00:07:40.800 Elijah is plowing with twelve oxen and Elijah takes up his mantle and he throws it upon Elijah 00:07:40.800 --> 00:07:46.800 Elijah does not yet own the mantle but he is throwing the mantle on to Elijah 00:07:46.800 --> 00:07:52.800 Elijah is on behalf of God claiming Elijah as the one who should succeed 00:07:52.800 --> 00:07:55.800 And I will say to you in the years past 00:07:55.800 --> 00:07:59.800 God has been claiming our allegiance 00:08:00.320 --> 00:08:03.320 And I'm saying to you, and I said this in the prophetic message 00:08:03.320 --> 00:08:06.320 So I'm trusting that what I've received is from God 00:08:06.320 --> 00:08:14.320 What I'm delivering to you is again from God without mixture or without me trying to put my spin on it 00:08:14.320 --> 00:08:18.320 I'm saying to you in the years past God was claiming our allegiance 00:08:18.320 --> 00:08:25.320 And I think he's found us quite responsible in terms of claiming our allegiance to him 00:08:25.840 --> 00:08:29.840 But this is now a commissioning where it's not that he's throwing the mantle over 00:08:29.840 --> 00:08:33.840 It's that he's saying I'm passing the mantle to you so that you carry it 00:08:33.840 --> 00:08:38.840 So what I wanted to do today is look at the signs that Elijah performed 00:08:38.840 --> 00:08:43.840 In the inheritance verses given to us from 2 Kings 2 to 2 Kings 13 00:08:43.840 --> 00:08:47.840 To briefly look at the signs Elijah performed 00:08:47.840 --> 00:08:52.840 And draw out of that, discern out of that, decipher out of that 00:08:53.360 --> 00:08:58.360 What God has for us as a people in the year ahead 00:08:59.360 --> 00:09:03.360 So the first sign is in 2 Kings 2, 14 00:09:03.360 --> 00:09:07.360 First sign is in 2 Kings 2, 14 00:09:08.360 --> 00:09:11.360 2 Kings 2, 14 00:09:15.360 --> 00:09:18.360 And so I'll start at 13 00:09:18.880 --> 00:09:22.880 He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back 00:09:22.880 --> 00:09:24.880 And still on the back of Jordan 00:09:24.880 --> 00:09:28.880 Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it 00:09:28.880 --> 00:09:31.880 Where now is the Lord the God of Elijah, he asked 00:09:31.880 --> 00:09:36.880 When he struck the water, he divided it to the right and to the left and he crossed over 00:09:36.880 --> 00:09:40.880 So the first sign that Elijah performed after having received the mantle 00:09:40.880 --> 00:09:46.880 Is to take the cloak that was thrown over by Elijah and it would be caught up in a whirlwind 00:09:47.400 --> 00:09:51.400 And striking the very river that he had crossed just a little while ago 00:09:52.400 --> 00:09:57.400 And so the first thing God wants us to know is that we have to take 00:09:57.400 --> 00:10:04.400 What people like Eddie, people like Roland, people like Mike Scandalberry 00:10:04.400 --> 00:10:07.400 People like Jacob, people like Chad 00:10:08.400 --> 00:10:11.400 Have given us already 00:10:11.920 --> 00:10:16.920 And in the year that is coming, we have to show an increasing propensity 00:10:16.920 --> 00:10:19.920 In pioneering 00:10:22.920 --> 00:10:25.920 In the prophetic 00:10:29.920 --> 00:10:32.920 In being church centered 00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:36.440 In multiplying missionarily 00:10:36.440 --> 00:10:39.440 In multiplying 00:10:39.440 --> 00:10:42.440 Not just like we're doing with the host church 00:10:42.440 --> 00:10:45.440 Multiplying missionarily 00:10:46.440 --> 00:10:53.440 In nation impacting work 00:10:53.960 --> 00:10:58.960 In rest filled worship 00:11:01.960 --> 00:11:10.960 In rest filled worship 00:11:12.960 --> 00:11:17.960 These are some of the things we've already inherited from the Elijah's that I've gone by 00:11:18.480 --> 00:11:23.480 Elijah's like Eddie, Elijah like Roland who many of you haven't met 00:11:23.480 --> 00:11:26.480 In healing 00:11:26.480 --> 00:11:31.480 One of the first prophetic words spoken by somebody who did not know us 00:11:31.480 --> 00:11:34.480 From any other church in the world 00:11:34.480 --> 00:11:37.480 One of the first prophetic words that was spoken was 00:11:37.480 --> 00:11:40.480 In this church there are wells of healing 00:11:41.480 --> 00:11:44.480 When Elijah strikes and divides the Jordan across the wide 00:11:45.000 --> 00:11:52.000 The sons of the prophets knew that here is a man who now carries the mantle of Elijah 00:11:52.000 --> 00:11:59.000 We need to carry these things that have already been established by Eddie, Roland, Mike, me and Chad 00:11:59.000 --> 00:12:02.000 But there must be an increasing potency 00:12:02.000 --> 00:12:05.000 It can't be the same, there has to be an increasing potency 00:12:05.000 --> 00:12:12.000 Every successive use of yeast would make the dough even more potent 00:12:12.520 --> 00:12:15.520 Because you would never throw all the yeast away, you would keep some back 00:12:15.520 --> 00:12:20.520 And the next time you used yeast you would pluck it off what you had kept 00:12:20.520 --> 00:12:24.520 And the yeast would ferment further and it would be more potent 00:12:24.520 --> 00:12:29.520 The purpose they take me in healing, in pioneering, in the prophetic 00:12:29.520 --> 00:12:34.520 In being church centered, in multiplying missionarily, in impacting nations 00:12:34.520 --> 00:12:39.520 And in rest filled worship that has the aroma of freedom 00:12:40.040 --> 00:12:43.040 It is one of the priceless things in this church 00:12:43.040 --> 00:12:47.040 The freedom we have in our relationship with God 00:12:47.040 --> 00:12:51.040 That absolutely buries human traditions 00:12:52.040 --> 00:12:57.040 These are gifts given to us by Elijah's that have gone before 00:12:58.040 --> 00:13:03.040 I am including myself in them because I know that Elijah is coming 00:13:03.560 --> 00:13:06.560 And it has to increase potency 00:13:06.560 --> 00:13:09.560 This was the first sign 00:13:09.560 --> 00:13:12.560 The second sign 00:13:13.560 --> 00:13:20.560 The second sign is in chapter 2 verse 16 00:13:24.560 --> 00:13:27.560 So I'll start with verse 15 00:13:33.560 --> 00:13:38.560 I don't know if you can see this, but Elijah is saying 00:13:38.560 --> 00:13:41.560 I'm going to meet him and bow to the ground before him 00:13:41.560 --> 00:13:44.560 Look they said, we are servants of fifty people men 00:13:44.560 --> 00:13:46.560 Let him go and look for a master 00:13:46.560 --> 00:13:49.560 Perhaps the spirit of the Lord has picked him up and set him down 00:13:49.560 --> 00:13:52.560 On some mountain or in some valley 00:13:52.560 --> 00:13:54.560 No Elijah, I do not send him 00:13:54.560 --> 00:13:57.560 But they persisted until he was too ashamed to refuse 00:13:58.080 --> 00:14:01.080 And what they are doing is showing a 00:14:01.080 --> 00:14:05.080 Seeming rejection or a refusal of Elijah 00:14:05.080 --> 00:14:08.080 Saying basically that no no no no 00:14:08.080 --> 00:14:11.080 Elijah hasn't gone, he is still around 00:14:11.080 --> 00:14:14.080 You are not yet bona fide 00:14:14.080 --> 00:14:19.080 And so Elijah says no because he knows what just happened 00:14:19.080 --> 00:14:23.080 But he is embarrassed because it looks like he is trying to grab the throne 00:14:23.600 --> 00:14:27.600 And so because they exist, are embarrassed because he is ashamed 00:14:27.600 --> 00:14:29.600 He tells them to go ahead and search 00:14:29.600 --> 00:14:32.600 No, it's full well that they will not find him 00:14:32.600 --> 00:14:35.600 When Moses passed on, Israel didn't say to Joshua 00:14:35.600 --> 00:14:38.600 Let's give it a few days, let's go look for Moses 00:14:38.600 --> 00:14:41.600 Maybe he will still be around on that mountain and then we decide 00:14:41.600 --> 00:14:46.600 No, this was almost a deliberate rejection or refusal 00:14:47.600 --> 00:14:49.600 And so I want to say to you, the year ahead 00:14:50.120 --> 00:14:53.120 That there will be a seeming rejection or refusal by people 00:14:53.120 --> 00:14:57.120 To accept our new position or a new form 00:14:58.120 --> 00:15:01.120 If this is a prophetic word and I know it is 00:15:01.120 --> 00:15:03.120 And we were to change 00:15:03.120 --> 00:15:07.120 Then know that there will be a seeming rejection or a refusal 00:15:07.120 --> 00:15:12.120 To recognize or acknowledge or accept a new form 00:15:12.120 --> 00:15:14.120 Or new position, a new shape 00:15:14.120 --> 00:15:19.120 I pray God that it not be internal as it not be within the house 00:15:19.640 --> 00:15:20.640 That would be a shame 00:15:20.640 --> 00:15:23.640 If you are part of the house and you are not able to embrace this 00:15:23.640 --> 00:15:25.640 Or you begin to resist it 00:15:25.640 --> 00:15:30.640 Then I feel bad for you because you will miss out 00:15:32.640 --> 00:15:37.640 The thing with resisting anything that is God 00:15:37.640 --> 00:15:39.640 And I realize you will have to bear this 00:15:39.640 --> 00:15:42.640 Just because I actually find that so 00:15:43.160 --> 00:15:48.160 I think I have got to go in waves 00:15:49.160 --> 00:15:52.160 I think half of them because we don't want to accept things 00:15:53.160 --> 00:15:58.160 We want to figure out whether we want to accept it or not 00:15:58.160 --> 00:16:02.160 Very few when they say wave actually go over and pour over scriptures 00:16:02.160 --> 00:16:05.160 For two, three hours comparing things to figure out 00:16:05.160 --> 00:16:06.160 Whether it is God or not 00:16:06.160 --> 00:16:09.160 Very few spend two or three hours praying saying 00:16:09.160 --> 00:16:12.160 Father, please show me this revelation is from your love 00:16:12.680 --> 00:16:14.680 Basically it is kind of a pop-up 00:16:14.680 --> 00:16:16.680 But we won't go to that here 00:16:16.680 --> 00:16:20.680 All I am saying is there is the need to figure this out free free 00:16:21.680 --> 00:16:22.680 But here is the thing 00:16:22.680 --> 00:16:25.680 A seeming rejection or refusal by people to accept a new shape 00:16:25.680 --> 00:16:27.680 A new position, a new form 00:16:27.680 --> 00:16:30.680 If it is from the outside it is fine 00:16:30.680 --> 00:16:33.680 Because the way to approach it like Elisha 00:16:33.680 --> 00:16:37.680 Is to just wait until they run out of reasonable excuses 00:16:37.680 --> 00:16:40.680 They exhaust excuses and turn to technologists 00:16:41.200 --> 00:16:42.200 All they reject is outright 00:16:42.200 --> 00:16:45.200 But there will be rejection when form changes 00:16:45.200 --> 00:16:47.200 There will be rejection when shape changes 00:16:47.200 --> 00:16:49.200 There will be rejection 00:16:49.200 --> 00:16:51.200 There will be a refusal to acknowledge 00:16:52.200 --> 00:16:55.200 So get ready for small skirmishes 00:16:55.200 --> 00:16:58.200 But we do it with great patience and much embarrassment 00:16:59.200 --> 00:17:01.200 But internally if you resist this 00:17:01.200 --> 00:17:02.200 Then I feel bad for you 00:17:02.200 --> 00:17:06.200 Because once we need to resist what is a God move 00:17:06.200 --> 00:17:08.200 Then not only do you get left out 00:17:08.720 --> 00:17:11.720 Every time truth is resisted a delusion comes in 00:17:11.720 --> 00:17:12.720 First Thessalonians 00:17:12.720 --> 00:17:16.720 Every time truth is resisted a delusion comes in 00:17:22.720 --> 00:17:24.720 The third sign 00:17:24.720 --> 00:17:26.720 The third sign is in 219 00:17:26.720 --> 00:17:28.720 The third sign is in 219 00:17:32.720 --> 00:17:34.720 The man of the city said to Elisha 00:17:35.240 --> 00:17:37.240 Look our Lord, this town is well situated 00:17:37.240 --> 00:17:38.240 As you can see 00:17:38.240 --> 00:17:41.240 But the water is bad and the land is unproductive 00:17:41.240 --> 00:17:43.240 Bring me a new bowl he said 00:17:43.240 --> 00:17:44.240 And put salt in it 00:17:44.240 --> 00:17:45.240 So they brought it to him 00:17:45.240 --> 00:17:47.240 Then he went out to the spring 00:17:47.240 --> 00:17:48.240 And he threw salt into it saying 00:17:48.240 --> 00:17:50.240 This is what the Lord says 00:17:50.240 --> 00:17:51.240 I have deeped this water 00:17:51.240 --> 00:17:53.240 Never again will it cause death 00:17:53.240 --> 00:17:55.240 Or make the land unproductive 00:17:55.240 --> 00:17:57.240 And the water has remained wholesome to this day 00:17:57.240 --> 00:17:59.240 According to the word Elisha has spoken 00:17:59.240 --> 00:18:02.240 So God will give us 00:18:02.760 --> 00:18:04.760 God will give us in the year ahead 00:18:04.760 --> 00:18:07.760 The permission and the power 00:18:13.760 --> 00:18:15.760 Just before I continue with that 00:18:15.760 --> 00:18:18.760 Guys, every time God speaks a prophetic word 00:18:18.760 --> 00:18:21.760 He is telling you how He sees us right now 00:18:23.760 --> 00:18:27.760 Our difficulty is being able to see us as God sees us 00:18:28.760 --> 00:18:31.760 Until we see ourselves as God is telling us 00:18:32.280 --> 00:18:34.280 Until then as He sees us 00:18:34.280 --> 00:18:37.280 We will not walk in the permission that He has given 00:18:37.280 --> 00:18:39.280 Therein lies the bathroom 00:18:39.280 --> 00:18:41.280 To me that is the greatest bathroom 00:18:41.280 --> 00:18:43.280 When God says something 00:18:43.280 --> 00:18:45.280 I find it so hard 00:18:45.280 --> 00:18:49.280 To actually see myself the way He sees me 00:18:49.280 --> 00:18:51.280 Believing is easy 00:18:51.280 --> 00:18:53.280 I believe, hallelujah 00:18:53.280 --> 00:18:55.280 I have faith for it 00:18:55.280 --> 00:18:57.280 How about not having faith 00:18:57.280 --> 00:18:59.280 And knowing that you have become 00:18:59.280 --> 00:19:01.280 That is difficult 00:19:02.280 --> 00:19:05.280 If you have to exert faith for the prophetic 00:19:05.280 --> 00:19:07.280 There is nothing wrong with it 00:19:07.280 --> 00:19:09.280 But you must recognize that you have not become 00:19:09.280 --> 00:19:11.280 And the intent of the prophetic is always 00:19:11.280 --> 00:19:14.280 To bring you to a place where you have become 00:19:14.280 --> 00:19:17.280 Once you become you don't need faith 00:19:18.280 --> 00:19:21.280 Once you become you don't need faith 00:19:21.280 --> 00:19:24.280 With the prophetic you need faith 00:19:24.280 --> 00:19:26.280 While you are wrestling with it 00:19:26.280 --> 00:19:28.280 Like Paul says to Timothy 00:19:28.800 --> 00:19:30.800 War with the prophetic world 00:19:30.800 --> 00:19:32.800 As in wrestle with it, engage with it 00:19:32.800 --> 00:19:34.800 Why? Because you need faith 00:19:34.800 --> 00:19:36.800 To believe God for what He is saying 00:19:37.800 --> 00:19:39.800 But how do I know 00:19:39.800 --> 00:19:42.800 That a time has come where I have become 00:19:42.800 --> 00:19:44.800 What God has prophesied in effect 00:19:44.800 --> 00:19:47.800 It is when I no longer need faith 00:19:47.800 --> 00:19:49.800 To walk in the things God said
