situations, wanting to bring life. 01:03:40.000 --> 01:03:44.000 That's the first scripture. This is permanent, guys. 01:03:44.000 --> 01:03:50.000 Some of the things that are mentioned in Genesis 1 to 11 will stand the test of time forever. 01:03:53.000 --> 01:03:58.000 Genesis 1, verse 2. The Spirit of God is hovering over that which is chaotic. What's he hovering there for? 01:03:58.000 --> 01:04:03.000 He wants to create something new. What is Jesus doing right now? I want to make all things new. 01:04:03.000 --> 01:04:09.000 What will we hear in Revelation 21? Behold, I have made all things new. The Holy Spirit is hovering over things. 01:04:09.000 --> 01:04:16.000 Come on, man. You have resurrection life in you. You have the private life of Jesus Christ unfiltered in you. 01:04:16.000 --> 01:04:23.000 This is why he left the earth and gave us the Spirit. Why? I have to leave you because if I don't leave you, I'll have to be everywhere. 01:04:23.000 --> 01:04:31.000 But if I go away, the Spirit of God will come. And the glory of the Lord shall cover the earth as the waters cover the seas. 01:04:31.000 --> 01:04:38.000 And where does that glory dwell? In us. And therefore, as we go to Costa Rica or to Colombia, the same thing begins to happen. 01:04:38.000 --> 01:04:44.000 Genesis 1, 2 is the first scripture. The next scripture is John 6, 63. And John 6, 63 says, 01:04:44.000 --> 01:04:54.000 The flesh profits nothing but the Spirit gives life. Refuse to walk in the flesh because this flesh is just a house at present 01:04:54.000 --> 01:05:00.000 for the private life of Christ unfiltered brought to you by the Spirit. 01:05:00.000 --> 01:05:07.000 This body just allows you to take his life to different places. And then even this body will be replaced. 01:05:07.000 --> 01:05:15.000 It just allows you to take and go to different places. And then the third scripture is Ezekiel 37, 4. 01:05:15.000 --> 01:05:20.000 What does Ezekiel 37, 4 say? And the Spirit of God said to me, 01:05:20.000 --> 01:05:28.000 Prophesy, son of man, prophesy on these bones in the valley. And as you prophesy, breath will enter and they'll come back to life. 01:05:28.000 --> 01:05:35.000 Isn't this what happened in Genesis 1, 2? The only difference is the one who spoke then was Jesus. And now it's his body. 01:05:35.000 --> 01:05:44.000 Jesus spoke in Genesis 1, 2. Now we speak. And as we speak, it begins to happen. 01:05:44.000 --> 01:05:53.000 Yeah, let's pray. Father, gosh, Lord, this life is something else. 01:05:53.000 --> 01:06:04.000 Please, oh God, help each one of us and anybody who's hearing, please to begin to begin to take hold of this life. 01:06:04.000 --> 01:06:15.000 The one thought that I want us to go with or leave with is just your life is not some kind of an injection into our present lives. 01:06:15.000 --> 01:06:25.000 It's my own life has drained away and I only have the private life that Christ presently possesses at the right hand of the Father. 01:06:25.000 --> 01:06:34.000 That's the only life I have. This body is old, but life is new. 01:06:34.000 --> 01:06:41.000 It's immeasurable in its capacity to understand, to grasp, to flow. And I pray that we wrestle with truth, not struggle with truth. 01:06:57.000 --> 01:07:02.000 We wrestle with truth. Move from struggle to wrestle saying, I am going to pin this down. 01:07:02.000 --> 01:07:15.000 Doesn't matter how long it takes. I will pin this down.
