00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:06.000
Guys, this is something we taught two years ago.

00:00:06.000 --> 00:00:09.000
Let me turn on my mic here.

00:00:09.000 --> 00:00:12.000
This is something we taught two years ago.

00:00:12.000 --> 00:00:19.000
And the reason I thought it was time to revisit it is because we've been talking about spiritual apathy,

00:00:19.000 --> 00:00:21.000
and this kind of ties it all up.

00:00:21.000 --> 00:00:26.000
And so this would be the final part of the series we've been doing.

00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:30.000
And then when I come back, we start on something so amazing and new,

00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:35.000
I shared it with a couple of people, that it'll blow your minds.

00:00:35.000 --> 00:00:38.000
Without any exaggeration, yeah.

00:00:38.000 --> 00:00:42.000
So we're going to talk about seeds.

00:00:42.000 --> 00:00:47.000
And if you want to turn to Galatians 6, 7 and 8, Galatians chapter 6, 7 and 8.

00:00:47.000 --> 00:00:54.000
There's a lot of turning involved today of the Bible, so just make sure you don't drop your iPhone.

00:00:54.000 --> 00:00:58.000
Galatians...

00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:00.000
That's odd, eh? That's how things are now.

00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:03.000
You turn your Bible so much that you might drop your iPhone.

00:01:03.000 --> 00:01:06.000
Galatians 6, verses 7 and 8.

00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:09.000
Galatians 6, verses 7 and 8.

00:01:09.000 --> 00:01:11.000
And here's what it says.

00:01:11.000 --> 00:01:17.000
Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

00:01:17.000 --> 00:01:23.000
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction.

00:01:23.000 --> 00:01:29.000
The one who sows to please the spirit, from that spirit will reap eternal life.

00:01:29.000 --> 00:01:32.000
So that's our basis for this teaching.

00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:37.000
So one of the things we need to understand is there are two destinations for seed.

00:01:37.000 --> 00:01:40.000
There are two destinations for seed.

00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:46.000
One is the flesh and the other is the spirit.

00:01:46.000 --> 00:01:50.000
So there are two destinations for seed.

00:01:50.000 --> 00:01:56.000
And it's best to recognize early in life, and may your children learn this soon,

00:01:56.000 --> 00:01:59.000
that all of us are carriers of seed.

00:01:59.000 --> 00:02:02.000
All of us are carriers of seed.

00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:08.000
And you are sowing unknowingly throughout the day from the moment you wake up,

00:02:08.000 --> 00:02:10.000
either to the spirit or to the flesh.

00:02:10.000 --> 00:02:11.000
Just imagine that, eh?

00:02:11.000 --> 00:02:17.000
The moment you wake up, you have started sowing.

00:02:17.000 --> 00:02:19.000
Because you are a carrier of seed.

00:02:19.000 --> 00:02:21.000
The moment you wake up, you are sowing.

00:02:21.000 --> 00:02:24.000
Sometimes we sow unknowingly, sometimes we sow knowingly.

00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:29.000
But the moment you wake up, you are either sowing to the spirit or sowing to the flesh.

00:02:29.000 --> 00:02:31.000
So what are we sowing?

00:02:31.000 --> 00:02:33.000
We are sowing seeds.

00:02:33.000 --> 00:02:36.000
So how can we sow seeds the moment we wake up?

00:02:36.000 --> 00:02:40.000
Some of the seeds we sow are our words, some of them are actions,

00:02:40.000 --> 00:02:45.000
some of them are attitudes, and some of them are thoughts.

00:02:46.000 --> 00:02:51.000
But the moment you wake up, this is how you begin.

00:02:51.000 --> 00:02:57.000
And you either sow words, actions, attitudes and thoughts into the flesh,

00:02:57.000 --> 00:03:02.000
or you sow it into the spirit.

00:03:02.000 --> 00:03:09.000
And the thing is, if you sow into the flesh, it brings destruction or ruin.

00:03:10.000 --> 00:03:17.000
And if you sow into the spirit, it brings life and abundance.

00:03:24.000 --> 00:03:28.000
I mean, Proverbs 23 verse 7, let's just look at that.

00:03:28.000 --> 00:03:31.000
Proverbs 23 verse 7.

00:03:31.000 --> 00:03:36.000
Proverbs 23 verse 7 says,

00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:42.000
For he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost.

00:03:42.000 --> 00:03:45.000
Eat and drink, he says to you, but his heart is not with you.

00:03:45.000 --> 00:03:47.000
I don't know why I chose that one.

00:03:47.000 --> 00:03:48.000
Proverbs 23, 7.

00:03:48.000 --> 00:03:50.000
I think I'm trying to find that verse.

00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:53.000
It says, as a man thinks so is he.

00:03:53.000 --> 00:03:55.000
It's not Proverbs 23, 7.

00:03:55.000 --> 00:03:56.000
It's something, it's another word.

00:03:56.000 --> 00:03:57.000
Sorry about that.

00:03:57.000 --> 00:03:59.000
But as a man thinks so is he.

00:03:59.000 --> 00:04:02.000
What I'm trying to say is, guys, from the moment I wake up,

00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:04.000
where are my words being sown?

00:04:04.000 --> 00:04:05.000
Are they being sown?

00:04:05.000 --> 00:04:08.000
So let me define flesh and spirit to you.

00:04:08.000 --> 00:04:12.000
Flesh is basically the traditions of men.

00:04:12.000 --> 00:04:15.000
Shoot.

00:04:15.000 --> 00:04:24.000
The traditions of men, sin, world, human ways.

00:04:24.000 --> 00:04:32.000
That's what we'll call the flesh.

00:04:32.000 --> 00:04:36.000
Sowing to the flesh is sowing into the traditions of men, sowing into sin,

00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:40.000
sowing into worldly ways or human ways, sowing into self.

00:04:40.000 --> 00:04:44.000
That would be sowing to the flesh.

00:04:44.000 --> 00:04:51.000
And it always results in destruction, ruin, corruption.

00:04:51.000 --> 00:04:56.000
And you're usually worse off than when you begin.

00:04:56.000 --> 00:05:00.000
Sowing to the spirit is sowing God principles.

00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:10.000
So sowing to the spirit is sowing God principles

00:05:10.000 --> 00:05:14.000
and sowing practical righteousness.

00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:16.000
I'll explain that.

00:05:16.000 --> 00:05:23.000
Practical righteousness.

00:05:23.000 --> 00:05:26.000
That's sowing to the spirit.

00:05:26.000 --> 00:05:36.000
And it always results in abundant life, a life of peace, rest, clarity, revelation.

00:05:36.000 --> 00:05:41.000
So every morning you and I wake up and we are carriers of seed.

00:05:41.000 --> 00:05:43.000
Our words are seed.

00:05:43.000 --> 00:05:45.000
The tongue is a spade.

00:05:45.000 --> 00:05:48.000
Our actions are seed.

00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:50.000
Our attitudes are seed.

00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:51.000
And our thoughts are seed.

00:05:51.000 --> 00:05:53.000
I remember saying this long ago.

00:05:53.000 --> 00:05:56.000
Sow a thought, reap an action.

00:05:56.000 --> 00:05:58.000
Sow an action, reap a habit.

00:05:58.000 --> 00:06:00.000
Sow a habit, reap a character.

00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:03.000
Sow a character, reap a destiny.

00:06:03.000 --> 00:06:08.000
Your destiny is so shaped by that little germ that you have to sow.

00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:13.000
Your destiny is so shaped by that little germ of a seed called a thought.

00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:18.000
Just imagine that, eh?

00:06:18.000 --> 00:06:20.000
We don't realize why the Bible says,

00:06:20.000 --> 00:06:22.000
As a man thinketh, so is he.

00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:28.000
It's because when you sow a thought, you now reap an action.

00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:32.000
When you sow that action, you reap a habit.

00:06:32.000 --> 00:06:35.000
When you sow that habit, you reap a character.

00:06:35.000 --> 00:06:38.000
And when you sow that character over a period of time,

00:06:38.000 --> 00:06:41.000
it's natural that you would reap a destiny.

00:06:43.000 --> 00:06:47.000
And this is what we need to garrison our kids from.

00:06:47.000 --> 00:06:49.000
Because it starts young, man.

00:06:49.000 --> 00:06:51.000
Some of my habits started when I was very young

00:06:51.000 --> 00:06:53.000
because a thought pattern was introduced.

00:06:53.000 --> 00:06:56.000
And boy is it hard to break.

00:06:59.000 --> 00:07:02.000
Actions, attitudes, thoughts.

00:07:02.000 --> 00:07:04.000
Any questions on this before we go on?

00:07:04.000 --> 00:07:07.000
Let me finish a little more and then we'll break for questions.

00:07:07.000 --> 00:07:09.000
One of the things I wanted to change, guys,

00:07:09.000 --> 00:07:14.000
is we'll ask questions in-betweenies and not anytime we want.

00:07:14.000 --> 00:07:17.000
Because it's great to ask questions anytime you want,

00:07:17.000 --> 00:07:21.000
but it's just elongating the teaching.

00:07:21.000 --> 00:07:24.000
And you think it's my fault and it's not.

00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:26.000
That's one.

00:07:26.000 --> 00:07:30.000
And two, on the tape, people don't hear your questions.

00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:33.000
So they can't understand these long, pregnant pauses.

00:07:33.000 --> 00:07:35.000
They're almost nine months long.

00:07:35.000 --> 00:07:39.000
So let's just confine it to between paragraphs.

00:07:39.000 --> 00:07:42.000
And then when they do ask questions between paragraphs,

00:07:42.000 --> 00:07:44.000
do you mind repeating the questions?

00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:46.000
Because I often don't hear it and the teachers...

00:07:46.000 --> 00:07:48.000
Shush!

00:07:48.000 --> 00:07:50.000
I will.

00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:52.000
Shush!

00:07:52.000 --> 00:07:54.000
I will.

00:07:54.000 --> 00:07:56.000
This is what happens during a teaching.

00:07:56.000 --> 00:07:58.000
Sorry.

00:07:58.000 --> 00:08:00.000
No, no, no. It's fine, man.

00:08:00.000 --> 00:08:02.000
I will try and repeat them.

00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:06.000
But before we ask questions, every seed has its own body.

00:08:06.000 --> 00:08:09.000
1 Corinthians 15 58 says it,

00:08:09.000 --> 00:08:11.000
and it's in a completely different context.

00:08:11.000 --> 00:08:13.000
But have you noticed how an orange seed

00:08:13.000 --> 00:08:15.000
is different from a mango seed?

00:08:15.000 --> 00:08:18.000
Never try thinking that you can swallow both,

00:08:18.000 --> 00:08:21.000
because one will kill you and one will go down your belly.

00:08:21.000 --> 00:08:25.000
So every seed has a different body,

00:08:25.000 --> 00:08:28.000
and every seed produces a certain kind of harvest.

00:08:28.000 --> 00:08:30.000
Remember that.

00:08:30.000 --> 00:08:32.000
Every seed has a different body,

00:08:32.000 --> 00:08:34.000
and every seed produces a different kind of harvest.

00:08:34.000 --> 00:08:37.000
Meaning every thought, every word, every action,

00:08:37.000 --> 00:08:40.000
every attitude has a different shape to it.

00:08:40.000 --> 00:08:43.000
And according to what I allow to germinate in me,

00:08:43.000 --> 00:08:47.000
accordingly I produce fruit as is based on the seed.

00:08:47.000 --> 00:08:50.000
A mango tree was brought up by a mango seed.

00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:52.000
Every seed has a body,

00:08:52.000 --> 00:08:54.000
and every seed produces a certain kind of fruit.

00:08:54.000 --> 00:08:56.000
Just remember that.

00:08:56.000 --> 00:08:58.000
True.

00:08:58.000 --> 00:09:00.000
So depending on what I sow,

00:09:00.000 --> 00:09:02.000
I'm responsible for what grows.

00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:04.000
Depending on what I sow,

00:09:04.000 --> 00:09:07.000
I'm responsible for what grows.

00:09:09.000 --> 00:09:11.000
Depending on what I sow,

00:09:11.000 --> 00:09:14.000
I'm responsible for what grows.

00:09:14.000 --> 00:09:17.000
And I love this line, and it's so, so crucial.

00:09:17.000 --> 00:09:19.000
Practice this guys. Never forget this line.

00:09:19.000 --> 00:09:23.000
In every situation, determine the seed.

00:09:23.000 --> 00:09:26.000
In every situation, determine the seed.

00:09:26.000 --> 00:09:28.000
Meaning,

00:09:31.000 --> 00:09:35.000
when you are in a particular situation that may be good,

00:09:35.000 --> 00:09:38.000
determine the seed that you can plant to make it better.

00:09:38.000 --> 00:09:40.000
When you are in a situation which stinks,

00:09:40.000 --> 00:09:44.000
determine the seed you can plant so that you can still come out of it.

00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:48.000
Because breakthrough comes through the seed you plant.

00:09:48.000 --> 00:09:51.000
Breakthrough does not come through prayer.

00:09:51.000 --> 00:09:54.000
I can have a habit, and I can pray myself black and blue,

00:09:54.000 --> 00:09:56.000
asking God to change the habit,

00:09:56.000 --> 00:09:58.000
and He will do everything He can to help.

00:09:58.000 --> 00:10:00.000
But at the end of the day,

00:10:00.000 --> 00:10:02.000
breakthrough comes through changing the habit

00:10:02.000 --> 00:10:04.000
by changing the thought pattern,

00:10:04.000 --> 00:10:07.000
which changes my action, which changes the habit.

00:10:07.000 --> 00:10:11.000
So breakthrough comes through the seed we sow.

00:10:11.000 --> 00:10:13.000
And God will give us seed to sow.

00:10:13.000 --> 00:10:15.000
He'll say, okay Jacob, so this is the area you're struggling with.

00:10:15.000 --> 00:10:17.000
Here, let me tell you what seed to sow.

00:10:17.000 --> 00:10:19.000
Because by sowing the seed,

00:10:19.000 --> 00:10:22.000
you can change the crop that you've been growing for the last 20 years.

00:10:22.000 --> 00:10:24.000
Imagine that!

00:10:27.000 --> 00:10:29.000
Crazy, man!

00:10:29.000 --> 00:10:31.000
That's the way to function.

00:10:31.000 --> 00:10:33.000
It's going to be hard to hold questions.

00:10:36.000 --> 00:10:38.000
Okay, you can ask.

00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:44.000
Maybe we should use the other mic, the water, if it's not coming under.

00:10:44.000 --> 00:10:46.000
Yeah, either that or I can repeat it.

00:10:46.000 --> 00:10:49.000
Any questions?

00:10:49.000 --> 00:10:52.000
What about sowing a seed different than prayer

00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:55.000
or different than the scripture declarations?

00:10:55.000 --> 00:10:58.000
There's nothing wrong with scripture declarations.

00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:00.000
But scripture declarations are declarations

00:11:00.000 --> 00:11:03.000
given to cover a whole lot of things.

00:11:03.000 --> 00:11:07.000
But find out what is the seed I require in my particular situation.

00:11:07.000 --> 00:11:13.000
For instance, I can declare myself as going to prosper.

00:11:13.000 --> 00:11:15.000
Okay? And that's a great declaration.

00:11:15.000 --> 00:11:17.000
God wants me to prosper.

00:11:17.000 --> 00:11:20.000
God is the one who supplies this and God is the one who supplies that.

00:11:20.000 --> 00:11:22.000
He is Jehovah Jireh. He is my provider.

00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:25.000
He'll supply me according to all the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

00:11:25.000 --> 00:11:28.000
And at the end of the day, you'll hear a small whisper from God saying,

00:11:28.000 --> 00:11:30.000
Hey, you want to prosper?

00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:32.000
Then go by this simple seed.

00:11:32.000 --> 00:11:34.000
Give and you will receive.

00:11:34.000 --> 00:11:37.000
Now, while the declarations are good,

00:11:37.000 --> 00:11:41.000
what you simply need to do is plant the seed of giving and receiving,

00:11:41.000 --> 00:11:45.000
and suddenly you begin to see a crop.

00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:47.000
It's not that the declarations are not good,

00:11:47.000 --> 00:11:50.000
but the declarations are like a smorgasbord

00:11:50.000 --> 00:11:54.000
where you need a particular seed to bring about a particular result.

00:11:54.000 --> 00:11:58.000
No one takes pineapples, mangoes, oranges, tomatoes, cucumbers,

00:11:58.000 --> 00:12:01.000
and give me another seed-bearing thingy.

00:12:01.000 --> 00:12:03.000
Beans.

00:12:03.000 --> 00:12:05.000
Beans and plants them together.

00:12:05.000 --> 00:12:10.000
They're all good seeds, but they all have a place to be planted.

00:12:10.000 --> 00:12:12.000
I think that's one side of the story.

00:12:12.000 --> 00:12:15.000
What about others trying to plant a seed into me?

00:12:15.000 --> 00:12:17.000
I have to be careful.

00:12:17.000 --> 00:12:21.000
Seed that others are trying to plant into you, one has to figure out.

00:12:21.000 --> 00:12:25.000
For instance, let's assume I see an area in your life that needs change.

00:12:25.000 --> 00:12:27.000
If I come and say to you, Marcus, here is a seed.

00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:32.000
You plant this principle from God into your life, and it'll change you.

00:12:32.000 --> 00:12:35.000
You have to discern whether I'm telling you right, whether my intents are right,

00:12:35.000 --> 00:12:38.000
but usually you can take it for granted that I won't do you harm.

00:12:38.000 --> 00:12:40.000
So you weigh it and then you do it.

00:12:40.000 --> 00:12:44.000
Yeah.

00:12:44.000 --> 00:12:47.000
Any other questions, guys?

00:12:47.000 --> 00:12:51.000
I have an example.

00:12:51.000 --> 00:12:58.000
Before God could do me a favor and quit smoking,

00:12:58.000 --> 00:13:05.000
before I could actually quit smoking,

00:13:05.000 --> 00:13:10.000
I had to change my mindset into the difficulty of it.

00:13:10.000 --> 00:13:14.000
God planted a seed in me in the form of a book

00:13:14.000 --> 00:13:17.000
that I knew I had to read before I could ever quit smoking,

00:13:17.000 --> 00:13:20.000
and it helped me to change my mindset on how difficult it would be.

00:13:20.000 --> 00:13:25.000
Once I read the book in good faith, just suddenly overnight I could quit smoking,

00:13:25.000 --> 00:13:28.000
but I don't think that would have happened had I not followed what God told me to do first.

00:13:28.000 --> 00:13:32.000
So much breakthrough happens through the seed we sow, guys.

00:13:32.000 --> 00:13:34.000
Much breakthrough happens.

00:13:34.000 --> 00:13:37.000
And so you may think it's difficult. It's not.

00:13:37.000 --> 00:13:40.000
Who wants your garden to flourish the most?

00:13:40.000 --> 00:13:43.000
Not me, I do, but who wants it to flourish the most?

00:13:43.000 --> 00:13:45.000
God, man.

00:13:45.000 --> 00:13:47.000
I mean, I love what he says in John 15.

00:13:47.000 --> 00:13:53.000
He says, Umar, don't you know that I have planted you so that you may bear much fruit?

00:13:53.000 --> 00:13:57.000
So who is most interested in having your garden flourish?

00:13:57.000 --> 00:13:58.000
The Father.

00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:00.000
And so he's willing to supply seed.

00:14:00.000 --> 00:14:03.000
So I have to determine, here's the situation.

00:14:03.000 --> 00:14:06.000
I need a breakthrough. It's a bad situation or a good situation.

00:14:06.000 --> 00:14:08.000
What is the seed I need to sow?

00:14:08.000 --> 00:14:11.000
And this is not about money. It's about everything.

00:14:11.000 --> 00:14:14.000
Everything.

00:14:14.000 --> 00:14:16.000
I want to say this.

00:14:16.000 --> 00:14:20.000
Half the time the prophetic is about equipping you with the right seed

00:14:20.000 --> 00:14:23.000
that God knows will produce a fruit in the future.

00:14:23.000 --> 00:14:31.000
Half the content of the prophetic is giving you seed that you can use to change your future.

00:14:31.000 --> 00:14:36.000
Because God is seeing days ahead and he's saying, plant the seed, there's a time coming, you need to change.

00:14:36.000 --> 00:14:41.000
This will come into fruition in two years and see what happens.

00:14:41.000 --> 00:14:43.000
Go ahead, James.

00:14:43.000 --> 00:14:50.000
Can there be nothing in certain circumstances where God says,

00:14:50.000 --> 00:15:00.000
trust me and use that ability of your trust and the soul on the fruit will come completely by its migrate?

00:15:00.000 --> 00:15:02.000
Can nothing be a seed?

00:15:02.000 --> 00:15:04.000
It happens in both ways.

00:15:04.000 --> 00:15:08.000
On one hand, doing nothing, according to a certain, I don't remember the proverb,

00:15:08.000 --> 00:15:11.000
doing nothing will lead to decay.

00:15:11.000 --> 00:15:16.000
On the other hand, there's a doing nothing because God hasn't asked you to do anything yet.

00:15:16.000 --> 00:15:18.000
So there are two doing nothings.

00:15:18.000 --> 00:15:23.000
There's one doing nothing where Israel marched around Jericho doing nothing.

00:15:23.000 --> 00:15:26.000
And then there's a doing nothing which brings decay.

00:15:26.000 --> 00:15:31.000
So you've got to figure out which doing nothing you're indulging in.

00:15:31.000 --> 00:15:35.000
Sometimes God says, do nothing, you've got to do nothing, man.

00:15:35.000 --> 00:15:37.000
I mean, God told...

00:15:37.000 --> 00:15:39.000
Yeah, you're trusting.

00:15:39.000 --> 00:15:42.000
But no action.

00:15:42.000 --> 00:15:44.000
God told a man,

00:15:44.000 --> 00:15:48.000
that listen, I'll give you a son, do nothing.

00:15:48.000 --> 00:15:54.000
The man waited for some years and then went and married his wife's mistress.

00:15:54.000 --> 00:15:58.000
And we know what happened out of that.

00:15:58.000 --> 00:16:03.000
In case you don't know, it's Ishmael.

00:16:03.000 --> 00:16:05.000
So let's talk about the different kinds of seeds.

00:16:05.000 --> 00:16:09.000
And the seeds we'll talk about first are death seeds, meaning...

00:16:09.000 --> 00:16:13.000
When I say death seeds, I don't mean you're going to die if you plant the seed.

00:16:13.000 --> 00:16:17.000
I'm just saying you will have corruption, destruction, and ruin if you plant these seeds.

00:16:17.000 --> 00:16:19.000
So let's talk about death seeds first.

00:16:19.000 --> 00:16:24.000
Okay.

00:16:24.000 --> 00:16:31.000
If you want strife in your life, one of the seeds that will really help is gossip.

00:16:31.000 --> 00:16:35.000
Gossip is a seed for strife.

00:16:35.000 --> 00:16:38.000
Gossip is the seed for strife.

00:16:38.000 --> 00:16:39.000
So...

00:16:39.000 --> 00:16:41.000
But men don't want to be stifed.

00:16:41.000 --> 00:16:43.000
They don't want to be stifed.

00:16:43.000 --> 00:16:45.000
They don't want to be stifed.

00:16:45.000 --> 00:16:47.000
Gossip is the seed for strife.

00:16:47.000 --> 00:16:48.000
So...

00:16:48.000 --> 00:16:49.000
But men don't gossip.

00:16:49.000 --> 00:16:51.000
Trust me, they do.

00:16:51.000 --> 00:16:52.000
Let me...

00:16:52.000 --> 00:16:53.000
Let me...

00:16:53.000 --> 00:16:56.000
Let me define gossip.

00:16:56.000 --> 00:16:59.000
Gossip is speaking ill.

00:16:59.000 --> 00:17:02.000
Gossip is defaming.

00:17:02.000 --> 00:17:05.000
Gossip is idle rumors.

00:17:05.000 --> 00:17:08.000
Gossip is speaking ill.

00:17:08.000 --> 00:17:10.000
Gossip is defaming.

00:17:10.000 --> 00:17:12.000
And gossip is idle rumors.

00:17:12.000 --> 00:17:13.000
Idle rumors.

00:17:13.000 --> 00:17:16.000
And so men, as well as women, indulge in it.

00:17:16.000 --> 00:17:19.000
Perhaps women a little more than men, I have heard.

00:17:19.000 --> 00:17:22.000
There's no statistics on it, but I have heard.

00:17:22.000 --> 00:17:25.000
I wouldn't know my wife is very different when it comes to things like that.

00:17:25.000 --> 00:17:31.000
How would I have heard it from my wife?

00:17:31.000 --> 00:17:37.000
Guys, the words of a gossip are like choice morsels.

00:17:37.000 --> 00:17:39.000
They go down to a man's inmost part.

00:17:40.000 --> 00:17:43.000
So one of the things that gossip produces is strife.

00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:45.000
So gossip is a seed for strife.

00:17:45.000 --> 00:17:47.000
Gossip is a seed for strife.

00:17:47.000 --> 00:17:48.000
Check and...

00:17:48.000 --> 00:17:50.000
What does that mean?

00:17:50.000 --> 00:17:55.000
It's speaking ill, it's defaming, it's malicious or idle rumors.

00:17:55.000 --> 00:17:56.000
Idle rumors.

00:17:56.000 --> 00:18:00.000
Idle rumors, yeah.

00:18:00.000 --> 00:18:05.000
So gossip is a seed for strife.

00:18:05.000 --> 00:18:06.000
Check, huh?

00:18:06.000 --> 00:18:08.000
Sometimes we need to check.

00:18:08.000 --> 00:18:09.000
What's strife?

00:18:09.000 --> 00:18:14.000
Strife is when everything is calm and then suddenly this wave comes in

00:18:14.000 --> 00:18:19.000
and just throws everything into turmoil and turbulence.

00:18:19.000 --> 00:18:22.000
I mean, out of the blue, you're sailing fine.

00:18:22.000 --> 00:18:24.000
I mean, today felt like a summer day, man.

00:18:24.000 --> 00:18:27.000
And suddenly the waves come and everything changes.

00:18:27.000 --> 00:18:34.000
And check whether this is one of the areas that you're having a problem in.

00:18:34.000 --> 00:18:39.000
And remember, everything that I'm going to speak about in terms of death seeds,

00:18:39.000 --> 00:18:42.000
Christians know how to dress it up well.

00:18:42.000 --> 00:18:44.000
It's a prayer request.

00:18:44.000 --> 00:18:46.000
Yeah.

00:18:46.000 --> 00:18:49.000
So just be aware that everything, we dress them well.

00:18:49.000 --> 00:18:53.000
By the way, what's the church's policy on Halloween?

00:18:53.000 --> 00:18:58.000
We never really talk about it because we kind of assume that we know how to go about it.

00:18:58.000 --> 00:19:07.000
Guys, when I have my kids dress up in anything that represents death,

00:19:07.000 --> 00:19:11.000
then I should not expect life in them.

00:19:11.000 --> 00:19:12.000
Simple.

00:19:12.000 --> 00:19:13.000
Go by that.

00:19:13.000 --> 00:19:16.000
So how are you supposed to react when people come knocking at your door?

00:19:16.000 --> 00:19:19.000
Two, three choices and you can pick what is best.

00:19:19.000 --> 00:19:23.000
You can turn off the lights, which makes them think, hmm,

00:19:23.000 --> 00:19:26.000
how come they're not coming out because they know you're inside?

00:19:26.000 --> 00:19:34.000
Or two, you can prepare something for these kids that have some kind of value or moral or worth

00:19:34.000 --> 00:19:37.000
that comes from a Christian angle.

00:19:37.000 --> 00:19:43.000
Or like me, you can go to Kenya or South Africa.

00:19:43.000 --> 00:19:46.000
So how you respond to that is your call.

00:19:46.000 --> 00:19:53.000
But remember, you cannot cost too much your child in something that masquerades as death or evil

00:19:53.000 --> 00:19:56.000
and expect that your child is going to benefit.

00:19:56.000 --> 00:19:59.000
And especially because parents are the ones who make the decision.

00:19:59.000 --> 00:20:05.000
Now the child has no protection because the one that is in authority has said yes.

00:20:05.000 --> 00:20:10.000
So just be aware of that.

00:20:10.000 --> 00:20:20.000
Secondly, fear is a seed that we sow and fear is a seed for insecurity, people pleasing and double-mindedness.

00:20:20.000 --> 00:20:23.000
Fear is a seed.

00:20:23.000 --> 00:20:26.000
This is a very potent seed.

00:20:26.000 --> 00:20:45.000
It's a seed for insecurity, people pleasing and double-mindedness.

00:20:46.000 --> 00:20:52.000
Hey, I'll miss you guys, man.

00:20:52.000 --> 00:20:55.000
Fear is a...just one person said I'll miss you too.

00:20:55.000 --> 00:20:57.000
Thanks.

00:20:57.000 --> 00:20:58.000
This is on tape.

00:20:58.000 --> 00:21:02.000
You should have all shouted back together.

00:21:02.000 --> 00:21:09.000
Fear is a seed for insecurity, for people pleasing and for double-mindedness.

00:21:09.000 --> 00:21:12.000
Proverbs 29, 25.

00:21:12.000 --> 00:21:13.000
It wasn't that funny.

00:21:13.000 --> 00:21:17.000
Proverbs 29, 25.

00:21:17.000 --> 00:21:18.000
Proverbs 29, 25.

00:21:18.000 --> 00:21:23.000
Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts the Lord is kept safe.

00:21:23.000 --> 00:21:30.000
Guys, I have this in different areas of my life where because of fear, I'll either end up people pleasing

00:21:30.000 --> 00:21:33.000
or I'll develop a degree of insecurity.

00:21:33.000 --> 00:21:40.000
Double-mindedness I seem to be able to deal with in faith, but insecurity and people pleasing I find happening.

00:21:40.000 --> 00:21:50.000
Where because of fear, I now dilute things and please people or I feel insecure in different circumstances.

00:21:50.000 --> 00:21:55.000
So this is a seed that produces this.

00:21:55.000 --> 00:22:02.000
And remember that if the moment you plant double-mindedness, then you shouldn't expect to get anything.

00:22:02.000 --> 00:22:10.000
The Bible says in James 1, verses 7 and 8, a man who is double-minded shouldn't think that he will obtain anything.

00:22:10.000 --> 00:22:27.000
Shouldn't think that he will receive anything.

00:22:27.000 --> 00:22:33.000
There's an inability to receive the moment double-mindedness is a seed.

00:22:33.000 --> 00:22:38.000
Check and see if that's how you approach things where should I, should I not?

00:22:38.000 --> 00:22:40.000
Maybe I should, maybe I shouldn't.

00:22:40.000 --> 00:22:41.000
What if this happens?

00:22:41.000 --> 00:22:42.000
What if that happens?

00:22:42.000 --> 00:22:45.000
But then this happened to that person and then this happened to this person.

00:22:45.000 --> 00:22:46.000
What if it doesn't turn out?

00:22:46.000 --> 00:22:48.000
Maybe I should have a plan B.

00:22:48.000 --> 00:22:57.000
Prepare for the worst case scenario so that you will never be disappointed.

00:22:57.000 --> 00:23:09.000
The solution to it, there's life seed which we can talk about later, but the solution in this is again going back to sowing trust and sowing faith in the character of God.

00:23:09.000 --> 00:23:12.000
Sowing trust and faith in the character of God.

00:23:12.000 --> 00:23:15.000
The solution to the first one in terms of fear.

00:23:15.000 --> 00:23:24.000
Man, you know, insecurity and people-pleasing can be destroyed if I have a sense of worth in Christ and my sense of worth fluctuates sometimes

00:23:24.000 --> 00:23:31.000
because sometimes I'm more concerned about how much you count me worthy than how much God counts me worthy.

00:23:31.000 --> 00:23:46.000
Therefore, it is important for me to make sure that I please you and that puts me in a place of insecurity.

00:23:46.000 --> 00:23:48.000
How do I deal with this?

00:23:48.000 --> 00:23:56.000
When I know that there are people that I seem to want to easily please because I'm afraid of what they will think of me or how they will respond,

00:23:56.000 --> 00:23:58.000
then I go before I meet them.

00:23:58.000 --> 00:24:02.000
I spend time with God saying, Father, you know my situation with this person.

00:24:02.000 --> 00:24:06.000
I always seem to want the recognition from this person.

00:24:06.000 --> 00:24:14.000
So I spend minutes or hours walking and saying to God, Father, I need to be in love with you today before I meet this person.

00:24:14.000 --> 00:24:22.000
Because if I'm aware of how much you like me, I don't have a problem dealing with people who may think me worthy a lot.

00:24:22.000 --> 00:24:25.000
Once I'm said there, no, then it doesn't matter.

00:24:28.000 --> 00:24:30.000
Then it doesn't matter.

00:24:40.000 --> 00:24:43.000
I remember doing it the first time Eddie came.

00:24:43.000 --> 00:24:48.000
The first time Eddie came, it was the first time he was going to see me lead worship and it was here.

00:24:48.000 --> 00:24:54.000
I remember trying my best to generate the kind of worship that would be awesome.

00:24:54.000 --> 00:24:59.000
I thought it was all your fault because you guys weren't responding.

00:24:59.000 --> 00:25:01.000
Basically, I was trying hard.

00:25:01.000 --> 00:25:06.000
In fact, Bernice sent me an email saying, today worship seemed an effort.

00:25:06.000 --> 00:25:08.000
I didn't like that at all but I didn't tell her that.

00:25:08.000 --> 00:25:16.000
But the whole point being it was important for me to impress Eddie because this was the first time Eddie was coming.

00:25:16.000 --> 00:25:21.000
I remember going back the next day and saying, Father, I can't do this.

00:25:21.000 --> 00:25:24.000
It's too painful to try and drum up this thing.

00:25:24.000 --> 00:25:31.000
That day I remember walking with God saying, I've got to worship you because you like me a lot and I like you a lot.

00:25:31.000 --> 00:25:34.000
I couldn't care less about the rest.

00:25:34.000 --> 00:25:39.000
That made it very easy the second day because now there was no need to impress anybody.

00:25:39.000 --> 00:25:41.000
Why do you need to impress people?

00:25:41.000 --> 00:25:44.000
Because you're afraid of what they will think if you don't impress them.

00:25:44.000 --> 00:25:46.000
Fear.

00:25:49.000 --> 00:25:52.000
This is John 13, 1-3. Brilliant.

00:25:52.000 --> 00:25:59.000
Jesus Christ, knowing where he came from and where he was going, took off his outer garments, wrapped a towel around him,

00:25:59.000 --> 00:26:03.000
went down to his knees and started washing his disciples' feet.

00:26:03.000 --> 00:26:07.000
You just need to know you're always impressive.

00:26:07.000 --> 00:26:10.000
Thank you, Wayne. Thank you.

00:26:10.000 --> 00:26:14.000
This church should learn when to say amen.

00:26:17.000 --> 00:26:20.000
Unforgiveness. That's an easy one.

00:26:20.000 --> 00:26:24.000
But I just want to bring in a small thing that we don't normally say.

00:26:24.000 --> 00:26:29.000
I know you know that unforgiveness brings in a toxicity in you.

00:26:29.000 --> 00:26:31.000
That we know.

00:26:31.000 --> 00:26:37.000
But one of the things we need to understand about unforgiveness is unforgiveness puts you into spiritual quarantine.

00:26:37.000 --> 00:26:41.000
Unforgiveness puts you into spiritual quarantine.

00:26:41.000 --> 00:26:44.000
Spiritual quarantine.

00:26:46.000 --> 00:26:55.000
And what I mean by that is, you know, when you have a disease, they put you aside in a room till they check you out and you recover from the disease.

00:26:57.000 --> 00:27:01.000
The moment we think of what Jesus taught his disciples and he said,

00:27:01.000 --> 00:27:07.000
One of the things that happens in unforgiveness is that I am now set aside, not set aside by God,

00:27:07.000 --> 00:27:14.000
but I'm spiritually quarantined till I can overcome the hurt or the harm done to me.

00:27:14.000 --> 00:27:23.000
And I'm not able to have God flow through me the way he wants me to because I suffer from a disease that needs to be quarantined.

00:27:23.000 --> 00:27:26.000
Important.

00:27:26.000 --> 00:27:30.000
So, spiritual quarantine is not fun.

00:27:30.000 --> 00:27:35.000
It's like you can't mix with the rest till you're over the sickness.

00:27:42.000 --> 00:27:47.000
I don't really experience it in another place.

00:27:47.000 --> 00:27:57.000
The Lord really explains in another place what unforgiveness is, the result of it.

00:27:57.000 --> 00:28:00.000
That he cannot forgive us.

00:28:00.000 --> 00:28:07.000
And it actually describes what happens.

00:28:07.000 --> 00:28:14.000
You go to jail, you pay, you cannot pay.

00:28:14.000 --> 00:28:15.000
Yeah.

00:28:15.000 --> 00:28:22.000
Guys, the way it works is, let's assume he's my son and he has unforgiveness against his brother.

00:28:22.000 --> 00:28:25.000
Now, it's not that he stops being my son.

00:28:25.000 --> 00:28:31.000
But now what I have cannot flow through him till he comes into a place where he reconciles with his brother.

00:28:31.000 --> 00:28:35.000
Therefore, when I have to call one of my sons to do something,

00:28:35.000 --> 00:28:39.000
I'll call the younger one, even though the older one is more qualified,

00:28:40.000 --> 00:28:47.000
because he has spiritually quarantined himself from being used when I want him to be used.

00:28:47.000 --> 00:28:51.000
Because when he is unforgiving, he and I have nothing in common.

00:28:51.000 --> 00:29:00.000
Because everything I am speaks forgiveness.

00:29:00.000 --> 00:29:08.000
So, be aware of spiritual quarantine. It's so self-defeating as a Christian.

00:29:08.000 --> 00:29:11.000
The next seed, deception.

00:29:11.000 --> 00:29:16.000
Today, two or three times we heard God saying while we were during the time of worship

00:29:16.000 --> 00:29:19.000
and people were speaking and saying what God was saying.

00:29:19.000 --> 00:29:23.000
We heard, do not build on lies, speak the truth.

00:29:23.000 --> 00:29:27.000
Deception. And so, when God says that two or three times in a congregation,

00:29:27.000 --> 00:29:31.000
pay attention because maybe there's an issue in my life where I'm lying or deceiving.

00:29:31.000 --> 00:29:34.000
And maybe there's an issue in your life that you need to take care of.

00:29:34.000 --> 00:29:37.000
So, deception is a seed for concealment.

00:29:37.000 --> 00:29:41.000
Deception is the seed for concealment.

00:29:41.000 --> 00:29:46.000
Meaning, when I deceive, I get concealed.

00:29:46.000 --> 00:29:49.000
Because you have to walk in the light of the truth.

00:29:49.000 --> 00:29:53.000
Deception has the ability to conceal.

00:29:53.000 --> 00:30:01.000
Jacob was concealed in Laban's house for 20 years because of his deception.

00:30:01.000 --> 00:30:07.000
Those were not 20 years that God had ordained for him, by the way.

00:30:07.000 --> 00:30:09.000
Just so we are clear.

00:30:09.000 --> 00:30:13.000
Joseph's imprisonment was a God's thing.

00:30:13.000 --> 00:30:21.000
It says in Psalm 105 or 106 that he was put in fetters and the word of the Lord tested him.

00:30:21.000 --> 00:30:25.000
It never says that about Jacob.

00:30:25.000 --> 00:30:29.000
20 years the guy is concealed in Laban's house for his deception.

00:30:29.000 --> 00:30:32.000
Deception is a seed for concealment.

00:30:32.000 --> 00:30:37.000
It will conceal your life and it will conceal the very thing you're trying to lie and build.

00:30:37.000 --> 00:30:43.000
Oh man, I don't know why I don't get this.

00:30:43.000 --> 00:30:48.000
The very thing you're lying about will never see the light of day because it's concealed.

00:30:48.000 --> 00:30:50.000
And the very...

00:30:50.000 --> 00:30:53.000
When I indulge in deception, whatever I'm touching is concealed.

00:30:53.000 --> 00:30:58.000
It does not see the light of God.

00:30:58.000 --> 00:31:04.000
I think it's a time when we are deceived by someone else and we are in deception.

00:31:04.000 --> 00:31:11.000
True. True. Yep. Yep.

00:31:11.000 --> 00:31:14.000
Accusation is a seed for captivity.

00:31:14.000 --> 00:31:19.000
Accusation is the seed for captivity.

00:31:19.000 --> 00:31:23.000
Accusation is the seed for captivity.

00:31:23.000 --> 00:31:27.000
Why? Because when I partner with the accuser or the brethren,

00:31:27.000 --> 00:31:29.000
then it's like running a...

00:31:29.000 --> 00:31:33.000
You know when you tie two people's legs together and they're going to run that race?

00:31:33.000 --> 00:31:35.000
Two legged or three legged?

00:31:35.000 --> 00:31:37.000
I can't understand that. It's two legs.

00:31:37.000 --> 00:31:40.000
But anyways...

00:31:40.000 --> 00:31:43.000
Okay, so basically that's what happens.

00:31:43.000 --> 00:31:45.000
When you start...

00:31:45.000 --> 00:31:49.000
Accusation is a seed for captivity because now you bring yourself into bondage

00:31:49.000 --> 00:31:55.000
by partnering with the accuser or the brethren.

00:31:55.000 --> 00:31:58.000
Does that not mean we don't raise our voice against things that are wrong?

00:31:58.000 --> 00:32:01.000
But one knows the spirit it's coming from.

00:32:01.000 --> 00:32:06.000
Many times when I begin to talk about things that are wrong in terms of the church,

00:32:06.000 --> 00:32:13.000
many times I find myself sliding from it being an indignation that is correct

00:32:13.000 --> 00:32:15.000
to an accusation that is wrong.

00:32:15.000 --> 00:32:18.000
I can see myself slipping.

00:32:18.000 --> 00:32:23.000
An accusation then becomes the seed for captivity.

00:32:23.000 --> 00:32:27.000
An accusation also will be the seed for abandonment.

00:32:27.000 --> 00:32:29.000
How?

00:32:29.000 --> 00:32:33.000
I cannot tell you how.

00:32:33.000 --> 00:32:35.000
Think about it and let me know.

00:32:35.000 --> 00:32:38.000
I mean, I'm just going to mention that the...

00:32:38.000 --> 00:32:42.000
The accuser, I couldn't be calling the accused the ass of the poor kind of accused.

00:32:42.000 --> 00:32:44.000
He was in the belly.

00:32:44.000 --> 00:32:47.000
Now that isn't a job, so I'm just going vice versa.

00:32:47.000 --> 00:32:52.000
Yeah, it could be, but yeah.

00:32:52.000 --> 00:32:59.000
Isolation or independence is the seed for the failure of purposes and plans.

00:32:59.000 --> 00:33:03.000
Isolation, this is an important one, guys, because it's so easy to become like this.

00:33:03.000 --> 00:33:16.000
Isolation or independence is the seed for failure of purpose and error.

00:33:16.000 --> 00:33:24.000
Isolation or independence is the seed for failure of purpose and error.

00:33:34.000 --> 00:33:36.000
Proverbs 15-22.

00:33:36.000 --> 00:33:43.000
Plans fail for the lack of counsel, but with many advisors, they succeed.

00:33:43.000 --> 00:33:52.000
Plans fail for the lack of counsel, but with many counselors, they succeed.

00:33:52.000 --> 00:33:56.000
Proverbs 24-6.

00:33:56.000 --> 00:34:02.000
For waging war, you need guidance, and for victory, many advisors.

00:34:02.000 --> 00:34:11.000
So when I begin to operate in isolation and independence, now do you see why it would be so foolish not to be sent by the body?

00:34:11.000 --> 00:34:13.000
When I go on my own.

00:34:13.000 --> 00:34:17.000
How foolish is that?

00:34:17.000 --> 00:34:22.000
Go ahead.

00:34:22.000 --> 00:34:25.000
Failure of purpose and error.

00:34:25.000 --> 00:34:27.000
Error is a separate thing.

00:34:27.000 --> 00:34:29.000
Go ahead.

00:34:29.000 --> 00:34:31.000
Failure of purpose and error.

00:34:31.000 --> 00:34:32.000
Error is a separate...

00:34:32.000 --> 00:34:33.000
Seed for error.

00:34:33.000 --> 00:34:35.000
Seed, yeah.

00:34:35.000 --> 00:34:43.000
Isolation or independence is the seed for failure of purpose, and it's a seed for error.

00:34:43.000 --> 00:34:44.000
Go ahead.

00:34:44.000 --> 00:34:48.000
Failure of purpose as in understanding...

00:34:48.000 --> 00:34:54.000
No, let's assume I have a plan and a purpose, but when I choose to operate in isolation or independence,

00:34:54.000 --> 00:35:03.000
those purposes and plans fail because in the counsel of many, there is wisdom, and that when I strategize for war, it's good to have advisors.

00:35:03.000 --> 00:35:07.000
We don't operate as mavericks.

00:35:07.000 --> 00:35:13.000
Error as in making errors because of the lack of guidance or counsel.

00:35:13.000 --> 00:35:18.000
Yeah.

00:35:18.000 --> 00:35:23.000
Yeah.

00:35:23.000 --> 00:35:28.000
Yeah.

00:35:28.000 --> 00:35:33.000
Yeah.

00:35:33.000 --> 00:35:38.000
Yeah.

00:35:38.000 --> 00:35:43.000
In an orchard, yeah.

00:35:43.000 --> 00:35:48.000
Yeah.

00:35:48.000 --> 00:35:51.000
Yeah.

00:35:51.000 --> 00:35:52.000
Yeah, so sad, eh?

00:35:52.000 --> 00:35:56.000
Guys, the kingdom of God is never about isolation.

00:35:56.000 --> 00:35:57.000
Yeah.

00:35:57.000 --> 00:36:02.000
He saw an apple tree growing in a garbage disposal area.

00:36:02.000 --> 00:36:06.000
Apple trees usually grow in orchards, not in a garbage disposal area.

00:36:06.000 --> 00:36:09.000
It has fruit, but no one's going to eat of it.

00:36:09.000 --> 00:36:15.000
So the kingdom of God is never about isolated, independent operation.

00:36:15.000 --> 00:36:16.000
You know what?

00:36:16.000 --> 00:36:24.000
Holy Spirit has gifted all God's children wisdom and insight and whatever, eh?

00:36:24.000 --> 00:36:26.000
Amen.

00:36:26.000 --> 00:36:31.000
Gisela's in the building.

00:36:31.000 --> 00:36:40.000
Discontent, discontent or complaint is the seed for covetousness and bitter envy.

00:36:40.000 --> 00:36:49.000
Discontent is the seed for craving or covetousness and bitter envy.

00:36:49.000 --> 00:37:00.000
Guys, again, as far as I know, I'm not someone who divides men and women as women are this way, men are this way.

00:37:00.000 --> 00:37:05.000
But I'd suggest to you that this is more common to women than men.

00:37:05.000 --> 00:37:12.000
Discontent or discontentment sometimes seems to be more a problem with women than men.

00:37:12.000 --> 00:37:20.000
Discontentment is the seed for craving or covetousness.

00:37:20.000 --> 00:37:22.000
I want what that person has.

00:37:22.000 --> 00:37:29.000
And it also is the seed for bitter envy, as in I cannot get what that person has.

00:37:29.000 --> 00:37:31.000
Leads to quarreling and strife.

00:37:31.000 --> 00:37:44.000
James chapter 4 verses 1.

00:37:44.000 --> 00:37:46.000
James 4 verses 1 and 2 talks about it.

00:37:46.000 --> 00:37:48.000
Exodus 16, 3 talks about it.

00:37:48.000 --> 00:37:52.000
Man, did Israel lose its inheritance because of discontentment?

00:37:52.000 --> 00:38:07.000
And what were they discontented for? Onions and leeks.

00:38:07.000 --> 00:38:12.000
Let's go to James chapter 4 verses 1 and 2.

00:38:12.000 --> 00:38:18.000
It has a solution right there.

00:38:18.000 --> 00:38:21.000
So Matt, what causes fights and quarrels among you?

00:38:21.000 --> 00:38:25.000
No, you're quite a content guy, so I'm not talking about you.

00:38:25.000 --> 00:38:27.000
What causes fights and quarrels among you?

00:38:27.000 --> 00:38:30.000
Don't they come from your desires that battle within you?

00:38:30.000 --> 00:38:32.000
You want something but you don't get it.

00:38:32.000 --> 00:38:35.000
You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want.

00:38:35.000 --> 00:38:38.000
You quarrel and fight you do not have because you do not ask God.

00:38:38.000 --> 00:38:41.000
When you ask you do not receive because you ask with wrong motives.

00:38:41.000 --> 00:38:44.000
That you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

00:38:44.000 --> 00:38:48.000
James goes on to tell you how to correct your heart.

00:38:48.000 --> 00:38:54.000
James 4, 1 and 2.

00:38:54.000 --> 00:38:56.000
Bitter envy.

00:38:56.000 --> 00:38:59.000
Hey, this is a nasty one, eh?

00:38:59.000 --> 00:39:04.000
Bitter envy and may I suggest to you that all of us have it at some time or the other?

00:39:04.000 --> 00:39:07.000
It's a combination of bitterness and envy.

00:39:07.000 --> 00:39:11.000
Envy because of, darn, I don't have it.

00:39:11.000 --> 00:39:14.000
I deserve it and how come they have it?

00:39:14.000 --> 00:39:23.000
And when bitterness and envy combine, it says bitter envy is the seed for all confusion and the demonic.

00:39:23.000 --> 00:39:25.000
James chapter 4.

00:39:25.000 --> 00:39:29.000
For every evil and for confusion.

00:39:29.000 --> 00:39:33.000
Bitter envy.

00:39:33.000 --> 00:39:36.000
Let me find it.

00:39:36.000 --> 00:39:39.000
James chapter 3, verse 14.

00:39:39.000 --> 00:39:42.000
James chapter 3, verse 14.

00:39:42.000 --> 00:39:49.000
But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

00:39:49.000 --> 00:39:54.000
Such wisdom does not come down from heaven, but it is earthly, unspiritual and of the devil.

00:39:54.000 --> 00:40:01.000
For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

00:40:01.000 --> 00:40:02.000
Imagine that, eh?

00:40:02.000 --> 00:40:08.000
Confusion and every evil practice in a place where bitterness and envy combine in my life.

00:40:08.000 --> 00:40:12.000
That's a nasty one.

00:40:12.000 --> 00:40:15.000
Confusion and every evil thing.

00:40:15.000 --> 00:40:18.000
How nuts is that?

00:40:18.000 --> 00:40:25.000
Talk about holding coals to your chest and expecting not to be burned.

00:40:25.000 --> 00:40:30.000
Anger.

00:40:30.000 --> 00:40:35.000
Again, common to men and women.

00:40:35.000 --> 00:40:37.000
Christians, disguise it.

00:40:37.000 --> 00:40:41.000
There's something I've been working on for the last two weeks now.

00:40:41.000 --> 00:40:48.000
Refusing to get angry with things that are happening around me that are wrong,

00:40:49.000 --> 00:40:54.000
but refusing to react against it with anger.

00:40:54.000 --> 00:41:03.000
When someone throws something out of their car window, when someone breaks through a red light and endangers somebody else,

00:41:03.000 --> 00:41:08.000
when someone is being obnoxious, when someone is not treating me right,

00:41:08.000 --> 00:41:13.000
my first reaction should not be outrage.

00:41:13.000 --> 00:41:20.000
Even this afternoon I was driving and I saw something happening and I felt a degree of anger rising in me.

00:41:20.000 --> 00:41:24.000
And I said, come on Jacob, about time you let go of this.

00:41:24.000 --> 00:41:26.000
My first reaction should not be anger.

00:41:26.000 --> 00:41:34.000
I should be outraged by the things that are crooked, but anger is not the first reaction.

00:41:34.000 --> 00:41:39.000
Because anger is a seed for stupidity and it is a seed for the evil.

00:41:39.000 --> 00:41:41.000
It is not the first reaction.

00:41:41.000 --> 00:41:44.000
Because anger is a seed for stupidity.

00:41:44.000 --> 00:41:46.000
Yeah, really.

00:41:46.000 --> 00:41:53.000
Anger is a seed for stupidity, for contention and plunder.

00:41:53.000 --> 00:41:54.000
Plunder.

00:41:54.000 --> 00:41:57.000
Anger is a seed for stupidity and plunder.

00:41:57.000 --> 00:42:04.000
As in a man who does not have control over his spirit is like a city without walls.

00:42:04.000 --> 00:42:11.000
Anyone can come and ravage, plunder and leave.

00:42:11.000 --> 00:42:13.000
Contention and plunder.

00:42:13.000 --> 00:42:18.000
It's Proverbs 14, 17 and Proverbs 25, 28.

00:42:18.000 --> 00:42:27.000
Proverbs 14, 17 and Proverbs 25, 28.

00:42:27.000 --> 00:42:33.000
Guys, here's another one and I would suggest to you that this applies to men more than women.

00:42:33.000 --> 00:42:39.000
Mediocrity or complacency is the seed for the death of your destiny.

00:42:39.000 --> 00:42:41.000
Ugh.

00:42:41.000 --> 00:42:51.000
Mediocrity or complacency is the seed for the death of your destiny.

00:42:51.000 --> 00:43:04.000
Mediocrity or complacency is the seed for the death of your destiny.

00:43:04.000 --> 00:43:11.000
Proverbs 1, 32.

00:43:11.000 --> 00:43:17.000
For the waywardness of the simple will kill them and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

00:43:17.000 --> 00:43:19.000
Legalism.

00:43:19.000 --> 00:43:22.000
Legalism is a seed for alienation.

00:43:22.000 --> 00:43:30.000
Legalism is a seed for alienation.

00:43:30.000 --> 00:43:34.000
Alienation, A-L-I-E-N-A-T-I-O-N.

00:43:34.000 --> 00:43:35.000
Alienation.

00:43:35.000 --> 00:43:36.000
Alienation.

00:43:36.000 --> 00:43:44.000
Legalism is a seed for alienation.

00:43:44.000 --> 00:43:48.000
Alienation, A-L-I-E-N-A-T-I-O-N.

00:43:48.000 --> 00:43:51.000
And it's also the seed for dullness.

00:43:51.000 --> 00:43:53.000
Dullness and alienation.

00:43:53.000 --> 00:43:57.000
And I'll explain that.

00:43:57.000 --> 00:43:59.000
Dullness and alienation.

00:43:59.000 --> 00:44:10.000
Alienation is when even though you're walking with somebody, there's a distance or a gap.

00:44:10.000 --> 00:44:14.000
So there have been...

00:44:14.000 --> 00:44:16.000
No, he was fine.

00:44:16.000 --> 00:44:23.000
I mean, there have been situations where I've gone with people and I might be walking right next to them,

00:44:23.000 --> 00:44:32.000
but you know there's a coldness between them and me because I feel alienated from them.

00:44:32.000 --> 00:44:40.000
It's not that God alienates us, but legalism has the ability to alienate us from God

00:44:40.000 --> 00:44:48.000
simply because legalism is Christ plus something.

00:44:48.000 --> 00:44:53.000
Legalism defines Matthew 27 this way.

00:44:53.000 --> 00:44:56.000
And Jesus Christ died on the cross.

00:44:56.000 --> 00:45:03.000
And as he died, he said, it is finished, but you have to do something else to complete it.

00:45:03.000 --> 00:45:06.000
Those were his final words on the cross.

00:45:06.000 --> 00:45:07.000
Yeah.

00:45:07.000 --> 00:45:09.000
But legalism is exactly that.

00:45:09.000 --> 00:45:15.000
Legalism says Christ on the cross cried out, Father, to you I submit my spirit.

00:45:15.000 --> 00:45:18.000
It is finished and they have to do very little more.

00:45:18.000 --> 00:45:20.000
That is what legalism is.

00:45:20.000 --> 00:45:24.000
And it's puke-ish when you think of it.

00:45:24.000 --> 00:45:29.000
May I suggest to you that there is nobody here who does not have shades of legalism in your life.

00:45:29.000 --> 00:45:34.000
Nobody here.

00:45:34.000 --> 00:45:43.000
Problem is you don't see it, others see it.

00:45:43.000 --> 00:45:45.000
It's a seed for alienation.

00:45:45.000 --> 00:45:47.000
Galatians 5 versus 1 to 4.

00:45:47.000 --> 00:45:49.000
Galatians 5 versus 1 to 4.

00:45:49.000 --> 00:45:52.000
Don't worry, there are good seeds coming.

00:45:52.000 --> 00:45:59.000
Galatians 5, 1 to 4.

00:45:59.000 --> 00:46:01.000
Still feels good turning pages, man.

00:46:01.000 --> 00:46:06.000
Galatians 5 versus 1 to 4.

00:46:06.000 --> 00:46:08.000
It's for freedom that Christ is set us free.

00:46:08.000 --> 00:46:12.000
Stand firm then and do not be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

00:46:12.000 --> 00:46:16.000
I mark my words, I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised,

00:46:16.000 --> 00:46:18.000
Christ will be of no value to you at all.

00:46:18.000 --> 00:46:23.000
Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.

00:46:23.000 --> 00:46:27.000
You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ.

00:46:27.000 --> 00:46:29.000
You have fallen away from grace.

00:46:29.000 --> 00:46:33.000
Ouch.

00:46:33.000 --> 00:46:38.000
And the other thing that legalism does is it brings in dullness, dullness.

00:46:38.000 --> 00:46:45.000
As in, as God explains things, all he hears is a voice going, duh, duh, duh.

00:46:45.000 --> 00:46:53.000
Look at 2 Corinthians 3.

00:46:53.000 --> 00:47:00.000
2 Corinthians 3.

00:47:00.000 --> 00:47:05.000
Verse 14.

00:47:05.000 --> 00:47:11.000
Their minds were made dull for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read.

00:47:11.000 --> 00:47:16.000
It has not been removed because only Christ can take it away.

00:47:16.000 --> 00:47:22.000
There's a veil that covers us when our freedom is not found in everything that Christ has done.

00:47:22.000 --> 00:47:27.000
But it's what Christ has done plus something else.

00:47:27.000 --> 00:47:30.000
There's a dullness that comes in.

00:47:30.000 --> 00:47:34.000
Just be aware of it. It's the way it works.

00:47:34.000 --> 00:47:38.000
One more and then we can have questions. Or one more.

00:47:38.000 --> 00:47:43.000
Scorn, scorn, scorning, despising.

00:47:43.000 --> 00:47:46.000
Scorn or despising things is a seed for barrenness.

00:47:46.000 --> 00:47:51.000
Scorn is a seed for barrenness.

00:47:51.000 --> 00:47:58.000
Scorn or despising something is a seed for barrenness.

00:47:58.000 --> 00:48:03.000
So this is what happened to Michael, Mikael.

00:48:03.000 --> 00:48:10.000
When she saw David dancing like a fool in her words with the ark of the covenant,

00:48:10.000 --> 00:48:15.000
she scorned him and she remained barren for the rest of her life.

00:48:15.000 --> 00:48:20.000
So scorn or despising something is a seed for barrenness.

00:48:20.000 --> 00:48:23.000
And whatever you despise you will not get.

00:48:23.000 --> 00:48:26.000
Whatever you despise you will not possess.

00:48:26.000 --> 00:48:29.000
Whatever you despise you will not possess.

00:48:29.000 --> 00:48:32.000
Despise the prophetic?

00:48:32.000 --> 00:48:36.000
You will not receive much benefit from the prophetic.

00:48:36.000 --> 00:48:41.000
Despise the actuality of healing being the will of God?

00:48:41.000 --> 00:48:44.000
And it's unlikely that we will receive healing.

00:48:44.000 --> 00:48:46.000
When it happens it will be the sheer grace of God.

00:48:46.000 --> 00:48:51.000
Despise big church and you will always remain 26.

00:48:51.000 --> 00:48:55.000
Despise, whatever you despise you will not possess.

00:48:55.000 --> 00:49:00.000
Because scorn is a seed for barrenness in that area.

00:49:00.000 --> 00:49:05.000
Questions?

00:49:05.000 --> 00:49:09.000
Yeah.

00:49:09.000 --> 00:49:14.000
Nice.

00:49:14.000 --> 00:49:16.000
Yeah, good question.

00:49:16.000 --> 00:49:22.000
On one hand I'm saying that trust in God is a seed for barrenness.

00:49:22.000 --> 00:49:27.000
On one hand I'm saying that trust in God and trust in His finished work.

00:49:27.000 --> 00:49:31.000
On the other hand I'm saying work these principles.

00:49:31.000 --> 00:49:38.000
So how does it happen?

00:49:38.000 --> 00:49:41.000
Here's what we need to understand.

00:49:41.000 --> 00:49:43.000
My body is neutral.

00:49:43.000 --> 00:49:46.000
This body does not do any evil.

00:49:46.000 --> 00:49:50.000
So I go shake His hand and my body is an instrument of good.

00:49:50.000 --> 00:49:53.000
I go hit Him and my body is an instrument of bad.

00:49:53.000 --> 00:49:54.000
So my body is neutral.

00:49:54.000 --> 00:49:56.000
My spirit is perfect.

00:49:56.000 --> 00:49:57.000
God lives there.

00:49:57.000 --> 00:49:59.000
God is resident there.

00:49:59.000 --> 00:50:01.000
That's where He lives.

00:50:01.000 --> 00:50:06.000
The area that I need to work on, because the Bible says work out your salvation,

00:50:06.000 --> 00:50:14.000
as in the area that I need to transform so that more and more people recognize the Christ who lives inside is my thinking.

00:50:14.000 --> 00:50:19.000
So all these principles have to do with changing the way I think.

00:50:19.000 --> 00:50:20.000
Yeah.

00:50:20.000 --> 00:50:24.000
So it's like a baby in a womb.

00:50:24.000 --> 00:50:28.000
Neither Maryana nor Sapna have to do anything as the baby grows.

00:50:28.000 --> 00:50:34.000
But boy, a day is coming when they'll have to go through labor to push the baby out.

00:50:34.000 --> 00:50:37.000
But in terms of the actual growth of the baby, they do nothing.

00:50:37.000 --> 00:50:38.000
It happens.

00:50:38.000 --> 00:50:42.000
It's a complete work that God finished before the earth was created.

00:50:42.000 --> 00:50:46.000
Already the babies in the womb were there before creation.

00:50:46.000 --> 00:50:48.000
Everything is complete.

00:50:48.000 --> 00:50:53.000
But in the process of bringing that baby here on earth, there will be work involved.

00:50:53.000 --> 00:50:56.000
There will be work involved for both James and Sapna.

00:50:56.000 --> 00:51:03.000
I don't know how your men handle your wives when they are going through labor, man.

00:51:03.000 --> 00:51:04.000
Yeah.

00:51:04.000 --> 00:51:10.000
Let's take Jesus as an example.

00:51:10.000 --> 00:51:13.000
Jesus is 100% God and 100% man.

00:51:13.000 --> 00:51:19.000
When he functioned on earth, he functioned as a man who followed the Holy Spirit.

00:51:19.000 --> 00:51:21.000
Here's what Jesus did.

00:51:21.000 --> 00:51:24.000
He was a man who followed the Holy Spirit.

00:51:24.000 --> 00:51:27.000
He was a man who followed the Holy Spirit.

00:51:27.000 --> 00:51:32.000
When he functioned on earth, he functioned as a man who followed the Holy Spirit.

00:51:32.000 --> 00:51:35.000
Here's what the Bible says in Luke 1 about him.

00:51:35.000 --> 00:51:40.000
Luke 1, 52 or 53 says that he grew in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man.

00:51:40.000 --> 00:51:41.000
So he had to learn.

00:51:41.000 --> 00:51:46.000
Hebrews 5, 14 says he learned obedience through suffering and with tears.

00:51:46.000 --> 00:51:47.000
So he had to learn.

00:51:47.000 --> 00:51:54.000
So here is a full God-man who comes on earth and he has to learn the ways of his father.

00:51:54.000 --> 00:52:03.000
The reason we find it strenuous to learn the ways of the Father is because we fluctuate between the Father and the world.

00:52:03.000 --> 00:52:13.000
The reason Jesus didn't find it a strain to function the way his Father wanted was simply because it was his only desire.

00:52:13.000 --> 00:52:18.000
He says in John 4, it is my meat and drink to do what my Father wants.

00:52:18.000 --> 00:52:19.000
Yeah.

00:52:19.000 --> 00:52:21.000
Go ahead.

00:52:21.000 --> 00:52:28.000
So in other words, what we are doing over here is we have to be aware of all these so that the finished world is not going to waste.

00:52:28.000 --> 00:52:31.000
No, that it completes itself here on earth.

00:52:31.000 --> 00:52:35.000
So we have to be aware that when these things come in our life, we don't want to lose.

00:52:35.000 --> 00:52:36.000
Yeah.

00:52:36.000 --> 00:52:37.000
Let me give you an example.

00:52:37.000 --> 00:52:41.000
Why is it that I'm negating anger out of my life right now?

00:52:41.000 --> 00:52:47.000
Not because I will become a man of great control, because if I hadn't told you, you wouldn't even know.

00:52:47.000 --> 00:52:51.000
But because in that area, I'm finding two things.

00:52:51.000 --> 00:52:55.000
One, I'm finding that I'm completely ungod.

00:52:55.000 --> 00:53:01.000
The only difference is my finger doesn't go up and my mouth doesn't say words because I know better than that.

00:53:01.000 --> 00:53:03.000
But the anger begins to rage inside.

00:53:03.000 --> 00:53:05.000
I'm completely ungod.

00:53:05.000 --> 00:53:13.000
And two, I know that if anger persists in my life, there will be physical outcomes.

00:53:13.000 --> 00:53:16.000
So let's rule out the physical outcomes, set them aside.

00:53:16.000 --> 00:53:22.000
I want to remove anger from my life because I know that it is something that my father would thoroughly enjoy.

00:53:22.000 --> 00:53:26.000
And that about three, four weeks ago, he began to shine light on this area saying,

00:53:26.000 --> 00:53:29.000
Son, in this area, you've got a problem.

00:53:29.000 --> 00:53:32.000
And my response is, Father, I'd so like to solve this with you.

00:53:32.000 --> 00:53:35.000
No longer is it, I've got to work, I've got to work.

00:53:35.000 --> 00:53:38.000
Now it is, I've got to operate by a principle that my father has established.

00:53:38.000 --> 00:53:40.000
I'll do it joyfully.

00:53:40.000 --> 00:53:45.000
It's like, what's his name, the guy who won seven or 21 medals in the Olympics?

00:53:45.000 --> 00:53:47.000
Michael Phelps.

00:53:47.000 --> 00:53:55.000
Phelps does, Phelps actually is working out Hebrews 12 verses 1 and 2.

00:53:55.000 --> 00:54:05.000
For the joy that was set before him, he counted as nothing the training towards heading to the cross.

00:54:05.000 --> 00:54:14.000
Phelps has no problems swimming five hours a day for seven days, for years.

00:54:14.000 --> 00:54:17.000
Because he knows the joy that is set before him.

00:54:17.000 --> 00:54:20.000
What is the joy that should be set before us so that we start running there?

00:54:20.000 --> 00:54:23.000
Guys, I've seen workaholics.

00:54:23.000 --> 00:54:27.000
I'm dealing with a workaholic right now, not from Acts 29.

00:54:27.000 --> 00:54:32.000
I'm dealing with a workaholic right now who is so consumed with work that his marriage is falling apart.

00:54:32.000 --> 00:54:37.000
But his consumption with work is full of joy.

00:54:37.000 --> 00:54:43.000
He looks forward to an impossible deadline.

00:54:43.000 --> 00:54:48.000
Because if he gets an impossible deadline, Joan, do you want to change places?

00:54:48.000 --> 00:54:49.000
You're good?

00:54:49.000 --> 00:54:50.000
Okay.

00:54:50.000 --> 00:54:55.000
No, no, it's got nothing to do with you.

00:54:55.000 --> 00:54:57.000
I thought the light was too bright.

00:54:57.000 --> 00:54:58.000
That's why I thought.

00:54:58.000 --> 00:55:03.000
Yeah.

00:55:03.000 --> 00:55:07.000
So, so, yeah, workaholic.

00:55:07.000 --> 00:55:09.000
I said workaholic, not alcoholic.

00:55:09.000 --> 00:55:10.000
Yeah.

00:55:10.000 --> 00:55:16.000
So, so this guy is consumed with his work and he loves impossible deadlines because he knows now he's going to meet it.

00:55:16.000 --> 00:55:19.000
And he's consumed with it and he's making money.

00:55:19.000 --> 00:55:22.000
But he's so consumed with it, it doesn't matter.

00:55:22.000 --> 00:55:25.000
That's how we should be.

00:55:25.000 --> 00:55:28.000
Yep.

00:55:28.000 --> 00:55:34.000
Yep.

00:55:34.000 --> 00:55:36.000
Yeah.

00:55:36.000 --> 00:55:37.000
Yep.

00:55:37.000 --> 00:55:40.000
Yep.

00:55:40.000 --> 00:55:41.000
Yep.

00:55:41.000 --> 00:55:46.000
Yep.

00:55:46.000 --> 00:55:51.000
Yep.

00:55:51.000 --> 00:55:56.000
Yep.

00:55:56.000 --> 00:56:03.000
Yep.

00:56:03.000 --> 00:56:08.000
Yep.

00:56:08.000 --> 00:56:13.000
Yep.

00:56:13.000 --> 00:56:18.000
Yep.

00:56:18.000 --> 00:56:21.000
No, no.

00:56:21.000 --> 00:56:29.000
Because the reason it was called a law was because it was a question of dos and don'ts that justify.

00:56:29.000 --> 00:56:30.000
Yeah, legalism.

00:56:30.000 --> 00:56:37.000
The whole idea of legalism, which is again the law and the code of conduct that Moses had given, was based on a simple thing.

00:56:37.000 --> 00:56:39.000
Do this and you will be justified.

00:56:39.000 --> 00:56:41.000
Don't do this and you will be condemned.

00:56:41.000 --> 00:56:47.000
And the aspect of love or the aspect of fatherhood was completely missing.

00:56:47.000 --> 00:56:51.000
In the New Testament, this is not a question of dos and don'ts.

00:56:51.000 --> 00:56:53.000
This is not a question of eternal security.

00:56:53.000 --> 00:56:56.000
This is a question of becoming like Christ.

00:56:56.000 --> 00:57:01.000
And it is motivated by one thing, love and joy.

00:57:01.000 --> 00:57:08.000
The two things that were banished in the old covenant, except by the few that understood it, was joy and love.

00:57:08.000 --> 00:57:11.000
Were never the motivating factors for the law.

00:57:11.000 --> 00:57:13.000
David in this was brilliant.

00:57:13.000 --> 00:57:18.000
When you read Psalm 119, by the way, you should read it occasionally even though it's long.

00:57:18.000 --> 00:57:24.000
He says, I want to run in the path of your laws.

00:57:24.000 --> 00:57:25.000
I have great joy in it.

00:57:25.000 --> 00:57:29.000
You rarely hear that from anybody else.

00:57:29.000 --> 00:57:31.000
David got it.

00:57:31.000 --> 00:57:33.000
That's why he could revolutionize things the way he did.

00:57:33.000 --> 00:57:37.000
So that's one of the huge differences between the law and how we see things today.

00:57:37.000 --> 00:57:39.000
You want to add anything to it?

00:57:39.000 --> 00:57:41.000
Okay.

00:57:41.000 --> 00:57:50.000
The solution is recognizing God's love for me so that I can now love him back.

00:57:50.000 --> 00:57:52.000
A guy from Bangalore sent me an email.

00:57:52.000 --> 00:57:55.000
And it had just two lines in it that he felt the Lord was saying.

00:57:55.000 --> 00:57:58.000
And these two lines may seem so insignificant.

00:57:58.000 --> 00:58:02.000
But as I'm reading it, I was repeating it this morning, reminding the Lord and thanking him.

00:58:02.000 --> 00:58:05.000
He said, Jacob, there are many more nations to go to.

00:58:05.000 --> 00:58:08.000
The Father says there are many more nations to go to.

00:58:08.000 --> 00:58:12.000
And the Father says, I like you a lot.

00:58:12.000 --> 00:58:17.000
This morning when I went for the wedding, I didn't want it to become formal.

00:58:17.000 --> 00:58:20.000
I wanted people to know who I belonged to.

00:58:20.000 --> 00:58:25.000
So I spent some time talking to the Lord, saying, Father, I could be one of those official pastors doing a wedding.

00:58:25.000 --> 00:58:27.000
But I want them to know who I belong to.

00:58:27.000 --> 00:58:29.000
So I need to talk to you and get things right.

00:58:29.000 --> 00:58:31.000
So when I go there, things flow easily.

00:58:31.000 --> 00:58:36.000
One of the things I was reminding the Lord was, Father, I just want to remind you of that email.

00:58:36.000 --> 00:58:39.000
Your words, you said you liked me a lot.

00:58:39.000 --> 00:58:41.000
And so it's easy for me now to like you back.

00:58:41.000 --> 00:58:44.000
And so when I went there, it was so cool.

00:58:44.000 --> 00:58:48.000
Like I didn't feel official at all, even though I was in a suit.

00:58:48.000 --> 00:58:50.000
So scorn is a seed for barrenness.

00:58:50.000 --> 00:58:53.000
Michael scorned David.

00:58:53.000 --> 00:58:58.000
Esau. Esau scorned his birthright and never possessed it.

00:58:58.000 --> 00:59:00.000
So what you despise, you will not birth.

00:59:00.000 --> 00:59:06.000
Guys, the thing is, most of us plant many of these seeds together.

00:59:06.000 --> 00:59:12.000
And then we wonder why things are happening the way they are happening.

00:59:12.000 --> 00:59:15.000
So now let's talk about the good seeds or the seeds of good.

00:59:15.000 --> 00:59:20.000
So now let's talk about the good seeds or the seeds of life.

00:59:20.000 --> 00:59:22.000
What time is it?

00:59:22.000 --> 00:59:24.000
Seven thirty five.

00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:25.000
Wow, we're doing very well, man.

00:59:25.000 --> 00:59:28.000
We'll be out of here by eight today.

00:59:28.000 --> 00:59:30.000
Well, that would still be three hours, right?

00:59:30.000 --> 00:59:31.000
Yes.

00:59:31.000 --> 00:59:34.000
Hmm.

00:59:34.000 --> 00:59:36.000
We'll be out here before eight.

00:59:36.000 --> 00:59:39.000
That's going to be my aim right now.

00:59:39.000 --> 00:59:42.000
OK. Life seeds.

00:59:42.000 --> 00:59:45.000
I know it's funny, Sarah.

00:59:45.000 --> 00:59:50.000
Sarah, it would be much shorter if your dad didn't ask so many questions.

00:59:50.000 --> 00:59:53.000
Take a fun one.

00:59:53.000 --> 01:00:00.000
The Bible says the scorn of man does not hurt God's life.

01:00:00.000 --> 01:00:02.000
Yeah, true. Yeah.

01:00:02.000 --> 01:00:04.000
And Psalm 1 talks about it too.

01:00:04.000 --> 01:00:07.000
Life seeds. Guys, first life seed.

01:00:07.000 --> 01:00:12.000
Praise and thanks is the seed for the manifest presence of God.

01:00:12.000 --> 01:00:16.000
Praise and thanks is the seed for the manifest presence of God.

01:00:16.000 --> 01:00:22.000
And the emphasis is on the word manifest because God dwells in us as a people.

01:00:22.000 --> 01:00:26.000
So it's not that we need praise and thanks to have him appear.

01:00:26.000 --> 01:00:30.000
Because that was our old way of thinking that we have to have praise and worship

01:00:30.000 --> 01:00:33.000
so that God can inhabit our praises.

01:00:33.000 --> 01:00:34.000
That's an Old Testament pattern.

01:00:34.000 --> 01:00:37.000
Psalm 100, as I've said before, does not apply to the church.

01:00:37.000 --> 01:00:40.000
Enter his gates with thanksgiving. Enter his courts with praise.

01:00:40.000 --> 01:00:45.000
That was a protocol that was established for the people in the Old Covenant.

01:00:45.000 --> 01:00:48.000
There was a way. They couldn't come before him any other way

01:00:48.000 --> 01:00:52.000
because they were not sons yet, even though God called Israel his son.

01:00:52.000 --> 01:00:55.000
They had no concept of fatherhood.

01:00:55.000 --> 01:00:57.000
So today we don't approach that way.

01:00:57.000 --> 01:01:01.000
I mean, Sarah, Travis, they go running to their dads.

01:01:01.000 --> 01:01:03.000
There's no hallelujah praise to Lord.

01:01:03.000 --> 01:01:04.000
Hallelujah praise to Lord.

01:01:04.000 --> 01:01:08.000
Have me, Father. No. Nothing like that. Just treat.

01:01:08.000 --> 01:01:13.000
So that protocol has been... Stop laughing.

01:01:13.000 --> 01:01:16.000
Okay. Praise and thanks is the seed for his manifest presence.

01:01:16.000 --> 01:01:20.000
Meaning when my life is one that has praise and thanks in it,

01:01:20.000 --> 01:01:27.000
there's a tangible evidence of God that I recognize and people around me recognize.

01:01:27.000 --> 01:01:32.000
Today, when suddenly we broke out into the kind of praise we were engaging in,

01:01:32.000 --> 01:01:34.000
there was a tangible presence of God.

01:01:34.000 --> 01:01:38.000
None of us were focusing on Jawad or him or me.

01:01:42.000 --> 01:01:45.000
Manifest is when something makes an appearance.

01:01:45.000 --> 01:01:50.000
So there's a tangible presence of God, like when someone puts on a perfume.

01:01:50.000 --> 01:01:53.000
So you know the guy is wearing CK.

01:01:55.000 --> 01:01:59.000
He's present all the time, but now his presence becomes evident

01:02:00.000 --> 01:02:02.000
because now it's a life characterized by...

01:02:02.000 --> 01:02:06.000
Why is it that you go to some people and you immediately know their gentleness?

01:02:06.000 --> 01:02:12.000
Why is it that you go to some people and you immediately know that they have a very gentle spirit?

01:02:12.000 --> 01:02:13.000
How come?

01:02:13.000 --> 01:02:18.000
Because they've lived that for so long, that is the first thing that shows.

01:02:18.000 --> 01:02:20.000
Isn't that awesome?

01:02:20.000 --> 01:02:26.000
Isn't that awesome? You can spend two minutes with a person and you know the person has a gentle spirit.

01:02:26.000 --> 01:02:30.000
That didn't happen in a day, that happened over years, man.

01:02:35.000 --> 01:02:39.000
Seed for intimacy, very simple.

01:02:39.000 --> 01:02:44.000
Seed for intimacy, genuine, consistent pursuit is the seed for intimacy.

01:02:44.000 --> 01:02:48.000
Genuine, consistent pursuit is the seed for intimacy.

01:02:48.000 --> 01:02:52.000
Genuine, consistent pursuit is the seed for intimacy.

01:02:57.000 --> 01:02:59.000
It's brilliant, man.

01:02:59.000 --> 01:03:01.000
Genuine, that's easy.

01:03:01.000 --> 01:03:04.000
Consistent, that's the problem.

01:03:04.000 --> 01:03:12.000
I can be genuine every fourth day, but genuine consistent pursuit is the seed for intimacy.

01:03:19.000 --> 01:03:24.000
May you be in love with your wife every day.

01:03:25.000 --> 01:03:29.000
Consistent pursuit of her.

01:03:33.000 --> 01:03:36.000
That we'll talk about tomorrow.

01:03:36.000 --> 01:03:39.000
This is the one that this church is very used to.

01:03:39.000 --> 01:03:42.000
What is the seed for revelation?

01:03:42.000 --> 01:03:45.000
What is the seed for revelation?

01:03:45.000 --> 01:03:48.000
Maybe I shouldn't have said it in such haste.

01:03:54.000 --> 01:03:55.000
Mind change.

01:03:55.000 --> 01:03:59.000
A change of mindset is the seed for revelation.

01:03:59.000 --> 01:04:05.000
God only reveals things when we are willing to change our wine skins.

01:04:05.000 --> 01:04:09.000
New wine is poured into new wine skins.

01:04:10.000 --> 01:04:12.000
Who wrote Mark Su?

01:04:15.000 --> 01:04:20.000
New wine is poured into new wine skins.

01:04:20.000 --> 01:04:24.000
Therefore an old wine skin has to be changed.

01:04:24.000 --> 01:04:31.000
A change of mind is an absolute necessity for new things from God.

01:04:38.000 --> 01:04:43.000
Yes, in the context that he is probably speaking to the Pharisees in Luke 9,

01:04:43.000 --> 01:04:48.000
it is that we cannot, he's saying you can't take a new cloth and put it on an old it tears.

01:04:48.000 --> 01:04:53.000
You've got to change your thinking before the truths that I'm saying to you can come into your life.

01:04:53.000 --> 01:04:56.000
And the Pharisees were saying, no, Moses told us this.

01:04:56.000 --> 01:04:59.000
Do you say that you're greater than Moses?

01:04:59.000 --> 01:05:01.000
That's what the question was.

01:05:01.000 --> 01:05:05.000
So a change of thinking is what brings a new revelation.

01:05:05.000 --> 01:05:11.000
Simply and yet if I don't change my thinking there is nothing new.

01:05:11.000 --> 01:05:13.000
Go ahead.

01:05:18.000 --> 01:05:22.000
I'm just saying that repentance, which I just looked it up,

01:05:22.000 --> 01:05:24.000
is the word called metanoia.

01:05:24.000 --> 01:05:27.000
Yeah, even I know that.

01:05:27.000 --> 01:05:31.000
Why does everyone pick on it?

01:05:31.000 --> 01:05:37.000
Change of mind, what I was looking at, meaning of the world beyond your understanding.

01:05:37.000 --> 01:05:38.000
Great.

01:05:38.000 --> 01:05:41.000
Whatever you comprehend, it's beyond that.

01:05:41.000 --> 01:05:42.000
Absolutely.

01:05:42.000 --> 01:05:48.000
I mean, most of the new truths will, I mean, trust me, new wine blows your mind.

01:05:48.000 --> 01:05:54.000
There's a shop when you drive up to Shillong from Calcutta, there's a shop that sells wine.

01:05:54.000 --> 01:05:56.000
And I've taken a picture of it.

01:05:56.000 --> 01:06:00.000
And the name of the liquor shop is Mind Blowing Wine.

01:06:00.000 --> 01:06:02.000
That's the name of the shop.

01:06:02.000 --> 01:06:03.000
Mind Blowing Wine.

01:06:03.000 --> 01:06:04.000
And it is true.

01:06:04.000 --> 01:06:10.000
New wine will blow our thinking because it goes beyond what we can comprehend.

01:06:10.000 --> 01:06:11.000
Yeah.

01:06:11.000 --> 01:06:15.000
Change of mind and purity.

01:06:15.000 --> 01:06:19.000
Change of mind and purity.

01:06:19.000 --> 01:06:20.000
Explain some more.

01:06:20.000 --> 01:06:21.000
Why do you think?

01:06:21.000 --> 01:06:22.000
Okay.

01:06:22.000 --> 01:06:27.000
Any relation.

01:06:27.000 --> 01:06:28.000
I would put it this way.

01:06:28.000 --> 01:06:31.000
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

01:06:31.000 --> 01:06:39.000
So in that sense, yes, purity allows me, purity is a proof that I'm intimate with God and I will see things of God.

01:06:39.000 --> 01:06:41.000
But at the end of the day, one can be pure.

01:06:41.000 --> 01:06:49.000
I've met people who are super pure, but super pure but not willing to change.

01:06:49.000 --> 01:06:51.000
And that's a tough one, eh?

01:06:51.000 --> 01:06:52.000
So you have people who are super pure.

01:06:52.000 --> 01:06:54.000
Their lives are very pure.

01:06:54.000 --> 01:06:57.000
And they'll put us to shame because their lives are very pure.

01:06:57.000 --> 01:07:02.000
And they'll have visions from God that will show them what they need to do.

01:07:02.000 --> 01:07:09.000
But in terms of actually, what do you call this movement?

01:07:09.000 --> 01:07:11.000
Actually advancing.

01:07:11.000 --> 01:07:22.000
Actually advancing the things of God, God will not be able to use them simply because they do not want to change the way of thinking.

01:07:22.000 --> 01:07:24.000
So for them applies the scripture.

01:07:24.000 --> 01:07:27.000
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

01:07:27.000 --> 01:07:30.000
And they shall see God here on earth and see God in heaven.

01:07:30.000 --> 01:07:36.000
But they won't be able to advance the purposes of God.

01:07:36.000 --> 01:07:40.000
So they will see the Christ child being born and then they'll die.

01:07:40.000 --> 01:07:42.000
Like Anna.

01:07:51.000 --> 01:07:56.000
Absolutely. Absolutely. Absolutely.

01:07:56.000 --> 01:08:00.000
Is it possible to be pure and yet not have a change of mind?

01:08:00.000 --> 01:08:02.000
And I'm saying yes.

01:08:02.000 --> 01:08:04.000
I've met too many people like that.

01:08:04.000 --> 01:08:06.000
Really pure people, man.

01:08:06.000 --> 01:08:14.000
But not willing to change this because what they received from Noah, they still hold on to.

01:08:14.000 --> 01:08:17.000
Would you say that John the Baptist was pure?

01:08:17.000 --> 01:08:19.000
Jesus said about John the Baptist,

01:08:19.000 --> 01:08:22.000
There is no man greater than this man.

01:08:22.000 --> 01:08:25.000
And yet, John the Baptist, as pure as he was.

01:08:25.000 --> 01:08:29.000
I mean he was so unworldly that he was eating locusts.

01:08:29.000 --> 01:08:32.000
I mean, yeah.

01:08:32.000 --> 01:08:36.000
And Jesus said, John said, I can't even untie your shoes.

01:08:36.000 --> 01:08:38.000
And Jesus called him the greatest man.

01:08:38.000 --> 01:08:44.000
And yet this very man who Jesus said is the greatest did not transition or change in his thinking.

01:08:44.000 --> 01:08:47.000
Continued to have his own disciples.

01:08:47.000 --> 01:08:51.000
After six months sent word to Jesus saying,

01:08:51.000 --> 01:08:55.000
Are you the real deal or should we wait for another Messiah?

01:08:55.000 --> 01:08:57.000
A man who is pure, who did not change his mind.

01:08:57.000 --> 01:08:59.000
And he was one of the greatest men who lived.

01:08:59.000 --> 01:09:06.000
And the Lord Jesus said, even though he was the greatest man born of all,

01:09:06.000 --> 01:09:12.000
But the smallest one in the kingdom of God is greater than him.

01:09:12.000 --> 01:09:13.000
Yeah. Yeah.

01:09:13.000 --> 01:09:15.000
Which was the second part of what he said.

01:09:15.000 --> 01:09:19.000
But what we're focusing now on is the fact that John being the greatest man

01:09:19.000 --> 01:09:21.000
and a pure life still wasn't willing to change.

01:09:21.000 --> 01:09:23.000
And there are many like that.

01:09:23.000 --> 01:09:31.000
Our minds have to change so that we have the mind of Christ.

01:09:31.000 --> 01:09:35.000
Yep. Yep.

01:09:35.000 --> 01:09:39.000
Guys, once a change of mind is a seed for revelation,

01:09:39.000 --> 01:09:42.000
now what happens is revelation gives you the seed.

01:09:42.000 --> 01:09:45.000
Revelation is the seed for accessing the kingdom.

01:09:45.000 --> 01:09:46.000
And I'll explain that.

01:09:46.000 --> 01:09:51.000
Revelation is the seed for accessing the kingdom.

01:09:51.000 --> 01:09:55.000
Revelation is the seed for accessing things of the kingdom.

01:09:55.000 --> 01:09:58.000
What I mean by that is here's Peter.

01:09:58.000 --> 01:10:00.000
And Peter is asked a simple question.

01:10:00.000 --> 01:10:04.000
Who do you, Jesus asks his disciples questions.

01:10:04.000 --> 01:10:06.000
He says, Who do you think I am?

01:10:06.000 --> 01:10:07.000
Everybody answers.

01:10:07.000 --> 01:10:09.000
Peter says, You are Jesus Christ, the son of the living God.

01:10:09.000 --> 01:10:12.000
And Jesus says, This revelation did not come to you from flesh,

01:10:12.000 --> 01:10:14.000
but it came to you from my father.

01:10:14.000 --> 01:10:18.000
And then he says to you, On this rock I will build my church.

01:10:18.000 --> 01:10:21.000
And he says, Peter, I give you the keys of the kingdom.

01:10:21.000 --> 01:10:22.000
What does that mean?

01:10:22.000 --> 01:10:25.000
That Peter has the ability now to access things of the kingdom,

01:10:25.000 --> 01:10:28.000
to make things of the kingdom available.

01:10:28.000 --> 01:10:34.000
So when revelation comes, it gives you the key to open other shelves,

01:10:34.000 --> 01:10:40.000
other cupboards, other rooms that God has with stuff for you

01:10:40.000 --> 01:10:44.000
that would not be able to be accessed except for the fact

01:10:44.000 --> 01:10:57.000
that you are willing to continuously change the way you think.

01:10:57.000 --> 01:11:03.000
Let me give you another example.

01:11:03.000 --> 01:11:06.000
As you get to know someone well,

01:11:06.000 --> 01:11:10.000
you will find that they trust you more and more with the things in their house

01:11:10.000 --> 01:11:15.000
because you have a greater revelation of who they are.

01:11:15.000 --> 01:11:18.000
As you come into a greater revelation of God and his ways,

01:11:18.000 --> 01:11:21.000
he will trust you with more and more keys in his house

01:11:21.000 --> 01:11:24.000
which you can keep opening to find new things.

01:11:24.000 --> 01:11:28.000
But if you don't come into a place where you are willing to change

01:11:28.000 --> 01:11:33.000
your mindset about something, you will not be able to get those keys.

01:11:33.000 --> 01:11:41.000
No.

01:11:41.000 --> 01:11:44.000
Changing of the mind is the ability...

01:11:44.000 --> 01:11:45.000
Very simple.

01:11:45.000 --> 01:11:49.000
I'll go back to that simple illustration I always give.

01:11:49.000 --> 01:11:51.000
They asked Noah, what should we do to be saved?

01:11:51.000 --> 01:11:54.000
And Noah said, come into the boat.

01:11:54.000 --> 01:11:56.000
They asked Moses, what shall we do to be saved?

01:11:56.000 --> 01:11:58.000
And Moses said, follow the Ten Commandments.

01:11:58.000 --> 01:12:00.000
They asked John the Baptist, what shall I do to be saved?

01:12:00.000 --> 01:12:03.000
And John the Baptist said, repent for the kingdom of God is near.

01:12:03.000 --> 01:12:05.000
They asked Jesus, what shall I do to be saved?

01:12:05.000 --> 01:12:08.000
And Jesus said, repent for the kingdom of God is here.

01:12:08.000 --> 01:12:10.000
They asked Paul, what shall I do to be saved?

01:12:10.000 --> 01:12:13.000
And Paul said, not by words but by faith.

01:12:13.000 --> 01:12:15.000
Same question, six, seven different answers.

01:12:15.000 --> 01:12:18.000
Each time the flower opens a little more.

01:12:18.000 --> 01:12:20.000
The flower opens a little more.

01:12:20.000 --> 01:12:25.000
What happens is sometimes because we heard Noah say, come into the boat,

01:12:25.000 --> 01:12:28.000
God is now saying, repent for the kingdom of God is here

01:12:28.000 --> 01:12:31.000
and you're saying, can't be because Noah said step into a boat.

01:12:31.000 --> 01:12:35.000
That's what is called a refusal to change my mind.

01:12:35.000 --> 01:12:39.000
Because I have grown up in a certain denomination, certain tradition,

01:12:39.000 --> 01:12:41.000
because my grandfather told me this,

01:12:41.000 --> 01:12:43.000
because this is what I learned in Bible college

01:12:43.000 --> 01:12:45.000
and I spent $20,000 doing that

01:12:45.000 --> 01:12:49.000
and now you expect me to give up all that because you are bringing a new truth?

01:12:49.000 --> 01:12:50.000
No way.

01:12:50.000 --> 01:12:52.000
Stick on to hold on to Noah.

01:12:55.000 --> 01:12:57.000
You don't do that.

01:12:57.000 --> 01:13:00.000
Fruitfulness, sacrifice is the seed for fruitfulness.

01:13:00.000 --> 01:13:02.000
Want to be fruitful?

01:13:02.000 --> 01:13:06.000
In the area that you want to be fruitful, die.

01:13:08.000 --> 01:13:10.000
I'll explain it.

01:13:10.000 --> 01:13:13.000
Sacrifice is the seed for fruitfulness.

01:13:13.000 --> 01:13:19.000
John 12, 24, unless a seed falls to the ground and dies,

01:13:19.000 --> 01:13:21.000
it cannot bear fruit.

01:13:21.000 --> 01:13:22.000
Just think of this.

01:13:22.000 --> 01:13:24.000
What happens when you die to Mammon?

01:13:24.000 --> 01:13:26.000
It releases wealth.

01:13:26.000 --> 01:13:28.000
What happens when you die to ambition?

01:13:28.000 --> 01:13:30.000
It releases your true destiny.

01:13:30.000 --> 01:13:33.000
What happens when you die to control?

01:13:33.000 --> 01:13:35.000
It releases freedom.

01:13:35.000 --> 01:13:38.000
What happens when you die to self-preservation?

01:13:38.000 --> 01:13:40.000
It releases fruitfulness.

01:13:40.000 --> 01:13:42.000
What happens when you die to superstition?

01:13:42.000 --> 01:13:44.000
It releases self-restraint.

01:13:44.000 --> 01:13:46.000
It releaseselfishness.

01:13:46.000 --> 01:13:48.000
It releases guesswork.

01:13:48.000 --> 01:13:53.920
preservation. It releases fruitfulness. What happens when you die to covetousness?

01:13:53.920 --> 01:13:59.320
It releases plenty. I can go on and on and on. Let me repeat that again. What

01:13:59.320 --> 01:14:07.040
happens when you die to mammon? Meaning money. It releases wealth. What happens

01:14:07.040 --> 01:14:13.560
when you die to ambition? It releases your destiny. You know we are holding on to our

01:14:13.560 --> 01:14:16.760
ambition saying I want to be this, I want to be that. Nothing wrong with that. But

01:14:16.760 --> 01:14:24.920
when you release ambition, God's plans begin to take over. What happens when you

01:14:24.920 --> 01:14:33.880
die to control? Do we want our ducks lined up in a row? Every time travel time

01:14:33.880 --> 01:14:42.680
comes, I can see it coming up man. I've got to have all my ducks lined up. When

01:14:42.680 --> 01:14:50.000
you die to control, you release freedom. When you die to self

01:14:50.000 --> 01:14:59.600
preservation, you release fruitfulness. So sacrifices the seed for fruitfulness.

01:14:59.600 --> 01:15:04.720
This is why I said in the beginning, guys examine your situation, determine the

01:15:04.720 --> 01:15:06.920
seed.

01:15:12.680 --> 01:15:23.120
What time is it? So the accurate response would be, doesn't matter Jacob.

01:15:29.200 --> 01:15:35.280
Righteousness is the seed for deliverance. Righteousness, hey Matt can you

01:15:35.280 --> 01:15:41.840
grab me half a cup of coffee please. Yeah, righteousness is the seed for

01:15:41.840 --> 01:15:50.000
deliverance and favor. Righteousness is the seed for deliverance and favor. Guys

01:15:50.000 --> 01:16:00.400
when there are demonic problems, you can deliver people but their deliverance can

01:16:00.400 --> 01:16:06.680
be continuous when they begin to walk in right ways of God, right standing with

01:16:06.680 --> 01:16:10.960
God. Righteousness is the seed for, just half is good Matt, righteousness is the

01:16:10.960 --> 01:16:15.640
seed for deliverance. Righteousness is the seed for deliverance and a favor.

01:16:15.640 --> 01:16:22.640
Thanks Matt. Just righteousness is the seed for, righteousness is the seed for

01:16:22.640 --> 01:16:28.880
deliverance and favor. Turn to Psalm 34 19. Psalm 34 19. Hey tons of scripture

01:16:28.880 --> 01:16:31.840
there that you can go and examine at home because most scriptures correspond

01:16:31.840 --> 01:16:38.400
to almost everything I've read here. I haven't read all of them out. Psalm 34 19.

01:16:40.960 --> 01:16:45.960
A righteous man may have many troubles but the Lord delivers him from them all.

01:16:45.960 --> 01:16:58.320
Hosea 10 12. Hosea 10 12. Hosea 10 12. So for yourself righteousness reap the fruit

01:16:58.320 --> 01:17:03.360
of unfailing love or favor. Break up your unclouded ground for it is time to seek

01:17:03.360 --> 01:17:07.400
the Lord until he comes and showers righteousness on you. So for yourself

01:17:07.560 --> 01:17:12.560
righteousness and you will reap the fruit of unfailing love. Meaning

01:17:12.560 --> 01:17:17.200
righteousness is the seed for deliverance and for favor. Righteousness is

01:17:17.200 --> 01:17:22.080
the seed for deliverance and favor. Nothing like walking a right way. Jesus

01:17:22.080 --> 01:17:27.240
used to love this. He grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man

01:17:27.240 --> 01:17:31.280
because he walked ways that were righteous. Why did he walk ways that were

01:17:31.280 --> 01:17:35.680
righteous? Because he was in love with his righteous father. I love the song

01:17:35.680 --> 01:17:41.960
that the guys in Bahrain wrote. They wrote for we are holy for the holy one

01:17:41.960 --> 01:17:46.240
is in us. We are righteous for the righteous one is in us. And so it becomes

01:17:46.240 --> 01:17:50.440
natural then for a people who follow this God to walk that way. This is why

01:17:50.440 --> 01:17:56.440
God says be ye perfect for I am. Perfect. Boy what a standard he sets. And then

01:17:56.440 --> 01:18:00.800
when he said but that's not impossible he says but I'm living in you. So let's

01:18:00.800 --> 01:18:10.540
work towards it. Dependence is the seed for safety. Dependence is the seed for

01:18:10.540 --> 01:18:17.280
safety and strength actually. Dependence is the seed for safety and strength.

01:18:17.280 --> 01:18:26.240
Dependence is the seed for safety and strength. Ironically we think that a sign

01:18:26.240 --> 01:18:31.600
of strength is independence. While the Bible says dependence is a seed for

01:18:31.600 --> 01:18:36.080
strength and safety. Ecclesiastes 4, 11 and 12. A man who walks alone will be

01:18:36.080 --> 01:18:40.400
cold. Two people who walk together will be warm. A three-fold card cannot be

01:18:40.400 --> 01:18:46.560
broken. The safety in that man.

01:18:47.120 --> 01:18:51.320
Ecclesiastes 4, 11 and 12.

01:18:56.240 --> 01:19:10.200
I love the next one. Acts 29. Get this one for your life. Managing what

01:19:10.200 --> 01:19:17.120
God places in your charge is the seed for dominion or rule. Managing what God

01:19:17.120 --> 01:19:25.800
places in your charge is the seed for dominion or for ruling. Managing what God

01:19:25.880 --> 01:19:36.120
places in your charge is the seed for dominion or for ruling. Managing what God

01:19:36.120 --> 01:19:42.200
places in your charge is the seed for dominion. Matthew 25 verse 14. And he gave

01:19:42.200 --> 01:19:45.960
talents to different people. He gave some five, he gave some two, he gave some one.

01:19:45.960 --> 01:19:49.600
The guys with the five came back and said we took the five, we multiplied it.

01:19:49.600 --> 01:19:53.320
Well done good and faithful servant. Come into the joy of the Lord. You will now be

01:19:53.320 --> 01:19:59.400
charged placed over ten cities. The point being when you manage what

01:19:59.400 --> 01:20:04.480
you presently have faithfully and you discharge it well, know that you will be

01:20:04.480 --> 01:20:10.000
given more to rule over. It might be a difficult charge that you have but do it

01:20:10.000 --> 01:20:21.800
well guys and you will be given more. If I discharge my responsibility as the set

01:20:21.800 --> 01:20:28.400
man in this house well then more will be given to me and if I don't then normally

01:20:28.400 --> 01:20:38.480
will what I have be taken away. Yeah we won't go there. The principle for

01:20:38.480 --> 01:20:44.800
dominion, the seed for dominion or rule is be faithful over what you have to be.

01:20:44.800 --> 01:21:01.360
Your children will benefit man. What's the seed for promotion? What's the seed

01:21:01.360 --> 01:21:07.320
for promotion? Humility is the seed for promotion. Hey by the way promotion is

01:21:07.320 --> 01:21:13.640
God's way of advancing his children in the system of the world. Promotion is

01:21:13.640 --> 01:21:19.880
God's way of advancing his kids in the systems of the world. You should see how

01:21:19.880 --> 01:21:25.400
God promotes. Say Mordecai is a guy who sits at the gate and suddenly he becomes

01:21:25.400 --> 01:21:30.320
the one who is honored. Joseph is a prisoner, suddenly he becomes Prime

01:21:30.320 --> 01:21:39.120
Minister. Moses is a refugee, suddenly he becomes deliverer. God is looking for

01:21:39.120 --> 01:21:44.560
people who won't be affected by positions so humility is the seed for

01:21:44.560 --> 01:21:49.840
promotion. Humility is the seed for promotion. In every area not at work even

01:21:49.840 --> 01:21:54.080
when you get something. I think I told you I started getting favors when I was

01:21:54.080 --> 01:21:58.440
traveling and at one point when I didn't get the treatment that I thought I

01:21:58.440 --> 01:22:03.280
deserved I became pretty obnoxious in my behavior man. It was like how come you're

01:22:03.280 --> 01:22:07.560
not giving me what I deserve and I've heard the Lord saying you didn't earn it

01:22:07.560 --> 01:22:14.040
I just gave it to you so why are you acting like this? It is a perk that I got

01:22:14.040 --> 01:22:17.960
and so I step into this perk and then when the ones who are supposed to serve

01:22:17.960 --> 01:22:24.840
me don't serve me I started demanding things of them. Humility is the seed for

01:22:24.840 --> 01:22:35.720
promotion. Humility is the seed for promotion. I love this next one.

01:22:36.400 --> 01:22:45.680
Gentleness is the seed for incisive influence. Gentleness is the seed for

01:22:45.680 --> 01:22:52.840
incisive influence. I'll explain it. Gentleness is the seed for incisive

01:22:52.840 --> 01:22:59.440
influence. Guys use gentleness in every situation and you'll make much further

01:22:59.440 --> 01:23:04.920
inroad than if you come with any other attitude. For the single guys here

01:23:04.920 --> 01:23:09.960
remember gentleness makes a man more attractive.

01:23:12.920 --> 01:23:18.800
Gentleness is only Matt and me so it doesn't help much. Orion too. Gentleness

01:23:18.800 --> 01:23:31.560
makes a man more attractive. Gentleness is a seed for incisive influence. Gentle

01:23:31.560 --> 01:23:38.480
answer turns away wrath. So work on it guys. In any situation when you come in

01:23:38.480 --> 01:23:43.880
gently this is why he talks about your Savior very differently. Behold he comes

01:23:43.880 --> 01:23:53.320
riding on a donkey. Me can gentle. Doesn't matter that Jerusalem is a

01:23:53.320 --> 01:23:58.560
rebellious city. He comes in riding on a fall of a donkey like James was singing.

01:23:58.560 --> 01:24:03.080
He comes with gentleness. It has incisive influence like nothing else can

01:24:03.080 --> 01:24:09.200
influence. All the chest beating and the loud voice and the forcefulness that

01:24:09.200 --> 01:24:12.880
some of us have will get us a certain way but at the end of the day come with

01:24:12.880 --> 01:24:17.720
a gentle spirit and you'll be a prince and how incisive it is. This is why you

01:24:17.720 --> 01:24:21.720
will find that when Eddie works with people they don't even know that he's

01:24:21.720 --> 01:24:30.080
actually taken their liver out. I mean he operates with a scowtow man. By the

01:24:30.080 --> 01:24:33.800
time he's done you'll still think he's talking and you've just haven't realized

01:24:33.800 --> 01:24:38.120
that he's taken your liver out. Very different from some other people I know

01:24:38.120 --> 01:24:46.280
who by the time you take the liver out they're a bleeding mess. So be gentle.

01:24:46.280 --> 01:24:49.040
Be gentle.

01:24:55.520 --> 01:24:59.360
This one used to your advantage. We got three or four more to go and then we're

01:24:59.360 --> 01:25:06.440
done. Gifts are the seed for greater room or access. Gifts are the seed for

01:25:06.440 --> 01:25:13.080
greater room or access. By the way when we talked about gentleness Proverbs 15

01:25:13.080 --> 01:25:18.880
1 talks about it. 1st Peter 3 15 talks about it. Deuteronomy 32 2 in 2010 I

01:25:18.880 --> 01:25:24.240
remember on January 1st the Lord saying Jacob may your words be like dew that is

01:25:24.240 --> 01:25:30.280
gentle on the ground. I forgot it halfway through the year but that is something

01:25:30.280 --> 01:25:35.440
I remember him saying. Gifts are the seed for greater room or access. Proverbs

01:25:35.440 --> 01:25:40.120
18 16. Guys whatever your gifting is I'm not talking about spiritual gifts. Any

01:25:40.120 --> 01:25:44.160
gift that you know you possess that you're good at it'll create room for you.

01:25:44.160 --> 01:25:50.600
It says gifts will bring you before kings. Both your spiritual and your

01:25:50.600 --> 01:25:55.240
normal gifts. It'll bring you before kings. Meaning it'll create a pathway for

01:25:55.240 --> 01:26:01.360
you. It'll open access. Is the prophetic your gifting? Use it as God directs and

01:26:01.600 --> 01:26:09.360
it creates room for you. Is cooking your gifting? Use it. You have no idea how many

01:26:09.360 --> 01:26:14.800
people have the names to say it in a very evangelistic way. Have the names

01:26:14.800 --> 01:26:24.000
written in the book of life because of her cooking. It creates room. Doesn't

01:26:24.000 --> 01:26:29.200
matter what it is. Use it. Proverbs 18 16 I think it puts it this way.

01:26:31.360 --> 01:26:39.520
A gift opens a way for the giver and ushers them into the presence of the

01:26:39.520 --> 01:26:50.720
great. Simple simple simple. A gift opens a way for the giver. Whatever your

01:26:50.720 --> 01:26:55.440
spiritual gifts are. Yes they're meant to edify the body but use them whenever

01:26:55.440 --> 01:26:58.360
God directs you out in the world too because you have no idea what it'll open.

01:26:58.360 --> 01:27:02.240
I have told you stories upon stories of how the prophetic has opened up the

01:27:02.240 --> 01:27:16.480
lives of kings. So use it. If you want to inherit everything God has for you the

01:27:16.480 --> 01:27:24.560
gift for the seed for inheritance is zeal or holy violence as Wayne was saying

01:27:24.560 --> 01:27:31.240
when he was praying for me. Zeal or holy violence accomplishes everything God has

01:27:31.240 --> 01:27:38.760
for you. Zeal or holy violence and what did we say holy violence comprises?

01:27:38.760 --> 01:27:46.760
Someone from last week's notes. What's holy violence? What are the three

01:27:46.760 --> 01:27:51.800
components of holy violence? I think it's important for Acts 29 to get this so

01:27:51.800 --> 01:27:55.080
deep into your psyche that if I wake you up in the middle of the night you'll be

01:27:55.080 --> 01:28:00.440
able to tell me. What constitutes holy violence? There were three things.

01:28:00.440 --> 01:28:10.200
One was a Greek word and there were two other things with it. What are the other two?

01:28:10.200 --> 01:28:15.000
Can someone look at their old notes?

01:28:15.000 --> 01:28:26.760
Okay so the first one is the first one the first ingredient of holy violence is

01:28:26.760 --> 01:28:39.280
passionate determination. Second, knowledge. Third, being deeply agape and I'll just

01:28:39.280 --> 01:28:47.360
touch on this again so that you and I don't forget these. Zeal or holy violence

01:28:47.360 --> 01:28:51.440
is made up of a passionate determination meaning there's this passion in you

01:28:51.440 --> 01:28:56.340
saying I'm determined I'm passionate about this determination of mine as I

01:28:56.340 --> 01:29:00.440
press forward to what God has later hold on me for. The second one is knowledge.

01:29:00.440 --> 01:29:08.440
It's not huh. The second one is knowledge. Knowledge is vital for zeal because

01:29:08.440 --> 01:29:12.520
otherwise Proverbs 19 one says that zeal without knowledge is like a misguided

01:29:12.520 --> 01:29:17.440
missile. It doesn't say that but that's what it means. Knowledge without zeal is

01:29:17.440 --> 01:29:22.160
dangerous that's what it says. So you have to have knowledge. Knowledge of what?

01:29:22.160 --> 01:29:29.520
Knowledge of the truths of God so that your zeal is not misguided. Your zeal has

01:29:29.520 --> 01:29:33.380
to be based in the true knowledge of God and finally it has to come from this

01:29:33.380 --> 01:29:38.860
place of being deeply agape by God meaning you have to be so aware that the

01:29:38.860 --> 01:29:44.900
reason I am able to fuel myself in holy violence is because I am deeply loved by

01:29:44.900 --> 01:29:49.140
God and it's out of that that it function. Otherwise what will happen is you will

01:29:49.140 --> 01:29:56.500
end up being the two sons of not Sceva John and James the sons of Zebedee. You

01:29:56.500 --> 01:30:00.460
become the two sons of Zebedee who were so consumed with zeal that they said

01:30:00.460 --> 01:30:08.100
shall we bring down fire on Chris's head and Shantel's head? Sons of Thunder and so

01:30:08.100 --> 01:30:17.580
Jesus responded saying I don't know what kind of spirit you guys are and trust me

01:30:17.580 --> 01:30:21.220
the reason they said shall we call down fire is because they actually thought

01:30:21.220 --> 01:30:29.020
they could because they knew Elijah had. So it wasn't a empty boast. There was

01:30:29.020 --> 01:30:33.340
insufficient faith but remember whenever you call down fire wear an asbestos suit.

01:30:33.340 --> 01:30:42.660
So zeal or holy violence is a seed for inheritance. Turn to numbers 25. Numbers

01:30:42.660 --> 01:30:48.220
25. I don't recommend this at all but it's just to prove a point. Get the moral

01:30:48.220 --> 01:30:58.740
of the story not the action of the story. Numbers 25 verse 10 to 13. So what time

01:30:58.740 --> 01:31:16.820
is it? Sorry. Shoot. Okay let's 10 to 13. Numbers 25 10 to 13. Okay the Lord said

01:31:16.820 --> 01:31:21.900
to Moses, Fenehas the son of Eliezer the son of Aaron the priest has turned my

01:31:21.900 --> 01:31:25.500
anger away from the Israelites for he was as zealous as I am for my honor

01:31:25.500 --> 01:31:29.820
among them so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them therefore tell him

01:31:29.820 --> 01:31:32.980
I'm making my covenant of peace with him he and his descendants will have a

01:31:32.980 --> 01:31:37.180
covenant of a lasting priesthood because he was zealous for the honor of God and

01:31:37.180 --> 01:31:40.860
made atonement for the Israelites. What did Fenehas do? He took a javelin and

01:31:40.860 --> 01:31:48.740
drove it through Cosby and through the woman who he was concerned with. Zimri and

01:31:48.740 --> 01:31:53.260
Cosby he drove a javelin through them because he felt that they were

01:31:53.260 --> 01:31:56.780
dishonoring the name of God. The point is not to drive javelins through people

01:31:56.780 --> 01:32:02.780
in fact anytime someone throws a javelin at you what's your ministry? Duck. Yeah.

01:32:02.780 --> 01:32:08.620
So ducking ministry. Yeah and you don't throw javelins back. So the point being

01:32:08.620 --> 01:32:16.180
be consumed with these three things. Moving on. Honor. Honor is a seed for

01:32:16.180 --> 01:32:21.780
grace guys. Honor is the seed for grace. I love this one. I practiced it. I've seen

01:32:21.780 --> 01:32:27.100
tremendous benefits from it and so have some of you. Honor is the seed for grace.

01:32:27.100 --> 01:32:39.100
If you want grace poured into your life honor the source of grace. If you want to

01:32:39.100 --> 01:32:47.220
learn how to make rouladen or apple pie honor the grace of cooking in her and

01:32:47.860 --> 01:32:56.140
you will then begin to get from her not just a recipe but the ability to make it.

01:32:56.140 --> 01:33:03.420
What happens is we want the recipe. I promise you you can give me any recipe

01:33:03.420 --> 01:33:10.820
you have and it won't taste the same. Because I know you're spoiling my

01:33:10.820 --> 01:33:14.280
analogy. I know you asked the Lord to bless you and it's a lot that blesses

01:33:14.280 --> 01:33:17.840
you cooking. I know that and I know you'll give honor to God but I'm using

01:33:17.840 --> 01:33:23.360
you for a different reason. Yeah so you can get the recipe and chili but if you

01:33:23.360 --> 01:33:28.880
honor her now you get the way she prays for it you get the taste too. It's the

01:33:28.880 --> 01:33:33.800
same principle guys. Honor grace and it will flow into your life. The Shunammite

01:33:33.800 --> 01:33:37.360
woman honored Elisha.

01:33:37.360 --> 01:33:52.240
Ruth and Naomi. Ruth honored Naomi. The Shunammite woman honored Elisha. Sons are

01:33:52.240 --> 01:33:59.240
told to honor their parents. When you honor the grace in somebody's life it

01:33:59.240 --> 01:34:03.920
begins to flow into your life. What you honor and celebrate you will receive.

01:34:03.920 --> 01:34:11.920
What you honor and celebrate you will receive. So if you honor the grace in my

01:34:11.920 --> 01:34:18.860
life you will receive it. If you don't honor the grace in my life you

01:34:18.860 --> 01:34:25.720
will get sermons but you will never receive the grace in my life. Big

01:34:25.720 --> 01:34:34.840
difference. Okay which brings us to the next question. How do we honor? How do we

01:34:34.840 --> 01:34:39.720
honor? If you want to honor Wayne for his skills at building how

01:34:39.720 --> 01:34:45.200
will you honor him? You learn under. What else?

01:34:45.200 --> 01:35:04.200
Yeah what else? You thank him? Yeah you praise him, you thank him, you learn under him but you also honor him with? No no no this is not paying. He may want to do it free but if I want to receive what is in his life I'll have to honor him with?

01:35:04.200 --> 01:35:13.200
Find it throughout the Bible man. Start it with Abraham and Melchizedek. Continue down.

01:35:13.200 --> 01:35:21.200
Because yes he may not need more than a great job Wayne. Well I'm not going to

01:35:21.200 --> 01:35:27.200
do that. I'm going to do it for him. I'm going to do it for him. I'm going to do it for him.

01:35:27.200 --> 01:35:55.200
Because yes he may not need more than a great job Wayne. Well done and he'll be happy with that but that's not honor in its fullness. Honor needs to be expressed through other things too. Two more to go. Money is a seed for more money. Money is a seed for more money. Money is a seed for more money.

01:35:58.200 --> 01:36:16.200
Hey by the way when I say honor grace with money I'm not saying you're paying for the grace. You're not paying for the grace. You are saying that listen this is the one thing, this is the one thing that I say that I earn with the sweat of my brow and this is important to me.

01:36:16.200 --> 01:36:32.200
But I recognize the grace in you and I'm honoring you with this saying this is the one thing that I earn with the sweat of my brow. I'm honoring me with you. Words will come easy. Great job Wayne. Thanks Wayne. You're wonderful. You're the best looking carpenter I've ever met and all this stuff.

01:36:32.200 --> 01:36:50.200
But this is suddenly where money meets my, where the, what's the word, what's that phrase? Rubber hits the road or put your money where your mouth is. So thank you Wayne. You're wonderful. You're wonderful. You're wonderful. You're wonderful. You're wonderful. That doesn't work.

01:36:50.200 --> 01:37:03.200
That doesn't work. Yeah, yeah. So whatever. Yeah, yeah. Not just money. Agreed. Agreed.

01:37:03.200 --> 01:37:30.200
Great one. I didn't remember that one. Money is a seed for more money. Money is a seed for more money. If you want to grow money, sow money. Yeah. Money is a seed for more money. What is the principle? You give to, when you give you, you give to the people.

01:37:30.200 --> 01:37:52.200
You give to, when you give you, receive. But the, but the motive should not be that we get more. Agreed. But when you jump up, you come down. So my intent right now guys, honestly, is to jump up. But like it or not, I'll come back down.

01:37:52.200 --> 01:38:22.200
Yeah. So the thing is, I literally cannot, I have never jumped up in my life thinking I won't come down till today. Because I'm not able to disconnect one from the other. So the motive is to jump up. So when we were singing, the only idea was to jump up, even though I was running out of breath. But every time I jumped up, I was so sure that I won't go keep going upward. Then I'll come down. So I cannot disconnect. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up. So I have to jump up.

01:38:22.200 --> 01:38:22.580
Cushion,-!!

01:38:22.580 --> 01:38:22.840
Get up.

01:38:22.840 --> 01:38:23.580
Get up!!!

01:38:23.820 --> 01:38:25.720
Get up!!!

01:38:25.720 --> 01:38:27.020
Get up!!!!

01:38:27.020 --> 01:38:28.000
Get up!!!

01:38:28.240 --> 01:38:29.200
Get up!!!

01:38:29.420 --> 01:38:30.820
Get up!!!

01:38:32.180 --> 01:38:33.180
Get up!!!

01:38:33.180 --> 01:38:34.320
Get up!!!

01:38:34.580 --> 01:38:35.740
Get up!!!

01:38:38.460 --> 01:38:39.640
Get up!!!

01:38:40.760 --> 01:38:42.480
Get up!!!

01:38:44.720 --> 01:38:45.420
Get up!!!

01:38:46.860 --> 01:38:48.180
Get up!!!

01:38:48.180 --> 01:38:55.940
But if we love the Lord and the longer we grow in Him and live with Him,

01:38:55.940 --> 01:38:59.140
it's a pressure to give and to hear.

01:38:59.140 --> 01:39:02.980
At the other end of the world, people get saved and get done whatever.

01:39:02.980 --> 01:39:06.900
A few plantains and a kingdom of God.

01:39:06.900 --> 01:39:08.100
Yeah, I agree.

01:39:08.100 --> 01:39:09.540
And the eternal value.

01:39:09.540 --> 01:39:12.260
True, true.

01:39:12.260 --> 01:39:15.300
Want to be at rest?

01:39:15.300 --> 01:39:16.500
Sow obedience.

01:39:16.500 --> 01:39:18.500
Obedience is the seed for rest.

01:39:19.300 --> 01:39:22.420
Obedience is the seed for rest.

01:39:23.700 --> 01:39:26.980
Obedience is the seed for rest.

01:39:28.020 --> 01:39:33.860
All I have to do on this trip is to obey what has been shown

01:39:34.740 --> 01:39:36.820
and obey what God will show.

01:39:37.700 --> 01:39:43.380
And then I can be at rest because obedience is the seed for rest.

01:39:43.380 --> 01:39:44.420
How do we know that?

01:39:44.420 --> 01:39:44.920
Hebrews.

01:39:46.660 --> 01:39:49.300
All your watches are, I think, 10 minutes fast.

01:39:49.300 --> 01:39:51.220
Hebrews, chapter 4.

01:39:55.540 --> 01:40:02.180
Hebrews 4, verse 2 and 6.

01:40:04.340 --> 01:40:08.500
For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did.

01:40:09.060 --> 01:40:11.300
But the message they heard was of no value to them,

01:40:11.300 --> 01:40:14.100
because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

01:40:14.980 --> 01:40:15.540
Verse 6.

01:40:17.220 --> 01:40:19.300
It still remains that some will enter that rest,

01:40:19.300 --> 01:40:21.940
and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them

01:40:21.940 --> 01:40:24.340
did not go in because of their disobedience.

01:40:24.340 --> 01:40:26.100
Guys, we've talked about rest.

01:40:26.100 --> 01:40:29.540
We talked about rest for eight weeks last year or the year before.

01:40:29.540 --> 01:40:32.980
But the point is to remind us again, obedience is the seed for rest.

01:40:32.980 --> 01:40:37.940
It's impossible for you or me to come into a place of God-kinder rest

01:40:38.660 --> 01:40:41.460
till you obey what you have been told.

01:40:41.460 --> 01:40:42.740
Otherwise, there's no question of rest.

01:40:42.740 --> 01:40:46.740
And this is what Sue had mentioned a little earlier comes into play.

01:40:46.740 --> 01:40:49.140
Guys, there's two ways of obeying.

01:40:49.780 --> 01:40:52.020
One way of obeying is listening under.

01:40:52.020 --> 01:40:54.100
The other way of obeying is listening around.

01:40:55.780 --> 01:40:58.020
Listening under or listening around.

01:40:58.020 --> 01:40:59.380
All of us have this problem.

01:41:00.260 --> 01:41:02.740
We will listen, but we will not listen under.

01:41:02.740 --> 01:41:03.860
We will listen around.

01:41:04.580 --> 01:41:07.540
Disobedience, a definition of disobedience in Hebrew, actually,

01:41:07.540 --> 01:41:09.380
which Jason doesn't know.

01:41:09.380 --> 01:41:12.660
Disobedience is listening around.

01:41:13.540 --> 01:41:17.540
And the word obedience in Hebrew is listening under,

01:41:17.540 --> 01:41:19.540
where you come under the word.

01:41:20.100 --> 01:41:24.660
And disobedience is going around the word.

01:41:24.660 --> 01:41:27.460
And boy, do we see that in each other's lives.

01:41:27.460 --> 01:41:30.500
There's so many times I obey, but I'm obeying around.

01:41:30.500 --> 01:41:32.500
And obeying around is actually disobedience.

01:41:33.220 --> 01:41:48.740
Okay. We're kind of done.

01:41:49.140 --> 01:41:50.820
Submission is the seed for divine order.

01:41:54.340 --> 01:41:57.620
Submission is the seed for divine order.

01:41:58.580 --> 01:42:01.860
Submission is the seed for divine order.

01:42:02.500 --> 01:42:16.500
If I don't submit to you, nothing will submit to me.

01:42:16.500 --> 01:42:21.500
If I don't submit to you, so therefore when I go and I'm asking to be sent,

01:42:21.500 --> 01:42:27.500
part of it is the sentness of it, the other is submitting to the body so that the body sends me.

01:42:27.500 --> 01:42:30.500
When I submit, I operate in divine order.

01:42:30.500 --> 01:42:34.500
When you choose not to submit, you now do not operate under divine order.

01:42:34.500 --> 01:42:37.500
You operate under any order that you are establishing.

01:42:37.500 --> 01:42:42.500
When we are an authority unto ourselves, it results in a whole lot of problems.

01:42:42.500 --> 01:42:46.500
So learn how to submit.

01:42:46.500 --> 01:42:48.500
Submission of the seed for divine order.

01:42:48.500 --> 01:42:50.500
I'll give you a quick example, eh?

01:42:50.500 --> 01:42:57.500
And I'm going to just pick on Mariam and Jeff and give you this quick example.

01:42:57.500 --> 01:43:00.500
One day Mariam came and said to me,

01:43:00.500 --> 01:43:04.500
hey Jacob, we'd like you to come for dinner to our house.

01:43:04.500 --> 01:43:14.500
And I'm sure that Mariam and Jeff would have loved me to come over to their house and have dinner.

01:43:14.500 --> 01:43:20.500
But my response to Mariam was, have you spoken to Jeff yet about it?

01:43:20.500 --> 01:43:22.500
And she said, no, I'll speak to him about it.

01:43:22.500 --> 01:43:26.500
I said, why don't you go and tell him and let Jeff come in?

01:43:26.500 --> 01:43:27.500
And he asked me.

01:43:27.500 --> 01:43:30.500
So then Mariam went to Jeff and Jeff immediately said yes.

01:43:30.500 --> 01:43:34.500
And he came and said, Jacob, could you come to our house for dinner?

01:43:34.500 --> 01:43:36.500
So why go through that rigmarole process?

01:43:36.500 --> 01:43:41.500
Because I recognize that Mariam and Jeff, Jeff is first among equals.

01:43:41.500 --> 01:43:45.500
And that if I am invited to their house and they both come to the church,

01:43:45.500 --> 01:43:51.500
then I want Jeff to know that I'm coming to his house and go through that process.

01:43:51.500 --> 01:43:57.500
Now it might sound such a rigmarole thing, but I know that that's how order works.

01:43:57.500 --> 01:43:59.500
Both of them were immediately yes.

01:43:59.500 --> 01:44:01.500
But the point was there is set order.

01:44:01.500 --> 01:44:07.500
Whenever we take order into our own hands, guys, it's we have no idea how.

01:44:07.500 --> 01:44:10.500
I mean, we spent two weeks talking about order, so I'm not going to belabor the point.

01:44:10.500 --> 01:44:14.500
The point is learn how to submit to whatever order exists.

01:44:14.500 --> 01:44:18.500
And in different situations, there'll be different orders.

01:44:18.500 --> 01:44:20.500
Different situations, different orders.

01:44:20.500 --> 01:44:22.500
When you go into another church, it's a different order.

01:44:22.500 --> 01:44:24.500
You can't ask questions.

01:44:24.500 --> 01:44:27.500
That's the order established there. Live by it.

01:44:31.500 --> 01:44:36.500
I mean, I don't know if you remember, but when Anne was traveling with me,

01:44:36.500 --> 01:44:38.500
Elmer and Anne called me over to their house.

01:44:38.500 --> 01:44:41.500
And we were sitting at the dinner table and then Elmer says,

01:44:41.500 --> 01:44:46.500
I now place my wife under your covering.

01:44:46.500 --> 01:44:48.500
When she was coming with me, because he wasn't.

01:44:48.500 --> 01:44:50.500
He was staying here.

01:44:50.500 --> 01:44:54.500
And so Anne came with me and he said, I place my wife under your covering.

01:44:54.500 --> 01:44:57.500
While she is with you, you will be her covering.

01:44:57.500 --> 01:45:04.500
And in Bahrain, three minutes before the service, Anne goes completely deaf.

01:45:04.500 --> 01:45:09.500
She gets, she cannot hear and her head is feeling funny.

01:45:09.500 --> 01:45:12.500
And this is just three minutes before we're going to go and speak.

01:45:12.500 --> 01:45:15.500
And I was so confident, man, I turned around and said,

01:45:15.500 --> 01:45:17.500
Father, she's under my covering.

01:45:17.500 --> 01:45:19.500
Elmer has placed her under my charge.

01:45:19.500 --> 01:45:21.500
And in the authority that I have, just by that,

01:45:21.500 --> 01:45:23.500
and in the authority that I have as a believer,

01:45:23.500 --> 01:45:27.500
I now say ears open and business go.

01:45:27.500 --> 01:45:31.500
Within a minute or 20 seconds, the whole thing went and then we started ministering.

01:45:31.500 --> 01:45:35.500
We have no idea how important order is.

01:45:35.500 --> 01:45:38.500
It's so pointless breaking it because you prosper under it.

01:45:38.500 --> 01:45:40.500
You thrive under it.

01:45:40.500 --> 01:45:42.500
So bless you.

01:45:42.500 --> 01:45:46.500
There'll be, I promise you there are some changes.

01:45:46.500 --> 01:45:47.500
Not I promise.

01:45:47.500 --> 01:45:53.500
I say to you there'll be some amazing changes coming from the 18th on.

01:45:53.500 --> 01:45:57.500
So prepare your hearts and things will be different.

01:45:57.500 --> 01:45:58.500
Yeah.

01:45:58.500 --> 01:46:01.500
Amazing changes coming from the 18th on.

01:46:01.500 --> 01:46:02.500
Yeah.

01:46:02.500 --> 01:46:04.500
From the 18th on.

01:46:04.500 --> 01:46:06.500
From November 18th on.

01:46:06.500 --> 01:46:08.500
And I'll call you, I'll try to call you.

01:46:08.500 --> 01:46:09.500
Keep all your phones on.

01:46:09.500 --> 01:46:12.500
And if I am near Wi-Fi, I'll FaceTime with James.

01:46:12.500 --> 01:46:13.500
So.

01:46:13.500 --> 01:46:14.500
Yeah.

01:46:14.500 --> 01:46:16.500
Tomorrow, I told you so.

01:46:16.500 --> 01:46:17.500
She'll send an email.

01:46:17.500 --> 01:46:18.500
And tomorrow.

01:46:18.500 --> 01:46:19.500
So, I'll see you tomorrow.

01:46:19.500 --> 01:46:20.500
Bye.

01:46:20.500 --> 01:46:21.500
Bye.

01:46:21.500 --> 01:46:22.500
Bye.

01:46:22.500 --> 01:46:23.500
Bye.

01:46:23.500 --> 01:46:24.500
Bye.

01:46:24.500 --> 01:46:25.500
Bye.

01:46:25.500 --> 01:46:26.500
Bye.

01:46:26.500 --> 01:46:27.500
Bye.

01:46:27.500 --> 01:46:28.500
Bye.
