00:03:50.900 --> 00:03:53.900 Okay, that's on the side. 00:03:59.100 --> 00:04:03.500 So we were talking about the kingdom and we'll be stuck in the kingdom for a while. 00:04:03.500 --> 00:04:07.180 And I'm so looking forward to being stuck in the kingdom. 00:04:07.180 --> 00:04:12.740 So today we talk about, so what's the gospel of the kingdom or the good news of the kingdom? 00:04:12.740 --> 00:04:16.440 The Bible talks about that often so today we'll go down that route. 00:04:16.440 --> 00:04:20.640 So let's begin by defining the kingdom. 00:04:20.640 --> 00:04:24.480 We've done this before but every time we define it, it gets better. 00:04:24.480 --> 00:04:42.240 So the kingdom is the rule, the control, the influence of the king. 00:04:42.240 --> 00:04:52.440 Over his domain. 00:04:52.440 --> 00:04:54.040 The rule, the control, the influence. 00:04:54.040 --> 00:04:58.680 So when we say rulership or kingship, we don't understand it because most of us have lived 00:04:58.680 --> 00:05:01.520 in democratic nations most of our life. 00:05:01.520 --> 00:05:03.840 So trying to define rulership or kingship. 00:05:03.840 --> 00:05:10.640 And one of the ways to define it is his rule, his control, his influence. 00:05:11.640 --> 00:05:14.240 It's not, I lived in Bahrain for a while. 00:05:14.240 --> 00:05:17.440 Bahrain has a king. 00:05:17.440 --> 00:05:19.840 And it's very different from here. 00:05:19.840 --> 00:05:27.440 Like right now, the rule in Bahrain is if you're not fully vaccinated, you cannot go 00:05:27.440 --> 00:05:31.640 to restaurants, you cannot enter government buildings, you cannot attend church that is 00:05:31.640 --> 00:05:33.040 held in a hotel. 00:05:33.040 --> 00:05:33.840 You cannot. 00:05:33.840 --> 00:05:36.140 There's no question of you saying no to it. 00:05:36.140 --> 00:05:40.440 That's the way it is because it's a kingdom. 00:05:40.440 --> 00:05:44.840 Let's just pray because surprisingly this thing is hard to understand and is usually 00:05:44.840 --> 00:05:45.440 hidden. 00:05:45.440 --> 00:05:49.440 Jesus had to spend parable after parable after parable trying to explain kingdom. 00:05:49.440 --> 00:05:53.240 After all these years, we don't have a decent understanding of it. 00:05:53.240 --> 00:05:57.040 There's a dullness when it comes to kingdom. 00:05:57.040 --> 00:06:02.840 It's not, it's a dullness that is external that is sometimes forced upon us. 00:06:02.840 --> 00:06:04.640 For whatever reason, we don't grasp it. 00:06:04.640 --> 00:06:08.440 And I think it's important because this is something Jesus talked about quite often. 00:06:08.640 --> 00:06:10.640 So let's just pray for us. 00:06:10.640 --> 00:06:14.240 Father, we want to understand kingdom. 00:06:14.240 --> 00:06:18.640 And I want to acknowledge that there is a dullness about it in our hearts. 00:06:18.640 --> 00:06:23.840 We've been talking about this for years, but then it becomes a teaching that is then 00:06:23.840 --> 00:06:28.240 shelved because there are other important things that we run after. 00:06:28.240 --> 00:06:33.840 But this time around as we explore king and kingdom and the series that we are on, I just 00:06:33.840 --> 00:06:37.040 pray that you would sharpen our minds and our spirits. 00:06:37.040 --> 00:06:42.040 Our spirits to receive our minds to understand and our hearts to then begin to walk in it. 00:06:42.040 --> 00:06:47.040 Oh God, we need this because this was something you so emphasized. 00:06:47.040 --> 00:06:48.440 We have kind of lost. 00:06:48.440 --> 00:06:50.640 We've lost the plot on this one, Father. 00:06:53.040 --> 00:06:58.040 So Holy Spirit, would you quicken our minds, hearts, spirits? 00:06:58.040 --> 00:07:00.040 Would you open our eyes? 00:07:00.040 --> 00:07:01.440 I ask for all of us. 00:07:01.440 --> 00:07:02.240 I ask for me. 00:07:02.240 --> 00:07:08.240 I don't want just understanding. 00:07:08.240 --> 00:07:12.840 I want to be able to know it like I know certain other things about you. 00:07:12.840 --> 00:07:14.240 I know your fatherhood quite well. 00:07:14.240 --> 00:07:15.640 I'd like to know this too. 00:07:19.240 --> 00:07:26.640 So Spirit of God, as Paul prays in Ephesians 1, open the eyes of our hearts and minds. 00:07:26.640 --> 00:07:33.440 Quicken our spirits so that we may grasp the enormity of what you said in Jesus' name. 00:07:33.440 --> 00:07:36.640 And I rebuke and drive away dullness. 00:07:36.640 --> 00:07:38.040 It's an external dullness. 00:07:38.040 --> 00:07:42.840 It's a devilish dullness that prevents the church from understanding kingdom and I break 00:07:42.840 --> 00:07:46.840 its strength upon us in Jesus Christ's name. 00:07:46.840 --> 00:07:48.440 Amen. 00:07:48.440 --> 00:07:49.040 Yeah. 00:07:49.040 --> 00:07:55.440 So the rule, the control, the influence of the king over his domain and in God's case, 00:07:55.440 --> 00:07:59.040 his domain is Psalm 24, 1. 00:07:59.040 --> 00:08:03.640 The earth and its fullness thereof belongs to God. 00:08:03.640 --> 00:08:09.440 So when it comes to this king that we are talking about, his domain, domain is basically 00:08:09.440 --> 00:08:15.640 the extent of his rule, the extent of his rule. 00:08:15.640 --> 00:08:17.240 That's what domain means. 00:08:17.240 --> 00:08:21.240 And the word kingdom is basically the king's domain. 00:08:21.240 --> 00:08:23.040 That's what it means. 00:08:23.040 --> 00:08:29.240 And so you take that off and you connect it and it becomes kingdom. 00:08:29.240 --> 00:08:30.440 So the king's domain. 00:08:30.440 --> 00:08:37.840 In the case of Jesus Christ, the extent of his rule is Psalm 24, 1, where it extends 00:08:37.840 --> 00:08:44.440 beyond anybody else's domain, the entire universe is his domain. 00:08:44.440 --> 00:08:47.240 And so no king is wealthier than the king of heaven. 00:08:47.240 --> 00:08:49.440 He owns everything everywhere. 00:08:49.640 --> 00:08:53.040 In the natural, in the spiritual spheres, he owns everything everywhere. 00:08:53.040 --> 00:08:56.440 These are things we don't comprehend because our minds can't fully understand it. 00:08:56.440 --> 00:08:58.040 But imagine this. 00:08:58.040 --> 00:09:02.640 This king owns everything everywhere in this supernatural realm, in the spiritual realm, 00:09:02.640 --> 00:09:03.840 in the physical realm. 00:09:03.840 --> 00:09:10.840 He owns seed, soil, birds, plants, animals, people, and everything is in his domain, everything. 00:09:14.440 --> 00:09:18.240 And there is no wealthier king than this king. 00:09:18.240 --> 00:09:21.240 No king is wealthier than the king of heaven. 00:09:21.240 --> 00:09:23.240 He owns everything everywhere. 00:09:24.440 --> 00:09:29.040 It just so happens that he's righteous, he's benevolent, he's generous. 00:09:29.040 --> 00:09:31.640 He's righteous, he's benevolent, he's generous. 00:09:31.640 --> 00:09:34.240 Guys, don't forget these things. 00:09:34.240 --> 00:09:37.640 He's righteous, he's benevolent, he's generous. 00:09:37.640 --> 00:09:40.040 He's righteous as in his ways are right. 00:09:40.040 --> 00:09:42.440 He's benevolent as in he's kind. 00:09:42.440 --> 00:09:48.440 And he's generous as in his kindness shows in his distribution of his wealth. 00:09:52.040 --> 00:09:54.440 We need to live in a place called... 00:09:57.440 --> 00:10:01.440 We aren't aiming at plenty, we aren't aiming at lack. 00:10:04.440 --> 00:10:08.440 Solomon said it this way in Proverbs 30 verse 9, 00:10:08.440 --> 00:10:13.440 Don't make me so rich that I forget you, don't make me so poor that I steal. 00:10:13.440 --> 00:10:17.440 We live in a place called sufficiency. 00:10:17.440 --> 00:10:19.440 That's where most Christians live. 00:10:19.440 --> 00:10:24.440 And I'd suggest there's a better place than that called all sufficiency. 00:10:24.440 --> 00:10:29.440 And when you live in all sufficiency, you don't just have enough for yourself, 00:10:29.440 --> 00:10:34.440 you have enough to give those that have plenty, and you have enough to give those that have lack. 00:10:35.440 --> 00:10:42.440 Question is, was Jesus a blessed man? 00:10:44.440 --> 00:10:46.440 And your answer is? 00:10:46.440 --> 00:10:51.440 So, you say yes, and when you think of Jesus as a blessed man, 00:10:51.440 --> 00:10:54.440 you do not think of him as wealthy or filthy rich. 00:10:54.440 --> 00:10:58.440 And yet your response when I asked the question, was Jesus a blessed man? 00:10:58.440 --> 00:10:59.440 Yes. 00:10:59.440 --> 00:11:02.440 But today if you ask Christians what a blessed man is, 00:11:02.440 --> 00:11:05.440 you're always connected to prosperity. 00:11:05.440 --> 00:11:08.440 Yet when you talk about Jesus and you ask the question, was he a blessed man? 00:11:08.440 --> 00:11:09.440 You say, yes, why? 00:11:09.440 --> 00:11:12.440 Because Jesus lived in a place called all sufficiency. 00:11:12.440 --> 00:11:18.440 And he lived there because he knew he had a father who was all sufficent. 00:11:18.440 --> 00:11:24.440 Learn to live here and learn to understand that if God deals with you the same way he deals with Jesus, 00:11:24.440 --> 00:11:35.440 that it is possible to live a blessed life that is all sufficent and can supply people when they have lack 00:11:35.440 --> 00:11:37.440 and supply people when there's plenty. 00:11:37.440 --> 00:11:40.440 The problem with living in sufficiency is you are taken care of. 00:11:40.440 --> 00:11:45.440 The great thing about living in all sufficiency is you are taken care of and you take care of others. 00:11:45.440 --> 00:11:50.440 And it is because you're deeply rooted in someone called the all sufficent one. 00:11:51.440 --> 00:11:57.440 Never not think that being in Christ will not be a place of blessing. 00:11:57.440 --> 00:12:01.440 If you are in Christ, you must be blessed. 00:12:01.440 --> 00:12:05.440 If you are in Christ, it is impossible not to be blessed. 00:12:05.440 --> 00:12:09.440 It is impossible to be in Christ and not be blessed. 00:12:11.440 --> 00:12:14.440 It is impossible to be in Christ and not be blessed. 00:12:15.440 --> 00:12:18.440 It is impossible to be in Christ and not be blessed. 00:12:18.440 --> 00:12:23.380 blessed. We do not believe this fully because otherwise we'd be shouting at 00:12:23.380 --> 00:12:29.720 least whispering Amen by now. It is impossible to be in Christ and not be 00:12:29.720 --> 00:12:35.640 blessed. Amen is a good place to start. 00:12:38.080 --> 00:12:45.960 But because we connect blessed to money it screws up everything. But blessed is 00:12:45.960 --> 00:12:52.400 sufficiency. Blessed is all sufficiency. All sufficiency in every area. We're not 00:12:52.400 --> 00:13:00.760 talking just about wealth, peace, joy, wants, needs, provision, healing, strength, 00:13:00.760 --> 00:13:07.200 sight, hearing, direction. That is what you call all sufficiency. Who wants to 00:13:07.200 --> 00:13:11.400 have wealth here without health? Who wants to have wealth and health here 00:13:11.400 --> 00:13:16.920 without direction? Who wants wealth, health and sufficiency without hearing 00:13:16.920 --> 00:13:20.360 the voice of God and His presence? Who wants it? We're not talking about that. 00:13:20.360 --> 00:13:25.240 We're talking about all sufficiency. There is something about being in Christ 00:13:25.240 --> 00:13:29.920 that makes us very distinct and if we don't think like this we don't inhabit 00:13:29.920 --> 00:13:34.480 it. Remember guys this is I know I've said it a million times perhaps you only 00:13:34.680 --> 00:13:44.760 inhabit what you think. Why does one inhabit fear? Because one thinks fear. You 00:13:44.760 --> 00:13:55.840 only inhabit what you think. And we think a certain way by repeating a thought 00:13:55.840 --> 00:14:02.360 many times. How do you get to a place of fear? By continuously visiting the 00:14:02.360 --> 00:14:06.960 thought of fear. Visit it again and again and again. How do you visit a place 00:14:06.960 --> 00:14:10.720 of shame? By going back to your past and thinking of a place of shame. How do you 00:14:10.720 --> 00:14:14.240 visit a place of anger? By going back to a place in your past where it can provoke 00:14:14.240 --> 00:14:18.720 you to anger. How do you visit this place of all sufficiency? By going to the 00:14:18.720 --> 00:14:23.520 all-sufficient one who is giving you statements to sellah to ponder on during 00:14:23.520 --> 00:14:29.880 the week. Saying think like this guys think like this. God deals with you the 00:14:29.880 --> 00:14:41.800 same way he deals with Jesus. Any questions? Abundance? Oh yeah it's part of 00:14:41.800 --> 00:14:48.400 it but I'm so scared of connecting blessedness to abundance because that 00:14:48.400 --> 00:14:52.520 then warps the whole thing when it should be a part of the whole thing. It is not the main definition because my all sufficiencies 00:14:59.080 --> 00:15:05.360 should supply anyone who has plenty and anyone who has lack in any area. Joy, love, 00:15:05.360 --> 00:15:11.320 peace, prosperity, healing, sickness, whatever it be I should be able to supply. 00:15:11.320 --> 00:15:14.720 All sufficiency allows you to supply. Sufficiency takes care of yourself. 00:15:14.720 --> 00:15:20.120 Christians have to move from sufficiency to all sufficiency. You can't quantify. 00:15:20.120 --> 00:15:25.240 Yeah. I mean how do you quantify someone who's inexhaustible in this? All 00:15:25.240 --> 00:15:33.480 sufficient immediately means... sufficient means just enough. All 00:15:33.480 --> 00:15:40.080 sufficient is a whole different term man. He is called the all-sufficient one. 00:15:55.240 --> 00:16:10.320 Yeah yeah which is so great so let's assume Diana lives in a part of the 00:16:10.320 --> 00:16:13.600 world where she has nothing and May lives in a part of the world where she 00:16:13.600 --> 00:16:18.920 has everything and I am God. Okay so now because she understands all sufficiency 00:16:18.920 --> 00:16:22.720 she is able to take of the all-sufficient one and supply it to the 00:16:22.720 --> 00:16:31.360 one who has lack. By the one who has understood it coming and sharing it with 00:16:31.360 --> 00:16:47.880 you. How? Why? Yes. Yes. By learning this principle of all sufficiency. This is 00:16:47.880 --> 00:16:52.240 what Jesus would teach in Israel. Look at what he says. Man this is such an old 00:16:52.240 --> 00:16:57.240 principle. In the book of Exodus he says doesn't matter whether you 00:16:57.240 --> 00:17:01.160 collect six baskets or whether you collect one basket. At the end of the 00:17:01.160 --> 00:17:09.040 day there'll be enough manna for everybody. And if yeah and sometimes you 00:17:09.040 --> 00:17:12.960 can know Jesus and not know this truth. One of the things we have to do is teach 00:17:12.960 --> 00:17:18.120 people that whether you live in India, North Korea or Vancouver it is possible. 00:17:18.120 --> 00:17:23.280 It is possible. And guys who are learning this truth are finding out that 00:17:23.280 --> 00:17:28.760 without Western help. I mean there's a pastor I ask every week can I send you 00:17:28.760 --> 00:17:34.200 some money can I send you some money? No. Why? Because he learned it. Now what does 00:17:34.200 --> 00:17:38.600 he do? He distributes it. Last week I asked him can I send you some money? He 00:17:38.600 --> 00:17:40.680 said no and then two days later he called and said you can send it to this 00:17:40.680 --> 00:17:50.360 person. While he is learning it, May must supply her need. While Diana is learning 00:17:50.360 --> 00:17:55.480 it May should supply her need. 2nd Corinthians 9 then borrows from Exodus 00:17:55.480 --> 00:18:00.600 and puts it this way. I pray that your present plenty will supply someone 00:18:00.600 --> 00:18:06.600 else's lack so that neither the one who has much nor the one who has little will 00:18:06.600 --> 00:18:10.920 have a problem because we will share equitably. I do not look towards my sufficiency. I look towards the all 00:19:20.200 --> 00:19:24.200 sufficient one and I become a conduit. The moment you look at your sufficiency 00:19:24.200 --> 00:19:29.400 know that there will be a limit on how much you will distribute. Or there will be 00:19:29.400 --> 00:19:33.480 a time where you will say once I get to this level I will distribute. Whatever 00:19:33.480 --> 00:19:45.640 it be peace, love, money, joy, comfort, goods, spiritual gifts you will you will 00:19:45.640 --> 00:19:49.320 wait till you get to a level where you have enough before you supply. I come 00:19:49.320 --> 00:19:55.160 against that in my life. That may I never wait to have enough before I supply 00:19:55.400 --> 00:20:01.800 because that is exactly how philanthropy in the world works. I refuse that. I come 00:20:01.800 --> 00:20:07.000 from a better kingdom which does not wait for things to be stable before they 00:20:07.000 --> 00:20:12.520 distribute. There's something wrong with that. And that is difficult because he's not showing the 00:21:48.280 --> 00:21:52.360 gratitude that he should and now my heart becomes resentful against him. Second thing is there are some people that if you supply to they 00:22:01.000 --> 00:22:05.080 do not learn how to provide for themselves.
