00:06:26.120 --> 00:06:28.520 Whatever you impose on me, I will bear. 00:06:28.520 --> 00:06:29.920 And then he goes on to say, 00:06:29.920 --> 00:06:32.840 and the king of Assyria required that Hezekiah, 00:06:32.840 --> 00:06:35.880 the king of Judah, give him 300 talents of silver, 00:06:35.880 --> 00:06:37.280 which is like a whole lot of money, 00:06:37.280 --> 00:06:38.520 and 30 talents of gold, 00:06:38.540 --> 00:06:40.380 which is also a whole lot of money. 00:06:40.380 --> 00:06:41.740 And Hezekiah gave him, 00:06:41.740 --> 00:06:43.300 look where he got the silver from. 00:06:43.300 --> 00:06:45.980 Hezekiah gave him all the silver that was found 00:06:45.980 --> 00:06:47.980 in the temple or the house of the Lord, 00:06:47.980 --> 00:06:50.300 and all the treasuries of the king's house. 00:06:50.300 --> 00:06:52.840 At that time, Hezekiah stripped the gold 00:06:52.840 --> 00:06:54.940 from the doors of the temple of the Lord, 00:06:54.940 --> 00:06:57.660 from the doorposts that Hezekiah, king of Judah, 00:06:57.660 --> 00:07:00.820 had overlaid and gave it to the king of Assyria. 00:07:00.820 --> 00:07:04.180 And the king of Assyria sent Tartan, 00:07:04.180 --> 00:07:06.620 another guy called Rabsharis and Rabshakeh, 00:07:06.640 --> 00:07:09.680 with a great army to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem, 00:07:09.680 --> 00:07:11.520 and they went up and came to Jerusalem. 00:07:11.520 --> 00:07:14.080 So here is a guy who facing circumstances, 00:07:14.080 --> 00:07:16.040 and there's nobody in this church at present 00:07:16.040 --> 00:07:18.920 who is not facing some circumstance of some sort. 00:07:18.920 --> 00:07:22.240 And our usual tendency is to be so overwhelmed 00:07:22.240 --> 00:07:23.600 that instead of running to God, 00:07:23.600 --> 00:07:27.180 we wanna make things okay by pacifying whatever happens. 00:07:27.180 --> 00:07:30.080 It could be sickness, it could be relatives, 00:07:30.080 --> 00:07:33.640 it could be a lack of security. 00:07:33.640 --> 00:07:35.160 I don't know what your situation is, 00:07:35.160 --> 00:07:37.980 but there's nobody here who isn't facing a situation. 00:07:39.500 --> 00:07:41.980 And some of us have already compromised. 00:07:42.980 --> 00:07:45.900 As in, because of what's being imposed on us, 00:07:45.900 --> 00:07:47.780 we said, okay, take what you want, 00:07:47.780 --> 00:07:50.920 I'll resign and accept your condition. 00:07:50.920 --> 00:07:53.460 This is the bane of Christianity, eh? 00:09:36.140 --> 00:09:38.580 In Isaiah 22, verse 20, it says, 00:09:38.580 --> 00:09:43.340 Eliakim had the keys of the entire kingdom in his hand, 00:09:43.340 --> 00:09:46.380 so much so that God prophesies over Eliakim, 00:09:46.380 --> 00:09:48.120 making him a type of Christ, and he says, 00:09:48.120 --> 00:09:50.180 what Eliakim shuts, no one can open, 00:09:50.180 --> 00:09:52.260 and what Eliakim opens, no one can. 00:09:53.180 --> 00:09:54.260 Shut, he was actually talking about Jesus, 00:09:54.260 --> 00:09:58.580 but he uses Eliakim as an example in Isaiah 22, 20. 00:09:58.580 --> 00:10:02.860 So, these guys go meet with the representatives 00:10:02.860 --> 00:10:04.400 of the enemy, and let's see what happens. 00:10:04.400 --> 00:10:07.260 The first deception, the first deception, 00:10:07.260 --> 00:10:09.260 basically look at the deceptions that are happening, 00:10:09.260 --> 00:10:10.980 and guard against them in your life. 00:10:10.980 --> 00:10:15.980 The first deception is this, in verse four, verse five, 00:10:16.580 --> 00:10:21.180 Isaiah 36, verse five, I'm reading from verse four. 00:10:21.180 --> 00:10:23.140 And the Rabshakesh said to them, 00:10:23.140 --> 00:10:27.060 say to Hezekiah, thus says the great king of Assyria, 00:10:28.820 --> 00:10:31.700 on what do you rest this trust of yours? 00:10:31.700 --> 00:10:35.580 Do you think that mere words are strategy 00:10:35.580 --> 00:10:36.820 and power for war? 00:10:36.820 --> 00:10:39.900 So, the first thing he attacks, the first deception, 00:10:39.900 --> 00:10:44.900 is do you think your words will help? 00:10:45.260 --> 00:10:50.260 Do you think your words will help you? 00:10:51.220 --> 00:10:52.060 Win. 00:10:55.340 --> 00:10:58.260 The answer is yes, but the first thing the enemy 00:10:58.260 --> 00:11:01.580 tries to do with our lives is he'll try to have you 00:11:01.580 --> 00:11:04.340 speak words that do not agree with God, 00:11:04.340 --> 00:11:06.340 but agree with the enemy's intentions. 00:11:07.620 --> 00:11:09.860 It's a deliberate deception, eh? 00:11:09.860 --> 00:11:11.420 The first thing he's doing is, 00:11:11.420 --> 00:11:14.200 do you think your words carry any weight? 00:11:14.200 --> 00:11:17.740 Do you think your words are strategy enough to defeat us? 00:11:17.740 --> 00:11:20.320 Do you think you can make war with words? 00:11:20.320 --> 00:11:22.800 But here is the truth, guys, and may you never, 00:11:22.800 --> 00:11:26.720 and may I never forget this, Jesus undid the devil 00:11:26.720 --> 00:11:28.200 only with words. 00:11:29.720 --> 00:11:33.800 In all three temptations, not in three, 00:11:33.800 --> 00:11:37.560 in two of the three temptations, Jesus used words. 00:11:37.560 --> 00:11:42.560 We don't realize the weight and the importance of words 00:11:42.760 --> 00:11:46.840 in strategic dismantling of the enemy. 00:11:50.640 --> 00:11:53.600 Words are used by Satan to intimidate you. 00:11:54.880 --> 00:11:58.200 Our words are used by Christians to fight back, 00:11:58.200 --> 00:11:59.800 but we don't, eh?
