00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:29.000
So, Ray and Anu's son John was sick this week and I believe had to go to the hospital

00:00:29.000 --> 00:00:36.000
and the doctors had said that he would be there for five to six days and the churches

00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:41.000
were praying, the pursuit was praying, other people were praying. Their words were half

00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:47.000
the church was praying, and so let's assume we are the half. And so the church was praying

00:00:47.000 --> 00:00:54.000
and his creatine level rose to 120, which is why they said he would have to be in the

00:00:55.000 --> 00:01:00.000
hospital for five or six days. And then he was discharged a day later because they have

00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:07.000
never seen his creatine level fall from 122 to 82. It has never happened for John before.

00:01:07.000 --> 00:01:14.000
And so that is pretty incredible. Like in the past when we prayed for him it has fallen

00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:20.000
by 10, so it would go from 120 to 110 and sometimes two points and so it is excruciatingly

00:01:20.000 --> 00:01:27.000
slow. But for a child who is supposed to be in hospital for six days, for the levels to

00:01:27.000 --> 00:01:34.000
fall from 122 to 80 is phenomenal. So that is unusual and if it is unusual it is God.

00:01:35.000 --> 00:01:42.000
It was in medicine. So that is pretty amazing. So that is one announcement. The second announcement

00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:48.000
was sent to me by someone, I won't mention his name, but he is sitting to the left of

00:01:48.000 --> 00:01:55.000
me and he said, I am not looking at him, he sent me a text saying could we get an announcement

00:01:55.000 --> 00:02:02.000
to remind people to clean up after themselves and their kids and if they notice things lying

00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:07.000
around. So there are three requests he makes. One, that they clean up after themselves,

00:02:07.000 --> 00:02:13.000
they clean up after their kids and they notice things lying around. It has been, and then

00:02:13.000 --> 00:02:18.000
he continues and I am not looking at him, it has been getting sloppy lately with things

00:02:18.000 --> 00:02:24.000
left everywhere and then almost like a compromise he says, you don't have to announce this today,

00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:41.000
it could be another week. Yeah. So, oh he is gone? Okay, so, yeah, so that is an announcement

00:02:42.000 --> 00:02:51.000
from someone who was on my left and then are there any folks here for the first time? I

00:02:51.000 --> 00:02:56.000
didn't know you were Janelle's sister but I found out Christabel was Janelle's sister

00:02:56.000 --> 00:03:05.000
so if you haven't said hi to her, say hi to her and yeah, I don't think there is anyone

00:03:05.000 --> 00:03:12.000
else new, right? Okay. Okay, so let's go. We are continuing with what we started off

00:03:13.000 --> 00:03:23.000
last week and the first part will be a recap. So we were talking about glory and we said

00:03:23.000 --> 00:03:29.000
the word glory can't be separated from Christ so we have to think of it as the glory of

00:03:29.000 --> 00:03:35.000
Christ. If you separate it then what happens is we think of glory as a thing. Hey, are

00:03:35.000 --> 00:03:42.000
you guys here for the first time? Yes? We were introducing people who came here for

00:03:42.000 --> 00:03:50.000
the first time. What are your names? Sorry, you walked in and it looks like, and you?

00:03:50.000 --> 00:04:15.000
XT. Nice. Guys, Carton and XT. Okay, who brought you here? Ah, okay, cool, you are welcome.

00:04:15.000 --> 00:04:22.000
Yeah, so we were talking about how do you, when you talk about glory you can't separate

00:04:22.000 --> 00:04:28.000
glory from Christ because if you separate glory from Christ then glory becomes an it.

00:04:28.000 --> 00:04:36.000
Why? We have to keep them together. The glory of Christ. That's how we talked about it last

00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:42.000
time and so here is a recap. And today we talk about the nature of Christ in us. So

00:04:42.000 --> 00:04:49.000
Hebrews 1.3 says Christ is the radiance of the glory of God. Christ is the radiance of

00:04:49.000 --> 00:04:54.000
the glory of God. The exact imprint of his nature and he is seated at the right hand

00:04:54.000 --> 00:05:01.000
of the majesty on high. This is just a recap from last week. What is glory? The moment

00:05:01.000 --> 00:05:06.000
we think of the word glory we have to think of it as it is the glory of a person. It is

00:05:06.000 --> 00:05:16.000
the glory of Christ. Next, Hebrews 1.3 says glory is the radiance of God seen in Christ.

00:05:16.000 --> 00:05:21.000
The radiance of God. And then it goes on to define it further. It says glory is the exact

00:05:21.000 --> 00:05:28.000
imprint of the nature of God expressed through Christ. And then it goes on to say Christ

00:05:28.000 --> 00:05:32.000
who is glorious is seated at the right hand of the majesty on high. That's just in one

00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:38.000
verse, eh? Hebrews 1.3. In 1 Peter 4.14 we find out that the Holy Spirit is called the

00:05:38.000 --> 00:05:44.000
spirit of glory. And so when we in the New Testament talk about Shekinah or glory or

00:05:44.000 --> 00:05:53.000
doxa or kabod, what we really mean is the spirit of God bringing to us the radiance

00:05:53.000 --> 00:06:01.000
and the exact nature of Christ in our midst. And so right now as we are talking he is present.

00:06:01.000 --> 00:06:11.000
And it's critical that we take these moments to capture his presence. So at this very moment

00:06:11.000 --> 00:06:16.000
the spirit of God who was there before the earth was created, I know I keep saying this

00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:22.000
again and again, is to just have holy imagination that when there was nothing, when it was chaotic,

00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:28.000
when it was dark, the same spirit of God who hovered over the entire chaos and created

00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:34.000
the universe is here right now. And he brings to us the glory or the radiance of Christ

00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:44.000
and the exact imprint of his nature right now in our midst. And he is here. And in him

00:06:44.000 --> 00:06:54.000
being here Christ now is here. One of the things he loves to do, and we know this from

00:06:54.000 --> 00:07:01.000
Revelation 1, he loves to walk amongst the lampstand. He's not sitting here on a throne

00:07:01.000 --> 00:07:06.000
saying, worship me. He loves walking amongst the lampstands. Walking is a favorite thing

00:07:06.000 --> 00:07:13.000
of his. He didn't give me that nature of his, but he used to do it in Genesis chapter 3

00:07:13.000 --> 00:07:18.000
where he would come walking in the cool of the evening. You go to Revelation and he's

00:07:18.000 --> 00:07:30.000
walking amongst the lampstands. And he's walking here too. Because like it or not, he likes

00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:39.000
you as much as he likes Jesus Christ, his son. So why would he not walk with you? And

00:07:39.000 --> 00:07:44.000
then we talked about glory and how. This glory of Christ, let's not separate the two words,

00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:49.000
let's keep them together till we get so used to it that we never think of glory as an it

00:07:49.000 --> 00:07:58.000
or a what, but a who and a him. This glory of Christ fills the earth. Habakkuk 2.14 talks

00:07:58.000 --> 00:08:03.000
about it. It's revealed in the gospels. Why would the gospels reveal the glory of Christ?

00:08:03.000 --> 00:08:16.000
John 1.14, it says that Christ dwelt among us and we saw the glory of the only Son and

00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:21.000
he was full of grace and truth. The word was with us. The word became flesh and the word dwelt

00:08:21.000 --> 00:08:29.000
among us and we saw his glory and he was full of truth and grace. And so every time someone reads

00:08:29.000 --> 00:08:35.000
the gospels, the glory of Christ is revealed. Never hesitate to help people read the gospels

00:08:35.000 --> 00:08:42.000
because in the gospels, Jesus is revealed and Jesus is the visible radiance and the exact imprint

00:08:42.000 --> 00:08:50.000
of the nature of God. Next, nature proclaims his glory. Psalm 19.1 that, oh God, your creation

00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:57.000
continuously speaks day and night. It's like they have speech and they declare glory. Then in the

00:08:57.000 --> 00:09:04.000
church, his glory is manifest. 2 Corinthians 3.18, where the Spirit of God is, there is liberty

00:09:04.000 --> 00:09:11.000
and the Spirit of God is here. And what does he do? He transforms us from glory to glory as we

00:09:11.000 --> 00:09:17.000
behold him. Behold who? One of the things we need to understand that even as I'm talking what Christ

00:09:17.000 --> 00:09:23.000
would love to do, what the Spirit of God would love to do is to show you Christ. Show you Christ in

00:09:23.000 --> 00:09:28.000
the scriptures. Show you Christ in the teaching. The last thing he wants is attention paid to the

00:09:28.000 --> 00:09:36.000
teacher. What he wants is attention paid to the words that come from the teacher. And with those

00:09:36.000 --> 00:09:43.000
words, one of the things the Spirit loves doing is helping each of us behold Christ. And so as a

00:09:43.000 --> 00:09:50.000
teacher, if you ever teach, your intent should be, can I with my words make my hearers behold

00:09:50.000 --> 00:09:57.000
Christ? And for that, whoever teaches needs the Spirit of God. Without the Spirit of God, these

00:09:57.000 --> 00:10:05.000
are just words that do nothing. And so even as you're hearing, if you want, here's the crazy thing,

00:10:05.000 --> 00:10:14.000
whether you believe in Christ or not, if you want, the Spirit of God can show you who Jesus is even

00:10:14.000 --> 00:10:26.000
while I'm talking. And then lastly, Jesus displays his glory through wonders like taking a boy who's

00:10:26.000 --> 00:10:34.000
less than two years old and bringing his creatine levels down from 122 to 80. That is a wonder if it

00:10:34.000 --> 00:10:40.000
was your child and you had taken him to hospital at least 16 times in the last two years and you find

00:10:40.000 --> 00:10:46.000
these things falling by two points or eight points and then you go in one night and you come out and

00:10:46.000 --> 00:10:56.000
you realize that it's fallen 40 points. That is a wonder. That is a sign. And he displays his nature

00:10:56.000 --> 00:11:08.000
through his signs. We talked about all this last time. And so one of the things we said after that

00:11:08.000 --> 00:11:15.000
is, who is he that is present with us here? And why is he so majestic, so brilliant, so splendid, so

00:11:15.000 --> 00:11:24.000
magnificent? But before we go there, we said that it exists on four levels. So the glory of Christ is

00:11:24.000 --> 00:11:31.000
in heaven. Revelations four and five talk about it. The glory of Christ is here on earth. Habakkuk 2.14

00:11:31.000 --> 00:11:40.000
talks about it. The glory of Christ is in me. 1 Corinthians 3.16 talks about it. Colossians 1.27

00:11:40.000 --> 00:11:47.000
talks about it. I'm just recapping. And the glory of Christ is in our midst. 1 Corinthians 6.19

00:11:47.000 --> 00:11:55.000
talks about it. So the brilliance of Christ, the substance of Christ, the weight of Christ, the person

00:11:55.000 --> 00:12:03.000
of Christ, the nature of Christ exists in all four planes at the same time. We're not used to this,

00:12:03.000 --> 00:12:10.000
guys. The need to recap things like this is so that we get so familiar with the fact that at this present

00:12:10.000 --> 00:12:17.000
moment, his splendor, his brilliance, his nature, his person exists at the same time in four different

00:12:17.000 --> 00:12:27.000
places. In me, in his fullness, in us, in his fullness, in heaven, invisible fullness on earth, in his

00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:40.000
fullness. The only difference with heaven is it's his visible fullness. That's just nuts. That's how he

00:12:40.000 --> 00:12:51.000
exists. And so right now, in our midst, he exists in his invisible fullness. And so how do you increase in an

00:12:51.000 --> 00:12:56.000
awareness of it? How do you increase in an awareness of anything? There are four things that make us increase in the

00:12:56.000 --> 00:13:03.000
awareness of something. If you love something, you'll become aware of it. If you practice noticing it, you'll become

00:13:03.000 --> 00:13:11.000
aware of it. If you read more, understand more, grow in the knowledge of it, you will become aware of it. And the

00:13:11.000 --> 00:13:19.000
last one with Christ is if you are sensitive to the Spirit, you'll become aware of it. These are the four ways we become

00:13:19.000 --> 00:13:28.000
aware of anything, in life in general. So how can I become aware of the glory of Christ because it exists on all these

00:13:28.000 --> 00:13:35.000
four planes? I'm continuously surrounded by it. Anywhere I go. We talked about this last week. David said, where can I go from

00:13:35.000 --> 00:13:41.000
your presence? If I take the wings of the morning, you're there. If I go and hide myself and chill, you're there. There's

00:13:41.000 --> 00:13:49.000
nobody, there's nowhere I can escape from you. How do we become aware of his presence? Because again, saying what I said

00:13:49.000 --> 00:13:56.000
last week, we are often like Jacob in Genesis 28 verse 13 or 14 where he said, God is in this place and I did not even

00:13:56.000 --> 00:14:04.000
know it. And instead, how do we become aware of it? We become aware by falling in love with this person. And when you fall in

00:14:04.000 --> 00:14:10.000
love with him, you become aware of him. One of the ways we fall in love as the corporate body is sometimes during worship where you

00:14:10.000 --> 00:14:20.000
realize, oh my God, you're here and you care for me. But that aside, through conversations and so on, falling in love,

00:14:20.000 --> 00:14:30.000
practicing, continuously practicing. Guys, every time you're not aware of him, all that means is you get a second start. Let's assume

00:14:30.000 --> 00:14:39.000
that for the next two hours, I'm not aware of him. Two hours later, 120 minutes later, 70 to 100 seconds later, I can start afresh.

00:14:39.000 --> 00:14:49.000
How long may I last? Maybe 120 seconds. But that's 120 seconds more than yesterday. It's only a matter of time.

00:14:49.000 --> 00:14:52.000
It's only a matter of time.

00:14:53.000 --> 00:14:59.000
Where you begin to live in the awareness of him and to be living in the awareness of him, your problems change, your attitude

00:14:59.000 --> 00:15:03.000
change, your nature changes. We'll talk about that today.

00:15:03.000 --> 00:15:10.000
Third one is knowledge, increase in the knowledge of him. This teaching is supposed to help us increase in the knowledge of him.

00:15:10.000 --> 00:15:19.000
And finally, sensitivity to the spirit, to be sensitive to the spirit. The sensitivity to the spirit is not an on and off switch.

00:15:20.000 --> 00:15:29.000
You can't suddenly become sensitive to your wife. You become sensitive to your wife if you like her on a constant basis. You get sensitive to what she needs

00:15:29.000 --> 00:15:39.000
and what she thinks, even when she doesn't speak. It's not an on and off switch. So being sensitive to the spirit comes out of walking with the people

00:15:39.000 --> 00:15:48.000
of the spirit, walking with the spirit and walking with the word. Three things. If you want to be sensitive to the spirit, you have to walk with the people of the spirit.

00:15:51.000 --> 00:15:57.000
Living in isolation, you can live together alone. You know that.

00:15:57.000 --> 00:16:07.000
Walking with the people of God, walking with the word, walking by the spirit. Three ways to become sensitive to the spirit.

00:16:07.000 --> 00:16:15.000
And then the next bit was asking this question about who is in the room right now.

00:16:15.000 --> 00:16:27.000
Who is he that is present with us? Why is he so majestic, so brilliant, so splendid, so magnificent? Who is he who is right now in our midst?

00:16:35.000 --> 00:16:39.000
Who is this one that you and I are right now aware of?

00:16:39.000 --> 00:16:42.000
Who is this one that you and I are right now aware of?

00:16:46.000 --> 00:16:49.000
Why is he so overpowering?

00:16:52.000 --> 00:17:01.000
Then we began to answer it because the one who is in our midst right now is the conquering king and the lord of Revelation 19.

00:17:01.000 --> 00:17:11.000
He is always triumphant. He is always victorious. He is mighty and he has never been defeated.

00:17:13.000 --> 00:17:24.000
He is impossibly true. You can't measure how true he is, how straight he is, how perfect he is, how holy he is.

00:17:24.000 --> 00:17:36.000
How holy he is in everything, in the way he thinks. He is so true, in the way he feels, in the way he judges, in the way he decides, in the way he says things, in the way he does things.

00:17:36.000 --> 00:17:44.000
He is so true. He is so true. So straight. Impossible.

00:17:44.000 --> 00:18:00.000
Who is he? Who is he who is here right now? He is mystery. He is majesty. He is creator. He is full of light. He is mystery.

00:18:00.000 --> 00:18:10.000
Don't understand him fully. Can't even comprehend these few lines. He is mystery. He is majesty. He lives in majesty.

00:18:10.000 --> 00:18:18.000
The word king comes because of who he is. It's not a word that had to be put on him. It is a word that came out of him.

00:18:19.000 --> 00:18:37.000
He is the one that we are in the presence of. He is creator. He is full of light. He is perfection. He is excellence. He is infinite and he is unending.

00:18:37.000 --> 00:18:53.000
He is unending. If you went up him, you would never get to the end of him. His greatness, his fame, his praise, his reputation, his dominion, his power, his honor is unsurpassed.

00:18:53.000 --> 00:19:06.000
Nobody can hold a candle to it. I love the next one. He is kind. He is good. He is kind. He is good.

00:19:07.000 --> 00:19:24.000
He is gentle. He is meek. He is forgiving. He is loyal. He is unpredictably faithful. He has never been anything else. He is kind.

00:19:24.000 --> 00:19:39.000
He is kind. The one who is in this room is kind. He is good. These words originated because he exists. He is kind. He is good. He is gentle. He is meek. He is forgiving. He is loyal. He is faithful.

00:19:39.000 --> 00:19:55.000
He is faithful and he has never been anything else. He is also Yahweh. He is the ancient of days. He is the lamb of God. He is the lion of Judah. He is the bridegroom. He is the king of kings and the lord of lords.

00:19:55.000 --> 00:20:14.000
He actually has a robe in Revelation 19 that has that written on him. He is just. Right now, here, he is just. He is all-knowing. He is super-fair. Everything he does is so full of equity and fairness.

00:20:14.000 --> 00:20:26.000
He is generous. Like ridiculously generous. All these words exist because he is. He is merciful. Super merciful and he is sacrificial.

00:20:26.000 --> 00:20:38.000
Then we go on to the song we sang. The second song we sang. He paid with his blood for me, for us, for Richmond, for nations, for creation. This is the one who is in our midst right now.

00:20:38.000 --> 00:20:54.000
I don't think I'll ever get tired of going over this list, guys. I want to go over this list so often that it becomes such a natural thing for me to inhale and exhale him who is in me, him who is in our midst, him who is in heaven and him who is on earth.

00:20:54.000 --> 00:21:14.000
His presence is here and it is supernatural. And as you go over this again and again, you begin to realize, ah shucks, this is a real person and he is here. His presence is here and it's supernatural with signs, with miracles, with healings, with wonders, with power and compassion.

00:21:14.000 --> 00:21:30.000
Power and compassion always go together, right? When it comes to God, power does not exist on its own. How do you know whether the nature of the Father is being exhibited through preachers, teachers, evangelists, apostles, prophets when they are on stage?

00:21:30.000 --> 00:21:39.000
How do you know whether the nature of God is being exhibited with them, through them, when their signs and wonders break out? Look for compassion. Don't look for power.

00:21:39.000 --> 00:21:59.000
When power exists without compassion, it is not really God and one must begin to question why it still exists.

00:21:59.000 --> 00:22:14.000
He is the author and the source and the origin of wisdom, of creativity, of beauty, of oneness, of laughter, of joy. He is the author, the source and the origin of laughter and joy.

00:22:14.000 --> 00:22:29.000
He is the author, the source and the origin of laughter and joy, of wisdom, of creativity, of beauty, of oneness. He is protective. He is present right now. He is jealous.

00:22:29.000 --> 00:22:46.000
He is a dread to his enemies and darkness flees from his presence. His words give life, his words form, his words sustain creation, his words split the earth.

00:22:46.000 --> 00:22:56.000
I know that took a long time to get through, but as you begin to go over it again and again, you realize that this is who is here right now.

00:22:56.000 --> 00:23:07.000
This is who is in me right now. This is who is in heaven right now. And this is who is pressing down on the earth right now.

00:23:07.000 --> 00:23:25.000
Where can you go from his presence? Our work now is to become aware of him. How can I be unkind, not good, or hurtful to someone?

00:23:25.000 --> 00:23:43.000
How can I be deceitful, corrupt, untrustworthy once I get to know him? How can I be unforgiving, proud, unfaithful, disloyal once he becomes embedded in the very soul of my being?

00:23:43.000 --> 00:23:53.000
How? It changes you. The more aware you become of him, the less you are of yourself.

00:23:53.000 --> 00:24:00.000
What is it to be God conscious? It's very simple. To be God conscious is to be less aware of you and more aware of him. That's all.

00:24:00.000 --> 00:24:07.000
What does it mean to be conscious of his presence? Very simple. Less aware of you, more aware of him. That's it.

00:24:07.000 --> 00:24:17.000
That's a very simple definition. A boy, do you and I need to change and become more like him.

00:24:17.000 --> 00:24:29.000
He's here. This is who we worship. We bow with the angels and the elders in adoration and worship to him who is glorious in our midst.

00:24:29.000 --> 00:24:57.000
Oh come, let us adore him. Oh come, let us adore him. Oh come, let us adore him Christ the Lord.

00:24:57.000 --> 00:25:24.000
Oh come, let us adore him. Oh come, let us adore him. Oh come, let us adore him Christ the Lord.

00:25:24.000 --> 00:25:52.000
For he alone is worthy.

00:25:52.000 --> 00:25:55.000
We give him all the glory. In any way this is.

00:25:55.000 --> 00:26:19.000
We give you all the glory. We give you all the glory. We give you all the glory.

00:26:19.000 --> 00:26:38.000
We Christ the Lord. We acknowledge you Jesus.

00:26:38.000 --> 00:26:46.000
Meek, gentle, jealous.

00:26:46.000 --> 00:27:02.000
Brilliant.

00:27:02.000 --> 00:27:13.000
You tower over us right now.

00:27:13.000 --> 00:27:30.000
You are gathering us.

00:27:30.000 --> 00:27:52.000
Highest praises Lord of all.

00:27:52.000 --> 00:28:06.000
Be enthroned upon the praises of a thousand generations. You are worthy Lord of all.

00:28:06.000 --> 00:28:28.000
Unto you the slain and risen King. We lift our voice to heaven singing worthy Lord of all.

00:28:28.000 --> 00:28:45.000
And I stand, I stand in awe of you. I stand, I stand in awe of you.

00:28:45.000 --> 00:29:12.000
Holy God to whom all praise is due. I stand in awe of you.

00:29:12.000 --> 00:29:15.000
Just sing one more and then we can go back to the teaching.

00:29:15.000 --> 00:29:35.000
Jesus we enthrone you. We proclaim you our King. Standing here in the midst.

00:29:35.000 --> 00:29:50.000
We raise you up with our praise. One more time Jesus. Jesus we enthrone you.

00:29:50.000 --> 00:30:10.000
We proclaim you our King. Standing here in the midst of us. We raise you up with our praise.

00:30:10.000 --> 00:30:25.000
And as we worship build your throne. And as we worship build your throne.

00:30:25.000 --> 00:30:40.000
And as we worship build your throne. Come Lord Jesus and take your place.

00:30:40.000 --> 00:30:49.000
So we honor you Jesus. You here in your glory which is the exact imprint of your nature and your radiance you are here.

00:30:49.000 --> 00:31:00.000
We are going to become a people that becomes so aware of you. Here on earth you are just pressing upon believers upon unbelievers.

00:31:00.000 --> 00:31:08.000
So that you can reveal yourself to them. You are in us. You are in me. You are here. We just sang standing here in the midst of us.

00:31:08.000 --> 00:31:18.000
Have you also catched glimpses of heaven in me? Thank you. They are drawing us deeper. Oh God this is so rich.

00:31:18.000 --> 00:31:36.000
How do physical visible people so tangibly feel an invisible God? By the spirit right? By the spirit.

00:31:36.000 --> 00:31:43.000
That was the recap so let's go on to what we want to talk about today.

00:31:43.000 --> 00:31:57.000
So let's go to John 14 20. Look at her handwriting yeah. Look at my handwriting yeah. Nice yeah. Never complain again.

00:31:57.000 --> 00:32:03.000
She might be slightly smarter.

00:32:03.000 --> 00:32:10.000
Now I know Aaron why when she gives you a list to go shopping you get only two things and come back home.

00:32:10.000 --> 00:32:16.000
I was blaming you all. I was blaming you all this time. Now I know.

00:32:16.000 --> 00:32:22.000
Okay.

00:32:22.000 --> 00:32:28.000
John 14 verse 20. That's what we look at today.

00:32:28.000 --> 00:32:32.000
John 14 20 and here's what it says. It says.

00:32:32.000 --> 00:32:41.000
When I it says on that day on which day on the day that he rises. So basically when I rise. Jesus is saying.

00:32:41.000 --> 00:32:46.000
You will know.

00:32:46.000 --> 00:32:56.000
That I am in the fact that you will know that I am in the Father.

00:32:56.000 --> 00:33:01.000
You in me.

00:33:01.000 --> 00:33:07.000
And I in you. That's what we look at today.

00:33:07.000 --> 00:33:12.000
When I rise on that day as in when I rise you will know that I am in the Father.

00:33:12.000 --> 00:33:16.000
You and me and I in you. So let's take the first bit.

00:33:16.000 --> 00:33:19.000
He is in the Father. Why is he saying that?

00:33:19.000 --> 00:33:22.000
Well there might be many reasons why he's saying that.

00:33:22.000 --> 00:33:26.000
One of the things that really stands out is he's trying to say to us. Listen.

00:33:26.000 --> 00:33:30.000
The mutual indwelling.

00:33:30.000 --> 00:33:33.000
The mutual indwelling. I love this.

00:33:33.000 --> 00:33:38.000
The mutual indwelling that I have.

00:33:38.000 --> 00:33:42.000
With the Father.

00:33:42.000 --> 00:33:47.000
Is exactly.

00:33:47.000 --> 00:33:54.000
The same kind of that dwelling.

00:33:54.000 --> 00:34:05.000
I have with you. He's almost trying to establish a type.

00:34:05.000 --> 00:34:07.000
That's what he's trying to establish here among other things.

00:34:07.000 --> 00:34:10.000
This is one of the main things that he wants to establish.

00:34:10.000 --> 00:34:13.000
Like he's saying listen I am the ascended Christ.

00:34:13.000 --> 00:34:16.000
My Father and I.

00:34:16.000 --> 00:34:19.000
We are mutually indwelling. We are one.

00:34:19.000 --> 00:34:22.000
Mutually indwelling.

00:34:22.000 --> 00:34:27.000
At one point earlier on in John 10 he says I and the Father are one.

00:34:27.000 --> 00:34:30.000
It's the kind of indwelling that is so intense.

00:34:30.000 --> 00:34:35.000
That it is even deeper than a baby in a mother's womb.

00:34:35.000 --> 00:34:37.000
And in saying that he's saying listen.

00:34:37.000 --> 00:34:42.000
The mutual indwelling that I the Christ have with God the Father.

00:34:42.000 --> 00:34:46.000
Is the same mutual indwelling that I have with you.

00:34:46.000 --> 00:34:48.000
It's just unimaginable.

00:34:48.000 --> 00:34:50.000
Many of these things are unimaginable.

00:34:50.000 --> 00:34:52.000
But our spirits can get it.

00:34:52.000 --> 00:34:54.000
And our minds can begin to work it slowly.

00:34:54.000 --> 00:34:56.000
Through holy imagination.

00:34:56.000 --> 00:34:58.000
And through the study of the word.

00:34:58.000 --> 00:35:00.000
It is so intense.

00:35:00.000 --> 00:35:07.000
So inseparable.

00:35:07.000 --> 00:35:09.000
That's the kind of indwelling.

00:35:09.000 --> 00:35:11.000
That he has with you.

00:35:11.000 --> 00:35:14.000
The kind of indwelling that he has with the Father.

00:35:14.000 --> 00:35:17.000
It makes us a completely different species.

00:35:17.000 --> 00:35:18.000
Literally.

00:35:18.000 --> 00:35:19.000
Yes homo sapiens.

00:35:19.000 --> 00:35:20.000
But here's the thing.

00:35:20.000 --> 00:35:23.000
We have the God the creator of the universe.

00:35:23.000 --> 00:35:25.000
Actually living in us.

00:35:25.000 --> 00:35:34.000
In such a way that we are inseparable from him.

00:35:34.000 --> 00:35:37.000
Romans 8 what can separate us.

00:35:37.000 --> 00:35:38.000
It's impossible.

00:35:38.000 --> 00:35:40.000
Can you separate God and Jesus.

00:35:40.000 --> 00:35:41.000
The Father and the Son.

00:35:41.000 --> 00:35:43.000
No you can't.

00:35:43.000 --> 00:35:47.000
You can't separate me from Christ.

00:35:47.000 --> 00:35:48.000
It's a mutual indwelling.

00:35:48.000 --> 00:35:51.000
He decides it.

00:35:51.000 --> 00:35:55.000
Guys relationship is not up to you.

00:35:55.000 --> 00:35:59.000
Relationship was established by the cross and by the blood.

00:35:59.000 --> 00:36:01.000
Presence is not up to you.

00:36:01.000 --> 00:36:04.000
Presence was established by the cross and by the blood.

00:36:04.000 --> 00:36:06.000
And by the spirit.

00:36:06.000 --> 00:36:07.000
You can choose to be aware.

00:36:07.000 --> 00:36:09.000
Or you can choose to be in fellowship.

00:36:09.000 --> 00:36:10.000
Relationship is not up to you.

00:36:10.000 --> 00:36:12.000
Judah does not have a choice.

00:36:12.000 --> 00:36:14.000
Judah is Remy's son.

00:36:14.000 --> 00:36:16.000
There's nothing he can do about it.

00:36:16.000 --> 00:36:17.000
Just nothing.

00:36:17.000 --> 00:36:18.000
He can go to court.

00:36:18.000 --> 00:36:19.000
He can do this.

00:36:19.000 --> 00:36:20.000
He can do that.

00:36:20.000 --> 00:36:23.000
But hey Judah you're still his son.

00:36:23.000 --> 00:36:24.000
He can change his last name.

00:36:24.000 --> 00:36:27.000
Judah you're still his son.

00:36:27.000 --> 00:36:30.000
Like Judah is stuck for life.

00:36:30.000 --> 00:36:35.000
In a good way.

00:36:35.000 --> 00:36:38.000
It's the same way.

00:36:38.000 --> 00:36:45.000
And then to not show interest or be bored of this one that is in us and not to be passionate about him.

00:36:45.000 --> 00:36:49.000
It's kind of dumb.

00:36:49.000 --> 00:36:51.000
So that's the first thing.

00:36:51.000 --> 00:36:52.000
He in the father.

00:36:52.000 --> 00:36:59.000
He's trying to establish this principle that Jacob the mutual indwelling that I have with the father is the same mutual indwelling I have with you.

00:36:59.000 --> 00:37:02.000
And then he goes on to say you are in me.

00:37:02.000 --> 00:37:07.000
You are in me.

00:37:07.000 --> 00:37:14.000
And so are he in us.

00:37:14.000 --> 00:37:16.000
Why?

00:37:16.000 --> 00:37:18.000
Why?

00:37:18.000 --> 00:37:19.000
We think because we became Christians.

00:37:19.000 --> 00:37:20.000
No.

00:37:20.000 --> 00:37:21.000
Why?

00:37:21.000 --> 00:37:37.000
So that we can partake in his divine nature.

00:37:37.000 --> 00:37:39.000
So that we can partake in his divine nature.

00:37:39.000 --> 00:37:40.000
Where do you find this?

00:37:40.000 --> 00:37:43.000
Second Peter 1 3.

00:37:43.000 --> 00:37:44.000
Let's go read it.

00:37:44.000 --> 00:37:49.000
Second Peter 1 3.

00:37:49.000 --> 00:37:59.000
Second Peter 1 3.

00:37:59.000 --> 00:38:00.000
Here's what it says.

00:38:00.000 --> 00:38:02.000
His divine power.

00:38:02.000 --> 00:38:14.000
And by that he means the Holy Spirit has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness through these.

00:38:14.000 --> 00:38:24.000
He has given us his very great and precious promises so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desire.

00:38:24.000 --> 00:38:29.000
And so why is he in me?

00:38:29.000 --> 00:38:35.000
One of the reasons he is in me here on earth is so that I can partake in his divine nature.

00:38:35.000 --> 00:38:38.000
Christ in you.

00:38:38.000 --> 00:38:41.000
Christ in you.

00:38:41.000 --> 00:38:45.000
And so this gives you an opportunity.

00:38:45.000 --> 00:38:50.000
Gives you the opportunity.

00:38:50.000 --> 00:38:55.000
To publicly.

00:38:55.000 --> 00:39:02.000
Present publicly present and proclaim.

00:39:02.000 --> 00:39:05.000
The exact imprint of his nature.

00:39:05.000 --> 00:39:07.000
Remember from Hebrews 1 3.

00:39:07.000 --> 00:39:15.000
Exact imprint of his nature.

00:39:15.000 --> 00:39:21.000
Or in other words the glory of God.

00:39:21.000 --> 00:39:26.000
In all your interactions.

00:39:26.000 --> 00:39:33.000
With all people.

00:39:33.000 --> 00:39:39.000
In all circumstances.

00:39:39.000 --> 00:39:41.000
Crazy.

00:39:41.000 --> 00:39:43.000
Aspire for this guys.

00:39:43.000 --> 00:39:45.000
Don't let it go.

00:39:45.000 --> 00:39:46.000
Christ in you.

00:39:46.000 --> 00:39:47.000
Christ lives in me.

00:39:47.000 --> 00:39:50.000
It gives me an opportunity.

00:39:50.000 --> 00:39:54.000
To publicly proclaim publicly present.

00:39:54.000 --> 00:39:55.000
The exact imprint of his nature.

00:39:55.000 --> 00:39:57.000
He now lives in me.

00:39:57.000 --> 00:40:00.000
I must be an exact imprint of his nature.

00:40:00.000 --> 00:40:03.000
Jesus was an exact imprint of God.

00:40:03.000 --> 00:40:04.000
Now he lives in you.

00:40:04.000 --> 00:40:06.000
And he's saying hey body of Christ.

00:40:06.000 --> 00:40:07.000
Hey Videsha.

00:40:07.000 --> 00:40:10.000
Can you be the exact imprint of my nature.

00:40:10.000 --> 00:40:12.000
In all your interactions.

00:40:12.000 --> 00:40:13.000
In all circumstances.

00:40:13.000 --> 00:40:15.000
With all people.

00:40:15.000 --> 00:40:18.000
So we fail 84 times today.

00:40:18.000 --> 00:40:21.000
But what if we failed only 81 times tomorrow.

00:40:21.000 --> 00:40:26.000
Which means that three times we were the exact imprint of his nature.

00:40:26.000 --> 00:40:28.000
Can you imagine that?

00:40:28.000 --> 00:40:29.000
What are we talking about?

00:40:29.000 --> 00:40:31.000
We're talking about mere human beings.

00:40:31.000 --> 00:40:33.000
Beginning to show his glory.

00:40:33.000 --> 00:40:36.000
Through jars of clay.

00:40:36.000 --> 00:40:40.000
Why does 2 Corinthians 4.7 say that this treasure.

00:40:40.000 --> 00:40:41.000
This glory.

00:40:41.000 --> 00:40:43.000
Now hi ya.

00:40:43.000 --> 00:40:48.000
Want to come and preach?

00:40:48.000 --> 00:40:50.000
Come.

00:40:50.000 --> 00:40:53.000
No. Okay.

00:40:53.000 --> 00:40:55.000
So just think.

00:40:55.000 --> 00:40:58.000
Let's say you got it wrong 84 times.

00:40:58.000 --> 00:41:01.000
But three out of those 84 times.

00:41:01.000 --> 00:41:03.000
You begin to behave.

00:41:03.000 --> 00:41:06.000
In the exact imprint and nature of Christ.

00:41:06.000 --> 00:41:09.000
Do you realize what you just did?

00:41:09.000 --> 00:41:11.000
Your jars of clay.

00:41:11.000 --> 00:41:13.000
2 Corinthians 4.7 I think.

00:41:13.000 --> 00:41:14.000
Jars of clay.

00:41:14.000 --> 00:41:15.000
Carrying a treasure.

00:41:15.000 --> 00:41:16.000
What is a treasure?

00:41:16.000 --> 00:41:18.000
The glory of Christ.

00:41:18.000 --> 00:41:20.000
What is the glory of Christ?

00:41:20.000 --> 00:41:22.000
The exact imprint of God.

00:41:22.000 --> 00:41:23.000
Carrying it in you.

00:41:23.000 --> 00:41:26.000
Three out of 84 times tomorrow you get it right.

00:41:26.000 --> 00:41:28.000
Day after tomorrow.

00:41:28.000 --> 00:41:31.000
Four out of 84.

00:41:31.000 --> 00:41:32.000
Ten days from now.

00:41:32.000 --> 00:41:37.000
Sixty out of 84.

00:41:37.000 --> 00:41:41.000
It'll be nuts man.

00:41:41.000 --> 00:41:44.000
Any questions on that?

00:41:44.000 --> 00:41:49.000
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

00:41:49.000 --> 00:41:50.000
Yep.

00:41:50.000 --> 00:41:56.000
But the practice of that purity.

00:41:56.000 --> 00:42:01.000
Any questions?

00:42:01.000 --> 00:42:05.000
Do you realize the enormity of this?

00:42:05.000 --> 00:42:06.000
Let it sink in slowly.

00:42:06.000 --> 00:42:09.000
Have you heard that joke about quicksand?

00:42:09.000 --> 00:42:11.000
Takes a long time to sink in.

00:42:11.000 --> 00:42:16.000
So.

00:42:16.000 --> 00:42:24.000
Christ in you gives you the opportunity to publicly present and proclaim the exact imprint of his nature.

00:42:24.000 --> 00:42:27.000
As in Jane does me harm.

00:42:27.000 --> 00:42:33.000
And now I have the opportunity to present the exact imprint of his nature.

00:42:33.000 --> 00:42:38.000
In both forgiving and reconciling.

00:42:38.000 --> 00:42:54.000
I see a need that prosper has and without him asking, I now meet that need and he doesn't even know that I met it because I do it secretly.

00:42:54.000 --> 00:43:01.000
I have just begun to exhibit the exact imprint of his nature.

00:43:01.000 --> 00:43:03.000
And then I harm Remy.

00:43:03.000 --> 00:43:05.000
I harm Sue.

00:43:05.000 --> 00:43:07.000
And I do evil to Sheldon.

00:43:07.000 --> 00:43:10.000
And I have failed three times.

00:43:10.000 --> 00:43:14.000
But tomorrow I go and reconcile with all three of them.

00:43:14.000 --> 00:43:16.000
The exact imprint of his nature.

00:43:16.000 --> 00:43:18.000
And it just goes on and on.

00:43:18.000 --> 00:43:25.000
And every time you get to match who Jesus is, his glory shows.

00:43:25.000 --> 00:43:26.000
His glory shows.

00:43:26.000 --> 00:43:31.000
Every time you get to do it, his glory shows.

00:43:31.000 --> 00:43:40.000
That's why Paul says, listen, I know you're a flawed, broken, uncrushed, sometimes persecuted person.

00:43:40.000 --> 00:43:48.000
But despite the crushing, despite the persecuting, despite your confusion and your perplexing, know this.

00:43:48.000 --> 00:43:55.000
That you are what God has chosen, Jacob, as a jar of clay in which there is ridiculous treasure.

00:43:55.000 --> 00:43:59.000
And that treasure can affect anybody and everything.

00:43:59.000 --> 00:44:04.000
Sometimes what happens is he has a headache.

00:44:04.000 --> 00:44:15.000
And now the way Christ's exact imprint of nature flows is that while I'm talking to him, I just pray a simple prayer like let his headache go and it disappears.

00:44:15.000 --> 00:44:16.000
Now it's different.

00:44:16.000 --> 00:44:21.000
The glory of Christ now works differently where his headache disappears.

00:44:21.000 --> 00:44:22.000
Or what?

00:44:22.000 --> 00:44:30.000
If right now when I'm teaching, I'm able to recognize the presence of Christ here and I teach under the shadow of who is here.

00:44:30.000 --> 00:44:35.000
The words that I speak suddenly become life and spirit, not just ordinary words.

00:44:35.000 --> 00:44:41.000
The words that I speak with no concern for myself, but the only concern I have is first for him and then for you.

00:44:41.000 --> 00:44:46.000
If that happens, then the words that I speak to you, I'll be able to quote John 6 63 and say,

00:44:46.000 --> 00:44:51.000
the words that I speak to you are spirit and life for the flesh profits nothing.

00:44:51.000 --> 00:44:54.000
And then it doesn't matter whether you're half dead or half asleep.

00:44:54.000 --> 00:45:06.000
The words still penetrate your spirit and it quickens and awakens you.

00:45:06.000 --> 00:45:11.000
This is what we're all called to.

00:45:11.000 --> 00:45:14.000
All called to.

00:45:14.000 --> 00:45:18.000
Any questions?

00:45:18.000 --> 00:45:20.000
Guys, this kind of awareness?

00:45:20.000 --> 00:45:31.000
Gosh, when we as a church get there, then what is impossible because he is standing with you and he's in your midst.

00:45:31.000 --> 00:45:33.000
Worship?

00:45:33.000 --> 00:45:42.000
It'll be like, no, we don't have a separate time for worship.

00:45:42.000 --> 00:45:46.000
We have this treasure of the glory of Christ in jars of clay.

00:45:46.000 --> 00:45:48.000
Why is it in jars of clay?

00:45:48.000 --> 00:45:50.000
There too, God is brilliant.

00:45:50.000 --> 00:45:54.000
Why do we have the treasure in jars of clay?

00:45:54.000 --> 00:45:55.000
You know what, guys?

00:45:55.000 --> 00:46:01.000
This is where we have to separate what's happening on TV, what's happening in the world in terms of Christianity.

00:46:01.000 --> 00:46:05.000
You know why he wants his treasure in jars of clay?

00:46:05.000 --> 00:46:15.000
The rest of the scripture explains it so that the overflow of its glory will never be mistaken for you.

00:46:15.000 --> 00:46:16.000
That's why.

00:46:16.000 --> 00:46:24.000
So that the light and the power that begins to flow in a place, they'll never think it's Sheldon because he's a skilled pianist.

00:46:24.000 --> 00:46:32.000
It'll be because as he begins to play, light and power will begin to flow from the keys that he's playing and begins to affect people.

00:46:32.000 --> 00:46:34.000
It is in every area of life.

00:46:34.000 --> 00:46:37.000
It is when Aaron begins to draw.

00:46:37.000 --> 00:46:47.000
It's when Derek begins to do things as a person in charge of his staff at work.

00:46:47.000 --> 00:46:49.000
It affects everything.

00:46:49.000 --> 00:46:54.000
It's not just limited to ministry.

00:46:54.000 --> 00:46:57.000
It's not just limited to ministry.

00:46:57.000 --> 00:46:59.000
In everything I do.

00:47:07.000 --> 00:47:30.000
We have this treasure in jars of clay so that the extraordinary outflow, the extraordinary outflow of light, of goodness, of power,

00:47:30.000 --> 00:47:42.000
is seen unmistakably as God.

00:47:42.000 --> 00:47:57.000
Even though, and particularly when, you are crushed, broken, perplexed.

00:47:57.000 --> 00:48:02.000
That's particularly when he just shows off.

00:48:02.000 --> 00:48:15.000
May your brokenness, may your being crushed, may your being perplexed never stop you from letting the glory of Christ overflow.

00:48:15.000 --> 00:48:18.000
So many of us step back because, no, I'm not having a good day.

00:48:18.000 --> 00:48:20.000
Who cares?

00:48:20.000 --> 00:48:22.000
Really, I don't.

00:48:23.000 --> 00:48:28.000
I care that you're not having a good day, but when it comes to God wanting to flow through you,

00:48:28.000 --> 00:48:37.000
really, you're better off than most people then because none of you will show.

00:48:37.000 --> 00:48:43.000
Now you understand Paul's statement in 2 Corinthians 12 where he says,

00:48:43.000 --> 00:48:48.000
Any questions, guys?

00:48:48.000 --> 00:48:57.000
Some of the most blessed days that we can have is when we don't have a job, don't have much money,

00:48:57.000 --> 00:49:06.000
don't have a wife or a husband, don't have bright prospects, have a lot of problems around us,

00:49:06.000 --> 00:49:13.000
but somehow are beginning to understand that God is amazing and you can kind of trust him and be quite happy in him.

00:49:13.000 --> 00:49:15.000
Those days are some of the best days of your life.

00:49:15.000 --> 00:49:17.000
You know it.

00:49:17.000 --> 00:49:20.000
There's nobody here who hasn't been through a very difficult time.

00:49:20.000 --> 00:49:27.000
And there were those days when despite the difficulty, your heart was dancing and you can't understand why.

00:49:27.000 --> 00:49:32.000
Those are some of my Paul's blessed days.

00:49:32.000 --> 00:49:34.000
I feel bad for Anna.

00:49:34.000 --> 00:49:37.000
She got a job.

00:49:37.000 --> 00:49:42.000
I'm happy for you.

00:49:42.000 --> 00:49:47.000
What I'm trying to say is some of the best days are when you don't have all this.

00:49:47.000 --> 00:49:48.000
May you be blessed.

00:49:48.000 --> 00:49:49.000
May you make a lot of money.

00:49:49.000 --> 00:49:50.000
May you stay there forever.

00:49:50.000 --> 00:49:51.000
May you be blessed.

00:49:51.000 --> 00:49:52.000
May you be blessed.

00:49:52.000 --> 00:49:54.000
Some of the best days are when you don't have all this.

00:49:54.000 --> 00:49:55.000
May you be blessed.

00:49:55.000 --> 00:49:56.000
May you make a lot of money.

00:49:56.000 --> 00:49:57.000
May you stay there forever.

00:49:57.000 --> 00:49:58.000
And may you be super generous.

00:49:58.000 --> 00:50:01.000
And may you have a party and may you always be invited.

00:50:01.000 --> 00:50:02.000
Hallelujah.

00:50:02.000 --> 00:50:08.000
The next one is us in him.

00:50:08.000 --> 00:50:09.000
Us in him.

00:50:09.000 --> 00:50:14.000
Us in him.

00:50:14.000 --> 00:50:21.000
Guys, just try to, you know, this verse that I'm about to quote from Acts 17 was actually actually from the Bible.

00:50:21.000 --> 00:50:30.000
It was actually attributed to poets that were not necessarily believers, but it is now canon of scripture and it holds true for us.

00:50:30.000 --> 00:50:31.000
And here's what it says.

00:50:31.000 --> 00:50:46.000
In Christ, I, we, you, live, move, have a being.

00:50:46.000 --> 00:50:49.000
Acts 17, 28.

00:50:49.000 --> 00:51:02.000
It's like, hey, you're like a baby in the matrix of a womb.

00:51:02.000 --> 00:51:08.000
In you, in you, Jesus, is all my living, all my moving, all my being.

00:51:08.000 --> 00:51:13.000
There are times that stray out and color outside the lines, but this is where I want to be.

00:51:13.000 --> 00:51:16.000
I just want to be where you are.

00:51:16.000 --> 00:51:19.000
Always dwelling in your presence.

00:51:19.000 --> 00:51:21.000
Take me to the place where you are.

00:51:21.000 --> 00:51:25.000
I just want to be with you.

00:51:25.000 --> 00:51:32.000
This idea of living, moving and finding my entire being in him.

00:51:32.000 --> 00:51:41.000
Because we must not forget that as much as we are, as much as he is in us, he's saying, listen, Jacob, you are in me.

00:51:41.000 --> 00:51:43.000
Everything you need is in me.

00:51:43.000 --> 00:51:51.000
I was teaching somewhere yesterday and one of the things I said is if you want to go from a mature child to a mature son,

00:51:51.000 --> 00:51:59.000
then you need to understand that there are seven things your father takes care of and you've got to stop thinking of these seven things.

00:51:59.000 --> 00:52:04.000
These seven things, and I know some of you remember this from years ago.

00:52:04.000 --> 00:52:09.000
These seven things were given to every man, woman and child in the Garden of Eden.

00:52:09.000 --> 00:52:13.000
And it's never been rescinded. It's not a special thing for believers.

00:52:13.000 --> 00:52:18.000
It was given to all humankind in the Garden of Eden and it's never been taken back.

00:52:18.000 --> 00:52:26.000
And the way to begin to operate in Christ is to know that these seven things that are taken care of are never go running after them.

00:52:26.000 --> 00:52:27.000
And what are these seven things?

00:52:27.000 --> 00:52:33.000
The first one, Genesis 2, it says, he gives us dignity and worth.

00:52:33.000 --> 00:52:36.000
We are made in his image. He gives us dignity and worth.

00:52:36.000 --> 00:52:39.000
We won't elaborate on it. I'll just give you the rundown.

00:52:39.000 --> 00:52:43.000
He gives us dignity and worth. Two, he gives us authority or dominion.

00:52:43.000 --> 00:52:48.000
He gives us authority. Three, he gives us security.

00:52:48.000 --> 00:52:51.000
Four, he gives us provision.

00:52:51.000 --> 00:52:59.000
Five, he gives us the freedom to be who he has made us in its fullness.

00:52:59.000 --> 00:53:02.000
Six, he gives us companionship and intimacy.

00:53:03.000 --> 00:53:06.000
Seven, he gives us purpose and joy.

00:53:06.000 --> 00:53:11.000
These seven things are the very things that the entire world seeks.

00:53:11.000 --> 00:53:18.000
And when Christians begin to seek this outside of Christ, they will not have time, will not have time for the things of Christ.

00:53:18.000 --> 00:53:24.000
This is the fulfillment of Matthew 6.33 where it says, seek first.

00:53:24.000 --> 00:53:28.000
Because the Father will take care of the rest. He'll add it to you.

00:53:28.000 --> 00:53:33.000
The seven things that we as believers are continuously running after.

00:53:33.000 --> 00:53:37.000
When believers run after it, it is shameful.

00:53:37.000 --> 00:53:40.000
And all of us should be in that sense ashamed of it.

00:53:40.000 --> 00:53:45.000
I'm not trying to put shame on you, but I'm telling you that all of us are caught in one of these or the other.

00:53:45.000 --> 00:53:53.000
But people like Jesus, people like Paul, realize that this would be something that the Father would take care of.

00:53:53.000 --> 00:53:57.000
I wish I could say these seven things I never seek anywhere else.

00:53:57.000 --> 00:53:58.000
What is the list again?

00:53:58.000 --> 00:54:00.000
Dignity and worth.

00:54:00.000 --> 00:54:05.000
When nobody's approval or disapproval ruins you or builds you up.

00:54:05.000 --> 00:54:08.000
Next one, authority.

00:54:08.000 --> 00:54:17.000
Where you know how to enforce the will of God here on earth, first in your life and then around the earth.

00:54:17.000 --> 00:54:20.000
Three, security.

00:54:20.000 --> 00:54:22.000
Where you know he protects you.

00:54:22.000 --> 00:54:25.000
You're not worried about controlling situations.

00:54:25.000 --> 00:54:28.000
You're not worried about will this happen? Will that happen?

00:54:28.000 --> 00:54:30.000
The pagans chase after that.

00:54:30.000 --> 00:54:31.000
Four, provision.

00:54:31.000 --> 00:54:33.000
Oh my God!

00:54:33.000 --> 00:54:36.000
Oh, I'm new in this country. I have to work. I have to make a stable...

00:54:36.000 --> 00:54:40.000
You know how long stability takes in this country? About 27 years.

00:54:45.000 --> 00:54:46.000
27 years.

00:54:49.000 --> 00:54:51.000
Yeah, third one is provision.

00:54:51.000 --> 00:54:58.000
Provision is when we start chasing after provision saying, I've got to take care of my provision.

00:54:58.000 --> 00:55:00.000
And you begin to work by the sweat of your brow.

00:55:00.000 --> 00:55:02.000
It totally overtakes you.

00:55:02.000 --> 00:55:06.000
And you are not able to walk like this because this takes up so much time.

00:55:08.000 --> 00:55:13.000
Fourth, freedom.

00:55:13.000 --> 00:55:19.000
Freedom to be who I am and be who God wants me to be.

00:55:19.000 --> 00:55:21.000
And to have no limits on it.

00:55:24.000 --> 00:55:30.000
It's like when children go with their dads or the moms and they look at the swing and they look at their dad

00:55:30.000 --> 00:55:33.000
and they look at the swing and they look at their dad and the dad nods yes.

00:55:33.000 --> 00:55:37.000
And the child climbs on the swing and begins to go really hard.

00:55:37.000 --> 00:55:41.000
And everybody else is thinking this is a bad idea but the child knows my father's got my back.

00:55:41.000 --> 00:55:43.000
The freedom to try it.

00:55:45.000 --> 00:55:46.000
The freedom to...

00:55:46.000 --> 00:55:48.000
I don't see... there's no children here, right?

00:55:48.000 --> 00:55:51.000
The freedom to jump off a high sofa onto another high sofa.

00:55:53.000 --> 00:55:57.000
Knowing that your parent will catch you.

00:56:00.000 --> 00:56:02.000
Sixth, purpose and joy.

00:56:02.000 --> 00:56:04.000
Purpose brings joy. Purpose brings joy.

00:56:04.000 --> 00:56:08.000
You find the purpose that God has allotted for you right now.

00:56:08.000 --> 00:56:10.000
And it brings you joy.

00:56:10.000 --> 00:56:12.000
It brings you joy.

00:56:12.000 --> 00:56:14.000
And the last one was what?

00:56:15.000 --> 00:56:17.000
Companionship and intimacy.

00:56:17.000 --> 00:56:19.000
He does it on two levels.

00:56:19.000 --> 00:56:21.000
On one level he provides you Eve.

00:56:21.000 --> 00:56:24.000
On the other level he provides you himself.

00:56:26.000 --> 00:56:29.000
There is nobody more interested in your marriage than your father.

00:56:32.000 --> 00:56:35.000
Earthly fathers put so much pressure.

00:56:35.000 --> 00:56:40.000
If you're Indian and you're not married and you're 32, you're toast.

00:56:41.000 --> 00:56:43.000
So much pressure is put on you.

00:56:43.000 --> 00:56:47.000
Because your dad is concerned, oh my God, my son is getting old soon.

00:56:47.000 --> 00:56:53.000
No, this father is more interested in you than anybody else and he knows how.

00:56:54.000 --> 00:56:56.000
And then he provides companionship.

00:56:56.000 --> 00:56:59.000
You got years to go, Dishalty, not time yet.

00:57:00.000 --> 00:57:02.000
Sorry, I just thought you were whispering.

00:57:07.000 --> 00:57:11.000
And he provides companionship, his intimacy he provides.

00:57:11.000 --> 00:57:13.000
There's nothing as satisfying.

00:57:13.000 --> 00:57:15.000
Guys, ask any husband, ask any wife.

00:57:15.000 --> 00:57:23.000
When things really are not working in their marriage, the one place they can still always run to is the companionship of God.

00:57:23.000 --> 00:57:25.000
And it is so refreshing.

00:57:25.000 --> 00:57:29.000
You come back humbler and you say to her, you were right about everything else.

00:57:36.000 --> 00:57:37.000
Right, Derek?

00:57:38.000 --> 00:57:39.000
Right, Derek?

00:57:50.000 --> 00:57:51.000
I love this Lexan line.

00:57:53.000 --> 00:57:55.000
Still trying to wrap my head around it.

00:57:55.000 --> 00:57:56.000
Your true life.

00:58:01.000 --> 00:58:05.000
Your true life is an uninterrupted, is an uninterrupted.

00:58:07.000 --> 00:58:30.000
Extension of his indissoluble, as in it cannot be even tainted or touched or disturbed, indissoluble, expansive, as in it is much larger than you think it is.

00:58:30.000 --> 00:58:37.000
Private life, as in it's his personal life before the father.

00:58:37.000 --> 00:59:01.000
Your true life is an uninterrupted extension, as in the life that I presently possess right now is an uninterrupted extension of Jesus Christ's indissoluble, expansive, private life.

00:59:01.000 --> 00:59:02.000
Jesus is a being.

00:59:02.000 --> 00:59:03.000
He has life.

00:59:03.000 --> 00:59:04.000
No one gave it to him.

00:59:04.000 --> 00:59:06.000
He's from everlasting to everlasting.

00:59:06.000 --> 00:59:07.000
That is his life.

00:59:07.000 --> 00:59:09.000
He is a person.

00:59:09.000 --> 00:59:10.000
He has personality.

00:59:10.000 --> 00:59:12.000
He is not an ethereal something.

00:59:12.000 --> 00:59:14.000
He has a life.

00:59:14.000 --> 00:59:16.000
That is his private life.

00:59:16.000 --> 00:59:21.000
And it was and always had been between father, son and spirit.

00:59:21.000 --> 00:59:24.000
And then one day they decided, let's make Jacob.

00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:26.000
The idea is brilliant.

00:59:26.000 --> 00:59:27.000
Let's make Derek.

00:59:27.000 --> 00:59:28.000
Let's make Sue.

00:59:28.000 --> 00:59:29.000
The idea is brilliant.

00:59:29.000 --> 00:59:30.000
And they make us.

00:59:30.000 --> 00:59:35.000
And then they say, but they shall have my private life in them.

00:59:35.000 --> 00:59:38.000
It is an extension, an uninterrupted extension.

00:59:38.000 --> 00:59:46.000
Once we become a believer, uninterrupted extension of his life, indissoluble, cannot be touched, cannot be tainted, cannot be disturbed, expansive.

00:59:46.000 --> 00:59:48.000
There's no limit to this life.

00:59:48.000 --> 00:59:49.000
We'll taste it here on earth.

00:59:49.000 --> 00:59:55.000
And then we know an expansive life in eternity that we had no way to imagine or even describe.

00:59:55.000 --> 00:59:57.000
And it's his private life.

00:59:57.000 --> 00:59:59.000
That's the life I possess.

00:59:59.000 --> 01:00:00.000
That's the life I'm founded.

01:00:00.000 --> 01:00:01.000
That's the life I have.

01:00:01.000 --> 01:00:02.000
That's the life I have.

01:00:02.000 --> 01:00:05.000
And that's the life you have.

01:00:05.000 --> 01:00:08.000
This is the life of the person here right now in this room.

01:00:13.000 --> 01:00:15.000
Worship should be so blooming easy.

01:00:15.000 --> 01:00:18.000
It's life to life, oranges to oranges, deep to deep.

01:00:27.000 --> 01:00:29.000
Amazing person we met, man.

01:00:31.000 --> 01:00:35.000
And then he says, OK, not only this, I'll seat you with me.

01:00:35.000 --> 01:00:36.000
Ephesians 2, 6.

01:00:36.000 --> 01:00:38.000
Let me seat you with me.

01:00:40.000 --> 01:00:42.000
I'm in you, you're in me.

01:00:42.000 --> 01:00:44.000
I'm in you and you are in me.

01:00:44.000 --> 01:00:46.000
But you're also seated with me.

01:00:46.000 --> 01:00:47.000
I'm in my father.

01:00:47.000 --> 01:00:49.000
You're seated next to my father.

01:00:49.000 --> 01:00:51.000
It's impossible to comprehend.

01:00:51.000 --> 01:00:53.000
But look at what he's saying.

01:00:53.000 --> 01:00:54.000
I'm in you.

01:00:54.000 --> 01:00:56.000
Oh, by the way, I'm seated next to the father.

01:00:56.000 --> 01:00:58.000
So you are seated with me.

01:00:58.000 --> 01:00:59.000
I'm in you.

01:00:59.000 --> 01:01:01.000
So you are seated with me.

01:01:01.000 --> 01:01:02.000
I'm in my father.

01:01:02.000 --> 01:01:04.000
So you're seated next to my father too.

01:01:04.000 --> 01:01:05.000
You have access.

01:01:05.000 --> 01:01:06.000
You have access.

01:01:06.000 --> 01:01:09.000
You are welcome, Jacob, in these courts.

01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:12.000
This is not your father's study.

01:01:12.000 --> 01:01:14.000
This is not your father's meeting room.

01:01:14.000 --> 01:01:16.000
This is your father's house.

01:01:18.000 --> 01:01:22.000
I will dwell in my house for, and I will dwell, Psalm 23.

01:01:22.000 --> 01:01:26.000
Surely goodness, love, and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

01:01:26.000 --> 01:01:29.000
And I shall dwell in your house for ever.

01:01:32.000 --> 01:01:36.000
Come on, man, every time we feel down this week, we feel beaten this week,

01:01:36.000 --> 01:01:38.000
know who you are in and know who is in you.

01:01:38.000 --> 01:01:42.000
And remember who he is, the enormity of who he is.

01:01:42.000 --> 01:01:43.000
Go through that list.

01:01:43.000 --> 01:01:44.000
I have it on my phone.

01:01:44.000 --> 01:01:48.000
Go through that list again and again, till you get used to the one in you.

01:01:50.000 --> 01:01:53.000
People have artificial craniums and hearts.

01:01:53.000 --> 01:01:56.000
When they go through that thingy, they tell them,

01:01:56.000 --> 01:01:57.000
I've got this thing in my head.

01:01:57.000 --> 01:01:59.000
And so they can't go through the metal detector.

01:01:59.000 --> 01:02:00.000
They have to do some other thing.

01:02:00.000 --> 01:02:02.000
You've got a metal detector inside you.

01:02:03.000 --> 01:02:04.000
Not metal detector.

01:02:04.000 --> 01:02:07.000
You've got strange, someone's trained inside you.

01:02:07.000 --> 01:02:08.000
He's not earthly.

01:02:09.000 --> 01:02:10.000
You are earthly.

01:02:10.000 --> 01:02:11.000
He's not.

01:02:14.000 --> 01:02:15.000
But to get used to it.

01:02:15.000 --> 01:02:18.000
You know, I get excited every time I teach this because the more I teach this,

01:02:18.000 --> 01:02:19.000
the more I understand it.

01:02:20.000 --> 01:02:22.000
You should teach it to somebody.

01:02:22.000 --> 01:02:24.000
Ask your husband or wife to sit and say, let me teach you.

01:02:24.000 --> 01:02:25.000
And then start.

01:02:25.000 --> 01:02:27.000
My sister used to do this when I was small.

01:02:27.000 --> 01:02:29.000
She'd be the teacher and I'd be the student.

01:02:29.000 --> 01:02:33.000
But strangely enough, I'd get a couple of whacks from her that I couldn't understand.

01:02:33.000 --> 01:02:35.000
Even though I knew more math than her.

01:02:38.000 --> 01:02:40.000
I'm not going to tell you how to do it.

01:02:40.000 --> 01:02:42.000
I'm going to tell you how to do it.

01:02:42.000 --> 01:02:47.000
You have a living bond.

01:02:47.000 --> 01:02:49.000
You have a living bond.

01:02:49.000 --> 01:02:51.000
You have a living bond.

01:02:51.000 --> 01:02:53.000
Almost like an umbilical cord.

01:02:57.000 --> 01:03:03.000
With the ascended Christ.

01:03:03.000 --> 01:03:05.000
With the ascended Christ.

01:03:05.000 --> 01:03:07.000
Not Jesus of Nazareth.

01:03:07.000 --> 01:03:09.000
The ascended Christ.

01:03:10.000 --> 01:03:12.000
The ascended Christ.

01:03:14.000 --> 01:03:21.000
And so begin to judge things by kingdom standards.

01:03:25.000 --> 01:03:31.000
And whenever you judge things, first start by judging yourself.

01:03:31.000 --> 01:03:33.000
How did I behave with Jonathan?

01:03:33.000 --> 01:03:36.000
How did I behave with Jeremy?

01:03:36.000 --> 01:03:38.000
How did I behave with Evan?

01:03:38.000 --> 01:03:52.000
When I'm thinking, can I begin to think along the lines of the glory of Christ is here?

01:03:52.000 --> 01:04:00.000
When I'm praying, can I remember that the glory of Christ as in the person of Christ is here?

01:04:00.000 --> 01:04:05.000
When I'm alone, can I remember that gosh I'm so not alone.

01:04:05.000 --> 01:04:07.000
The glory of Christ is here.

01:04:07.000 --> 01:04:12.000
When I'm talking like right now, can I remember that the glory of Christ is here?

01:04:12.000 --> 01:04:16.000
And my words can transform if I yield to him.

01:04:17.000 --> 01:04:25.000
Whether you're loving your spouse or your child, can you remember that the glory of Christ is there with you?

01:04:25.000 --> 01:04:29.000
Can you remember that the glory of Christ is there with you?

01:04:31.000 --> 01:04:40.000
When you're interacting with people, when you're judging things, when you're ministering, when you're worshipping, when you're sleeping,

01:04:40.000 --> 01:04:49.000
can your last thought be, ah, the person of Christ is in me and is here with me and he's protective, he's jealous,

01:04:49.000 --> 01:05:00.000
he's kind, he's gentle, he's meek, he's brilliant, he has substance, he's glorious, he's already planned tomorrow, he knows the future.

01:05:01.000 --> 01:05:06.000
When I'm arguing, can I remember that the glory of Christ is here?

01:05:06.000 --> 01:05:08.000
Strange, why include argument?

01:05:08.000 --> 01:05:16.000
Because there will be arguments, but can I imagine, not imagine, can I know that as I argue with my wife that the glory of Christ is here,

01:05:16.000 --> 01:05:20.000
it will change your language, it will change your tone, it will change your attitude.

01:05:24.000 --> 01:05:30.000
As I'm watching social media, Facebook, Instagram, can I be aware that the glory of Christ is here?

01:05:30.000 --> 01:05:35.000
As in the exact imprint of the nature of God is with me, in me, around me.

01:05:36.000 --> 01:05:44.000
As I submit to things that I may not necessarily like but I know what submission is, can I remember that the glory of Christ is here?

01:05:44.000 --> 01:05:49.000
And it's brilliant and shining because it knows that submission and order is important.

01:05:51.000 --> 01:05:56.000
When I'm working, when I'm struggling, can I know that the king of glory is here?

01:05:57.000 --> 01:06:01.000
There's nothing that is outside this purview but to become aware.

01:06:01.000 --> 01:06:03.000
How do we become aware?

01:06:03.000 --> 01:06:11.000
When you love somebody, when you practice it, when you increase in knowledge and when you're sensitive, you always end up being aware.

01:06:11.000 --> 01:06:17.000
It's so true that when people first fall in love, they're aware.

01:06:17.000 --> 01:06:19.000
They're at work and they're thinking of her.

01:06:19.000 --> 01:06:23.000
They're cutting vegetables and they think of her and cut their finger.

01:06:23.000 --> 01:06:27.000
They are thinking of her every time they see a phone.

01:06:27.000 --> 01:06:30.000
They're thinking of her every time they drive home, go to work.

01:06:30.000 --> 01:06:35.000
They're thinking of her every time they see a scone or a blueberry muffin or whatever.

01:06:35.000 --> 01:06:38.000
You just begin to think of her. Everything reminds you of her.

01:06:39.000 --> 01:06:42.000
It doesn't matter where you go, you're aware.

01:06:43.000 --> 01:06:49.000
Same principle, man. Love is such a key to awareness, such a key to awareness.

01:06:50.000 --> 01:06:54.000
Use our times of worship here to fall in love again and again and again.

01:06:55.000 --> 01:06:58.000
In fact, let's do a worship night tomorrow. Tony doesn't know this.

01:06:58.000 --> 01:07:00.000
Let him know anyway when he comes down.

01:07:01.000 --> 01:07:04.000
But I'll talk to me and what's his name first, Don.

01:07:09.000 --> 01:07:12.000
Maybe they have something that they've prepared really hard.

01:07:12.000 --> 01:07:16.000
And they're saying, I worked a week. I don't want to do this.

01:07:17.000 --> 01:07:20.000
So we'll discuss it slightly later.

01:07:20.000 --> 01:07:24.000
Isaiah 6-3. I just want you to know we are almost at the end.

01:07:24.000 --> 01:07:27.000
Holy precedes glory.

01:07:30.000 --> 01:07:32.000
Holy precedes glory.

01:07:33.000 --> 01:07:39.000
I was very intrigued when Tony read out Isaiah 6.

01:07:39.000 --> 01:07:42.000
I've never heard someone read Isaiah 6 as well as Tony did.

01:07:42.000 --> 01:07:44.000
There was so much emotion in it.

01:07:44.000 --> 01:07:46.000
He's not a reader normally.

01:07:46.000 --> 01:07:49.000
Normally when Tony reads or speaks, it's like, eh.

01:07:49.000 --> 01:07:54.000
But today when he read, you could feel the strength of Isaiah 6.

01:07:55.000 --> 01:07:58.000
He literally was there when he was reading it.

01:07:58.000 --> 01:08:01.000
And at one point he begins to say, holy, holy, holy.

01:08:01.000 --> 01:08:04.000
And his voice ascended. I just closed my eyes and I listened.

01:08:06.000 --> 01:08:08.000
But holy precedes glory.

01:08:08.000 --> 01:08:14.000
If you read Isaiah 6-3, it says, holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty.

01:08:14.000 --> 01:08:17.000
Heaven and earth are filled with his glory.

01:08:17.000 --> 01:08:22.000
When it comes to sending, when it comes to kingdom, when it comes to glory,

01:08:22.000 --> 01:08:24.000
holy precedes it.

01:08:25.000 --> 01:08:29.000
If holiness is the excellence and the perfection of God moderator,

01:08:29.000 --> 01:08:32.000
glory is the public display of it.

01:08:32.000 --> 01:08:36.000
Hear me. If holiness is the excellence and the perfection of God,

01:08:36.000 --> 01:08:39.000
straight, pure, perfect, excellent,

01:08:39.000 --> 01:08:43.000
if that is what holiness is, then glory is the public display of it,

01:08:43.000 --> 01:08:46.000
saying come see, this is what it looks like.

01:08:46.000 --> 01:08:48.000
This is what it looks like in my life.

01:08:48.000 --> 01:08:50.000
This is what it looks like during worship.

01:08:50.000 --> 01:08:52.000
This is what it looks like in the way I treat my wife.

01:08:52.000 --> 01:08:55.520
This is what it looks like when Thuney walks in through the door. This is what it looks like

01:08:56.260 --> 01:08:58.260
Thuney you're done with the kids

01:08:58.700 --> 01:09:01.660
Okay, someone is taking care of them, right? Okay

01:09:03.340 --> 01:09:05.340
This is what it looks like

01:09:08.740 --> 01:09:10.740
Pardon

01:09:11.420 --> 01:09:14.000
Yeah, holy precedes glory

01:09:14.940 --> 01:09:17.320
Every time you want to send someone

01:09:18.100 --> 01:09:19.820
Holy

01:09:19.820 --> 01:09:27.360
Precedes glory you can't send someone in the name of Christ if their lives are not lives that have worked out holiness

01:09:27.640 --> 01:09:31.740
When it comes to the kingdom coming the kingdom has more traction

01:09:31.960 --> 01:09:36.620
When a people are holy as in the rule and the reign of God when you want to open ancient gates

01:09:36.680 --> 01:09:39.180
What's the requirement in Psalm 15 and Psalm 24?

01:09:39.820 --> 01:09:41.120
holiness

01:09:41.120 --> 01:09:46.040
Who shall who shall lift up these gates those whose hands are clean whose hearts are pure?

01:09:46.280 --> 01:09:48.560
At the end of the day every time God's

01:09:49.320 --> 01:09:50.700
persona God's

01:09:50.700 --> 01:09:55.360
Express nature God's brilliance God's radiance wants to camp somewhere

01:09:55.440 --> 01:10:00.280
What would he tell these lights in the Old Testament make sure I'm turning up in three days

01:10:00.280 --> 01:10:06.660
Make sure that the entire campus clean make sure that this is taken care of that is taken care of there's no

01:10:07.360 --> 01:10:13.920
Such act there's no this thing no that thing he had a whole set of rules and laws before he would turn up because he wanted

01:10:13.920 --> 01:10:15.920
the camp to be holy

01:10:16.120 --> 01:10:19.560
That was a physical way of demonstrating what he actually wanted

01:10:22.240 --> 01:10:24.240
Holy precepts glory go ahead

01:10:28.320 --> 01:10:32.760
Holiness is the perfect the perfection the excellence the

01:10:36.280 --> 01:10:39.880
Purity the straightness of God and so if I

01:10:40.400 --> 01:10:44.260
Consecrate myself for that then God expects me to walk in it

01:10:44.260 --> 01:10:51.320
And when I begin to walk in it like someone else said blessed as a pure for they shall see God God becomes so

01:10:51.800 --> 01:10:54.440
Normal in an environment created by that

01:10:54.440 --> 01:10:59.640
He's already created that environment by the blood of Christ and the cross of Christ so that he can live in us

01:11:00.220 --> 01:11:06.280
But to live in us is one thing to work with us to work through us is another thing and for that again

01:11:06.280 --> 01:11:12.600
He goes back to second Timothy to 20 in a wealthy Homer vessel some of gold and some of clay the good ones are used

01:11:12.600 --> 01:11:16.360
For guests the bad ones are kept away if you stay away from sin

01:11:16.360 --> 01:11:20.760
You're like a vessel of gold used for the very best used for Christ alone

01:11:21.800 --> 01:11:27.520
Why is he saying that if he already lives in me because when he wants to work through me when he wants to serve others

01:11:27.560 --> 01:11:29.620
Then he wants a vessel that is holy

01:11:29.620 --> 01:11:33.540
Because the vessel that is unclean will not be used by him to serve others

01:11:34.420 --> 01:11:40.920
Am I unclean? I don't mean imperfect unclean as in when I make it a practice to live a life that is

01:11:42.500 --> 01:11:46.820
Deliberately intentionally unclean when it's become a practice

01:11:48.020 --> 01:11:53.780
God always looks at which way I'm leaning if this is the clean side and this is the unclean side

01:11:53.780 --> 01:11:56.820
He just wants to know that I'm leaning this way if I'm leaning this way

01:11:56.900 --> 01:11:59.780
He just wants to know that I'm leaning this way if I'm leaning this way

01:12:00.340 --> 01:12:05.620
He'll take me this way man. And if I'm leaning this way, he'll take me this way. Sometimes when I sin now my

01:12:06.420 --> 01:12:11.060
Conversation with God is father. I'm surprised that there was a desire to sin

01:12:11.780 --> 01:12:18.420
Where's the desire from my feeding myself stuff? Am I thinking am I behaving a certain way where I'm not dealing with it?

01:12:20.500 --> 01:12:22.500
Like today when I was coming to church

01:12:23.460 --> 01:12:28.580
Someone cut me off again and I just shook my head like this and I was hoping he would catch me shaking my head

01:12:29.220 --> 01:12:34.580
And I realized immediately three things at work one anger two pride three shame

01:12:36.020 --> 01:12:40.020
As in shame as in who are you to humiliate me like that two pride?

01:12:40.340 --> 01:12:46.420
Who are you to humiliate me like that three anger? Who are you to humiliate me like that three things anger shame pride?

01:12:46.660 --> 01:12:48.660
I'm thinking to myself Jacob. How long?

01:12:49.220 --> 01:12:54.340
This has been going on for years how long how long what in this

01:12:55.700 --> 01:12:58.580
Comes from the exact imprint of the nature of christ what?

01:12:59.860 --> 01:13:01.860
How long?

01:13:02.580 --> 01:13:04.500
Which way do you want to lean?

01:13:04.500 --> 01:13:07.940
I said father I want to lean this way. I want to be free of it when

01:13:08.100 --> 01:13:12.180
Tony was singing a song and it said these things are of the past I thought yes

01:13:12.340 --> 01:13:18.180
Abides of the past it's not going to happen again. And if it happens again, I'll stand up and say it's not going to happen again again

01:13:19.540 --> 01:13:21.540
Because we keep leaning on to one side. Yeah

01:13:22.980 --> 01:13:26.500
These are the things that we I should be rid of by now anger shame pride

01:13:28.260 --> 01:13:33.720
What in the nature of christ has that to do with me he who lives in me and I who live in him what commonality

01:13:36.580 --> 01:13:40.100
That's the kind of thing that should rise in us so that we begin to fall one way

01:13:42.340 --> 01:13:45.540
When you sit on a fence whichever side you're leaning to is where you fall

01:13:48.980 --> 01:13:50.980
So

01:13:59.380 --> 01:14:01.380
You know the trick is not to

01:14:02.180 --> 01:14:03.140
the

01:14:03.140 --> 01:14:07.780
Glory if glory is to be made visible then the foundation

01:14:08.580 --> 01:14:10.660
Should be holiness

01:14:10.660 --> 01:14:12.660
in a church like this

01:14:12.660 --> 01:14:16.820
That's why god says to act 29 be holy for your father in heaven is holy

01:14:18.660 --> 01:14:20.660
Finally

01:14:20.660 --> 01:14:23.380
Hey at the end of the day when you want to change

01:14:23.940 --> 01:14:27.860
Sin for something good look to god. Eh, don't try to

01:14:28.420 --> 01:14:30.420
Look to your sin and try to correct it

01:14:30.820 --> 01:14:35.780
Focus your attention on the holy one and he usually has the ability to change your heart

01:14:36.180 --> 01:14:39.860
It's it's one thing to change sin. It's another thing to have your heart changed

01:14:42.420 --> 01:14:46.980
Sometimes when your child is upset you just have to hold the child and the child looks at your face

01:14:46.980 --> 01:14:50.420
Because it sees mommy's face again or dad's face again and it's enough

01:14:51.700 --> 01:14:53.700
It's enough

01:14:53.700 --> 01:14:58.920
Tears are forgotten the wrong is forgotten. The discipline is forgotten and the child is back
