00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:04.000
But this time around, if you want a title for this,

00:00:04.000 --> 00:00:07.000
teaching it's Enemy at the Gate, Enemy at the Gate,

00:00:07.000 --> 00:00:10.000
and the reason I titled it that way was because

00:00:10.000 --> 00:00:15.000
there's a common enemy that priests, prophets, and kings face.

00:00:15.000 --> 00:00:25.000
So there's a common enemy of priests, prophets, kings,

00:00:25.000 --> 00:00:30.000
and it's Jezebel.

00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:36.000
Jezebel.

00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:41.000
And Elijah faced Jezebel.

00:00:41.000 --> 00:00:45.000
Jehu faced Jezebel.

00:00:45.000 --> 00:00:51.000
Theatria of the Church in Thyatria faced Jezebel.

00:00:51.000 --> 00:00:54.000
Ahab the King faced Jezebel.

00:00:54.000 --> 00:00:56.000
Priests, prophets, and kings at some point,

00:00:56.000 --> 00:01:00.000
as they begin to come into their own, will face Jezebel.

00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:02.000
And therefore, if priests, prophets, and kings,

00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:06.000
and that is who we are, have a common enemy at the gate,

00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:14.000
at some point it will show itself up in a congregation

00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:19.000
and will try to harm.

00:01:19.000 --> 00:01:25.000
And so today we just want to expose it and undo it.

00:01:25.000 --> 00:01:28.000
So it is a spirit that influences...

00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:31.000
Jacob, how can you call it a spirit when it was a real person in the Old Testament

00:01:31.000 --> 00:01:34.000
and a real person in the New Testament?

00:01:34.000 --> 00:01:42.000
Because Jesus addresses Jezebel in the New Testament as an influence

00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:49.000
and it's coming through a person that is affecting, destroying a congregation.

00:01:49.000 --> 00:01:52.000
Samar... okay, you're fine there, right?

00:01:52.000 --> 00:01:56.000
That is affecting and destroying a congregation.

00:01:56.000 --> 00:02:00.000
The name of the person in the New Testament church was Jezebel.

00:02:00.000 --> 00:02:02.000
Nobody names their daughter Jezebel.

00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:05.000
Like, nobody in Vancouver would name their son Maple Leaf.

00:02:05.000 --> 00:02:07.000
It would be as absurd as that.

00:02:07.000 --> 00:02:10.000
And by the way, they lost yesterday to the Canucks.

00:02:10.000 --> 00:02:13.000
But that's another story. I don't want to bring that up with Evan sitting here.

00:02:13.000 --> 00:02:17.000
But the point is this, that nobody names their daughter Jezebel.

00:02:17.000 --> 00:02:24.000
So in the New Testament, when Jesus is addressing the church and is pointing at Jezebel,

00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:28.000
what he's trying to say is there's an influence like the Jezebel in the Old Testament

00:02:28.000 --> 00:02:32.000
that is at present prevalent in your church and it's destroying you.

00:02:32.000 --> 00:02:37.000
And if you don't take charge, I will both destroy her and I will hold you accountable.

00:02:37.000 --> 00:02:40.000
So it is a spirit.

00:02:40.000 --> 00:02:48.000
And it is one of the few spirits that has this ability to come against priest, prophet, and king

00:02:48.000 --> 00:02:54.000
and undo a kingdom or undo a people, undo a congregation.

00:02:57.000 --> 00:03:03.000
It is a genderless thing, so it works through men and women.

00:03:03.000 --> 00:03:15.000
But we have to account for the fact that it works easily or easier through women,

00:03:15.000 --> 00:03:20.000
though because it's a spirit, it does not, gender doesn't matter.

00:03:20.000 --> 00:03:41.000
So it can use me to harm you, it can use me to harm us, it can also use you.

00:03:41.000 --> 00:03:50.000
And it can attack you, it can attack me, it can attack the church.

00:03:54.000 --> 00:04:02.000
One caution I want to bring up as we talk about this is it's very possible when we talk about topics like this

00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:08.000
that you may think I'm talking about you or you may hear me use a word that I may have used

00:04:08.000 --> 00:04:13.000
when I spoke to you yesterday or the day before or a week ago and you may begin to think,

00:04:13.000 --> 00:04:15.000
oh, Jacob is referring to me.

00:04:15.000 --> 00:04:20.000
I want you to be absolutely confident that when I prepared this message it was ages ago

00:04:20.000 --> 00:04:24.000
and it doesn't reflect anything that has happened in the last little while.

00:04:24.000 --> 00:04:29.000
So you've got to be free of that condemnation that maybe he's saying something about me.

00:04:29.000 --> 00:04:31.000
I'm not.

00:04:31.000 --> 00:04:38.000
Yeah, but if you feel like that, shake off the condemnation and then see if there's any need for conviction.

00:04:38.000 --> 00:04:43.000
Shake off the condemnation and see if there's any need for conviction.

00:04:43.000 --> 00:04:48.000
Because this topic might always bring up something in me that kind of matches Jezebel

00:04:48.000 --> 00:04:54.000
and at times like that, shake off the condemnation, seek conviction.

00:04:54.000 --> 00:04:57.000
So that's one caution.

00:04:57.000 --> 00:05:05.000
The second, one of the reasons, I spent almost a sleepless night asking God,

00:05:05.000 --> 00:05:07.000
why do you want us to talk about this?

00:05:07.000 --> 00:05:09.000
Because I got notes on priests.

00:05:09.000 --> 00:05:18.000
I heard what Derek spoke last Sunday and it was his, yeah, I was just going to say that his passion came through.

00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:20.000
It was very good.

00:05:20.000 --> 00:05:24.000
And I mentioned that to him and I was really blessed hearing that.

00:05:24.000 --> 00:05:26.000
I was thinking we'll go along the same line.

00:05:26.000 --> 00:05:27.000
So why come up with this?

00:05:27.000 --> 00:05:29.000
And right from last night, I've been struggling with this.

00:05:29.000 --> 00:05:32.000
And one of the things God is saying is I want you to know where you are.

00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:36.000
Therefore, I also want you to be aware that because of where you are,

00:05:36.000 --> 00:05:39.000
these things are going to happen and you need to take charge of it.

00:05:39.000 --> 00:05:42.000
So where we are is Psalm 114.

00:05:42.000 --> 00:05:48.000
Psalm 114.

00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:50.000
Psalm 114.

00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:55.000
Let me read the first verse from King James, the second verse from the message,

00:05:55.000 --> 00:06:01.000
and then the seventh verse to give you an idea of where we are.

00:06:01.000 --> 00:06:07.000
So I'd like to say that Acts 29 has come out of Egypt

00:06:07.000 --> 00:06:13.000
and has come out of people with strange language or strange foreign ways.

00:06:13.000 --> 00:06:18.000
As in God is saying, listen, I brought you to a place where I pulled you out of bondage

00:06:18.000 --> 00:06:25.000
and I brought you to a place where you're no longer like the culture around you.

00:06:25.000 --> 00:06:28.000
And he's never said this, at least to me, about us before,

00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:31.000
that I've brought you out of a place of bondage.

00:06:31.000 --> 00:06:33.000
It doesn't mean that there are no places of bondage in our lives,

00:06:33.000 --> 00:06:37.000
but he's taught us how to work ourselves out of bondage.

00:06:37.000 --> 00:06:42.000
Anybody and everybody in this congregation has the ability or the help

00:06:42.000 --> 00:06:47.000
or the knowledge and the access to the Holy Spirit to come out of bondage.

00:06:47.000 --> 00:06:50.000
It is possible in this church. So that's one.

00:06:50.000 --> 00:06:54.000
The second part is that I have removed you from a people of strange languages,

00:06:54.000 --> 00:06:58.000
as in you are no longer a part of the culture.

00:06:58.000 --> 00:07:01.000
And one of the things Jezebel does is she brings confusion

00:07:01.000 --> 00:07:06.000
so that you don't know what to embrace and what to resist from culture.

00:07:06.000 --> 00:07:08.000
But that we'll talk about later.

00:07:08.000 --> 00:07:11.000
So these are two things that God has already done.

00:07:11.000 --> 00:07:12.000
And then he goes to verse two.

00:07:12.000 --> 00:07:15.000
I want to read verse two from the message to give you an idea of what God is saying.

00:07:16.000 --> 00:07:21.000
Hey guys, see, sometimes when I use words like, listen to what God is saying,

00:07:21.000 --> 00:07:23.000
I actually mean it.

00:07:23.000 --> 00:07:26.000
And I stand before God before I say this in the congregation.

00:07:26.000 --> 00:07:30.000
Because to say that God is saying something when he actually didn't say it

00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:34.000
or when Jacob dreamt it up is a dangerous thing for Jacob himself.

00:07:34.000 --> 00:07:36.000
Leave alone for the rest of us.

00:07:36.000 --> 00:07:41.000
So when I say this, it comes across casually, but it's not casual.

00:07:41.000 --> 00:07:44.000
It is almost like a...

00:07:47.000 --> 00:07:50.000
How best to put it without sounding boastful?

00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:55.000
It's almost like a direct word from God saying, listen, this is your present status.

00:07:55.000 --> 00:07:58.000
And so the second word is there from the message, puts it this way.

00:07:58.000 --> 00:08:01.000
And this is God saying it to us, not to me, to us.

00:08:01.000 --> 00:08:02.000
Here's what he's saying.

00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:05.000
You have become a holy land for me.

00:08:05.000 --> 00:08:07.000
You have become a place of holy rule.

00:08:07.000 --> 00:08:09.000
You have become a holy land for me.

00:08:09.000 --> 00:08:11.000
You have become a place of holy rule.

00:08:11.000 --> 00:08:19.000
In the Psalm 114 verse 2 says, Judah has become a holy place for me to dwell.

00:08:19.000 --> 00:08:22.000
And Judah has become a place for my holy rule.

00:08:22.000 --> 00:08:24.000
He's brought us to that place.

00:08:24.000 --> 00:08:25.000
He thinks like this.

00:08:25.000 --> 00:08:29.000
From his perspective, he's already thinking of us like this.

00:08:29.000 --> 00:08:31.000
From our perspective, we don't.

00:08:31.000 --> 00:08:33.000
Or we struggle to.

00:08:33.000 --> 00:08:37.000
One of the easiest ways to believe things is to start thinking like it.

00:08:37.000 --> 00:08:41.000
You don't believe things by exerting faith first.

00:08:41.000 --> 00:08:44.000
You believe things by thinking like God.

00:08:44.000 --> 00:08:49.000
Once you begin to think like God, then faith is very easy.

00:08:53.000 --> 00:08:56.000
Which is why I said look at the message because I go over every verse

00:08:56.000 --> 00:08:59.000
and trying to see is there anything else that you want to say.

00:08:59.000 --> 00:09:01.000
Acts 29 became holy land for him.

00:09:01.000 --> 00:09:03.000
Israel the place.

00:09:03.000 --> 00:09:06.000
Sorry, Acts 29 became holy land for him.

00:09:06.000 --> 00:09:10.000
And Acts 29 became a place of his holy rule.

00:09:13.000 --> 00:09:14.000
Then verse 7.

00:09:16.000 --> 00:09:20.000
Verse 7 says, tremble earth.

00:09:22.000 --> 00:09:25.000
You're in the Lord's presence, in the presence of Jacob's God.

00:09:25.000 --> 00:09:27.000
Tremble earth.

00:09:27.000 --> 00:09:29.000
As in earth.

00:09:31.000 --> 00:09:32.000
Take note.

00:09:33.000 --> 00:09:37.000
This group of people, I dwell amongst them.

00:09:37.000 --> 00:09:39.000
Start trembling.

00:09:39.000 --> 00:09:44.000
Because what I'll do through them will shake the earth.

00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:49.000
These are terribly boastful presumptuous things if they were not from God.

00:09:52.000 --> 00:09:53.000
Delusional.

00:09:56.000 --> 00:09:58.000
But tremble earth.

00:09:59.000 --> 00:10:03.000
Because this is a place of my presence.

00:10:05.000 --> 00:10:11.000
With these people, and he's talking about this group of people and any other people connected.

00:10:11.000 --> 00:10:14.000
It will spread. It is like the body.

00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:20.000
Pain here and you feel it here and here and here and here.

00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:22.000
I don't know how it spreads.

00:10:24.000 --> 00:10:26.000
This is where we are at.

00:10:26.000 --> 00:10:30.000
It's very hard to accept on a normal day except when we're talking like this.

00:10:30.000 --> 00:10:32.000
But I'm hoping we can think like this.

00:10:32.000 --> 00:10:33.000
Thinking like this helps you believe it.

00:10:33.000 --> 00:10:35.000
This is where we are at.

00:10:37.000 --> 00:10:39.000
This is the...

00:10:39.000 --> 00:10:41.000
We won't get through this today.

00:10:41.000 --> 00:10:44.000
Even though the Chinese congregation is not coming.

00:10:44.000 --> 00:10:47.000
Because I can only go till 2.30. How much further can you go?

00:10:47.000 --> 00:10:49.000
Mei is not here.

00:10:49.000 --> 00:10:53.000
She's got a football game this afternoon.

00:10:56.000 --> 00:10:58.000
So here's the thing guys.

00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:00.000
There's something...

00:11:00.000 --> 00:11:05.000
Some of you who have been here for 10, 15 years used to hear this word a lot in the past.

00:11:05.000 --> 00:11:07.000
Present truth.

00:11:07.000 --> 00:11:14.000
Present truth is the truth that God is revealing at this time to the church.

00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:16.000
It is not new truth.

00:11:16.000 --> 00:11:19.000
It is old things that he's picking up and revealing.

00:11:19.000 --> 00:11:23.000
It's like a parent who got a whole lot of gifts for the kids for Christmas.

00:11:23.000 --> 00:11:28.000
When a kid thinks they only got a car and then after they break the car a plane comes out.

00:11:28.000 --> 00:11:30.000
After they break the plane a camera comes out.

00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:34.000
It's like old truths that are being revealed presently.

00:11:34.000 --> 00:11:35.000
This is the present truth.

00:11:35.000 --> 00:11:37.000
This is where we are at.

00:11:37.000 --> 00:11:39.000
If you're able to receive it, great.

00:11:39.000 --> 00:11:41.000
If you're not able to receive it, grapple with it.

00:11:41.000 --> 00:11:43.000
Wrestle with it.

00:11:43.000 --> 00:11:45.000
If you're a leader, you don't have a choice.

00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:47.000
You better receive it.

00:11:47.000 --> 00:11:52.000
Because otherwise you won't be able to walk in it.

00:11:52.000 --> 00:12:01.000
So given that as our present condition, this is why this is a great time for you to join this church.

00:12:01.000 --> 00:12:06.000
In fact, we should charge you.

00:12:06.000 --> 00:12:16.000
But because of a time like this, Jezebel is also presently active to thwart this.

00:12:16.000 --> 00:12:26.000
Jezebel is presently active to thwart this.

00:12:26.000 --> 00:12:27.000
Thwart what?

00:12:27.000 --> 00:12:28.000
Thwart the presence of God.

00:12:28.000 --> 00:12:31.000
Choke out the life of God.

00:12:31.000 --> 00:12:33.000
Use me.

00:12:33.000 --> 00:12:34.000
Use me or use you.

00:12:34.000 --> 00:12:37.000
Attack me or attack you.

00:12:37.000 --> 00:12:42.000
Therefore an exposure of the enemy is a good idea.

00:12:42.000 --> 00:12:45.000
Any questions on that before we go on?

00:12:45.000 --> 00:12:48.000
Any questions on that before we go on?

00:12:48.000 --> 00:13:01.000
The way Jezebel works is attack the congregation and in the process affect individuals.

00:13:01.000 --> 00:13:11.000
Or attack leadership and in the process affect individuals.

00:13:11.000 --> 00:13:15.000
Or attack leadership and in the process affect individuals.

00:13:15.000 --> 00:13:24.000
The great thing about the Bible being a historical record of what God did is that we know the strategy the enemy uses.

00:13:25.000 --> 00:13:31.000
Therefore these are the two methods that Jezebel uses, both in the Old and the New Testament.

00:13:31.000 --> 00:13:39.000
Attack the congregation as in seduce through false ways and teachings the congregation so that you can compromise the congregation.

00:13:39.000 --> 00:13:44.000
Or attack the leaders and gain influence with them so that individuals are affected.

00:13:44.000 --> 00:13:47.000
These are the two ways Jezebel always works.

00:13:47.000 --> 00:13:49.000
Any questions?

00:13:50.000 --> 00:13:58.000
And this spirit has, one of the odd things about this spirit is, I don't even want to call it a spirit.

00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:03.000
I want to call it something larger than just an ordinary spirit.

00:14:03.000 --> 00:14:04.000
Let's call it a power.

00:14:04.000 --> 00:14:16.000
This power has the ability to give tremendous strength to individuals to defy God, to defy the people of God and defy priests, prophets and kings.

00:14:16.000 --> 00:14:18.000
Which all of us are.

00:14:18.000 --> 00:14:22.000
It empowers like crazy.

00:14:22.000 --> 00:14:35.000
It allows a person or a group of people to go against God's plans, God's people and God's appointed leaders.

00:14:35.000 --> 00:14:38.000
It has the ability.

00:14:38.000 --> 00:14:40.000
It has the ability.

00:14:40.000 --> 00:14:45.000
Some of the things we have to be careful of in the Bible, and I'm going off topic here.

00:14:45.000 --> 00:14:50.000
The Antichrist spirit, Legion, Jezebel,

00:14:52.000 --> 00:14:54.000
There's one more.

00:14:58.000 --> 00:14:59.000
Forgot.

00:14:59.000 --> 00:15:01.000
Leviathan.

00:15:01.000 --> 00:15:05.000
Antichrist spirit, Legion, Jezebel, Leviathan.

00:15:05.000 --> 00:15:08.000
These are four powers that are pretty powerful.

00:15:08.000 --> 00:15:28.000
And all four have the ability to cause a person or a group of people to defy God, to go up against the things of God, the people of God, the leaders of God, with a defiance that is humanly not natural.

00:15:35.000 --> 00:15:45.000
They can say things that are pretty strong, that we wouldn't do with our parents or with our bosses or with anybody.

00:15:45.000 --> 00:15:47.000
They are pretty strong with that.

00:15:47.000 --> 00:15:49.000
Just be aware of that.

00:15:49.000 --> 00:15:50.000
Yeah.

00:15:50.000 --> 00:15:51.000
Yeah.

00:15:51.000 --> 00:16:02.000
So Jezebel is out to destroy kingdoms.

00:16:02.000 --> 00:16:11.000
So Jezebel attacks leaders or a people as a whole or goes after a people as a whole.

00:16:11.000 --> 00:16:15.000
Can I seduce an entire group of people to compromise?

00:16:15.000 --> 00:16:19.000
Can I bring them into a place of sexual immorality, that or idolatry?

00:16:19.000 --> 00:16:25.000
The two things that the Jerusalem Council said, do not engage in to the Gentiles.

00:16:25.000 --> 00:16:30.000
Those were the prevalent sins at that time that the church spoke out against.

00:16:30.000 --> 00:16:32.000
Now it can be something else.

00:16:32.000 --> 00:16:40.000
It is this inability to resist or say no to secular culture and the things of culture around us.

00:16:40.000 --> 00:16:51.000
And so if I can get an entire congregation, then Moses and Aaron or Joshua and Caleb are singled out.

00:16:51.000 --> 00:16:57.000
They don't have much play now because now the entire congregation is ready to stone them.

00:16:57.000 --> 00:16:58.000
Or they go after leaders.

00:16:58.000 --> 00:17:02.000
In Thyatira, Jezebel had influence with leaders.

00:17:02.000 --> 00:17:06.000
In Revelation 2 it talks about it.

00:17:06.000 --> 00:17:16.000
Because it is impossible in a fledgling church and the New Testament church that was set up then for a woman to have that much influence,

00:17:16.000 --> 00:17:21.000
where she was now seducing with her teachings people into immorality and idolatry.

00:17:21.000 --> 00:17:24.000
Unless there was room with the leaders.

00:17:24.000 --> 00:17:26.000
So it's not after individuals.

00:17:26.000 --> 00:17:31.000
It is after, if it is ever after individuals, it is to destroy a people.

00:17:31.000 --> 00:17:37.000
Jezebel in the Old Testament brought a nation to apostasy.

00:17:37.000 --> 00:17:40.000
You're talking about God's chosen nation.

00:17:40.000 --> 00:17:43.000
Think of the enormity of what we're dealing with.

00:17:43.000 --> 00:17:50.000
As much as God's presence and his influence is in the nation,

00:17:50.000 --> 00:18:02.000
as much as God's presence and his holy rule and his holy resting place is this congregation and the connections beyond this congregation,

00:18:02.000 --> 00:18:09.000
we must also be aware of the present reality of a power called Jezebel who is active now.

00:18:09.000 --> 00:18:11.000
I wouldn't bring this up if it was something in the future.

00:18:11.000 --> 00:18:13.000
I'm talking about it because it's important now.

00:18:14.000 --> 00:18:23.000
This is, what is it when something doesn't fit in the flow of things?

00:18:23.000 --> 00:18:25.000
It starts with anomaly.

00:18:25.000 --> 00:18:28.000
This is an anomaly in terms of the teaching.

00:18:28.000 --> 00:18:37.000
But it is because it's the present reality and it must be exposed and violently taken care of.

00:18:37.000 --> 00:18:46.000
It had the power to bring a nation that Yahweh chose for himself to a place of absolute apostasy.

00:18:46.000 --> 00:18:49.000
It had the power to ruin the king of that nation

00:18:49.000 --> 00:18:57.000
and it had the power to cause the prophet of the nation to flee and to resign and to disappear.

00:19:04.000 --> 00:19:06.000
So Jezebel, what is the point of this teaching then?

00:19:06.000 --> 00:19:10.000
It is to make us aware. So once you're aware, you're guarded.

00:19:10.000 --> 00:19:15.000
And then, when necessary, take a stance together.

00:19:15.000 --> 00:19:17.000
Where? In the church?

00:19:17.000 --> 00:19:21.000
Not really because when we say in the church, we think of a Sunday morning.

00:19:21.000 --> 00:19:28.000
In your lives, in your marriages, in your homes, in your interactions with each other, in my interactions with you,

00:19:28.000 --> 00:19:33.000
in your interactions with me, in your interactions with leaders, in leaders' interactions with you.

00:19:36.000 --> 00:19:42.000
In terms of what and how we discuss teachings, what and how we discuss people around us.

00:19:46.000 --> 00:19:50.000
This is a time when this will be very active and I'm cutting its head off.

00:19:50.000 --> 00:19:54.000
That's part of my responsibility, right?

00:19:54.000 --> 00:19:59.000
At least, the Book of Acts and Paul in his epistle says so.

00:19:59.000 --> 00:20:09.000
So if you go to Acts 16, 16, that's one of the places in the New Testament where you see the beginning of this.

00:20:09.000 --> 00:20:18.000
In Acts 16, 16, you find that there's a woman with a spirit of divination.

00:20:18.000 --> 00:20:24.000
Divination is the ability to extract and foretell the future using other supernatural powers.

00:20:24.000 --> 00:20:31.000
The spirit of divination is also called Python.

00:20:33.000 --> 00:20:35.000
And why was it called Python?

00:20:35.000 --> 00:20:43.520
Because Python was a mythical serpent that had the ability to predict the future through a process called the

00:20:43.520 --> 00:20:52.520
That had the ability to predict the future through a priestess in Delphi, which was where Paul now finds himself.

00:20:52.520 --> 00:20:58.520
And this girl who has the spirit of divination is walking around the city saying these are men of the Most High God.

00:20:58.520 --> 00:21:04.520
And she's trying to predict the future under the power of a spirit of divination.

00:21:06.520 --> 00:21:10.520
And in that place were caves and these were called the Caves of Delphi.

00:21:10.520 --> 00:21:15.520
And there was a priestess who operated under the power of this python and began would speak.

00:21:15.520 --> 00:21:18.520
So the spirit of divination is also in the Bible.

00:21:18.520 --> 00:21:23.520
I'm not pulling out this from any Greek mythology or anything in the Bible.

00:21:23.520 --> 00:21:25.520
It's called the spirit of Python.

00:21:26.520 --> 00:21:39.520
The spirit of divination in 1 Samuel 15, 23 is the same as rebellion.

00:21:39.520 --> 00:21:42.520
Divination is as unto.

00:21:44.520 --> 00:21:47.520
Yeah, witchcraft and divination are the same thing.

00:21:47.520 --> 00:21:50.520
Witchcraft is as unto rebellion.

00:21:51.520 --> 00:21:55.520
Rebellion is being an authority to oneself.

00:21:58.520 --> 00:22:01.520
That's what the basic definition of rebellion is.

00:22:03.520 --> 00:22:05.520
Being an authority to oneself.

00:22:07.520 --> 00:22:14.520
You see that in Isaiah 30 verse 1 and 2.

00:22:21.520 --> 00:22:27.520
So one of the things we have to be careful of during this time is that let me speak from just my perspective.

00:22:27.520 --> 00:22:30.520
I have to be careful not to be an authority unto myself.

00:22:30.520 --> 00:22:36.520
And it's easy for someone who leads a congregation to become an authority unto himself.

00:22:36.520 --> 00:22:38.520
So I've got to be careful of that.

00:22:40.520 --> 00:22:43.520
It applies to you too, but I don't want to, with this message I have to be careful.

00:22:43.520 --> 00:22:47.520
I've been pleading with God, Father, let this message not condemn.

00:22:47.520 --> 00:22:51.520
So that's why I'm using myself as an example, though I prefer using you as an example.

00:22:55.520 --> 00:22:59.520
So one of the things I have to guard against is being an authority unto myself.

00:22:59.520 --> 00:23:03.520
Because the moment I'm an authority unto myself, I come into a place of rebellion.

00:23:04.520 --> 00:23:11.520
I come into a place of rebellion against God and rebellion against what is biblical and rebellion against...

00:23:12.520 --> 00:23:16.520
I don't have to rebel against the body, but I see the body as less important to me.

00:23:16.520 --> 00:23:21.520
Because I'm the guy who decides what needs to happen and who are you to tell me.

00:23:28.520 --> 00:23:31.520
So we've got to guard against this at this present time.

00:23:32.520 --> 00:23:39.520
And just as Jezebel comes against a congregation, you think Jesus isn't smarter.

00:23:39.520 --> 00:23:43.520
What do you think he's doing now? Building up a congregation so that the individuals are preserved.

00:23:43.520 --> 00:23:45.520
That's what we're doing.

00:23:47.520 --> 00:23:52.520
Just as Jezebel comes against a congregation to target the individual, what do you think Jesus is doing now?

00:23:52.520 --> 00:23:58.520
He's teaching us together as a congregation to build up the individual so that we're not taken.

00:24:04.520 --> 00:24:07.520
I'm not an authority unto myself, I'm here to serve.

00:24:08.520 --> 00:24:15.520
So just as Jezebel attacks a congregation to hunt down individuals,

00:24:15.520 --> 00:24:19.520
so Jesus, what do you think he's doing right now?

00:24:19.520 --> 00:24:25.520
Building up a congregation, teaching a congregation so that each individual can be built up.

00:24:25.520 --> 00:24:29.520
And once that happens, we are reinforced against such evil.

00:24:29.520 --> 00:24:35.520
And that's why even though it's great that house churches meet and do their things,

00:24:35.520 --> 00:24:40.520
times like this on a Sunday are important for the house churches to meet together and get common direction.

00:24:43.520 --> 00:24:48.520
Because sometimes people wonder, why can't we just stay in house churches? Not you, others wonder.

00:24:49.520 --> 00:24:58.520
One of the things that happens with the Spirit is it distorts or silences the voice of the prophetic.

00:25:05.520 --> 00:25:12.520
It restricts the liberty of the Spirit.

00:25:17.520 --> 00:25:24.520
It depletes resources in a church, both manpower and money.

00:25:26.520 --> 00:25:28.520
I'll explain how.

00:25:29.520 --> 00:25:32.520
So it distorts and silences the voice of the prophetic.

00:25:32.520 --> 00:25:35.520
It either distorts by bringing in...

00:25:35.520 --> 00:25:42.520
Guys, one of the things that happens with this power is it sees if it can be tolerated,

00:25:42.520 --> 00:25:51.520
not paid attention to, so that it slowly begins to permeate lives.

00:25:51.520 --> 00:25:55.520
So whenever the prophetic happens in this church for the next little while,

00:25:55.520 --> 00:25:58.520
let's wait and see if it's accurate.

00:26:00.520 --> 00:26:02.520
Let's wait and see if it's accurate.

00:26:03.520 --> 00:26:05.520
Because this church is prophetic.

00:26:05.520 --> 00:26:07.520
And what do I mean by this church is prophetic?

00:26:07.520 --> 00:26:12.520
All I mean is most people who come to this church learn how to hear God.

00:26:13.520 --> 00:26:19.520
And at the end of the day, hearing God is what makes us able to convey the heart and the will of God.

00:26:21.520 --> 00:26:23.520
So this church does that quite naturally.

00:26:24.520 --> 00:26:29.520
It's almost like if you come into this congregation, it's natural for you to at some point begin to behave like that.

00:26:29.520 --> 00:26:35.520
But with that, that's why this power targets churches like this,

00:26:35.520 --> 00:26:38.520
because this power wants to see if the prophetic can be distorted.

00:26:39.520 --> 00:26:46.520
Can the will and the desire and the words and the heart of God that is being conveyed on the spot to people

00:26:46.520 --> 00:26:52.520
changing their destinies around in a second, because that's how God works, proceeding word.

00:26:52.520 --> 00:26:58.520
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, instantly turning lives around.

00:26:59.520 --> 00:27:03.520
Can I contaminate this, pollute this, make this river muddy,

00:27:03.520 --> 00:27:07.520
so that what comes out of it becomes more and more difficult to fathom?

00:27:07.520 --> 00:27:11.520
Because you don't know if it is sanctified flesh speaking or really the Holy Spirit speaking.

00:27:11.520 --> 00:27:16.520
You don't know if it is just a whole bunch of words that are put together or there's something concrete in it.

00:27:17.520 --> 00:27:26.520
You don't know whether it's a key that is meant for a particular door or a set of keys that leaves you as immobile as you were before you started.

00:27:28.520 --> 00:27:32.520
We must get sharper at a time like this, because the Spirit will try to dull us.

00:27:37.520 --> 00:27:43.520
Sharper in your hearing, sharper in the words you speak, being concise in the words you say,

00:27:43.520 --> 00:27:45.520
so that what comes out is helpful.

00:27:47.520 --> 00:27:49.520
If I say stuff that you have to take home and say,

00:27:49.520 --> 00:27:55.520
my God, I'm sure there was a nugget there, but to find that is going to take me a year, then I'm not doing you any good.

00:27:59.520 --> 00:28:01.520
Show me also the message.

00:28:05.520 --> 00:28:07.520
Sitting here under my nose and texting each other.

00:28:13.520 --> 00:28:16.520
What he is saying, I was sitting here just like that.

00:28:16.520 --> 00:28:17.520
Should I read it out?

00:28:17.520 --> 00:28:18.520
Sure.

00:28:23.520 --> 00:28:25.520
I think you guys should go back to the unholy side.

00:28:33.520 --> 00:28:35.520
Restricting the liberty of the Spirit.

00:28:43.520 --> 00:28:45.520
I think I need to drink some water.

00:28:55.520 --> 00:28:59.520
Restricting the liberty of the Spirit.

00:29:00.520 --> 00:29:03.520
Restricting the liberty of the Spirit.

00:29:04.520 --> 00:29:10.520
Taking away the freedom that people have with their Father.

00:29:10.520 --> 00:29:13.520
It's a redefinition of liberty in the Spirit.

00:29:14.520 --> 00:29:20.520
Most people think liberty in the Spirit is not being legalistic, being non-legalistic.

00:29:20.520 --> 00:29:23.520
That is the right direction.

00:29:23.520 --> 00:29:32.520
But getting to a place where you have liberty in the Spirit is having the freedom that one should have with their Father.

00:29:32.520 --> 00:29:35.520
With their Father who happens to be majestic God.

00:29:38.520 --> 00:29:42.520
And that is the desire of the Holy Spirit.

00:29:42.520 --> 00:29:45.520
Why did he first come into your life as soon as you got born again?

00:29:45.520 --> 00:29:48.520
So that out of you will come an intimate cry saying what?

00:29:48.520 --> 00:29:49.520
I'm a father.

00:29:49.520 --> 00:29:55.520
Not in that tone, but that was what was supposed to come out first.

00:29:55.520 --> 00:30:00.520
And so this power tries to restrict the freedom that one has with the Father.

00:30:00.520 --> 00:30:01.520
So what do we do?

00:30:01.520 --> 00:30:03.520
We go exactly the opposite way.

00:30:03.520 --> 00:30:08.520
One of the best things to do when something attacks you is go exactly in the opposite Spirit.

00:30:11.520 --> 00:30:13.520
And then it depletes resources in a church.

00:30:13.520 --> 00:30:17.520
As in it has us spend a lot of time taking care of the church.

00:30:17.520 --> 00:30:20.520
It has us spend a lot of time taking care of the church.

00:30:20.520 --> 00:30:22.520
It depletes resources in a church.

00:30:22.520 --> 00:30:29.520
As in it has us spend a lot of time taking care of or addressing things that aren't important.

00:30:29.520 --> 00:30:33.520
And so you end up depleting manpower and resources.

00:30:33.520 --> 00:30:38.520
And at a time like this we need to gather in and distill and prioritize.

00:30:38.520 --> 00:30:43.520
And I give you my word I'll do that because I'm responsible for that.

00:30:43.520 --> 00:30:46.520
And I've got enough people to help me with it.

00:30:47.520 --> 00:30:51.520
One of the mistakes I'm making, and I've got to be careful about this in the future,

00:30:51.520 --> 00:30:56.520
and I just want to say it out loud so that it's confessed and done,

00:30:56.520 --> 00:31:05.520
is I said some weeks ago that when people from other parts of the world come into this congregation

00:31:05.520 --> 00:31:09.520
and spend a week or so here, they are usually changed.

00:31:09.520 --> 00:31:15.520
They go back with a different hunger, thirst, desire, perspective of who God can be amongst the people

00:31:15.520 --> 00:31:16.520
and how God can be.

00:31:16.520 --> 00:31:20.520
And this is true. I've seen it in the last six months over a few lives.

00:31:20.520 --> 00:31:26.520
But we also have to be careful of people that we invite

00:31:26.520 --> 00:31:30.520
because some of them come to spy on our freedom as it says in Galatians 2, 4 and 5.

00:31:30.520 --> 00:31:32.520
And in the end it leaves us poor or not richer.

00:31:32.520 --> 00:31:39.520
It's like opening your treasures like Hezekiah did to people you don't need to show your treasures to.

00:31:39.520 --> 00:31:42.520
We've got to be a little more careful. And I made a mistake there.

00:31:42.520 --> 00:31:45.520
So I've got to be a little more careful on that one.

00:31:45.520 --> 00:31:48.520
Do you believe it's during the difference?

00:31:48.520 --> 00:31:53.520
One, the Spirit of God keeps telling you, don't make this mistake, don't make this mistake,

00:31:53.520 --> 00:31:56.520
don't make this mistake, and you make the mistake, and then you realize you made the mistake.

00:31:56.520 --> 00:31:58.520
So that's the easiest way.

00:31:58.520 --> 00:32:04.520
The second one is realizing after the person leaves that, ah shucks, this was not beneficial.

00:32:04.520 --> 00:32:07.520
This was fault-finding.

00:32:08.520 --> 00:32:11.520
There's no fruit out of it.

00:32:11.520 --> 00:32:17.520
At the end of the day, there should be fruit if people come here, the intent is fruit,

00:32:17.520 --> 00:32:22.520
and if there's no fruit, if it is fault-finding, then it was not very helpful.

00:32:22.520 --> 00:32:25.520
But God always stops us before.

00:32:25.520 --> 00:32:28.520
And please, we've got to understand this.

00:32:28.520 --> 00:32:32.520
When God tries to stop us, He makes it loud enough.

00:32:32.520 --> 00:32:36.520
A lack of hearing won't prevent you from hearing God's warning.

00:32:36.520 --> 00:32:38.520
This is a great thing about hearing.

00:32:38.520 --> 00:32:46.520
When it comes to warnings, a lack or an inability to hear never prevents you from being warned.

00:32:46.520 --> 00:32:53.520
Because God will use every method possible to warn you, but you don't catch on, like I didn't catch on.

00:32:58.520 --> 00:33:03.520
I saw it right off, but I was too full of myself.

00:33:04.520 --> 00:33:08.520
Pride is what usually prevents it, eh?

00:33:08.520 --> 00:33:14.520
Why did Hezekiah open all his treasures and show the Babylonian envoys?

00:33:14.520 --> 00:33:18.520
Pride, pride in what? Look what God has done with us.

00:33:22.520 --> 00:33:25.520
It is still, look what God has done with us.

00:33:25.520 --> 00:33:31.520
The boast is still in God, but in the process that pride enters, look what God has made us as a congregation.

00:33:31.520 --> 00:33:34.520
Look, we are the holy place He dwells in and rules from.

00:33:34.520 --> 00:33:37.520
And the moment that begins to take over, it's such a fine line.

00:33:37.520 --> 00:33:40.520
On one hand, we've got to think it, believe it, acknowledge it.

00:33:40.520 --> 00:33:43.520
On the other hand, we've got to not let pride take over.

00:33:43.520 --> 00:33:46.520
It is a fine line, and God will warn every time, eh?

00:33:53.520 --> 00:33:55.520
What does the word Jezebel mean?

00:33:55.520 --> 00:33:59.520
Jezebel means lacking covering.

00:34:02.520 --> 00:34:06.520
Lacking covering. Odd.

00:34:08.520 --> 00:34:16.520
Even though she was Ahab's wife, she lacked covering or was unhusbanded.

00:34:16.520 --> 00:34:23.520
She was a priestess, so her ability to be someone who was into witchcraft was natural,

00:34:23.520 --> 00:34:30.520
because her father was a guy called Etbal, the priest king of Sidon.

00:34:30.520 --> 00:34:33.520
So she was skilled in sorcery and divination.

00:34:33.520 --> 00:34:40.520
You can read about that in 2 Kings 9, 22, and 1 Kings 16, 31.

00:34:44.520 --> 00:34:47.520
And what's her main way of entering things?

00:34:47.520 --> 00:34:52.520
Her main way of entering things? Influence through alliances.

00:34:54.520 --> 00:34:56.520
Influence through alliances.

00:35:01.520 --> 00:35:06.520
So the method of entry is this toleration.

00:35:06.520 --> 00:35:09.520
Just a little thing wrong here.

00:35:09.520 --> 00:35:12.520
It's this thing of let it be.

00:35:15.520 --> 00:35:17.520
Permitted.

00:35:22.520 --> 00:35:32.520
So guys, over the next few months, let's be more intolerant of things in terms of truths,

00:35:32.520 --> 00:35:37.520
biblical ways of operating, words, thought.

00:35:39.520 --> 00:35:45.520
Ways of functioning. Let's be more intolerant, not permissive.

00:35:45.520 --> 00:35:48.520
Just to be on our guard.

00:35:48.520 --> 00:35:54.520
Be a little more circumspect on how you weigh things and allow things and disallow things.

00:35:56.520 --> 00:36:04.520
And allow me to be more intolerant too of things in the congregation and in your lives.

00:36:05.520 --> 00:36:12.520
Give me the freedom to be intolerant of things that come into the congregation and come into your lives.

00:36:12.520 --> 00:36:18.520
Because when it comes into a congregation, it's not some thing that's out there. The congregation is us.

00:36:18.520 --> 00:36:22.520
So we've got to be, allow me to be a little intolerant.

00:36:25.520 --> 00:36:28.520
As in, come on, Evan.

00:36:29.520 --> 00:36:31.520
Time to shift your thinking.

00:36:31.520 --> 00:36:33.520
Be intolerant.

00:36:36.520 --> 00:36:38.520
You know what I'm talking about, right?

00:36:38.520 --> 00:36:40.520
Pardon?

00:36:44.520 --> 00:36:47.520
This is what I have to deal with?

00:36:50.520 --> 00:36:58.520
The Thyatiran judgment of...

00:37:01.520 --> 00:37:03.520
Happy birthday, Pawan.

00:37:07.520 --> 00:37:09.520
What happened? Did you just doze off?

00:37:15.520 --> 00:37:17.520
Derek, what's happening there?

00:37:20.520 --> 00:37:22.520
He broke the pew?

00:37:25.520 --> 00:37:28.520
Violence against Jezebel.

00:37:29.520 --> 00:37:33.520
The Thyatiran judgment of Jezebel tells us a lot, eh?

00:37:37.520 --> 00:37:43.520
God is so violent. Jesus, let me make God a little more personal.

00:37:43.520 --> 00:37:51.520
Jesus is so violent against Jezebel that you almost think, where's the kind God we know?

00:37:52.520 --> 00:38:00.520
He says, listen, if you continue with her, I'll put you on a bed of pain and sickness.

00:38:00.520 --> 00:38:02.520
That's what he says.

00:38:02.520 --> 00:38:10.520
If you continue in your union with her, I'll put you on a bed of pain and sickness.

00:38:13.520 --> 00:38:18.520
And if you continue, despite that, I will kill your children.

00:38:19.520 --> 00:38:21.520
He's talking to the congregation.

00:38:27.520 --> 00:38:31.520
Let's read just so we know we're not pulling this out of nowhere.

00:38:31.520 --> 00:38:36.520
Let's go to Revelation 2.

00:38:36.520 --> 00:38:49.520
Verse 18. Let's see. Let's read from...

00:38:51.520 --> 00:38:53.520
Verse 20 onwards.

00:38:53.520 --> 00:38:59.520
But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess,

00:38:59.520 --> 00:39:05.520
and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols.

00:39:05.520 --> 00:39:08.520
So this is something God has against the church.

00:39:08.520 --> 00:39:13.520
Why is he now telling us this ahead of time? So that he doesn't have to take a stance against us.

00:39:14.520 --> 00:39:23.520
I have this against you, that you tolerate, as in accommodate, as in let be, as in give permission, as in not mind.

00:39:25.520 --> 00:39:28.520
You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess,

00:39:28.520 --> 00:39:33.520
so there is a degree of false prophecy in teaching that seduces people to do...

00:39:35.520 --> 00:39:39.520
that seduces people to do things that is wrong.

00:39:39.520 --> 00:39:43.520
Verse 21. I gave her time to repent.

00:39:43.520 --> 00:39:49.520
I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.

00:39:49.520 --> 00:39:54.520
So can you try during this time to walk in greater purity?

00:39:54.520 --> 00:39:57.520
That blazing purity becomes important to you.

00:39:57.520 --> 00:40:03.520
That he who, like it says in some scripture, he who steals should stop stealing.

00:40:03.520 --> 00:40:07.520
He who watches porn should make an attempt to stop watching porn.

00:40:07.520 --> 00:40:13.520
He who engages in sexual immorality in terms of thinking should stop.

00:40:13.520 --> 00:40:17.520
This is a time when you doing that will benefit all of us.

00:40:17.520 --> 00:40:20.520
Blazing purity would be a great idea.

00:40:25.520 --> 00:40:29.520
It's fun when a congregation learns how to beat these powers together.

00:40:29.520 --> 00:40:35.520
There is nothing like the one man called Christ, the body, and one man as in the corporate man.

00:40:35.520 --> 00:40:39.520
There is nothing like when the church aligns itself with the purposes of God.

00:40:39.520 --> 00:40:43.520
It is so hard to beat a church like that. So hard.

00:40:43.520 --> 00:40:49.520
Because it's not dependent on an individual here or a Daniel there or a Noah here.

00:40:49.520 --> 00:40:54.520
The whole Christ, the body, becomes what functions like this.

00:40:54.520 --> 00:41:00.520
And then it goes on to say, I gave her time. Behold, I'll throw her onto a sickbed.

00:41:00.520 --> 00:41:03.520
And those who commit adultery with her I'll throw into great tribulation.

00:41:03.520 --> 00:41:07.520
Unless they repent of her works. There's always room for repentance.

00:41:07.520 --> 00:41:10.520
And I'll strike her children dead. Why?

00:41:10.520 --> 00:41:16.520
So that the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart and I'll give each one of you according to your works.

00:41:16.520 --> 00:41:19.520
So he's pretty violent in his...

00:41:19.520 --> 00:41:24.520
The severity of judgment exposes the evil potency of the spirit.

00:41:24.520 --> 00:41:29.520
The severity of judgment exposes the evil potency of the spirit.

00:41:29.520 --> 00:41:32.520
And so it sets a precedent for the church.

00:41:32.520 --> 00:41:37.520
And just be aware of this. How it works guys is very simple.

00:41:37.520 --> 00:41:41.520
Tolerance leads to...

00:41:41.520 --> 00:41:44.520
In any area, this is not with regard to this topic.

00:41:44.520 --> 00:41:50.520
Tolerance leads to a loss of fidelity or faithfulness.

00:41:50.520 --> 00:41:55.520
Tolerance always leads to a loss of fidelity or faithfulness.

00:41:55.520 --> 00:42:05.520
Once faithfulness or loss of fidelity happens then you begin to exert your license to practice things that previously you would not practice.

00:42:05.520 --> 00:42:09.520
That results in some kind of a compromise or adulterous...

00:42:09.520 --> 00:42:12.520
It adulterates what you're doing.

00:42:12.520 --> 00:42:15.520
It ends up in some kind of a compromise.

00:42:15.520 --> 00:42:25.520
And compromise over a period of time brings you to a place where you're no longer able to repent or you become unrepentant.

00:42:25.520 --> 00:42:29.520
Because it's become part of your lifestyle now.

00:42:29.520 --> 00:42:39.520
And once it comes to a place of unrepentance, being unrepentant, there's usually judgment that has to come in to bring you back to God.

00:42:39.520 --> 00:42:45.520
So tolerance, whenever I tolerate something, and this is why blazing purity is so opposite of tolerance.

00:42:45.520 --> 00:42:50.520
Blazing purity is being absolutely intolerant of that which is not pure.

00:42:50.520 --> 00:42:57.520
That's why for us as a congregation to settle for purity ain't enough.

00:42:57.520 --> 00:43:01.520
That's like 101.

00:43:01.520 --> 00:43:04.520
So blazing purity...

00:43:04.520 --> 00:43:08.520
Tolerance leads to a loss of fidelity.

00:43:08.520 --> 00:43:12.520
As in now you're tolerating something and you're no longer faithful.

00:43:12.520 --> 00:43:19.520
Loss of fidelity results in a license to do things you would not have otherwise done.

00:43:19.520 --> 00:43:25.520
Taking that license then brings compromise or adulterates the purity that you had.

00:43:25.520 --> 00:43:30.520
That leads over a period of time, compromise leads to an unrepentant heart.

00:43:30.520 --> 00:43:35.520
Unrepentant hearts usually have to be dealt with judgment before they turn back.

00:43:35.520 --> 00:43:40.520
It is a biblical flow of things.

00:43:40.520 --> 00:43:45.520
That's why the severity of this judgment exposes the evil potency of the spirit.

00:43:45.520 --> 00:43:50.520
Because Jezebel's influence is horrible in a church.

00:43:50.520 --> 00:43:55.520
And we'll have to take a stance against it, I'll have to take a stance against it.

00:43:55.520 --> 00:44:00.520
I'll be aware of it, I'll plead with God to make me aware of it.

00:44:05.520 --> 00:44:09.520
Any questions? What in this is not practical?

00:44:09.520 --> 00:44:14.520
Anything that you want to ask that will make it more practical?

00:44:14.520 --> 00:44:19.520
Okay, let's then go through this list and it will make it as practical as I can make it.

00:44:19.520 --> 00:44:24.520
The rest we'll deal with tomorrow, next time.

00:44:24.520 --> 00:44:29.520
Here are the things we need to be aware of.

00:44:29.520 --> 00:44:34.520
If we are aware of this, we should be able to do well.

00:44:34.520 --> 00:44:39.520
Jezebel needs a weak Ahab to function.

00:44:40.520 --> 00:44:45.520
Jezebel needs a weak Ahab to function.

00:44:45.520 --> 00:44:50.520
Ahab means uncle. Ahab does not mean father.

00:44:50.520 --> 00:44:55.520
Ahab does not even mean husband. Ahab means uncle.

00:44:55.520 --> 00:45:00.520
When an uncle is the head of your house, usually it's a problem.

00:45:00.520 --> 00:45:05.520
Jezebel needs a weak Ahab to function.

00:45:05.520 --> 00:45:10.520
And so, if you are placed in charge of things right now,

00:45:10.520 --> 00:45:15.520
beat your family, beat your child, beat a small house with one or two people,

00:45:15.520 --> 00:45:20.520
I know grammatically that's incorrect, or beat a mega church like this,

00:45:20.520 --> 00:45:25.520
that I'm Passover.

00:45:25.520 --> 00:45:30.520
I can see you.

00:45:30.520 --> 00:45:35.520
That's as far as it goes.

00:45:35.520 --> 00:45:40.520
Regardless of how many are placed in your charge,

00:45:40.520 --> 00:45:45.520
if you're weak, during this time,

00:45:45.520 --> 00:45:50.520
Jezebel will make a play.

00:45:50.520 --> 00:45:55.520
Because if you're not father-like over your charge, you're done. You're not done. Your people are done.

00:45:55.520 --> 00:46:00.520
I didn't say general-like.

00:46:00.520 --> 00:46:05.520
I didn't say apostle-like. I didn't say prophet-like. I didn't say teacher-like. I said father-like.

00:46:05.520 --> 00:46:10.520
Over your charge, then your people will suffer.

00:46:10.520 --> 00:46:15.520
So that's the first one.

00:46:15.520 --> 00:46:20.520
It needs a weak Ahab

00:46:20.520 --> 00:46:25.520
in place to exert control, to force compliance, to open doors.

00:46:25.520 --> 00:46:30.520
It needs a weak Ahab.

00:46:30.520 --> 00:46:35.520
We may not be weak Ahabs, but we can have days of being weak Ahabs.

00:46:35.520 --> 00:46:40.520
At this present time, let me go King James on you,

00:46:40.520 --> 00:46:45.520
gird up your loins so that there are fewer and fewer weak Ahab days.

00:46:45.520 --> 00:46:50.520
Next one.

00:46:50.520 --> 00:46:55.520
It silences the prophetic voice through accusation,

00:46:55.520 --> 00:47:00.520
resistance, intimidation.

00:47:00.520 --> 00:47:05.520
It silences the prophetic voice through accusation, resistance, intimidation.

00:47:05.520 --> 00:47:10.520
It silences the prophetic voice

00:47:10.520 --> 00:47:15.520
through accusation, through resistance, through intimidation.

00:47:17.520 --> 00:47:24.520
So be more receptive and weigh the prophetic word that goes out over the next three months,

00:47:24.520 --> 00:47:27.520
over your lives personally, over us as a corporate body.

00:47:27.520 --> 00:47:32.520
And sometimes in the Kingdom, be aware of this.

00:47:33.520 --> 00:47:40.520
Neutrality is resistance.

00:47:41.520 --> 00:47:43.520
This is super important.

00:47:43.520 --> 00:47:48.520
In this Kingdom of God, neutrality is resistance.

00:47:50.520 --> 00:47:52.520
You want biblical evidence?

00:47:52.520 --> 00:47:54.520
Choose who side you are on today.

00:47:54.520 --> 00:47:58.520
If you are with Yahweh, well, say so.

00:47:58.520 --> 00:48:00.520
If you are with Baal, say so.

00:48:00.520 --> 00:48:02.520
And what's the next line?

00:48:02.520 --> 00:48:04.520
1 Kings 37?

00:48:04.520 --> 00:48:07.520
It says, and the people said nothing.

00:48:07.520 --> 00:48:10.520
Neutrality is resistance.

00:48:12.520 --> 00:48:14.520
That is why we need to weigh it.

00:48:14.520 --> 00:48:17.520
Once we weigh it with the Holy Spirit, with the word,

00:48:17.520 --> 00:48:21.520
going and asking the person, considering context, after all that.

00:48:21.520 --> 00:48:24.520
And it's a laborious process. Weighing is a laborious process.

00:48:24.520 --> 00:48:27.520
Which is why nobody wants to weigh things.

00:48:28.520 --> 00:48:32.520
But neutrality is resistance in the Kingdom.

00:48:36.520 --> 00:48:39.520
Choose this day who you will serve.

00:48:39.520 --> 00:48:43.520
It was a constant cry from the prophets in the Old Testament.

00:48:47.520 --> 00:48:49.520
Sometimes...

00:48:52.520 --> 00:48:54.520
Okay, let me put it this way.

00:48:55.520 --> 00:49:00.520
Regardless of how powerful an anointing a person may have

00:49:00.520 --> 00:49:03.520
to prophesy or be prophetic,

00:49:03.520 --> 00:49:08.520
it is always very difficult, requires tons of faith,

00:49:08.520 --> 00:49:11.520
has absolutely no context, no point of reference,

00:49:11.520 --> 00:49:15.520
is stepping into the unknown, walking on water each time,

00:49:15.520 --> 00:49:18.520
afraid that you might be getting it wrong.

00:49:18.520 --> 00:49:21.520
Not getting it wrong, getting it completely wrong.

00:49:21.520 --> 00:49:26.520
Speaking on the behalf of God, daring to speak on the behalf of God,

00:49:26.520 --> 00:49:30.520
knowing that you will be held to a standard that is twice

00:49:30.520 --> 00:49:32.520
what someone else is held to.

00:49:32.520 --> 00:49:35.520
Waiting to see if it is fulfilled or not.

00:49:35.520 --> 00:49:37.520
Making adjustments if you have to.

00:49:37.520 --> 00:49:40.520
In the Old Testament, they used to get stoned.

00:49:42.520 --> 00:49:46.520
This is what happens when you speak or I speak.

00:49:47.520 --> 00:49:51.520
When you look at the pain God goes through to reveal an invisible,

00:49:51.520 --> 00:49:56.520
inaudible voice through a person for your benefit, neutrality is resistance.

00:49:58.520 --> 00:50:01.520
Receptivity is needed during these times.

00:50:10.520 --> 00:50:12.520
I'm going to finish this party.

00:50:12.520 --> 00:50:15.520
It's 1.03. I'll try and do it in 10 minutes.

00:50:16.520 --> 00:50:19.520
And then we'll let all this go.

00:50:19.520 --> 00:50:24.520
Just so you know how, what a concession I'm making.

00:50:28.520 --> 00:50:33.520
It silences a prophetic voice through accusation, resistance or intimidation.

00:50:33.520 --> 00:50:36.520
It is intimidating when there is neutrality.

00:50:37.520 --> 00:50:42.520
I was in Nashville, I was prophesying on someone and they seemed pretty neutral.

00:50:42.520 --> 00:50:45.520
I must be getting this completely wrong

00:50:45.520 --> 00:50:47.520
and I'm telling the guy, you need to go to Switzerland.

00:50:47.520 --> 00:50:50.520
If you go to Switzerland, God will give you that nation.

00:50:50.520 --> 00:50:57.520
You'll be able to confound people who know Zwingli and this and that and the other.

00:50:57.520 --> 00:51:00.520
Your simplicity will undo their sophistication.

00:51:00.520 --> 00:51:01.520
God is willing to give you that nation.

00:51:01.520 --> 00:51:03.520
I'm looking at his face, I've never met him before.

00:51:03.520 --> 00:51:07.520
I'm thinking to myself, my God, he could just come back with chocolates.

00:51:07.520 --> 00:51:18.520
And then after he leaves, the pastor comes and tells me that the guy was born in

00:51:18.520 --> 00:51:21.520
and spent the first part of his childhood in Switzerland.

00:51:21.520 --> 00:51:27.520
Before leaving he said, I know that word is true because he has no idea that I was born in Switzerland

00:51:27.520 --> 00:51:28.520
and that I grew up there.

00:51:28.520 --> 00:51:31.520
For me it was like a sigh of relief.

00:51:32.520 --> 00:51:37.520
It is intimidating to speak on behalf of God over a person.

00:51:37.520 --> 00:51:39.520
It is intimidating.

00:51:40.520 --> 00:51:45.520
One of the things that happens in this congregation is that because people may do things well

00:51:45.520 --> 00:51:50.520
and do things effortlessly, we do not realize how intimidated they actually are.

00:51:52.520 --> 00:51:54.520
It is intimidating for Betty to go up there.

00:51:54.520 --> 00:51:57.520
There was a time when she couldn't lift her elbows.

00:52:01.520 --> 00:52:04.520
It is still intimidating for Jane to lead worship.

00:52:09.520 --> 00:52:10.520
But we'll move on.

00:52:11.520 --> 00:52:13.520
I just want you to be aware of this.

00:52:13.520 --> 00:52:14.520
Be kind.

00:52:14.520 --> 00:52:16.520
Be kind during this time.

00:52:16.520 --> 00:52:19.520
How are we supposed to be kind in this situation?

00:52:19.520 --> 00:52:21.520
By being receptive and not neutral.

00:52:22.520 --> 00:52:24.520
Okay, next one.

00:52:26.520 --> 00:52:28.520
It depletes resources.

00:52:28.520 --> 00:52:40.520
During this season, ask God twice before you give your physical strength or your financial strength away.

00:52:40.520 --> 00:52:45.520
Just ask twice before you give your physical strength or your financial strength away.

00:52:45.520 --> 00:52:49.520
Just ask God one more time, Father, am I really supposed to do this?

00:52:51.520 --> 00:52:56.520
One of the things Jezebel did is she seated at a table and it must have been a big table.

00:52:56.520 --> 00:52:59.520
400 profits of Baal and 450 profits of Asherah.

00:52:59.520 --> 00:53:01.520
And they ate.

00:53:01.520 --> 00:53:03.520
850 people eating breakfast, lunch and dinner.

00:53:03.520 --> 00:53:05.520
I didn't know whether they do tea.

00:53:05.520 --> 00:53:07.520
But that's three meals, man.

00:53:07.520 --> 00:53:09.520
850 people every day.

00:53:09.520 --> 00:53:11.520
Ahab began to lose money.

00:53:16.520 --> 00:53:21.520
Suddenly after I read this, I thought, okay, I've got to go over and reconsider some of the things that I'm promising

00:53:21.520 --> 00:53:25.520
because I've got to make sure that this is the right time for things.

00:53:25.520 --> 00:53:27.520
Ask twice. Ask twice.

00:53:29.520 --> 00:53:32.520
Personally, corporately, ecclesiastically, whatever.

00:53:38.520 --> 00:53:51.520
I was thinking of asking Heidi if we could, given all the travel that's happening with the US, I was going to ask Heidi,

00:53:51.520 --> 00:53:55.520
Hey Heidi, do you think we can invest in a private jet?

00:54:00.520 --> 00:54:05.520
And Heidi sent me this response, which Brandon, can you put on the overhead?

00:54:05.520 --> 00:54:07.520
Heidi sent me this response.

00:54:10.520 --> 00:54:17.520
So I texted Heidi saying, Heidi, please, do you think it would be good to invest in a private jet?

00:54:17.520 --> 00:54:18.520
Did you email it or?

00:54:18.520 --> 00:54:21.520
Yeah, I emailed it to Ax29.ca.

00:54:28.520 --> 00:54:32.520
Oops, let's move on because when it comes up, let me know.

00:54:33.520 --> 00:54:34.520
Okay.

00:54:35.520 --> 00:54:37.520
Yeah, so she sent me.

00:54:37.520 --> 00:54:48.520
So that took care of my dreams immediately.

00:54:52.520 --> 00:54:57.520
So there's no latitude there.

00:54:57.520 --> 00:55:06.520
The question was serious. I mean, every second week I've got to fly all the way there, but it didn't go.

00:55:06.520 --> 00:55:07.520
It didn't work.

00:55:07.520 --> 00:55:09.520
All righty, moving on. Next point.

00:55:09.520 --> 00:55:11.520
You can take that off. Good.

00:55:11.520 --> 00:55:12.520
Yeah.

00:55:17.520 --> 00:55:19.520
This one, it manipulates.

00:55:20.520 --> 00:55:27.520
One of the things this power does is it manipulates and pampers

00:55:32.520 --> 00:55:36.520
the petulant, the petulant

00:55:36.520 --> 00:55:43.520
fostering immaturity

00:55:48.520 --> 00:55:55.520
on a diet of milk and emotions.

00:55:57.520 --> 00:56:04.520
So one of the things this power does is it makes a church pamper those that are petulant.

00:56:04.520 --> 00:56:10.520
Oh, Ahab, why are you so sad? Want that piece of land? Don't worry, Auntie will get it for you.

00:56:10.520 --> 00:56:16.520
It's this immature behavior is catered to, encouraged, pampered.

00:56:17.520 --> 00:56:21.520
Ahab is the poster child for petulant behavior, sulking.

00:56:24.520 --> 00:56:28.520
And we've got to be careful that we don't do that during this time.

00:56:28.520 --> 00:56:33.520
No pampering of petulant behavior because it fosters immaturity.

00:56:35.520 --> 00:56:40.520
It fosters immaturity. So who decides what's petulant and what is immature?

00:56:40.520 --> 00:56:46.520
That is an important question too, because what you may think is immature may be something I'm really struggling with.

00:56:47.520 --> 00:56:52.520
I have to be careful that I don't dismiss what you're struggling with as immaturity.

00:56:57.520 --> 00:57:00.520
This just makes a better father out of you, eh?

00:57:00.520 --> 00:57:08.520
Because a child may be petulant about some silly thing because he's been bullied about it for the last three days.

00:57:08.520 --> 00:57:13.520
And you're not aware of it and so you don't address it the right way.

00:57:13.520 --> 00:57:15.520
So that's one thing.

00:57:23.520 --> 00:57:26.520
No, because they just don't have a clue.

00:57:27.520 --> 00:57:30.520
They have the right to be petulant.

00:57:37.520 --> 00:57:40.520
Can this apply to non-believers too?

00:57:40.520 --> 00:57:44.520
I'm saying non-believers are behaving according to their default.

00:57:50.520 --> 00:57:52.520
Let me finish this.

00:57:53.520 --> 00:57:57.520
This is a horrible one guys. Be very careful of this one.

00:57:57.520 --> 00:58:01.520
It frightens you out of the presence of God.

00:58:01.520 --> 00:58:05.520
It frightens you out of the presence of God.

00:58:08.520 --> 00:58:10.520
It frightened...

00:58:11.520 --> 00:58:13.520
You know, I still try to wrap my head around it.

00:58:13.520 --> 00:58:18.520
How does a man who was laughing at 850 prophets...

00:58:19.520 --> 00:58:25.520
How does a man who just saw fire fall from the sky and burn up wood that was soaked many times over...

00:58:25.520 --> 00:58:29.520
How does a man like that immediately begin to run one day later?

00:58:31.520 --> 00:58:38.520
There is no greater display of power besides the Red Sea parting than Mount Carmel.

00:58:38.520 --> 00:58:45.520
How does a man go from that to running for his life and resigning and retiring in one day?

00:58:46.520 --> 00:58:48.520
There is something so powerful about this spirit.

00:58:48.520 --> 00:58:51.520
You guys need to be aware of what we are dealing with.

00:58:51.520 --> 00:58:53.520
This is not...

00:58:53.520 --> 00:58:56.520
So one of the things we have to understand as a congregation, as individuals,

00:58:56.520 --> 00:59:02.520
is that it will try to frighten you out of the presence of God through circumstances,

00:59:02.520 --> 00:59:04.520
through things that are pressing on you.

00:59:04.520 --> 00:59:06.520
It will try to frighten you out of the presence of God.

00:59:06.520 --> 00:59:07.520
And what is God saying?

00:59:07.520 --> 00:59:09.520
Hey guys, I brought you out of bondage.

00:59:09.520 --> 00:59:13.520
Hey guys, you are now my holy place of resting.

00:59:13.520 --> 00:59:15.520
You are also the people who I roll through.

00:59:15.520 --> 00:59:18.520
And so, listen to this, he says in verse 7,

00:59:18.520 --> 00:59:21.520
tremble earth because these people are mine.

00:59:21.520 --> 00:59:23.520
And what does Jezebel want to do?

00:59:23.520 --> 00:59:26.520
Tremble people because this earth is mine.

00:59:30.520 --> 00:59:32.520
It frightens you out of the presence of God.

00:59:33.520 --> 00:59:38.520
I can't tell you what a clue and what strength God is giving us with some of these sentences.

00:59:38.520 --> 00:59:44.520
The other thing we need to realize is it doesn't flee unless resisted.

00:59:44.520 --> 00:59:47.520
It doesn't flee unless resisted.

00:59:52.520 --> 00:59:54.520
It doesn't flee unless resisted.

00:59:54.520 --> 01:00:01.520
So this is the first step towards resisting this power that paralyzes priests, prophets and kings.

01:00:02.520 --> 01:00:04.520
Two more statements and we are done.

01:00:05.520 --> 01:00:07.520
Two more statements and we are done.

01:00:12.520 --> 01:00:13.520
It incites.

01:00:18.520 --> 01:00:19.520
It incites.

01:00:19.520 --> 01:00:22.520
It won't take the front roll and challenge you.

01:00:22.520 --> 01:00:24.520
It will incite him to challenge.

01:00:24.520 --> 01:00:26.520
It will incite him to challenge.

01:00:26.520 --> 01:00:28.520
It won't challenge.

01:00:28.520 --> 01:00:30.520
It provokes you to challenge.

01:00:30.520 --> 01:00:32.520
It provokes you to rebel.

01:00:32.520 --> 01:00:34.520
It provokes you to teach false.

01:00:34.520 --> 01:00:37.520
It provokes you to stir up, foment rebellion.

01:00:37.520 --> 01:00:39.520
It provokes you to slander.

01:00:39.520 --> 01:00:41.520
It provokes you to accuse.

01:00:41.520 --> 01:00:42.520
It provokes.

01:00:42.520 --> 01:00:50.520
This is why Jesus found it extremely evil and said be absolutely intolerant of it because you are being tolerant of this.

01:00:50.520 --> 01:00:53.520
The congregation is being affected and I am going to do something about it.

01:00:56.520 --> 01:00:57.520
It incites.

01:00:57.520 --> 01:01:00.520
You know what happened when Satan incited David, right?

01:01:00.520 --> 01:01:02.520
A plague hit 23,000 died.

01:01:03.520 --> 01:01:04.520
It incites.

01:01:08.520 --> 01:01:16.520
David at, when Satan incited David to take a census and 23,000 died in a plague.

01:01:16.520 --> 01:01:22.520
It incites and it steals inheritances.

01:01:23.520 --> 01:01:31.520
It steals inheritances through false accusation.

01:01:31.520 --> 01:01:34.520
This is, and this you got to help me.

01:01:34.520 --> 01:01:37.520
It steals inheritances.

01:01:37.520 --> 01:01:39.520
Naboth had a vineyard.

01:01:39.520 --> 01:01:41.520
It was his heritage.

01:01:41.520 --> 01:01:43.520
It was in his family.

01:01:43.520 --> 01:01:50.520
Jezebel gets people to witness falsely and takes away his inheritance.

01:01:50.520 --> 01:01:52.520
And gives it to Ahab.

01:01:52.520 --> 01:01:55.520
It steals inheritances through accusations.

01:02:01.520 --> 01:02:03.520
Protect me in this.

01:02:03.520 --> 01:02:10.520
When you hear accusations that you know are not Jacob, don't stay silent.

01:02:10.520 --> 01:02:11.520
Don't encourage it.

01:02:11.520 --> 01:02:12.520
Rise up and speak.

01:02:12.520 --> 01:02:14.520
Yeah, rise up and speak.

01:02:14.520 --> 01:02:19.520
If there's some truth to it, you must bring it to me and say, hey Jacob, they said this.

01:02:19.520 --> 01:02:20.520
So I'm aware.

01:02:20.520 --> 01:02:24.520
Then I can either choose to address it or be proud and not address it.

01:02:24.520 --> 01:02:33.520
But when things are said of me or of other leaders here, or of forget leaders about anyone here,

01:02:33.520 --> 01:02:39.520
then this is the time when you need to speak and not encourage it.

01:02:42.520 --> 01:02:46.520
There was a leader from another church, from Pastor Mike's church that I was driving home one day.

01:02:46.520 --> 01:02:48.520
And the leader started talking about Pastor Mike.

01:02:48.520 --> 01:02:50.520
I kept listening, kept listening.

01:02:50.520 --> 01:02:53.520
I said, oh really?

01:02:53.520 --> 01:02:55.520
Okay, really?

01:02:55.520 --> 01:02:58.520
And so they spent about 25 minutes telling me about Pastor Mike.

01:02:58.520 --> 01:03:00.520
Pastor Mike was a good friend of mine.

01:03:00.520 --> 01:03:06.520
And then I called Pastor Mike and said, I just want you to know that this person was saying this about you.

01:03:06.520 --> 01:03:08.520
So he called that person and me home.

01:03:08.520 --> 01:03:14.520
And he turned to me and he said, I thought he was going to deal with the person.

01:03:14.520 --> 01:03:20.520
He turned to me and he said, why is it that you listened to it for 25 minutes and didn't stop it?

01:03:20.520 --> 01:03:23.520
Why didn't you suggest to the person that the person come and talk to me?

01:03:23.520 --> 01:03:26.520
Why did you keep encouraging the person to talk?

01:03:26.520 --> 01:03:31.520
I'm sitting here saying, you're telling me that I'm wrong?

01:03:31.520 --> 01:03:37.520
I was so agitated that I got up and left and I didn't speak to Pastor Mike for six months.

01:03:37.520 --> 01:03:42.520
Then one day I realized who was right and who was wrong.

01:03:42.520 --> 01:03:47.520
And I went and apologized to him and then went to his church and told the church why I was missing for six months.

01:03:51.520 --> 01:03:54.520
It steals inheritances through false accusation.

01:03:54.520 --> 01:03:56.520
Be careful.

01:03:56.520 --> 01:03:57.520
Not just mine, yours too.

01:03:57.520 --> 01:04:00.520
False accusations.

01:04:00.520 --> 01:04:02.520
If there's truth in the accusation, we'll deal with it.

01:04:02.520 --> 01:04:05.520
If there's false, do not allow it.

01:04:05.520 --> 01:04:10.520
This whole thing that we practice here of guys being careful how they travel with girls and all.

01:04:10.520 --> 01:04:21.520
Why, why, why take all the trouble so that we don't end up giving any room for anyone to have any accusation thrown against them?

01:04:21.520 --> 01:04:26.520
And I would rather be prudish than prove wrong.

01:04:30.520 --> 01:04:32.520
It's worth it, guys.

01:04:36.520 --> 01:04:37.520
Last point.

01:04:40.520 --> 01:04:55.520
Only Obadiahs and Jehosh can deal with Jezebel.

01:04:55.520 --> 01:04:59.520
How does Obadiah deal with Jezebel?

01:04:59.520 --> 01:05:08.520
He was a guy who used to work for Ahab who would see that Jezebel was targeting priests and he would take them.

01:05:08.520 --> 01:05:14.520
He took 100 of them, put 50 in a cave, put 50 in another cave and fed them bread and water and kept them safe.

01:05:14.520 --> 01:05:16.520
Prevented them from being killed.

01:05:16.520 --> 01:05:18.520
That's how Obadiah does it.

01:05:18.520 --> 01:05:21.520
He gives refuge to people who are being attacked by Jezebel.

01:05:21.520 --> 01:05:23.520
So that's one way of dealing with it.

01:05:23.520 --> 01:05:26.520
These are the only two ways you can deal with Jezebel.

01:05:26.520 --> 01:05:28.520
No other way is possible.

01:05:28.520 --> 01:05:29.520
Every other way is tolerant.

01:05:29.520 --> 01:05:31.520
Even Obadiah is actually being tolerant.

01:05:31.520 --> 01:05:36.520
He's just creating a hospital for people to be, he's creating a refuge for people to be safe.

01:05:36.520 --> 01:05:38.520
He's not doing anything against Jezebel.

01:05:38.520 --> 01:05:40.520
You can only save 100 priests at a time.

01:05:40.520 --> 01:05:42.520
You can't feed more.

01:05:42.520 --> 01:05:43.520
He didn't have that kind of money.

01:05:43.520 --> 01:05:45.520
He was just a commander, nothing else.

01:05:45.520 --> 01:05:46.520
And then there's Jehu.

01:05:46.520 --> 01:05:52.520
The only way to deal with Jezebel, which we won't talk about today, is to come violently against Jezebel.

01:05:52.520 --> 01:05:54.520
Violently against her.

01:05:54.520 --> 01:06:05.520
So that at the end of the day, all she is, is a bunch of bones stripped bare by dogs and dung on the ground.

01:06:05.520 --> 01:06:06.520
Dung.

01:06:06.520 --> 01:06:07.520
That's what the Bible says.

01:06:07.520 --> 01:06:12.520
That she's been reduced to flesh eaten by dogs and a heap of dung.

01:06:12.520 --> 01:06:16.520
That is a violence that should meet this power.

01:06:19.520 --> 01:06:30.520
Such an intolerance, because it's a power that comes to destroy what Christ has paid with his own blood and put together.

01:06:30.520 --> 01:06:31.520
It comes to destroy it.

01:06:31.520 --> 01:06:34.520
It rips it to shreds and goes.

01:06:35.520 --> 01:06:40.520
And if you think, and this is again going to sound pompous,

01:06:40.520 --> 01:06:49.520
if you think that knowing this, I'm going to tolerate it in this church, you're so wrong.

01:06:49.520 --> 01:06:52.520
And God help me not to tolerate it.

01:06:52.520 --> 01:06:54.520
You should have the same attitude.

01:06:57.520 --> 01:07:00.520
For me, it's both a responsibility and an attitude.

01:07:00.520 --> 01:07:02.520
And so it is for you.

01:07:03.520 --> 01:07:05.520
Any questions? I'm done.

01:07:07.520 --> 01:07:13.520
In dealing with Jezebel, guys, it's impossible to deal with Jezebel active in a congregation or in a person without bruising the person.

01:07:15.520 --> 01:07:16.520
Hear me again.

01:07:16.520 --> 01:07:24.520
It is impossible to deal with Jezebel acting in a congregation or through a person without causing some bruising or harm to the person.

01:07:24.520 --> 01:07:28.520
After you've dealt with that, you may have to spend a lot of time helping the person recover.

01:07:28.520 --> 01:07:34.520
But it is not possible to deal with this power if it begins to use you without bruising you.

01:07:34.520 --> 01:07:37.520
You will be bruised in the process.

01:07:37.520 --> 01:07:40.520
So best not to allow it, right?

01:07:41.520 --> 01:07:42.520
Okay.

01:07:52.520 --> 01:07:57.520
Jesus says to the church in Thyatira, for those of you who have in part taken in activities with Jezebel,

01:07:57.520 --> 01:07:59.520
I want to say to you that I have a reward for you.

01:07:59.520 --> 01:08:01.520
And here's my reward for you.

01:08:01.520 --> 01:08:03.520
You will shepherd nations.

01:08:04.520 --> 01:08:05.520
You overcome this power.

01:08:06.520 --> 01:08:10.520
He says to anybody who overcomes, I will give authority to shepherd the nations.

01:08:10.520 --> 01:08:15.520
I'll give you a scepter and a rod to shatter to pieces those that oppose my kingdom.

01:08:15.520 --> 01:08:18.520
And I will give you the authority to shepherd nations.

01:08:18.520 --> 01:08:20.520
There is a reward to overcoming this power.

01:08:20.520 --> 01:08:24.520
We are at a place called Psalm 114, verse 1 and 2.

01:08:24.520 --> 01:08:26.520
I have brought you out of bondage.

01:08:26.520 --> 01:08:30.520
I have removed you from the foreign languages around you.

01:08:30.520 --> 01:08:31.520
You're no longer secular.

01:08:31.520 --> 01:08:32.520
I have drawn you to myself.

01:08:32.520 --> 01:08:33.520
You speak my language.

01:08:33.520 --> 01:08:36.520
You understand my mother tongue or father tongue.

01:08:36.520 --> 01:08:38.520
I also have made you my holy place.

01:08:38.520 --> 01:08:41.520
And this is a place from which I will extend my holy rule.

01:08:41.520 --> 01:08:46.520
So tremble, Earth, for the God of Jacob is under midst.

01:08:47.520 --> 01:08:48.520
Let's pray.

01:08:52.520 --> 01:08:56.520
Father, we don't need to pray to you.

01:08:56.520 --> 01:08:58.520
We need to pray against this power.

01:08:59.520 --> 01:09:01.520
So can you quickly show how?

01:09:03.520 --> 01:09:18.520
Father, if a wolf comes in sheep's clothing, we as sheep recognize that wolf.

01:09:18.520 --> 01:09:19.520
It is exposed.

01:09:19.520 --> 01:09:21.520
So we expose this power.

01:09:21.520 --> 01:09:24.520
We recognize where you brought us.

01:09:24.520 --> 01:09:31.520
We also recognize this power is presently active, trying to gain footholds in this church, footholds in lives.

01:09:31.520 --> 01:09:34.520
And we expose it in the name of Jesus Christ.

01:09:36.520 --> 01:09:37.520
We expose it in the name of Jesus Christ.
