00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:14.640
It talks about the armor of God for the first seven or eight verses, and then it ends with,

00:00:14.640 --> 00:00:24.360
to all this, or wrap this all up or add to it, a prayer. So if you go to Ephesians 6.18,

00:00:24.360 --> 00:00:31.360
at the end of it, after describing everything else that the armor contains, it wraps it up with Ephesians 6.18,

00:00:31.360 --> 00:00:37.360
which says, And pray in the Spirit on all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests.

00:00:37.360 --> 00:00:47.360
With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. It seems to be the full stop or the hard stop to most things that God asks us to do.

00:00:47.360 --> 00:00:57.360
And so one of the things I felt the Lord saying for us is, after the last eight weeks of teaching—and if you look at the last eight weeks of teaching,

00:00:57.360 --> 00:01:07.360
it's about going. There was a series on Go, then there was a whole Ruah meeting that we had where it was,

00:01:07.360 --> 00:01:17.360
be filled, be joyed, be convicted, be free and be on fire. And then last week we talked about what the gospel actually means.

00:01:17.360 --> 00:01:29.360
And so I felt God saying, Okay, now can you pray? Can you pray so you can go? And so that's what we'll talk about today.

00:01:29.360 --> 00:01:39.360
And so prayer must precede proclamation. Prayer must precede proclamation.

00:01:39.360 --> 00:01:49.360
And it's not because it's a church thing to do. It's because again and again in the Bible, you see that it's the pattern that's followed.

00:01:49.360 --> 00:01:59.360
So if you look at Acts chapter 2, you see that they gathered together in the upper room and they were fasting, they were praying,

00:01:59.360 --> 00:02:11.360
they were together in one accord. And that's when the Spirit of God came upon the earth to transform these fishermen, these tax collectors, into witnesses.

00:02:12.360 --> 00:02:24.360
So in Acts chapter 2, you see that. In Acts chapter 4, you see that again, that when they were beaten up and they were thrown into prison or when they were beaten up and told never to preach again,

00:02:24.360 --> 00:02:31.360
they would go back and they would start praying again. And when they would pray, a boldness would come that would allow them to go.

00:02:31.360 --> 00:02:41.360
You see that again in Acts chapter 13, where in Antioch, after the persecution that distributed the Church of Jerusalem all across the Middle East,

00:02:41.360 --> 00:02:49.360
you see in Acts 13 the apostles, the teachers, the prophets, the equippers gathering, and they were again praying and fasting.

00:02:49.360 --> 00:02:53.360
When the Spirit of God said to them, set aside for me Paul and Barnabas.

00:02:53.360 --> 00:03:03.360
So there almost seems to be this precept in the New Testament that prayer must precede proclamation.

00:03:03.360 --> 00:03:17.360
So the second thing is prayer is always propelled, prayer is propelled from a place of disadvantage, from a place of disadvantage.

00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:22.360
From a place of disadvantage, from a place of disadvantage.

00:03:22.360 --> 00:03:38.360
So be it what we saw with Gideon's 300, or be it a small church like ours in a city of 2.7 million people, or be it on Mount Carmel, where the odds were 450 to 1.

00:03:38.360 --> 00:03:48.360
And it was wet bull versus dry bull, wet wood versus dry wood. The odds were always against and the odds are highly stacked.

00:03:48.360 --> 00:03:53.360
And so prayer is propelled from a place of disadvantage.

00:03:53.360 --> 00:04:02.360
The more disadvantaged you are, the more likely you should go towards prayer and then find that that's one of the favorite places God likes to operate from.

00:04:02.360 --> 00:04:08.360
He operates from a place of disadvantage. He loves operating from a place of disadvantage.

00:04:08.360 --> 00:04:12.360
And when he finds you two advantages, he actually whittles you down to size.

00:04:12.360 --> 00:04:21.360
He goes from 30,000 people in an army, which already was facing another army of 300,000, and then brings it down to 300, which is just crazy.

00:04:21.360 --> 00:04:28.360
So these are things that are for sure, these are patterns that have been preserved from the Old Testament onwards.

00:04:29.360 --> 00:04:36.360
And the third thing is prayer must persevere. Prayer must persevere. Prayer must persevere.

00:04:39.360 --> 00:04:46.360
And as you persevere, God makes, when you persevere, and you only see it when you persevere, God makes rain.

00:04:46.360 --> 00:04:55.360
God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer.

00:04:55.360 --> 00:05:01.360
God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer.

00:05:01.360 --> 00:05:09.360
You see that in 1 Kings 18, 44, where Elijah sends his servant.

00:05:09.360 --> 00:05:19.360
I think that servant would have, I mean, he had such a workout that day because he's praying and then he'll have to go all the way up the mountain.

00:05:19.360 --> 00:05:23.360
And then he goes and looks and then he sees nothing and then he says, I see nothing.

00:05:23.360 --> 00:05:27.360
And then he prays again, six times going up Mount Carmel, man.

00:05:27.360 --> 00:05:31.360
That's like doing grouse grind six times in a day.

00:05:31.360 --> 00:05:36.360
And the sixth time he's like, I'm going to give him my resignation letter and thank God.

00:05:36.360 --> 00:05:40.360
There comes a fist-sized cloud, that's cloud the size of your hand.

00:05:40.360 --> 00:05:46.360
And so what we don't realize is that prayer must persevere because God makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer.

00:05:46.360 --> 00:05:48.360
We don't think like this.

00:05:48.360 --> 00:05:54.360
Sometimes when small things happen when you pray, we don't even feel like we should talk about it.

00:05:54.360 --> 00:06:00.360
Or sometimes when we talk about it, people look at it and say, oh, so he's encouraged with that?

00:06:00.360 --> 00:06:05.360
Yes.

00:06:05.360 --> 00:06:08.360
The world has this ability to shut you down if it's not phenomenal.

00:06:08.360 --> 00:06:15.360
And so many of us keep quiet because we hear such phenomenal stories that the little stories fall by the wayside.

00:06:15.360 --> 00:06:21.360
But we never realize that one of the things God loves doing is start with a hand-sized cloud.

00:06:21.360 --> 00:06:26.360
That is a result of you praying because he makes rain from the cloud you formed in prayer.

00:06:26.360 --> 00:06:31.360
Jesus does this with the two loaves and five fish.

00:06:31.360 --> 00:06:34.360
But we keep it back.

00:06:34.360 --> 00:06:36.360
So little things must be spoken of.

00:06:36.360 --> 00:06:40.360
Little results you see in prayer must be spoken of.

00:06:40.360 --> 00:06:43.360
We don't.

00:06:43.360 --> 00:06:46.360
Because we think it's too small.

00:06:46.360 --> 00:06:53.360
Every time I pray and something happens in a far-off country, which you'll not see results for for the next 14 years,

00:06:53.360 --> 00:07:05.360
I'll still come and talk about it because 14 years later, that hand-sized cloud becomes rain.

00:07:05.360 --> 00:07:06.360
That's why you can't...

00:07:06.360 --> 00:07:08.360
Yeah.

00:07:08.360 --> 00:07:10.360
Any questions before we go on?

00:07:10.360 --> 00:07:17.360
Any questions before we go on?

00:07:17.360 --> 00:07:22.360
Most everything that Acts 29 will start will be pretty small, guys.

00:07:22.360 --> 00:07:23.360
Yeah.

00:07:23.360 --> 00:07:25.360
Some churches are meant to do that.

00:07:25.360 --> 00:07:27.360
Some churches are meant to do big splash.

00:07:27.360 --> 00:07:29.360
Some churches soft opening.

00:07:29.360 --> 00:07:33.360
Some churches do not despite the day of small beginnings.

00:07:33.360 --> 00:07:34.360
This is one of those churches.

00:07:34.360 --> 00:07:40.360
It will always be tiny, but it starts as a seed and then it becomes a tree eventually.

00:07:40.360 --> 00:07:42.360
And it takes time.

00:07:42.360 --> 00:07:47.360
I've been watching a lemon grow on one lemon tree and it took nine months for one lemon.

00:07:47.360 --> 00:07:52.360
So you can imagine what a tree... how long a tree takes.

00:07:52.360 --> 00:07:56.360
Any questions?

00:07:56.360 --> 00:07:59.360
James 517 makes an extraordinary claim.

00:07:59.360 --> 00:08:03.360
James 517 makes an extraordinary claim.

00:08:03.360 --> 00:08:08.360
He says that Elijah was a man just like me.

00:08:08.360 --> 00:08:10.360
Most of us don't believe it.

00:08:10.360 --> 00:08:14.360
I find it hard to believe.

00:08:14.360 --> 00:08:16.360
When you hear of the phenomenal things he did,

00:08:16.360 --> 00:08:22.360
when you hear that Moses and Elijah came down to visit Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration,

00:08:22.360 --> 00:08:25.360
you think to yourself, surely he can't be a man just like me.

00:08:25.360 --> 00:08:30.360
And yet, James 517 makes this extraordinary claim that Elijah is a man like us.

00:08:30.360 --> 00:08:32.360
Elijah is a man like us.

00:08:32.360 --> 00:08:42.360
In which case, it would be good if we imitated his MO, or his method of operation.

00:08:42.360 --> 00:08:47.360
And so, what is one thing that you find common in Elijah's prayer

00:08:47.360 --> 00:08:50.360
is that it doesn't matter whether he's raising a dead boy

00:08:50.360 --> 00:08:55.360
or whether he's dealing with the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel.

00:08:55.360 --> 00:08:57.360
It doesn't matter what he does.

00:08:57.360 --> 00:08:59.360
He would follow this pattern.

00:08:59.360 --> 00:09:07.360
See, pray, proclaim, persevere.

00:09:10.360 --> 00:09:13.360
See, pray, proclaim, persevere.

00:09:13.360 --> 00:09:15.360
This was his pattern.

00:09:15.360 --> 00:09:19.360
He would see first, or hear first, what God was going to do,

00:09:19.360 --> 00:09:21.360
and then he would pray into it.

00:09:21.360 --> 00:09:24.360
But then, he would not wait for the outcome or the results.

00:09:24.360 --> 00:09:28.360
Much before the result was even visible, he would begin to proclaim it.

00:09:30.360 --> 00:09:34.360
And then after proclaiming it, he would persevere to bring it to pass.

00:09:34.360 --> 00:09:37.360
It's something that we don't do.

00:09:37.360 --> 00:09:39.360
We change the order.

00:09:39.360 --> 00:09:44.360
We do see, we do pray, but proclamation here comes at the end,

00:09:44.360 --> 00:09:47.360
because what if it doesn't happen?

00:09:47.360 --> 00:09:50.360
But this man would always go about it this way.

00:09:50.360 --> 00:09:53.360
He would see first, he would then pray into it.

00:09:53.360 --> 00:09:56.360
And once he starts praying into it, he would go ahead and proclaim it.

00:09:56.360 --> 00:10:01.360
And then after proclamation, he would persevere so that it could be birthed through.

00:10:03.360 --> 00:10:05.360
Any questions?

00:10:07.360 --> 00:10:12.360
See, pray, proclaim, persevere.

00:10:12.360 --> 00:10:19.360
Or if you want to use another P word, perceive, pray, proclaim, persevere.

00:10:20.360 --> 00:10:22.360
Any questions?

00:10:24.360 --> 00:10:26.360
How about the?

00:10:26.360 --> 00:10:28.360
Yeah, so the unseen is the seeing.

00:10:28.360 --> 00:10:30.360
The perceiving is the unseen.

00:10:30.360 --> 00:10:32.360
He cannot see it for real.

00:10:32.360 --> 00:10:34.360
But he either perceives it through hearing or seeing,

00:10:34.360 --> 00:10:37.360
and then he begins to pray into it.

00:10:37.360 --> 00:10:39.360
And after praying, he proclaims it.

00:10:39.360 --> 00:10:42.360
After proclaiming, he just keeps at it, keeps at it.

00:10:44.360 --> 00:10:46.360
So the result, he proclaims immediately.

00:10:46.360 --> 00:10:49.360
And you can only proclaim a result when you actually believe it.

00:10:51.360 --> 00:10:55.360
You can never proclaim the outcome if you don't believe it, because you're scared.

00:11:00.360 --> 00:11:04.360
And you can't proclaim the outcome if you haven't seen it, and it's not God.

00:11:04.360 --> 00:11:10.360
And you can't see it and begin to believe it until you begin to have conversations with him.

00:11:16.360 --> 00:11:30.360
And so prayer is actually finding out, prayer is finding out what the Father wants,

00:11:36.360 --> 00:11:38.360
finding out what the Father wants to do,

00:11:38.360 --> 00:11:56.360
then standing in Christ before him and the world,

00:11:56.360 --> 00:12:03.360
then asking him to do it,

00:12:09.360 --> 00:12:12.360
then cooperating with the Holy Spirit

00:12:19.360 --> 00:12:24.360
by either announcing it or actioning it.

00:12:26.360 --> 00:12:32.360
It's beautiful.

00:12:32.360 --> 00:12:39.360
So prayer is never playing a guessing game, never hazarding guesses and hoping it will work,

00:12:39.360 --> 00:12:43.360
never coming up with earthly solutions and christening them in the name of Christ.

00:12:43.360 --> 00:12:46.360
The prayer is finding out what the Father wants to do.

00:12:46.360 --> 00:12:51.360
Once you know what the Father wants to do, then standing in Christ, as in he is your firm foundation.

00:12:52.360 --> 00:12:58.360
It's in him, in his promises, in the words he's spoken, in the faithfulness of who he is,

00:12:58.360 --> 00:13:01.360
in his ability to keep promises.

00:13:01.360 --> 00:13:08.360
You stand in him before God, you stand in him, and before the world, you stand in him.

00:13:08.360 --> 00:13:12.360
It's unshakable ground. Otherwise, it's very shaky.

00:13:12.360 --> 00:13:19.360
You can't stand on a prophetic word if you don't think that it is Christ's faithfulness that you stand in.

00:13:19.360 --> 00:13:24.360
Prophetic words won't help you. They'll encourage you, but you can't stand in it till you know,

00:13:24.360 --> 00:13:27.360
this is Christ I'm standing in who has sent a word.

00:13:27.360 --> 00:13:35.360
And then you ask him to do it. Now that he's said it, you do it, O God. You do it.

00:13:35.360 --> 00:13:42.360
You're a covenant-keeping God. You do it. I've already begun to tell people about it.

00:13:42.360 --> 00:13:46.360
But you do it. And then you cooperate with the Holy Spirit. What does that mean?

00:13:46.360 --> 00:13:50.360
How do you want to execute this Holy Spirit? Show me. You want me to announce it? I'll announce it.

00:13:50.360 --> 00:13:53.360
You want me to action it? I'll action it.

00:13:56.360 --> 00:14:02.360
There's this thing of standing in the evil day. That's critical.

00:14:02.360 --> 00:14:07.360
Those that don't persevere do not see the results.

00:14:09.360 --> 00:14:13.360
Why? Because God is stingy? No. Because we have an active enemy.

00:14:13.360 --> 00:14:17.360
Please understand. It's not because God is stingy. It's because we have an active enemy.

00:14:17.360 --> 00:14:21.360
Where do you get that from, Jacob? You get it from the book of Daniel, for one.

00:14:21.360 --> 00:14:25.360
Daniel, the moment you started to pray, God heard and he answered.

00:14:25.360 --> 00:14:29.360
But for the last 21 days, you haven't received the answer because for the last 21 days,

00:14:29.360 --> 00:14:34.360
the Prince of Persia and the Prince of Greece have opposed what was supposed to happen.

00:14:34.360 --> 00:14:38.360
But I have fought against them and I've brought you the answer. Sure, it took 21 days.

00:14:38.360 --> 00:14:41.360
It was not because God was hesitant in giving.

00:14:41.360 --> 00:14:45.360
He said, as soon as you spoke, you need to understand, Daniel, that you are precious.

00:14:45.360 --> 00:14:48.360
The words used are, you're precious in the eyes of God.

00:14:48.360 --> 00:14:51.360
And as soon as you asked, the answer was sent.

00:14:53.360 --> 00:14:58.360
Perseverance is not so that God sees your patience and your pushiness and says,

00:14:58.360 --> 00:15:02.360
I guess he deserves it because he's really sticking with it.

00:15:02.360 --> 00:15:09.360
Perseverance is what begins to shake years and years of satanic planning.

00:15:12.360 --> 00:15:16.360
You don't know how long it takes for the devil to set up a trap.

00:15:16.360 --> 00:15:20.360
And then you persevere and you undo it in five days.

00:15:24.360 --> 00:15:26.360
Any questions?

00:15:31.360 --> 00:15:33.360
Any questions?

00:15:42.360 --> 00:15:44.360
More than you?

00:15:44.360 --> 00:15:48.360
Yeah, I think, I don't know if there's...

00:15:49.360 --> 00:15:54.360
I might be wrong or I might be exaggerating, but I don't think I am.

00:15:54.360 --> 00:15:58.360
I don't think there's anything that I have had happen in my life that was of any value

00:15:58.360 --> 00:16:03.360
that happened without having others pray for or with me.

00:16:07.360 --> 00:16:09.360
Can't think of anything.

00:16:09.360 --> 00:16:15.360
Can't think of waxing, can't think of any trip, can't think of any struggle, any problem,

00:16:15.360 --> 00:16:21.360
be it physical, financial, emotional, relational, can't think of anything that I would not have

00:16:21.360 --> 00:16:26.360
or have not spoken to or did not include someone else to help me.

00:16:26.360 --> 00:16:28.360
Not a thing.

00:16:28.360 --> 00:16:32.360
I mean, I'm thinking about the last two weeks, can't think of a thing.

00:16:39.360 --> 00:16:41.360
That's how it's supposed to be.

00:16:45.360 --> 00:16:47.360
News to you?

00:16:48.360 --> 00:16:51.360
Shouldn't be, because that's how it's supposed to be.

00:16:59.360 --> 00:17:01.360
And not one person here, I'm talking about...

00:17:01.360 --> 00:17:04.360
I go and talk to different people.

00:17:04.360 --> 00:17:06.360
And some of them are nodding their heads.

00:17:06.360 --> 00:17:08.360
Different people.

00:17:09.360 --> 00:17:12.360
Because you can't do this alone, man. It's impossible.

00:17:15.360 --> 00:17:19.360
You can handle one problem alone, but you think you have only one problem a week?

00:17:22.360 --> 00:17:24.360
So much more than one.

00:17:24.360 --> 00:17:29.360
So, yeah, I would say it's always with the help of others.

00:17:31.360 --> 00:17:33.360
Two are better than one.

00:17:34.360 --> 00:17:39.360
So you're agreeing with God and you're finding someone who agrees with God and agrees with you.

00:17:40.360 --> 00:17:43.360
A threefold card cannot be broken.

00:17:50.360 --> 00:17:53.360
The other thing is, guys, because we live in two realms,

00:17:53.360 --> 00:18:00.360
because we live in two realms, as in we live here on earth, we also belong to God in heaven,

00:18:00.360 --> 00:18:06.360
because we live in two realms, what often happens is whenever we are faced with situations,

00:18:06.360 --> 00:18:14.360
we have earthly solutions that we ask God to bless.

00:18:16.360 --> 00:18:24.360
And then there's a heavenly solution that we are supposed to find out.

00:18:31.360 --> 00:18:33.360
The earthly solution comes quickly.

00:18:33.360 --> 00:18:35.360
We kind of know.

00:18:35.360 --> 00:18:40.360
But the time that we need to spend is, in this situation, what's the heavenly solution?

00:18:40.360 --> 00:18:42.360
And I'm talking about earthly, godly solutions.

00:18:42.360 --> 00:18:46.360
So something happens at Axemenian, something happens in your life, and instantly you know,

00:18:46.360 --> 00:18:51.360
this is how we've always done it at Axemenian, this is how we've always practiced it biblically.

00:18:51.360 --> 00:18:55.360
And so we immediately go to it when the default should be.

00:18:55.360 --> 00:18:59.360
For every situation here that we face on earth, there are earthly solutions,

00:18:59.360 --> 00:19:01.360
and there are heavenly solutions.

00:19:01.360 --> 00:19:11.360
It's your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven, not your will be done here.

00:19:11.360 --> 00:19:14.360
Sorry, it shouldn't be the other way around.

00:19:14.360 --> 00:19:21.360
It's not earth's will that heaven should bless, it's heaven's will that should be done on earth.

00:19:21.360 --> 00:19:26.360
And so there's always these two solutions we have, always.

00:19:26.360 --> 00:19:28.360
Finances, there's that solution.

00:19:28.360 --> 00:19:33.360
All right, I know this bank or I know this card, I know this way or I can do this, this and this,

00:19:33.360 --> 00:19:36.360
and there's an earthly solution.

00:19:36.360 --> 00:19:39.360
There's even earthly solutions in terms of praying.

00:19:39.360 --> 00:19:41.360
Last time I prayed, this is how I prayed for the headache.

00:19:41.360 --> 00:19:43.360
Let's do it again.

00:19:43.360 --> 00:19:45.360
And you find that the headache gets worse.

00:19:45.360 --> 00:19:48.360
There are divine solutions for every situation.

00:19:53.360 --> 00:19:55.360
Any questions?

00:19:57.360 --> 00:19:59.360
No?

00:19:59.360 --> 00:20:01.360
Go ahead, Chava.

00:20:01.360 --> 00:20:03.360
Chava, Chava.

00:20:03.360 --> 00:20:05.360
Okay, go ahead, Chava.

00:20:05.360 --> 00:20:09.360
Can they be the same as the heavenly solutions?

00:20:09.360 --> 00:20:13.360
Yeah, they can be the same if you're finely tuned,

00:20:13.360 --> 00:20:17.360
because sometimes the very thing that you thought of is the very thing God is thinking of.

00:20:17.360 --> 00:20:19.360
So that's very possible.

00:20:19.360 --> 00:20:22.360
And it's not a realm reserved for a few.

00:20:22.360 --> 00:20:28.360
Any day that you're walking with God can be a day when most of the common sense solutions you come up with

00:20:28.360 --> 00:20:30.360
are the common sense of God.

00:20:30.360 --> 00:20:32.360
Yeah.

00:20:38.360 --> 00:20:41.360
I mean, you heard the story from Nee.

00:20:41.360 --> 00:20:46.360
He's driving, his gas tank is empty.

00:20:46.360 --> 00:20:49.360
Earthly solutions, I can think of a few.

00:20:49.360 --> 00:20:55.360
Call Brandon, tell him to bring a chopper and bail him out.

00:20:55.360 --> 00:20:57.360
Okay, that doesn't work.

00:20:57.360 --> 00:20:59.360
All right.

00:21:01.360 --> 00:21:04.360
Just pray that you find the closest gas station.

00:21:04.360 --> 00:21:07.360
Three, wrap yourself up in all the jackets you can find

00:21:07.360 --> 00:21:10.360
and go under the seat of the van and hope you stay warm.

00:21:10.360 --> 00:21:12.360
All kinds of earthly solutions.

00:21:12.360 --> 00:21:14.360
But what did he figure out?

00:21:14.360 --> 00:21:18.360
Let me start speaking in tongues and let this van drive.

00:21:18.360 --> 00:21:23.360
He drove for 100 kilometers on an empty tank for the next 100 kilometers.

00:21:23.360 --> 00:21:27.360
And so he drove for 100 kilometers on an empty tank.

00:21:27.360 --> 00:21:29.360
Crazy, eh?

00:21:31.360 --> 00:21:34.360
There are earthly solutions and there are heavenly solutions.

00:21:34.360 --> 00:21:42.360
Always find the heavenly one, because it's so easy for us as experienced Christians to default to the earthly one.

00:21:42.360 --> 00:21:47.360
I'm always shame-faced after I've tried the earthly one and it's failed.

00:21:47.360 --> 00:21:49.360
I usually do that in secret.

00:21:49.360 --> 00:21:51.360
This is before I ask anyone for prayer.

00:21:51.360 --> 00:21:54.360
Quickly try the quick-shot way and then it says,

00:21:54.360 --> 00:21:56.360
your application has been rejected.

00:21:56.360 --> 00:21:59.360
Now you turn to God and to people.

00:22:07.360 --> 00:22:11.360
Surely there were better ways to get taxes paid than going fishing,

00:22:11.360 --> 00:22:14.360
but that was the divine solution.

00:22:18.360 --> 00:22:21.360
We pray with God, not towards Him.

00:22:21.360 --> 00:22:24.360
Please remember this, because we'll be, just like Ruwa,

00:22:24.360 --> 00:22:29.360
we'll have a week shortly soon where we'll be practicing this.

00:22:29.360 --> 00:22:34.360
We pray with God, not towards Him.

00:22:34.360 --> 00:22:37.360
Not towards Him.

00:22:39.360 --> 00:22:42.360
We pray with the answer,

00:22:42.360 --> 00:22:47.360
not trying to find one.

00:22:50.360 --> 00:22:53.360
That's how you pray. That's critically.

00:22:53.360 --> 00:22:58.360
What a difference it'll make when this becomes normal across the earth,

00:22:58.360 --> 00:23:02.360
that we pray with God, as in we agree with you.

00:23:02.360 --> 00:23:06.360
We pray with God, not towards God,

00:23:06.360 --> 00:23:11.360
and we pray with the answer, not trying to find one.

00:23:11.360 --> 00:23:16.360
How do we not have to worry when we have that?

00:23:16.360 --> 00:23:21.360
Do we think about how it works when we pray with God?

00:23:21.360 --> 00:23:26.360
Yeah. How do we handle it when we think we've heard God,

00:23:26.360 --> 00:23:30.360
we know it is God, we are praying with it and nothing is happening?

00:23:30.360 --> 00:23:32.360
Isn't that discouraging?

00:23:32.360 --> 00:23:34.360
How do we continue if we are discouraged like that,

00:23:34.360 --> 00:23:36.360
is the question asked.

00:23:36.360 --> 00:23:38.360
I would say, you know,

00:23:38.360 --> 00:23:41.360
if we are discouraged like that, is the question asked,

00:23:41.360 --> 00:23:44.360
and I would say, yes, it's true that we are discouraged,

00:23:44.360 --> 00:23:46.360
it's true that we've stood and nothing has happened,

00:23:46.360 --> 00:23:50.360
and that's when you turn to two things first, or three things.

00:23:50.360 --> 00:23:55.360
One, His nature, two, perseverance, and three, to others.

00:23:55.360 --> 00:23:59.360
That's my standard approach, it's a Bible standard approach.

00:23:59.360 --> 00:24:03.360
Turn to one, His nature, as in, you're not,

00:24:03.360 --> 00:24:05.360
before you go and say, you said,

00:24:05.360 --> 00:24:09.360
you should also say to yourself, this is who He is.

00:24:09.360 --> 00:24:14.360
Once you say, this is who He is, you can say, you said.

00:24:14.360 --> 00:24:18.360
Otherwise, when I say, you said, I put Him in the dock.

00:24:18.360 --> 00:24:22.360
Now He's in a court and I'm saying, you said, but you haven't.

00:24:22.360 --> 00:24:27.360
But if I tell Him, if I tell myself or remind myself of who He is,

00:24:27.360 --> 00:24:31.360
then when I say, you said, I'm not saying, you said and you haven't,

00:24:31.360 --> 00:24:35.360
I'm saying, you said and I know you and I know how you do these things.

00:24:35.360 --> 00:24:39.360
Second one, perseverance, to persevere,

00:24:39.360 --> 00:24:42.360
which is what we talked about,

00:24:42.360 --> 00:24:45.360
because there's an active opposition to what we're doing.

00:24:45.360 --> 00:24:51.360
I'm not even bringing up faith because I expect faith to be a der, foundation.

00:24:51.360 --> 00:24:55.360
And the third one is, now I turn to others,

00:24:55.360 --> 00:24:59.360
because whenever my muscles begin to weaken and my shoulders begin to sag,

00:24:59.360 --> 00:25:03.360
someone needs to come and become Aaron and Her.

00:25:03.360 --> 00:25:11.360
And without that, it's very difficult.

00:25:11.360 --> 00:25:16.360
Then a fourth way of really getting things going,

00:25:16.360 --> 00:25:19.360
which we'll talk about a little later, is to go,

00:25:19.360 --> 00:25:25.360
chava chava, meaning, not chava chava, okay.

00:25:26.360 --> 00:25:34.360
I mean, Brielle, what's happening? What happened?

00:25:34.360 --> 00:25:38.360
Let her sit here for a while. I think she'll be okay.

00:25:48.360 --> 00:25:51.360
The pains of fatherhood, Derek.

00:25:51.360 --> 00:25:54.360
Don't worry, Prashanth, it'll come your way.

00:26:01.360 --> 00:26:04.360
He rebuked it in the name of Jesus.

00:26:09.360 --> 00:26:13.360
Learn a trick or two from him, Derek.

00:26:13.360 --> 00:26:19.360
Yeah, Dilna's laughing his head off saying...

00:26:19.360 --> 00:26:25.360
Sorry, the fourth method is...

00:26:25.360 --> 00:26:29.360
I just, that ABBA song is stuck in my head.

00:26:29.360 --> 00:26:35.360
The fourth method is Romans 4.17.

00:26:35.360 --> 00:26:38.360
But he was not discouraged, but he began to praise.

00:26:38.360 --> 00:26:40.360
And we'll talk about it a little later.

00:26:44.360 --> 00:26:47.360
I remember saying this a year ago.

00:26:47.360 --> 00:26:50.360
D.L. Moody said it first.

00:26:50.360 --> 00:26:57.360
And it says, the world has yet to see

00:26:57.360 --> 00:27:03.360
what God can do

00:27:03.360 --> 00:27:09.360
with a man fully consecrated to him.

00:27:13.360 --> 00:27:19.360
The world has yet to see what God can do

00:27:19.360 --> 00:27:22.360
with a man consecrated to him.

00:27:22.360 --> 00:27:28.360
Or what if it is a church consecrated to him.

00:27:28.360 --> 00:27:30.360
And so one of the things I want to do,

00:27:30.360 --> 00:27:33.360
maybe in a week or ten days from now,

00:27:33.360 --> 00:27:39.360
is we will get together corporately.

00:27:39.360 --> 00:27:44.360
We will get together corporately

00:27:44.360 --> 00:27:47.360
in a week or ten days from now.

00:27:47.360 --> 00:27:55.360
We'll consecrate ourselves to prayer.

00:27:55.360 --> 00:27:59.360
And since we started with the Hebrew word ruwah,

00:27:59.360 --> 00:28:01.360
which meant the spirit,

00:28:01.360 --> 00:28:05.360
we'll keep it Hebrew and we'll call it tefillah,

00:28:05.360 --> 00:28:07.360
which means prayer.

00:28:07.360 --> 00:28:12.360
And so the idea is, what would it look like

00:28:12.360 --> 00:28:15.360
if we got together on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,

00:28:15.360 --> 00:28:17.360
and Thursday, like we did,

00:28:17.360 --> 00:28:19.360
and we'll set the dates, we'll let you know.

00:28:19.360 --> 00:28:21.360
But the church gathers corporately and says,

00:28:21.360 --> 00:28:23.360
these are the things we pray for.

00:28:23.360 --> 00:28:26.360
And it's very specific, and it's not coming together

00:28:26.360 --> 00:28:28.360
and praying and doing the rounds.

00:28:28.360 --> 00:28:33.360
But very clearly, these are the things we pray for.

00:28:33.360 --> 00:28:35.360
And what does that look like then?

00:28:35.360 --> 00:28:37.360
What does that look like then?

00:28:37.360 --> 00:28:42.360
So that we learn how to pray and we also pray.

00:28:42.360 --> 00:28:44.360
Prayer meetings are never supposed to be,

00:28:44.360 --> 00:28:45.360
oh, let's all pray.

00:28:45.360 --> 00:28:48.360
It's supposed to be places where we learn how to pray

00:28:48.360 --> 00:28:51.360
and then we pray according to how we have learned.

00:28:51.360 --> 00:28:53.360
It's very, if you go with what we have said,

00:28:53.360 --> 00:28:57.360
that we need to know what God wants before we can pray.

00:28:57.360 --> 00:29:00.360
We pray with the answer, not for the answer.

00:29:00.360 --> 00:29:03.360
Then it's a very different type of praying.

00:29:06.360 --> 00:29:08.360
When I was preparing these notes,

00:29:08.360 --> 00:29:11.360
I was getting a little excited, partly because I think

00:29:11.360 --> 00:29:14.360
the time is perfect.

00:29:14.360 --> 00:29:16.360
I mean, there are different people in this church

00:29:16.360 --> 00:29:22.360
who have desired this, but this is the right time for it.

00:29:22.360 --> 00:29:26.360
And you'll thoroughly enjoy it, just like you enjoyed Ruwa.

00:29:26.360 --> 00:29:29.360
And Derek and Dawn, just try to stay in town, yeah?

00:29:35.360 --> 00:29:44.360
Consecrate ourselves for tomorrow.

00:29:44.360 --> 00:29:46.360
That's in Joshua 3.5.

00:29:46.360 --> 00:29:50.360
Consecrate ourselves for tomorrow.

00:29:50.360 --> 00:29:52.360
Tomorrow what?

00:29:52.360 --> 00:30:00.360
Joshua 3.5 says, tomorrow God will do signs or wonders.

00:30:00.360 --> 00:30:02.360
What's our tomorrow?

00:30:02.360 --> 00:30:09.360
Our tomorrow goes back to Hebrews 2.0

00:30:09.360 --> 00:30:11.360
and the statement that we've been over many times,

00:30:11.360 --> 00:30:15.360
and I'll go over again because it's important.

00:30:15.360 --> 00:30:25.360
I am releasing a purifying fire from heaven

00:30:25.360 --> 00:30:32.360
that burns up historical and religious junk.

00:30:32.360 --> 00:30:43.360
And I will enter as the divine warrior.

00:30:43.360 --> 00:30:49.360
Why am I writing this?

00:30:49.360 --> 00:30:52.360
Because you need to understand what our tomorrow holds

00:30:52.360 --> 00:30:55.360
and what we are consecrating ourselves in prayer for.

00:30:55.360 --> 00:30:57.360
I will enter as the divine warrior,

00:30:57.360 --> 00:31:08.360
as the divine warrior, setting young men and women free

00:31:08.360 --> 00:31:16.360
from nations into the kingdom,

00:31:16.360 --> 00:31:21.360
from nations into the kingdom, calling sons and daughters,

00:31:21.360 --> 00:31:31.360
into a circle of abundance, dancing,

00:31:31.360 --> 00:31:40.360
and joy before the lion and the lamb.

00:31:40.360 --> 00:31:57.360
A torch bearing generation that will go forth

00:31:57.360 --> 00:32:06.360
and not return empty.

00:32:06.360 --> 00:32:09.360
That's our tomorrow.

00:32:09.360 --> 00:32:13.360
That is what most of the prayer will be shaped around.

00:32:13.360 --> 00:32:16.360
What's the anvil that we'll be shaping things around?

00:32:16.360 --> 00:32:17.360
This.

00:32:17.360 --> 00:32:20.360
Everything that we do will have something to do with this.

00:32:20.360 --> 00:32:24.360
That's a huge task, a huge mandate.

00:32:24.360 --> 00:32:26.360
You know, when David talks about,

00:32:26.360 --> 00:32:30.360
I will follow your precepts, I will run in your precepts,

00:32:30.360 --> 00:32:35.360
or when God says, I rejoice over you because you run in my precepts,

00:32:35.360 --> 00:32:38.360
the word precept is actually appointed mandate,

00:32:38.360 --> 00:32:39.360
appointed mandate.

00:32:39.360 --> 00:32:42.360
When your boss, when your parent, when your employer,

00:32:42.360 --> 00:32:45.360
when your king, when your leader,

00:32:45.360 --> 00:32:49.360
when the president gives you an appointed mandate,

00:32:49.360 --> 00:32:52.360
as in this is the mandate for such and such a time,

00:32:52.360 --> 00:32:56.360
when you run in it, they are pleased.

00:32:56.360 --> 00:33:00.360
And so this then is our precept or our appointed mandate

00:33:00.360 --> 00:33:03.360
that makes him happy.

00:33:03.360 --> 00:33:05.360
I'm sending a purifying fire from heaven

00:33:05.360 --> 00:33:08.360
that burns up historical and religious junk.

00:33:08.360 --> 00:33:10.360
I will enter as the divine warrior,

00:33:10.360 --> 00:33:13.360
setting young men and women free from nations into the kingdom,

00:33:13.360 --> 00:33:16.360
calling them sons and daughters and calling them into a circle

00:33:16.360 --> 00:33:19.360
of abundance, dancing, and joy before the lion and the lamb,

00:33:19.360 --> 00:33:25.360
a torch bearing generation that will go forth and not return empty.

00:33:25.360 --> 00:33:29.360
So when we have such a huge mandate,

00:33:29.360 --> 00:33:36.360
praying together is what will then triumph.

00:33:36.360 --> 00:33:40.360
You know, don't take this as an invitation.

00:33:40.360 --> 00:33:42.360
I'm not inviting you because I don't know

00:33:42.360 --> 00:33:44.360
whether that's what God wants or not.

00:33:44.360 --> 00:33:51.360
But this morning I was thinking that April 10th to 13th or 14th,

00:33:51.360 --> 00:33:55.360
if God allows, wouldn't it be phenomenal if we join about 2,000

00:33:55.360 --> 00:34:00.360
or 3,000 young people that are gathering close to the border of Bangladesh?

00:34:00.360 --> 00:34:05.360
What if all the young people that we knew were able to come there?

00:34:05.360 --> 00:34:08.360
For three, four days they gather there.

00:34:08.360 --> 00:34:12.360
You'll catch something because they have caught this to an extent

00:34:12.360 --> 00:34:18.360
where they do not stay home. They go.

00:34:18.360 --> 00:34:20.360
They go to different nations.

00:34:20.360 --> 00:34:23.360
They go to really difficult places where your preferences

00:34:23.360 --> 00:34:29.360
and beliefs are tested.

00:34:29.360 --> 00:34:32.360
You'll see if God allows us to make it an open invitation

00:34:32.360 --> 00:34:36.360
or to just leave it as is.

00:34:36.360 --> 00:34:44.360
But praying together allows us to triumph over powers of darkness.

00:34:44.360 --> 00:34:48.360
That's one of the things it does.

00:34:49.360 --> 00:34:59.360
It gives us spiritual strength to witness.

00:34:59.360 --> 00:35:07.360
And it transmits the power of the Spirit in us.

00:35:07.360 --> 00:35:10.360
These are three things that will happen when this church will pray together.

00:35:10.360 --> 00:35:13.360
One, triumph over the powers of darkness.

00:35:13.360 --> 00:35:15.360
Two, spiritual strength to witness.

00:35:15.360 --> 00:35:17.360
Can I have a little more volume, guys?

00:35:17.360 --> 00:35:19.360
Three, transmit the power of the Spirit.

00:35:19.360 --> 00:35:23.360
These are three things that will happen.

00:35:23.360 --> 00:35:28.360
When this happens, this precept or mandate will come to pass.

00:35:28.360 --> 00:35:41.360
Two, in Jerusalem as in Vancouver and in other places that we may go to.

00:35:41.360 --> 00:35:47.360
Guys, the eye or the hand can only do so much.

00:35:47.360 --> 00:35:50.360
So I'm not saying you guys are not doing enough.

00:35:50.360 --> 00:35:55.360
There are individuals here who have done phenomenal things on their own strength

00:35:55.360 --> 00:36:01.360
with their own resources, laying down their sacrifices and making great progress.

00:36:01.360 --> 00:36:04.360
But the eye or the hand can only do so much.

00:36:04.360 --> 00:36:16.360
As it says in Isaiah 65, verse 8, the wine is found in the cluster, not in the grape.

00:36:22.360 --> 00:36:27.360
The wine is found in the cluster, not in the grape.

00:36:27.360 --> 00:36:34.360
You can't squeeze enough liquid out of a grape to sell a bottle of wine.

00:36:34.360 --> 00:36:38.360
It's found in the cluster.

00:36:38.360 --> 00:36:43.360
Any questions?

00:36:43.360 --> 00:36:47.360
This is a problem that is old. It's not new.

00:36:47.360 --> 00:36:52.360
One of the things Satan loves doing is he finds out the strengths of a church

00:36:52.360 --> 00:36:56.360
so that he can find the one place that...

00:36:56.360 --> 00:36:59.360
He did this with Samson. Go find his strength.

00:36:59.360 --> 00:37:03.360
And then once we know his strength and where his strength comes from,

00:37:03.360 --> 00:37:06.360
we can subdue it by cutting it off.

00:37:06.360 --> 00:37:10.360
And so it's the same with most churches and with this church.

00:37:10.360 --> 00:37:14.360
One of the ways to subdue the strength of this church, not as individuals but as a group,

00:37:14.360 --> 00:37:19.360
is by cutting off the one thing that we now need to do.

00:37:19.360 --> 00:37:21.360
So Jacob, why didn't you do it before?

00:37:21.360 --> 00:37:26.360
It wasn't that we haven't done it before, but this seems to be a concerted direct attack

00:37:26.360 --> 00:37:29.360
that we are supposed to launch.

00:37:29.360 --> 00:37:39.360
We've had times of prayer in the past, but nothing like what I believe is coming.

00:37:39.360 --> 00:37:44.360
This is the same problem that befell the disciples when the boy with the demon came

00:37:44.360 --> 00:37:49.360
and Jesus said this kind only comes out by prayer.

00:37:49.360 --> 00:37:52.360
It's not nine.

00:37:52.360 --> 00:37:59.360
So, hey, the cool thing about stuff that we do when God asks us to do it

00:37:59.360 --> 00:38:03.360
is that he just takes over.

00:38:03.360 --> 00:38:09.360
We don't have to do much.

00:38:09.360 --> 00:38:14.360
We just have to show.

00:38:14.360 --> 00:38:16.360
So what will it look like?

00:38:16.360 --> 00:38:26.360
What will it look like as Yellet, as in Isaiah 54, Isaiah 50, verse 4, which says,

00:38:26.360 --> 00:38:30.360
He wakens my ear that I may have the tongue of the learned.

00:38:30.360 --> 00:38:34.360
He wakens my ear so that I may have the tongue of the learned.

00:38:34.360 --> 00:38:38.360
So when we do get together, it won't be haphazard random praying.

00:38:38.360 --> 00:38:46.360
It will be specific prayer that we launch into after we've heard.

00:38:46.360 --> 00:38:47.360
So that's one.

00:38:47.360 --> 00:38:52.360
Two, we pray onwards, as in onwards or outwards.

00:38:52.360 --> 00:38:58.360
If you read 2 Thessalonians 3, verse 1 and 2,

00:38:58.360 --> 00:39:01.360
Paul is saying to the Thessalonians, hey guys, can you pray

00:39:01.360 --> 00:39:06.360
so that the messengers are strengthened and rescued,

00:39:06.360 --> 00:39:13.360
the messengers are rescued, and the message speeds swiftly forward.

00:39:13.360 --> 00:39:20.360
That the message speeds swiftly forward and the messengers are rescued.

00:39:20.360 --> 00:39:24.360
And so this idea of onwards or outwards.

00:39:24.360 --> 00:39:26.360
There's nothing we need, guys.

00:39:26.360 --> 00:39:32.360
Acts 29, between God and you, everybody has what they need.

00:39:32.360 --> 00:39:34.360
Really, think of that for a second.

00:39:34.360 --> 00:39:39.360
Between God and you, I have everything I need.

00:39:44.360 --> 00:39:46.360
Does it make sense?

00:39:48.360 --> 00:39:49.360
No way.

00:39:49.360 --> 00:39:52.360
I mean, if I had a need, I would come to you.

00:39:52.360 --> 00:39:53.360
If I had a need, I would go to God.

00:39:53.360 --> 00:39:56.360
Between God and you, most things we need are met.

00:39:56.360 --> 00:39:58.360
Do I need prayer? I can come to someone.

00:39:58.360 --> 00:40:00.360
Do I need help? I can come to someone.

00:40:00.360 --> 00:40:02.360
Do I need advice? I can come to someone.

00:40:02.360 --> 00:40:04.360
Am I afraid I can come to someone?

00:40:06.360 --> 00:40:07.360
No?

00:40:08.360 --> 00:40:10.360
Hello, it is yes.

00:40:13.360 --> 00:40:14.360
It is.

00:40:14.360 --> 00:40:17.360
Did you feel very encouraged when you were standing here and speaking

00:40:17.360 --> 00:40:19.360
with a loud response?

00:40:24.360 --> 00:40:29.360
Next one, unceasing. Unceasing.

00:40:29.360 --> 00:40:36.360
When we say unceasing prayer, it's from Acts 12 to Acts 12, 1-5.

00:40:36.360 --> 00:40:42.360
And Isaiah 62, verse 6-8.

00:40:42.360 --> 00:40:48.360
So unceasing means prayer that arises from the church that just prevails.

00:40:48.360 --> 00:40:52.360
It gives God no rest. It gives God no rest.

00:40:52.360 --> 00:40:57.360
This is such a cool verse. Isaiah 62, verse 6-8.

00:40:57.360 --> 00:41:00.360
Isaiah 62, verse 6-8.

00:41:00.360 --> 00:41:05.360
This kind of praying, when we do it together, it's pretty amazing.

00:41:05.360 --> 00:41:06.360
Isaiah 62, 6-8.

00:41:06.360 --> 00:41:10.360
On your walls of Jerusalem, I have said, Watchmen,

00:41:10.360 --> 00:41:14.360
all the day and all the night they shall never be silent.

00:41:14.360 --> 00:41:19.360
You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest.

00:41:19.360 --> 00:41:20.360
Listen to the next line.

00:41:20.360 --> 00:41:26.360
And give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.

00:41:26.360 --> 00:41:29.360
The Lord has sworn by his right hand, by his mighty arm,

00:41:29.360 --> 00:41:33.360
I will not again give your grain to be food for your enemies,

00:41:33.360 --> 00:41:37.360
and foreigners shall not drink your wine for which you have laboured.

00:41:37.360 --> 00:41:39.360
Start with verse 8, the promise.

00:41:39.360 --> 00:41:40.360
And then what does God say?

00:41:40.360 --> 00:41:43.360
Hey, make sure Acts 29, when I've given you a promise,

00:41:43.360 --> 00:41:47.360
you make sure that you give me no rest till I establish it.

00:41:47.360 --> 00:41:54.360
He's blooming, inviting us to give him no rest till it's established.

00:41:54.360 --> 00:41:56.360
Talk about perseverance.

00:41:56.360 --> 00:42:00.360
Any questions?

00:42:00.360 --> 00:42:06.360
I am sure that when we meet together, there'll be a greater response than this.

00:42:06.360 --> 00:42:08.360
Right now it's just a...

00:42:08.360 --> 00:42:09.360
Yeah, go ahead.

00:42:09.360 --> 00:42:10.360
Yeah, go ahead.

00:42:10.360 --> 00:42:12.360
Do you distinguish between...

00:42:12.360 --> 00:42:15.360
You know in the Bible it says don't repeat prayer.

00:42:15.360 --> 00:42:16.360
Yeah.

00:42:16.360 --> 00:42:18.360
Where do you distinguish that from?

00:42:18.360 --> 00:42:21.360
Yeah.

00:42:21.360 --> 00:42:25.360
Repeated prayer has two ingredients in it that God does not like.

00:42:25.360 --> 00:42:27.360
One, a lack of trust.

00:42:27.360 --> 00:42:31.360
Two, impatience and craving.

00:42:31.360 --> 00:42:36.360
When repeated prayer doesn't have those two ingredients, it's godly.

00:42:36.360 --> 00:42:40.360
One is a lack of trust where...

00:42:40.360 --> 00:42:42.360
Because it's a lack of trust.

00:42:42.360 --> 00:42:44.360
That's Hebrew for lack of trust.

00:42:44.360 --> 00:42:51.360
And then the second part is craving.

00:42:51.360 --> 00:42:56.360
Where it says that Israel craved exceedingly in the desert.

00:42:56.360 --> 00:43:03.360
So God gave them what they desired, but it turned to sodast in their mouth.

00:43:03.360 --> 00:43:05.360
And so that's what happens.

00:43:05.360 --> 00:43:06.360
So they crave for meat.

00:43:06.360 --> 00:43:08.360
Give us meat, give us meat, give us meat.

00:43:08.360 --> 00:43:10.360
And then they started puking.

00:43:10.360 --> 00:43:14.360
So those are the two things.

00:43:14.360 --> 00:43:19.360
You remove those two things and repeated prayer becomes what Jesus spoke of when he said,

00:43:19.360 --> 00:43:23.360
remember that widow who just kept knocking at the judge's door,

00:43:23.360 --> 00:43:30.360
remember the friend who goes knocking on his friend's door for bread?

00:43:30.360 --> 00:43:34.360
Yielded, onward, unceasing, smiting.

00:43:34.360 --> 00:43:39.360
This will be new for many of us, but that's the only way to learn, right?

00:43:39.360 --> 00:43:47.360
Where we inflict loss on the enemy.

00:43:47.360 --> 00:43:53.360
One of the scriptures that we can just read for a second is Psalm 149,

00:43:53.360 --> 00:44:01.360
verse 6-9, Psalm 149, 6-9, Psalm 149, 6-9.

00:44:04.360 --> 00:44:13.360
May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,

00:44:13.360 --> 00:44:17.360
as in the word and praise, to inflict vengeance on the nations,

00:44:17.360 --> 00:44:20.360
punishment upon peoples, to bind their kings with fetters,

00:44:20.360 --> 00:44:25.360
their nobles with shackles of iron, to carry out the sentence written against them.

00:44:25.360 --> 00:44:27.360
This is the glory of all his saints.

00:44:27.360 --> 00:44:29.360
Praise the Lord.

00:44:29.360 --> 00:44:32.360
What does it mean to smite the enemy?

00:44:32.360 --> 00:44:37.360
Where it's intensive, unrelenting battle prayers that take territory.

00:44:37.360 --> 00:44:42.360
What does it mean to hold up a staff in your hands with two people supporting you if necessary,

00:44:42.360 --> 00:44:47.360
and the moment you hold your arms up, it inflicts loss upon the enemy.

00:44:47.360 --> 00:44:50.360
What does it look like? What is it in real life?

00:44:50.360 --> 00:44:55.360
Some of us have tasted it, some of us will be introduced to it.

00:44:55.360 --> 00:44:58.360
This is not... yeah.

00:45:01.360 --> 00:45:04.360
Next one, enlightened prayer.

00:45:04.360 --> 00:45:11.360
Enlightened prayer where it's Ephesians 1.17-18,

00:45:11.360 --> 00:45:13.360
and Paul is praying for the church and he says,

00:45:13.360 --> 00:45:17.360
Hey church, I pray God that God opens your eyes,

00:45:17.360 --> 00:45:21.360
and that wisdom hits you,

00:45:21.360 --> 00:45:24.360
and that your minds and hearts are enlightened,

00:45:24.360 --> 00:45:28.360
that God reveals to you the purpose of your calling Acts 29,

00:45:28.360 --> 00:45:31.360
the understanding of Hebrews, Hebrews 2.2.

00:45:31.360 --> 00:45:32.360
What does it look like?

00:45:32.360 --> 00:45:34.360
Let him show you how much he loves you.

00:45:34.360 --> 00:45:38.360
Let him show you the riches he has for you as you go about his business.

00:45:38.360 --> 00:45:39.360
Let him show you this.

00:45:39.360 --> 00:45:42.360
It's prayer that enlightens the heart.

00:45:42.360 --> 00:45:47.360
It's like, remember when you would have a math problem and you would never know how to solve it,

00:45:47.360 --> 00:45:50.360
then someone would show you why it is a problem and how it should be solved,

00:45:50.360 --> 00:45:52.360
and how it should be solved at Eureka!

00:45:52.360 --> 00:45:54.360
Chava Chava!

00:46:00.360 --> 00:46:03.360
I hope your folks are not listening to this teaching, Chava.

00:46:06.360 --> 00:46:09.360
And then the last one is fullness.

00:46:10.360 --> 00:46:11.360
Fullness.

00:46:11.360 --> 00:46:15.360
Fullness is when... in the Bible there's always this thing called in the fullness of time.

00:46:15.360 --> 00:46:22.360
So it's prayers from this Greek word called kairos,

00:46:22.360 --> 00:46:24.360
and it's a real Greek word, I'm not faking it.

00:46:24.360 --> 00:46:29.360
There's this word called kairos which means fullness of time, in the fullness of time,

00:46:29.360 --> 00:46:31.360
at the right moment.

00:46:31.360 --> 00:46:35.360
Prayers from kairos, as in from God's desire that,

00:46:35.360 --> 00:46:37.360
hey, now is the time when this has to happen.

00:46:37.360 --> 00:46:39.360
It breaks into history.

00:46:42.360 --> 00:46:44.360
It breaks into history.

00:46:44.360 --> 00:46:49.360
And it just grows rapidly.

00:46:54.360 --> 00:47:00.360
Like if you go to Hebrides 1.0, two ladies, Peggy, Peggy, Sue, and I forgot the other lady's name,

00:47:00.360 --> 00:47:03.360
80 year olds, praying, praying, praying, praying, years and years of praying,

00:47:03.360 --> 00:47:08.360
and then in the fullness of time, one day, out of the blue,

00:47:09.360 --> 00:47:13.360
God decides, alrighty, I'm showing up and I'm putting on the rits.

00:47:14.360 --> 00:47:17.360
And he turns up in this little village, there's a guy called Michael Campbell,

00:47:17.360 --> 00:47:21.360
who's doing a big conference, and he's sitting at the conference,

00:47:21.360 --> 00:47:25.360
and he knows in his heart, gotta leave this conference, you gotta go to Stornoway.

00:47:25.360 --> 00:47:30.360
He goes to Stornoway, lands there, and people are praying.

00:47:32.360 --> 00:47:35.360
And he goes into this room, and he also prays.

00:47:35.360 --> 00:47:37.360
Nothing's happening. People are just praying.

00:47:37.360 --> 00:47:40.360
Nothing is happening. And then one guy gets up.

00:47:40.360 --> 00:47:42.360
And he gets up, and he begins to pray.

00:47:42.360 --> 00:47:46.360
And he says, you're a covenant-keeping God. You said.

00:47:46.360 --> 00:47:49.360
And he begins to pray. And he says, I don't know about the rest of the people here,

00:47:49.360 --> 00:47:52.360
but you're a covenant-keeping God. You want clean hands, pure hearts.

00:47:52.360 --> 00:47:55.360
Well, as far as I know, my hands are clean and my hearts are pure.

00:47:55.360 --> 00:47:59.360
So God, are you gonna keep your covenant, or aren't you?

00:47:59.360 --> 00:48:01.360
And boom!

00:48:03.360 --> 00:48:07.360
It's crazy, man. I assure you, I will see those days.

00:48:08.360 --> 00:48:11.360
It is not a statement of faith. It's a statement of fact.

00:48:12.360 --> 00:48:15.360
I don't need faith for this. I know it's a fact.

00:48:15.360 --> 00:48:17.360
Because I know the nature of God in some areas.

00:48:17.360 --> 00:48:20.360
And what this church is meant to do, I know.

00:48:28.360 --> 00:48:33.360
So that's not this week, but likely next week we'll start this process.

00:48:33.360 --> 00:48:37.360
And so the best I could come up with was Yusuf.

00:48:37.360 --> 00:48:41.360
But it may not be spelled right.

00:48:44.360 --> 00:48:49.360
But I tried playing with it different ways, and was coming up with words that didn't mean anything.

00:48:49.360 --> 00:48:53.360
This was the closest to a name, so if you want to hang on to Yusuf, you can.

00:48:53.360 --> 00:48:58.360
But then we had Dwaag, and some other words too, so let's not confuse the whole thing.

00:48:59.360 --> 00:49:02.360
So what do you do between now and when this starts?

00:49:02.360 --> 00:49:04.360
Practice at home.

00:49:05.360 --> 00:49:08.360
Practice at home.

00:49:10.360 --> 00:49:12.360
Doing what?

00:49:12.360 --> 00:49:14.360
Devoting.

00:49:15.360 --> 00:49:17.360
Or preserving.

00:49:20.360 --> 00:49:22.360
Time.

00:49:22.360 --> 00:49:24.360
For prayer.

00:49:25.360 --> 00:49:27.360
How much? Be generous.

00:49:28.360 --> 00:49:30.360
Persist.

00:49:30.360 --> 00:49:32.360
And remain with it.

00:49:33.360 --> 00:49:35.360
Every day.

00:49:35.360 --> 00:49:37.360
See if you can do it.

00:49:37.360 --> 00:49:41.360
You know the strange thing is other faiths do this, eh?

00:49:42.360 --> 00:49:45.360
Right now there's this festival in India called Shivratri.

00:49:46.360 --> 00:49:49.360
People persist. People are praying.

00:49:50.360 --> 00:49:54.360
They got no problems dedicating time. It doesn't matter how busy they are.

00:49:55.360 --> 00:49:58.360
Prime ministers, presidents, they all spend time doing this.

00:49:58.360 --> 00:50:03.360
Other faiths do. Our faith has gotten so relational that we don't think we need time.

00:50:03.360 --> 00:50:06.360
Try that with your wife. It doesn't work well.

00:50:08.360 --> 00:50:11.360
Other faiths do. So practice at home, eh?

00:50:12.360 --> 00:50:14.360
Devoting and preserving time.

00:50:15.360 --> 00:50:22.360
Find a time that is more than you can handle and less than what is unreasonable.

00:50:23.360 --> 00:50:26.360
More than you can handle, less than what is unreasonable.

00:50:27.360 --> 00:50:29.360
Just for this week, just practice it.

00:50:32.360 --> 00:50:34.360
How will it help you?

00:50:35.360 --> 00:50:43.360
Prayer forges relationship with God.

00:50:44.360 --> 00:50:51.360
Relationship fuels faith.

00:50:51.360 --> 00:51:01.360
Faith finishes his will on earth.

00:51:02.360 --> 00:51:03.360
It's very simple.

00:51:04.360 --> 00:51:07.360
Prayer forges relationship.

00:51:08.360 --> 00:51:14.360
Where just finding this time and spending it with him, where it becomes very easy to talk to him.

00:51:15.360 --> 00:51:16.360
You're so confident of him.

00:51:17.360 --> 00:51:19.360
You're so friends with him.

00:51:19.360 --> 00:51:22.360
You're so reverent of him.

00:51:23.360 --> 00:51:28.360
Yet there are those moments where you can go jumping into his lap and then bowing at his knee.

00:51:29.360 --> 00:51:31.360
And so faith forges relationship.

00:51:32.360 --> 00:51:33.360
Relationship fuels faith.

00:51:34.360 --> 00:51:35.360
Faith finishes the will of God.

00:51:36.360 --> 00:51:38.360
It's very simple, but it's constant.

00:51:39.360 --> 00:51:40.360
It's constant.

00:51:42.360 --> 00:51:45.360
Faith forges or fragrances relationship.

00:51:46.360 --> 00:51:47.360
Sorry, prayer fragrances.

00:51:47.360 --> 00:51:55.360
Prayer, if you were to look at it as conversations that are relational and intentional, then prayer forges relationships.

00:51:56.360 --> 00:51:57.360
Relationship fuels faith.

00:51:58.360 --> 00:52:00.360
Faith finishes his will on earth.

00:52:01.360 --> 00:52:08.360
The other thing I want us to do this week is can you have two rooms in your heart?

00:52:09.360 --> 00:52:16.360
And if you want to make it practical and have more than one room in your house,

00:52:17.360 --> 00:52:25.360
then you have two rooms in your heart and in your physical home where first you begin.

00:52:26.360 --> 00:52:41.360
The first room you enter, you join creation, the mountains, the seas, the trees, and you just engage in a time of worship.

00:52:42.360 --> 00:52:44.360
Do that first.

00:52:45.360 --> 00:52:50.360
And then after that, go into the other room, be it your heart or be it an actual room.

00:52:51.360 --> 00:52:54.360
After that, go into the other room and there begin to pray.

00:52:55.360 --> 00:53:01.360
You know, if you practice this and you get it into your heart, you'll find it very helpful

00:53:02.360 --> 00:53:07.360
because usually when circumstances are threatening, when you have challenges in our life, when you have urgent needs in our life,

00:53:08.360 --> 00:53:09.360
we go to prayer too soon.

00:53:09.360 --> 00:53:10.360
Do not go to prayer that quickly.

00:53:11.360 --> 00:53:20.360
If there's an urgent, difficult circumstance and challenge in your life, go to this other room first where you behold majesty.

00:53:21.360 --> 00:53:24.360
As you behold majesty, you become what you need to be for the situation.

00:53:25.360 --> 00:53:29.360
As you behold majesty, you begin to see who he wants to be in the situation.

00:53:30.360 --> 00:53:37.360
Too often in a crisis, in circumstances that are difficult, in need, we go to prayer too soon.

00:53:37.360 --> 00:53:44.360
And then there's this desperate help me prayer which has very little faith, very little trust, is hoping.

00:53:45.360 --> 00:53:46.360
It's like throwing coins into a well.

00:53:47.360 --> 00:53:50.360
It's wishful prayer, not hope-filled prayer.

00:53:51.360 --> 00:53:54.360
Hope-filled prayer comes because I have just seen him.

00:54:07.360 --> 00:54:08.360
I mean,

00:54:30.360 --> 00:54:34.360
Sing that 18 times and then go to your next room.

00:54:34.360 --> 00:54:40.360
You will finish in prayer in 1.8 minutes.

00:54:41.360 --> 00:54:42.360
What would have taken you? 180 minutes.

00:54:43.360 --> 00:54:45.360
Why? Because you have just found him.

00:54:46.360 --> 00:54:47.360
You have just recognized who he is.

00:54:48.360 --> 00:54:51.360
You recognize who he is going to be in the situation.

00:54:52.360 --> 00:54:54.360
You recognize how he thinks of you in the situation.

00:54:55.360 --> 00:55:00.360
When you move from this room to that room, you are now spending less time in prayer and more time beholding him.

00:55:00.360 --> 00:55:05.360
Whatever you behold that you become, either for your ruin or for your restoration.

00:55:10.360 --> 00:55:11.360
Any questions?

00:55:13.360 --> 00:55:22.360
They all did this in Joshua 5.13, Matthew 17.1, Acts 18.9, Acts 27.23.

00:55:22.360 --> 00:55:30.360
When you realize the majesty of God, then prayer becomes easy.

00:55:31.360 --> 00:55:33.360
Why do we worship before we do things?

00:55:34.360 --> 00:55:36.360
Same reason.

00:55:37.360 --> 00:55:38.360
Realize the majesty of God.

00:55:39.360 --> 00:55:41.360
We sang, I mean we have never done this before.

00:55:42.360 --> 00:55:44.360
People taking flags. Why? Because the king was here.

00:55:45.360 --> 00:55:46.360
The bridegroom was here. The bride is responding.

00:55:47.360 --> 00:55:50.360
The king was here and the people are responding and they are waving flags.

00:55:50.360 --> 00:55:55.360
And yet you knew as you did that, that something was transpiring and majesty was here.

00:55:56.360 --> 00:55:59.360
Some of us shouted, some of us wept, some of us waved flags.

00:56:00.360 --> 00:56:01.360
But you knew.

00:56:02.360 --> 00:56:08.360
At that moment you can face things that you would not be able to face when you walked in cold.

00:56:09.360 --> 00:56:12.360
What if this becomes a practice every day?

00:56:13.360 --> 00:56:15.360
I'm done. Any questions?

00:56:20.360 --> 00:56:29.360
Cool. I'm going to ask Don and Dilna and Evan and Nii to come up and close us in prayer.

00:56:30.360 --> 00:56:31.360
What? All guys? Yep.

00:56:41.360 --> 00:56:44.360
So what are they praying? They're praying that, oh God, the time is now.

00:56:45.360 --> 00:56:47.360
Oh God, we are ready. Oh God, we consecrate ourselves.

00:56:47.360 --> 00:56:56.360
To consecrate is to set yourself apart as sacred and devote yourself to someone who is in great respect.

00:56:57.360 --> 00:57:01.360
So let these men pray and then we'll stop. Yeah?

00:57:18.360 --> 00:57:23.360
We just want to align our hearts with what you've called us to do.

00:57:24.360 --> 00:57:34.360
Thank you so much that you're drawing us into, for many of us it's new, it's unseen, it's exciting.

00:57:35.360 --> 00:57:39.360
It's something that we have desired for a long time.

00:57:40.360 --> 00:57:43.360
It's deep in our spirits and we want it to manifest.

00:57:43.360 --> 00:57:47.360
And you see it. You're calling us out into it.

00:57:48.360 --> 00:57:50.360
You're readying us for it.

00:57:51.360 --> 00:57:56.360
Many of us, individually in our quiet times with you, you're already readying us for it.

00:57:57.360 --> 00:58:05.360
And you're calling us to go deeper, to do it as a body, to step out into something new, something fresh.

00:58:06.360 --> 00:58:15.360
For many of us, it will spark something, it will start something that we've been wanting to see.

00:58:16.360 --> 00:58:21.360
We've been desiring to come out in our lives, but we don't know how. We don't know how to do it.

00:58:22.360 --> 00:58:24.360
So thank you for this time.

00:58:28.360 --> 00:58:30.360
Father, we thank you for this opportunity.

00:58:30.360 --> 00:58:33.360
I remember once Jacob said, you're setting us up.

00:58:34.360 --> 00:58:39.360
You're setting us up, Father, to witness what you're planning to do in this place.

00:58:40.360 --> 00:58:46.360
So Father, we lay our hearts down and we say, we surrender completely, Father.

00:58:47.360 --> 00:58:49.360
Give us everything we need.

00:58:50.360 --> 00:58:56.360
Father, we are so helpless in this, but at the same time we don't need faith to see what you're planning to do.

00:58:56.360 --> 00:58:59.360
We know it is happening. We know it is coming.

00:59:00.360 --> 00:59:03.360
It is ours to experience. It is ours to lead.

00:59:04.360 --> 00:59:13.360
So Father, we, with a heart of when, Father, when, when, Father, when can we step right into it?

00:59:14.360 --> 00:59:18.360
When, Father, when are you sending your chariots of heaven down to earth?

00:59:19.360 --> 00:59:21.360
When, Father, are you setting the hearts in fire?

00:59:22.360 --> 00:59:28.360
When are you, Father, breaking chains and leading these young men and women into this church, Father?

00:59:29.360 --> 00:59:31.360
When, Father, so that we can just walk right into it, Father?

00:59:32.360 --> 00:59:41.360
Till that day, Father, we want to hold our hands up in the high and just praise you with expectation that you are doing something and we will witness it.

00:59:42.360 --> 00:59:51.360
So we bless you, Father, and help us, Father, to have our hearts strong in you.

00:59:52.360 --> 01:00:02.360
Strong in you, Father. May it not waver. May it not doubt for a second, Father. May it not doubt like Peter.

01:00:03.360 --> 01:00:08.360
Father, we are on the water. Now there is no doubting.

01:00:11.360 --> 01:00:13.360
In your precious name, Jesus. Amen.

01:00:13.360 --> 01:00:39.360
Abba Father, thank you. Thank you for this, Lord. Thank you that you want, you are calling us deeper, Lord.

01:00:39.360 --> 01:00:48.360
As deep calls to deep, Lord. Lord, as reminds me of that song, Oceans, Lord.

01:00:49.360 --> 01:00:58.360
You call me out upon the waters, the great unknown, Lord. But you are here with us, Lord. You are here.

01:00:58.360 --> 01:01:11.360
So we just put our trust in you, Lord. Lord, we just love that song, Waymaker, Lord.

01:01:11.360 --> 01:01:20.360
Lord, we just say who you are this week. Say who you are, your nature, Lord.

01:01:21.360 --> 01:01:35.360
You are Abba Father. You are our friend. You are our healer. You are the promise keeper.

01:01:35.360 --> 01:01:47.360
You are the covenant keeper. And we bow down to you because you are majesty, Father. You are majesty, Father.

01:01:48.360 --> 01:01:55.360
So we declare this, Lord, this week, Lord. Let us create space for you, Lord.

01:01:55.360 --> 01:02:06.360
Let us create space for you, Lord. Let us create the space for you to just, for us to acknowledge who you are, Father.

01:02:07.360 --> 01:02:19.360
And then call upon your name and see you clearly, Lord. We ask that we see you clearly. We ask for more, Lord.

01:02:19.360 --> 01:02:29.360
We want more. We want more. We want more. And that is our prayer. We say, Abba, we want more.

01:02:34.360 --> 01:02:42.360
So thank you, Abba, for this and take us deeper. In Jesus' name. Amen.

01:02:42.360 --> 01:02:53.360
In the name of Jesus. Father, we thank you for what you are doing in our life in this season, O God.

01:02:54.360 --> 01:02:59.360
We thank you, Father, because we know that you are the potter and we are the clay.

01:03:00.360 --> 01:03:07.360
Lord, we are saying that I should begin to break us and mold us again this season for what you are about to do.

01:03:07.360 --> 01:03:17.360
Lord, we relieve ourselves to you and we offer ourselves to you to make us into what you want us to be for the season.

01:03:18.360 --> 01:03:30.360
We are your workmanship. Lord, we say that this season, every part that needs to be broken, O God, we are saying that we are open to being broken and being molded back together again.

01:03:30.360 --> 01:03:40.360
Father, we thank you. We thank you because we know that in this season, your word says that they will hold forth to the scad of he that is a Jew and say, take us up to the mountains of your God.

01:03:41.360 --> 01:03:48.360
That word is being fulfilled in our lives in the name of Jesus. Your word says that when they saw them, they knew they had been with Jesus.

01:03:49.360 --> 01:03:54.360
Father, we know that that testimony will go with us even after this season in the name of Jesus.

01:03:54.360 --> 01:04:04.360
Lord, every feeble knee amongst us shall be strengthened in the name of Jesus. There shall be no one feeble amongst us in the name of Jesus.

01:04:05.360 --> 01:04:13.360
Father, we thank you. We thank you because we know you are doing exceedingly abundantly above all that we can never ask or think.

01:04:14.360 --> 01:04:19.360
Lord, we thank you. We thank you. Your word says as you are so we are.

01:04:19.360 --> 01:04:22.360
Father, we thank you. Your word says as you are so we are.

01:04:23.360 --> 01:04:30.360
Men will see us and see solutions in the name of Jesus. After this season will become problem solvers.

01:04:31.360 --> 01:04:35.360
In the name of Jesus, men will see us and have hope in the name of Jesus.

01:04:36.360 --> 01:04:42.360
Father, we thank you. Lord, we are open. We are asking that you break and you mold us into whatever form you want.

01:04:42.360 --> 01:04:49.360
In the name of Jesus Christ, Father, we give you praise. For in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
