What are the things that should be shut? 00:00:29.300 --> 00:00:33.300 What distances should be maintained? How many should gather together? 00:00:33.300 --> 00:00:35.300 And so we keep hearing this word modeling. 00:00:35.300 --> 00:00:44.300 And so just as the world is doing it, before the world even thinks of it, we as believers need to do it. 00:00:44.300 --> 00:00:49.300 And so how do we model for a post-COVID world? 00:00:49.300 --> 00:00:53.300 Because the waters are beginning to recede and the rainbow is appearing. 00:00:53.300 --> 00:00:57.300 Because the waters are beginning to recede and the rainbow is appearing. 00:00:58.300 --> 00:01:08.300 Some parts of this message will not be prophetic as in a prophetic word, but will be prophetic as in the foresight of God. 00:01:08.300 --> 00:01:14.300 Yeah? So how do we model for the post-COVID world as churches? 00:01:14.300 --> 00:01:18.300 Because the waters are receding and the rainbow is appearing. 00:01:18.300 --> 00:01:23.300 And modeling is always based on data. 00:01:23.300 --> 00:01:26.300 Modeling is always based on data. 00:01:26.300 --> 00:01:33.300 And so it is basically forecasting what to expect and therefore how to prepare. 00:01:33.300 --> 00:01:45.300 Modeling is forecasting what to expect and how to prepare for it. 00:01:50.300 --> 00:01:52.300 That's what modeling is. 00:01:52.300 --> 00:01:59.300 And it comes to these conclusions by extracting data. 00:02:04.300 --> 00:02:08.300 So it's based on data and it's forecasting of what to expect and therefore how to prepare. 00:02:08.300 --> 00:02:10.300 The church needs to do that. 00:02:10.300 --> 00:02:15.300 And man, if there's anyone in a position to do that accurately, it is us. 00:02:16.300 --> 00:02:18.300 It is us. 00:02:18.300 --> 00:02:22.300 Our data is extracted from Genesis 8 and 9. 00:02:22.300 --> 00:02:28.300 Our data is extracted from Genesis 8 and 9, which was what Evan read. 00:02:28.300 --> 00:02:32.300 Our data is extracted from Genesis 8 and 9. 00:02:32.300 --> 00:02:36.300 And so today we'll look at the broad preparations churches have to make. 00:02:36.300 --> 00:02:39.300 The broad preparations churches have to make. 00:02:39.300 --> 00:02:42.300 And in the weeks ahead we'll get more specific. 00:02:42.300 --> 00:02:46.300 But today we'll deal with the broad preparations that churches have to make. 00:02:46.300 --> 00:02:48.300 Yeah? 00:03:05.300 --> 00:03:07.300 We are saying look at Genesis 8 and 9. 00:03:07.300 --> 00:03:10.300 There was a time when the world was shut down. 00:03:10.300 --> 00:03:14.300 But when the waters began to recede, the rainbow appeared. 00:03:14.300 --> 00:03:16.300 And God began to plan for the future. 00:03:16.300 --> 00:03:18.300 So what does it look like? 00:03:18.300 --> 00:03:21.300 And so we base it on Genesis 8 and 9. 00:03:21.300 --> 00:03:25.300 And what we are doing is saying, okay God, 00:03:25.300 --> 00:03:29.300 so these are the things you want us as churches to pay attention to. 00:03:29.300 --> 00:03:35.300 And so we will decide now to be deliberate in paying attention to these things. 00:03:35.300 --> 00:03:39.300 Because you are planning for a post-COVID model. 00:03:39.300 --> 00:03:42.300 And the church, before anyone else, should be ready for it. 00:03:42.300 --> 00:03:55.300 It is a crying shame when the loudest voices in churchianity are talking doomsday, wealth transfer and revival. 00:03:58.300 --> 00:04:02.300 But the loudest voices are not the rightest voices. 00:04:03.300 --> 00:04:06.300 So let's look at Genesis 8-1. 00:04:06.300 --> 00:04:16.300 So in Genesis 8-1, it talks about how God sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. 00:04:16.300 --> 00:04:20.300 God sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. 00:04:20.300 --> 00:04:23.300 That's what it says in the second half of Genesis 8-1. 00:04:23.300 --> 00:04:26.300 That God sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded. 00:04:26.300 --> 00:04:32.300 And it is kind of what happened in Acts chapter 2, verse 2 and 3. 00:04:32.300 --> 00:04:38.300 Where if you read it from the message, it says that Gale force winds hit the house. 00:04:38.300 --> 00:04:44.300 And that the wildfire of the spirit began to spread through their ranks. 00:04:44.300 --> 00:04:56.300 And so one of the things that we need to be aware of as the waters of COVID recede and the rainbow begins to appear. 00:04:56.300 --> 00:05:02.300 One of the things we need to be aware of is that this is the time of the greatest activity of the Holy Spirit. 00:05:02.300 --> 00:05:14.300 And it's ironic, not ironic, it is awesome that in 2019, November, December, God very clearly told us at Acts 29 that 2020 will be the year of the Holy Spirit. 00:05:14.300 --> 00:05:17.300 I mean, at that time we had no idea. 00:05:17.300 --> 00:05:19.300 China had no idea. 00:05:19.300 --> 00:05:21.300 Nobody had an idea of what awaited. 00:05:21.300 --> 00:05:28.300 And yet around October or November of 2019, God was saying, guys, 2020 for you will be the year of the Holy Spirit. 00:05:28.300 --> 00:05:36.300 So begin to know how to open yourself up to receive him like you never have before. 00:05:36.300 --> 00:05:47.300 And I want to say to you, as he has always done, guys, sometimes we need to look at the stories of the Bible so that we can figure out on one hand, 00:05:47.300 --> 00:05:51.300 the patterns of God and the devices of the devil. 00:05:51.300 --> 00:05:59.300 Sometimes I hear preachers that I respect say, we don't have to worry about the devil. 00:05:59.300 --> 00:06:02.300 We don't have to pay attention to him, focus on Jesus Christ. 00:06:02.300 --> 00:06:07.300 That's nice, but that is not wise. 00:06:07.300 --> 00:06:10.300 Nice never means wise. 00:06:11.300 --> 00:06:20.300 We are supposed to look at stories in the Bible to figure out, aha, this situation has happened before 00:06:20.300 --> 00:06:23.300 because like Solomon said, there's nothing new under the sun. 00:06:23.300 --> 00:06:28.300 When you look at stories in the Bible, you begin to see how God is going to respond. 00:06:28.300 --> 00:06:33.300 And you also see the devices of the devil because the devil is no creator. 00:06:33.300 --> 00:06:37.300 He's very limited. He's finite. 00:06:37.300 --> 00:06:41.300 He can only have so many tricks in his bag that he keeps repeating. 00:06:41.300 --> 00:06:43.300 It's just packaging. 00:06:47.300 --> 00:06:52.300 And then you look at how God moves in situations like this and you realize that in our present predicament, 00:06:52.300 --> 00:06:56.300 which has happened many times in the past, how does God move? 00:06:56.300 --> 00:06:59.300 And you always find him moving upon the face of the waters. 00:06:59.300 --> 00:07:02.300 You always find him moving upon the face of the waters. 00:07:02.300 --> 00:07:05.300 He talks about that in Genesis chapter 1, verse 2. 00:07:05.300 --> 00:07:08.300 He moved upon the face of the waters. 00:07:09.300 --> 00:07:15.300 In John chapter 7, verse 38, Jesus said, hey, come to me 00:07:15.300 --> 00:07:22.300 and I will give you waters, the living water, oodles of living water so that it can pour through you. 00:07:22.300 --> 00:07:28.300 And then in John 20, verse 21 and 22, Jesus turns to his disciples after he rises from the dead. 00:07:28.300 --> 00:07:30.300 And he says, receive the Holy Spirit. 00:07:30.300 --> 00:07:38.300 And I'm trying to tie together these three because we need to understand that Acts 29, for sure, 00:07:38.300 --> 00:07:42.300 before all this happened, it was told us that this is the year of the Holy Spirit. 00:07:42.300 --> 00:07:48.300 As the wind begins to blow over the earth again, the waters will recede 00:07:48.300 --> 00:07:55.300 and we will begin to see the activity of the Spirit in our lives and through our lives like we have never seen before. 00:07:55.300 --> 00:07:59.300 I look forward to December sometimes when stuff like this is spoken 00:07:59.300 --> 00:08:01.300 to look back and see did it really happen. 00:08:05.300 --> 00:08:12.300 So every morning, like I've said in past teachings, open your arms wide and say to God, I receive your Spirit. 00:08:12.300 --> 00:08:14.300 I receive your Spirit this morning. 00:08:16.300 --> 00:08:23.300 Let what Jesus said in John 7, verse 37 come to pass where he bursts through us 00:08:23.300 --> 00:08:25.300 because he's moving over the waters, man. 00:08:25.300 --> 00:08:29.300 You know, it's this idea of running with the wind of the Spirit. 00:08:29.300 --> 00:08:38.300 Zechariah 6, 8 talks about these four winds symbolized by chariots being pulled. 00:08:38.300 --> 00:08:43.300 And there is this one chariot that is pulled by black horses that begins to head towards the north. 00:08:43.300 --> 00:08:50.300 And you hear God saying, see the wind of my Spirit that has headed towards the north has given rest to my Spirit in the north. 00:08:50.300 --> 00:08:53.300 There is this idea of moving with the Spirit post-COVID. 00:08:53.300 --> 00:08:58.300 Guys, this is when the church has always been meant to arise. 00:09:00.300 --> 00:09:05.300 This is Isaiah 60, arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. 00:09:05.300 --> 00:09:07.300 Isaiah is saying it to the rest of the world. 00:09:07.300 --> 00:09:10.300 Great darkness covers the earth, but greater is the glory of God. 00:09:10.300 --> 00:09:13.300 Through whom? Who carries the glory of God now? 00:09:13.300 --> 00:09:16.300 I don't know how far this message will reach. 00:09:16.300 --> 00:09:19.300 But I'm telling you, man, these messages are going forth. 00:09:25.300 --> 00:09:27.300 I got this picture of horses running, eh? 00:09:27.300 --> 00:09:31.300 And it's a very simple picture. 00:09:31.300 --> 00:09:35.300 But you can see as one horse begins to turn, the rest of them begin to turn. 00:09:35.300 --> 00:09:37.300 Is it on screen? 00:09:37.300 --> 00:09:38.300 This picture of horses? 00:09:38.300 --> 00:09:40.300 Oh, don't worry about it if 00:10:45.300 And if you, I mean, there's that Newsboys song. 00:10:45.300 --> 00:10:47.300 I don't know if you've heard of that famous group. 00:10:47.300 --> 00:10:49.300 It's one of Jane's favorite groups. 00:10:49.300 --> 00:10:51.300 And so when you veer left, then veer left. 00:10:51.300 --> 00:10:53.300 When you veer right, you veer right. 00:10:53.300 --> 00:10:57.300 And so there's a sense of doing exactly that. 00:10:57.300 --> 00:10:59.300 OK. 00:10:59.300 --> 00:11:02.300 That's the first thing that we need to pay attention for. 00:11:02.300 --> 00:11:04.300 How do we model based on data? 00:11:04.300 --> 00:11:06.300 How do we forecast what to expect? 00:11:06.300 --> 00:11:08.300 And how do we prepare for it? 00:11:08.300 --> 00:11:13.300 One of the first things is this will be a time of unprecedented spirit activity. 00:11:13.300 --> 00:11:19.300 The second thing is, guys, in Genesis 8-9, and this is really bothersome, eh? 00:11:19.300 --> 00:11:27.300 Genesis 8-9, Noah sends out a raven and a dove in order to determine the conditions on earth. 00:11:27.300 --> 00:11:31.300 Genesis 8 verse 9, Noah sends out a raven and then a dove 00:11:31.300 --> 00:11:33.300 in order to determine the conditions on earth. 00:11:33.300 --> 00:11:35.300 And he sends them out a few times. 00:11:35.300 --> 00:11:41.300 And why is it that a man who received directions from God 00:11:41.300 --> 00:11:45.300 regarding the corruption of the earth, regarding the building of the ark, 00:11:45.300 --> 00:11:47.300 regarding the impending storm, 00:11:47.300 --> 00:11:51.300 regarding what kind of animals to bring into the ark, 00:11:51.300 --> 00:11:54.300 why is it that the same man who received directions from God 00:11:54.300 --> 00:11:58.300 regarding everything is now resorting to birds 00:11:58.300 --> 00:12:02.300 to figure out when it is time to step on the earth? 00:12:02.300 --> 00:12:06.300 Moses fell into the same trap in Deuteronomy 1-22. 00:12:06.300 --> 00:12:10.300 We often think that the spies were God's idea. 00:12:10.300 --> 00:12:13.300 The twelve spies that were sent out were God's idea. 00:12:13.300 --> 00:12:18.300 The twelve spies were a result of Moses listening to the demand of the people 00:12:18.300 --> 00:12:22.300 who wanted to make sure that before they stepped into the promised land 00:12:22.300 --> 00:12:25.300 that we better check it out and have observable data 00:12:25.300 --> 00:12:29.300 to verify that it's a good idea to go into the promised land. 00:12:29.300 --> 00:12:33.300 One of the things I felt God saying to us as a church 00:12:33.300 --> 00:12:35.300 with regard to Genesis 8-9 is, 00:12:35.300 --> 00:12:38.300 thus far you have walked listening to me. 00:12:38.300 --> 00:12:42.300 But know that you need to develop not herd immunity, 00:12:42.300 --> 00:12:44.300 but immunity from the herd. 00:12:44.300 --> 00:12:47.300 They talk about herd immunity. 00:12:47.300 --> 00:12:52.300 You have to develop something called immunity from the herd. 00:12:52.300 --> 00:12:57.300 Where post-COVID, you'll find that there'll be increased demands 00:12:57.300 --> 00:13:00.300 on how to figure out life. 00:13:00.300 --> 00:13:06.300 There'll be ways of quick fixes that'll launch life again. 00:13:06.300 --> 00:13:08.300 There'll be new fears. 00:13:08.300 --> 00:13:12.300 There'll be new rumors. 00:13:12.300 --> 00:13:17.300 There'll be worldly counsel and advice as to how you should live. 00:13:18.300 --> 00:13:23.300 There'll be worldly counsel and advice as to how you should go about your work, 00:13:23.300 --> 00:13:27.300 how you should go about church, what is good, what is popular, 00:13:27.300 --> 00:13:31.300 what is successful, what is safe, what is unsafe. 00:13:31.300 --> 00:13:35.300 And I'd say to you, live by the proceeding word. 00:13:35.300 --> 00:13:39.300 You know, what happened to Elijah should not happen to us. 00:13:39.300 --> 00:13:41.300 Here's what happened to Elijah. 00:13:41.300 --> 00:13:43.300 Elijah had a massive victory on Mount Carmel, 00:13:43.300 --> 00:13:45.300 and then he let his guard down. 00:13:45.300 --> 00:13:49.840 The
