And that's where we begin. 00:00:45.560 --> 00:00:52.560 So if you want a title for this teaching or this series, it's disruptive glory. And this 00:00:52.560 --> 00:00:58.760 one is called permission. This particular topic is called permission. Disruptive glory. 00:00:58.760 --> 00:01:06.760 And so disruptive glory has been around for thousands of years. It's something God specializes 00:01:06.760 --> 00:01:13.760 in. And so you see that in the beginning when he said, let there be light, it was disruptive 00:01:13.960 --> 00:01:18.960 glory. His glory broke through chaos, broke through darkness and created something brilliant. 00:01:18.960 --> 00:01:27.960 You see it in Exodus 40, verse 34 or thereabouts, where the tabernacle has been built and the 00:01:27.960 --> 00:01:32.960 priests are ready to worship and Moses and the priests could not even enter because God's 00:01:32.960 --> 00:01:39.960 glory came in and disrupted everything the way God... The thing with God's disruptiveness 00:01:39.960 --> 00:01:46.960 is that God's disruptiveness is towards life. All other disruptiveness is towards destruction. 00:01:46.960 --> 00:01:52.960 God's disruptiveness is towards life and towards the devastation of the enemy. And he does 00:01:52.960 --> 00:01:57.960 it with his kabod or the weight of his splendor, the weight of his magnificence, the weight 00:01:57.960 --> 00:02:01.960 of his character, the weight of his power, the weight of his goodness, the weight of 00:02:01.960 --> 00:02:08.960 his laughter. Sometimes all he does is laugh and it frightens the enemy. If you can... 00:02:10.460 --> 00:02:17.460 If you can hear the laughter of God in the middle of a battle, you have already won. 00:02:19.080 --> 00:02:23.560 I pray that all of us have that experience at some point where you hear the laughter 00:02:23.560 --> 00:02:30.560 of God and you know, oh shucks. Yeah. So then we see disruptive glory so brilliantly portrayed 00:02:30.560 --> 00:02:37.560 in... I think it's Numbers 14 or thereabouts where a pillar of fire moves from the front 00:02:37.560 --> 00:02:42.560 of the Israelites to the back and it's the glory of God, the Shekinah cloud of God standing 00:02:42.560 --> 00:02:47.560 between the Egyptians and the Israelites. And it's so disruptive because to one side 00:02:47.560 --> 00:02:53.560 it is life and light. To the other side it is darkness, confusion and dullness. This 00:02:53.560 --> 00:02:58.560 is the difference between the two. It's the difference between the two. It's the difference 00:02:58.560 --> 00:03:03.560 between confusion and dullness. This is the nature of his glory and this is what he wants 00:03:03.560 --> 00:03:10.560 to bring on us and through us to the earth at this present time. There is the sun standing 00:03:12.560 --> 00:03:18.620 still. That is the glory of God. The earth and the fullness there of displays its glory, 00:03:18.620 --> 00:03:23.220 it says, and then the same God who said, let there be light, before there was a sun, now 00:03:23.220 --> 00:03:29.900 now makes the sun stand still and throws the entire universe out of whack by making, at 00:03:29.900 --> 00:03:34.520 least our galaxy out of whack by making the sun stand still. 00:03:34.520 --> 00:03:39.900 Disruptive glory that devastates the enemy and gives life to his people. 00:03:39.900 --> 00:03:44.020 You see disruptive glory when Saul is out to get David. 00:03:44.020 --> 00:03:50.000 He hears that David is in Nayoth in Rama and he sends soldiers and then eventually the 00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:54.740 soldiers go up and as they're going up they meet a group of prophets and they start prophesying 00:03:54.740 --> 00:03:56.000 and they're helpless. 00:03:56.000 --> 00:03:58.680 They went to arrest David, they end up prophesying. 00:03:58.680 --> 00:04:02.280 Saul went up, the same thing had happened to him before. 00:04:02.280 --> 00:04:07.240 Disruptive glory can turn your enemy into your friend. 00:04:07.240 --> 00:04:09.680 You see that in the fist-sized cloud. 00:04:09.680 --> 00:04:14.760 No rain for two and a half or three years and then suddenly the glory of God changes 00:04:14.760 --> 00:04:17.580 the cloud the size of a fist into the sound of rain. 00:04:17.580 --> 00:04:22.820 You see the disruptive glory of God in Nineveh, a city given to wickedness, a city that was 00:04:22.820 --> 00:04:28.340 destined for destruction and there comes the glory of God through a reluctant prophet, 00:04:28.340 --> 00:04:29.960 through a reluctant prophet. 00:04:29.960 --> 00:04:34.880 The glory of God as in the splendor, the character, a display of God's glory in that. 00:11:38.480 --> 00:11:43.620 Every promise that has been given to you by God must come to pass simply because he is 00:11:43.700 --> 00:11:48.660 faithful and you build an altar or a symbol that symbolizes what God is doing. 00:19:12.700 --> 00:19:18.260 These are the ways people would respond to the glory of God throughout the Bible. 00:19:18.260 --> you would identify with it. 00:19:29.340 --> 00:19:35.180 You would, if necessary, change your name or you would let people know that this is 00:19:35.180 --> 00:19:36.220 what is happening.
