We are walking temples. 00:05:31.300 --> 00:05:34.300 What a beautiful title, amen. 00:05:38.300 --> 00:05:41.300 So let's begin. 00:05:55.300 --> 00:05:56.300 Alright. 00:05:57.300 --> 00:06:02.300 So we are the temples of the Holy Spirit, and we know why we are the temples of the 00:06:02.300 --> 00:06:09.300 Holy Spirit, because we are temples because of the Holy Spirit who is in us. 00:06:10.300 --> 00:06:15.300 And you got Holy Spirit in you by receiving Him. 00:06:18.300 --> 00:06:20.300 By receiving Him. 00:06:20.300 --> 00:06:29.300 And we are not our own because we are not on the orb because we are bought with the price. 00:06:32.300 --> 00:06:36.300 So therefore, honor God with our bodies. 00:06:38.300 --> 00:06:44.300 So I want to talk about the temple. 00:06:45.300 --> 00:06:47.300 What's the idea of the temple in the Bible? 00:06:47.300 --> 00:06:52.300 And then why we are called as the temples of the temples of the Holy Spirit. 00:06:52.300 --> 00:06:57.300 So if you look at if you look at God's heart from the beginning itself. 00:06:57.300 --> 00:07:01.300 So the first temple, the idea of the temple was actually started from the idea of the 00:07:01.300 --> 00:07:02.300 tabernacle. 00:07:03.300 --> 00:07:05.300 Okay, let's read Exodus chapter 25. 00:07:07.300 --> 00:07:10.300 Exodus, Exodus, Exodus chapter 25, verse 8. 00:07:11.300 --> 00:07:13.300 Today we're going to open lots of scriptures today. 00:07:18.300 --> 00:07:21.300 Exodus chapter 25, verse 8. 00:07:27.300 --> 00:07:31.300 Then let them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 00:07:32.300 --> 00:07:38.300 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I'll show you. 00:07:47.300 --> 00:07:54.300 So the first idea of the idea of the temple actually started from tabernacle because we 00:07:54.300 --> 00:08:00.300 know that God when Israelites were moving out of they came out of Egypt and then they 00:08:00.300 --> 00:08:04.300 started to they're on the journey to the promised land and then God says, okay, I want 00:08:04.300 --> 00:08:07.300 a sanctuary amongst them because I want to meet people. 00:08:08.300 --> 00:08:13.300 Our God is a God who wants to dwell amongst our people amongst his own people. 00:08:13.300 --> 00:08:15.300 He doesn't want to be distant himself. 00:08:15.300 --> 00:08:17.300 He doesn't want to be far away from them. 00:08:17.300 --> 00:08:21.300 He always wants to dwell amongst his people and that's his nature. 00:08:21.300 --> 00:08:22.300 That's his heart. 00:08:22.300 --> 00:08:27.300 And that's that's been portrayed from the first page of the creation from the first 00:08:27.300 --> 00:08:32.300 page of the Bible itself that his heart is actually portrayed that his desire is to 00:08:32.300 --> 00:08:34.300 stay and dwell amongst his people. 00:08:34.300 --> 00:08:39.300 Even though people they turned back and then God called Israelites out of the Egypt and 00:08:39.300 --> 00:08:41.300 then he really wants to dwell amongst them. 00:08:41.300 --> 00:08:45.300 And then he has come up with this with this idea saying, hey, building a sanctuary for 00:08:45.300 --> 00:08:50.300 me because if I come with my glory, if I come with my holiness, you're going to die 00:08:50.300 --> 00:08:51.300 for sure. 00:08:51.300 --> 00:08:54.300 And that's why I don't want you to I don't want you to die. 00:08:54.300 --> 00:08:56.300 But at the same time, I want to have this beautiful relationship. 00:08:56.300 --> 00:09:00.300 I want to have this communion because you are made in my image. 00:09:00.300 --> 00:09:02.300 I cannot separate myself from you. 00:09:02.300 --> 00:09:04.300 And then God said, build a sanctuary for me. 00:09:04.300 --> 00:09:05.300 And that's a tabernacle. 00:09:05.300 --> 00:09:07.300 And then and then it's a beautiful thing. 00:09:07.300 --> 00:09:15.300 See, if for now, until the teaching is finished, I want all of us to focus on on on the body, 00:09:15.300 --> 00:09:19.300 not on the mind, not on the spirit, but actually focus on the body because that's that's 00:09:19.300 --> 00:09:20.300 today's teaching. 00:09:20.300 --> 00:09:23.300 So so see how the tabernacle was built. 00:09:23.300 --> 00:09:25.300 God said, build a sanctuary. 00:09:25.300 --> 00:09:28.300 But at the same time, build this tabernacle. 00:09:28.300 --> 00:09:33.300 But at the same time, you have to build exactly in the same pattern, the same instructions 00:09:33.300 --> 00:09:38.300 with the same colors, with the same material, with the same size that I have told you. 00:09:38.300 --> 00:09:45.300 And which is which is which is the enemy is always attacking what God has created from the beginning. 00:09:45.300 --> 00:09:47.300 God created us in his own image. 00:09:47.300 --> 00:09:51.300 The enemy started to attack that we are not created in his own image. 00:09:51.300 --> 00:09:54.300 Whatever God wants to build, the enemy started to attack that. 00:09:54.300 --> 00:10:01.300 And in the same way, when the tabernacle was built, it was built exactly the way God wanted it to be 00:10:01.300 --> 00:10:05.300 because he has a clear instructions and then he has given them the set of instructions. 00:10:05.300 --> 00:10:11.300 And then man has has a role to play in that because God always works with the partnership because 00:10:11.300 --> 00:10:14.300 because we are called his co-partners. 00:10:14.300 --> 00:10:16.300 So we work with him. 00:10:16.300 --> 00:10:23.300 So so Moses and his team, they build this temple exactly the pattern that God wanted for this tabernacle. 00:10:23.300 --> 00:10:26.300 And then now now look at our look at us. 00:10:26.300 --> 00:10:30.300 This body is exactly built, is exactly fashioned, 00:10:30.300 --> 00:10:35.300 is exactly knit together just the way God wanted it to be. 00:10:38.300 --> 00:10:42.300 The the tabernacle was not built in the pattern of the man wanted. 00:10:42.300 --> 00:10:49.300 And in the same way, you and I are also fashioned together, knit together and then plan together 00:10:49.300 --> 00:10:53.300 exactly the father, how the father wants. 00:10:55.300 --> 00:10:58.300 We are made in his own image, in his likeness. 00:10:58.300 --> 00:11:00.300 The way he liked us. 00:11:03.300 --> 00:11:05.300 It's beautiful, eh? 00:11:05.300 --> 00:11:08.300 But see how the enemy started to sabotage. 00:11:08.300 --> 00:11:10.300 The enemy has started to attack that. 00:11:12.300 --> 00:11:16.300 I remember one time now, even now, but see the difference. 00:11:16.300 --> 00:11:18.300 Don't laugh. 00:11:18.300 --> 00:11:25.300 But growing up, even now, when when when God spoke to me to go to Manoj and then say, 00:11:25.300 --> 00:11:28.300 Hey, Manoj, why don't you lead us into worship? 00:11:28.300 --> 00:11:30.300 And then I asked Manoj, do you want me to join? 00:11:30.300 --> 00:11:32.300 They're like, yeah, come come up with me. 00:11:32.300 --> 00:11:35.300 Then I said, if I sing, then everyone will run out. 00:11:35.300 --> 00:11:38.300 They will carry the gospel and the power of God. 00:11:39.300 --> 00:11:41.300 It's OK, man, you have a mask. 00:11:41.300 --> 00:11:42.300 Come on. 00:11:43.300 --> 00:11:45.300 So I came with a mask. 00:11:45.300 --> 00:11:52.300 So growing up, I was it's the same thing that happened to me, like because my dad is a pastor and I was singing in the church. 00:11:52.300 --> 00:11:58.300 And then I started to sing a song and then the drummer, he lost the beat and then everything is everywhere. 00:11:58.300 --> 00:12:02.300 And then I came down and then somebody said, man, you don't even know how to sing. 00:12:02.300 --> 00:12:04.300 Why do you go up and disturb us? 00:12:04.300 --> 00:12:06.300 I was like, God bless you. 00:12:07.300 --> 00:12:08.300 But then that really hurt me. 00:12:08.300 --> 00:12:12.300 Right. So then since then, I really never wanted to go up and sing. 00:12:13.300 --> 00:12:20.300 OK. But then at some point after after I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I was anointed by the Holy Spirit. 00:12:20.300 --> 00:12:22.300 And I started to have this beautiful relationship with God. 00:12:22.300 --> 00:12:26.300 And one day there was a time where I had to go up and then I had to lead the worship. 00:12:27.300 --> 00:12:29.300 And I was like, Father, I just want to worship you. 00:12:29.300 --> 00:12:30.300 And I was there. 00:12:30.300 --> 00:12:33.300 And then it was much terrible than before. 00:12:33.300 --> 00:12:39.300 But then people came after me and then saying, God really touched today in the worship. 00:12:40.300 --> 00:12:49.300 Because the people have a different expectation and they give us a patron and then say, if you don't, if you're not like this, 00:12:50.300 --> 00:12:52.300 you don't belong here. 00:12:53.300 --> 00:12:54.300 If you're not like this. 00:12:54.300 --> 00:13:00.300 And that's why when I just like as preacher Pavan did when I Googled about about taking care of the body, 00:13:00.300 --> 00:13:07.300 then all the things like you go and then see the research, how the body shaming, how the from 1920s onwards, 00:13:07.300 --> 00:13:12.300 there was a research that's been done, that's been happening on how people start to perceive about their body. 00:13:12.300 --> 00:13:14.300 And it's so pathetic. 00:13:14.300 --> 00:13:23.300 It's so sad when you as children of God, when you see God created us in his own image and then it is a beautiful, beautiful as his children. 00:13:23.300 --> 00:13:31.300 And then all of a sudden, the enemy starts to have his own pattern and the body shapes and the color and the voice and everything. 00:13:31.300 --> 00:13:34.300 And then if you're not like that, then you are you don't belong there. 00:13:34.300 --> 00:13:36.300 That's the that's a lie. 00:13:36.300 --> 00:13:41.300 And that's the attack that the enemy has been doing for for a long time, even now. 00:13:41.300 --> 00:13:43.300 And it's even worse today. 00:13:44.300 --> 00:13:45.300 Amongst the teenagers. 00:13:45.300 --> 00:13:47.300 It's even worse today. 00:13:47.300 --> 00:13:48.300 It's getting worse today. 00:13:48.300 --> 00:13:57.300 And this is the call of the body when we understand that we are the temples of God and we are exactly fashion in the design and the exact patterns of God, 00:13:57.300 --> 00:14:03.300 because he was the one who knit us together in our mother's womb and he was the one who's taking care of us. 00:14:03.300 --> 00:14:06.300 Hallelujah. 00:14:06.300 --> 00:14:12.300 So we're still in the first point. 00:14:12.300 --> 00:14:14.300 That's the tabernacle. 00:14:14.300 --> 00:14:18.300 But there is something beautiful that happened after tabernacle. 00:14:18.300 --> 00:14:22.300 There's this man, King David. 00:14:22.300 --> 00:14:33.300 Second Samuel, Chapter seven. 00:14:33.300 --> 00:14:40.300 Second Samuel, Chapter seven. 00:14:40.300 --> 00:14:45.300 I guess this is the reason why David is called as man after God's own heart. 00:14:45.300 --> 00:14:54.300 I mean, there are many reasons, but this is my favorite reason. 00:14:54.300 --> 00:14:56.300 Second Samuel, Chapter seven. 00:14:56.300 --> 00:15:05.300 After King was settled in his palace and the Lord had given him rest from all his enemies around him, 00:15:05.300 --> 00:15:16.300 he said to Nathan, the prophet, Here I am living in a house of Cedar while the ark of God remains in a tent. 00:15:16.300 --> 00:15:23.300 And Nathan replied to the king, Whatever you have in mind, go ahead and do it for the Lord is with you. 00:15:23.300 --> 00:15:32.300 But that night, the word of the Lord came to Nathan saying, Go tell my servant David. 00:15:32.300 --> 00:15:35.300 This is what the Lord says. 00:15:35.300 --> 00:15:39.300 Are you the one to build me a house to dwell in? 00:15:39.300 --> 00:15:46.300 I have not dwelt in a house from the day I brought the Israelites up out of Egypt to this day. 00:15:46.300 --> 00:15:49.300 I have been moving from place to place with the tent. 00:15:49.300 --> 00:15:58.300 And this is God saying, this is God saying, he says, I've been moving from a place to place with the tent as my dwelling. 00:15:58.300 --> 00:16:07.300 Wherever I have moved with all these lights, did I ever say to anyone of the rulers whom I commanded to shepherd my people Israel? 00:16:07.300 --> 00:16:14.300 Why have you not built me a house of Cedar? 00:16:14.300 --> 00:16:23.300 To me, beautiful thing is that how God allows us to be a part in this one. 00:16:23.300 --> 00:16:26.300 He has built us. He has created us. 00:16:26.300 --> 00:16:41.300 He has formed us and he has entrusted this body to us to take care of it and to partner with God to build the body, to build this life as a to glorify him. 00:16:41.300 --> 00:16:50.300 Yeah. So from the tabernacle, the next one came temple and the temple, the idea, 00:16:50.300 --> 00:16:55.300 this side of the temple started from David. 00:16:55.300 --> 00:17:06.300 He loved God. He loved father. And then he said, how can I live in this house where when the tent is actually outside, where the Ark of the Covenant is actually outside? 00:17:06.300 --> 00:17:14.300 And then and then God comes and he says, do you really want to build me a house? Can you really build me a house? 00:17:14.300 --> 00:17:19.300 But then he has answered David's prayers and he has said, but you're not going to build this house. 00:17:19.300 --> 00:17:26.300 Your son is going to build the house because your hands are with the blood. 00:17:26.300 --> 00:17:35.300 And on a side note, I really pray that I really pray that pray that this won't happen for this generation, 00:17:35.300 --> 00:17:41.300 that whatever God wants to build, whatever God wants to do, whatever we and God as partners do together, 00:17:41.300 --> 00:17:47.300 I hope I hope we don't wait for the next generation. I hope that happens in this generation. 00:17:47.300 --> 00:17:54.300 And for that, we need to guard our hearts. For that, we need to guard our bodies. For that, we need to guard our lives. 00:17:54.300 --> 00:18:00.300 We don't want to wait for the next generation to come and then to do it when we have the heart and we know what God wants us. 00:18:00.300 --> 00:18:07.300 And but because the way we have done, but the way our minds are, but the way our spirits are, but the way our attitudes are, 00:18:07.300 --> 00:18:13.300 we don't want to pass that to that responsibility to the next generation. So here that's what happened. 00:18:13.300 --> 00:18:20.300 So David came up, David came up and then he said, OK, we will build a temple for God. And God said, OK, let's see how you build the temple. 00:18:20.300 --> 00:18:28.300 And then again, there was clear instructions on how the temple should be built and that the instructions were passed on to Solomon and Solomon built the temple. 00:18:28.300 --> 00:18:35.300 OK, so from Tabernacle and then this temple and this for the Tabernacle, it's a tent. 00:18:35.300 --> 00:18:41.300 They wherever they are going, they can move. They can move the Tabernacle and then they can set up again. 00:18:41.300 --> 00:18:47.300 And the presence of the God comes comes down there to meet with people. Hallelujah. 00:18:47.300 --> 00:18:54.300 So this is so from there to a temple was built. This temple cannot be moved now. 00:18:54.300 --> 00:18:59.300 It cannot be moved now because it is stuck in Jerusalem. 00:18:59.300 --> 00:19:03.300 Of course, it is big. Of course, it is massive. Of course, it brought the glory. 00:19:03.300 --> 00:19:07.300 Of course, it showed the power and the beauty and God's heart there. 00:19:07.300 --> 00:19:11.300 But at the same time, people wanted it when people looked at it up. 00:19:11.300 --> 00:19:20.300 But then at the same time, that's not really God's heart because God is always he always want to move where his people are. 00:19:20.300 --> 00:19:30.300 From the tent and then because because man started and that this partnership started and then they built a temple for God where that's where the God's presence comes. 00:19:30.300 --> 00:19:35.300 And the people had to come every year.
