00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:14.040
Welcome back everyone. Find your seat or find a new seat. Find any seat. Nick, can you get people to come back?

00:00:14.040 --> 00:00:16.040
Merci beaucoup.

00:00:17.040 --> 00:00:30.040
Okay, so as people come back, this morning we have Betty and Don who will be teaching us.

00:00:30.040 --> 00:00:50.040
All right, people are trickling in. I think everyone's here. So yeah, Betty and Don this morning will be teaching us.

00:00:50.040 --> 00:00:54.040
Over to you Betty.

00:00:54.040 --> 00:01:01.040
Thank you. Okay, let's begin with a word, a prayer. Let's begin with a word of prayer.

00:01:01.040 --> 00:01:06.040
Father, we just want to acknowledge your presence with us. Father, you have a message for all of us here.

00:01:06.040 --> 00:01:14.040
A message that you will speak into our hearts. So I pray for all our hearts to be ready to receive the seed of your knowledge of your goodness.

00:01:14.040 --> 00:01:21.040
So that we may become the people that you want us to be. One that's after your heart and after those around us.

00:01:21.040 --> 00:01:29.040
So anoint my lips, Father anoint the lips of Don so that we may speak your life into this congregation and let it overflow into the world around us.

00:01:29.040 --> 00:01:39.040
In Jesus name we pray. Amen. And so just to continue with what Evan spoke this morning.

00:01:39.040 --> 00:01:45.040
To no longer be conformed to the pattern of the world. How do we do that? How do we do that?

00:01:45.040 --> 00:01:56.040
We can do it because Christ is in us. And we can do it because we can be relentless. And that's the topic for today. Relentlessness.

00:01:56.040 --> 00:02:07.040
When a people agree with God, when we say, hey God, I agree with you. I agree with who Jesus is.

00:02:07.040 --> 00:02:28.040
I agree with your plan for the world. When people agree with God, Jesus comes in and he transforms the hundreds of small, tiny, micro, daily decisions that we make.

00:02:28.040 --> 00:02:39.040
And in transforming those small, daily decisions we make, he turns it into a powerful tsunami of change.

00:02:39.040 --> 00:02:46.040
A powerful tsunami of change. Where we dismantle Satan's power with these blows.

00:02:46.040 --> 00:02:53.040
An example of this is in 1989, the Berlin Wall was brought down. Do you know how it was brought down?

00:02:53.040 --> 00:03:01.040
It wasn't through extravagant power. It wasn't through strategy. It wasn't through fighting with our bodies.

00:03:01.040 --> 00:03:12.040
It was brought down by 800,000 blows of prayer. 800,000 blows of prayer over 48 hours.

00:03:12.040 --> 00:03:21.040
The prayer of the people. 800,000 individual what might seem insignificant blows.

00:03:21.040 --> 00:03:29.040
But whatever we place in the hands of God, whatever God breathes is significant.

00:03:29.040 --> 00:03:41.040
Is significant. So we must learn to be relentless. To act in unfazed obedience with endurance and expectation.

00:03:41.040 --> 00:03:48.040
So what is relentlessness? What is relentlessness?

00:03:48.040 --> 00:03:57.040
It is a dynamic and deliberate process of seeking out or hunting which needs to be changed.

00:03:57.040 --> 00:04:01.040
I'm going to write this down. I think this is important.

00:04:01.040 --> 00:04:29.040
It is a dynamic and deliberate seeking out and hunting of what needs to be changed.

00:04:29.040 --> 00:04:41.040
And how do we do this? Because it is hard to change. It is hard to seek. It's hard to see ourselves sometimes.

00:04:41.040 --> 00:04:47.040
Sometimes we don't want to admit that we have things to change. But when we do, how do we go about it?

00:04:47.040 --> 00:04:55.040
Well we can go about it in three ways. We can be relentless against imposing odds by one, grasping his presence.

00:04:55.040 --> 00:05:00.040
We grasp the presence of God which gives us the courage to persist.

00:05:00.040 --> 00:05:09.040
So one, the presence of God.

00:05:09.040 --> 00:05:20.040
Which gives the courage to change. Courage to change.

00:05:20.040 --> 00:05:27.040
Okay, look at Paul's life. If you look at Paul's life and his walk with the Lord.

00:05:27.040 --> 00:05:33.040
If you look in the book of Corinthians, and there's a lot of examples in the book of Corinthians.

00:05:33.040 --> 00:05:40.040
I'm going to read out to you the things in Paul's life.

00:05:40.040 --> 00:05:46.040
Paul was hard pressed on every side. He was perplexed, persecuted, struck down and delivered to death.

00:05:46.040 --> 00:05:53.040
He was put in prison. He faced riots. He had to go many nights without sleep. He was often hungry and thirsty.

00:05:53.040 --> 00:05:59.040
Sometimes he didn't have any clothes to wear. He got cold. He was slandered. He was sad.

00:05:59.040 --> 00:06:06.040
He was whipped as a punishment by the Jews five times. He was beaten with sticks three times. He was stoned and left for dead.

00:06:06.040 --> 00:06:12.040
He was shipwrecked three times. He was left lounging in the ocean for 24 hours.

00:06:12.040 --> 00:06:17.040
He faced robbers. His friends left him. Some of the churches he founded rejected him.

00:06:17.040 --> 00:06:23.040
How do you persist in that? How do you continue to be relentless in that?

00:06:23.040 --> 00:06:29.040
For king and kingdom, how do you do that? You carry with you the presence of God.

00:06:29.040 --> 00:06:36.040
I could do all things through God who strengthens me, right? So his presence gives us courage to persist.

00:06:36.040 --> 00:06:42.040
Secondly, how can we be relentless? We can be relentless by grasping onto his permission.

00:06:42.040 --> 00:06:48.040
His permission which fuels fearless passion.

00:06:48.040 --> 00:06:56.040
Permission fuels fearless passion.

00:06:56.040 --> 00:07:05.040
I'm a teacher, for those of you who don't know, and I have to give permission.

00:07:05.040 --> 00:07:11.040
To my students, they need a piece of paper. They ask permission.

00:07:11.040 --> 00:07:17.040
They need to go to the bathroom. They ask permission. And when I say yes, you can go to the bathroom.

00:07:17.040 --> 00:07:23.040
Yes, you can go get that piece of paper. They go. And they know they can do it.

00:07:23.040 --> 00:07:31.040
But when they go without my permission, they're fearful because they know they shouldn't have gone.

00:07:31.040 --> 00:07:37.040
So when we have permission, what we have is we have God's authorization. We have his consent.

00:07:37.040 --> 00:07:43.040
We are allowed to walk into greater measure.

00:07:43.040 --> 00:07:49.040
We are allowed and given permission to do hard things and succeed.

00:07:49.040 --> 00:07:58.040
We are allowed and given authorization to encounter the unfamiliar and the unknown and overcome.

00:07:59.040 --> 00:08:05.040
Permission is a question that we all ask ourselves or we ask our friends in the quiet of our homes.

00:08:05.040 --> 00:08:13.040
What would you do if you know you cannot fail? That is permission.

00:08:13.040 --> 00:08:19.040
And thirdly, we can be relentless by grasping onto his purpose,

00:08:20.040 --> 00:08:24.040
his purpose, which forges discipline and habit.

00:08:24.040 --> 00:08:36.040
So his purpose, which helps forge discipline and habit.

00:08:36.040 --> 00:08:44.040
So purpose is our raison d'etre, the reason for our being.

00:08:44.040 --> 00:08:48.040
Purpose is the why of what we do.

00:08:48.040 --> 00:08:56.040
And for achieving this end, when we have a purpose, we have a reason for ordering our lives around him.

00:08:56.040 --> 00:09:03.040
We have a reason for making changes, engaging in disciplines that direct our hearts to him.

00:09:03.040 --> 00:09:11.040
Because I value him. I'm compelled to do everything that I can to meet him.

00:09:11.040 --> 00:09:21.040
So having purpose, I can forge, it helps me forge discipline and habit.

00:09:21.040 --> 00:09:25.040
So in the present time, we need to be relentless.

00:09:25.040 --> 00:09:31.040
We need to be relentless in pursuit. We need to be relentless in loving kindness.

00:09:31.040 --> 00:09:35.040
We need to be relentless contending and seeking justice.

00:09:36.040 --> 00:09:43.040
Okay. Can I erase this? Continue.

00:09:43.040 --> 00:09:47.040
Okay. And...

00:09:51.040 --> 00:09:54.040
Relentless in pursuit.

00:09:54.040 --> 00:10:12.040
Okay. When we engage in the pursuit of God, I loved how Evan said,

00:10:12.040 --> 00:10:18.040
why do we do the things that we don't want to do? Like, why do we cook?

00:10:18.040 --> 00:10:22.040
He doesn't like to cook. I don't like to cook. But why do we cook? Well, because we're hungry.

00:10:22.040 --> 00:10:29.040
We're hungry. And so when we engage in the pursuit of God, an appetite for God will be awakened.

00:10:29.040 --> 00:10:36.040
An appetite for God will be awakened. And usually we have an appetite for what we desire.

00:10:36.040 --> 00:10:45.040
Right? If we desire God, he has our attention. When I desire beauty and skin care.

00:10:45.040 --> 00:10:52.040
And that stuff always gets my attention. Like, I could be doing something that I really like,

00:10:52.040 --> 00:10:57.040
like watching a TV show, but there is an ad or something pops up on my Instagram about beauty and skin care.

00:10:57.040 --> 00:11:03.040
Everything. My mind goes there. Right? And anything I pay attention to affects my feelings.

00:11:03.040 --> 00:11:09.040
My affections for it is very evident. Right? You spend time, you spend energy.

00:11:09.040 --> 00:11:19.040
And usually your feelings are very positive. Okay? And if your attention and your feelings are towards God,

00:11:19.040 --> 00:11:27.040
then his successes and his losses will be like your own. Right? In the beauty industry, when the prices go up, I'm sad.

00:11:27.040 --> 00:11:35.040
Right? When there's a sale, I'm happy. Right? And it absolutely in all things governs my directions.

00:11:35.040 --> 00:11:44.040
It governs my directions. Because if I desire something, like I said before, it will determine what I do with my money.

00:11:44.040 --> 00:11:51.040
It will determine what I do with my time and my talent. And if my desire is God, that's a litmus test, guys.

00:11:51.040 --> 00:11:57.040
If your desire is God, where do you think all your money and time and thoughts and energies go?

00:11:57.040 --> 00:12:04.040
Where does it go? To him, to his kingdom. Right? And so the strongest Christians are the hungriest Christians.

00:12:04.040 --> 00:12:09.040
They have the biggest appetite for God. And the amazing, wonderful thing about that,

00:12:09.040 --> 00:12:17.040
hopeful thing about that is that God always satisfies. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

00:12:17.040 --> 00:12:24.040
for right relationship, for intimacies with God. Because they will be filled. They will be filled.

00:12:25.040 --> 00:12:37.040
And when you're the most satisfied by him, in him, you will inadvertently, by accident, glorify him. Okay?

00:12:37.040 --> 00:12:44.040
When you're the most satisfied in God, you will accidentally, inadvertently, inevitably glorify him.

00:12:44.040 --> 00:12:51.040
Because you always, always glorify what you're the most satisfied with. Right? We do that all the time.

00:12:51.040 --> 00:12:58.040
I think you've heard this before. When I have a good experience at a restaurant, what do I do? I talk about it.

00:12:58.040 --> 00:13:06.040
I make recommendations. Suddenly, when you have an experience that's life-changing, you become a witness. Right?

00:13:06.040 --> 00:13:11.040
I love this restaurant. This is amazing. This product, blah, blah, blah. We do this all the time.

00:13:11.040 --> 00:13:16.040
And with God, it's the same. When he satisfies us, we glorify him.

00:13:16.040 --> 00:13:23.040
And he will satisfy you because your hunger for him is strong. And what you hunger for reveals your heart.

00:13:23.040 --> 00:13:30.040
In Matthew 6, 21, it says, For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.

00:13:30.040 --> 00:13:35.040
What do you think of all day long? Where does your mind go when it has a moment to itself?

00:13:36.040 --> 00:13:44.040
When you are not able to acquire that thing, when that thing cannot come to pass, it will haunt you.

00:13:44.040 --> 00:13:51.040
It will hurt you because that's the nature of hunger. Hunger pains us.

00:13:51.040 --> 00:13:58.040
Do you hunger after the Lord? Does it pain you that you went about your task, your decisions, your day, your moment?

00:13:58.040 --> 00:14:02.040
Does it pain you that you did it without him? Does it hurt you that he went about your task, your decisions, your day, your moment?

00:14:02.040 --> 00:14:08.040
Does it hurt you that he is not the center of your world?

00:14:08.040 --> 00:14:16.040
And the positive thing about all this, the thing that just shows the graciousness of God, is that we can ask God.

00:14:16.040 --> 00:14:24.040
We can go before our God and say, Father, I don't have this hunger. Father, I'm lacking in this area, but I know in my head

00:14:24.040 --> 00:14:31.040
that what you are and who you are to the world and your plans for the world is good.

00:14:31.040 --> 00:14:39.040
Father, give me a hunger. Give me a hunger. Replace the hunger that I have for other things for the hunger for you.

00:14:39.040 --> 00:14:46.040
In Psalm 63 it says, Oh God, you are my God. Earnestly I seek you. My soul thirsts after you.

00:14:46.040 --> 00:14:53.040
My flesh faints for you as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

00:14:53.040 --> 00:14:59.040
Because your steadfast love is better than life. My lips will praise. So I will bless you as long as I live.

00:14:59.040 --> 00:15:06.040
In your name I will lift up my hands. Okay? And when we get to that point, when we say, you know what, Father,

00:15:06.040 --> 00:15:14.040
Father, I am hungry for you now. Father, I hunger for you. Then you can begin to discipline your body.

00:15:14.040 --> 00:15:20.040
A lot of times we go backwards. We're like, Father, I want to discipline myself for you so I can get to the place of hunger.

00:15:20.040 --> 00:15:27.040
No, that's putting the cart before the horse. We need to ask for hunger first.

00:15:27.040 --> 00:15:33.040
And when we are hungry, then we can discipline the body. We can discipline. I have reason now, right?

00:15:33.040 --> 00:15:39.040
Now that I'm hungry, I have reason. Now that I'm hungry, I will cook. Okay?

00:15:39.040 --> 00:15:45.040
I have reason now to redirect my attention, to redirect my affections for Him.

00:15:45.040 --> 00:15:52.040
I will take all of it from my body, my mind, and my soul, aligned up to seek after Him. Right?

00:15:52.040 --> 00:15:58.040
Because I long to be satisfied now. I long to be satisfied by my first love.

00:15:58.040 --> 00:16:06.040
So when I'm relentless in my pursuit of God, I hunger for Him. I replace all things that are not of God.

00:16:06.040 --> 00:16:11.040
I locate all things that get in the way of my first love.

00:16:11.040 --> 00:16:20.040
Then I ruthlessly sell off all the things that are not of His nature or hinder my pursuit of Him.

00:16:20.040 --> 00:16:33.040
So I pursue Him, and then I locate. Okay? What are the things that are in the way?

00:16:34.040 --> 00:16:38.040
And then I sell off.

00:16:42.040 --> 00:16:48.040
Okay? Say goodbye to the things that are not of Him, not from His nature.

00:16:48.040 --> 00:16:53.040
Okay? And some of these things are very innate to who we are.

00:16:53.040 --> 00:17:04.040
Some of the things that I need to sell off have made me successful, that have helped me in my journey, like my pride. Right?

00:17:04.040 --> 00:17:12.040
Maybe the way I've always done things was good, and I like the way I do things. Maybe I have to cast that off.

00:17:12.040 --> 00:17:20.040
Maybe it's what I know, because I'm pretty intelligent. I may be an expert in my area. I know more than the people around me.

00:17:20.040 --> 00:17:36.040
My experience, that thing. Okay? Comfort. Comfort has driven a lot of us from stepping out. Inconvenience.

00:17:36.040 --> 00:17:44.040
What about your dreams? What about the things that you've held your breath for for a long, long time?

00:17:45.040 --> 00:17:50.040
Can you sell that off? Does it hinder you from your God?

00:17:50.040 --> 00:18:01.040
What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.

00:18:01.040 --> 00:18:10.040
I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. And it will be a fight. Right? Obviously.

00:18:10.040 --> 00:18:15.040
It will be a fight because it's hard. We like these things. They have helped us at one point.

00:18:15.040 --> 00:18:24.040
But we need to get to a place where we're relentlessly trimming away the things so that I could depend fully on the Lord.

00:18:29.040 --> 00:18:36.040
And so once you have done that, once you've relinquished the things not of God, you then can engage with Him.

00:18:36.040 --> 00:18:46.040
And fight. Okay. Engage. You can wrestle with Him.

00:18:48.040 --> 00:18:59.040
Then you can engage with God of the things of God. You can wrestle for the things of His heart. For the nations. For the lost.

00:18:59.040 --> 00:19:05.040
You can be bold to contend with your God. Because when you get to the place where you want what God wants, you will fight for it.

00:19:05.040 --> 00:19:11.040
Naturally, it will just become a part of you. Like, I want what you want. It's not happening. Let's go.

00:19:11.040 --> 00:19:17.040
Father, Father your people. Father your nations. Father, my neighbor.

00:19:17.040 --> 00:19:24.040
Okay? And in this, in all of this, please continue to eat of His presence.

00:19:24.040 --> 00:19:31.040
Eat of His presence. Now what does that mean? Eat of His presence.

00:19:31.040 --> 00:19:40.040
That means to continue to engage with Him in intimacy. To go deeper with Him. To want more of Him.

00:19:40.040 --> 00:19:48.040
More depth. More time. More reading into His Word. More hearing of Him. Seeking Him out. More resting in His presence.

00:19:49.040 --> 00:19:57.040
And once you have been filled with intimacy, once you are brimming over with intimacy, then you can pour out.

00:19:57.040 --> 00:20:04.040
You can pour out to the world around you. And you can pursue those that God pursues.

00:20:04.040 --> 00:20:11.040
And you can pursue.

00:20:11.040 --> 00:20:18.040
So that's relentlessness and pursue. Being relentless and trimming away.

00:20:18.040 --> 00:20:23.040
Casting away the things that hinder us so that we can be with our God.

00:20:23.040 --> 00:20:29.040
We can engage with our God for the things of His heart. For the things of His people.

00:20:29.040 --> 00:20:36.040
Okay. Next. Relentlessness in loving kindness. Relentlessness in loving kindness.

00:20:36.040 --> 00:20:41.040
In Genesis chapter 3 verse 9.

00:20:41.040 --> 00:20:45.040
The Lord God then called to the man and asked, Where are you?

00:20:45.040 --> 00:20:53.040
At this point in the story, Adam had sinned against the Lord, Adam and Eve, and they have eaten the fruit that they should not have.

00:20:53.040 --> 00:20:58.040
In this story, God demonstrates loving kindness.

00:20:58.040 --> 00:21:07.040
It's the word, chased. And it combines the ideas of unconditional love, generosity, enduring commitment.

00:21:07.040 --> 00:21:13.040
God immediately seeks out the man who is hiding and trying to cover his shame.

00:21:13.040 --> 00:21:17.040
It's the seeking out and restoring.

00:21:18.040 --> 00:21:23.040
He asks that of us. He asks us to be relentless in this.

00:21:23.040 --> 00:21:30.040
Because in our loving kindness, we are like Jesus. We are being just like Jesus.

00:21:30.040 --> 00:21:35.040
And these three aspects interact at once. There's strength, there's steadfastness, and there's love.

00:21:35.040 --> 00:21:41.040
Strength, steadfastness, and love.

00:21:41.040 --> 00:21:52.040
Okay. For those of you who like to take notes, and for me, who is trying not to be nervous,

00:21:52.040 --> 00:21:57.040
Relentlessness in loving kindness. Here we go.

00:21:57.040 --> 00:22:07.040
Okay. Strength, steadfastness, and I know this, loyal love.

00:22:07.040 --> 00:22:26.040
Okay. Strength, steadfastness, and I know this, loyal love.

00:22:26.040 --> 00:22:33.040
Jesus demonstrated this on the cross. In his whole life, actually. His whole life.

00:22:33.040 --> 00:22:37.040
But most significantly, that's easier to see, is on the cross, right?

00:22:37.040 --> 00:22:44.040
The strength that he displayed when he bore the sins of man, the steadfastness of his nature to complete his work,

00:22:44.040 --> 00:22:50.040
And also his loyal love for his father. Loyal love for his father.

00:22:50.040 --> 00:22:54.040
Okay. And we hear of this loving kindness every morning.

00:22:54.040 --> 00:22:57.040
In Psalms 143, 8, it says,

00:23:03.040 --> 00:23:12.040
God does this for us whether we acknowledge it or not.

00:23:12.040 --> 00:23:17.040
God always shows up every morning. His mercies are new every morning. His presence is with us every morning.

00:23:17.040 --> 00:23:23.040
Every morning he shows up, he shows up, he shows up. Are we aware of it? Are we aware of it?

00:23:23.040 --> 00:23:28.040
Right? Because we become dull to it. Sometimes when someone's nice to us for too long,

00:23:28.040 --> 00:23:36.040
We know we don't really value it. That's why girls like bad boys, right? We don't value it.

00:23:36.040 --> 00:23:41.040
And so he commands us in Psalms 42, 8,

00:23:41.040 --> 00:23:47.040
The Lord will send his faithful love by day. His song will be with us in the night.

00:23:47.040 --> 00:23:52.040
A prayer to the God of my life. Do we pray to the Lord? Do we thank him?

00:23:52.040 --> 00:23:59.040
Do we acknowledge him with our words? Do we do that? We must recognize it.

00:23:59.040 --> 00:24:04.040
We have to recognize it to receive it. When we receive it, then we can release it.

00:24:04.040 --> 00:24:08.040
So loving kindness is ours. It has always been ours.

00:24:08.040 --> 00:24:13.040
And so the greatest thing you can do for your father is to be kind to others.

00:24:13.040 --> 00:24:17.040
We are kind to others that are made in his image. I teach at a Christian school,

00:24:17.040 --> 00:24:21.040
So I'm able to like speak Bible truth to the kids. And I asked my children,

00:24:21.040 --> 00:24:25.040
I said, how can you show kindness to others? No, no. How do you show kindness to God?

00:24:25.040 --> 00:24:29.040
I said, God's invisible. How do you show kindness to God? And they're like, prayer?

00:24:29.040 --> 00:24:36.040
And I'm like, no. Right? Read the Bible. I'm like, no.

00:24:36.040 --> 00:24:40.040
I didn't use that tone, but in my head I was like, no.

00:24:40.040 --> 00:24:44.040
I'm like, but he's invisible. He's invisible. I said, can you hug the Lord?

00:24:44.040 --> 00:24:47.040
No, you can't hug the Lord. Can you give the Lord a glass of water?

00:24:47.040 --> 00:24:51.040
I'm like, how do you show love to an invisible God?

00:24:51.040 --> 00:24:56.040
Oh my God, I'm stumped. And I think sometimes we get stumped too.

00:24:56.040 --> 00:25:03.040
You show love to an invisible God by loving his people, because his people,

00:25:03.040 --> 00:25:09.040
all people actually, because every person is the image bearer of God.

00:25:09.040 --> 00:25:14.040
And then the righteous will answer him, Lord, when do we see you hungry and feed you?

00:25:14.040 --> 00:25:20.040
Or thirsty or give you something to drink? When do we see you a stranger and invite you in?

00:25:20.040 --> 00:25:27.040
Or needing clothes and clothe you? When do we see you sick in prison and go visit you?

00:25:27.040 --> 00:25:34.040
Hmm. We can love an invisible God by loving the people around us who are visible,

00:25:34.040 --> 00:25:38.040
who are needy, who are before us.

00:25:38.040 --> 00:25:43.040
The king replied, truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters

00:25:43.040 --> 00:25:47.040
remind you did for me.

00:25:47.040 --> 00:25:52.040
And loving kindness shows an unbidden generosity and is tender hearted,

00:25:52.040 --> 00:26:00.040
especially in today's world. There's indifference, there's hostility.

00:26:00.040 --> 00:26:06.040
The quality of kindness leads people to God and it leads people to change.

00:26:06.040 --> 00:26:09.040
And that's in Romans 2.4.

00:26:09.040 --> 00:26:15.040
People are not interested in the God who requires you to follow all these rules.

00:26:15.040 --> 00:26:20.040
We know this. We are personally turned off by this.

00:26:20.040 --> 00:26:27.040
And yet sometimes we go forth and unwittingly we demonstrate that to others.

00:26:27.040 --> 00:26:32.040
There is a deficit of patience. There is a deficit of compassion.

00:26:32.040 --> 00:26:39.040
There is a deficit of tenderness in this world. So when we are kind, we are counter-cultural.

00:26:39.040 --> 00:26:46.040
When we show love and generosity, people are refreshed and they want to know why

00:26:46.040 --> 00:26:49.040
and they want to seek after it.

00:26:49.040 --> 00:26:54.040
So loving kindness turns people to Christ.

00:26:54.040 --> 00:26:58.040
Loving kindness changes others.

00:26:58.040 --> 00:27:06.040
And loving kindness also does something for you.

00:27:06.040 --> 00:27:12.040
Loving kindness allows God to intertwine you into the life of others.

00:27:12.040 --> 00:27:20.040
And when we are intertwined with God into the life of others, we shape destiny.

00:27:20.040 --> 00:27:26.040
We shape the future. All parents know this. All parents know this.

00:27:26.040 --> 00:27:30.040
Your loving kindness towards your children impacts their future and well-being.

00:27:30.040 --> 00:27:38.040
You pour into them, you pour into them with the expressed hope that they live a better and greater life than you.

00:27:38.040 --> 00:27:41.040
Right? It's natural.

00:27:41.040 --> 00:27:48.040
But what do you think will happen when we partner with God for the sake of His children?

00:27:48.040 --> 00:27:57.040
When we are deliberate in our submission to God with our time and attention, in our care and our affections,

00:27:57.040 --> 00:28:02.040
we can also change the lives of others and their destinies.

00:28:02.040 --> 00:28:10.040
Parenting is how God intertwines your life with others.

00:28:10.040 --> 00:28:17.040
And loving kindness dismantles the oppression of the kingdom of darkness.

00:28:17.040 --> 00:28:21.040
The enemy comes to steal, to kill, and destroy.

00:28:21.040 --> 00:28:25.040
And loving kindness seeks to restore and redeem.

00:28:25.040 --> 00:28:30.040
It opposes the desolation that the enemy brings.

00:28:30.040 --> 00:28:34.040
So in Jeremiah 2, 2, it says, God says, I remember your kindness.

00:28:34.040 --> 00:28:38.040
What does God remember of your kindness?

00:28:38.040 --> 00:28:41.040
How were you kind last week?

00:28:41.040 --> 00:28:44.040
How have you shown kindness to God?

00:28:44.040 --> 00:28:47.040
To the ones who bears His image.

00:28:47.040 --> 00:28:52.040
Okay. Done.

00:29:01.040 --> 00:29:03.040
Thank you, Betty.

00:29:03.040 --> 00:29:06.040
Do you want to take your notes? I don't need your notes. I'm just looking.

00:29:06.040 --> 00:29:11.040
Do you have any questions for Betty?

00:29:11.040 --> 00:29:15.040
Because I cannot answer them.

00:29:15.040 --> 00:29:18.040
No? Everything is clear? Cool.

00:29:18.040 --> 00:29:20.040
So I'm going to continue on what she said.

00:29:20.040 --> 00:29:28.040
So she said, relentless in pursuit, then relentless in loving kindness.

00:29:28.040 --> 00:29:36.040
So the next thing, so once you have these two factors, then the next thing is relentless in, what is it?

00:29:36.040 --> 00:29:42.040
Contenting. Relentless in contenting.

00:29:42.040 --> 00:29:45.040
I'm going to talk about God's nature here.

00:29:45.040 --> 00:29:49.040
So Isaiah chapter 49, verse 25.

00:29:49.040 --> 00:29:51.040
But this is what the Lord says.

00:29:51.040 --> 00:29:56.040
Yes, captives will be taken from warriors and plunder retrieved from the fears.

00:29:56.040 --> 00:30:02.040
I will content with those who content with you and your children I will save.

00:30:02.040 --> 00:30:09.040
God is saying, I will content with those who content with you and your children I will save.

00:30:09.040 --> 00:30:15.040
Every time God contents, there is a contenting for and there is a contenting against.

00:30:15.040 --> 00:30:22.040
God is going to content for me, for my sons, because I am His child.

00:30:22.040 --> 00:30:26.040
And He's going to content against anybody who comes against me.

00:30:26.040 --> 00:30:32.040
So if I am God's child, this nature is in me.

00:30:32.040 --> 00:30:36.040
This contenting nature is just part of me.

00:30:36.040 --> 00:30:41.040
Because every time we say, I become bored again, we take the very nicest things of Him.

00:30:41.040 --> 00:30:45.040
Oh, I love other people because God loves other people.

00:30:45.040 --> 00:30:49.040
But this contenting nature, we're like, okay, maybe not.

00:30:49.040 --> 00:30:51.040
I don't want that.

00:30:51.040 --> 00:30:57.040
But honestly, every time if God lives in you, every nature of His lives in you.

00:30:57.040 --> 00:31:01.040
Every nature of His comes through you.

00:31:01.040 --> 00:31:05.040
One such nature is contenting.

00:31:05.040 --> 00:31:10.040
It is His nature to content for His people.

00:31:10.040 --> 00:31:17.040
It is my nature to content for His people.

00:31:17.040 --> 00:31:22.040
To explain this, let's look at 1 Kings chapter 18, verses 36 to 46.

00:31:22.040 --> 00:31:27.040
1 Kings chapter 18, verses 36 to 46.

00:31:27.040 --> 00:31:30.040
So it's a long chapter.

00:31:30.040 --> 00:31:33.040
So I'm going to quickly go through the...

00:31:33.040 --> 00:31:36.040
Anybody knows which chapter I'm talking about?

00:31:36.040 --> 00:31:39.040
Nobody? Oh, you pagans.

00:31:39.040 --> 00:31:41.040
1 Kings chapter 18.

00:31:41.040 --> 00:31:44.040
So this is the portion where God tells Elijah,

00:31:44.040 --> 00:31:50.040
Hey, I'm going to send rain back because the country has been in drought for the last little while.

00:31:50.040 --> 00:31:54.040
There is no rain, so there is no food.

00:31:54.040 --> 00:31:59.040
And then God tells Elijah, hey, go back and tell them I'm going to bring rain in this land.

00:31:59.040 --> 00:32:01.040
And Elijah has been in hiding.

00:32:01.040 --> 00:32:05.040
So he goes and then he meets with King Ahab, which is a pretty bad king.

00:32:05.040 --> 00:32:08.040
He has a pretty bad wife, Jezebel.

00:32:08.040 --> 00:32:12.040
And so what's his name?

00:32:12.040 --> 00:32:22.040
Elijah then goes, tells him, hey, I am going to bring all your prophets of Baal.

00:32:22.040 --> 00:32:25.040
And then, you know, what happens?

00:32:25.040 --> 00:32:28.040
God displaces power.

00:32:28.040 --> 00:32:32.040
All of Baal's prophets are killed and slaughtered.

00:32:32.040 --> 00:32:34.040
So we're going to look at what happens after that.

00:32:34.040 --> 00:32:41.040
So soon after that, Elijah tells Ahab, hey, now you go back

00:32:41.040 --> 00:32:46.040
because I hear the sound of heavy rain.

00:32:46.040 --> 00:32:48.040
And so Ahab goes in.

00:32:48.040 --> 00:32:52.040
Elijah goes up Mount Carmel and he prays for rain.

00:32:52.040 --> 00:32:55.040
So this is what we're going to look at, OK?

00:32:55.040 --> 00:32:58.040
Is that a simple enough idea of chapter 18?

00:32:58.040 --> 00:33:00.040
OK, so this is what we're going to look at.

00:33:00.040 --> 00:33:05.040
So every time as a son, I'm going to do something that Elijah did.

00:33:05.040 --> 00:33:10.040
I'm going to content for the land, for the people.

00:33:10.040 --> 00:33:18.040
So just like Elijah contented for rain, I'm going to content for this land.

00:33:18.040 --> 00:33:22.040
Just like Elijah contented against Baal, the prophets of Baal,

00:33:22.040 --> 00:33:26.040
against Baal, against Ahab, and against Jezebel,

00:33:26.040 --> 00:33:34.040
I'm going to fight against the enemy who is trying to destroy his people.

00:33:34.040 --> 00:33:41.040
This is the nature of God that has to be evident through us.

00:33:41.040 --> 00:33:45.040
Kezi and I, we were actually talking last day about

00:33:45.040 --> 00:33:49.040
how this country was actually built on Christian principles.

00:33:49.040 --> 00:33:52.040
Everything about this country was built on Christian principles.

00:33:52.040 --> 00:33:55.040
And slowly deception crept in.

00:33:55.040 --> 00:33:59.040
Things slowly started to change.

00:33:59.040 --> 00:34:05.040
There was a marriage of this land with Jezebel.

00:34:05.040 --> 00:34:10.040
And through that, perversion crept in.

00:34:10.040 --> 00:34:16.040
As in Elijah, what would you do?

00:34:16.040 --> 00:34:19.040
We always close our eyes on things like this, guys.

00:34:19.040 --> 00:34:23.040
We're silent about things like this.

00:34:23.040 --> 00:34:26.040
Yahweh is not.

00:34:26.040 --> 00:34:28.040
The fighting warrior God is not.

00:34:28.040 --> 00:34:33.040
He fights for his people.

00:34:33.040 --> 00:34:36.040
Content for the land.

00:34:36.040 --> 00:34:40.040
In this present ravage, content against the deviance of Ahab,

00:34:40.040 --> 00:34:49.040
the sorcery of Jezebel, content for rain, and return to Yahweh.

00:34:49.040 --> 00:34:53.040
This has to be in our mind every time we go to Wall-E,

00:34:53.040 --> 00:34:55.040
every time we go to Victoria.

00:34:55.040 --> 00:34:57.040
You're contenting for people. You're not doing it for yourself.

00:34:57.040 --> 00:35:00.040
You're contenting for the people.

00:35:00.040 --> 00:35:03.040
Why? Because there is a God who is contenting for the people,

00:35:03.040 --> 00:35:05.040
and he wants to do it through you.

00:35:05.040 --> 00:35:10.040
My nature now is of the contenting father.

00:35:10.040 --> 00:35:17.040
Then God says, oh, I'm going to fight your battles.

00:35:17.040 --> 00:35:23.040
Somebody contented for me.

00:35:23.040 --> 00:35:27.040
Mohini contented years for Pawan. Right, Mohini?

00:35:27.040 --> 00:35:30.040
Why? Because she owned it.

00:35:30.040 --> 00:35:35.040
If she doesn't do that, probably Pawan might, but I don't know, maybe nobody else.

00:35:35.040 --> 00:35:38.040
But Mohini had to do it.

00:35:38.040 --> 00:35:40.040
Mohini had to content for him.

00:35:40.040 --> 00:35:42.040
I remember years after years, Mohini will come up and say,

00:35:42.040 --> 00:35:46.040
no, I know he's going to come to Christ. I know.

00:35:46.040 --> 00:35:50.040
She will go back home and she'll content.

00:35:50.040 --> 00:35:56.040
Do you content for the people of this land?

00:35:56.040 --> 00:35:58.040
Is there an ownership?

00:35:58.040 --> 00:36:06.040
If it's not your son, if it's not your daughter, do you still content?

00:36:06.040 --> 00:36:09.040
When you go to Victoria, is that your heart?

00:36:09.040 --> 00:36:14.040
Do you have a burden?

00:36:14.040 --> 00:36:21.040
Well done, Betty.

00:36:21.040 --> 00:36:27.040
So the next step when you content is there's a declaration.

00:36:27.040 --> 00:36:28.040
There's a declaration.

00:36:28.040 --> 00:36:36.040
So Elijah then says to Ahab, go eat and drink, for there is a sound of the heavy rain.

00:36:36.040 --> 00:36:40.040
There is a speaking out on God's behalf.

00:36:40.040 --> 00:36:45.040
Because if you read that chapter, the first line is talking about God tells Ahab,

00:36:45.040 --> 00:36:47.040
hey, I'm going to send rain.

00:36:47.040 --> 00:36:48.040
And now he's confident.

00:36:48.040 --> 00:36:54.040
Now he goes to Ahab and he says, okay, now you go because the rain is going to come.

00:36:54.040 --> 00:36:56.040
There is a declaration that needs to happen.

00:36:56.040 --> 00:36:59.040
There's a declaration that needs to happen upon the land.

00:36:59.040 --> 00:37:05.040
When we do Victoria, when we do Wally, what happens is that we are declaring God's intent upon the land.

00:37:05.040 --> 00:37:06.040
We have done it.

00:37:06.040 --> 00:37:09.040
Over the last little while, Jacob was here. He was talking about Victoria.

00:37:09.040 --> 00:37:11.040
What was he doing?

00:37:11.040 --> 00:37:14.040
He was declaring God's intent upon the land.

00:37:14.040 --> 00:37:16.040
Every time we meet for an encounter, what do we do?

00:37:16.040 --> 00:37:20.040
We declare God's intent upon the land.

00:37:20.040 --> 00:37:27.040
There is a declaration that has to happen if we are contenting.

00:37:27.040 --> 00:37:32.040
After contenting, there's a supplication.

00:37:32.040 --> 00:37:33.040
Make sense?

00:37:33.040 --> 00:37:34.040
So there is a declaration.

00:37:34.040 --> 00:37:35.040
You know God's heart now.

00:37:35.040 --> 00:37:36.040
You declare it.

00:37:36.040 --> 00:37:38.040
After you declare it, then you go.

00:37:38.040 --> 00:37:39.040
Why?

00:37:39.040 --> 00:37:44.040
Because if you look again, so he tells Ahab, hey, there is rain that's going to come.

00:37:44.040 --> 00:37:45.040
So Ahab goes.

00:37:45.040 --> 00:37:47.040
So Ahab went off to eat and drink.

00:37:47.040 --> 00:37:56.040
But Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground, and put his face between his knees.

00:37:56.040 --> 00:38:00.040
There was a posture that was very different.

00:38:00.040 --> 00:38:03.040
The supplication is very different.

00:38:04.040 --> 00:38:05.040
He's contenting.

00:38:05.040 --> 00:38:11.040
This is a fight that he is now doing for God, for the people on behalf of God.

00:38:11.040 --> 00:38:12.040
He goes to Mount Carmel.

00:38:12.040 --> 00:38:13.040
He bends down.

00:38:13.040 --> 00:38:18.040
He puts his head between his knees, and he cries out.

00:38:18.040 --> 00:38:22.040
There's a posture.

00:38:22.040 --> 00:38:26.040
Do you guys know Jackie Pullinger?

00:38:26.040 --> 00:38:28.040
She's my nephew.

00:38:28.040 --> 00:38:30.040
No, she's not.

00:38:30.040 --> 00:38:33.040
Jackie Pullinger is one of, I don't know, warriors of God.

00:38:33.040 --> 00:38:38.040
She went to Hong Kong, and then she, I think we briefly talked about her last time,

00:38:38.040 --> 00:38:45.040
but she's the person who went to Hong Kong, and then she rescued people with addiction, right?

00:38:45.040 --> 00:38:46.040
All those kind of addiction.

00:38:46.040 --> 00:38:50.040
And then she had a tactic.

00:38:50.040 --> 00:38:53.040
So I was just, I didn't read the whole book, but I read a glimpse of it,

00:38:53.040 --> 00:38:56.040
and my confidence is extremely high.

00:38:56.040 --> 00:38:58.040
You might think that I actually know her personally, right?

00:38:58.040 --> 00:39:01.040
But I just read like one chapter of it, and in that...

00:39:05.040 --> 00:39:06.040
I know, right? I just read the back.

00:39:06.040 --> 00:39:08.040
I mean, that's all that matters, I guess.

00:39:10.040 --> 00:39:12.040
But in that, she says, okay, she goes.

00:39:12.040 --> 00:39:14.040
She knows there is a calling.

00:39:14.040 --> 00:39:18.040
She goes to the land, and then she starts sharing gospel.

00:39:18.040 --> 00:39:19.040
Sharing gospel.

00:39:19.040 --> 00:39:20.040
Nothing happens.

00:39:22.040 --> 00:39:24.040
And she's like, but I'm doing the right things.

00:39:26.040 --> 00:39:27.040
There is an art of war.

00:39:27.040 --> 00:39:34.040
She meets with somebody from the US, and then she realizes the power of speaking in tongues.

00:39:35.040 --> 00:39:37.040
And then everything changes.

00:39:37.040 --> 00:39:40.040
So every time, the next time she goes out, she starts speaking in tongues.

00:39:40.040 --> 00:39:42.040
In the spirit, she's declaring things.

00:39:42.040 --> 00:39:45.040
And then she goes, and miraculous things happen.

00:39:47.040 --> 00:39:48.040
Now people are receiving Jesus.

00:39:50.040 --> 00:39:54.040
Lives are being transformed, but still there is that struggle for addiction.

00:39:54.040 --> 00:40:01.040
Then she says, okay, if this can happen in my life, when I am filled with the Holy Spirit, if this is how it is, let me pray over other people.

00:40:01.040 --> 00:40:03.040
And they start speaking in tongues.

00:40:04.040 --> 00:40:05.040
Art of war.

00:40:06.040 --> 00:40:09.040
When you're contending, there is a different posture that you have to take.

00:40:10.040 --> 00:40:15.040
That was Jackie Pullinger's way, how God, how Spirit told her to do things.

00:40:16.040 --> 00:40:18.040
Warring in the Spirit and then declaring it out.

00:40:19.040 --> 00:40:21.040
In our case, there is a prophetic...

00:40:21.040 --> 00:40:23.040
Use prophetic as a weapon.

00:40:24.040 --> 00:40:29.040
This is what 1 Timothy, 1 Timothy chapter 1, verse 18 and 19 says,

00:40:29.040 --> 00:40:41.040
Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them, you may fight the battle well.

00:40:42.040 --> 00:40:43.040
I'm going to read it again.

00:40:43.040 --> 00:40:48.040
Timothy, my son, I'm giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you.

00:40:48.040 --> 00:40:52.040
Hey, remember the prophecies that I once made about you.

00:40:52.040 --> 00:40:55.040
Remember them and then now fight the battle well.

00:40:59.040 --> 00:41:03.040
Make sense? In the case of Elijah, he knew what God had told him.

00:41:03.040 --> 00:41:05.040
I'm going to send rain.

00:41:07.040 --> 00:41:10.040
Stand on that prophetic and then fight your war.

00:41:13.040 --> 00:41:15.040
And when you do this, time is not a factor.

00:41:18.040 --> 00:41:20.040
How many years did you wait for power in Mohini?

00:41:23.040 --> 00:41:25.040
Two years.

00:41:26.040 --> 00:41:28.040
It was not one day. It was not two days.

00:41:29.040 --> 00:41:33.040
But she knew the result. She knows what's going to happen.

00:41:33.040 --> 00:41:35.040
Time did not matter for her.

00:41:37.040 --> 00:41:39.040
Bhagavani, you're laughing at me.

00:41:39.040 --> 00:41:42.040
You're filled with happiness and joy, I believe.

00:41:42.040 --> 00:41:44.040
Nothing.

00:41:46.040 --> 00:41:49.040
But when you know the outcome, the result does not matter.

00:41:49.040 --> 00:41:52.040
The result does not matter. I mean, not the result does not matter.

00:41:52.040 --> 00:41:54.040
The time does not matter. How long it takes does not matter.

00:41:56.040 --> 00:41:58.040
You don't have to see it happen.

00:41:59.040 --> 00:42:02.040
Every time we go out in Bali, Derek reminds us one thing.

00:42:02.040 --> 00:42:06.040
Hey, when you go out right now, don't look at the results.

00:42:06.040 --> 00:42:10.040
No, stand on the prophetic word that this city has been given to you.

00:42:11.040 --> 00:42:13.040
You go out, God will do the rest.

00:42:14.040 --> 00:42:18.040
If you're going to look at time or how fast is this going to happen

00:42:18.040 --> 00:42:20.040
or where are the results, you're going to fail.

00:42:21.040 --> 00:42:24.040
In our case, we know things are going to happen.

00:42:24.040 --> 00:42:28.040
So if you look at Elijah's story about Ahab,

00:42:29.040 --> 00:42:33.040
the servant had to go back seven times to look at the cloud.

00:42:33.040 --> 00:42:36.040
Seven times. It did not happen the first time.

00:42:36.040 --> 00:42:39.040
It did not happen the second time. He had to do it seven times.

00:42:40.040 --> 00:42:42.040
Time does not matter.

00:42:43.040 --> 00:42:45.040
The result is going to come.

00:42:49.040 --> 00:42:54.040
The route of evil in any season is determined by the violence of contention.

00:42:55.040 --> 00:42:58.040
So the damage that you will cause to the enemy kingdom

00:42:59.040 --> 00:43:06.040
is determined by how much of an effort that you are putting in the Spirit.

00:43:06.040 --> 00:43:12.040
Like the route of evil in any season is determined by the violence of contention.

00:43:13.040 --> 00:43:16.040
Right? It says in Matthew chapter 11, verse 12 says,

00:43:16.040 --> 00:43:18.040
From the days of John the Baptist until now,

00:43:19.040 --> 00:43:21.040
the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence,

00:43:22.040 --> 00:43:24.040
and violent people have been raiding it.

00:43:25.040 --> 00:43:27.040
Violent people have been raiding it.

00:43:28.040 --> 00:43:30.040
There has to be violence, man.

00:43:31.040 --> 00:43:34.040
You talk about Real Madrid to me, you trash talk about Real Madrid to me,

00:43:34.040 --> 00:43:36.040
I'll have violence.

00:43:37.040 --> 00:43:40.040
Real Madrid is a club that I support, just in case you didn't know.

00:43:41.040 --> 00:43:43.040
That's not the kind of violence I'm talking about,

00:43:43.040 --> 00:43:45.040
but there's a different kind of violence.

00:43:46.040 --> 00:43:48.040
Because look at kids, man.

00:43:49.040 --> 00:43:54.040
If you are a kid and if you steal an eraser from a mother's kid's pocket,

00:43:55.040 --> 00:43:58.040
which I did once, that kid's mother shows up.

00:43:59.040 --> 00:44:01.040
Why? It's an eraser.

00:44:02.040 --> 00:44:04.040
Then I met Jesus and my life changed. I don't steal anymore.

00:44:05.040 --> 00:44:09.040
But the intent is that there is an ownership for the kid.

00:44:09.040 --> 00:44:12.040
Right knee? You'll do anything for your baby.

00:44:13.040 --> 00:44:15.040
Hopefully not for the eraser, but...

00:44:16.040 --> 00:44:20.040
But there is that intent with which, man, this is my son, this is my daughter.

00:44:21.040 --> 00:44:24.040
I'm going to show up. Why? For silly things and for big things.

00:44:25.040 --> 00:44:27.040
You'll be there.

00:44:28.040 --> 00:44:29.040
Contenting.

00:44:30.040 --> 00:44:36.040
In 2 Kings chapter 13, verse 19, this is a story where Jehovah, Jehovah and Elisha,

00:44:36.040 --> 00:44:40.040
both of them are there. Elisha is on his dying bed.

00:44:41.040 --> 00:44:47.040
And Jehovah goes to meet Elisha and he tells him, hey, take the arrows, strike the ground.

00:44:48.040 --> 00:44:51.040
So Jehovah takes his arrow and he strikes it three times.

00:44:52.040 --> 00:44:53.040
And this is what Elisha says.

00:44:54.040 --> 00:44:59.040
The man of God was angry with him and he said, you should have struck the ground five or six times.

00:45:00.040 --> 00:45:05.040
Then you should have, then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it.

00:45:06.040 --> 00:45:08.040
And now you will defeat it only three times.

00:45:09.040 --> 00:45:12.040
How much violent are you against this?

00:45:13.040 --> 00:45:18.040
Against the enemy plotting and planning against your people?

00:45:19.040 --> 00:45:21.040
How violent are you?

00:45:22.040 --> 00:45:28.040
The damage that will cause to the enemy kingdom depends on how much violent, how violent you are.

00:45:28.040 --> 00:45:33.040
After this, wrestle with God for the land.

00:45:35.040 --> 00:45:38.040
Jacob wrestled with God for his blessing.

00:45:39.040 --> 00:45:42.040
Sometimes we are like Jacob because we wrestle for ourselves.

00:45:43.040 --> 00:45:44.040
But wrestle for the people.

00:45:45.040 --> 00:45:46.040
Wrestle for Victoria.

00:45:47.040 --> 00:45:48.040
Wrestle for Vancouver.

00:45:49.040 --> 00:45:50.040
Wrestle for Nenemo.

00:45:51.040 --> 00:45:52.040
Wrestle for UBC.

00:45:52.040 --> 00:45:54.040
Wrestle for the land that God has given you.

00:45:55.040 --> 00:45:57.040
And once you wrestle, there will be a name change.

00:45:58.040 --> 00:45:59.040
Jacob became Israel.

00:46:01.040 --> 00:46:04.040
What Victoria stands for today will change.

00:46:05.040 --> 00:46:06.040
Victoria's identity will change.

00:46:07.040 --> 00:46:10.040
Victoria's name will change to what it is intended to be.

00:46:14.040 --> 00:46:15.040
Content, guys.

00:46:16.040 --> 00:46:17.040
Content, content, content.

00:46:18.040 --> 00:46:19.040
Content, content, content.

00:46:20.040 --> 00:46:21.040
Content, content, content.

00:46:22.040 --> 00:46:23.040
Content, guys.

00:46:26.040 --> 00:46:27.040
Where is the clock?

00:46:28.040 --> 00:46:29.040
Okay.

00:46:30.040 --> 00:46:32.040
I'm only used to preaching in churches with clock.

00:46:33.040 --> 00:46:34.040
What is the time?

00:46:35.040 --> 00:46:36.040
Huh?

00:46:37.040 --> 00:46:38.040
Okay.

00:46:39.040 --> 00:46:40.040
We have time, guys.

00:46:45.040 --> 00:46:47.040
That's okay. Not for today. Maybe next time.

00:46:48.040 --> 00:46:51.040
So, the next one is relentless injustice.

00:46:52.040 --> 00:46:54.040
So, we talked about relentlessness in contenting.

00:46:55.040 --> 00:46:57.040
The next topic is be relentless in justice.

00:47:00.040 --> 00:47:05.040
When Jesus, every time Jesus did something, he was delivering justice.

00:47:06.040 --> 00:47:07.040
We don't see it that way.

00:47:08.040 --> 00:47:13.040
But when Jesus met the woman at the well, he was repairing a life.

00:47:17.040 --> 00:47:20.040
Oh, total 40. Thank you. Thank you.

00:47:21.040 --> 00:47:24.040
Now it feels like the mega church I spoke last week.

00:47:28.040 --> 00:47:33.040
Every time Jesus did something, he was delivering justice.

00:47:35.040 --> 00:47:37.040
A woman at the well, he was repairing her life.

00:47:38.040 --> 00:47:39.040
He was delivering justice.

00:47:40.040 --> 00:47:45.040
When Jesus healed the man at the pool of Bethesda, he restored his life.

00:47:45.040 --> 00:47:47.040
But justice was delivered.

00:47:48.040 --> 00:47:51.040
When Jesus restored the man with the unclean spirit,

00:47:53.040 --> 00:47:58.040
Jesus gave back his identity and his worth, he was delivering justice.

00:47:59.040 --> 00:48:01.040
We usually don't see it that way.

00:48:02.040 --> 00:48:04.040
We see, oh, God did miracles. God did wonders and everything.

00:48:05.040 --> 00:48:08.040
Every time he did something, justice was a big part of it.

00:48:08.040 --> 00:48:13.040
And when he says, okay, people who believe in me, they'll do the things and even greater things.

00:48:14.040 --> 00:48:16.040
We always look at miracles. Okay, let me raise the dead.

00:48:17.040 --> 00:48:20.040
But it's the intent of justice.

00:48:22.040 --> 00:48:26.040
Yes, when healings happen, you don't see the bigger picture.

00:48:27.040 --> 00:48:28.040
Justice is being delivered.

00:48:29.040 --> 00:48:30.040
What does justice look like?

00:48:31.040 --> 00:48:33.040
It is if harm has been done, repay that man.

00:48:34.040 --> 00:48:35.040
That is part of justice.

00:48:35.040 --> 00:48:40.040
So when God healed the man who was harmed by the enemy, justice was being given.

00:48:46.040 --> 00:48:51.040
It says in Isaiah chapter 58, verse 12, your people will rebuild the ancient ruins

00:48:52.040 --> 00:48:54.040
and will raise up the age old foundations.

00:48:55.040 --> 00:48:59.040
You will be called the repairer of broken walls, restorer of streets with dwelling.

00:49:00.040 --> 00:49:02.040
God desires to work through us.

00:49:02.040 --> 00:49:05.040
God desires to work through us to repair things.

00:49:07.040 --> 00:49:10.040
God desires to work through us to restore things.

00:49:11.040 --> 00:49:14.040
God desires to work through us to deliver justice.

00:49:15.040 --> 00:49:18.040
Make sense? Any questions so far, guys?

00:49:24.040 --> 00:49:25.040
Any questions? No questions?

00:49:27.040 --> 00:49:28.040
Okay.

00:49:28.040 --> 00:49:31.040
Recognize that people have rights as image bearers of God.

00:49:33.040 --> 00:49:37.040
Recognize that every person has a right as an image bearer of God.

00:49:38.040 --> 00:49:40.040
Because everybody was created in his image.

00:49:41.040 --> 00:49:42.040
Not just Christians.

00:49:43.040 --> 00:49:45.040
Every person was created in his image.

00:49:47.040 --> 00:49:50.040
Do justice for anybody who was created in his image.

00:49:51.040 --> 00:49:54.040
In Deuteronomy chapter 27, verse 19, it says,

00:49:54.040 --> 00:49:56.040
In Deuteronomy chapter 27, verse 19, it says,

00:49:57.040 --> 00:50:02.040
Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.

00:50:03.040 --> 00:50:04.040
He's not talking about his own people now.

00:50:05.040 --> 00:50:08.040
He's talking about even for the foreigner, if you withhold justice.

00:50:11.040 --> 00:50:13.040
Deuteronomy chapter 27, verse 19.

00:50:15.040 --> 00:50:19.040
Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.

00:50:19.040 --> 00:50:25.040
Justice is the rendering to people of those rights that has been given to them by God.

00:50:26.040 --> 00:50:27.040
Be it a Christian or not a Christian.

00:50:29.040 --> 00:50:32.040
It is the rendering to people of those rights.

00:50:35.040 --> 00:50:40.040
Isaiah chapter 61, verse 8 talks about God's nature about justice.

00:50:41.040 --> 00:50:43.040
For I, the Lord, love justice.

00:50:44.040 --> 00:50:45.040
I hate robbery.

00:50:45.040 --> 00:50:47.040
For I, the Lord, love justice.

00:50:48.040 --> 00:50:50.040
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.

00:50:51.040 --> 00:50:54.040
In my faithfulness, I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.

00:50:55.040 --> 00:50:57.040
But for I, the Lord, love justice.

00:50:58.040 --> 00:50:59.040
That's his nature.

00:51:00.040 --> 00:51:01.040
He loves justice.

00:51:02.040 --> 00:51:04.040
Justice for the people who are not his sons yet.

00:51:05.040 --> 00:51:07.040
And justice for his sons.

00:51:11.040 --> 00:51:14.040
If you read Leviticus and Isaiah, these are some of the things that

00:51:15.040 --> 00:51:18.040
it's spoken about. Justice for the poor and the needy.

00:51:19.040 --> 00:51:20.040
Justice for your neighbor.

00:51:21.040 --> 00:51:22.040
Justice for the foreigner.

00:51:23.040 --> 00:51:24.040
Justice for the widow.

00:51:25.040 --> 00:51:26.040
Justice for the fatherless.

00:51:27.040 --> 00:51:28.040
Justice for the oppressed.

00:51:29.040 --> 00:51:30.040
He's not talking about Christians.

00:51:34.040 --> 00:51:38.040
Because it's easy for us to choose justice for our people.

00:51:39.040 --> 00:51:40.040
We have that, right?

00:51:41.040 --> 00:51:42.040
Like if something happens to our church, let's stand up.

00:51:42.040 --> 00:51:46.040
If you look at the Christendom right now, like Christian Kingdom,

00:51:47.040 --> 00:51:48.040
this is what's happening.

00:51:49.040 --> 00:51:52.040
You only rise up for things of the church.

00:51:55.040 --> 00:51:57.040
You're not too bothered about people outside the church.

00:51:58.040 --> 00:52:00.040
What about the widow outside the church?

00:52:01.040 --> 00:52:06.040
What about the foreigner in this land who is being denied justice?

00:52:08.040 --> 00:52:10.040
What about...there are people in this church, eh?

00:52:10.040 --> 00:52:13.040
There are people in this church who have got a glimpse of that.

00:52:14.040 --> 00:52:16.040
The heart of God's justice for people.

00:52:19.040 --> 00:52:21.040
But let it spread to everybody in this room.

00:52:25.040 --> 00:52:28.040
This is what Job said in chapter 29.

00:52:29.040 --> 00:52:30.040
Let this be spoken about us too.

00:52:31.040 --> 00:52:32.040
Whoever heard me spoke well of me.

00:52:33.040 --> 00:52:34.040
And those who saw me commended me.

00:52:35.040 --> 00:52:37.040
Because I rescued the poor who cried for help.

00:52:37.040 --> 00:52:39.040
And the fatherless who had none to assist them.

00:52:40.040 --> 00:52:42.040
The one who was dying blessed me.

00:52:43.040 --> 00:52:44.040
I made the widow's heart sing.

00:52:45.040 --> 00:52:47.040
I put on righteousness as my clothing.

00:52:48.040 --> 00:52:50.040
Justice was my robe and my turban.

00:52:51.040 --> 00:52:53.040
I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame.

00:52:54.040 --> 00:52:55.040
I was a father to the needy.

00:52:56.040 --> 00:52:57.040
I took up the case of the stranger.

00:52:58.040 --> 00:53:01.040
I broke the fangs of the wicked and snatched the victims from their teeth.

00:53:02.040 --> 00:53:03.040
This is Job talking about his life.

00:53:03.040 --> 00:53:04.040
What he did.

00:53:05.040 --> 00:53:06.040
Can we say things about that?

00:53:15.040 --> 00:53:17.040
Derek spoke a little bit about this last time.

00:53:18.040 --> 00:53:21.040
If you meet a person who is hungry, feed him.

00:53:22.040 --> 00:53:23.040
Don't ask for discernment.

00:53:24.040 --> 00:53:25.040
Right?

00:53:26.040 --> 00:53:28.040
If you ask, if you see a person who is in need, help him.

00:53:29.040 --> 00:53:30.040
If you see a person who is in need, help him.

00:53:30.040 --> 00:53:33.040
If you ask, if you see a person who is in need, help.

00:53:34.040 --> 00:53:35.040
Don't ask for discernment.

00:53:37.040 --> 00:53:44.040
Same way, if you see somebody, Christian or not a Christian, and justice is being denied, act.

00:53:45.040 --> 00:53:47.040
That's his nature.

00:53:48.040 --> 00:53:49.040
Act.

00:53:50.040 --> 00:53:52.040
Don't ask for discernment there too.

00:53:55.040 --> 00:53:56.040
Deliver justice.

00:53:56.040 --> 00:53:57.040
Deliver justice.

00:54:00.040 --> 00:54:03.040
For this to happen, there should be an awareness of desolate...

00:54:04.040 --> 00:54:05.040
Pawan, what are you doing, bro?

00:54:07.040 --> 00:54:08.040
Just joking.

00:54:11.040 --> 00:54:14.040
For things to happen, there has to be an awareness of desolate heritage.

00:54:18.040 --> 00:54:20.040
An awareness of desolate heritage.

00:54:21.040 --> 00:54:22.040
Desolate heritage, yeah.

00:54:23.040 --> 00:54:25.040
It talks...I think it's Isaiah.

00:54:26.040 --> 00:54:27.040
Isaiah 49, verse 8.

00:54:29.040 --> 00:54:34.040
In the time of my favor, I have lanced at you, and in the day of salvation, I will help you.

00:54:35.040 --> 00:54:42.040
I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances.

00:54:43.040 --> 00:54:45.040
There has to be an awareness of desolate inheritances.

00:54:48.040 --> 00:54:49.040
That's the first step.

00:54:50.040 --> 00:54:55.040
Have an awareness of the desolate inheritance or desolate heritages.

00:54:56.040 --> 00:55:06.040
Now that you're aware of it, lament.

00:55:07.040 --> 00:55:08.040
That's an action.

00:55:09.040 --> 00:55:11.040
So now you know there is a desolate heritage.

00:55:12.040 --> 00:55:13.040
Now lament.

00:55:14.040 --> 00:55:15.040
Cry.

00:55:16.040 --> 00:55:17.040
Cry for the people.

00:55:18.040 --> 00:55:19.040
Cry for the inheritance that's for you.

00:55:20.040 --> 00:55:21.040
That's desolate right now.

00:55:21.040 --> 00:55:26.040
In Habakkuk chapter 1, verse 2 and 4, it says, How long, Lord, must I call for help?

00:55:27.040 --> 00:55:31.040
But you do not listen, or cry out to you, violence, but you do not save?

00:55:32.040 --> 00:55:33.040
Why do you make me look at injustice?

00:55:34.040 --> 00:55:35.040
Why do you tolerate wrongdoing?

00:55:36.040 --> 00:55:37.040
Destruction and violence are before me.

00:55:38.040 --> 00:55:39.040
There is strife and conflict abounds.

00:55:40.040 --> 00:55:44.040
Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails.

00:55:45.040 --> 00:55:48.040
The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

00:55:48.040 --> 00:55:49.040
This is his lament.

00:55:50.040 --> 00:55:51.040
This is Habakkuk's lament.

00:55:52.040 --> 00:55:53.040
To God.

00:55:54.040 --> 00:55:55.040
Our posture should be the same.

00:55:56.040 --> 00:55:58.040
There should be a relentless cry for the people.

00:55:59.040 --> 00:56:03.040
A lament for God's justice upon the land.

00:56:04.040 --> 00:56:09.040
Lament is not just an emotion.

00:56:10.040 --> 00:56:11.040
It's not forcing out emotions.

00:56:12.040 --> 00:56:15.040
It is actually for Christians, it is not forcing out emotions.

00:56:15.040 --> 00:56:22.040
It is actually for Christians, it is standing on the truth, standing on the prophetic, and then declaring things.

00:56:23.040 --> 00:56:27.040
It should not be just, ah, too bad.

00:56:28.040 --> 00:56:29.040
That is not what I'm talking about, lament.

00:56:30.040 --> 00:56:33.040
Lament is where you wrestle with God for the land.

00:56:33.040 --> 00:56:35.040
Promises like Luke chapter 4, 18 to 19.

00:56:36.040 --> 00:56:40.040
The spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim the goodness to the poor.

00:56:41.040 --> 00:56:49.040
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners, and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the ear of the Lord's favor.

00:56:50.040 --> 00:56:53.040
In Revelation it says, he will wipe every tear from their eyes.

00:56:54.040 --> 00:56:56.040
There will be no more death or mourning or crying or mourning.

00:56:56.040 --> 00:56:57.040
For the old order of things has passed away.

00:56:58.040 --> 00:56:59.040
We know what's going to come, guys.

00:57:00.040 --> 00:57:02.040
We have been assured of what is in hand.

00:57:03.040 --> 00:57:04.040
Now stand on it.

00:57:05.040 --> 00:57:07.040
Now relentlessly pray for it.

00:57:09.040 --> 00:57:13.040
Once you do this, then the spirit ignites and redirects you to the truth.

00:57:14.040 --> 00:57:16.040
Lament is not just an emotion.

00:57:17.040 --> 00:57:19.040
It is actually for Christians, it is standing on the truth.

00:57:20.040 --> 00:57:22.040
It is actually for Christians, it is standing on the truth.

00:57:22.040 --> 00:57:31.040
Once you do this, then the spirit ignites and redirects our time, our strength, our willingness to do things.

00:57:32.040 --> 00:57:33.040
Make sense?

00:57:34.040 --> 00:57:35.040
Any questions?

00:57:36.040 --> 00:57:37.040
Be relentless. This is what we have been talking about.

00:57:38.040 --> 00:57:39.040
Relentless. Relentless in things.

00:57:40.040 --> 00:57:45.040
Relentless in pursuit. Relentless in loving kindness. Relentless in contenting. Relentless in justice.

00:57:45.040 --> 00:57:46.040
Can I ask somebody to pray for this?

00:57:47.040 --> 00:57:53.040
Because as we go to Victoria and we go to different places that God is going to send, this has to be there.

00:57:54.040 --> 00:57:55.040
A relentless attitude.

00:57:56.040 --> 00:57:57.040
It's not going to happen in one day.

00:57:58.040 --> 00:58:02.040
As she was talking about, the Berlin Wall did not come down in one day.

00:58:03.040 --> 00:58:10.040
What if you struck Berlin Wall for like 24 hours and you were like, ah, this is going to be a disaster.

00:58:10.040 --> 00:58:15.040
What if you struck Berlin Wall for like 24 hours and you were like, ah, this is not going to happen.

00:58:16.040 --> 00:58:17.040
Going to go back home.

00:58:18.040 --> 00:58:19.040
That attitude won't work.

00:58:20.040 --> 00:58:25.040
We are fighting against spirits that has been holding that country captive for a little longer.

00:58:27.040 --> 00:58:31.040
Years and years of demonic oppression upon the land.

00:58:32.040 --> 00:58:33.040
Do you think one prayer will take it away?

00:58:34.040 --> 00:58:35.040
Be relentless.

00:58:36.040 --> 00:58:37.040
Because we know what we have.

00:58:38.040 --> 00:58:39.040
We know His promise.

00:58:40.040 --> 00:58:42.040
And the cities and places have been given to us.

00:58:43.040 --> 00:58:44.040
Now stand on it and fight.

00:58:45.040 --> 00:58:48.040
Can somebody pray for it?

00:59:01.040 --> 00:59:02.040
My name is Leigh.

00:59:03.040 --> 00:59:05.040
I'm from Vernon House of Faith.

00:59:06.040 --> 00:59:08.040
Just last week, Jacob sent us to Ventura.

00:59:08.040 --> 00:59:10.040
We have no idea what Ventura is like.

00:59:11.040 --> 00:59:14.040
So Ventura is in the northern side of Los Angeles.

00:59:15.040 --> 00:59:20.040
And amazingly, you mentioned about the Jackie Pullinger book.

00:59:21.040 --> 00:59:24.040
That's exactly the book Jacob gave me before we headed down there.

00:59:25.040 --> 00:59:30.040
And I read it through the flight, through while we were there and on our way back.

00:59:31.040 --> 00:59:32.040
And you're right.

00:59:33.040 --> 00:59:35.040
I read the whole book, so it's so fresh on me.

00:59:35.040 --> 00:59:39.040
There is oppression because there is an enemy who is really willing to get us.

00:59:40.040 --> 00:59:46.040
And there are us Christians, when we're called, it's so hard not to just turn a blind eye.

00:59:47.040 --> 00:59:52.040
And then we also feel helpless too because this is their lives for years and years and years.

00:59:53.040 --> 00:59:55.040
And yet God wants to restore them.

00:59:56.040 --> 01:00:02.040
And so I believe when you guys are called to Victoria, I'm not sure what Victoria is going to do.

01:00:02.040 --> 01:00:03.040
Victoria Island?

01:00:04.040 --> 01:00:07.040
Okay, I just wanted to make sure because there's a Victoria Street too.

01:00:08.040 --> 01:00:12.040
But I want to be more specific about my prayer.

01:00:13.040 --> 01:00:15.040
But yeah, to go to Victoria is not easy.

01:00:16.040 --> 01:00:17.040
You have to take a ferry.

01:00:18.040 --> 01:00:19.040
It's not cheap either.

01:00:20.040 --> 01:00:23.040
But yes, there is something about Victoria that God wants to move in there.

01:00:24.040 --> 01:00:26.040
And so as we come to the Spirit,

01:00:26.040 --> 01:00:28.040
Father, you have called Victoria.

01:00:29.040 --> 01:00:32.040
That Victoria is beautiful.

01:00:33.040 --> 01:00:37.040
And it's just not beautiful just because of the scenery, Lord.

01:00:38.040 --> 01:00:45.040
But the people that you have called in there, Lord, the real estate is so high in there because all of the fanciness.

01:00:46.040 --> 01:00:48.040
But amidst all the fanciness, Lord, there's an underbelly.

01:00:49.040 --> 01:00:51.040
And so I believe that's what you're calling in there.

01:00:51.040 --> 01:00:56.040
Because all of the fanciness, but amidst all the fanciness, Lord, there's an underbelly.

01:00:57.040 --> 01:00:59.040
And we called out against those underbelly.

01:01:00.040 --> 01:01:03.040
It's like a city that's like walled up.

01:01:04.040 --> 01:01:08.040
Like we can see how magnificent the houses are there.

01:01:09.040 --> 01:01:15.040
But we also see what the enemy has done and hardened the hearts of some people there.

01:01:16.040 --> 01:01:20.040
Lord, we call on your Holy Spirit because you have done it.

01:01:21.040 --> 01:01:22.040
You have done it in our lives.

01:01:23.040 --> 01:01:24.040
You have redeemed us.

01:01:25.040 --> 01:01:26.040
You have fully restored us, Lord.

01:01:27.040 --> 01:01:32.040
That the facade would be shattered.

01:01:35.040 --> 01:01:37.040
And we don't know how to pray.

01:01:38.040 --> 01:01:42.040
And just like how Jackie Pullinger came and walked and she prayed in the Spirit.

01:01:42.040 --> 01:01:47.040
Lord, teach us, give us that gift that we could pray in Spirit every day.

01:01:48.040 --> 01:01:50.040
Every walking time when we go in there, Lord.

01:01:51.040 --> 01:01:57.040
You already have prepped up the hearts of the people that are in there that we are going to get connected to.

01:01:58.040 --> 01:01:59.040
They are going to get connected to, Lord.

01:02:00.040 --> 01:02:08.040
And Lord, as they jump into that fair, as they drive over there and they take that little bit of a drive, Lord, just open up our hearts.

01:02:09.040 --> 01:02:10.040
Let us be so sensitive from you.

01:02:10.040 --> 01:02:12.040
Because that's all going to come from you, Lord.

01:02:13.040 --> 01:02:14.040
It's not going to come from our strength.

01:02:15.040 --> 01:02:16.040
But we are so willing.

01:02:17.040 --> 01:02:19.040
We are so willing to be there and be sent out.

01:02:21.040 --> 01:02:23.040
Because you have done the same for us.

01:02:24.040 --> 01:02:25.040
We have done the same for us.

01:02:26.040 --> 01:02:30.040
So thank you for this time of prayer for us, Lord.

01:02:31.040 --> 01:02:32.040
Amen.

01:02:40.040 --> 01:02:59.040
To paraphrase another verse, Father God, we are only able to be relentless because you are first relentless.

01:03:00.040 --> 01:03:05.040
It's a part of who you are.

01:03:05.040 --> 01:03:06.040
You never quit.

01:03:06.040 --> 01:03:10.040
You never give up on us or on anybody else.

01:03:11.040 --> 01:03:27.040
And so following that example, we refuse to quit or give up on chasing after you and on growing closer to you and also on going where you tell us to go.

01:03:27.040 --> 01:03:35.040
On being your hands on completing your will in this world.

01:03:36.040 --> 01:03:46.040
We will be relentless in that in the same way that you are relentless in chasing after us and in having your will completed in this world.

01:03:48.040 --> 01:03:55.040
So thank you for first doing that and showing us how we can do the same.

01:03:57.040 --> 01:03:58.040
Amen.

01:04:04.040 --> 01:04:11.040
As a response to what we have been hearing, we are going to sing the song God of the City.

01:04:12.040 --> 01:04:25.040
There is still so much work to be done and we are going to be relentless in praying over the city, over Nanaimo and over the cities and nations that God puts in your heart.

01:04:25.040 --> 01:04:33.040
So as we sing these songs, sing over the nations and the cities and places that God puts in your heart.

01:04:34.040 --> 01:04:37.040
Let us be relentless as we sing this song.

01:04:55.040 --> 01:05:06.040
God of the City.

01:05:07.040 --> 01:05:10.040
You're the God of the City.

01:05:11.040 --> 01:05:14.040
You're the King of this people.

01:05:15.040 --> 01:05:18.040
You're the Lord of this nation.

01:05:19.040 --> 01:05:21.040
You are.

01:05:21.040 --> 01:05:24.040
You're the light in this darkness.

01:05:25.040 --> 01:05:28.040
You're the hope to the hopeless.

01:05:29.040 --> 01:05:32.040
You're the peace to the restless.

01:05:33.040 --> 01:05:36.040
You are.

01:05:37.040 --> 01:05:42.040
There is no one like our God.

01:05:44.040 --> 01:05:50.040
There is no one like our God.

01:05:51.040 --> 01:05:58.040
For greater things have yet to come.

01:05:59.040 --> 01:06:08.040
Greater things are still to be done in this city.

01:06:08.040 --> 01:06:11.040
The greater things have yet to come.

01:06:12.040 --> 01:06:20.040
Greater things are still to be done in this city.

01:06:21.040 --> 01:06:23.040
You're the God of the City.

01:06:24.040 --> 01:06:27.040
You're the God of this city.

01:06:28.040 --> 01:06:31.040
You're the King of this people.

01:06:32.040 --> 01:06:35.040
You're the Lord of this nation.

01:06:35.040 --> 01:06:38.040
You're the Lord of this nation.

01:06:39.040 --> 01:06:41.040
You are.

01:06:42.040 --> 01:06:45.040
You're the light in this darkness.

01:06:46.040 --> 01:06:49.040
You're the hope to the hopeless.

01:06:50.040 --> 01:06:53.040
You're the peace to the restless.

01:06:54.040 --> 01:06:57.040
You are.

01:06:58.040 --> 01:07:04.040
There is no one like our God.

01:07:05.040 --> 01:07:12.040
There is no one like our God.

01:07:17.040 --> 01:07:20.040
For greater things have yet to come.

01:07:21.040 --> 01:07:30.040
Greater things are still to be done in this city.

01:07:31.040 --> 01:07:35.040
For greater things have yet to come.

01:07:36.040 --> 01:07:45.040
Greater things are still to be done in this city.

01:07:50.040 --> 01:07:53.040
You're the Lord of creation.

01:07:54.040 --> 01:07:57.040
The creator of all things.

01:07:57.040 --> 01:08:01.040
You're the King above all kings.

01:08:02.040 --> 01:08:04.040
You are.

01:08:05.040 --> 01:08:08.040
You're the strength in the weakness.

01:08:09.040 --> 01:08:12.040
You're the love to the broken.

01:08:13.040 --> 01:08:16.040
You're the joy in the sadness.

01:08:17.040 --> 01:08:20.040
You are.

01:08:20.040 --> 01:08:25.040
There is no one like our God.

01:08:26.040 --> 01:08:33.040
There is no one like our God.

01:08:37.040 --> 01:08:40.040
For greater things have yet to come.

01:08:41.040 --> 01:08:48.040
Greater things are still to be done in this city.

01:08:50.040 --> 01:08:55.040
You're the Lord of creation.

01:08:56.040 --> 01:09:00.040
You're the glory in the hearts of life.

01:09:01.040 --> 01:09:10.040
We praise you, Lord, in this city.

01:09:12.040 --> 01:09:18.040
There is no one like our God.

01:09:19.040 --> 01:09:26.040
There is no one like our God.

01:09:27.040 --> 01:09:34.040
There is no one like our God.

01:09:35.040 --> 01:09:42.040
There is no one like our God.

01:09:49.040 --> 01:09:54.040
So Father, I'm just mindful that it's Palm Sunday.

01:09:55.040 --> 01:10:02.040
And Palm Sunday as you entered Jerusalem, that set things in motion.

01:10:03.040 --> 01:10:08.040
And today you have done things, you have put things in place to set things in motion.

01:10:09.040 --> 01:10:17.040
And so I thank you, Holy Spirit, for that kick start and how you're going to continue that work in each of us through this week.

01:10:18.040 --> 01:10:21.040
Thank you, Holy Spirit.

01:10:22.040 --> 01:10:24.040
Thank you, Holy Spirit.

01:10:25.040 --> 01:10:27.040
So church, there's going to be a Good Friday service.

01:10:28.040 --> 01:10:29.040
Details are to come.

01:10:30.040 --> 01:10:32.040
And there'll be a service on Easter Sunday as well.

01:10:33.040 --> 01:10:36.040
So look in your emails for that information to come during the week.

01:10:37.040 --> 01:10:39.040
So have a great week and we'll see you next week.
