No. Who are we talking about? An entity called the church? The wealth of the unrighteous will come to the righteous. 00:03:57.800 --> 00:04:00.300 No, no, we want the unrighteous. 00:04:00.300 --> 00:04:01.500 We're not looking for wealth. 00:04:01.500 --> 00:04:08.100 Isaiah 45 verse 1 to 3 says that Satan has bars of iron and gates 00:04:08.100 --> 00:04:13.800 that prevent people who are kept captive from coming out. 00:04:13.800 --> 00:04:18.000 That he uses all kinds of methods, condemnation, 00:04:18.000 --> 00:04:27.700 sin, sickness, demonic bondage, 00:04:27.700 --> 00:04:37.300 depression, hurt, pain, trauma. 00:04:37.300 --> 00:04:41.500 All these things and many more are used by Satan to keep people inside. 00:04:41.500 --> 00:04:46.000 And it is the mission of the church to go and plunder his possessions and set them free. 00:04:46.000 --> 00:04:47.300 That's one of the missions of the church. 00:04:47.300 --> 00:04:50.000 When did you actively think of that last week? 00:04:50.000 --> 00:04:56.800 And if you didn't think of it, and if I didn't think of it, why didn't we think of it? 00:04:56.800 --> 00:05:02.200 Because for some strange reason, the church has become so distorted in its own image 00:05:02.200 --> 00:05:06.200 that we just like looking at the mirror, we see a nice church and we go home. 00:05:06.200 --> 00:05:10.900 But Jesus said this thing that you do on Sunday, I'm getting weary of, I hold my nose at times. 00:05:10.900 --> 00:05:18.400 I like your worship, but then everything you do, Jacob, is for yourself, not for others. 00:05:18.400 --> 00:05:21.700 Guys, here's a question we need to ask and it's a very important question. 00:05:21.700 --> 00:05:24.800 Why are we raising a strong church? 00:05:51.800 --> 00:05:53.800 Why are you being raised as a strong church? 00:05:53.800 --> 00:05:55.000 For one reason only. 00:05:55.000 --> 00:06:01.000 That from Monday to Saturday, you can go and pour yourself out, spend yourself, 00:06:01.000 --> 00:06:04.500 so that when you come back here on Sunday or during the week, when you go for your house church, 00:06:04.500 --> 00:06:05.900 you get strong again. 00:06:05.900 --> 00:06:12.200 You have only one reason for being strong, so that you can be weak during the week, by pouring yourself out. 00:06:12.200 --> 00:06:15.100 Why should Matt and Rachel raise that boy? 00:07:10.100 --> 00:07:12.000 Imagine this scene. 00:07:12.000 --> 00:07:18.300 Peter and the 120 on the day of Pentecost, waiting for the Holy Spirit to fall. 00:07:18.300 --> 00:07:20.300 And suddenly the Holy Spirit comes upon them. 00:07:20.300 --> 00:07:22.600 And he's like flames of fire on their head. 00:07:22.600 --> 00:07:24.100 And Peter's getting really excited. 00:07:24.100 --> 00:07:25.400 Oh, the Holy Spirit's come. 00:07:25.400 --> 00:07:26.600 Oh, the glory of God is here. 00:07:26.600 --> 00:07:27.200 Holy Spirit's come. 00:07:27.200 --> 00:07:29.700 And they keep moving to see whether the flame will move. 00:07:29.700 --> 00:07:30.600 That's what we do in church. 00:07:30.600 --> 00:07:32.800 The Holy Spirit falls and people want to fall over. 00:07:32.800 --> 00:07:33.700 People want to shiver. 00:07:33.700 --> 00:07:36.900 People want to shake their finger and their neck. 00:07:36.900 --> 00:07:39.900 We are interested in the little things that happen when the Holy Spirit comes. 00:07:39.900 --> 00:07:40.900 What does Peter do? 00:07:40.900 --> 00:07:43.200 Peter instead stands up and begins to speak from the Word. 00:07:43.200 --> 00:07:44.200 And then what do they do? 00:07:44.200 --> 00:07:48.700 They go out. 00:07:48.700 --> 00:07:53.700 The saddest thing that has happened to the church is we think we quench the Holy Spirit by singing a wrong song 00:07:53.700 --> 00:07:57.500 or by getting up or sitting down during worship or when your baby starts to cry. 00:07:57.500 --> 00:08:00.300 Oh, the Holy Spirit was quenched because the baby started to cry. 00:08:00.400 --> 00:08:06.100 No, the Holy Spirit is quenched when the one reason he came down to the earth for is not being met. 00:08:06.100 --> 00:08:09.900 The Holy Spirit is being quenched on a regular basis across churches 00:08:09.900 --> 00:08:13.400 because the one reason he came down for, which was to fall upon people 00:08:13.400 --> 00:08:16.400 so that they may be strong to become martyrs, is not being met. 00:08:16.400 --> 00:08:21.100 And the Holy Spirit is being quenched day after day after day in churches across the world 00:08:21.100 --> 00:08:22.300 because we've forgotten our mission. 00:08:30.300 --> 00:08:34.300 You can't forget your mission this week or next week 00:08:34.300 --> 00:08:40.300 because I have every intent to remind myself and you that this is the reason the church exists. 00:08:47.300 --> 00:08:52.300 It is our mission to profess the Holy Spirit. 00:08:52.300 --> 00:08:54.300 We are not going to forget it. 00:08:54.300 --> 00:08:56.300 We are going to remember it. 00:08:57.300 --> 00:09:02.300 It is our mission to profess and demonstrate. 00:09:03.300 --> 00:09:08.300 It is our mission to profess and demonstrate the gospel. 00:09:08.300 --> 00:09:10.300 What is the gospel? 00:09:10.300 --> 00:09:12.300 The gospel is preaching material. 00:09:12.300 --> 00:09:14.300 What do you mean, preaching material? 00:09:14.300 --> 00:09:18.300 It is the story of Jesus' life, death and ascension. 00:09:18.300 --> 00:09:21.300 Life, death, resurrection and ascension. 00:09:21.300 --> 00:09:25.300 The story of Jesus is the gospel. 00:09:27.300 --> 00:09:32.300 It is your mission to demonstrate and profess the gospel. 00:09:32.300 --> 00:09:34.300 It is your mission. 00:09:35.300 --> 00:09:41.300 If Acts 29 fails at this, then it doesn't matter how apostolic it is, how prophetic it is, 00:09:41.300 --> 00:09:45.300 how people get healed, how miracles happen, how wonderful worship is, 00:09:45.300 --> 00:09:50.300 how we may or may not speak in tongues, how we may or may not plant churches in Czechoslovakia. 00:09:50.300 --> 00:09:58.300 It doesn't matter if Acts 29 fails to profess and demonstrate the gospel with words and with our behavior. 00:09:58.300 --> 00:10:00.300 Proclaim it. 00:10:00.300 --> 00:10:02.300 We fail in our mission. 00:10:02.300 --> 00:10:03.300 It quenches the Holy Spirit. 00:10:03.300 --> 00:10:07.300 We defeat Jesus' purpose of putting our people together. 00:10:07.300 --> 00:10:10.300 Thank God we don't have too many pastors. 00:10:10.300 --> 00:10:11.300 Just one. 00:10:11.300 --> 00:10:13.300 So we can't even say it's a pastor's job. 00:10:13.300 --> 00:10:14.300 Just one. 00:10:14.300 --> 00:10:17.300 Oh yeah, then there is Jeevan who thinks he's a pastor and Derek also. 00:10:17.300 --> 00:10:20.300 But besides them. 00:10:25.300 --> 00:10:28.300 The thing is, this is the job of the entire church. 00:10:28.300 --> 00:10:33.300 And there is absolutely no excuse not to do it anymore. 00:10:33.300 --> 00:10:38.300 It's going to be very, very difficult because it goes against the grain of everything that we are. 00:10:38.300 --> 00:10:44.300 But if we keep hammering on this message for the next seven months, perhaps something will change. 00:10:44.300 --> 00:10:47.300 I can't escape it now because I've been teaching it for a while. 00:10:47.300 --> 00:10:48.300 I can't escape it. 00:10:48.300 --> 00:10:50.300 Every time I meet somebody, I remember this. 00:10:50.300 --> 00:10:53.300 It's very inconvenient. 00:10:53.300 --> 00:10:56.300 Very inconvenient. 00:11:04.300 --> 00:11:05.300 What is our mission? 00:11:05.300 --> 00:11:08.300 Our mission is to make disciples. 00:11:10.300 --> 00:11:13.300 By training them. 00:11:15.300 --> 00:11:18.300 In households. 00:11:19.300 --> 00:11:22.300 That keep multiplying. 00:11:23.300 --> 00:11:26.300 As disciples increase. 00:11:26.300 --> 00:11:29.300 So here's the first one. 00:11:29.300 --> 00:11:32.300 Here's the second one. 00:11:32.300 --> 00:11:35.300 Here's the third one. 00:11:35.300 --> 00:11:38.300 These, this is the mission of the church. 00:11:38.300 --> 00:11:43.300 And if you want to prevail in prayer, it is important to know the mission of the church. 00:11:43.300 --> 00:11:50.300 Otherwise we spend most of our prayer praying for things that are important but are not primary. 00:11:56.300 --> 00:12:00.300 It's going to be very hard for me to finish messages nowadays. 00:12:00.300 --> 00:12:03.300 But that's okay. 00:12:03.300 --> 00:12:05.300 So let me go over this again. 00:12:05.300 --> 00:12:06.300 What is the mission of the church? 00:12:06.300 --> 00:12:11.300 If you want to prevail in prayer, if you want to become a strong church, which I strongly desire for us. 00:12:11.300 --> 00:12:16.300 Guys, the thing is I have absolutely no interest in having a strong church because I'm the pastor of the church. 00:12:16.300 --> 00:12:21.300 I don't get two hoots anymore for that kind of importance. 00:12:21.300 --> 00:12:26.300 But the reason I want to raise a strong church is we become strong for a reason. 00:12:26.300 --> 00:12:29.300 That we now go and expend everything we are. 00:12:29.300 --> 00:12:30.300 We pour it out. 00:12:30.300 --> 00:12:36.300 We lay our lives down for the sake of Christ, for the sake of his story and for the sake of others. 00:12:36.300 --> 00:12:39.300 And now we begin to fulfill the reason we were placed on earth. 00:12:43.300 --> 00:12:47.300 My prayer before I come and preach now is not that it be a great preaching. 00:12:47.300 --> 00:12:56.300 My prayer is, oh God, let everyone who hears what I have to say that comes from you have their minds enlightened and not dulled to this truth. 00:12:56.300 --> 00:12:59.300 Because this truth has been hidden for more than 2000 years. 00:12:59.300 --> 00:13:00.300 It is demonic. 00:13:01.300 --> 00:13:05.300 Do you understand that for 2000 years this truth has been hidden? 00:13:05.300 --> 00:13:09.300 Though Paul has been saying I made it plain, I made it plain, I made it plain. 00:13:09.300 --> 00:13:17.300 Why is it that churches meet again and again on Sunday after Sunday after Sunday and they call it church and nothing else happens? 00:13:19.300 --> 00:13:23.300 Because this is the truth that will set people free and it is demonically hidden. 00:13:24.300 --> 00:13:33.300 My prayer now when I come to praise, oh God, let Wayne, let Ryan, let Jacob, let Oak, let our minds be open, let our minds be enlightened to receive this truth. 00:13:33.300 --> 00:13:36.300 And once it is received, let something begin to happen. 00:13:36.300 --> 00:13:39.300 And if it takes six or seven months, so be it. 00:13:39.300 --> 00:13:40.300 But it must happen. 00:13:43.300 --> 00:13:46.300 Because otherwise we are quenching the Holy Spirit. 00:13:46.300 --> 00:13:56.300 And so the mission of the church is to enter Satan's house and plunder his possessions, taking people out of his clutches. 00:13:56.300 --> 00:14:05.300 The second mission is to profess and demonstrate the gospel because it is the only thing that can rescue and transform a person. 00:14:05.300 --> 00:14:09.300 There is nothing else on earth that can rescue a person or transform the person. 00:14:09.300 --> 00:14:10.300 Nothing. Nothing. 00:14:10.300 --> 00:14:16.300 It is highly inconvenient, but someone inconvenience themselves to save me and to save you. 00:14:16.300 --> 00:14:18.300 Someone inconvenience themselves. 00:14:22.300 --> 00:14:25.300 And the third thing is make disciples by training. 00:14:25.300 --> 00:14:28.300 It is not enough to get someone to be rescued and transformed. 00:14:28.300 --> 00:14:32.300 Now the person must be changed through showing them to be saved. 00:14:32.300 --> 00:14:34.300 And the third thing is to be able to do it. 00:14:34.300 --> 00:14:37.300 It is not enough to get someone to be rescued and transformed. 00:14:37.300 --> 00:14:42.300 Now the person must be changed through showing them what it is to live like Christ. 00:14:42.300 --> 00:14:43.300 And that is called discipling. 00:14:43.300 --> 00:14:50.300 And Jesus' last words in Matthew 28, 18 to 20 was, make disciples of all nations. 00:14:50.300 --> 00:14:53.300 And it was not given to few. 00:14:53.300 --> 00:14:59.300 It was given to Kamal and Anne, Elmer and Anne, Jibin and Abel with an E and an I. 00:15:00.300 --> 00:15:04.300 This was what was given to us. All of us. 00:15:06.300 --> 00:15:08.300 Raise your son Matt and Rachel. 00:15:08.300 --> 00:15:14.300 That he be a strong boy who will be willing to lay his life down for causes beyond him. 00:15:14.300 --> 00:15:16.300 Teach him when he is young. 00:15:16.300 --> 00:15:20.300 And he will have no problems embracing who Jesus Christ is and the message of Christ. 00:15:20.300 --> 00:15:24.300 You have such an advantage as parents to know these truths. 00:15:25.300 --> 00:15:37.300 Because everybody else sitting here, starting with me, have been raised in self-centered ovens that produce stuff that is so self-focused. 00:15:37.300 --> 00:15:43.300 And I am not wrong in saying that because otherwise we wouldn't be where we are at. 00:15:46.300 --> 00:15:53.300 If you go to Romans 15, verse 26 and 27, or Romans 16, verse 25 and 26, let me just check. 00:15:53.300 --> 00:16:02.300 You'll find that Jesus says, Paul is bringing this up and God is saying, hey, why is it that these things are hidden when I've made them manifest? 00:16:02.300 --> 00:16:11.300 Romans 16, verse, Romans 16, 25 and 26. 00:16:11.300 --> 00:16:13.300 Romans 16, 25 and 26. 00:16:13.300 --> 00:16:17.300 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel. 00:16:17.300 --> 00:16:21.300 I love it. Paul says my gospel. He doesn't even call it the gospel of Jesus. 00:16:21.300 --> 00:16:24.300 He calls it my gospel. Why? Because guys, remember one thing. 00:16:24.300 --> 00:16:28.300 The epistles came first, the gospels came later. 00:16:28.300 --> 00:16:33.300 When Paul was preaching, he didn't have a gospel that he could refer to. 00:16:33.300 --> 00:16:35.300 He couldn't say John, Mark, Luke. 00:16:35.300 --> 00:16:38.300 He wasn't even there when Jesus was teaching. 00:16:38.300 --> 00:16:42.300 He was a rebel who was against the people of Christ. 00:16:42.300 --> 00:16:47.300 And so where did Paul receive his gospel from? He received it directly from Christ. 00:16:47.300 --> 00:16:50.300 He calls it my gospel, the one I received from Christ. 00:16:50.300 --> 00:16:58.300 And he says that now unto him who is able to establish you by my gospel and this proclamation of Jesus Christ. 00:16:58.300 --> 00:17:00.300 He uses three words again and again. 00:17:00.300 --> 00:17:05.300 Proclamation of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of mystery hidden for long ages past. 00:17:05.300 --> 00:17:07.300 Meaning for all this time it's been hidden. 00:17:07.300 --> 00:17:13.300 Poor Paul, he must be sweating it out in heaven saying I preached this and it's gotten hidden again. 00:17:13.300 --> 00:17:16.300 When it is supposed to be proclaimed and revealed, it's hidden again. 00:17:16.300 --> 00:17:17.300 It's hidden again. 00:17:17.300 --> 00:17:19.300 And then he goes on to say in verse 26, 00:17:19.300 --> 00:17:23.300 But now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God 00:17:23.300 --> 00:17:28.300 so that all nations might believe and obey him to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ.
