Ephesians 422 says this, 00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:58.000 Guys, put off your old self or old man. Put off your old self or old man. Why? 00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:07.000 Because that old self or old man was your former manner of life. 00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:16.000 You knew what I was asking for. Put off your old self or old man. Why? 00:01:16.000 --> 00:01:26.000 Because it's your former manner of life and it was put to death on the cross. 00:01:26.000 --> 00:01:34.000 Please pick up the last CD if you want to get the hang of this, otherwise part two won't do you as much justice. 00:01:34.000 --> 00:01:42.000 So that's in Romans 6, 6. That's in Ephesians 422, I think, or 23. 00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:50.000 22. 22 to 24. So this is what we looked at last time. 00:01:50.000 --> 00:01:56.000 Put off the old self because that was your former manner of living before you met Christ. 00:01:56.000 --> 00:02:01.000 And by the way, Jesus Christ died on the cross and he put to death that old self. 00:02:01.000 --> 00:02:06.000 So don't pick it up. It's like walking around with a cadaver. Don't do it. Put off your old self. 00:02:06.000 --> 00:02:11.000 You pick that up and walk with that Jacob and it'll keep getting corrupted. It'll keep decaying. 00:02:11.000 --> 00:02:18.000 You'll stink because you're carrying a dead corpse on your back. It's an old way of living. Put it off. 00:02:18.000 --> 00:02:27.000 And then it says in verse 24 or so, it says, put on the new self. Put on the new self. Put on the new self. 00:02:27.000 --> 00:02:37.000 And then it goes on to say about the new self that the new self, put on the new self. 00:02:37.000 --> 00:02:46.000 And it says the new self is created in the likeness of God. 00:02:46.000 --> 00:02:59.000 And it says in true righteousness and holiness, put on this new self. 00:02:59.000 --> 00:03:09.000 And then it says, just so you know what this new self is, in Romans 13, 14, it says, this new self is Christ Jesus. 00:03:09.000 --> 00:03:19.000 As in, hey, when you received Jesus Christ into your life, understand that your old self was crucified to the cross 00:03:19.000 --> 00:03:26.000 and that you now have a new self. As in, Jesus Christ has come into your life. 00:03:26.000 --> 00:03:35.000 Begin to wear him. Put on the new self. Created in the likeness of God. 00:03:35.000 --> 00:03:38.000 That's what it says. That's what we were talking about. 00:03:38.000 --> 00:03:42.000 How do you do this? How do you move from old to new? 00:03:42.000 --> 00:03:47.000 And God gives an answer for that too. And that's what we'll be looking at today. 00:03:47.000 --> 00:04:00.000 How do you move from old to new? It says, renew the spirit of your mind. 00:04:00.000 --> 00:04:04.000 That's how you do it. Renew the spirit of your mind. 00:04:04.000 --> 00:04:08.000 That's how you do this. Any questions on this before we go on? 00:04:08.000 --> 00:04:14.000 Renew the spirit of your mind. 00:04:14.000 --> 00:04:19.000 So that's what we'll be looking at today. How do you renew the spirit of your mind? 00:04:19.000 --> 00:04:24.000 By the way, when we talk about mind, we are not talking about the brain. 00:04:24.000 --> 00:04:30.000 By mind we mean mindset. By mind we mean our reasoning. 00:04:30.000 --> 00:04:35.000 By mind we mean our desires. By mind we mean the way we think. 00:04:35.000 --> 00:04:42.000 The mind we mean our feelings. That's what we mean by mind. 00:04:42.000 --> 00:04:50.000 And God is saying, renew the spirit of the way you think, the way you desire, the way you feel, your mindset. 00:04:50.000 --> 00:05:00.000 Renew the spirit of your mindset. And if you do that, you'll be able to make the shift from the old which has been killed to the new which you have. 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:08.000 Any questions on this before we go on? 00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:18.000 We will not grasp all of it today, but if you have questions you must ask and then you can go and listen to it again and again and again. 00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:32.000 Okay. Guys, the starting point for the renewing of the mind is grasping the truth of 1 Corinthians 2.16. 00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:38.000 The starting point for the renewing of the mind is grasping the truth of 1 Corinthians 2.16. 00:05:38.000 --> 00:05:47.000 The starting point for the renewing of the mind is grasping the truth of 1 Corinthians 2.16. 00:05:47.000 --> 00:06:03.000 And here's what 1 Corinthians 2.16 says. 1 Corinthians 2.16 says, you have the mind of Christ. 00:06:03.000 --> 00:06:08.000 It's not saying you will one day. It's not saying when you get to heaven you will. 00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:16.000 It is saying you presently possess, you have the mind of Christ. You presently have it. 00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:21.000 Anybody who has received Jesus Christ into their lives has the mind of Christ. 00:06:21.000 --> 00:06:26.000 And what do we mean by that? What did we say the mind was? We're not saying you got the brains of God. 00:06:26.000 --> 00:06:31.000 You wouldn't be able to handle it in this body like putting a Ferrari in a Kia. 00:06:31.000 --> 00:06:36.000 But nothing wrong with Kia. Kia is a fine car. I used to own one. 00:06:36.000 --> 00:06:43.000 When we would go up Northwind, I think the car wasn't moving because the other cars would be going really fast past me. 00:06:43.000 --> 00:06:47.000 And I almost stepped out of the car one day. Then I realized, no, my car was moving. 00:06:47.000 --> 00:06:50.000 But this was in the days when Kia wasn't what it is. But Kia is a fine car now. 00:06:50.000 --> 00:06:55.000 Having made this disclaimer, let me move on. 00:06:56.000 --> 00:07:03.000 You have the mind of Christ. It's your present possession. You have the mind of Christ. 00:07:07.000 --> 00:07:13.000 You have the mind of Christ. Present possession. It's not something we are. 00:07:13.000 --> 00:07:19.000 Thinking will happen to us later. You have the mind of Christ. This is the starting point. 00:07:19.000 --> 00:07:24.000 This is the starting point. If you don't have this, you don't have anything else. 00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:30.000 See, when we teach Christ life, we have a tendency when we teach Christ life at Acts 29 to say, 00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:35.000 your body is neutral, your spirit is new. All the work is in the renewing of the mind. 00:07:35.000 --> 00:07:40.000 While part of it is true, part of it is not. We are not renewing a mind we don't have. 00:07:40.000 --> 00:07:46.000 We already have it. Now it's a question of using it. 00:07:48.000 --> 00:07:53.000 We already have it. It's now the question of using it. 00:07:53.000 --> 00:08:00.000 There is nobody here who has received Jesus Christ who does not actually have the very mind of Christ. 00:08:00.000 --> 00:08:06.000 Which is why Jesus has the audacity to say to us in Philippians 2, Paul is talking about Jesus, 00:08:06.000 --> 00:08:11.000 and he says, have this mind that was also in Christ. 00:08:11.000 --> 00:08:16.000 How can you even say that if you don't already have it? How can I say to Jillian, 00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:20.000 have the mind of an athlete if she's not an athlete? 00:08:21.000 --> 00:08:26.000 You have to have something before God can say, now that you have it, think like it. 00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:32.000 This is the starting point. Unfortunately, most of us don't really believe that we have the mind of Christ. 00:08:34.000 --> 00:08:41.000 That we have the desires, that we have the longings, that we have the thinking patterns, 00:08:41.000 --> 00:08:48.000 that we have the ways of thought, that we have the mindset of Jesus Christ. We really don't believe it. 00:08:49.000 --> 00:08:54.000 I was talking about this at two of the households, that when God made man, 00:08:54.000 --> 00:09:02.000 he was literally, the outward body was not what resembled him. 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:06.000 When God said, I have made man in my image and likeness, he wasn't talking about the outward body, 00:09:06.000 --> 00:09:11.000 he was talking about the inward shaping, where he put his nature in man. 00:09:11.000 --> 00:09:16.000 And it was literally like a painter or a sculptor sitting and painting his self-portrait. 00:09:17.000 --> 00:09:23.000 That's what he says in Genesis 1.27, I have made Jacob in my own image and likeness. 00:09:23.000 --> 00:09:27.000 And what was he saying? I mean, I mentioned this at Heidi's group yesterday, 00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:33.000 Rachel and Matt are going to have a baby. This baby will arrive on the earth in 2017. 00:09:33.000 --> 00:09:37.000 But this baby was created somewhere at the beginning of the world on the seventh day. 00:09:39.000 --> 00:09:42.000 This baby wasn't created the day before yesterday or when they slept together. 00:09:42.000 --> 00:09:47.000 This baby was created at the beginning of time, waiting for a day when it would be introduced to the earth. 00:09:52.000 --> 00:09:55.000 When this baby was created, God was making a self-portrait of himself. 00:09:59.000 --> 00:10:03.000 With great love, he shaped this baby, putting his nature, his ways, 00:10:03.000 --> 00:10:07.000 like a sculptor looking at the mirror and shaping this baby. 00:10:07.000 --> 00:10:10.000 Sure, sin came in and this baby will need to get born again. 00:10:10.000 --> 00:10:15.000 But there is not a person on the face of the earth who is not a self-portrait of the living God. 00:10:15.000 --> 00:10:20.000 Not a person on the face of the earth who is not a self-portrait of the living God. 00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:24.000 The only thing that happened is the self-portrait got distorted. 00:10:25.000 --> 00:10:30.000 When you received Jesus Christ into your life, that self-portrait was restored. 00:10:31.000 --> 00:10:33.000 That nature of Christ was restored. 00:10:33.000 --> 00:10:35.000 The way Christ thinks was restored. 00:10:35.000 --> 00:10:37.000 Why did God trust Adam? 00:10:37.000 --> 00:10:41.000 Because God knew that Adam had the same likes, the same ways of thinking as he does. 00:10:43.000 --> 00:10:45.000 Which is why he gave him dominion over the earth. 00:10:45.000 --> 00:10:48.000 Because he knew that if I have made Adam the way I have made him, 00:10:48.000 --> 00:10:51.000 I can't trust him to take care of everything that I have made. 00:10:53.000 --> 00:10:55.000 When we got born again, that is what happened. 00:10:55.000 --> 00:10:59.000 Our spirits were made perfect, but we were given a life of self-portrait. 00:10:59.000 --> 00:11:01.000 When we got born again, that is what happened. 00:11:01.000 --> 00:11:04.000 Our spirits were made perfect, but we were given the mind of Christ 00:11:04.000 --> 00:11:07.000 so that he can now trust us once again to have his nature. 00:11:08.000 --> 00:11:13.000 But our problem is that when God wants to see his image, he looks at me. 00:11:13.000 --> 00:11:20.000 When I want to see my image, I look in the mirror and I only see myself with warts and pimples, flaws and defects. 00:11:20.000 --> 00:11:22.000 And the real me is not that. 00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:24.000 We talked about this last time. 00:11:24.000 --> 00:11:28.000 The real Jacob is made in the likeness of God himself. 00:11:28.000 --> 00:11:31.000 The real Jacob is made in the likeness of God himself. 00:11:31.000 --> 00:11:35.000 Created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness. 00:11:35.000 --> 00:11:37.000 That alone is the real Jacob. 00:11:37.000 --> 00:11:40.000 That is the Jacob that God relates to brilliantly. 00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:51.000 But circumstances, pastors, churches, movies, the world will keep telling you how flawed you are. 00:11:51.000 --> 00:11:53.000 And yes, you have flaws. 00:11:53.000 --> 00:11:54.000 But that is not the real you. 00:11:54.000 --> 00:11:57.000 I am not condoning for a second the things I do wrong. 00:11:57.000 --> 00:12:01.000 But I want to have a grasp of who I really am if I am to move forward. 00:12:04.000 --> 00:12:07.000 One of the statements I made at the household yesterday was, 00:12:07.000 --> 00:12:11.000 there are no mirrors in heaven because God, whenever he wants to see his image, just looks at me. 00:12:13.000 --> 00:12:14.000 It's not true. 00:12:14.000 --> 00:12:15.000 Don't think there are no mirrors in heaven. 00:12:15.000 --> 00:12:17.000 Perhaps there are. Perhaps there are not. 00:12:17.000 --> 00:12:18.000 That's not the point. 00:12:21.000 --> 00:12:23.000 The point was that there are no mirrors in heaven 00:12:23.000 --> 00:12:27.000 because when God wants to take a selfie or he wants to look at what he looks like, 00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:36.000 he looks at any person who's born again and he sees in them his likeness and image in true righteousness and holiness. 00:12:40.000 --> 00:12:43.000 It's almost sacrilegious to say things like this. 00:12:43.000 --> 00:12:46.000 Because you think you're putting yourself on par with God? 00:12:46.000 --> 00:12:49.000 No. God put myself on par with him. 00:12:49.000 --> 00:12:50.000 Not in power. 00:12:52.000 --> 00:12:56.000 Not in omniscience, omnipresence, omni what? 00:12:56.000 --> 00:12:57.000 There's one more omni. 00:12:58.000 --> 00:13:00.000 Omnipresence? No. Not in this. 00:13:02.000 --> 00:13:04.000 But in his nature? Absolutely. 00:13:04.000 --> 00:13:06.000 That is the starting point. 00:13:07.000 --> 00:13:08.000 We talked about this last time. 00:13:08.000 --> 00:13:11.000 If I don't think like this, I think it's natural for me to lie. 00:13:11.000 --> 00:13:13.000 It is abnormal for me to lie. 00:13:13.000 --> 00:13:16.000 If I don't think like this, I think it's natural for me to lie. 00:13:16.000 --> 00:13:22.000 If I don't think like this, I think it's natural for me to lust, to look at things on TV, look at women on the streets. 00:13:22.000 --> 00:13:26.000 It's not natural. It's abnormal for me. It's not natural. 00:13:26.000 --> 00:13:30.000 If I don't think like this, I think it will be natural to break a law here. 00:13:30.000 --> 00:13:33.000 Break an immigration law, break a tax law, break a road law. 00:13:33.000 --> 00:13:36.000 Break a law. Don't stop for three seconds at a stop sign. 00:13:36.000 --> 00:13:41.000 Whatever. You'll think it's natural for you to do so because the world says it's completely okay. 00:13:41.000 --> 00:13:43.000 Haven't you heard the statement? 00:13:43.000 --> 00:13:46.000 After all, we are all sinners. Really? 00:13:46.000 --> 00:13:48.000 That's our best line? 00:13:49.000 --> 00:13:55.000 After all, we are, I'm only human. I'm just a man. 00:13:55.000 --> 00:13:56.000 True. 00:13:57.000 --> 00:14:01.000 But like I said last week, it is true that I sin. 00:14:01.000 --> 00:14:08.000 It is still truer that I am not bound to the nature of sin. 00:14:08.000 --> 00:14:09.000 Sin. 00:14:11.000 --> 00:14:15.000 This is the starting point. That's why I'm stopping at it for so long. 00:14:17.000 --> 00:14:23.000 Hebrews 10 verse 16 actually says that I will write my laws on your heart. 00:14:23.000 --> 00:14:26.000 I will write my ways on your mind. 00:14:26.000 --> 00:14:33.000 God literally is saying, hey, when you got born again, I gave you a certain new mind and a way of thinking, Jacob, 00:14:33.000 --> 00:14:36.000 that it's natural for you to behave like me. 00:14:38.000 --> 00:14:42.000 I mean, since this teaching has started, at least in my life, 00:14:42.000 --> 00:14:50.000 I've enjoyed practicing it, enjoyed not behaving a certain way that is so reflexive for me, 00:14:50.000 --> 00:14:52.000 where as soon as something happens, there's a reaction. 00:14:52.000 --> 00:14:57.000 I don't need to react that way anymore. I don't have to. It's brilliant. 00:14:57.000 --> 00:15:03.000 It's not normal for me to do things that are wrong. It's abnormal for me. 00:15:03.000 --> 00:15:05.000 It's abnormal for me. 00:15:07.000 --> 00:15:10.000 Abnormal. When I do something wrong, I scratch my head saying, 00:15:10.000 --> 00:15:13.000 that's not normal for you, Jacob. Why are you behaving like that? 00:15:13.000 --> 00:15:17.000 You have a brand new spirit. You have the Holy Spirit living in you. 00:15:17.000 --> 00:15:21.000 You have the mind of Christ, the ways of thinking that are Christ-like. 00:15:21.000 --> 00:15:24.000 Guys, don't go off to sleep. Some of you are beginning to feel tired. 00:15:24.000 --> 00:15:27.000 Don't go off to sleep. You have what it takes to stay awake. 00:15:27.000 --> 00:15:32.000 Or else you'll have to listen to the CD twice, which means two hours of listening 00:15:32.000 --> 00:15:35.000 when you could actually listen here and then listen to it only once. 00:15:35.000 --> 00:15:37.000 I hope that sold you. 00:15:38.000 --> 00:15:44.000 So, renovate your thinking pathways. Renovate your thinking pathways. 00:15:44.000 --> 00:15:50.000 It's like renovating a house. You call Wayne and Elmer and they'll renovate your house. 00:15:50.000 --> 00:15:54.000 They can pick more than most young people carry. 00:15:54.000 --> 00:15:59.000 They can carry Derek in one armpit and Don in the other armpit and still renovate a house. 00:16:02.000 --> 00:16:04.000 And even two. 00:16:04.000 --> 00:16:09.000 And so, to renovate pathways is to... 00:16:09.000 --> 00:16:11.000 That's the idea of renewing. 00:16:11.000 --> 00:16:18.000 Stopping the way I used to function and completely renovating my thinking pathways. 00:16:18.000 --> 00:16:22.000 Renovating the principles I live by. Renovating my default mindsets. 00:16:22.000 --> 00:16:28.000 How do we do it? The first scripture that we look at to do it is Romans 12.12, which all of us know. 00:16:28.000 --> 00:16:33.000 Romans 12.2, sorry. Romans 12.2. And it says, do not be conformed. 00:16:33.000 --> 00:16:49.000 Do not be conformed to the world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:01.000 Look at it this way. Jeevan, you want to just come up for a second? 00:17:07.000 --> 00:17:09.000 So, this is how it works, guys. 00:17:09.000 --> 00:17:18.000 So, born again believer who has gotten used to having an old self. 00:17:20.000 --> 00:17:24.000 And Jesus is saying, listen, I've already given you the mind of Christ. 00:17:24.000 --> 00:17:26.000 I've already given you a new self. 00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:29.000 So, why don't you take off your old self and stop wearing it? 00:17:29.000 --> 00:17:33.000 And so, he decides, okay, he's going to take off his old self. 00:17:33.000 --> 00:17:39.000 When he takes off his old self, he's got a new self, and very clearly says, no more excuses. 00:17:44.000 --> 00:17:46.000 Now, what do you do? 00:17:46.000 --> 00:17:53.000 What he can do is, every time pressures come on him, he picks up his old self and begins to think like this. 00:17:54.000 --> 00:17:57.000 When there's no money, he picks up his old self. 00:17:57.000 --> 00:18:01.000 When there are sicknesses, he picks up his old self. 00:18:01.000 --> 00:18:05.000 When there is pressure, he picks up his old self. 00:18:05.000 --> 00:18:08.000 When speaking the truth will cost him, he picks up his old self. 00:18:08.000 --> 00:18:12.000 When someone does better than him, he picks up his old self. 00:18:12.000 --> 00:18:16.000 When someone gets an accolade that they don't deserve, he picks up his old self. 00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:19.000 When all along, God is saying, put off. 00:18:19.000 --> 00:18:21.000 See, he's already zipping it up. 00:18:22.000 --> 00:18:24.000 Put off the old self. 00:18:26.000 --> 00:18:34.000 And put on the new self, and the new self, guys, I know this is funny, but this is what... 00:18:34.000 --> 00:18:37.000 Tell you what, I'm going to make everybody this t-shirt in this church. 00:18:37.000 --> 00:18:39.000 No more excuses. 00:18:39.000 --> 00:18:41.000 No more excuses. 00:18:43.000 --> 00:18:48.000 And so, everything that you and I... just stay for a little while. 00:18:51.000 --> 00:19:00.000 Everything that you and I are struggling with is because we go back to an old way of thinking. 00:19:02.000 --> 00:19:04.000 We go back to an old way of thinking. 00:19:04.000 --> 00:19:08.000 And we have worn this for so long that we think it's natural. 00:19:09.000 --> 00:19:11.000 I was using this example of a man. 00:19:11.000 --> 00:19:15.000 Let's assume that Jeevan had a withered... 00:19:15.000 --> 00:19:17.000 No, let's not pick on Jeevan. 00:19:17.000 --> 00:19:19.000 A man has a withered... you can sit. 00:19:19.000 --> 00:19:20.000 You can sit. 00:19:21.000 --> 00:19:23.000 Very good, I was testing you. 00:19:23.000 --> 00:19:25.000 But just in case you get cold. 00:19:30.000 --> 00:19:31.000 Yeah. 00:19:31.000 --> 00:19:35.000 Guys, it's like a man who had a withered hand. 00:19:35.000 --> 00:19:36.000 Born with a withered hand. 00:19:36.000 --> 00:19:39.000 For 40 years, he's had a withered hand. 00:19:39.000 --> 00:19:46.000 And so, he's gotten so used to using his right hand to write, to pick up stuff, to reach for the mic. 00:19:46.000 --> 00:19:47.000 He's used his right hand. 00:19:47.000 --> 00:19:50.000 It's his strong hand. 00:19:50.000 --> 00:19:53.000 Then one day, along comes this brilliant doctor who says, 00:19:53.000 --> 00:19:58.000 I've discovered the ultimate bionic arm that looks completely human. 00:19:58.000 --> 00:19:59.000 And I want to do that for you. 00:19:59.000 --> 00:20:06.000 And so, he takes this guy with a withered arm and attaches a bionic arm that looks completely human, 00:20:06.000 --> 00:20:11.000 is super strong and can do anything that a human arm does plus more. 00:20:11.000 --> 00:20:13.000 And so, this guy comes back with a bionic arm. 00:20:13.000 --> 00:20:14.000 But guess what? 00:20:14.000 --> 00:20:16.000 He's got this bionic arm. 00:20:16.000 --> 00:20:22.000 But he's so used to his right hand that even though this arm is fully functioning, 00:20:22.000 --> 00:20:24.000 he still reaches across like this. 00:20:24.000 --> 00:20:25.000 He still does this. 00:20:25.000 --> 00:20:26.000 He still does this. 00:20:26.000 --> 00:20:27.000 Why? Use the sword of the spirit. 00:38:20.940 --> 00:38:22.940 What in the world does that mean? 00:38:22.940 --> 00:38:25.940 Go to the word and find out what God says about envy. 00:38:25.940 --> 00:38:30.940 So I go look, and there's one scripture that leaps out at me, it's in Galatians. 00:38:30.940 --> 00:38:37.940 It says, if you continue in your envy and bitterness, you will devour and consume each other. 00:38:37.940 --> 00:38:39.940 And so I read it. 00:38:39.940 --> 00:38:44.940 And so once I read it, here's the next stage, Galatians 3.5. 00:38:44.940 --> 00:38:46.940 How do miracles happen in your life? 00:38:46.940 --> 00:38:55.940 Miracles happen by hearing the word and believing what you hear. 00:38:55.940 --> 00:39:00.940 It doesn't happen through just repeatedly taking part in an action. 00:39:00.940 --> 00:39:02.940 It doesn't happen through praying. 00:39:02.940 --> 00:39:07.940 It happens through hearing the word and believing what you hear. 00:39:07.940 --> 00:39:10.940 So I read this word from Galatians 5.16. 00:39:10.940 --> 00:39:15.940 And in Galatians 5.16 it actually says, if you continue in your bitterness and your envy, Jacob, 00:39:15.940 --> 00:39:17.940 you're going to end up consuming each other. 00:39:17.940 --> 00:39:20.940 You will be devoured and the other person will be devoured too. 00:39:20.940 --> 00:39:22.940 And so I actually heard this word. 00:39:22.940 --> 00:39:23.940 I read it out to myself. 00:39:23.940 --> 00:39:26.940 After reading it out to myself, I started trusting it. 00:39:26.940 --> 00:39:29.940 God, when you say something like that, you actually mean it. 00:39:29.940 --> 00:39:34.940 Then I found other scriptures that began to help me recognize God as the giver. 00:39:34.940 --> 00:39:38.940 I found another scripture which said, that love your neighbor as you love yourself. 00:39:38.940 --> 00:39:44.940 And as I began to read these scriptures, I actually began to trust that God has the ability to take these words 00:39:44.940 --> 00:39:48.940 and work a miracle in my heart where my envy will be replaced. 00:39:48.940 --> 00:39:51.940 How long did it take me? It took me two hours, man. 00:39:51.940 --> 00:39:57.940 But in two hours, I was able to completely shed the envy I had 00:39:57.940 --> 00:40:02.940 and started praying blessing upon this person even loudly in the presence of his family. 00:40:05.940 --> 00:40:07.940 So did it take work? Yes, it did. 00:40:07.940 --> 00:40:09.940 But was it worth it?
