So if you go to Ephesians 6.18, 00:00:24.360 --> 00:00:31.360 at the end of it, after describing everything else that the armor contains, it wraps it up with Ephesians 6.18, 00:00:31.360 --> 00:00:37.360 which says, And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. 00:00:37.360 --> 00:00:47.360 With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. It seems to be the full stop or the hard stop to most things that God asks us to do. 00:00:47.360 --> 00:00:57.360 And so one of the things I felt the Lord saying for us is, after the last eight weeks of teaching—and if you look at the last eight weeks of teaching, 00:00:57.360 --> 00:01:07.360 it's about going. There was a series on Go, then there was a whole Ruah meeting that we had where it was, 00:01:07.360 --> 00:01:17.360 be filled, be joyed, be convicted, be free and be on fire. And then last week we talked about what the gospel actually means. 00:01:17.360 --> 00:01:29.360 And so I felt God saying, Okay, now can you pray? Can you pray so you can go? And so that's what we'll talk about today. 00:01:29.360 --> 00:01:39.360 And so prayer must precede proclamation. Prayer must precede proclamation. 00:01:39.360 --> 00:01:49.360 And it's not because it's a church thing to do. It's because again and again in the Bible, you see that it's the pattern that's followed. 00:01:49.360 --> 00:01:59.360 So if you look at Acts chapter 2, you see that they gathered together in the upper room and they were fasting, they were praying, 00:01:59.360 --> 00:02:11.360 they were together in one accord. And that's when the Spirit of God came upon the earth to transform these fishermen, these tax collectors, into witnesses. 00:02:12.360 --> 00:02:24.360 So in Acts chapter 2, you see that. In Acts chapter 4, you see that again, that when they were beaten up and they were thrown into prison or when they were beaten up and told never to preach again, 00:02:24.360 --> 00:02:31.360 they would go back and they would start praying again. And when they would pray, a boldness would come that would allow them to go. 00:02:31.360 --> 00:02:41.360 You see that again in Acts chapter 13, where in Antioch, after the persecution that distributed the Church of Jerusalem all across the Middle East, 00:02:41.360 --> 00:02:49.360 you see in Acts 13 the apostles, the teachers, the prophets, the equippers gathering, and they were again praying and fasting. 00:02:49.360 --> 00:02:53.360 When the Spirit of God said to them, set aside for me Paul and Barnabas. 00:02:53.360 --> 00:03:03.360 So there almost seems to be this precept in the New Testament that prayer must precede proclamation. 00:03:03.360 --> 00:03:17.360 So the second thing is prayer is always propelled, prayer is propelled from a place of disadvantage, from a place of disadvantage. 00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:22.360 From a place of disadvantage, from a place of disadvantage. 00:03:22.360 --> 00:03:38.360 So be it what we saw with Gideon's 300, or be it a small church like ours in a city of 2.7 million people, or be it on Mount Carmel, where the odds were 450 to 1. 00:03:38.360 --> 00:03:48.360 And it was wet bull versus dry bull, wet wood versus dry wood. The odds were always against and the odds are highly stacked. 00:03:48.360 --> 00:03:53.360 And so prayer is propelled from a place of disadvantage. 00:03:53.360 --> 00:04:02.360 The more disadvantaged you are, the more likely you should go towards prayer and then find that that's one of the favorite places God likes to operate from. 00:04:02.360 --> 00:04:08.360 He operates from a place of disadvantage. He loves operating from a place of disadvantage. 00:04:08.360 --> 00:04:12.360 And when he finds you two advantages, he actually whittles you down to size. 00:04:12.360 --> 00:04:21.360 He goes from 30,000 people in an army, which already was facing another army of 300,000, and then brings it down to 300, which is just crazy. 00:04:21.360 --> 00:04:28.360 So these are things that are for sure, these are patterns that have been preserved from the Old Testament onwards. 00:04:29.360 --> 00:04:36.360 And the third thing is prayer must persevere. Prayer must persevere. Prayer must persevere. 00:04:39.360 --> 00:04:46.360 And as you persevere, God makes, when you persevere, and you only see it when you persevere, God makes rain. 00:04:46.360 --> 00:04:55.360 God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer. 00:04:55.360 --> 00:05:01.360 God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer. 00:05:01.360 --> 00:05:09.360 You see that in 1 Kings 18, 44, where Elijah sends his servant. 00:05:09.360 --> 00:05:19.360 I think that servant would have, I mean, he had such a workout that day because he's praying and then he'll have to go all the way up the mountain. 00:05:19.360 --> 00:05:23.360 And then he goes and looks and then he sees nothing and then he says, I see nothing. 00:05:23.360 --> 00:05:27.360 And then he prays again, six times going up Mount Carmel, man. 00:05:27.360 --> 00:05:31.360 That's like doing grouse grind six times in a day. 00:05:31.360 --> 00:05:36.360 And the sixth time he's like, I'm going to give him my resignation letter and thank God. 00:05:36.360 --> 00:05:40.360 There comes a fist-sized cloud, that's cloud the size of your hand. 00:05:40.360 --> 00:05:46.360 And so what we don't realize is that prayer must persevere because God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer. 00:05:46.360 --> 00:05:48.360 We don't think like this. 00:05:48.360 --> 00:05:54.360 Sometimes when small things happen when you pray, we don't even feel like we should talk about it. 00:05:54.360 --> 00:06:00.360 Or sometimes when we talk about it, people look at it and say, oh, so he's encouraged with that? 00:06:00.360 --> 00:06:05.360 Yes. 00:06:05.360 --> 00:06:08.360 The world has this ability to shut you down if it's not phenomenal. 00:06:08.360 --> 00:06:15.360 And so many of us keep quiet because we hear such phenomenal stories that the little stories fall by the wayside. 00:06:15.360 --> 00:06:21.360 But we never realize that one of the things God loves doing is start with a hand-sized cloud. 00:06:21.360 --> 00:06:26.360 That is a result of you praying because he makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer. 00:06:26.360 --> 00:06:31.360 Jesus does this with the two loaves and five fish. 00:06:31.360 --> 00:06:34.360 But we keep it back. 00:06:34.360 --> 00:06:36.360 So little things must be spoken of. 00:06:36.360 --> 00:06:40.360 Little results you see in prayer must be spoken of. 00:06:40.360 --> 00:06:43.360 We don't. 00:06:43.360 --> 00:06:46.360 Because we think it's too small. 00:06:46.360 --> 00:06:53.360 Every time I pray and something happens in a far-off country, which you'll not see results for for the next 14 years, 00:06:53.360 --> 00:07:05.360 I'll still come and talk about it because 14 years later, that hand-sized cloud becomes rain. 00:07:05.360 --> 00:07:06.360 That's why you can't... 00:07:06.360 --> 00:07:08.360 Yeah. 00:07:08.360 --> 00:07:10.360 Any questions before we go on? 00:07:10.360 --> 00:07:17.360 Any questions before we go on? 00:07:17.360 --> 00:07:22.360 Most everything that Acts 29 will start will be pretty small, guys. 00:07:22.360 --> 00:07:23.360 Yeah. 00:07:23.360 --> 00:07:25.360 Some churches are meant to do that. 00:07:25.360 --> 00:07:27.360 Some churches are meant to do big splash. 00:07:27.360 --> 00:07:29.360 Some churches soft opening. 00:07:29.360 --> 00:07:33.360 Some churches do not despite the day of small beginnings. 00:07:33.360 --> 00:07:34.360 This is one of those churches. 00:07:34.360 --> 00:07:40.360 It will always be tiny, but it starts as a seed and then it becomes a tree eventually. 00:07:40.360 --> 00:07:42.360 And it takes time. 00:07:42.360 --> 00:07:47.360 I've been watching a lemon grow on one lemon tree and it took nine months for one lemon. 00:07:47.360 --> 00:07:52.360 So you can imagine what a tree... how long a tree takes. 00:07:52.360 --> 00:07:56.360 Any questions? 00:07:56.360 --> 00:07:59.360 James 517 makes an extraordinary claim. 00:07:59.360 --> 00:08:03.360 James 517 makes an extraordinary claim. 00:08:03.360 --> 00:08:08.360 He says that Elijah was a man just like me. 00:08:08.360 --> 00:08:10.360 Most of us don't believe it. 00:08:10.360 --> 00:08:14.360 I find it hard to believe. 00:08:14.360 --> 00:08:16.360 When you hear of the phenomenal things he did, 00:08:16.360 --> 00:08:22.360 when you hear that Moses and Elijah came down to visit Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration, 00:08:22.360 --> 00:08:25.360 you think to yourself, surely he can't be a man just like me. 00:08:25.360 --> 00:08:30.360 And yet, James 517 makes this extraordinary claim that Elijah is a man like us. 00:08:30.360 --> 00:08:32.360 Elijah is a man like us. 00:08:32.360 --> 00:08:42.360 In which case, it would be good if we imitated his MO, or his method of operation. 00:08:42.360 --> 00:08:47.360 And so, what is one thing that you find common in Elijah's prayer 00:08:47.360 --> 00:08:50.360 is that it doesn't matter whether he's raising a dead boy 00:08:50.360 --> 00:08:55.360 or whether he's dealing with the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. 00:08:55.360 --> 00:08:57.360 It doesn't matter what he does. 00:08:57.360 --> 00:08:59.360 He would follow this pattern. 00:08:59.360 --> 00:09:07.360 See, pray, proclaim, persevere. 00:09:10.360 --> 00:09:13.360 See, pray, proclaim, persevere. 00:09:13.360 --> 00:09:15.360 This was his pattern. 00:09:15.360 --> 00:09:19.360 He would see first, or hear first, what God was going to do, 00:09:19.360 --> 00:09:21.360 and then he would pray into it. 00:09:21.360 --> 00:09:24.360 But then, he would not wait for the outcome or the results. 00:09:24.360 --> 00:09:28.360 Much before the result was even visible, he would begin to proclaim it. 00:09:30.360 --> 00:09:34.360 And then after proclaiming it, he would persevere to bring it to pass. 00:09:34.360 --> 00:09:37.360 It's something that we don't do. 00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:39.360 We change the order. 00:09:39.360 --> 00:09:44.360 We do see, we do pray, but proclamation here comes at the end, 00:09:44.360 --> 00:09:47.360 because what if it doesn't happen? 00:09:47.360 --> 00:09:50.360 But this man would always go about it this way. 00:09:50.360 --> 00:09:53.360 He would see first, he would then pray into it. 00:09:53.360 --> 00:09:56.360 And once he starts praying into it, he would go ahead and proclaim it. 00:09:56.360 --> 00:10:01.360 And then after proclamation, he would persevere so that it could be birthed through. 00:10:03.360 --> 00:10:05.360 Any questions? 00:10:07.360 --> 00:10:12.360 See, pray, proclaim, persevere. 00:10:12.360 --> 00:10:19.360 Or if you want to use another P word, perceive, pray, proclaim, persevere. 00:10:20.360 --> 00:10:22.360 Any questions? 00:10:24.360 --> 00:10:26.360 How about the? 00:10:26.360 --> 00:10:28.360 Yeah, so the unseen is the seeing. 00:10:28.360 --> 00:10:30.360 The perceiving is the unseen. 00:10:30.360 --> 00:10:32.360 He cannot see it for real. 00:10:32.360 --> 00:10:34.360 But he either perceives it through hearing or seeing, 00:10:34.360 --> 00:10:37.360 and then he begins to pray into it. 00:10:37.360 --> 00:10:39.360 And after praying, he proclaims it. 00:10:39.360 --> 00:10:42.360 After proclaiming, he just keeps at it, keeps at it. 00:10:44.360 --> 00:10:46.360 So the result, he proclaims immediately. 00:10:46.360 --> 00:10:49.360 And you can only proclaim a result when you actually believe it. 00:10:51.360 --> 00:10:55.360 You can never proclaim the outcome if you don't believe it, because you're scared. 00:11:00.360 --> 00:11:04.360 And you can't proclaim the outcome if you haven't seen it, and it's not God. 00:11:04.360 --> 00:11:10.360 And you can't see it and begin to believe it until you begin to have conversations with him. 00:11:16.360 --> 00:11:30.360 And so prayer is actually finding out, prayer is finding out what the Father wants, 00:11:36.360 --> 00:11:38.360 finding out what the Father wants to do, 00:11:38.360 --> 00:11:56.360 then standing in Christ before him and the world, 00:11:56.360 --> 00:12:03.360 then asking him to do it, 00:12:09.360 --> 00:12:12.360 then cooperating with the Holy Spirit 00:12:19.360 --> 00:12:24.360 by either announcing it or actioning it. 00:12:26.360 --> 00:12:32.360 It's beautiful. 00:12:32.360 --> 00:12:39.360 So prayer is never playing a guessing game, never hazarding guesses and hoping it will work, 00:12:39.360 --> 00:12:43.360 never coming up with earthly solutions and christening them in the name of Christ. 00:12:43.360 --> 00:12:46.360 The prayer is finding out what the Father wants to do. 00:12:46.360 --> 00:12:51.360 Once you know what the Father wants to do, then standing in Christ, as in he is your firm foundation. 00:12:52.360 --> 00:12:58.360 It's in him, in his promises, in the words he's spoken, in the faithfulness of who he is, 00:12:58.360 --> 00:13:01.360 in his ability to keep promises. 00:13:01.360 --> 00:13:08.360 You stand in him before God, you stand in him, and before the world, you stand in him. 00:13:08.360 --> 00:13:12.360 It's unshakable ground. Otherwise, it's very shaky. 00:13:12.360 --> 00:13:19.360 You can't stand on a prophetic word if you don't think that it is Christ's faithfulness that you stand in. 00:13:19.360 --> 00:13:24.360 Prophetic words won't help you. They'll encourage you, but you can't stand in it till you know, 00:13:24.360 --> 00:13:27.360 this is Christ I'm standing in who has sent a word. 00:13:27.360 --> 00:13:35.360 And then you ask him to do it. Now that he's said it, you do it, O God. You do it. 00:13:35.360 --> 00:13:42.360 You're a covenant-keeping God. You do it. I've already begun to tell people about it. 00:13:42.360 --> 00:13:46.360 But you do it. And then you cooperate with the Holy Spirit. What does that mean? 00:13:46.360 --> 00:13:50.360 How do you want to execute this Holy Spirit? Show me. You want me to announce it? I'll announce it. 00:13:50.360 --> 00:13:53.360 You want me to action it? I'll action it. 00:13:56.360 --> 00:14:02.360 There's this thing of standing in the evil day. That's critical. 00:14:02.360 --> 00:14:07.360 Those that don't persevere do not see the results. 00:14:09.360 --> 00:14:13.360 Why? Because God is stingy? No. Because we have an active enemy. 00:14:13.360 --> 00:14:17.360 Please understand. It's not because God is stingy. It's because we have an active enemy. 00:14:17.360 --> 00:14:21.360 Where do you get that from, Jacob? You get it from the book of Daniel, for one. 00:14:21.360 --> 00:14:25.360 Daniel, the moment you started to pray, God heard and he answered. 00:14:25.360 --> 00:14:29.360 But for the last 21 days, you haven't received the answer because for the last 21 days, 00:14:29.360 --> 00:14:34.360 the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Greece have opposed what was supposed to happen. 00:14:34.360 --> 00:14:38.360 But I have fought against them and I've brought you the answer. 00:18:40.360 --> 00:18:42.360 And I'm talking about earthly, godly solutions. 00:18:42.360 --> 00:18:46.360 So something happens at Axemenian, something happens in your life, and instantly you know, 00:18:46.360 --> 00:18:51.360 this is how we've always done it at Axemenian, this is how we've always practiced it biblically. 00:18:51.360 --> 00:18:55.360 And so we immediately go to it when the default should be. 00:18:55.360 --> 00:18:59.360 For every situation here that we face on earth, there are earthly solutions, 00:18:59.360 --> 00:19:01.360 and there are heavenly solutions. 00:19:01.360 --> 00:19:11.360 It's your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven, not your will be done here. 00:19:11.360 --> 00:19:14.360 Sorry, it shouldn't be the other way around. 00:19:14.360 --> 00:19:21.360 It's not earth's will that heaven should bless, it's heaven's will that should be done on earth. 00:19:21.360 --> 00:19:26.360 And so there's always these two solutions we have, always. 00:19:26.360 --> 00:19:28.360 Finances, there's that solution. 00:19:28.360 --> 00:19:33.360 All right, I know this bank or I know this card, I know this way or I can do this, this and this, 00:19:33.360 --> 00:19:36.360 and there's an earthly solution. 00:19:36.360 --> 00:19:39.360 There's even earthly solutions in terms of praying. 00:19:39.360 --> 00:19:41.360 Last time I prayed, this is how I prayed for the headache. 00:19:41.360 --> 00:19:43.360 Let's do it again. 00:19:43.360 --> 00:19:45.360 And you find that the headache gets worse. 00:19:45.360 --> 00:19:48.360 There are divine solutions for every situation. 00:19:53.360 --> 00:19:55.360 Any questions? 00:21:14.360 --> 00:21:18.360 Let me start speaking in tongues and let this van drive. 00:21:18.360 --> 00:21:23.360 He drove for 100 kilometers on an empty tank for the next 100 kilometers. 00:21:23.360 --> 00:21:27.360 And so he drove for 100 kilometers on an empty tank. 00:21:27.360 --> 00:21:29.360 Crazy, eh? 00:34:00.360 --> 00:34:05.360 What if all the young people that we knew were able to come there? 00:34:05.360 --> 00:34:08.360 For three, four days they gather there. 00:34:08.360 --> 00:34:12.360 You'll catch something because they have caught this to an extent 00:34:12.360 --> 00:34:18.360 where they do not stay home. What is it in real life? 00:44:50.360 --> 00:44:55.360 Some of us have tasted it, some of us will be introduced to it. 00:44:55.360 --> 00:44:58.360 This is not... yeah. 00:45:01.360 --> 00:45:04.360 Next one, enlightened prayer. 00:45:04.360 --> 00:45:11.360 Enlightened prayer where it's Ephesians 1.17-18, 00:45:11.360 --> 00:45:13.360 and Paul is praying for the church and he says, 00:45:13.360 --> 00:45:17.360 Hey church, I pray God that God opens your eyes, 00:45:17.360 --> 00:45:21.360 and that wisdom hits you, 00:45:21.360 --> 00:45:24.360 and that your minds and hearts are enlightened, 00:45:24.360 --> 00:45:28.360 that God reveals to you the purpose of your calling Acts 29, 00:45:28.360 --> 00:45:31.360 the understanding of Hebrews, Hebrews 2.2. 00:45:31.360 --> 00:45:32.360 What does it look like? 00:45:32.360 --> 00:45:34.360 Let him show you how much he loves you. 00:45:34.360 --> 00:45:38.360 Let him show you the riches he has for you as you go about his business. 00:45:38.360 --> 00:45:39.360 Let him show you this. 00:45:39.360 --> 00:45:42.360 It's prayer that enlightens the heart. 00:45:42.360 --> 00:45:47.360 It's like, remember when you would have a math problem and you would never know how to solve it, 00:45:47.360 --> 00:45:50.360 then someone would show you why it is a problem and how it should be solved, 00:45:50.360 --> 00:45:52.360 and how it should be solved at Eureka! 00:45:52.360 --> 00:45:54.360 Chava Chava! 00:46:00.360 --> 00:46:03.360 I hope your folks are not listening to this teaching, Chava. 00:46:06.360 --> 00:46:09.360 And then the last one is fullness. 00:46:10.360 --> 00:46:11.360 Fullness. 00:46:11.360 --> 00:46:15.360 Fullness is when... in the Bible there's always this thing called in the fullness of time. 00:46:15.360 --> 00:46:22.360 So it's prayers from this Greek word called kairos, 00:46:22.360 --> 00:46:24.360 and it's a real Greek word, I'm not faking it. 00:46:24.360 --> 00:46:29.360 There's this word called kairos which means fullness of time, in the fullness of time, 00:46:29.360 --> 00:46:31.360 at the right moment. 00:46:31.360 --> 00:46:35.360 Prayers from kairos, as in from God's desire that, 00:46:35.360 --> 00:46:37.360 hey, now is the time when this has to happen. 00:46:37.360 --> 00:46:39.360 It breaks into history. 00:46:42.360 --> 00:46:44.360 It breaks into history. 00:46:44.360 --> 00:46:49.360 And it just grows rapidly. 00:46:54.360 --> 00:47:00.360 Like if you go to Hebrides 1.0, two ladies, Peggy, Peggy, Sue, and I forgot the other lady's name, 00:47:00.360 --> 00:47:03.360 80 year olds, praying, praying, praying, praying, years and years of praying, 00:47:03.360 --> 00:47:08.360 and then in the fullness of time, one day, out of the blue, 00:47:09.360 --> 00:47:13.360 God decides, alrighty, I'm showing up and I'm putting on the rits. 00:47:14.360 --> 00:47:17.360 And he turns up in this little village, there's a guy called Michael Campbell, 00:47:17.360 --> 00:47:21.360 who's doing a big conference, and he's sitting at the conference, 00:47:21.360 --> 00:47:25.360 and he knows in his heart, gotta leave this conference, you gotta go to Stornoway. 00:47:25.360 --> 00:47:30.360 He goes to Stornoway, lands there, and people are praying. 00:47:32.360 --> 00:47:35.360 And he goes into this room, and he also prays. 00:47:35.360 --> 00:47:37.360 Nothing's happening. People are just praying. 00:47:37.360 --> 00:47:40.360 Nothing is happening. And then one guy gets up. 00:47:40.360 --> 00:47:42.360 And he gets up, and he begins to pray. 00:47:42.360 --> 00:47:46.360 And he says, you're a covenant-keeping God. You said. 00:47:46.360 --> 00:47:49.360 And he begins to pray. And he says, I don't know about the rest of the people here, 00:47:49.360 --> 00:47:52.360 but you're a covenant-keeping God. You want clean hands, pure hearts. 00:47:52.360 --> 00:47:55.360 Well, as far as I know, my hands are clean and my hearts are pure. 00:47:55.360 --> 00:47:59.360 So God, are you gonna keep your covenant, or aren't you? 00:47:59.360 --> 00:48:01.360 And boom! 00:48:03.360 --> 00:48:07.360 It's crazy, man. I assure you, I will see those days. 00:48:08.360 --> 00:48:11.360 It is not a statement of faith. It's a statement of fact. 00:48:12.360 --> 00:48:15.360 I don't need faith for this. It doesn't matter how busy they are. 00:49:55.360 --> 00:49:58.360 Prime ministers, presidents, they all spend time doing this. 00:49:58.360 --> 00:50:03.360 Other faiths do. Our faith has gotten so relational that we don't think we need time. 00:50:03.360 --> 00:50:06.360 Try that with your wife. It doesn't work well. 00:50:08.360 --> 00:50:11.360 Other faiths do. So practice at home, eh? 00:50:12.360 --> 00:50:14.360 Devoting and preserving time. 00:50:15.360 --> 00:50:22.360 Find a time that is more than you can handle and less than what is unreasonable. 00:50:23.360 --> 00:50:26.360 More than you can handle, less than what is unreasonable. 00:50:27.360 --> 00:50:29.360 Just for this week, just practice it. 00:50:32.360 --> 00:50:34.360 How will it help you? 00:50:35.360 --> 00:50:43.360 Prayer forges relationship with God. 00:50:44.360 --> 00:50:51.360 Relationship fuels faith. 00:50:51.360 --> 00:51:01.360 Faith finishes his will on earth. 00:51:02.360 --> 00:51:03.360 It's very simple. 00:51:04.360 --> 00:51:07.360 Prayer forges relationship. 00:51:08.360 --> 00:51:14.360 Where just finding this time and spending it with him, where it becomes very easy to talk to him. 00:51:15.360 --> 00:51:16.360 You're so confident of him. 00:51:17.360 --> 00:51:19.360 You're so friends with him. 00:51:19.360 --> 00:51:22.360 You're so reverent of him. 00:51:23.360 --> 00:51:28.360 Yet there are those moments where you can go jumping into his lap and then bowing at his knee. 00:51:29.360 --> 00:51:31.360 And so faith forges relationship. 00:51:32.360 --> 00:51:33.360 Relationship fuels faith. 00:51:34.360 --> 00:51:35.360 Faith finishes the will of God. 00:51:36.360 --> 00:51:38.360 It's very simple, but it's constant. 00:51:39.360 --> 00:51:40.360 It's constant. 00:51:42.360 --> 00:51:45.360 Faith forges or fragrances relationship. 00:51:46.360 --> 00:51:47.360 Sorry, prayer fragrances. 00:51:47.360 --> 00:51:55.360 Prayer, if you were to look at it as conversations that are relational and intentional, then prayer forges relationships. 00:51:56.360 --> 00:51:57.360 Relationship fuels faith. 00:51:58.360 --> 00:52:00.360 Faith finishes his will on earth. 00:52:01.360 --> 00:52:08.360 The other thing I want us to do this week is can you have two rooms in your heart? 00:52:09.360 --> 00:52:16.360 And if you want to make it practical and have more than one room in your house, 00:52:17.360 --> 00:52:25.360 then you have two rooms in your heart and in your physical home where first you begin. 00:52:26.360 --> 00:52:41.360 The first room you enter, you join creation, the mountains, the seas, the trees, and you just engage in a time of worship. 00:52:42.360 --> 00:52:44.360 Do that first. 00:52:45.360 --> 00:52:50.360 And then after that, go into the other room, be it your heart or be it an actual room. 00:52:51.360 --> 00:52:54.360 After that, go into the other room and there begin to pray. 00:52:55.360 --> 00:53:01.360 You know, if you practice this and you get it into your heart, you'll find it very helpful 00:53:02.360 --> 00:53:07.360 because usually when circumstances are threatening, when you have challenges in our life, when you have urgent needs in our life, 00:53:08.360 --> 00:53:09.360 we go to prayer too soon. 00:53:09.360 --> 00:53:10.360 Do not go to prayer that quickly. 00:53:11.360 --> 00:53:20.360 If there's an urgent, difficult circumstance and challenge in your life, go to this other room first where you behold majesty. 00:53:21.360 --> 00:53:24.360 As you behold majesty, you become what you need to be for the situation. 00:53:25.360 --> 00:53:29.360 As you behold majesty, you begin to see who he wants to be in the situation. 00:53:30.360 --> 00:53:37.360 Too often in a crisis, in circumstances that are difficult, in need, we go to prayer too soon. 00:53:37.360 --> 00:53:44.360 And then there's this desperate help me prayer which has very little faith, very little trust, is hoping. 00:53:45.360 --> 00:53:46.360 It's like throwing coins into a well. 00:53:47.360 --> 00:53:50.360 It's wishful prayer, not hope-filled prayer. 00:53:51.360 --> 00:53:54.360 Hope-filled prayer comes because I have just seen him. 00:54:07.360 --> 00:54:08.360 I mean, 00:54:30.360 --> 00:54:34.360 Sing that 18 times and then go to your next room. 00:54:34.360 --> 00:54:40.360 You will finish in prayer in 1.8 minutes. 00:54:41.360 --> 00:54:42.360 What would have taken you? 180 minutes. 00:54:43.360 --> 00:54:45.360 Why?
