FULL DISCLOSURE PART 1--I've NEVER liked this design! FULL DISCLOSURE PART 2--Part 1 has NEVER interfered with how popular this shirt has been! When this design first became available in 2002 from one of our favorite printers, it was the only decent Moon Phase shirt available so we added it to our "Wall of Shirts", even though it was WRONG! They did a fine job on the printing but screwed up one major science design element...on this shirt, the cycle begins with the Full Moon when, in fact, the Lunar Cycle begins with the New Moon...that's what makes it NEW! I figured we wouldn't carry (or sell) this design for too long before something better came along. Then a funny thing happened...overnight, it became one of our best selling shirts, in spite of me pointing out the error to any and all who would listen. I didn't want folks returning their shirt as defective. Every single Astronomer I pointed this out to agreed with me but then added a variation on "SO WHAT? It is still a nice design!" I can see why it was produced this way...if you start the cycle with New Moon, that sort of leaves a blank spot at the beginning and end, which would look bad, but still...it's WRONG! A year later when one of our OTHER favorite printers released HIS Moon Phases design (Please see ebay listing # 113874654534), we didn't have any room to carry it because this one sold so well...right up until 2013 when this design was retired. That is when we switched over to our OTHER design. Then, all of a sudden, in early 2019, this design suddenly became available again. With a full supply of the other design, we reordered this one in minimal numbers, since its replacement was as strong a seller as this original one. So, what happened at our first two conferences where we had both? In most cases, folks (and Teachers) couldn't decide which they liked better so most who bought one...also bought the other. So, for now, we have 2 to choose from!IMPORTANT PHOTO NOTE: As much as I try to always show the colors correctly, the actual Moons on this shirt refused to cooperate! Printed with glow-in-the-dark ink, they should appear more as a greenish tinted yellow, like most of your basic glow designs, NOT like a sort of off-white as shown.
