00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:18.440
We have a pair of booties for Ariel. So if you can come up.

00:00:18.440 --> 00:00:31.200
Joan made this, and so we just wanted to‒ Joan didn't make it, but Joan got it. But

00:00:31.200 --> 00:00:37.000
we just wanted to give it for Ariel, and it will keep her warm during winter.

00:00:37.000 --> 00:00:44.880
All righty, let's go. So we've been talking about kingdom metrics, and so we continue

00:00:45.080 --> 00:00:52.080
with that. So it's Kingdom Metrics 3, and we'll start by recapping what we did last week.

00:00:55.160 --> 00:01:00.280
Oh, by the way, it's Shiloh's birthday today. He's not here. But Shiloh, if you're watching,

00:01:00.280 --> 00:01:07.160
happy birthday. I think he's turning nine, I think. So this is the recap of what we did

00:01:07.160 --> 00:01:14.160
last week. We said that the in-breaking of kingdom is on one hand, and on the other hand,

00:01:14.960 --> 00:01:21.480
it's not covert. It's revolutionary, and it's disruptive. So these are some of the things

00:01:21.480 --> 00:01:27.960
we said last week. That the in-breaking of the kingdom is covert. You don't see it happening,

00:01:27.960 --> 00:01:34.960
but it still keeps happening. It's revolutionary, as in it changes things, but it changes things

00:01:35.480 --> 00:01:42.480
often by disrupting things. It's not how it has always been. So the kingdom of God, as

00:01:43.160 --> 00:01:49.000
in the reign of God, or the rule of God, or the life of God, continuously active. And

00:01:49.000 --> 00:01:55.400
it's initiated by God, and it's worked out by the Spirit. We participate in it. We open

00:01:55.400 --> 00:02:00.760
the door for it, because we went to Matthew 16, 18, 19. We said Christ builds a church,

00:02:00.760 --> 00:02:05.800
but he gives the keys to us to open the doors so that whatever is bound in heaven is bound

00:02:05.800 --> 00:02:09.800
on earth, whatever is loosed in heaven is loosed on earth. And so we have the ability

00:02:09.800 --> 00:02:14.600
to open doors through our lives, and through being distributed all across the earth, but

00:02:14.600 --> 00:02:20.440
it's worked out by the Spirit. It's initiated by God. The next thing we said was that there

00:02:20.440 --> 00:02:27.440
is really nowhere, nowhere, there is nowhere, no village, no town, that the Spirit of God

00:02:29.360 --> 00:02:34.840
isn't actively working in. Like, I'm not talking about passive working, as in hanging out there

00:02:34.840 --> 00:02:40.480
saying, well, if you want me, I'm there for you. Not that kind of thing. Actively working.

00:02:40.480 --> 00:02:46.200
Like surgical kind of working. Like a gardener ploughing up the garden kind of working. Continuously.

00:02:46.200 --> 00:02:51.600
In every home, every village, every town, across the earth. This is the enormity of

00:02:51.600 --> 00:02:58.600
the Spirit of God. It's just massive. And he's working towards what? Towards judgment?

00:02:58.600 --> 00:03:05.600
No, towards mercy. Someone who is judged so that we can be shown mercy. And so he's

00:03:07.240 --> 00:03:13.280
actively working towards that, eh? You know, it's odd. Someone who is judged so that we

00:03:13.280 --> 00:03:19.200
may be shown mercy, and then at the end of time, because we reject mercy, we get judged.

00:03:19.200 --> 00:03:26.200
Not because we, not because of any other reason. Next one.

00:03:28.600 --> 00:03:35.600
How, this, this ain't moving. Brandon, can you make it move?

00:03:47.600 --> 00:03:54.600
There we go. Next one. Is there any one life across the earth? Eight billion people on

00:03:54.600 --> 00:04:01.600
earth. Is there any one life that the Holy Spirit isn't hovering over? Just one life.

00:04:03.960 --> 00:04:10.160
Is there any life that he's not needing like one needs clay? Intervening, wooing, redeeming,

00:04:10.160 --> 00:04:15.320
disrupting, toppling, restoring, or working towards making new. Is there a life on the

00:04:15.320 --> 00:04:21.880
face of the earth that he isn't doing it right now? That's the crazy thing. Right now. He's

00:04:21.920 --> 00:04:27.360
working on every one of the eight billion lives that exist. And what's he doing? He's

00:04:27.360 --> 00:04:32.600
either hovering or needing or intervening or wooing or redeeming or disrupting or toppling

00:04:32.600 --> 00:04:37.320
or restoring or working towards making new. Because it's one of God's favorite things.

00:04:37.320 --> 00:04:42.400
Behold, I have made all things new. He's continuously working towards making things new. When we

00:04:42.400 --> 00:04:49.400
talk about is there one life, it also includes your life. It includes your life. Just because

00:04:50.400 --> 00:04:56.040
you and I have become citizens of the kingdom doesn't mean that it stops. If anything, we

00:04:56.040 --> 00:05:01.720
now accrue the benefits of the kingdom even more easily than the world outside. They don't

00:05:01.720 --> 00:05:07.360
know. We know. It's like knowing how much you have in the bank versus knowing that you've

00:05:07.360 --> 00:05:14.360
got an inheritance and you don't know how to access it. There's not one life right now.

00:05:14.440 --> 00:05:19.360
At this very moment, the strange thing is in every one of our lives, if we were able

00:05:19.360 --> 00:05:26.360
to for a moment recognize it, who are you looking for, Anthony? Oh, for your bag. Okay.

00:05:28.280 --> 00:05:35.280
I don't have it. So there's not a person in this room over whose life the spirit of God

00:05:37.200 --> 00:05:44.200
is not working right now. Not one person. So what do I have to do to engage? I have

00:05:45.000 --> 00:05:51.360
to just look to see. Just become aware that he's doing it. Just an awareness, a simple

00:05:51.360 --> 00:05:55.120
awareness of the spirit of God working in my life even while I'm teaching you right

00:05:55.120 --> 00:06:00.560
now. He's working in my life to make things new. That's crazy. Even as I'm teaching you

00:06:00.560 --> 00:06:06.360
right now, he is working in my life to make things new. To make me more like Christ right

00:06:06.360 --> 00:06:13.360
now. He's not giving me a break saying, oh, you're teaching. I'll leave you alone. Thank

00:06:13.600 --> 00:06:20.600
God, eh? Otherwise you'll get really bad stuff. That's how he is right now. And if we can

00:06:27.360 --> 00:06:32.920
become aware, you'll be surprised at the peace, the comfort, the correction, the conviction,

00:06:32.920 --> 00:06:38.520
the promise, the hope, the laughter, the expectation that begins to rise in your heart. Because

00:06:38.520 --> 00:06:43.640
we are not aware of him. We are left fighting it with our minds and with our sanctified

00:06:43.640 --> 00:06:50.520
flesh. Change happening. You look across and you see someone you were offended with last

00:06:50.520 --> 00:06:56.240
week and change begins to happen. I was reading a story. Just comes to mind suddenly. Guy

00:06:56.240 --> 00:07:02.280
called Bob and guy called Frank. And both of them have been at loggerheads for years.

00:07:02.280 --> 00:07:07.000
Their families don't talk to each other. Go to the same church. One sits on the left side,

00:07:07.000 --> 00:07:11.720
one on the right. They never talk. And then one day communion happens and the pastor

00:07:11.720 --> 00:07:15.320
calls up the two people who are supposed to be the ones who step up for communion. One

00:07:15.320 --> 00:07:20.680
is Bob and the other one was Gilda. Gilda or Hilda didn't turn up that day. So the pastor

00:07:20.680 --> 00:07:24.500
forgot and he said, well, Frank, why don't you come up? And now Bob and Frank are standing

00:07:24.500 --> 00:07:30.620
in front. And the spirit of God is working in their lives. They don't even look at each

00:07:30.620 --> 00:07:35.160
other. It's been 20 years since they spoke and they're standing there in front. And the

00:07:35.640 --> 00:07:39.640
words that are being spoken during communion are, we thank you for the bread that is broken,

00:07:39.640 --> 00:07:44.680
your body broken so that we may be put together, that we may be forgiven and that we may forgive

00:07:44.680 --> 00:07:51.680
each other. And these guys don't know what to do. That's a visible example of the invisible

00:07:53.080 --> 00:08:00.080
at work. But if we were conscious or aware, forget the word conscious, aware, you would

00:08:01.080 --> 00:08:08.080
go home with baskets full of hope and promise and peace. Every Sunday, every time you meet,

00:08:09.680 --> 00:08:16.680
you would go home that way. That's with regard to us, but he's doing this to people all around

00:08:21.760 --> 00:08:28.760
the world. Then we said that when our small, often hidden and weak churches, they are not

00:08:30.080 --> 00:08:36.640
ministries and efforts. When our small and often hidden and weak churches, ministries

00:08:36.640 --> 00:08:43.640
and efforts discern what God is already doing and join in that work where he directs, we

00:08:43.720 --> 00:08:50.720
become part of God's tsunami in Richmond. So it's a pathetic, clumsy, half-baked work

00:08:50.720 --> 00:08:57.720
that God takes because when I'm weak but passionate, he is strong. And when our small,

00:09:02.720 --> 00:09:07.200
often hidden and weak churches, ministries and efforts discern what God is already doing,

00:09:07.200 --> 00:09:11.480
I mean, it wouldn't be great if I, while I'm teaching, can discern what's happening in

00:09:11.480 --> 00:09:16.680
Aaron's life or in Mike's life or in Mira's life. And during the teaching, I begin to

00:09:16.720 --> 00:09:22.920
just say two or three words that completely changed Aaron's life or Mira's life. What

00:09:22.920 --> 00:09:28.640
if that could be something that, this is without being prophetic, just being aware of the work

00:09:28.640 --> 00:09:35.640
that at present God is doing in Aaron's life. Just being aware. It's not a prophetic word.

00:09:36.160 --> 00:09:43.160
And it slips in, saying, son, I'm not discouraged. I am not disappointed. I'm encouraged by

00:09:44.160 --> 00:09:50.480
you. So keep pressing on. Mistakes happen. Put them behind you. Get up. Start walking

00:09:50.480 --> 00:09:54.920
again because what I gave you when you came in is what you still have and I'm adding to

00:09:54.920 --> 00:10:01.360
you. Nothing has been subtracted. And that wasn't even an example. That was real. But

00:10:01.360 --> 00:10:07.680
what if I was aware? Then I get to join in the work he's doing where he directs and we

00:10:07.680 --> 00:10:14.680
become part of God's tsunami in his life and in Richmond. Then we said, like the parable

00:10:15.600 --> 00:10:20.920
of the mustard seed and the leaven, we are planted in the world. We're not planted in

00:10:20.920 --> 00:10:24.760
the church. We grow in the church. We're not planted in the church. This is like one of

00:10:24.760 --> 00:10:28.320
those nurseries where you begin to grow and then you're taken and put in someone else's

00:10:28.320 --> 00:10:34.600
garden. We are planted in the world like the parable of mustard, the mustard seed and leaven.

00:10:34.600 --> 00:10:39.160
We are planted to corrupt the corruption of the world. We are supposed to corrupt the

00:10:39.160 --> 00:10:46.160
corruption of the world. What a cool, like it's all spy stuff, man. You go in like they

00:10:46.800 --> 00:10:51.720
used to call them the fifth columnists. They would send them ahead of an army coming to

00:10:51.720 --> 00:10:58.720
just begin to infiltrate a town and begin to propagate a new way of thinking so that

00:10:59.040 --> 00:11:05.560
when the army comes in, the place would be ready. Can we corrupt the corruption of the

00:11:05.560 --> 00:11:12.560
world and become God's counter story? God's counter story. God's counter story. God's

00:11:12.760 --> 00:11:19.760
counter story. Okay, it stopped moving again, Brandon. Maybe if you get up, it'll start

00:11:21.680 --> 00:11:28.680
moving. No, not yet. Say something. Threaten it. You're not going to get up. You're not

00:11:28.720 --> 00:11:35.720
going to get up. Okay, cool. Remember what RJSE is, right? We seed RJSE. What is RJSE?

00:11:59.400 --> 00:12:06.400
Right Living Through Right Relationship. Justice, Shalom, Equity. Dilna, you seem to have forgotten.

00:12:12.440 --> 00:12:19.440
Okay, so remember these are the external kingdom metrics. What do we seed in the world? We

00:12:20.160 --> 00:12:26.960
seed right relationship and right living. We seed the world with what does it look like

00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:32.040
to have God's justice begin to flow through our lives? How does God's justice flow? Very

00:12:32.040 --> 00:12:37.600
simple. Love the Lord your God and love your neighbor as you love yourself. Third, Shalom.

00:12:37.600 --> 00:12:43.120
Wholeness to the city we are in. And then the last one, equity or fairness. How do we

00:12:43.120 --> 00:12:47.880
bring about fairness? Those are some of the things. And the last one is we should be the

00:12:47.880 --> 00:12:54.880
kindest people in our city. Seeing our no strings attached kindness will open doors

00:12:55.120 --> 00:13:01.440
to discovering how kind and loving God is. Seeing our no strings attached kindness will

00:13:01.440 --> 00:13:06.080
open doors to discovering how kind and loving he is. I heard this story yesterday from a

00:13:06.080 --> 00:13:11.920
church in Richmond. So this lady returns home. She's got two kids. She returns home and finds

00:13:11.920 --> 00:13:17.200
her husband in bed with some other woman and she has to leave. She leaves. She's a new

00:13:17.200 --> 00:13:24.200
immigrant not from a very well to do country. And now she's got two kids and the husband

00:13:24.360 --> 00:13:30.080
decides he's not going to do anything to help. So she goes to this particular church and

00:13:30.080 --> 00:13:37.080
in that particular church the daycare begins to take care of her children at a super reduced

00:13:37.520 --> 00:13:42.960
rate and then realize that she doesn't even have food to eat to feed her children and

00:13:42.960 --> 00:13:49.200
the husband has turned his back on them and isn't doing anything to help them. So they

00:13:49.200 --> 00:13:56.200
register her with a food bank. And so food hampers begin arriving to help them survive.

00:13:58.120 --> 00:14:00.880
Different churches, there are two or three different churches that begin to help. And

00:14:00.880 --> 00:14:06.600
food hampers arrive. They begin to help the kids survive and for her to eat. It's her

00:14:06.600 --> 00:14:13.600
birthday one day and she knows she's got nothing to celebrate the birthday with. So she knows

00:14:14.200 --> 00:14:18.280
it will be a birthday that she spends with her children with nothing to do and she goes

00:14:18.280 --> 00:14:22.680
gets a hamper for the week to cook meals and it just so happens that our local save

00:14:22.680 --> 00:14:29.480
on here in Richmond that day had a cake that was partly smashed because the cardboard box

00:14:29.480 --> 00:14:33.680
shook and the icing on the cake was smashed. So they decide they'll take the cake and put

00:14:33.680 --> 00:14:37.720
it in the hamper. So they put it in the hamper. She takes it home. She has no idea. She knows

00:14:37.720 --> 00:14:41.640
what's usually in the hamper for a week. She opens it. It's her birthday. She opens it

00:14:41.640 --> 00:14:45.440
and there's a cake in there. This is a true story happening here in Richmond. Not too

00:14:45.520 --> 00:14:51.320
long ago. She opens it and she can't believe it. Her kids are like thrilled saying this

00:14:51.320 --> 00:14:58.320
God because they're not Christians. They're from a country that is it's not India. It's

00:14:58.320 --> 00:15:05.320
another country where it's not it's not the Christian God. Two days later she turns up

00:15:05.600 --> 00:15:11.320
at the place that registered her for the food bank and she says could I know your God because

00:15:11.480 --> 00:15:16.400
there's no one else who could have known and done this for me than your God and the person

00:15:16.400 --> 00:15:23.400
there was able to lead her to the Lord and she and her two kids now serve the Lord. Such

00:15:23.840 --> 00:15:27.880
a simple story that I heard yesterday. I'm thinking to myself gosh man what does it take

00:15:27.880 --> 00:15:34.480
to be a little kind. Remember how we define kindness. Kindness is the expression of the

00:15:34.480 --> 00:15:39.200
goodness of God. We say the glory of God is the goodness of God. The goodness of God is

00:15:39.200 --> 00:15:46.080
expressed through kindness. Kindness is the expression of the goodness of God. The goodness

00:15:46.080 --> 00:15:53.080
of God is his glory. And so when I am kind it is surprising how I open the door for the

00:15:53.200 --> 00:16:00.200
glory of God to enter a situation. What does it take man. Remember Desmond Tutu story right.

00:16:01.800 --> 00:16:08.800
A smile changes a nation. That is just nuts man. Would you differentiate between the two

00:16:09.200 --> 00:16:16.200
words. From. Yeah. Would I differentiate kindness from niceness. Good question. The

00:16:16.680 --> 00:16:21.680
difference between kindness and niceness is niceness costs me nothing. Kindness costs

00:16:21.680 --> 00:16:27.680
me something. Because when I'm kind my heart is involved. When I'm kind as we will see

00:16:27.680 --> 00:16:34.680
today my feet are involved. My money is involved. My heart and mind. It's more niceness. Niceness

00:16:35.680 --> 00:16:42.680
Canadians are like Aston. Yeah. Niceness we are really good at it. Yeah. Kindness is when

00:16:45.200 --> 00:16:52.200
so much of me is involved. Yeah. So let's look at three parables today to figure out

00:16:57.160 --> 00:17:02.360
some more principles of the kingdom that we can apply and sow to the world around us.

00:17:02.360 --> 00:17:06.000
Remember everything about the kingdom now that you are citizens everything about the

00:17:06.000 --> 00:17:13.000
kingdom is how you get sown into the world. It is nothing else but you being scattered.

00:17:14.560 --> 00:17:21.560
Yeah. And remember scattering is not a strategic scattering is put your hand in the sack and

00:17:21.880 --> 00:17:28.880
go kshhh. I don't know whether that's a sound but it's something like that. Yeah. And so

00:17:28.960 --> 00:17:34.160
it goes all over the place. Where you fall know that God in his brilliance has the ability

00:17:34.160 --> 00:17:41.160
to locate you at the right place. But scattering is not something that I have to pray a lot

00:17:41.160 --> 00:17:45.800
over before I get scattered. Yeah. That's another mistake we make when it comes to things

00:17:45.800 --> 00:17:50.000
of the kingdom being sown into the world. My God we start praying because in praying

00:17:50.000 --> 00:17:57.000
we can take up another two months. Don't have to do anything. But we are good seed already.

00:17:57.320 --> 00:18:04.320
You can't pray the seed into anything better. At least that's what Jesus said. Okay so the

00:18:08.520 --> 00:18:15.520
first parable we look at is Luke 16 1-13. Luke 16 1-13. Luke 16 1-13. The parables were

00:18:15.520 --> 00:18:22.520
actually some of them were cryptic but most of them were supposed to be understood by

00:18:27.400 --> 00:18:34.400
simple people and so you are simple people. Luke 16 1-13 or 1-13 yeah. Here goes. Jesus

00:18:34.400 --> 00:18:41.400
told his disciples there was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.

00:18:51.360 --> 00:18:55.800
So he called him in and asked him what is this I hear about you. Give an account of

00:18:55.800 --> 00:19:01.440
your management because you cannot be my manager any longer. The manager said to himself what

00:19:01.440 --> 00:19:06.880
shall I do now my master is taking away my job. I'm not strong enough to dig and I'm

00:19:06.880 --> 00:19:12.320
ashamed to beg. I know what I'll do so that when I lose my job here people will welcome

00:19:12.320 --> 00:19:17.920
me into their houses. So he called in each one of his masters debtors. He asked the first

00:19:17.920 --> 00:19:23.560
how much do you owe my master. Eight hundred gallons of olive oil he said. The manager

00:19:23.560 --> 00:19:29.240
told him take your bill sit down quickly and make it four hundred. Then he asked the second

00:19:29.320 --> 00:19:35.000
how much do you owe. A thousand bushels of wheat he replied. He told him take your bill

00:19:35.000 --> 00:19:42.000
make it eight hundred. The next verse is quite something. The master commended the dishonest

00:19:42.320 --> 00:19:48.080
manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in

00:19:48.080 --> 00:19:54.840
dealing with their own kind than other people of light. I tell you use worldly wealth to

00:19:54.880 --> 00:20:00.000
gain friends for yourself so that when it is gone you will be welcomed into eternal

00:20:00.000 --> 00:20:05.720
dwellings. Whoever can be trusted with very little can be trusted with much. Whoever is

00:20:05.720 --> 00:20:11.640
dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. So if you have not been trustworthy

00:20:11.640 --> 00:20:16.600
in handling worldly wealth who will trust you with true riches. And if you have not

00:20:16.600 --> 00:20:22.240
been trustworthy with someone else's property who will give you property of your own. No

00:20:22.280 --> 00:20:28.000
servant can serve two masters either he will hate one and love the other or he will be

00:20:28.000 --> 00:20:35.000
devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. So the goal

00:20:37.760 --> 00:20:44.760
here the goal here is kingdom oriented shrewdness. Kingdom oriented shrewdness. So the people

00:20:52.240 --> 00:20:59.240
of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than other people of light.

00:21:02.000 --> 00:21:09.000
And so what are we dealing with? We are dealing with unrighteous mammon or money or another

00:21:10.440 --> 00:21:17.440
way of saying the same thing is money of this unrighteous age. That's the meaning of the

00:21:22.240 --> 00:21:29.240
medium here. And what are we using it for? We are using it to create kingdom friendships.

00:21:39.200 --> 00:21:46.200
Question is how? Ok so the goal here is hey can I teach you how to be ones who can practice

00:21:47.200 --> 00:21:52.200
kingdom oriented shrewdness. You know Christians are some of the most gullible people on the

00:21:52.200 --> 00:22:00.200
face of the earth. We believe anything. Anything. One of the things that really blew my mind

00:22:00.200 --> 00:22:07.200
is when during the 2000 anniversary of David's reign the Israeli tourism board built a cement

00:22:07.200 --> 00:22:14.200
platform six inches under the Jordan river under the Sea of Galilee like off the shore

00:22:15.200 --> 00:22:20.200
so that Christians could have the experience of walking on water. And then they began charging

00:22:20.200 --> 00:22:25.200
for it and thousands of Christian tourists went to have that experience of walking on

00:22:25.200 --> 00:22:32.200
water and I'm thinking to myself how gullible do we get? And so I think that's the point

00:22:32.200 --> 00:22:39.200
I'm thinking to myself how gullible do we get? Or eight million pounds raised in India

00:22:41.560 --> 00:22:47.360
so that we can plant olive trees on Mount Olive so that when Jesus returns he will find

00:22:47.360 --> 00:22:54.360
it green and not barren. Eight million pounds you know how much that is in Indian rupees?

00:22:55.360 --> 00:23:02.360
It's very gullible and he wants us to be shrewd but kingdom oriented shrewdness where you

00:23:03.360 --> 00:23:09.120
use money of this unrighteous age or unrighteous money however you want to call it and you

00:23:09.120 --> 00:23:16.120
use it to create kingdom friendships. How? Luke 14, 13, and then the second chapter of

00:23:24.360 --> 00:23:30.240
the book says, but when you give a banquet invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the

00:23:30.240 --> 00:23:34.680
blind and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the

00:23:34.680 --> 00:23:39.540
resurrection of the righteous. So one of the first things we do is we use the money, we

00:23:39.540 --> 00:23:46.540
use the money of this world to make kingdom friends by making friends with the poor. So

00:23:55.360 --> 00:24:02.360
we are inviting, giving to those that cannot reciprocate in this world but like the woman

00:24:13.360 --> 00:24:20.360
who got the cake can one day because of what you did. So we invite you to give a banquet

00:24:24.440 --> 00:24:31.440
be part of a new community in this world and the banquet in the next. So here's a challenge,

00:24:45.480 --> 00:24:51.000
I know it's a little late for some of us to do this but here's a challenge. Tomorrow

00:24:51.000 --> 00:24:58.000
at your Thanksgiving meal will there be someone like this or will it all be friends who are

00:24:58.280 --> 00:25:05.280
already part of the kingdom? I'm just praying that one of the guys I want to invite tomorrow

00:25:06.840 --> 00:25:13.840
for lunch because we are making this amazing turkey called Spatch Cook or Snapchat or Scotch

00:25:14.200 --> 00:25:20.480
Mac, I don't remember the name but it's a turkey like that and so we're making it and

00:25:20.480 --> 00:25:27.480
I'm hoping that I can go down and ask a guy that works at A&W to come and join us and

00:25:28.240 --> 00:25:35.240
it will be awkward. I'd rather have just my friends but it will be awkward. Do you realize

00:25:37.360 --> 00:25:43.800
how quiet we've suddenly gone? It's going to get worse eh? This is just the beginning.

00:25:43.800 --> 00:25:48.040
I realize for some of us it won't be possible to pull it off by tomorrow plus if you've

00:25:48.040 --> 00:25:54.400
got other family that need to be told then it would be impossible. What if some of us

00:25:54.400 --> 00:26:01.400
could attempt it? What if you're not doing lunch but you're doing lunch alone and you

00:26:01.760 --> 00:26:08.760
decide to do it differently? Small steps eh? Any questions? Gosh this is deadly still.

00:26:18.040 --> 00:26:25.040
Okay. I'll let you know how it goes. Second, the shrewd thing is to use it now for something

00:26:40.880 --> 00:26:47.880
lasting so when it's gone what you get in return is eternal. The shrewd thing is to

00:26:47.880 --> 00:26:54.880
use money right now for something lasting so that when it's gone what remains is eternal.

00:26:55.920 --> 00:27:01.640
When you look at Luke 16 and we read it just now and you read 10 to 12 you realize that

00:27:01.640 --> 00:27:08.640
how I treat money. How I treat money. I'm deliberately not using the word steward. I'm

00:27:11.640 --> 00:27:17.400
not using the word steward because stewardship is sometimes just careful unbelief disguised

00:27:17.400 --> 00:27:24.400
as good stewardship. I hate the word stewardship when it comes to Christian circles because

00:27:25.520 --> 00:27:30.920
it just means you know we got to save for our children and for our future. It is so

00:27:30.920 --> 00:27:36.600
blooming self-centered so why not just take that word away for now and just use the word

00:27:36.600 --> 00:27:43.600
treat. How I treat money. How I treat money. I have a desire to be a good steward. I have

00:27:47.400 --> 00:27:54.400
this present moment. How I treat money that I have at this present moment is indicative

00:28:01.280 --> 00:28:08.280
of what we will be trusted with tomorrow. Now nobody is exempt. You don't have to have

00:28:09.560 --> 00:28:16.560
much or little. Any questions? Okay. So I'm going to go ahead and ask you a question.

00:28:18.400 --> 00:28:25.400
Shoot, Brandon can you do your thing? Wow, this is like Daniel Daniel. Tekel tekel mene

00:28:30.200 --> 00:28:37.200
upar scene. You must have freaked the guy out as the finger begins to write on the wall.

00:28:37.200 --> 00:28:44.200
Okay. Well it's not done. Yeah. Any questions on this guys? How I treat money I have at

00:28:55.720 --> 00:29:01.480
this present moment is indicative of what we will be trusted with tomorrow. How do you

00:29:01.480 --> 00:29:06.600
treat money? Not how do you steward money. How do you treat money? What's your relationship

00:29:06.600 --> 00:29:13.600
with money? And there are different ways of defining it. I'm a tither. I'm a giver.

00:29:16.520 --> 00:29:21.680
I'm generous. I'm a saver. I steward. All these words may apply. I'm not asking you

00:29:21.680 --> 00:29:26.880
to say which one you are but we need to understand that how I treat money today is indicative

00:29:26.880 --> 00:29:33.880
of how I will be trusted with more tomorrow. Any questions? Okay. So I'm going to ask you

00:29:36.600 --> 00:29:43.600
questions. Trustworthiness, trustworthiness with unrighteous wealth, trustworthiness with

00:29:55.160 --> 00:30:02.160
unrighteous wealth has a direct correlation with being trusted with more tomorrow.

00:30:06.600 --> 00:30:13.600
Trustworthiness with true riches. So my trustworthiness with unrighteous wealth has a direct correlation

00:30:13.600 --> 00:30:20.600
with being trusted with true riches. What are the true riches that we can get in the

00:30:20.960 --> 00:30:27.960
process? Cities and the souls of men. This church has a ridiculous amount of money that

00:30:33.800 --> 00:30:40.800
we can get in the process. Cities and the souls of men. This church has a ridiculous

00:30:40.800 --> 00:30:47.800
relationship with money. We treat money as just an amoral thing that must be spent. And

00:30:52.160 --> 00:30:59.160
so in return this church will get cities, will get the souls of men. But what if my

00:31:00.440 --> 00:31:07.440
attitude is the same? What if I'm not going to get the souls of men? What if I'm not going

00:31:10.800 --> 00:31:17.800
to get the souls of men? If I'm not going to get the souls of men, then I get cities.

00:31:17.800 --> 00:31:24.800
I get the souls of men. These are true riches. Any questions? Do we have no questions because

00:31:24.800 --> 00:31:31.800
we totally get it or totally believe it? Go ahead. The correct way to view stewardship,

00:31:31.800 --> 00:31:38.800
if I tell you, it'll really make every accountant here highly uncomfortable. So let me go ahead

00:31:39.560 --> 00:31:46.560
and use Jesus' words. Look at the birds of the air. They're neither so nor really. They're

00:31:48.640 --> 00:31:55.640
so small. They're so small. They're so small. They're so small. They're so small. They're

00:31:55.640 --> 00:32:02.640
so small. Look at the flowers of the fields. They neither spin nor do any kind of work,

00:32:02.920 --> 00:32:08.920
yet they are decked out more beautifully than Solomon. Why is it that you worry about tomorrow?

00:32:08.920 --> 00:32:14.920
About what you wear, where you will stay, what you will eat? Your father in heaven knows

00:32:14.920 --> 00:32:19.920
how to take care of the sparrows. Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't

00:32:19.920 --> 00:32:24.920
he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't he? Won't

00:32:25.520 --> 00:32:32.520
he? Take much more care of you because your word's so much more than sparrows. I know.

00:32:37.640 --> 00:32:42.880
So the immediate response, I wasn't taking a shot at Dilna or Aaron. They're both decent

00:32:42.880 --> 00:32:48.200
accountants and godly men who have a kingdom perspective. Now that I've said that, they

00:32:48.200 --> 00:32:55.200
won't say a word. So how about proverbs where it says, the ant... Yeah, let me say your

00:33:03.200 --> 00:33:09.320
question and answer it. How about the ant? How about the ant? The ant is the favorite

00:33:09.320 --> 00:33:16.320
proverb of every accountant, yeah? Except Heidi. Heidi never went to accounting school,

00:33:17.120 --> 00:33:24.120
so she didn't get the memo. So look at the ant you sluggered. So what's the point there?

00:33:26.320 --> 00:33:32.060
Look at the ant you sluggered, you lazy fellow. You spend the whole summer with your feet

00:33:32.060 --> 00:33:39.060
up watching reruns of Seinfeld and then come winter, you want the Lord to take care of

00:33:39.060 --> 00:33:46.060
you and you don't know what to do. It's talking about the man who is lazy, the sluggard. But

00:33:49.420 --> 00:33:56.420
otherwise, Jesus' advice is very unsound. Because everything in us cries out, Oslo

00:33:59.460 --> 00:34:05.020
Chambers puts it this way, that your soul begins to cry out saying, surely Jesus, you

00:34:06.020 --> 00:34:10.220
can be more responsible than that and give us better advice than that because you're

00:34:10.220 --> 00:34:15.420
screaming saying that's not how the world works. And then Oslo Chambers says, what we

00:34:15.420 --> 00:34:22.420
live, the way we live with money is called careful unbelief. Careful unbelief. It's not

00:34:24.020 --> 00:34:30.580
careless nor is it belief. It's careful unbelief. This kind of living will get you cities and

00:34:30.580 --> 00:34:37.580
the souls of men. That's what they did. They took what they had. They were not lazy. They

00:34:38.940 --> 00:34:45.940
traded it. Five minutes became ten minutes. So it was not a lack of effort. It was trading.

00:34:46.500 --> 00:34:52.980
But what they got in return was much more. They were not afraid of money. They got much

00:34:52.980 --> 00:34:59.980
more back. They got cities. So what they did was they took what they had. They were not

00:35:00.580 --> 00:35:07.580
afraid of money. This is where we're going, guys. It starts with one city, then we'll

00:35:08.180 --> 00:35:15.180
get more. Or they, you will never hear anyone teach that cities are taken by giving money

00:35:19.660 --> 00:35:25.060
away. You'll hear spiritual warfare, but you'll never hear cities being taken because

00:35:25.060 --> 00:35:32.060
the people have suddenly gotten a different relationship with money. If you notice, what

00:35:35.220 --> 00:35:42.220
did the king of Sodom want? And what was he willing to give? Give me the souls of men.

00:35:42.220 --> 00:35:49.220
Take the money. It's exactly anti-kingdom. The kingdom wants the souls of men and doesn't

00:35:49.220 --> 00:35:56.220
care about money because it knows where everything comes from. But the king of Sodom offers to

00:35:56.220 --> 00:36:03.220
Abraham, give me the souls of men. You take the money. And Abraham says no. And instead,

00:36:07.220 --> 00:36:13.220
what does he do? He takes a tenth of whatever he has from the spoils of war and gives it

00:36:13.220 --> 00:36:20.220
to Melchizedek. And then what does God say? Brilliant. Abraham, I will be your exceeding

00:36:28.380 --> 00:36:35.380
great reward and shield. Timeless principles, eh? So here's the thing, guys. People are

00:36:35.380 --> 00:36:42.380
either, not people, you and I are either managers of money who serve the world or managers of

00:36:43.080 --> 00:36:49.380
money who serve the world. And the king of Sodom is the king of the

00:36:49.380 --> 00:36:56.380
world. And he's the king of the world. And he's the king of the world. And he's the

00:37:13.380 --> 00:37:20.380
king of the world. The world that God is bringing in. Hallelujah. You can't do both.

00:37:31.380 --> 00:37:37.420
Scylla, you and I are either managers of money who serve the world or we are managers of

00:37:37.420 --> 00:37:42.780
money who serve the world that God is bringing in. Meaning serve the kingdom that God is

00:37:42.780 --> 00:37:47.860
bringing in. You're manager of money one way or the other. All of us, eh? If you get pocket

00:37:47.860 --> 00:37:54.860
money, you're already there. So what are we to do with the money we have? Spend with abandoned

00:38:07.580 --> 00:38:14.580
to make kingdom friends. No regrets. You'll see them in eternity. Every invitation to

00:38:15.100 --> 00:38:22.100
your home, every time you went out of your way to get someone something that you knew

00:38:35.740 --> 00:38:41.620
they couldn't afford, every time you went out of your way to get someone something that

00:38:41.620 --> 00:38:48.620
you knew they couldn't afford, every time you will buy something for a person that doesn't

00:38:49.380 --> 00:38:56.380
have the ability to. I mean, every time you go on a trip, spending your money on some

00:38:57.220 --> 00:39:04.220
airline to go a long ways, not even seeing results but knowing that something will transpire

00:39:05.100 --> 00:39:11.420
and souls will come to the kingdom. Every time you go to pick up somebody and bring

00:39:11.420 --> 00:39:16.420
them to church and you don't even have enough money to pay for another tank of gas but you

00:39:16.420 --> 00:39:23.420
do. They matter and you will see the results. Please don't wait for a windfall because

00:39:23.420 --> 00:39:30.420
waiting for the windfall just makes you die hopeless. The windfall will come when it comes

00:39:31.820 --> 00:39:38.820
and the windfall will take care of everything that needs to be taken care of. And don't

00:39:44.820 --> 00:39:51.820
worry about the windfall. It's not a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. It's a big

00:39:53.420 --> 00:39:56.420
deal. Don't worry. You'll not miss out on an opportunity. Jesus said the poor will always

00:39:56.420 --> 00:40:01.420
be with us. He's taken care of that. So it's not like, Chuck, I wish I had an opportunity.

00:40:01.420 --> 00:40:08.420
It's not a problem there. Any questions? Sorry? Yeah, yeah. Spend with abandoned to make kingdom

00:40:08.420 --> 00:40:15.420
friends. Please pray that I meet the guy this afternoon when I go back and I'm going to

00:40:15.420 --> 00:40:22.420
invite him. It's going to be super awkward. All super good. Hey, Raj. Good to see you.

00:40:22.420 --> 00:40:29.420
Any questions? I can't hear you. I'm just asking the Lord, Father, who do you want?

00:40:29.420 --> 00:40:36.420
And then I have my second choice and my third choice so that if one fails, the other fails,

00:40:44.420 --> 00:40:51.420
the other fails. At least I'll get into the practice of doing this, right? Let's assume

00:40:51.420 --> 00:40:58.420
after doing all this, nobody turns up. That's fine. You don't need to wait for a Thanksgiving

00:41:05.420 --> 00:41:12.420
thing to invite people, right? It's just that you may not make the hopscotch turkey. The

00:41:12.420 --> 00:41:20.420
name keeps changing. Yeah, I know. What is it? Spatchcock turkey. Yeah. Next parable is Luke 10, 25 to 37. Luke 10, 25 to 37. Luke 10, 25 to 37.

00:41:43.420 --> 00:41:50.420
On one occasion, an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. Peter, he asked, what must

00:41:51.060 --> 00:41:56.560
I do to inherit eternal life? What is written in the law? He replied, how do you read it?

00:41:56.560 --> 00:42:00.220
He answered, love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all

00:42:00.220 --> 00:42:04.900
your strength and with all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself. You have answered

00:42:04.900 --> 00:42:10.600
correctly, Jesus replied. Do this and you will live. But he wanted to justify himself,

00:42:10.600 --> 00:42:15.220
so he asked Jesus, and who is my neighbor? In reply, Jesus said, a man was going down

00:42:15.220 --> 00:42:20.000
from Jerusalem to Jericho when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stripped him of

00:42:20.000 --> 00:42:25.400
his clothes, beat him, and went away leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going

00:42:25.400 --> 00:42:30.040
down the same road and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too a Levite

00:42:30.040 --> 00:42:35.460
when he came to the place and saw him passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan as he

00:42:35.460 --> 00:42:39.960
traveled came where the man was. And when he saw him, it took pity on him. He went to

00:42:40.000 --> 00:42:44.900
him and bandaged his wounds, pouring in oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey,

00:42:44.900 --> 00:42:50.000
took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and

00:42:50.000 --> 00:42:54.720
gave them to the innkeeper. Look after him, he said. When I return, I'll reimburse you

00:42:54.720 --> 00:42:59.840
for any extra expense you may have. Which of these three do you think was a neighbor

00:42:59.840 --> 00:43:04.600
to the man who fell into the hands of the robbers? The expert in the law replied, the

00:43:04.600 --> 00:43:10.240
man who had mercy on him. Jesus told him, go and do likewise. I know this is such a

00:43:10.240 --> 00:43:15.040
common story that we've heard right from when we were kids. But please let's look at the

00:43:15.040 --> 00:43:22.040
background. The background is Jesus is rejoicing because he sent out 72 and they came back.

00:43:24.680 --> 00:43:31.680
And Jesus is rejoicing that God has revealed things to children. And he started to say,

00:43:34.680 --> 00:43:41.680
we're talking about the 72. But has hidden it from the wise and the intelligent. That's

00:43:44.520 --> 00:43:50.480
a back story. So Jesus is rejoicing in this and while he's talking about it and rejoicing

00:43:50.480 --> 00:43:57.480
in it, that's when a lawyer who was trying to be wise, I mean when you look at the scriptures,

00:43:58.480 --> 00:44:05.480
he literally interrupts. He literally says there, Luke 10, right? Where is it? Yeah.

00:44:13.680 --> 00:44:20.240
The actual sense of the word is just then a lawyer begins to speak up and he says, wanting

00:44:20.240 --> 00:44:27.240
to test Jesus. So remember what's happening here. Jesus is rejoicing at the 72 and he

00:44:27.680 --> 00:44:33.000
who went out and cast out demons, he begins to say, oh God, you have revealed things to

00:44:33.000 --> 00:44:36.640
the children but you've hidden it from the wise and the intelligent. The lawyer then

00:44:36.640 --> 00:44:43.640
begins to test Jesus and his question is, who is my neighbor? Who is my neighbor is

00:44:45.600 --> 00:44:51.800
the polite way of saying, what are the limits? These are things we say guys. So let's just

00:44:51.800 --> 00:44:56.600
face up to it. When it comes to doing what we are suggesting the church should do, we

00:44:56.600 --> 00:45:00.680
should ask these questions too. Who is your neighbor is the same as saying, what are the

00:45:00.680 --> 00:45:07.680
limits? It is the same as saying, who is not deserving? It is the same as saying, can I

00:45:10.920 --> 00:45:17.920
rule out a neighbor till later? There may be reasons why these are valid questions but

00:45:17.920 --> 00:45:24.920
we need to face up to the fact that these are some of the questions we do ask. When

00:45:24.920 --> 00:45:31.920
it comes to hospitality, when it comes to doing things for the world, what are the limits?

00:45:33.560 --> 00:45:40.560
Who is not deserving? Can I rule out a neighbor till later? Till my heart is more prepared?

00:45:40.560 --> 00:45:47.560
And you might have valid reasons. This is a question that needs to be considered because

00:45:47.560 --> 00:45:54.560
that's exactly what this man is asking. He's asking who is my neighbor? And then Jesus

00:45:54.600 --> 00:46:01.600
begins his story. Now in most stories you would go from priest to Levite and the story

00:46:01.600 --> 00:46:07.400
would usually end saying and then an Israelite but Jesus doesn't go that way. He goes priest,

00:46:07.400 --> 00:46:14.400
Levite and instead of going Israelite he says Samaritan. Rabbis in those days used

00:46:16.800 --> 00:46:24.120
to say that there are three nations that I despise and they would name Mount Seir and

00:46:24.120 --> 00:46:28.520
the Philistines and then the third thing would be the nation of the Samaritans but they are

00:46:28.520 --> 00:46:33.880
not even a people. Breaking bread with a Samaritan is like eating pig. That's what rabbis used

00:46:33.880 --> 00:46:40.880
to say. And so Jesus deliberately sets up the story where you go priest, where you

00:46:40.920 --> 00:46:44.880
go Levite and they are so sure that the next thing he'll say is Israelite but instead of

00:46:44.880 --> 00:46:50.640
saying Israelite he says a Samaritan. He's doing everything possible to break these three

00:46:50.640 --> 00:46:57.640
questions we ask. We are talking about being planted in this city and the ones that we

00:46:58.640 --> 00:47:05.640
associate with, these parables that I've chosen are deliberate. Many of the things we are

00:47:09.080 --> 00:47:16.080
being asked to do is impossible. We are protective of our homes and we should be, of our wives

00:47:17.080 --> 00:47:24.080
and we should be, of our daughters and we should be, of our sons we should be, of being

00:47:24.080 --> 00:47:31.080
robbed we should be and yet we should not be because these limits have always stopped

00:47:38.160 --> 00:47:45.160
the church from going anywhere that has risk in it. Guys I don't want to teach this yeah.

00:47:54.560 --> 00:48:01.560
I prefer faith and stuff like that, walking on water. Just remember this, in your life

00:48:10.960 --> 00:48:17.960
tomorrow coincidences are opportunities but if I cross the line of faith and faith is

00:48:24.080 --> 00:48:31.080
over to the other side of the street the opportunity is lost. It will come again but

00:48:40.240 --> 00:48:47.240
an opportunity is lost. If you are not in faith and faith is lost, you are not in faith

00:48:54.080 --> 00:49:01.080
and it's impossible what we are being asked to do because there's this world that is dangerous,

00:49:07.400 --> 00:49:14.400
corrupt, exploitative, cruel, betrayal, false and then there is the world of the dead. And

00:49:24.200 --> 00:49:31.200
another world that's supposed to be full of mercy, willing to be taken advantage of, reviled

00:49:31.200 --> 00:49:38.200
while trusting God. Guys do you see the enormity of what Lot was doing? Lot was doing the same

00:50:01.200 --> 00:50:08.200
thing where Lot's house is surrounded and he's got the ones that had come to the square

00:50:08.400 --> 00:50:12.120
and he's taken them into their home, into his home. There's something that God does

00:50:12.120 --> 00:50:18.120
called protective hospitality. Protective hospitality is once someone comes into your

00:50:18.120 --> 00:50:25.120
home they are your, they are yours to be responsible for and it doesn't matter what happens even

00:50:25.760 --> 00:50:32.760
if you lose your life you will do everything in your power to keep them. Can you imagine

00:50:33.000 --> 00:50:40.000
if one or two of us had that attitude about Richmond what would happen? I don't. The ask

00:50:44.480 --> 00:50:50.600
is so ridiculous that it is God and only God can make this happen because it's another

00:50:50.640 --> 00:50:57.640
world that is bringing in Agape from another place into a place that does not have it.

00:51:05.440 --> 00:51:10.360
This is why kingdom is so much better if you can just keep it within the church. It's a

00:51:10.360 --> 00:51:16.880
pleasant place to live. But at no point did Jesus say that the kingdom was to stay within

00:51:16.880 --> 00:51:23.880
the church. The intent in every parable was the world is the field. You are seed. You

00:51:23.880 --> 00:51:30.880
are good seed. You are planted in the world and you are planted with tears, with bad fish,

00:51:34.080 --> 00:51:39.760
with things that are evil and you will not go destroying them because the time will come

00:51:39.760 --> 00:51:44.400
when the angels will be involved in the harvest and the separation of wheat and tears, sheep

00:51:44.400 --> 00:51:50.640
and goat, bad fish and good fish. But till then you will be planted in the midst of evil

00:51:50.640 --> 00:51:55.520
and yet where you are you begin to turn one life after the other, one life after the other

00:51:55.520 --> 00:52:01.200
which is how your life and my life was turned. I was a guy who would call believers, make

00:52:01.200 --> 00:52:07.640
them sit and question them about Christ drilling holes into their theology till they would

00:52:07.640 --> 00:52:14.640
cry because they would not be able to answer me. That was the evil generation that I was

00:52:14.760 --> 00:52:21.760
pretending to be but people would keep coming back, keep coming back, keep coming back.

00:52:26.360 --> 00:52:33.200
Remember this guy called Paul Daniel? I mean the stuff I've done to him but he'd keep following

00:52:33.200 --> 00:52:40.200
me. I mean at one point he started calling me the son of the devil but he did. He said,

00:52:41.720 --> 00:52:47.040
son of the devil, you won't even get the bread that falls off the table. Repent. So that

00:52:47.040 --> 00:52:52.000
didn't help much but I remember the first guy I went looking for once I gave my life

00:52:52.000 --> 00:52:59.000
to the Lord was him because my God he persisted for years.

00:53:03.200 --> 00:53:10.200
It is the arrival of you with a bit of agape that changes a person's life over the course

00:53:33.520 --> 00:53:40.520
two months, two days or two years because your mercy overcomes disparity, alienation,

00:53:55.440 --> 00:54:02.440
ancient barriers, demonic, evil, and evil. I remember the first guy I met was Paul Daniel

00:54:03.280 --> 00:54:10.280
who was the son of the devil. He had deep bondages, incongruency, all this ends.

00:54:15.080 --> 00:54:22.080
The person that I'm hoping to invite today is someone who is from a different religion,

00:54:22.200 --> 00:54:29.200
is perhaps gender fluid and comes from a very distraught background.

00:54:33.200 --> 00:54:38.360
And part of the reason I'm saying this to you is so that I have the boldness to go through

00:54:38.360 --> 00:54:41.640
with it.

00:54:41.640 --> 00:54:46.280
Because I would rather avoid it.

00:54:46.280 --> 00:54:56.920
But in doing so, I might get to a place where, full of mercy, I don't know where this came

00:54:56.920 --> 00:54:57.920
from.

00:54:57.920 --> 00:55:00.920
This is something else.

00:55:00.920 --> 00:55:15.280
The prodigal's father was moved with compassion, he runs to his son.

00:55:15.280 --> 00:55:18.520
Jesus was moved with compassion with the widow of Nain.

00:55:18.520 --> 00:55:22.440
He goes running to her, tells her not to weep, and begins to restore her.

00:55:22.440 --> 00:55:30.240
This idea of showing compassion, agape from another world, it will cause you to inhale

00:55:30.240 --> 00:55:36.120
risk and it will cause you to exhale time and resources, but in the process people's

00:55:36.120 --> 00:55:37.900
lives are changed.

00:55:37.900 --> 00:55:43.720
The in-breaking of agape from another world makes you inhale risk and exhale time and

00:55:43.720 --> 00:55:45.080
resources.

00:55:45.080 --> 00:55:52.720
The in-breaking of agape from another world makes you inhale risk and exhale time and

00:55:52.720 --> 00:55:57.000
resources.

00:55:57.000 --> 00:55:58.000
Someone wrote this, eh?

00:55:58.000 --> 00:56:07.560
The theme of look and act, the theme of look and act is to look and act.

00:56:07.560 --> 00:56:14.280
The theme of look and act is to look and act.

00:56:14.480 --> 00:56:17.480
We'll keep at this theme again and again and again.

00:56:17.480 --> 00:56:21.320
We'll just continuously keep pounding away.

00:56:21.320 --> 00:56:24.560
One of the things that we've learned in this church is you pound away at something for

00:56:24.560 --> 00:56:27.120
six months, we get it.

00:56:27.120 --> 00:56:30.720
Look and act, look and act, be aware, look and act, see where he's working, see that

00:56:30.720 --> 00:56:34.440
he's working every day in eight billion lives in every home, in every village, in every

00:56:34.440 --> 00:56:37.000
town, in every street in Richmond, he's already working.

00:56:37.000 --> 00:56:43.000
Discern it, enter into it, enter into it, look and act, look to see.

00:56:43.720 --> 00:57:07.400
The last parable is Matthew 24, Matthew 24, 45 onwards, Matthew 24, 45 onwards.

00:57:07.400 --> 00:57:12.160
Who then is the faithful and wise servant whom the master has put in charge of the servants

00:57:12.320 --> 00:57:15.320
in his household to give them their food at the proper time?

00:57:15.320 --> 00:57:19.320
It'll be good for the servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

00:57:19.320 --> 00:57:23.120
I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

00:57:23.120 --> 00:57:26.720
But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, my master is staying away a long

00:57:26.720 --> 00:57:31.760
time and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.

00:57:31.760 --> 00:57:35.440
The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him.

00:57:35.440 --> 00:57:37.200
At an hour he's not aware.

00:57:37.200 --> 00:57:40.880
He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites where they'll be

00:57:40.880 --> 00:57:43.240
weeping and gnashing of teeth.

00:57:43.240 --> 00:57:45.880
At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like this.

00:57:45.880 --> 00:57:49.400
Ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

00:57:49.400 --> 00:57:51.640
Five of them were foolish, five were wise.

00:57:51.640 --> 00:57:54.960
The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

00:57:54.960 --> 00:57:58.360
The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

00:57:58.360 --> 00:58:02.600
The bridegroom was a long time in coming and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

00:58:02.600 --> 00:58:06.300
At midnight the cry rang out, here's the bridegroom, come out to meet him.

00:58:06.300 --> 00:58:08.720
Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

00:58:08.720 --> 00:58:11.560
The foolish ones said to the wise, give us some of your oil.

00:58:11.560 --> 00:58:12.840
Our lamps are going out.

00:58:12.840 --> 00:58:15.480
No, they replied, there may not be enough for both of us.

00:58:15.480 --> 00:58:19.160
Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.

00:58:19.160 --> 00:58:22.320
But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived.

00:58:22.320 --> 00:58:26.360
The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet and the door was shut.

00:58:26.360 --> 00:58:29.880
Later the others also came, sir, sir, they said, open the door for us.

00:58:29.880 --> 00:58:32.200
But he replied, I tell you the truth, I don't know you.

00:58:32.200 --> 00:58:36.320
Therefore keep watch because you do not know the day or the hour.

00:58:36.320 --> 00:58:42.440
Guys, it's easy for circumstances to push the urgency of the kingdom to the edges.

00:58:42.440 --> 00:58:47.760
Our circumstances and our sometimes resources,

00:58:47.760 --> 00:58:50.920
sometimes our lack of time pushes the kingdom to the edge.

00:58:52.400 --> 00:58:54.520
And you know it is true for you and me.

00:58:54.520 --> 00:59:00.160
Where our circumstances, our resources and our time begin to push the kingdom to the edge.

00:59:00.160 --> 00:59:04.240
The kingdom is an afterthought after everything is taken care of.

00:59:04.240 --> 00:59:05.760
I know that sounds reasonable.

00:59:05.760 --> 00:59:08.880
I know that we have valid reason for that.

00:59:08.880 --> 00:59:11.920
But I'm saying to you that it is not the kingdom view.

00:59:16.120 --> 00:59:16.680
That's one thing.

00:59:16.680 --> 00:59:20.680
The second thing we found the parable is you must have an expectation

00:59:20.680 --> 00:59:23.520
that the king is going to turn up and do what he said he will.

00:59:25.480 --> 00:59:28.920
When a church does not have active expectation,

00:59:28.920 --> 00:59:32.280
the church is just functioning like an atheist.

00:59:33.520 --> 00:59:35.000
You function without believing.

00:59:35.000 --> 00:59:38.520
So my question is this, and you can ask this of me and you will find

00:59:38.520 --> 00:59:41.400
that one of the things that you can be sure of in my life is that

00:59:41.400 --> 00:59:43.840
when I know that God has said something and he will do it,

00:59:43.840 --> 00:59:46.920
it doesn't matter how long it takes, he will do it.

00:59:46.920 --> 00:59:51.440
And I've seen it over the last 20 years and I'll see it over the next 12, 13 years too.

00:59:51.440 --> 00:59:56.440
And if he says he will do it, then it does not matter how long you have to stay and wait

00:59:56.440 --> 01:00:00.960
because Jesus' schedule will not match yours, will not match yours.

01:00:00.960 --> 01:00:02.720
It's not even, it may match yours.

01:00:03.680 --> 01:00:07.680
I can assure you that because of reasons that only his wisdom knows

01:00:07.680 --> 01:00:11.400
and that he doesn't share with you, even when he says I will do this,

01:00:11.400 --> 01:00:14.160
sometimes it takes longer and it is okay.

01:00:17.320 --> 01:00:19.520
You know what this parable is saying?

01:00:19.520 --> 01:00:22.680
That the bridegroom will come, but he got delayed.

01:00:22.680 --> 01:00:26.520
And when he got delayed, you suddenly had two groups of people,

01:00:26.520 --> 01:00:30.680
five that would not flag in their zeal

01:00:30.720 --> 01:00:33.360
and five that decided it was okay.

01:00:35.760 --> 01:00:37.240
But he will turn up, eh?

01:00:38.400 --> 01:00:39.920
He will give us Richmond.

01:00:41.240 --> 01:00:44.040
This city was given to us more than one and a half years ago.

01:00:44.040 --> 01:00:46.720
The work that has been put in here, the money that has been spent

01:00:46.720 --> 01:00:50.400
have been at his demand and he will give us a city.

01:00:51.240 --> 01:00:53.680
There will be young people across the earth.

01:00:53.680 --> 01:00:57.800
That will be ones that experience Hebrides 2.0,

01:00:57.840 --> 01:01:02.320
where city after city or nation after nation, something will be ignited.

01:01:02.320 --> 01:01:06.240
I remember standing here and Derek was explaining what it means.

01:01:06.240 --> 01:01:11.760
Announce God's intent, ignite the fire, proclaim what then happens.

01:01:11.760 --> 01:01:14.280
That we will see.

01:01:16.400 --> 01:01:18.120
But here's the question.

01:01:18.120 --> 01:01:22.240
Across this room, and you've heard both these statements made in this church

01:01:22.240 --> 01:01:24.080
for the last three and a half or four years.

01:01:24.080 --> 01:01:26.240
Across this room, my question is this.

01:01:26.280 --> 01:01:28.680
Are you among the five wise or the five foolish?

01:01:29.680 --> 01:01:31.000
Straight question, eh?

01:01:34.240 --> 01:01:37.520
Have you flagged in your zeal when you don't see results?

01:01:37.520 --> 01:01:42.160
Or do you still have your wicks trimmed ready because you know?

01:01:43.840 --> 01:01:45.280
Rich Mullins wrote a song,

01:01:45.280 --> 01:01:48.880
My Deliverer is Coming, My Deliverer is Standing By.

01:01:51.040 --> 01:01:53.720
When he makes a promise, he knows how to keep it.

01:01:54.920 --> 01:01:55.920
Where are you at?

01:01:56.800 --> 01:02:01.320
This is a confrontational question I'm asking you.

01:02:01.320 --> 01:02:07.960
My intent is to cause offense and create a front, AFF, R-O-N-T.

01:02:07.960 --> 01:02:10.600
Where are you at with the promises given to this church?

01:02:12.240 --> 01:02:12.840
Where are you at?

01:02:12.840 --> 01:02:15.960
Five foolish virgins or five foolish bridesmaids?

01:02:18.040 --> 01:02:20.480
Or five wise bridesmaids?

01:02:26.240 --> 01:02:40.880
When we no longer expect God to act, we cease to watch for the in-breaking of God.

01:02:40.880 --> 01:02:44.280
We cease to discern where he is at work.

01:02:44.280 --> 01:02:45.320
We get cautious.

01:02:45.320 --> 01:02:50.280
We end up in drowsy faithfulness or predictable maintenance.

01:02:50.280 --> 01:02:51.400
Let me read that again.

01:02:51.400 --> 01:02:54.120
When we no longer expect God to act,

01:02:54.120 --> 01:02:56.600
we cease to watch for the in-breaking of God.

01:02:57.880 --> 01:03:01.440
We cease discerning where he is working.

01:03:01.440 --> 01:03:06.840
We get cautious and we end up in drowsy faithfulness or predictable maintenance.

01:03:11.520 --> 01:03:12.520
That's what will happen.

01:03:14.240 --> 01:03:18.600
And the number of times I will go and visit the promises of God given to this church,

01:03:18.600 --> 01:03:23.920
given to some of you, given to me, is so constant because I cannot afford to flag

01:03:23.920 --> 01:03:27.600
in the zeal that God gives us because let me tell you something.

01:03:28.400 --> 01:03:32.000
The only thing that accomplishes what God wants is the zeal of the Lord.

01:03:32.600 --> 01:03:34.840
And he is willing to clothe you in it.

01:03:38.600 --> 01:03:40.800
You read it throughout, Isaiah 37, 32.

01:03:41.160 --> 01:03:42.920
The zeal of the Lord will accomplish it.

01:03:42.920 --> 01:03:44.160
Isaiah 9, 7.

01:03:44.360 --> 01:03:46.080
The zeal of the Lord will accomplish it.

01:03:47.440 --> 01:03:51.840
Anything you want to finish on earth can only be finished with the zeal of God.

01:03:52.160 --> 01:03:57.000
Anything this church has been given that must be finished can only be finished by the zeal of God.

01:03:59.360 --> 01:04:02.480
And the zeal and the passion of God is brought to a people by the Spirit

01:04:03.360 --> 01:04:06.080
who is super passionate and super zealous.

01:04:06.520 --> 01:04:09.600
And the question is, now do I allow him to cloak me?

01:04:11.080 --> 01:04:15.360
Can I wear the cloak that he flings around himself in Isaiah 57?

01:04:15.840 --> 01:04:20.400
And when you do that, then he gives you two other things that are necessary to finish things.

01:04:20.560 --> 01:04:21.680
You know what those two things are?

01:04:22.000 --> 01:04:24.240
Patience and faith, endurance and faith.

01:04:24.560 --> 01:04:26.240
Hebrews 10, 35 and 36.

01:04:26.400 --> 01:04:27.920
Do not cast away your confidence.

01:04:28.760 --> 01:04:37.200
For it is only a matter of time where with patience and with faith, you will both get the promised outcome and the reward.

01:04:39.480 --> 01:04:40.520
That's how this works.

01:04:42.160 --> 01:04:44.080
James chapter 5, look at Job.

01:04:44.520 --> 01:04:47.280
He was patient, but he did get his reward.

01:04:47.280 --> 01:04:51.440
But to get to patience and faith, you have to get to the zeal of the Lord will accomplish this.

01:04:51.960 --> 01:04:55.320
It's strange, but zeal comes with faith and patience.

01:04:56.640 --> 01:04:58.040
One is immediacy.

01:04:58.120 --> 01:04:59.680
The other one is eventuality.

01:04:59.920 --> 01:05:06.120
But they both plow together so that you have what you asked for, even as you wait to see it realized.

01:05:06.960 --> 01:05:08.680
Mark 11, 20 to 23.

01:05:11.680 --> 01:05:14.280
Doesn't matter what it is, it's not a matter of time.

01:05:15.280 --> 01:05:25.920
Doesn't matter what it is, whether it's finishing your healing, whether it's finishing your expectations with regard to a promise given, this must work together.

01:05:32.280 --> 01:05:37.520
Because very often a church can be divided into five wise and five foolish guys.

01:05:37.520 --> 01:05:39.120
Jesus doesn't arrive on schedule.

01:05:42.280 --> 01:05:45.600
Hebrews 6, 12, faith and patience must work together in tandem.

01:05:48.240 --> 01:05:49.560
Jesus doesn't arrive on schedule.

01:05:49.560 --> 01:05:53.200
The one job of the bridesmaids was to wait for the coming of the groom.

01:05:54.280 --> 01:06:02.720
And when he comes to meet him and to light the way to the wedding banquet, the foolish bridesmaids sit in the middle of the room.

01:06:02.720 --> 01:06:05.200
To meet him and to light the way to the wedding banquet.

01:06:05.800 --> 01:06:10.000
The foolish bridesmaids slacked off unprepared for the groom's delay.

01:06:10.480 --> 01:06:12.160
You know how many people have paid the price?

01:06:12.320 --> 01:06:29.760
You know, one guy who paid big time for this, for slacking off, Saul, first king chosen by God, handpicked, head and shoulders above the rest, did not have the ability to wait.

01:06:29.760 --> 01:06:30.760
He was slacked off.

01:06:32.760 --> 01:06:33.760
Got scared.

01:06:33.760 --> 01:06:37.760
When you slack off, the pressure from man becomes tremendous.

01:06:37.760 --> 01:06:41.760
You begin to slack off in terms of your zeal with God.

01:06:41.760 --> 01:06:44.760
You will come under the tyranny of man.

01:06:45.760 --> 01:06:47.760
The fear of man will begin to cripple you.

01:06:49.760 --> 01:06:54.760
Because when zeal is absent, other things can begin to crowd in.

01:06:54.760 --> 01:06:59.760
What is oil in this story?

01:06:59.760 --> 01:07:01.760
Oil is the works of righteousness.

01:07:04.760 --> 01:07:07.760
We are lamps filled with the oil of good works.

01:07:07.760 --> 01:07:08.760
Matthew 5 16.

01:07:08.760 --> 01:07:10.760
Let them see your good works.

01:07:10.760 --> 01:07:12.760
Let your light so shine before men.

01:07:12.760 --> 01:07:15.760
Let them see your good works and glorify the father.

01:07:15.760 --> 01:07:17.760
We are lamps filled with the oil of good works.

01:07:17.760 --> 01:07:20.760
Formed in faith, shining bright.

01:07:21.760 --> 01:07:23.760
In in season, out of season.

01:07:24.760 --> 01:07:26.760
Lighting up the pathway to the royal banquet.

01:07:26.760 --> 01:07:28.760
So let me end with this.

01:07:28.760 --> 01:07:31.760
Oh, by the way, the oil of good works cannot be shared.

01:07:31.760 --> 01:07:32.760
It can be poured out.

01:07:32.760 --> 01:07:33.760
It cannot be shared.

01:07:34.760 --> 01:07:37.760
I can do good works and you can receive it because I pour it out.

01:07:37.760 --> 01:07:40.760
But you cannot share it because the good works are good works that I did.

01:07:41.760 --> 01:07:42.760
They could not share it.

01:07:50.760 --> 01:07:52.760
Brandon, does that thing work?

01:07:52.760 --> 01:07:55.760
OK, so I'll say this slowly.

01:07:56.760 --> 01:07:59.760
Here's what we need to do in the weeks ahead.

01:07:59.760 --> 01:08:00.760
Look to see.

01:08:02.760 --> 01:08:03.760
Look to see.

01:08:03.760 --> 01:08:05.760
Yeah, look to see.

01:08:05.760 --> 01:08:06.760
Look around.

01:08:06.760 --> 01:08:07.760
Look to see.

01:08:09.760 --> 01:08:12.760
First, people look to see people.

01:08:14.760 --> 01:08:17.760
Second, see him at work.

01:08:18.760 --> 01:08:19.760
See him.

01:08:20.760 --> 01:08:21.760
Look to see.

01:08:23.760 --> 01:08:26.760
Next, see him at work.

01:08:27.760 --> 01:08:28.760
Know where he's working.

01:08:28.760 --> 01:08:29.760
Be aware.

01:08:29.760 --> 01:08:31.760
See him at work.

01:08:33.760 --> 01:08:37.760
It helps you save time, use time and not waste time.

01:08:37.760 --> 01:08:39.760
See him at work.

01:08:39.760 --> 01:08:40.760
Next one.

01:08:40.760 --> 01:08:43.760
Work with wealth to make neighbors.

01:08:44.760 --> 01:08:47.760
Work with wealth to make neighbors.

01:08:48.760 --> 01:08:49.760
Look to see.

01:08:49.760 --> 01:08:50.760
Look to see.

01:08:51.760 --> 01:08:53.760
See him at work.

01:08:54.760 --> 01:08:59.760
Work with the wealth you have to make neighbors.

01:09:01.760 --> 01:09:02.760
Next one.

01:09:02.760 --> 01:09:04.760
Neighbors need kindness.

01:09:06.760 --> 01:09:08.760
Neighbors need kindness.

01:09:15.760 --> 01:09:17.760
Neighbors need kindness.

01:09:19.760 --> 01:09:22.760
Kindness is relentless in good works.

01:09:23.760 --> 01:09:25.760
Kindness is relentless.

01:09:25.760 --> 01:09:27.760
It doesn't get rejected.

01:09:27.760 --> 01:09:30.760
It doesn't take offense.

01:09:31.760 --> 01:09:33.760
Kindness is relentless in good works.

01:09:33.760 --> 01:09:36.760
He lets the sun shine on the good and the evil.

01:09:36.760 --> 01:09:38.760
He's kind to everybody.

01:09:38.760 --> 01:09:40.760
He's kind to animals.

01:09:40.760 --> 01:09:41.760
He's kind to people.

01:09:41.760 --> 01:09:43.760
He's kind to those that reject him.

01:09:43.760 --> 01:09:45.760
Can you imagine how he treated Judas?

01:09:46.760 --> 01:09:49.760
Kindness is relentless in good works.

01:09:49.760 --> 01:09:54.760
Good works reveal the goodness of the father.

01:09:55.760 --> 01:09:59.760
Good works reveal the goodness of the father.

01:10:07.760 --> 01:10:09.760
Let's go through that again.

01:10:10.760 --> 01:10:11.760
First one.

01:10:11.760 --> 01:10:12.760
Look to see.

01:10:14.760 --> 01:10:15.760
Look to see.

01:10:15.760 --> 01:10:16.760
What are we looking for?

01:10:17.760 --> 01:10:18.760
People.

01:10:18.760 --> 01:10:19.760
The world around us.

01:10:19.760 --> 01:10:20.760
Look to see.

01:10:20.760 --> 01:10:24.760
Proverbs talks about even looking to see how you treat animals.

01:10:25.760 --> 01:10:26.760
Look to see.

01:10:26.760 --> 01:10:28.760
So don't focus on animals.

01:10:29.760 --> 01:10:31.760
They're nice but they're not...

01:10:32.760 --> 01:10:33.760
Yeah, let's not go there.

01:10:33.760 --> 01:10:35.760
Look to see.

01:10:35.760 --> 01:10:39.760
I'm scared because sometimes if we say animals, we may just focus on animals.

01:10:39.760 --> 01:10:41.760
And we don't want to do that.

01:10:41.760 --> 01:10:42.760
Yeah.

01:10:42.760 --> 01:10:44.760
So look to see.

01:10:45.760 --> 01:10:47.760
See him at work.

01:10:51.760 --> 01:10:56.760
Work with the wealth you have to make neighbors.

01:10:59.760 --> 01:11:02.760
Neighbors need kindness.

01:11:02.760 --> 01:11:07.760
Kindness must be relentless in good works.

01:11:09.760 --> 01:11:13.760
Good works reveal the goodness of the father.

01:11:16.760 --> 01:11:17.760
Come on, man.

01:11:17.760 --> 01:11:18.760
This is doable.

01:11:20.760 --> 01:11:21.760
Okay, one last time.

01:11:22.760 --> 01:11:23.760
Look to see.

01:11:25.760 --> 01:11:27.760
We're looking at people in the world around us.

01:11:27.760 --> 01:11:28.760
Look to see.

01:11:28.760 --> 01:11:30.760
See him at work.

01:11:30.760 --> 01:11:31.760
In those lives, eh?

01:11:32.760 --> 01:11:33.760
You'll see it, guys.

01:11:33.760 --> 01:11:34.760
You'll be walking and you'll see.

01:11:34.760 --> 01:11:38.760
And you'll realize that perhaps all that person needs is...

01:11:38.760 --> 01:11:40.760
I know this sounds so...

01:11:41.760 --> 01:11:43.760
Like all a person may need is a smile.

01:11:43.760 --> 01:11:45.760
At other times it might be money.

01:11:45.760 --> 01:11:48.760
At other times it might be, hey.

01:11:49.760 --> 01:11:50.760
It just changes.

01:11:50.760 --> 01:11:53.760
It's so much more than just a smile.

01:11:53.760 --> 01:11:55.760
It's so much more than just a smile.

01:11:56.760 --> 01:11:57.760
It just changes.

01:11:57.760 --> 01:12:00.760
It's so much fun to know what is happening.

01:12:01.760 --> 01:12:03.760
They even don't know it, but you know what is happening.

01:12:03.760 --> 01:12:07.760
And that in a matter of eight seconds you have to do something.

01:12:07.760 --> 01:12:09.760
And you'll get better at it.

01:12:12.760 --> 01:12:13.760
Look to see.

01:12:13.760 --> 01:12:14.760
See him work.

01:12:15.760 --> 01:12:20.760
Work with your wealth to make neighbors.

01:12:20.760 --> 01:12:22.760
Neighbors need kindness.

01:12:23.760 --> 01:12:27.760
Kindness has to be relentless in good works.

01:12:28.760 --> 01:12:30.760
Good works reveal the father.

01:12:30.760 --> 01:12:31.760
Because this time I'm not saying it.

01:12:31.760 --> 01:12:32.760
You can't look at your notes.

01:12:32.760 --> 01:12:33.760
Let's give it a go.

01:12:35.760 --> 01:12:36.760
Can't look at your notes.

01:12:37.760 --> 01:12:38.760
I can't hear you.

01:12:39.760 --> 01:12:40.760
Aha.

01:12:42.760 --> 01:12:43.760
Look to see after that.

01:12:45.760 --> 01:12:46.760
James, you got it wrong.

01:12:46.760 --> 01:12:47.760
You're mumbling something else.

01:12:49.760 --> 01:12:51.760
Oh, you're adding people.

01:12:51.760 --> 01:12:54.760
Okay, if I catch someone getting it wrong, we have to go all over again.

01:12:54.760 --> 01:12:56.760
So starting again on three.

01:12:56.760 --> 01:12:57.760
One, two, three.

01:12:57.760 --> 01:12:59.760
Look to see.

01:12:59.760 --> 01:13:01.760
See him work.

01:13:01.760 --> 01:13:03.760
Work with your wealth to make neighbors.

01:13:04.760 --> 01:13:05.760
Together, together.

01:13:05.760 --> 01:13:06.760
We've got to start again.

01:13:06.760 --> 01:13:07.760
Come on, guys.

01:13:07.760 --> 01:13:08.760
Okay, last time.

01:13:08.760 --> 01:13:10.760
One, two, three.

01:13:10.760 --> 01:13:12.760
Look to see.

01:13:12.760 --> 01:13:14.760
See him work.

01:13:14.760 --> 01:13:16.760
Kindness is relentless in good works.

01:13:23.760 --> 01:13:25.760
Okay, we are done.

01:13:26.760 --> 01:13:29.760
Tunny, do you have anything that has all these lines in your song?

01:13:33.760 --> 01:13:34.760
Okay.

01:13:34.760 --> 01:13:35.760
Okay.

01:13:35.760 --> 01:13:36.760
Okay.

01:13:36.760 --> 01:13:37.760
Okay.

01:13:37.760 --> 01:13:38.760
Okay.

01:13:38.760 --> 01:13:39.760
Okay.

01:13:39.760 --> 01:13:40.760
Okay.

01:13:40.760 --> 01:13:41.760
Okay.

01:13:41.760 --> 01:13:42.760
Okay.

01:13:42.760 --> 01:13:43.760
Okay.

01:13:43.760 --> 01:13:44.760
Okay.

01:13:44.760 --> 01:13:45.760
Okay.

01:13:45.760 --> 01:13:46.760
Okay.

01:13:46.760 --> 01:13:47.760
Okay.

01:13:47.760 --> 01:13:48.760
Okay.

01:13:48.760 --> 01:13:49.760
Okay.

01:13:49.760 --> 01:13:50.760
Okay.

01:13:50.760 --> 01:13:51.760
Okay.

01:13:51.760 --> 01:13:52.760
Okay.

01:13:52.760 --> 01:14:03.760
The only song that I can think of is Touched by a Fire, but are there any songs that talk

01:14:03.760 --> 01:14:09.760
about all these things?

01:14:09.760 --> 01:14:13.760
Holly Parton had a few songs about friends and stuff like that, but I can't think of anything.
