you're not good at it. 00:10:19.720 --> 00:10:23.720 Worship leaders who know 00:10:23.720 --> 00:10:26.720 that they have been given permission by God to lead worship 00:10:26.720 --> 00:10:29.720 are far better than worship leaders who know how to sing. 00:10:34.720 --> 00:10:38.720 But because the world prefers singing, we don't realize that there are worship leaders 00:10:38.720 --> 00:10:40.720 who have been given permission by God to 00:10:40.720 --> 00:10:42.720 lead worship and they don't end up doing it. 00:10:43.720 --> 00:10:47.720 Once you're given permission, what happens is that permission is backed up by heaven. 00:10:50.720 --> 00:10:53.720 When you only have pedigree, then all you have is your gifts or talents. 00:10:53.720 --> 00:10:58.720 When you have permission, you have the pedigree of heaven. 00:11:03.720 --> 00:11:06.720 And then the Holy Spirit brings you the freedom of God. 00:11:06.720 --> 00:11:08.720 This is why in 2 Corinthians 3, 18 it says, 00:11:08.720 --> 00:11:11.720 Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. 00:11:13.720 --> 00:11:15.720 There is freedom. 00:11:19.720 --> 00:11:24.720 Freedom to dance before the sun because of the permission and the smile of God. 00:11:24.720 --> 00:11:28.720 Imagine a child who has received permission and the smile of his parent 00:11:28.720 --> 00:11:33.720 to go play on the seesaw in the swing and the child begins to dance. 00:11:38.720 --> 00:11:43.720 You don't find it here, but outside the city you'll find these trees 00:11:43.720 --> 00:11:48.720 with a swing attached to it and usually grandpa strings up the swing. 00:11:48.720 --> 00:11:52.720 And parents are super frightened of the swing that grandpa strung up 00:11:52.720 --> 00:11:55.720 because they always think the swing will break. 00:11:55.720 --> 00:11:58.720 And then one day they allow the kid to go towards the swing. 00:11:59.720 --> 00:12:03.720 And you see the smile and the permission that the parent gives 00:12:03.720 --> 00:12:05.720 and the child goes running. 00:12:09.720 --> 00:12:11.720 There are some in Vancouver. 00:12:13.720 --> 00:12:16.720 If you want to know where --> 00:12:45.720 We won't talk about it today. Let it go. 00:12:46.720 --> 00:12:49.720 He brings into my life the capacity, 00:12:49.720 --> 00:12:56.720 He brings into my life the capacity for defenseless, transparent, 00:12:59.720 --> 00:13:05.720 defenseless, transparent, unafraid oneness. 00:13:07.720 --> 00:13:10.720 We won't talk about it today because one, because we don't have time, 00:13:10.720 --> 00:13:12.720 two, because I don't know enough about it. 00:13:14.720 --> 00:13:18.720 The Spirit of God has the capacity to bring into my life defenseless, 00:13:18.720 --> 00:13:20.720 transparent, unafraid oneness. 00:13:20.720 --> 00:13:25.720 This is what we see. First, we need to develop this between us and the Father. 00:13:26.720 --> 00:13:29.720 Then we need to develop it between us and the Spirit. 00:13:30.720 --> 00:13:33.720 Then we need to develop it between us and the body of Christ. 00:13:34.720 --> 00:13:39.720 You read all about this in John 17 and Matthew 11, 28 and there on. 00:13:40.720 --> 00:13:42.720 Matthew 11, 24 to 28. 00:13:42.720 --> 00:13:45.720 Then there's this wonders that can come with your spouse. 00:13:45.720 --> 00:13:48.720 Then there's the wonders that can come in other relationships. 00:13:48.720 --> 00:13:56.720 This is one of the specialties of the Holy Spirit because He loves building community like nobody else can. 00:13:59.720 --> 00:14:05.720 But to bring us to a place where it's defenseless, transparent, unafraid oneness. 00:14:06.720 --> 00:14:11.720 Once we begin that with the Father, we can begin to take it next into other places. 00:14:12.720 --> 00:14:17.720 This is what Jesus says in his conversations in John 17. 00:14:17.720 --> 00:14:22.720 Father, you and I are one. Can you help them come into that kind of oneness? 00:14:22.720 --> 00:14:25.720 Matthew 11, 24 to 28. Father, everything that is mine is yours. 00:14:25.720 --> 00:14:32.720 He actually in the message uses the words, Father, this relationship is a unique Father-Son intimacy. 00:14:32.720 --> 00:14:36.720 And out of this unique intimacy come things. 00:14:37.720 --> 00:14:41.720 We need to get there first where it's transparent, unafraid, defenseless. 00:14:41.720 --> 00:14:43.720 We haven't gotten there. 00:14:44.720 --> 00:14:48.720 Where you're defenseless, meaning you are ready to be hurt and to hurt. 00:14:51.720 --> 00:14:53.720 Where you're transparent, where nothing is hidden back. 00:14:53.720 --> 00:14:58.720 There are no buts justifying and unafraid, unafraid of God. 00:14:58.720 --> 00:15:00.720 That itself is a hard thing. 00:15:00.720 --> 00:15:04.720 Then think of going with the Holy Spirit, with the body of Christ, with your spouse. 00:15:06.720 --> 00:15:08.720 Most spouses are afraid of each other, eh? 00:15:11.720 --> 00:15:13.720 Thank God no one's looking at each other. 00:15:14.720 --> 00:15:16.720 That's the sign that you are. 00:15:20.720 --> 00:15:23.720 We won't talk about that today. We'll explore it later. 00:15:23.720 --> 00:15:30.720 Hey, the other thing the Holy Spirit does is he publicly advocates and supports God's cause in me. 00:15:30.720 --> 00:15:33.720 He publicly advocates God's cause in me. 00:15:33.720 --> 00:15:38.720 He's actually called the Advocate. Jesus calls him the Advocate. 00:15:38.720 --> 00:15:44.720 In John 14, 16, John 14, 26, John 15 something, he calls the Holy Spirit Advocate. 00:15:44.720 --> 00:15:50.720 As in one who publicly supports your cause, one who publicly fights for your cause. 00:15:51.720 --> 00:15:59.720 Publicly as in before heaven, before the Father, before the Son, before satanic realms, before people. 00:15:59.720 --> 00:16:03.720 He publicly advocates and supports God's cause in me saying, 00:16:03.720 --> 00:16:08.720 I know before this boy Tate was born what he was supposed to be. 00:16:08.720 --> 00:16:10.720 What do you think the prophetic is? 00:16:11.720 --> 00:16:16.720 The prophetic is a revelation of the cause of God that the Spirit of God knows, 00:16:16.720 --> 00:16:19.720 that he speaks through people so that you know it. 00:16:19.720 --> 00:16:23.720 It's a proclamation of the cause of God that the Spirit of God knows all along. 00:16:23.720 --> 00:16:30.720 I was going through some old overheads and I remember Tate on his baptism. 00:16:30.720 --> 00:16:32.720 There was this overhead that was put up for Tate saying, 00:16:32.720 --> 00:16:37.720 when Tate enters a place, the animals of the forest will begin to dance. 00:16:37.720 --> 00:16:42.720 It's from a message version of a scripture that he has the ability to step into a place 00:16:42.720 --> 00:16:44.720 and the trees will begin to clap their hands. 00:16:44.720 --> 00:16:47.720 The animals of the forest will start to dance. 00:16:47.720 --> 00:16:50.720 I remember putting it up on a slide and speaking it over Tate. 00:16:50.720 --> 00:16:52.720 What is the Holy Spirit trying to do? 00:16:52.720 --> 00:16:56.720 Listen, there is a boy called Tate who is what, seven Tate? 00:16:56.720 --> 00:16:57.720 Tate, how old are you? 00:16:57.720 --> 00:16:58.720 Oh, shucks. 00:16:58.720 --> 00:16:59.720 Okay. 00:16:59.720 --> 00:17:06.720 Here is a nine-year-old boy that I had known before he was formed. 00:17:06.720 --> 00:17:10.720 I will proclaim, support and advocate for him. 00:17:10.720 --> 00:17:12.720 I will be his father. 00:17:12.720 --> 00:17:13.720 I will be his father. 00:17:13.720 --> 00:17:14.720 I will be his father. 00:17:14.720 --> 00:17:15.720 I will be his father. 00:17:15.720 --> 00:17:16.720 I will be his father. 00:17:16.720 --> 00:17:17.720 I will be his father. 00:17:17.720 --> 00:17:18.720 I will be his father. 00:17:18.720 --> 00:17:19.720 I will be his father. 00:17:19.720 --> 00:17:20.720 I will be his father. 00:17:20.720 --> 00:17:21.720 I will be his father. 00:17:21.720 --> 00:17:22.720 I will be his father. 00:17:22.720 --> 00:17:23.720 I will be his father. 00:17:23.720 --> 00:17:24.720 I will be his father. 00:17:24.720 --> 00:17:25.720 I will be his father. 00:17:25.720 --> 00:17:26.720 I will be his father. 00:17:26.720 --> 00:17:27.720 I will be his father. 00:17:27.720 --> 00:17:28.720 I will be his father. 00:17:28.720 --> 00:17:29.720 I will be his father. 00:17:29.720 --> 00:17:30.720 I will be his father. 00:17:30.720 --> 00:17:31.720 I will be his father. 00:17:31.720 --> 00:17:32.720 I will be his father. 00:17:32.720 --> 00:17:33.720 I will be his father. 00:17:33.720 --> 00:17:34.720 I will be his father. 00:17:34.720 --> 00:17:35.720 I will be his father. 00:17:35.720 --> 00:17:36.720 I will be his father. 00:17:36.720 --> 00:17:37.720 I will be his father. 00:17:37.720 --> 00:17:38.720 I will be his father. 00:17:38.720 --> 00:17:39.720 I will be his father. 00:17:40.720 --> 00:17:42.720 Because it regresses its head and says, 00:17:42.720 --> 00:17:45.720 Jacob ain't agreeing with my advocating for him. 00:17:45.720 --> 00:17:47.720 So till he agrees, this cannot move forward 00:17:47.720 --> 00:17:49.720 because God will not violate your will. 00:17:50.720 --> 00:17:53.720 So if I say, and let's assume what I said over him, 00:17:53.720 --> 00:17:55.720 that there is momentum for you uphill, 00:17:55.720 --> 00:17:56.720 and he doesn't agree with it, 00:17:56.720 --> 00:18:00.720 then you will find that he is slowly beginning to go reverse gear. 00:18:02.720 --> 00:18:04.720 Important to agree, guys. 00:18:05.720 --> 00:18:08.720 So one of the things the Holy Spirit loves doing is, 00:18:08.720 --> 00:18:11.720 he publicly advocates and supports God's cause in me. 00:18:12.720 --> 00:18:15.720 After all, he's been my guardian since before I existed. 00:18:15.720 --> 00:18:18.720 Guardians were a big deal in the ancient Near East 00:18:18.720 --> 00:18:21.720 and in the New Testament, even during the Roman times. 00:18:21.720 --> 00:18:23.720 Guardians were a big deal. 00:18:23.720 --> 00:18:25.720 They were supposed to be in charge of. 00:18:25.720 --> 00:18:26.720 They were supposed to tutor. 00:18:26.720 --> 00:18:27.720 They were supposed to raise up. 00:18:27.720 --> 00:18:29.720 They were supposed to bring to full stature 00:18:29.720 --> 00:18:30.720 and present before the parent. 00:18:30.720 --> 00:18:33.720 Here, the one that you gave me to take care of, 00:18:33.720 --> 00:18:34.720 here I present him. 00:18:35.720 --> 00:18:36.720 Full, complete. 00:18:36.720 --> 00:18:38.720 That is who the Holy Spirit is. 00:18:38.720 --> 00:18:41.720 But the strange thing is, he was my guardian before I was formed. 00:18:42.720 --> 00:18:43.720 Read Psalm 139. 00:18:43.720 --> 00:18:47.720 We always miss out that the passage about us being unformed 00:18:47.720 --> 00:18:50.720 starts with, where can I hide from your Spirit? 00:18:53.720 --> 00:18:57.720 You need to think for a while and realize 00:18:57.720 --> 00:19:00.720 what a vested interest he has in me. 00:19:00.720 --> 00:19:03.720 He's been waiting for days in my life to come to pass, 00:19:03.720 --> 00:19:06.720 if possible, in perfect time without any lag, 00:19:06.720 --> 00:19:09.720 because he was there before the days were even written. 00:19:09.720 --> 00:19:11.720 He had written them down in his book. 00:19:14.720 --> 00:19:17.720 And so he says, today is the 12th of July. 00:19:17.720 --> 00:19:18.720 And so this was supposed to happen. 00:19:18.720 --> 00:19:21.720 I wonder if Jacob is going to walk in it or not. 00:19:21.720 --> 00:19:23.720 But I have such a vested interest in him. 00:19:23.720 --> 00:19:27.720 And I will proclaim and advocate the cause of God in his name. 00:19:27.720 --> 00:19:30.720 And I will proclaim and advocate the cause of God in his life. 00:19:33.720 --> 00:19:34.720 How does he know this? 00:19:34.720 --> 00:19:36.720 Because it says that he searches the mind of God. 00:19:36.720 --> 00:19:38.720 In 1 Corinthians chapter 2, 00:19:38.720 --> 00:19:42.720 it actually says that the Holy Spirit searches the mind of God about me. 00:19:49.720 --> 00:19:51.720 Now do you see why that song is so beautiful? How do they behave? 00:30:13.720 --> 00:30:15.720 Will someone who walks in know that he's in their midst? 00:30:15.720 --> 00:30:19.720 What happens to diseased bodies? What happens to a lack of money? 00:30:20.720 --> 00:30:24.720 Diseased bodies he can heal. Lack of money you will supply. 00:30:28.720 --> 00:30:33.720 What happens to parenting? What happens to power?
