00:03:29.980 --> 00:03:35.540 Our role is to announce it, because everything God does must be announced, and then to do 00:03:35.540 --> 00:03:42.540 what is in our power and at any cost to initiate it, as in get it ignited. 00:03:44.900 --> 00:03:48.340 Once you ignite you can hand the torch over to people, if you hand a torch that's not 00:03:48.340 --> 00:03:50.380 ignited they don't know what to do. 00:03:50.380 --> 00:03:51.660 How do we do this? 00:08:09.520 --> 00:08:13.200 Judges chapter 2 verse 10, how do you forget in one generation? 00:08:13.200 --> 00:08:16.360 Therefore it must be passed on. 00:08:16.360 --> 00:08:23.360 In Psalm 48 verse 12, Psalm 48 verse 12, it says, hey, you guys need to go and count the 00:08:23.360 --> 00:08:30.360 ramparts of the fort that I have built. 00:08:31.480 --> 00:08:38.480 Go around Jerusalem, look at how it is built so that you can tell the next generation. 00:08:38.880 --> 00:08:45.880 Psalm 48 verse 12, Psalm 48 verse 12, Psalm 48 verse 12, walk about Zion, go around and 00:08:53.360 --> 00:08:57.360 number her towers, consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels that you may tell 00:08:57.360 --> 00:09:01.640 the next generation that this is our God, our God forever and ever and he will guide 00:09:01.640 --> 00:09:02.480 us forever. 00:09:02.480 --> 00:09:05.200 It's important. 00:09:05.200 --> 00:09:12.200 And then the third scripture that comes to mind is Psalm 45, Psalm 45 verse 16. 00:09:12.600 --> 00:09:16.520 It says, children, sons will stand in the place of their fathers. 00:09:16.520 --> 00:09:20.320 Sons will stand in the place of their fathers, meaning the ones that are younger must replace 00:09:20.320 --> 00:09:24.160 the ones that are older. 00:09:24.160 --> 00:09:27.920 But how can they replace the older if they haven't been prepared for? 00:10:11.580 --> 00:10:13.120 Why would nations come to the kingdom? 00:10:13.120 --> 00:10:15.280 Aren't the nations really having fun? 00:10:15.280 --> 00:10:16.960 Aren't they more attractive? 00:10:16.960 --> 00:10:22.200 Didn't Satan offer Jesus in Luke chapter 4 the kingdoms of the world? 00:10:22.200 --> 00:10:25.400 So why would nations come to the kingdom? 00:10:25.400 --> 00:10:27.280 We pray that nations should come to the kingdom. 00:10:27.280 --> 00:10:30.960 Why would the young abandon what they have to join the kingdom? 00:10:30.960 --> 00:10:34.280 What good reason is there? 00:10:34.280 --> 00:10:40.280 And so we go to Isaiah 60, Isaiah 60 verse 3. 00:10:40.280 --> 00:10:43.520 We look at some of the reasons that God says the nations will come to the kingdom. 00:10:44.280 --> 00:10:47.120 And those are the reasons that we'll have to stick by. 00:10:47.120 --> 00:10:51.280 Isaiah 60, starting at verse 1 to verse 3. 00:10:51.280 --> 00:10:52.480 And I know you know the scripture well. 00:10:52.480 --> 00:10:57.920 Isaiah 60, it says, arise shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen 00:10:57.920 --> 00:10:58.960 upon you. 00:10:58.960 --> 00:11:02.080 For behold, darkness shall cover the earth and thick darkness of peoples. 00:11:02.080 --> 00:11:05.560 But the Lord will arise upon you and his glory will be seen upon you. 00:11:05.560 --> 00:11:09.680 And the nations shall come to your light and kinks to the brightness of your rising. 00:11:09.680 --> 00:11:16.520 The nations, let's just call it a nation of young men and women, will only come to 00:11:16.520 --> 00:11:21.440 the kingdom because they see that there is glory that has risen upon you. 00:11:21.440 --> 00:11:25.040 Now we'll examine what it even means to have glory that has risen upon you. 00:11:25.040 --> 00:11:27.120 Because Isaiah is talking from the past. 00:11:27.120 --> 00:11:30.880 He's talking about a time when glory hasn't descended yet. 00:11:30.880 --> 00:11:32.320 We are not where Isaiah is. 00:11:32.320 --> 00:11:33.480 Isaiah is prophesying. 00:11:33.480 --> 00:11:38.760 We don't need to stand in that prophecy because that prophecy has come to pass. 00:11:38.760 --> 00:11:44.000 The nations do not come to the kingdom if there is nothing risen upon the people of 00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:45.000 the kingdom. 00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:52.840 God says the nations will come when they will see the glory of God upon the people of the 00:11:52.840 --> 00:11:53.840 kingdom. 00:11:53.840 --> 00:11:58.280 I will talk about what that looks like and how to guard it. 00:11:58.280 --> 00:12:06.960 Any questions on that one? 00:12:16.040 --> 00:12:17.880 It doesn't matter how many times we define it. 00:12:17.880 --> 00:12:24.120 It is such an archaic word that we never use that we keep having to define it. 00:12:24.120 --> 00:12:29.700 Glory, otherwise called kabod, in Hebrew, or otherwise called doxa, there are other 00:12:29.700 --> 00:12:30.960 words for it too. 00:12:31.960 --> 00:12:52.120 The glory of the Lord is the weight, the splendor, the presence, the laughter, the power, the 00:12:52.120 --> 00:13:10.720 goodness, the majesty of God wrapped into one word. 00:13:10.720 --> 00:13:35.720 And that is what a light upon dwells in, emanates out of him and whoever he dwells in. 00:13:35.720 --> 00:13:39.240 This is the truth, whether you like it or not, whether you accept it or not, whether 00:13:39.240 --> 00:13:46.560 you're practicing it or not, whether you believe it or not, this is the truth. 00:13:46.560 --> 00:13:51.040 What word are you trying to figure out? 00:15:06.600 --> 00:15:07.600 The expectation of what? 00:15:07.600 --> 00:15:08.600 The ex... 00:15:08.600 --> 00:15:13.600 Christ in you, the hope of glory, again, is an archaic term, so let's simplify it. 00:15:13.600 --> 00:15:16.200 Christ in you, the expectation. 00:15:16.200 --> 00:15:17.600 Hope means expectation. 00:15:17.600 --> 00:15:20.040 Christ in you, the expectation of what? 00:15:20.040 --> 00:15:23.200 The expectation of the weight, the splendor, the presence, the laughter, the power, the 00:15:23.200 --> 00:15:27.200 goodness, the majesty of God in me. 00:15:27.200 --> 00:15:29.200 This is my expectation. 00:15:29.200 --> 00:15:35.200 Unfortunately, because it's not my expectation, I do not subscribe to it, experience it, display 00:15:35.200 --> 00:15:44.200 it, but if it was my expectation, it would begin to show. 00:15:44.200 --> 00:15:47.200 I have status with Air Canada because I fly a lot. 00:15:47.200 --> 00:15:49.200 I have expectations. 00:15:49.200 --> 00:15:52.200 I have expectations that if I go up to the counter and ask for something, it will be 00:15:52.200 --> 00:15:56.200 given to me and it will not be given to you. 00:15:56.200 --> 00:15:59.200 There's an expectation that comes with status. 00:15:59.200 --> 00:16:03.200 There is status here. 00:16:03.200 --> 00:16:07.200 Whether I use it or not is up to me, but it is present. 00:16:07.200 --> 00:16:09.200 These are benefits. 00:16:09.200 --> 00:16:14.200 These are the benefits of presence. 00:16:14.200 --> 00:16:20.200 And as I become aware of my status, it is easier for God to do what he wants to do. 00:16:20.200 --> 00:16:23.200 So it's never an absence of this. 00:16:23.200 --> 00:16:27.200 The great thing about everything in Christianity is we are not trying to obtain it. 00:16:27.200 --> 00:16:32.200 We are trying to display it. 00:16:32.200 --> 00:16:36.200 Because everything in Christianity is contained in one person and his name is Christ. 00:16:36.200 --> 00:16:40.200 And that Christ dwells in me. 00:16:40.200 --> 00:16:42.200 Therefore, I have nothing I have to obtain. 00:16:42.200 --> 00:16:44.200 I don't have to climb a mountain to get to him. 00:16:44.200 --> 00:16:47.200 I don't have to go to the depths of the earth to get to him. 00:16:47.200 --> 00:16:57.200 You see it again in Revelation 21, verse 24. 00:16:57.200 --> 00:16:59.200 Revelation 21, 24. 00:16:59.200 --> 00:17:00.200 What are we talking about? 00:17:00.200 --> 00:17:03.200 We are talking about why would the nations come to the kingdom? 00:17:03.200 --> 00:17:07.200 Revelation 21, verse 24. 00:17:07.200 --> 00:17:12.200 Guys, Kamal and Ann may suddenly get up at 1 o'clock and leave. 00:17:12.200 --> 00:17:14.200 If they do, do not make them feel awkward. 00:17:14.200 --> 00:17:15.200 Do not look at them. 00:17:15.200 --> 00:17:17.200 Let them leave quietly. 00:17:17.200 --> 00:17:19.200 Because they have to go to the airport to pick up somebody. 00:17:19.200 --> 00:17:22.200 So just let them leave quietly. 00:17:22.200 --> 00:17:30.200 Don't worry, Ann, I took care of it. 00:17:30.200 --> 00:17:32.200 Why would the nations come to the kingdom?
