Coral Court Motel St. Louis Unisex Retro T-shirt – Bygone Brand Tees

In the 1940s, millions of Americans cruised Route 66 as they traveled around the country. And in the St. Louis area, one of their favorite stops was the Coral Court Motel, an art deco masterpiece of yellow brick and glass blocks, where guests had their own garage attached to their room. Thanks to the ability to hide one's car, the Coral Court Motel quickly gained a reputation as an ideal spot for an illicit rendezvous. At its peak, the motel offered 77 rooms to weary travelers, but when the new Interstate 44 passed the Coral Court by, check-ins dropped off and the motel eventually closed in 1993. While it has since been razed, one of the iconic brick buildings was saved, and a portion of it stands in a St. Louis museum. • 52% combed and ring-spun cotton 48% polyester • Fabric weight: 4.2 oz/yd² (142 g/m²) • Pre-shrunk fabric • Side-seamed construction • Shoulder-to-shoulder taping • Blank product sourced from Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico, Honduras, or the US This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you.
