about God beginning to move across the earth among teenagers, 20s and 00:01:45.000 --> 00:01:53.000 30s and even some 40s, drawing them back to him as the risen Christ who is not religious 00:01:53.000 --> 00:01:58.400 but is absolute Lord, drawing their hearts, their minds, their spirits to him, releasing 00:01:58.400 --> 00:02:04.500 upon earth such a wave of young people suddenly realizing that our shucks, Jesus Christ is 00:02:04.500 --> 00:02:09.800 Lord in nations that are Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, atheist, in Canada, in the US, 00:02:09.900 --> 00:02:16.900 all across, starting from this tiny group of people in Vernon and Bahrain and Vancouver, 00:02:16.900 --> 00:02:21.900 unlabeling this thing called Acts 29 so that it's not a certain church group that it's 00:02:21.900 --> 00:02:28.900 starting in but amongst the people who have faithfully dug the wells that their fathers 00:02:28.900 --> 00:02:35.700 had dug earlier and that the Philistines had stopped and God for whatever reason in his 00:02:35.800 --> 00:02:41.000 own sovereign will has decided that this is where I'm going to stop and it's going 00:02:41.000 --> 00:02:45.700 to go across fill, churches empty and then they birth again. 00:03:24.800 --> 00:03:27.500 Hear me, this is what God is up to. 00:03:27.500 --> 00:03:32.300 He is not doing something where churches will be filled to capacity with young people. 00:03:32.300 --> 00:03:38.600 He's doing something called I'll bring them in, I will load them up like clouds and they 00:03:38.600 --> 00:03:45.200 will be so sold out because they will recognize that the goodness of God is enough to take 00:03:45.200 --> 00:03:51.300 care of the things of life and they'll say send me for King and Kingdom and they'll be 00:03:51.300 00:07:38.800 --> 00:07:43.800 Now once the church is flipped around the world begins to see it too. 00:07:43.800 --> 00:07:48.800 Partly through the church and largely through God himself doing what he's doing eh? 00:07:48.800 --> 00:07:50.800 That's the beauty about revivals. 00:07:50.800 --> 00:07:56.800 They are God's sovereign move. 00:07:56.800 --> 00:08:02.800 And so in a sense the word and this is the word we'll be talking about today. 00:08:03.800 --> 00:08:14.800 In a sense the word presence, the word presence is when a community or when a seeking community 00:08:14.800 --> 00:08:16.800 as in a people that have been seeking God. 00:08:16.800 --> 00:08:23.800 When a seeking community, presence is when a seeking community is saturated. 00:08:24.800 --> 00:08:30.800 Presence is when a seeking community is saturated with a conscious awareness of God. 00:08:30.800 --> 00:08:42.800 With a conscious awareness, conscious awareness of his nearness and his greatness. 00:08:42.800 --> 00:08:49.800 You become very conscious of his greatness and his nearness and it saturates that community. 00:08:49.800 --> 00:09:00.800 That is when you know this thing called revival presence where it has so marinated you and you become so highly aware of it. 00:09:00.800 --> 00:09:02.800 And I believe it's happening eh? 00:09:02.800 --> 00:09:04.800 I really believe it's happening. 00:09:04.800 --> 00:09:11.800 I believe it's, some of my measures are just the stories I hear from people. 00:09:11.800 --> 00:09:14.800 I mean last night I had a six year old call me. 00:09:14.800 --> 00:09:25.800 A six year old call me and pray with me because he heard me say on Tuesday that hey we need to call each other and pray and the six year old calls me and begins to pray with me for what is happening. 00:09:25.800 --> 00:09:31.800 You don't know what it does to your heart man. 00:09:31.800 --> 00:09:37.800 And I shut up any day when that six year old prays. 00:09:37.800 --> 00:09:42.800 Because my God I could never match what his heart says. 00:09:42.800 --> 00:09:47.800 I see what's happening here with the music team. 00:09:47.800 --> 00:09:52.800 I dislike calling them the worship team because they're not. 00:09:52.800 --> 00:09:59.800 Jane is not a worship leader. 00:09:59.800 --> 00:10:02.800 I see it here with the guys here. 00:10:02.800 --> 00:10:04.800 I see it in your homes. 00:10:04.800 --> 00:10:06.800 I hear your stories. 00:10:06.800 --> 00:10:18.800 And I know that we are getting closer and closer to a place where we are a community that is saturated with a conscious awareness of both the greatness of God and the nearness of God like not before. 00:10:18.800 --> 00:10:21.800 It's not like we were far away from God eh? 00:10:21.800 --> 00:10:29.800 But I'm talking about something so different that it is almost like that was far away. 00:10:29.800 --> 00:10:38.800 So in a revival, presence just begins to set on fire things that God wants to do. 00:10:38.800 --> 00:10:47.800 And presence is when a community is saturated with an awareness of its greatness and his nearness. 00:10:47.800 --> 00:10:53.800 I know what's happening in my heart man in my life. 00:10:53.800 --> 00:11:00.800 This is when in a matter of five months you earn a lifetime of God. 00:11:00.800 --> 00:11:05.800 Not earn, in a matter of five months you get a lifetime of God. 00:11:05.800 --> 00:11:10.800 And it's not because you started seeking him particularly intensely. 00:11:10.800 --> 00:11:15.800 It's because he started coming after you with an intensity that you cannot avoid. 00:11:15.800 --> 00:11:18.800 It just bowls you over. 00:11:18.800 --> 00:11:20.800 I make presence the focus guys. 00:11:20.800 --> 00:11:21.800 Make presence the focus. 00:11:21.800 --> 00:11:25.800 If the manifestation is the focus, it becomes a measure. 00:11:25.800 --> 00:11:30.800 Make presence the focus. 00:11:30.800 --> 00:11:35.800 I mean on Monday I talked about how oh Holy Spirit we are open to whatever you want to do. 00:11:35.800 --> 00:11:39.800 I will not set up barriers of focus. 00:11:39.800 --> 00:11:42.800 I will not set up barriers of focus. 00:11:42.800 --> 00:11:49.800 I will not set up barriers of filters based on how ministries and people may have abused or been excessive in what they called was Holy Spirit. 00:11:49.800 --> 00:11:52.800 I refuse to set up barriers because when we ask for the Holy Spirit, 00:11:52.800 --> 00:11:57.800 we know enough now to know when it's a stone, egg or scorpion. 00:11:57.800 --> 00:12:00.800 Anyways, God is not that kind of God and we won't be deceived. 00:12:00.800 --> 00:12:02.800 So that's one side of the equation. 00:12:02.800 --> 00:12:07.800 The other side of the equation is that we are open to whatever you want to do. 00:12:07.800 --> 00:12:12.800 The other side of the equation is that presence will still be the focus. 00:12:12.800 --> 00:12:15.800 If manifestation becomes the focus, it becomes a measure. 00:12:15.800 --> 00:12:19.800 So then unless you experience a certain manifestation, 00:12:19.800 --> 00:12:22.800 you begin to think that the presence is not there. 00:12:22.800 --> 00:12:25.800 But when presence is the focus, it's very different. 00:12:25.800 --> 00:12:29.800 When presence is the focus, the manifestation is just an accompaniment. 00:12:29.800 --> 00:12:34.800 When presence is the focus, the manifestation is an accompaniment. 00:12:34.800 --> 00:12:40.800 I mean, when Yo-Yo Ma plays, people are not looking at all the other guys holding the triangle and banging them. 00:12:40.800 --> 00:12:42.800 They are accompaniments. 00:12:42.800 --> 00:12:45.800 When Sheldon plays, nobody is looking at... 00:12:45.800 --> 00:12:49.800 Well, let's forget Sheldon. 00:12:49.800 --> 00:12:51.800 You get what I mean. 00:12:51.800 --> 00:12:59.800 So when presence is the focus, manifestation is an 00:13:07.800 --> 00:13:09.800 I don't want to call them strange manifestations, 00:13:09.800 --> 00:13:19.800 but how many odd things have been happening in terms of manifestations in the church since Sunday. 00:13:19.800 --> 00:13:28.800 Things that I've been told, things that I've experienced that aren't going to be the focus. 00:13:28.800 --> 00:13:30.800 One day, one day. 00:13:30.800 --> 00:13:32.800 And this is just since Sunday. 00:13:32.800 --> 00:13:37.800 I'm thinking to myself, Father, will you be able to finish by next Monday? 00:13:37.800 --> 00:13:40.800 Well, that's his problem. 00:13:40.800 --> 00:13:43.800 And on Monday, we talked about baptism in the Spirit. 00:13:43.800 --> 00:13:45.800 What do you think baptism in the Spirit is? 00:13:45.800 --> 00:13:48.800 Baptism in the Spirit is immersion in His presence. 00:13:48.800 --> 00:13:52.800 Baptism in the Spirit is immersion in His presence. 00:13:52.800 --> 00:13:56.800 Baptism in the Spirit is immersion in His presence. 00:13:56.800 --> 00:13:58.800 Yesterday, Tuesday, we talked about boldness. 00:13:58.800 --> 00:14:00.800 What do you think boldness is? 00:14:00.800 --> 00:14:05.800 Anybody who is in His presence will say, I am not afraid. 00:14:05.800 --> 00:14:07.800 That's what boldness is. 00:14:07.800 --> 00:14:12.800 Anybody who is in His presence will say, I am not afraid. 00:14:17.800 --> 00:14:20.800 Today we'll start with Psalm 24. 00:14:21.800 --> 00:14:27.800 And we might be in Psalm 24 for the next couple of days. 00:14:27.800 --> 00:14:32.800 And Psalm 24 is actually a psalm about positioning yourself in His presence. 00:14:32.800 --> 00:14:41.800 Psalm 24 is actually a psalm about positioning yourself in His presence. 00:14:41.800 --> 00:14:49.800 It talks about who can ascend the hill of God, who can stand in His holy presence. 00:14:49.800 --> 00:14:57.800 It talks about open up the ancient doors and the ancient gates so that a king of glory may come in. 00:14:57.800 --> 00:15:00.800 But I just want to look at Psalm 24, verse 6 today. 00:15:00.800 --> 00:15:03.800 Psalm 24, verse 6. 00:15:03.800 --> 00:15:10.800 All we'll talk about is this marvelous thing called the presence of God during a time of revival. 00:15:10.800 --> 00:15:13.800 And then we'll pray. 00:15:13.800 --> 00:15:17.800 Psalm 24, verse 6. 00:15:17.800 --> 00:15:22.800 Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. 00:15:22.800 --> 00:15:27.800 Such is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. 00:15:27.800 --> 00:15:37.800 And the thing is the word face actually comes from a Hebrew word called panim. 00:15:37.800 --> 00:15:41.800 Panim is both face and presence. 00:15:41.800 --> 00:15:46.800 The same word is used for presence. 00:15:46.800 --> 00:15:49.800 We've talked about this in the past. 00:15:49.800 --> 00:15:55.800 Such is the generation of those who seek you, O God, those who seek your panim. 00:15:55.800 --> 00:15:59.800 As in those who seek your presence, those who seek your face. 00:15:59.800 --> 00:16:10.800 I just pray that today as we begin to pray we realize how to walk in this awareness 00:16:10.800 --> 00:16:13.800 of His nearness and His greatness. 00:16:13.800 --> 00:16:16.800 Not for two days, not for seven days, not for one year. 00:16:16.800 --> 00:16:18.800 For the rest of our lives, eh? 00:16:18.800 --> 00:16:28.800 Because once this thing starts, the radius of the ripple is huge, man. 00:16:28.800 --> 00:16:34.800 Unlike the Old Testament, guys, revivals begin in the New Covenant with presence. 00:16:34.800 --> 00:16:37.800 In the Old Testament, 2 Chronicles 7, 14, 00:16:37.800 --> 00:16:42.800 If my people humble themselves and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. 00:16:42.800 --> 00:16:44.800 That was how it used to work in the Old Covenant. 00:16:44.800 --> 00:16:50.800 And sometimes in trying to generate or initiate a revival, 00:16:50.800 --> 00:16:55.800 people in the New Covenant go back to 2 Chronicles 7, 14 00:16:55.800 --> 00:16:58.800 and try to work from 2 Chronicles 7, 14. 00:16:58.800 --> 00:17:01.800 And I'm saying to you that unlike the Old Testament, 00:17:01.800 --> 00:17:10.800 revivals begin with a sovereign move of God where His presence is there for us to take advantage of. 00:17:10.800 --> 00:17:17.800 And if we do, then it is an awareness of His greatness and nearness that causes me to humble my heart. 00:17:17.800 --> 00:17:22.800 It is an awareness of His greatness and His nearness that causes me to repent. 00:17:22.800 --> 00:17:29.800 It is an awareness of His greatness and His nearness that causes me to behold the beauty of His holiness. 00:17:29.800 --> 00:17:39.800 It's just the other way around, which is why it is so important to be keenly aware of it. 00:17:39.800 --> 00:17:44.800 It is the kindness and the goodness of God according to the New Testament that leads us to repentance. 00:17:44.800 --> 00:17:46.800 Start with His presence. 00:17:46.800 --> 00:17:52.800 And guys, if we get it, then when this begins to transfer to the world, it will be the same. 00:17:52.800 --> 00:17:57.800 They will see within the people of God, the greatness and the nearness of God. 00:17:57.800 --> 00:18:01.800 How will it look? We'll talk about that another day because I don't know. 00:18:04.800 --> 00:18:08.800 Guys, it is His presence that is going to deeply affect me. 00:18:08.800 --> 00:18:10.800 It is His presence that's going to touch my lips. 00:18:10.800 --> 00:18:13.800 It is His presence that will qualify me to ascend the hill. 00:18:13.800 --> 00:18:17.800 It is His presence that will qualify me to stand before Him. 00:18:17.800 --> 00:18:21.800 It is His presence that will cause me on one hand to say, 00:18:21.800 --> 00:18:23.800 Woe is me for I have seen the King of glory. 00:18:23.800 --> 00:18:26.800 On the other hand, it is His presence that will make me clean. 00:18:26.800 --> 00:18:30.800 So that I might say, Oh God, I heard your question. 00:18:30.800 --> 00:18:32.800 Here I am. Send me.
