prevailing church. 00:00:26.080 --> 00:00:32.080 To go back just one or two steps, why do we say God wants to build a prevailing church? 00:00:32.080 --> 00:00:40.080 Because it says in Matthew 16 that I will build my church and the gates of hell shall 00:00:40.080 --> 00:00:42.840 not prevail against this church. 00:00:42.840 --> 00:00:48.320 And then we talked about how prevailing means that there needs to be contention. 00:00:48.320 --> 00:00:49.800 There needs to be engagement. 00:00:49.800 --> 00:00:51.500 There needs to be contention. 00:00:51.500 --> 00:00:53.480 There needs to be overcoming. 00:00:53.480 --> 00:01:00.160 A church that does not engage with the world and with the enemy does not need to contend. 00:01:00.160 --> 00:01:03.200 And a church that does not contend 00:17:13.420 And so these are the things offered to you. 00:17:13.420 --> 00:17:15.580 So what does seduction look like? 00:17:15.580 --> 00:17:32.900 Seduction looks like variations of mammon, hubris, cronos, pathos and a fifth one. 00:17:32.900 --> 00:17:36.980 Money, pride, time, passion. 00:17:36.980 --> 00:17:40.100 These are the things that the world will seduce us with. 00:17:40.100 00:18:41.680 gospel into places where it is not making much of an inroad and progression, where after 00:18:41.680 --> 00:18:47.820 the gospel is proclaimed, you do something with your story that has been affected by 00:18:47.820 --> 00:18:49.200 Christ's story. 00:18:49.200 --> 00:18:51.760 You use your story to influence. 00:18:51.760 --> 00:18:52.920 Now it begins to progress. 00:18:52.920 --> 00:18:57.080 The gospel begins to progress because it is the only thing that changes people. 00:18:57.120 --> 00:19:02.280 There is nothing else in the face of the world that can change a man than the
