Everything in the Kingdom of God has order to it. 00:00:11.300 --> 00:00:14.600 Now, our idea of order is very different from 00:00:14.600 --> 00:00:18.300 the order that the Bible talks about. But 00:00:18.300 --> 00:00:25.300 you know, one of the... If you go to Colossians 1.16 to 19, Colossians 1.16 to 19, 00:00:26.100 --> 00:00:35.100 for instance, you'll see that... If you read the message, you'll see it even more clearly 00:00:35.100 --> 00:00:38.100 spelled out. But Colossians 1.16 to 19 says, 00:00:38.100 --> 00:00:45.100 everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. 00:00:45.100 --> 00:00:50.100 Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. 00:00:50.100 --> 00:00:57.100 Colossians 1.16 to 19. 00:00:57.100 --> 00:01:01.700 Depending on the version you read, I'm just reading from the message. 00:01:01.700 --> 00:01:04.900 It says, everything got started in him and finds its 00:01:04.900 --> 00:01:08.700 purpose in him. And then it goes on to say, so spacious is he, 00:01:08.700 --> 00:01:12.400 so roomy, that everything of God finds its 00:01:12.400 --> 00:01:19.400 proper place in him without crowding. That's what Colossians 1.16 to 19 says in 00:01:20.000 --> 00:01:24.000 the message. Let me read that again. 00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:27.500 Everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. 00:01:27.500 --> 00:01:31.100 So spacious is he, so roomy is he, that everything of 00:01:31.100 --> 00:01:35.900 God finds its proper place in him without crowding. 00:01:35.900 --> 00:01:42.900 If you look at Psalm 8 verses 5 and 6, Psalm 8 verses 5 and 6, 00:01:42.900 --> 00:01:49.900 you again see that there's order in the way he creates things. 00:01:49.900 --> 00:01:54.900 Psalm 8 verses 5 and 6. It says, you made him a little lower than heavenly 00:01:54.900 --> 00:01:59.900 beings and crowned him with glory and honor. He's talking about 00:01:59.900 --> 00:02:03.900 humans being a little lower than heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and 00:02:03.900 --> 00:02:08.900 honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands and put everything under his feet. 00:02:08.900 --> 00:02:12.900 So again you see that there's order. The message puts it this way. 00:02:12.900 --> 00:02:17.400 You put us in charge of your handcrafted world and repeated to us 00:02:17.400 --> 00:02:23.900 your Genesis charge. I love that. You put us in charge of your handcrafted 00:02:23.900 --> 00:02:30.900 world and you repeated to us your Genesis charge. And the Genesis charge was, 00:02:30.900 --> 00:02:35.900 I have given you dominion over everything. 00:02:35.900 --> 00:02:40.900 Everything. Go to 1 Corinthians 11.3. 00:02:40.900 --> 00:02:45.900 1 Corinthians 11.3. 00:02:45.900 --> 00:02:50.900 1 Corinthians 11.3. 00:02:50.900 --> 00:02:55.900 Now I want you to realize 00:02:55.900 --> 00:03:01.900 that the head of every man is Christ 00:03:01.900 --> 00:03:06.900 and the head of the woman is man and the head of Christ is God. 00:03:06.900 --> 00:03:11.900 I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ and the head of the woman is man 00:03:11.900 --> 00:03:16.900 and the head of Christ is God. Again there is order. 00:03:16.900 --> 00:03:21.900 1 Corinthians 12.28. Notice in that order, the head of Christ is God. 00:03:21.900 --> 00:03:26.900 The head of woman is man and the head of every man is Christ. So even Christ is included in that order of things. 00:03:26.900 --> 00:03:31.900 Go to 1 Corinthians 12.28. 00:03:31.900 --> 00:03:36.900 Starting at verse 27. 00:03:36.900 --> 00:03:41.900 Now you are the body of Christ and each one of you is a part of it. 00:03:41.900 --> 00:03:46.900 And in the church, God has appointed first of all apostles, 00:03:46.900 --> 00:03:51.900 second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, 00:03:51.900 --> 00:03:56.900 also those having gifts of healing and so on. There is order. 00:03:56.900 --> 00:04:01.900 These are just some scriptures I wanted to point out where you will see that in everything God does there is order. 00:04:01.900 --> 00:04:06.900 And so one way of defining order is order 00:04:06.900 --> 00:04:11.900 is equal to origin, and I will explain it, 00:04:11.900 --> 00:04:16.900 plus purpose, plus 00:04:16.900 --> 00:04:21.900 proper place, 00:04:21.900 --> 00:04:26.900 plus function. 00:04:26.900 --> 00:04:31.900 This is 00:04:31.900 --> 00:04:36.900 a more accurate definition of what order is. Order, if you had to define it, 00:04:36.900 --> 00:04:41.900 order will, let's put it this way, these are contained in order. When God speaks of 00:04:41.900 --> 00:04:46.900 order, these are contained in it. In order, you will always find that it has to have an origin. 00:04:46.900 --> 00:04:51.900 In the sense, where did it start from? Who put it in place? 00:04:51.900 --> 00:04:56.900 Okay Jacob, let's assume for instance that I ask Heidi 00:04:56.900 --> 00:05:01.900 to be in charge when I am away. So you have to ask the question, where is the origin of this charge? 00:05:01.900 --> 00:05:06.900 So you will trace it back to Jacob. Where does Jacob's authority come from? 00:05:06.900 --> 00:05:11.900 You will have to keep tracing it back. All order has origin 00:05:11.900 --> 00:05:16.900 and all godly order has its origin in. God, 00:05:16.900 --> 00:05:21.900 you cannot have order without being able to trace its origin. Which is why 00:05:21.900 --> 00:05:26.900 tomorrow Heidi can't come here and stand and say, well I decided that I was feeling really good today and I thought I will take over. 00:05:26.900 --> 00:05:31.900 Can't do that 00:05:31.900 --> 00:05:36.900 because you've got to have origin. 00:05:36.900 --> 00:05:41.900 Secondly, Heidi would never do that. 00:05:41.900 --> 00:05:46.900 And if she did, Sue would start laughing like that too. 00:05:46.900 --> 00:05:51.900 So you begin with origin and then you go on to this thing called 00:05:51.900 --> 00:05:56.900 purpose. There is purpose in God ordering things. 00:05:56.900 --> 00:06:01.900 There is purpose in God ordering things. 00:06:01.900 --> 00:06:06.900 God didn't decide to just throw things around and see where they fall. 00:06:06.900 --> 00:06:11.900 He has purpose. You know, these drums are set this way. 00:06:11.900 --> 00:06:16.900 There is purpose in this order. These are not randomly put together like this. 00:06:16.900 --> 00:06:21.900 There is a reason why certain drums will be certain places and certain things will be at certain places. 00:06:21.900 --> 00:06:26.900 It has purpose. 00:06:26.900 --> 00:06:31.900 So there is no order without purpose. There is always purpose contained in order. 00:06:31.900 --> 00:06:36.900 Thirdly, everything has its proper place in order. 00:06:36.900 --> 00:06:41.900 Everything has its proper place in order. 00:06:41.900 --> 00:06:46.900 Everything has its proper place. 00:06:46.900 --> 00:06:51.900 Yeah, that's one of the reasons. Otherwise this would be a disco, not a church. 00:06:51.900 --> 00:06:56.900 If the lamps were on the floor. 00:06:56.900 --> 00:07:01.900 So everything has its proper place. 00:07:01.900 --> 00:07:06.900 And fourthly, when it comes to order, there's a function that 00:07:06.900 --> 00:07:11.900 is discharged in things being in a proper place and having a purpose and having an origin from God. 00:07:11.900 --> 00:07:16.900 There is a function that is administered or administrated or discharged. 00:07:16.900 --> 00:07:21.900 There's always a function. This is how order needs to be seen, guys. 00:07:21.900 --> 00:07:26.900 So on one hand, 00:07:26.900 --> 00:07:31.900 while we are all equal before God, 00:07:31.900 --> 00:07:36.900 can you imagine this? There is nobody in this church who is not absolutely equal. 00:07:36.900 --> 00:07:41.900 All of us are absolutely equal. 00:07:41.900 --> 00:07:46.900 No one in this church is even one iota more than the other. 00:07:46.900 --> 00:07:51.900 Common sonship, common priesthood, equal love, equal mercy, 00:07:51.900 --> 00:07:56.900 equal grace, equal ransoming, 00:07:56.900 --> 00:08:01.900 common. And yet, even though there is 00:08:01.900 --> 00:08:06.900 common priesthood, when it comes to function, equality is not a factor. 00:08:06.900 --> 00:08:11.900 When it comes to function that God has for us, equality is not a factor. 00:08:11.900 --> 00:08:16.900 For instance, 00:08:16.900 --> 00:08:21.900 God the Father, God the Son and God the Spirit are equal. And yet when it comes to function, 00:08:21.900 --> 00:08:26.900 there's a diversity of function. And in that function, 00:08:26.900 --> 00:08:31.900 you won't see equality. You will see the Spirit of God 00:08:31.900 --> 00:08:36.900 always assenting to 00:08:36.900 --> 00:08:41.900 who Christ is and Christ always saying that the Father is my head. 00:08:41.900 --> 00:08:46.900 So when it comes to order, remember in order, function is not equal. 00:08:46.900 --> 00:08:51.900 And if you're 00:08:51.900 --> 00:08:56.900 struggling and if I'm struggling with, I don't want to do this 00:08:56.900 --> 00:09:01.900 order thing, it doesn't fit well with me, then I want to say to you that at the end of the day, the one who 00:09:01.900 --> 00:09:06.900 first covers and covers all is the Father. 00:09:06.900 --> 00:09:11.900 Let me say that again. At the end of the day guys, if you trace it up to here, 00:09:11.900 --> 00:09:16.900 who is here? The Father. So whenever I'm 00:09:16.900 --> 00:09:21.900 submitting, what I need to understand is I'm ultimately submitting not necessarily to the person 00:09:21.900 --> 00:09:26.900 above me, but I'm submitting to the Father. 00:09:26.900 --> 00:09:31.900 And like it or not, God has ordained humans 00:09:31.900 --> 00:09:36.900 to be submitted to. It is impossible to be submitted to God 00:09:36.900 --> 00:09:41.900 without submitting to humans. Impossible. Not possible. 00:09:41.900 --> 00:09:46.900 That's a lie. That's a democratic 00:09:46.900 --> 00:09:51.900 postmodern way of thinking that I submit to God, but not to any other. 00:09:51.900 --> 00:09:56.900 Well then you're not submitting at all because I've got to submit to someone here on Earth. 00:09:56.900 --> 00:10:01.900 Divine order always works through man. 00:10:01.900 --> 00:10:06.900 You know, I don't know if you remember Eddie telling us of how 00:10:06.900 --> 00:10:11.900 he for four or five years had to work with a guy God put him with 00:10:11.900 --> 00:10:16.900 who was quite abrasive and Eddie didn't enjoy those four or five years, but he chose 00:10:16.900 --> 00:10:21.900 to stay with that man because he knew that in the process he was submitting to God 00:10:21.900 --> 00:10:26.900 and that it was God-ordained order, but that things weren't going exactly as he planned, 00:10:26.900 --> 00:10:31.900 but it was still something he submitted to because he knew how order worked. 00:10:31.900 --> 00:10:36.900 Guys, God's order does not touch upon the matter of who is greater. 00:10:36.900 --> 00:10:41.900 God's order does not touch upon the matter 00:10:41.900 --> 00:10:46.900 of who is greater. God's order does not touch upon the matter 00:10:46.900 --> 00:10:51.900 of who is greater. If I go to Ryan's 00:10:51.900 --> 00:10:56.900 school or when Ryan is teaching a bunch of students, if I go to Ryan's 00:10:56.900 --> 00:11:01.900 class, then regardless of the fact that I'm older than him, that I pastor the church 00:11:01.900 --> 00:11:06.900 that he's at, when I go to his class, I now submit to him. 00:11:06.900 --> 00:11:11.900 So order is not about who is greater or who is lesser. 00:11:11.900 --> 00:11:16.900 Order is the arrangement of things. 00:11:16.900 --> 00:11:21.900 Order is the arrangement of things. 00:11:21.900 --> 00:11:26.900 Order is the arrangement. 00:11:26.900 --> 00:11:31.900 It's simply an arrangement that God uses 00:11:31.900 --> 00:11:36.900 to administer and to function. It is an arrangement 00:11:36.900 --> 00:11:41.900 that God uses 00:11:41.900 --> 00:11:46.900 to administer 00:11:46.900 --> 00:11:51.900 and function. 00:11:51.900 --> 00:11:56.900 It's an arrangement that 00:11:56.900 --> 00:12:01.900 God uses to administer and function. 00:12:01.900 --> 00:12:06.900 It's an arrangement that God uses 00:12:06.900 --> 00:12:11.900 to administer and function. 00:12:11.900 --> 00:12:16.900 So what does God administer, guys? 00:12:16.900 --> 00:12:21.900 What does God administer mainly? If you could use one word, 00:12:21.900 --> 00:12:26.900 what does God administer? 00:12:26.900 --> 00:12:31.900 Right on. God administers grace. In every situation He is administering 00:12:31.900 --> 00:12:36.900 grace. Where there should be judgment, He administers mercy and grace. Where there is shortfall, He administers 00:12:36.900 --> 00:12:41.900 grace. Where there is a lack of hearing, He administers grace through His Rhema word. 00:12:41.900 --> 00:12:46.900 Where people need rescue from sin and ransom from hell, He administers 00:12:46.900 --> 00:12:51.900 grace in the person of Jesus Christ. So at the end of the day, one of the reasons God has 00:12:51.900 --> 00:12:56.900 put order in place is because it's an arrangement that God uses to 00:12:56.900 --> 00:13:01.900 administer grace. 00:13:01.900 --> 00:13:06.900 But everything in the world that has its origin 00:13:06.900 --> 00:13:11.900 from God has godly order. Please don't 00:13:11.900 --> 00:13:16.900 doze off or lose me today because it's important to your life. 00:13:16.900 --> 00:13:21.900 Not yet, Dan. I'll give you, just give me a couple of minutes more. 00:13:21.900 --> 00:13:26.900 Here's another thing. Who does God 00:13:26.900 --> 00:13:31.900 not use to administer grace? 00:13:31.900 --> 00:13:36.900 That's an easy one. I wouldn't have made it that easy. Who does? 00:13:36.900 --> 00:13:41.900 Among us, we must understand that among us, there are, you know, when it comes 00:13:41.900 --> 00:13:46.900 to believers, believers can administer grace as employees. 00:13:46.900 --> 00:13:51.900 Believers can administer grace as servants or slaves. 00:13:51.900 --> 00:13:56.900 Believers can administer grace as hired hands. Believers can administer grace 00:13:56.900 --> 00:14:01.900 as immature children. But God looks for sons 00:14:01.900 --> 00:14:06.900 to administer grace. This is important, guys. 00:14:06.900 --> 00:14:11.900 When it comes to, I mean, you go to the Old Testament and you look at the qualifications of 00:14:11.900 --> 00:14:16.900 priests in Leviticus 17 or Leviticus 21 and you'll see that the priests 00:14:16.900 --> 00:14:21.900 could not have this defect, could not have that defect. At the end of the day, when it comes to the New Testament, 00:14:21.900 --> 00:14:26.900 one of the things we need to understand is just like you would wait for your son to come to an age 00:14:26.900 --> 00:14:31.900 before you will hand him your business to run. 00:14:31.900 --> 00:14:36.900 In the same way, God is looking for sons he can use to administer 00:14:36.900 --> 00:14:41.900 his grace. It's not that he cannot do it through servants. It's not that he cannot do it through 00:14:41.900 --> 00:14:46.900 employees. It's not that he cannot do it through children. But his preferred 00:14:46.900 --> 00:14:51.900 mode is to do it through sons. 00:14:51.900 --> 00:14:56.900 See, we need to understand that unto us a child is born, unto us a son is 00:14:56.900 --> 00:15:01.900 given. It is between unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given 00:15:01.900 --> 00:15:06.900 that maturity happens. 00:15:06.900 --> 00:15:11.900 Let me show that. Isaiah 9, 6, 00:15:11.900 --> 00:15:16.900 unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. 00:15:16.900 --> 00:15:21.900 So, in Bethlehem 00:15:21.900 --> 00:15:26.900 a child is born. 00:15:26.900 --> 00:15:31.900 In Calvary a son is given. 00:15:31.900 --> 00:15:36.900 In the 30 years between 00:15:36.900 --> 00:15:41.900 Jesus comes into 00:15:41.900 --> 00:15:46.900 full maturity. 00:15:46.900 --> 00:15:51.900 You know, another word for this, which people use nowadays, 00:15:51.900 --> 00:15:56.900 is discipleship. Discipleship happens 00:15:56.900 --> 00:16:01.900 between a child being born and a son being given. 00:16:01.900 --> 00:16:06.900 Maturity happens during those years. 00:16:06.900 --> 00:16:11.900 When God wants to administer, it's not that he cannot administer through a child, but he 00:16:11.900 --> 00:16:16.900 prefers waiting until the child has become a son. 00:16:16.900 --> 00:16:21.900 Grasp the enormity 00:16:21.900 --> 00:16:26.900 of this. 00:16:26.900 --> 00:16:31.900 That it is okay to function as a child, you can do it for the rest of your life and I can do it for the rest of my life 00:16:31.900 --> 00:16:36.900 and we will all go to heaven. But we'll have Monday school in heaven. 00:16:36.900 --> 00:16:41.900 I'm just kidding. There's no Monday school in heaven 00:16:41.900 --> 00:16:46.900 because there are no weekdays in heaven. It will not be like, guys, Tuesday, this is our 00:16:46.900 --> 00:16:51.900 schedule in heaven. Thank God for that. Can you imagine, it will be so strange not to have dates 00:16:51.900 --> 00:16:56.900 and weeks, which means there will be no July 17th. 00:16:56.900 --> 00:17:01.900 So enjoy it as much as you want while you're here on earth, guys. 00:17:01.900 --> 00:17:06.900 This is why I keep announcing my birthday. 00:17:06.900 --> 00:17:11.900 Pardon? Sorry? 00:17:11.900 --> 00:17:16.900 I wasn't thinking at all. Never occurred to me. 00:17:16.900 --> 00:17:21.900 His birthday is on the 15th or the 19th? 00:17:21.900 --> 00:17:26.900 13th. 00:17:26.900 --> 00:17:31.900 Guys, so it's in the process, it's in the process between 00:17:31.900 --> 00:17:36.900 child and son that maturity happens. What I'm trying to say is, guys, grab the idea 00:17:36.900 --> 00:17:41.900 of the fact that, yes, you can go to heaven, yes, God will use you 00:17:41.900 --> 00:17:46.900 to do what He wants on earth, but at the end of the day, His mode of operation is through sons. 00:17:46.900 --> 00:17:51.900 And tell me something. Who is it? 00:17:51.900 --> 00:17:56.900 We'll come to that. No, I've got to talk about it now. Who is it that knows when the child is ready? 00:17:56.900 --> 00:18:01.900 Who is it that will know when Tavis is ready? 00:18:01.900 --> 00:18:06.900 Hold that thought, eh? 00:18:06.900 --> 00:18:11.900 You've no idea how important what I'm saying today is. No idea. 00:18:11.900 --> 00:18:16.900 It's rocked the core of my being, man. 00:18:16.900 --> 00:18:21.900 There's one line I've written in this message saying, 00:18:21.900 --> 00:18:26.900 when I was a child, I thought like a child. As I look back on the years of Acts 29, 00:18:26.900 --> 00:18:31.900 I said, Father, I've had so many childish ways for this church, and we cannot afford them anymore. 00:18:31.900 --> 00:18:36.900 So in a sense, 00:18:36.900 --> 00:18:41.900 this message is letting go of your childish ways and coming into adulthood, because I've made 00:18:41.900 --> 00:18:46.900 mistakes in my not knowing better in Acts 29. That's always going to be the case. 00:18:46.900 --> 00:18:51.900 Five years from now, I'm hoping I'll know some more, but I'm hoping the mistakes will be less between now and the next five years. 00:18:51.900 --> 00:18:56.900 These are not deliberate mistakes. 00:18:56.900 --> 00:19:01.900 These are just mistakes of not knowing better, which is a process of growing. 00:19:01.900 --> 00:19:06.900 Can you imagine that? 00:19:06.900 --> 00:19:11.900 This is why ages ago I said, be ready to change what we know today, because tomorrow we might know more. 00:19:11.900 --> 00:19:16.900 Guys, no program can achieve this maturity 00:19:16.900 --> 00:19:21.900 It can help, but it won't achieve it. 00:19:21.900 --> 00:19:26.900 And what did I say was the definition of a disciple? 00:19:26.900 --> 00:19:31.900 Definition of a disciple? 00:19:31.900 --> 00:19:36.900 Those of you who are here for the teaching of the Apostolic heard it. 00:19:36.900 --> 00:19:41.900 A disciple is someone who demonstrates 00:19:41.900 --> 00:19:46.900 divine life and divine ownership. 00:19:46.900 --> 00:19:51.900 A disciple is someone 00:19:51.900 --> 00:19:56.900 who demonstrates 00:19:56.900 --> 00:20:01.900 divine life, as in the life of Christ in him, 00:20:01.900 --> 00:20:06.900 and divine ownership, as in I belong to somebody who is going to take care of me, 00:20:06.900 --> 00:20:11.900 and I'm not going to work my backside off to protect, provide, and take care of myself. 00:20:11.900 --> 00:20:16.900 There are two things that a disciple needs to demonstrate. 00:20:16.900 --> 00:20:21.900 Divine life and divine ownership. 00:20:21.900 --> 00:20:26.900 Take some more, Tavis. 00:20:26.900 --> 00:20:31.900 You can have it. 00:20:31.900 --> 00:20:36.900 You know, you should read the book of Galatians. 00:20:36.900 --> 00:20:41.900 Galatians 4 verses 1 and 2 says this, that a son 00:20:41.900 --> 00:20:46.900 is like a servant. Hear me, huh? Listen to this, guys, carefully. 00:20:46.900 --> 00:20:51.900 A son is like a servant till he has come to an age of maturity. 00:20:51.900 --> 00:20:56.900 Galatians 4 verses 1 and 2. 00:20:56.900 --> 00:21:01.900 What I'm saying is this, 00:21:01.900 --> 00:21:06.900 that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, 00:21:06.900 --> 00:21:11.900 although he owns the whole estate. He is subject to guardians and trustees 00:21:11.900 --> 00:21:16.900 until the time set by whom? 00:21:16.900 --> 00:21:21.900 What I'm saying is that 00:21:21.900 --> 00:21:26.900 as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, though he owns the whole estate. 00:21:26.900 --> 00:21:31.900 He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 00:21:31.900 --> 00:21:36.900 At the end of the day, 00:21:36.900 --> 00:21:41.900 God wants to administrate 00:21:41.900 --> 00:21:46.900 through you, but you have to come into that order thing we talked about. 00:21:46.900 --> 00:21:51.900 What are the things that are important in order? There has to be origin, 00:21:51.900 --> 00:21:56.900 there has to be purpose, there has to be proper place, and there has to be function. 00:21:56.900 --> 00:22:01.900 Then he'll say, okay, now Jacob, 00:22:01.900 --> 00:22:06.900 go ahead and administrate me in you, as in God in you. 00:22:06.900 --> 00:22:11.900 Administrate me in you. You had a question? Or if others have questions, feel free to ask. 00:22:11.900 --> 00:22:16.900 What question was just clarify to you about what order you were talking about? You were talking about the order of the universe, 00:22:16.900 --> 00:22:21.900 you were talking about order on earth. I'm talking about order in the kingdom. 00:22:21.900 --> 00:22:26.900 The kingdom has 00:22:26.900 --> 00:22:31.900 rule over the spirit realm too, so I wouldn't confine it to the earth. 00:22:31.900 --> 00:22:36.900 I'm thinking in terms of the universe and the planet, so that's not true. 00:22:36.900 --> 00:22:41.900 No, no. This is based on function. It's the arrangement of God. 00:34:16.900 --> 00:34:21.900 Yet when it comes to function, like it or not, there is rank and it is out of the wisdom of God. 00:34:21.900 --> 00:34:26.900 And therefore, in certain areas you will find 00:34:26.900 --> 00:34:31.900 that you will do much better than in other areas. An evangelist can go into a place 00:34:31.900 --> 00:34:36.900 where there's evangelism and his rank functions very well in that situation. 00:34:36.900 --> 00:34:41.900 But you send an evangelist into a nation to open up a nation and you will find that he doesn't work well in that situation. 00:34:41.900 --> 00:34:46.900 You will find this in Acts chapter 8. So, over the last month, I've been going and finding out what does this look like? 00:47:38.900 --> 00:47:43.900 What do I have to know? Like you sharpen a pencil, what do I have to hone myself in? 00:47:43.900 --> 00:47:48.900 How does it work? See, there are three types of people in Acts 29. 00:47:48.900 --> 00:47:53.900 Four. Four types of people in Acts 29. 00:47:53.900 --> 00:47:58.900 And feel free to wear your hat, whichever one suits you. 00:47:58.900 --> 00:48:03.900 One, there are people who receive a prophetic word, but don't embrace it. 00:48:03.900 --> 00:48:08.900 There are people like that in Acts 29. 00:48:08.900 --> 00:48:13.900 You receive a prophetic word, but you don't embrace it. 00:48:13.900 --> 00:48:18.900 Second, there are a group of people in Acts 29 who receive a prophetic word 00:48:18.900 --> 00:48:23.900 and embrace it. They really believe that this is something 00:48:23.900 --> 00:48:28.900 that is a God thing. They embrace it. There's a third group of people 00:48:28.900 --> 00:48:33.900 who embrace a prophetic word and now begin to prepare with it. 00:48:33.900 --> 00:48:38.900 And then there's a fourth group of people who both embrace it, 00:48:38.900 --> 00:48:43.900 prepare it, and now want to be trained to function in it. 00:48:43.900 --> 00:48:48.900 You know which cap would suit you best. Wear that fourth category, man. 00:48:48.900 --> 00:48:53.900 But locate yourself in these four areas that I've given you. And then after preparing, I'll have to train in it 00:50:38.900 --> 00:50:43.900 by going to people and asking them to help me with it. 00:50:43.900 --> 00:50:48.900 I'll have to ask someone in Vancouver 00:50:48.900 --> 00:50:53.900 who is operating in this, and I have to ask Eddie. Any well-meaning father will always 00:56:18.900 --> 00:56:23.900 look out for his boy and will never hold his boy back 00:56:23.900 --> 00:56:28.900 if he has the ability to function. 00:56:28.900 --> 00:56:33.900 Push back man. 00:56:33.900 --> 00:56:38.900 Let me say this one thing more and then push back. 00:56:38.900 --> 00:56:43.900 Guys understand, you know, 00:56:43.900 --> 00:56:48.900 I read this out to Eddie five days ago. 00:56:48.900 --> 00:56:53.900 There are times in Jacob's head when this thought occurs that, hey Jacob you're doing pretty well. 00:56:53.900 --> 00:56:58.900 I talked about this during the apostolic teaching. 00:56:58.900 --> 00:57:03.900 There are times in Jacob's head when Jacob begins to get vain enough and not vain enough as in vain enough. 00:57:03.900 --> 00:57:08.900 Gets vain enough, vain enough, vain, vain, vain. 00:57:08.900 --> 00:57:13.900 It gets to a point sometimes in Jacob's head 00:57:13.900 --> 00:57:18.900 where Jacob thinks he's growing rapidly and it's functioning very well and doesn't need as much help. 00:57:18.900 --> 00:57:23.900 There are times when I've seen things that Eddie's search and the way Eddie functioned. 00:57:23.900 --> 00:57:28.900 I think to myself, Acts 29 is doing better than that in certain areas. 00:57:28.900 --> 00:57:33.900 When I hang out with Eddie as I've done in the last little while, 00:57:33.900 --> 00:57:38.900 I can see areas where there are mistakes made. 00:57:38.900 --> 00:57:43.900 I can see areas. 00:57:43.900 --> 00:57:48.900 Why? Because the longer you hang out with somebody, the more you will see 00:57:48.900 --> 00:57:53.900 defects and shortcomings. There are times when we cross boundaries because we don't know how to say no. 01:01:28.900 --> 01:01:33.900 There are other times we cross boundaries because we have a tendency to take up somebody else's cause. 01:01:33.900 --> 01:01:38.900 Let's say Wayne is outraged at something that Matt has done. 01:01:38.900 --> 01:01:43.900 Well, then unless you know it is not a good thing, 01:01:43.900 --> 01:01:48.900 don't join him because you have a tendency to take up other people's causes 01:01:48.900 --> 01:01:53.900 because in the process you can cross boundaries. 01:01:53.900 --> 01:01:58.900 Hey, these are real situations, it's happened with people here. 01:01:58.900 --> 01:02:03.900 Some of us will take up causes when you are not called to touch it and you'll cross boundaries. 01:02:03.900 --> 01:02:08.900 You will say things that you're not supposed to say. 01:02:08.900 --> 01:02:13.900 And thirdly, you're supposed to be people of empathy. 01:02:13.900 --> 01:02:20.900 We are supposed to be people of empathy, but let not your empathy cause you to cross boundaries or to go on break bounds. 01:02:20.900 --> 01:02:25.900 Tell you a guy who did that in the Bible, Barnabas. 01:02:25.900 --> 01:02:30.900 His name means encouragement. The guy had tremendous empathy. 01:02:30.900 --> 01:02:35.900 So what does he do? There's this guy called John Mark. 01:02:35.900 --> 01:02:40.900 In Acts 15 verses 36 onwards. And here's John Mark's problem. 01:02:40.900 --> 01:02:45.900 John Mark didn't have the ability to stay with Paul and Barnabas through a mission trip. 01:02:45.900 --> 01:02:49.900 In the middle of the mission trip, he deserts them. 01:02:49.900 --> 01:02:54.900 But Barnabas insists, oh, let's take him, let's take him, let's take him. 01:02:54.900 --> 01:03:00.900 By the way, Mark was related to Barnabas. He was a relative of Barnabas. He was a cousin of the nephew. 01:03:00.900 --> 01:03:08.900 Very clearly in Acts 13, the Holy Spirit had said, set apart for me, Paul and Barnabas, for I have work for them to do. 01:03:08.900 --> 01:03:17.900 And they were sent.
