00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.000
The title for today is No Hold Over Me.

00:00:05.000 --> 00:00:11.120
And so we talk about how God's glory is disruptive in the sense that it devastates the enemy

00:00:11.120 --> 00:00:15.440
and it just builds us up as people.

00:00:15.440 --> 00:00:20.960
His glory is basically his splendor, his weight, his magnificence, his power, his laughter,

00:00:20.960 --> 00:00:22.080
his goodness.

00:00:22.080 --> 00:00:23.680
Laughter is part of his glory.

00:00:23.680 --> 00:00:25.840
This God isn't a sad God.

00:00:25.840 --> 00:00:28.760
This God is just so joyful.

00:00:28.760 --> 00:00:31.720
Which is why he hates stuff like death and sorrow.

00:00:31.720 --> 00:00:36.560
Which is why when you finally get to where he lives at present, you'll find that there

00:00:36.560 --> 00:00:40.760
is no death, there is no sorrow, there is no tears, there is no fears.

00:00:40.760 --> 00:00:43.960
There's only this thing called laughter and joy.

00:00:43.960 --> 00:00:46.040
That alone should be a selling point.

00:00:46.040 --> 00:00:53.440
Can you imagine a life where you don't cry, where you don't have pain, where there is

00:00:53.440 --> 00:00:56.980
no shame, no guilt, no fear?

00:00:56.980 --> 00:00:58.380
So this is part of his glory.

00:00:58.380 --> 00:01:04.060
The idea of his power, his laughter, his goodness, his magnificence, his weight.

00:01:04.060 --> 00:01:10.260
That's the actual word for glory in Hebrew, kabod, or the weight of him.

00:01:10.260 --> 00:01:16.580
And so we are saying that God's glory is so disruptive that on one hand it devastates

00:01:16.580 --> 00:01:19.860
Satan's plans, devastates, nothing is left.

00:01:19.860 --> 00:01:22.260
He decimates Satan's plans.

00:01:22.260 --> 00:01:28.300
And on the other hand for the people of the earth, as in the ones he's created, us, his

00:01:28.300 --> 00:01:33.180
power, his laughter, his weight, his magnificence, his splendor, just lifts us up into another

00:01:33.180 --> 00:01:34.180
plane.

00:01:34.180 --> 00:01:35.180
And that's what we've been talking about.

00:01:35.180 --> 00:01:41.660
And so today we'll talk about how one of the things he did, and the Bible talks about it,

00:01:41.660 --> 00:01:49.580
it says in Colossians 2, 15 for instance, the glory of Christ reached its apex, the

00:01:49.580 --> 00:01:54.940
glory of Christ reached its apex in his obedient sacrifice on the cross.

00:01:54.940 --> 00:02:08.260
The glory of Christ, the glory of Christ reached its peak on the cross.

00:02:08.260 --> 00:02:12.700
That's when you realize, oh shucks, look at what he's done.

00:02:12.700 --> 00:02:30.420
And it was devastatingly disruptive for Satan.

00:02:30.420 --> 00:02:31.420
Devastatingly disruptive for Satan.

00:02:31.420 --> 00:02:50.980
And if you read Colossians 2, 15, Colossians 2, 15, Colossians 2, 15, it says that, I'll

00:02:50.980 --> 00:02:58.220
read from verse 14 onwards, it says, verse 13, when you were dead in your sins, God made

00:02:58.620 --> 00:03:02.660
you, when you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,

00:03:02.660 --> 00:03:04.060
God made you alive with Christ.

00:03:04.060 --> 00:03:10.220
He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code with its regulations that

00:03:10.220 --> 00:03:13.200
was against us and that stood opposed to us.

00:03:13.200 --> 00:03:19.540
He took it away, nailing it to the cross, and having disarmed powers and authorities,

00:03:19.540 --> 00:03:23.540
he made them a public spectacle, triumphing over them by the cross.

00:03:23.540 --> 00:03:25.860
Let me read that from the message.

00:03:25.860 --> 00:03:31.660
Colossians 2, 15.

00:03:31.660 --> 00:03:36.220
Here's what it says.

00:03:36.220 --> 00:03:42.100
When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God.

00:03:42.100 --> 00:03:44.580
God brought you alive right along with Christ.

00:03:44.580 --> 00:03:51.300
Think of it, all sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled,

00:03:51.300 --> 00:03:53.260
nailed to Christ's cross.

00:03:53.260 --> 00:03:58.620
He stripped all the spiritual tyrants in the universe of their sham authority at the

00:03:58.620 --> 00:04:03.780
cross and marched them naked through the streets.

00:04:03.780 --> 00:04:09.100
That's what happens at the cross, where his glory is so tremendous that it absolutely

00:04:09.100 --> 00:04:12.780
devastates every device of the devil.

00:04:12.780 --> 00:04:19.940
That's what we're going to focus on today for the next hour or so.

00:04:19.940 --> 00:04:31.260
If you read John 13, 31.

00:04:31.260 --> 00:04:38.140
This is a statement Jesus makes immediately after Judas dips his bread in the bowl and

00:04:38.140 --> 00:04:40.740
eats it and he's leaving to betray Jesus.

00:04:40.740 --> 00:04:43.460
That's when Jesus makes his statement.

00:04:43.460 --> 00:04:45.220
John 13, 31.

00:04:45.220 --> 00:04:51.100
When Judas was gone, Jesus said, now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified

00:04:51.100 --> 00:04:52.100
in him.

00:04:52.100 --> 00:05:00.180
If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself and glorify him at once.

00:05:00.180 --> 00:05:02.160
Complicated sentence, but here's what he's saying.

00:05:02.160 --> 00:05:04.940
At the moment that he's going to be betrayed and he's going to be crucified, look at the

00:05:04.940 --> 00:05:05.940
statement he makes.

00:05:05.940 --> 00:05:11.500
At this moment, I have never been as glorified as at this moment.

00:05:11.500 --> 00:05:16.720
As I go to the cross, you will see my glory like no other time.

00:05:16.720 --> 00:05:20.860
This is why when you watch the movie, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, you see

00:05:20.860 --> 00:05:26.220
Aslan, who represents Jesus Christ, lying on that slab, absolutely cold, and you see

00:05:26.220 --> 00:05:28.700
those demonic beings dancing around him.

00:05:28.700 --> 00:05:33.420
I don't know if you remember that scene where the white witch has just stabbed him with

00:05:33.420 --> 00:05:37.200
that spear and he lies there dead.

00:05:37.200 --> 00:05:45.840
The stone is kind of broken and these demonic beings are surrounding him with glee.

00:05:45.840 --> 00:05:50.720
That was one of the most glorious moments in the universe.

00:05:50.720 --> 00:05:57.840
In that moment was the devastation of the devil.

00:05:57.840 --> 00:06:03.240
That's why here is Judas betraying him and he's going to have Jesus crucified and Jesus

00:06:03.240 --> 00:06:07.780
says, now the son is glorified and the father will glorify the son.

00:06:07.780 --> 00:06:12.300
Look at another scripture in 1 Corinthians 1.24.

00:06:12.300 --> 00:06:17.060
1 Corinthians 1.24.

00:06:17.060 --> 00:06:20.060
1 Corinthians 1.24.

00:06:20.060 --> 00:06:27.560
It says there, starting at 22, Jews demand miraculous signs.

00:06:27.560 --> 00:06:33.560
Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews,

00:06:33.560 --> 00:06:38.000
foolishness to the Gentiles, but to those whom God has called both Jews and Greeks,

00:06:38.000 --> 00:06:40.600
Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

00:06:40.600 --> 00:06:41.600
Read it from the message.

00:06:41.600 --> 00:06:44.600
1 Corinthians 1.24.

00:06:44.600 --> 00:06:49.000
Here's what it says.

00:06:49.000 --> 00:06:54.000
While Jews clamor for miraculous demonstrations and Greeks go for philosophical wisdom, we

00:06:54.000 --> 00:06:57.400
go right on proclaiming Christ the crucified.

00:06:57.400 --> 00:06:59.360
Jews treat this like an anti-miracle.

00:06:59.360 --> 00:07:04.640
Greeks pass it off as absurd, but to us who are personally called by God himself, both

00:07:04.640 --> 00:07:12.040
Jews and Greeks, Christ is God's ultimate miracle and wisdom all wrapped in one.

00:07:12.040 --> 00:07:17.760
And so at the end of the day, the reason Paul kept saying, hey, listen, focus on Christ

00:07:17.760 --> 00:07:22.840
crucified is simply because it's the most glorious moment in the universe.

00:07:22.840 --> 00:07:26.960
Any questions on that before we go on?

00:07:26.960 --> 00:07:42.240
So if he's devastated the works of the devil, then we don't have to labor under it, and

00:07:42.240 --> 00:07:45.080
that's perhaps where we want to go today.

00:07:45.080 --> 00:07:46.240
So here's a question I have.

00:07:46.240 --> 00:07:50.600
Turn to John 14.30.

00:07:50.600 --> 00:07:52.840
Can we get to a point where we can say this?

00:07:52.840 --> 00:07:53.840
John 14.30.

00:07:53.840 --> 00:07:55.160
Here's what it says.

00:07:56.160 --> 00:08:07.160
The prince of the world, as in Satan, is coming.

00:08:07.160 --> 00:08:10.160
But I love the next thing.

00:08:11.160 --> 00:08:28.160
But he has no hold over or on me.

00:08:28.160 --> 00:08:38.160
The King James Version says he has nothing in me.

00:08:38.160 --> 00:08:43.160
This is where I want all of us to get to.

00:08:43.160 --> 00:08:46.160
John 14.30.

00:08:46.160 --> 00:08:49.160
I will not speak to you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming.

00:08:49.160 --> 00:08:51.160
He has no hold over me.

00:08:51.160 --> 00:08:53.160
He has no hold over me.

00:08:53.160 --> 00:08:56.160
I want us to come to a place as a church where we can say this.

00:08:56.160 --> 00:08:59.160
He has no hold over me.

00:08:59.160 --> 00:09:01.160
No hold over me.

00:09:01.160 --> 00:09:08.160
Because if Jesus has dealt such a devastating blow on the cross to the works of the devil,

00:09:08.160 --> 00:09:11.160
why is it that we need to continue under it?

00:09:11.160 --> 00:09:14.160
He has no hold over me.

00:09:14.160 --> 00:09:21.160
It's very hard to minister freedom to someone if I am wrestling or struggling with the bondage.

00:09:21.160 --> 00:09:30.160
So if he has no hold over me, then I can then set people free from situations where there's a hold on them.

00:09:30.160 --> 00:09:32.160
He has no hold over me.

00:09:32.160 --> 00:09:36.160
How do we get to a place where we can say that?

00:09:36.160 --> 00:09:40.160
So let's start with who Satan is.

00:09:40.160 --> 00:09:42.160
Very short.

00:09:42.160 --> 00:09:46.160
He was a serpent in the garden.

00:09:46.160 --> 00:09:50.160
And you see that in Genesis 1 and 2.

00:09:50.160 --> 00:09:56.160
He's called the devil, and the devil means slanderer.

00:09:56.160 --> 00:10:03.160
He's also called Satan, which means accuser.

00:10:03.160 --> 00:10:09.160
He's also called the deceiver, which means he deceives obviously.

00:10:09.160 --> 00:10:11.160
He's got some other problems too.

00:10:11.160 --> 00:10:14.160
He's a rebel.

00:10:14.160 --> 00:10:24.160
He's set on a course of self-exaltation, as in he loves exalting himself.

00:10:24.160 --> 00:10:26.160
That's what got him into trouble in the first place.

00:10:26.160 --> 00:10:30.160
He wanted to exalt himself beyond God, above God.

00:10:30.160 --> 00:10:38.160
And he also is set on a course of self-determination, as in I determine my future.

00:10:38.160 --> 00:10:42.160
And that is at the heart of Satanism and witchcraft.

00:10:42.160 --> 00:10:50.160
Satanism and witchcraft thrive on the simple premise that we self-determine our paths,

00:10:51.160 --> 00:10:54.160
that man is a self-determined creature.

00:10:54.160 --> 00:10:57.160
What I call good is good. What I call evil is evil.

00:10:57.160 --> 00:10:59.160
Morals are relative.

00:10:59.160 --> 00:11:02.160
Self-determination lies at the heart of Satanism and witchcraft.

00:11:02.160 --> 00:11:06.160
Witchcraft is actually being an authority unto oneself.

00:11:06.160 --> 00:11:13.160
In its simplest core form, witchcraft is being an authority unto oneself.

00:11:13.160 --> 00:11:15.160
He's a liar.

00:11:15.160 --> 00:11:18.160
Jesus said that in John 8, 44.

00:11:18.160 --> 00:11:20.160
He said Satan's a liar.

00:11:20.160 --> 00:11:24.160
And every time, Jacob, you lie, you are following in the paths of your father.

00:11:24.160 --> 00:11:28.160
He wasn't talking about his father. He was talking about Satan as a liar.

00:11:28.160 --> 00:11:30.160
These are characteristics then.

00:11:30.160 --> 00:11:35.160
If you want to live a life that is free of bondage,

00:11:35.160 --> 00:11:39.160
and you want to begin to live a life where John 14, 30 is something you and I can say,

00:11:39.160 --> 00:11:41.160
that he has no hold over me.

00:11:41.160 --> 00:11:47.160
One of the simplest places we can begin at is if we decide not to live,

00:11:48.160 --> 00:11:52.160
we need to share in these characteristics.

00:11:57.160 --> 00:11:59.160
It may not happen overnight.

00:12:02.160 --> 00:12:06.160
It's odd how kids learn to do this by the time they're three years old.

00:12:06.160 --> 00:12:12.160
Kids slander, kids accuse, kids lie, kids deceive, kids rebel.

00:12:13.160 --> 00:12:17.160
And so sometimes this is not possible to overcome it overnight.

00:12:17.160 --> 00:12:21.160
So what if every time I slander, or I speak ill of you, or I gossip,

00:12:21.160 --> 00:12:26.160
every time I accuse you, every time I deceive you, every time I lie,

00:12:26.160 --> 00:12:29.160
every time I rebel against order or what is set in place,

00:12:29.160 --> 00:12:34.160
every time I self-exalt myself, every time I take over the reins of my life,

00:12:34.160 --> 00:12:40.160
every time I lie, what if I decided I wouldn't participate in these characteristics?

00:12:41.160 --> 00:12:45.160
I get to a place where he will have no hold on me.

00:12:46.160 --> 00:12:50.160
That's a great place to be, not just for yourself because it benefits others.

00:12:50.160 --> 00:12:53.160
The moment you get to this place where he has no hold on you,

00:12:53.160 --> 00:12:56.160
you begin to set others free, easily.

00:13:01.160 --> 00:13:03.160
Any questions?

00:13:06.160 --> 00:13:09.160
Hate these, hate these characteristics with a passion.

00:13:09.160 --> 00:13:14.160
Hate it. Every time you see yourself aligning under these, hate it.

00:13:15.160 --> 00:13:19.160
Like I said last week, hate is the only way to get rid of some things.

00:13:19.160 --> 00:13:22.160
Anything that you don't hate, you will tolerate.

00:13:30.160 --> 00:13:32.160
Any questions?

00:13:35.160 --> 00:13:37.160
Okay.

00:13:37.160 --> 00:13:40.160
So what was the disruptive work at the cross?

00:13:40.160 --> 00:13:42.160
What was the disruptive work at the cross?

00:13:42.160 --> 00:13:47.160
Because if we can identify the disruptive work that happened at the cross,

00:13:48.160 --> 00:13:51.160
then we can make sure that we never labor under it again.

00:13:51.160 --> 00:13:53.160
And here, what is it?

00:13:53.160 --> 00:13:55.160
Here was the disruptive work at the cross.

00:13:55.160 --> 00:13:57.160
It's in Colossians 2, verse 16.

00:13:57.160 --> 00:13:58.160
It's brilliant.

00:13:58.160 --> 00:14:01.160
And I pray that you and I never labor under it again

00:14:01.160 --> 00:14:03.160
and every time we get caught in it, that we,

00:14:03.160 --> 00:14:05.160
break free, saying, I know what Jesus did.

00:14:05.160 --> 00:14:07.160
I am going to go under that yoke.

00:14:07.160 --> 00:14:11.160
Colossians 2, verse 15.

00:14:11.160 --> 00:14:14.160
And having disarmed the powers and authorities,

00:14:14.160 --> 00:14:16.160
he made a public spectacle of them,

00:14:16.160 --> 00:14:18.160
triumphing over them by the cross.

00:14:18.160 --> 00:14:19.160
Verse 14.

00:14:19.160 --> 00:14:22.160
Having canceled the written code with its regulations,

00:14:22.160 --> 00:14:24.160
that was against us and that stood opposed to us.

00:14:24.160 --> 00:14:27.160
So here's the thing about the disruptive work at the cross.

00:14:27.160 --> 00:14:31.160
It's a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very,

00:14:31.160 --> 00:14:33.160
very, very, very, very, very, very, very,

00:14:33.160 --> 00:14:35.160
very, very, very, very, very, very,

00:14:35.160 --> 00:14:38.160
very powerful, powerful, powerful act stood opposed to us.

00:14:38.160 --> 00:14:45.160
So here's the thing, guys, when Jesus said that he disarmed powers at the cross,

00:14:49.160 --> 00:14:52.160
when Jesus said he disarmed powers at the cross,

00:14:52.160 --> 00:14:56.160
what he was really saying was that he took away

00:14:56.160 --> 00:15:07.840
hold me or hold anybody to the debt of their sins.

00:15:07.840 --> 00:15:11.120
That's what he did.

00:15:11.120 --> 00:15:12.520
Spend some time here.

00:15:12.520 --> 00:15:18.480
Hey, when you do harm to somebody and you know you're wrong and that they were innocent,

00:15:18.480 --> 00:15:20.320
you struggle with the guilt of it.

00:15:20.320 --> 00:15:22.320
Hey, you feel obliged to now make it up.

00:15:22.320 --> 00:15:25.040
You try to get back into the good books of people.

00:15:25.040 --> 00:15:28.400
Meet your husband, your wife, your father, your mother, your friend.

00:15:28.400 --> 00:15:30.720
With God it is the same thing.

00:15:30.720 --> 00:15:35.240
For a people who are restored and forgiven, I'm talking about those that have given their

00:15:35.240 --> 00:15:40.520
lives to Jesus Christ, for a people that are restored and forgiven, we labor under sin

00:15:40.520 --> 00:15:42.080
way too much.

00:15:42.080 --> 00:15:48.160
And let today be a day when we are forever set free from laboring under it, as in carrying

00:15:48.160 --> 00:15:55.000
it around for a day or two, walking in the sense of not being sure whether it's taken

00:15:55.000 --> 00:16:00.880
care of, whether I'm fully accepted or not, whether I have to be a good day or two, whether

00:16:00.880 --> 00:16:02.680
I have to promise him stuff.

00:16:02.680 --> 00:16:07.480
Now, one of the things that Jesus did at the cross when he disarmed the powers at the cross

00:16:07.480 --> 00:16:13.440
was to disarm Satan's power to hold the debt of sin against me.

00:16:13.440 --> 00:16:16.440
And Satan used to have the legal right to do this.

00:16:16.440 --> 00:16:17.440
You must understand that.

00:16:17.720 --> 00:16:19.560
Let's write that down and we can talk about it.

00:16:19.560 --> 00:16:44.400
Satan used, Satan used, Satan uses the legal standing he had in wielding the law to separate

00:16:44.400 --> 00:16:45.400
us from God.

00:16:45.880 --> 00:16:50.920
I know these are unnecessarily complex sentences, to separate us from God.

00:16:50.920 --> 00:16:52.920
So here's how it is.

00:16:52.920 --> 00:16:55.560
It is that I set a law.

00:16:55.560 --> 00:16:59.360
The law is you cannot breathe for the next 20 seconds.

00:16:59.360 --> 00:17:00.360
He breaks the law.

00:17:00.360 --> 00:17:01.560
He starts breathing.

00:17:01.560 --> 00:17:06.800
Now that he starts breathing and doesn't not breathe for 20 seconds, I come around and

00:17:06.800 --> 00:17:09.840
say, hey, you've been breathing for the last 20 seconds.

00:17:09.840 --> 00:17:13.080
Because you've been breathing for the last 20 seconds, I have the legal right to do you

00:17:13.080 --> 00:17:14.080
harm.

00:17:15.640 --> 00:17:18.880
Because you've been breathing for the last 20 seconds, and it's God's law that you're

00:17:18.880 --> 00:17:23.360
not supposed to breathe for the last 20 seconds, God is going to punish you.

00:17:23.360 --> 00:17:27.400
Because you've been breathing for the last 20 seconds, God is not happy with you.

00:17:27.400 --> 00:17:30.420
Because you've been breathing for the last 20 seconds, you will now have to make sure

00:17:30.420 --> 00:17:34.920
you don't breathe for 40 seconds so that you can make up for the sin you committed.

00:17:34.920 --> 00:17:39.440
Because you have not breathed, you are no longer qualified to stand there and breathe.

00:17:39.440 --> 00:17:42.680
Because you breathe for the last 20 seconds, you need to read the Bible a little more,

00:17:42.680 --> 00:17:44.380
sing a few more songs.

00:17:44.380 --> 00:17:48.340
Because you breathe for the last 20 seconds, show me that you're actually repentant.

00:17:48.340 --> 00:17:50.200
How do you show it, man?

00:17:50.200 --> 00:17:53.580
It's a condition of the heart.

00:17:53.580 --> 00:17:58.940
Or because you breathe for the last 20 seconds, you have to spend at least two days following

00:17:58.940 --> 00:18:04.100
everything that God has specified to the T before you can say, oh, God, use me again.

00:18:04.100 --> 00:18:10.820
We make ourselves so separated from God, so unused of God, so guilt-ridden, so unforgiven,

00:18:10.820 --> 00:18:13.980
till we work our ways back into God's good books.

00:18:13.980 --> 00:18:14.980
Why?

00:18:14.980 --> 00:18:15.980
Because this is our human experience.

00:18:15.980 --> 00:18:18.780
Our human experience is when I disappoint you, you disappoint me.

00:18:18.780 --> 00:18:21.160
When I do you harm and you do me harm.

00:18:21.160 --> 00:18:25.660
We have to now begin to make up before we can get back into people's good books.

00:18:25.660 --> 00:18:26.900
There's always fear involved.

00:18:26.900 --> 00:18:28.700
There's always a sense of penalty involved.

00:18:28.700 --> 00:18:32.420
There's always a sense of not fully accepted involved.

00:18:32.420 --> 00:18:37.580
God wants to say to you, you're fully accepted.

00:18:37.580 --> 00:18:41.660
Right from the day you were born, regardless of where you've been, regardless of the different

00:18:41.660 --> 00:18:47.020
homes you've spent time in, regardless of how others treated you, God wants you, Marisa,

00:18:47.020 --> 00:18:49.980
to know that you are fully accepted.

00:18:49.980 --> 00:18:50.980
Fully accepted.

00:18:50.980 --> 00:18:53.560
You don't have to do a thing.

00:18:53.560 --> 00:18:58.740
What I'm saying to Marisa is what applies to all of us.

00:18:58.740 --> 00:19:00.300
Fully accepted.

00:19:00.300 --> 00:19:02.860
All the time.

00:19:02.860 --> 00:19:07.140
I have to stop letting sin become anything that prevents me from approaching God.

00:19:07.140 --> 00:19:10.660
I've got to stop it.

00:19:10.660 --> 00:19:14.900
Just make up your mind today that one of the things that happened on the cross that

00:19:14.900 --> 00:19:20.660
was so disruptive was Satan lost the power to use the debt of sin to separate you, keep

00:19:20.660 --> 00:19:24.740
you away, make you unacceptable, make you unusable.

00:19:24.740 --> 00:19:26.660
He completely lost that power.

00:19:26.660 --> 00:19:30.140
How does he perpetuate it now?

00:19:30.140 --> 00:19:34.180
By enforcing a lie, sometimes through pastors, sometimes through Christian circles, sometimes

00:19:34.180 --> 00:19:36.620
through parents, sometimes through Sunday school.

00:19:36.620 --> 00:19:40.540
Our kids are taught right from when they are born that you do something wrong, God's going

00:19:40.540 --> 00:19:41.700
to punish you.

00:19:41.700 --> 00:19:46.140
I know this is old stories being rehashed again and again, but this is the truth.

00:19:46.140 --> 00:19:51.540
We in this church, we in many other churches, we as Christians are supposed to be a restored

00:19:51.540 --> 00:19:56.660
forgiven people, but we do not walk as restored forgiven people.

00:19:56.660 --> 00:19:57.660
Make up your mind today.

00:19:57.660 --> 00:20:03.860
I made up my mind a couple of days ago that it is impossible for me to live without sinning

00:20:03.860 --> 00:20:06.460
for the next 50 years.

00:20:06.460 --> 00:20:10.140
But every time I sin, I will go to God and say, I messed up again.

00:20:10.140 --> 00:20:16.420
And then I will not labor under the debt of trying to earn my way back, of trying to

00:20:16.420 --> 00:20:20.780
be restored, of trying to be forgiven, of trying to be good, of trying to work my mind

00:20:20.780 --> 00:20:22.340
around, will God use me?

00:20:22.340 --> 00:20:24.780
Will I be effective?

00:20:24.780 --> 00:20:26.540
I'm done with that.

00:20:26.540 --> 00:20:30.140
You got to decide today that you are done with it.

00:20:30.140 --> 00:20:34.180
But Jacob, does that mean that I can keep on sinning because by feeling guilty, I perhaps

00:20:34.180 --> 00:20:35.180
don't sin?

00:20:35.420 --> 00:20:40.660
If you are forgiven and you choose to sin, that's your problem, man.

00:20:40.660 --> 00:20:51.660
When someone loves you like crazy, you begin to change the right way, not the wrong way.

00:20:51.660 --> 00:20:56.060
We cannot put guardrails for people.

00:20:56.060 --> 00:20:57.540
Love is the only guardrail we have.

00:20:57.540 --> 00:21:00.780
God loves you so much that it should begin to change my heart to the point where I hate

00:21:00.780 --> 00:21:02.580
sinning and that I like him too much.

00:21:02.980 --> 00:21:06.020
And the only reason I stop sinning is because I like him too much.

00:21:06.020 --> 00:21:07.100
That should be the only guardrail.

00:21:07.100 --> 00:21:16.660
The only guardrail in a Christian's life must be, gosh, he likes me too much.

00:21:16.660 --> 00:21:27.660
This church must decide that we will never labor under the shame, the guilt of sin again.

00:21:27.660 --> 00:21:31.700
It was one of the most glorious things that happened on the cross, taking away the power

00:21:31.820 --> 00:21:39.380
of someone, to use a weapon that was actually forged by the Old Testament.

00:21:39.380 --> 00:21:41.700
You do this, you will be punished.

00:21:41.700 --> 00:21:47.660
First Corinthians 1556 says it, the sting of death is sin and sin is given its power

00:21:47.660 --> 00:21:49.420
by the law.

00:21:49.420 --> 00:21:54.500
The sting of death is sin and sin is given its power by the law.

00:21:54.500 --> 00:21:57.300
As in, God said, don't do this, don't do this, don't do this.

00:21:57.300 --> 00:21:59.260
You do that, now you sin.

00:21:59.260 --> 00:22:01.580
And if you sin, you die.

00:22:02.460 --> 00:22:04.660
And that is the most glorious thing that happened on the cross.

00:22:04.660 --> 00:22:06.660
He took it away.

00:22:06.660 --> 00:22:07.660
How?

00:22:07.660 --> 00:22:10.300
By taking on the sting of death and dying.

00:22:10.300 --> 00:22:13.380
The law was forever fulfilled.

00:22:15.380 --> 00:22:17.380
Any questions?

00:22:26.380 --> 00:22:28.780
Teach your kids differently.

00:22:28.780 --> 00:22:30.140
Teach your kids differently.

00:22:30.700 --> 00:22:33.420
Why are we the way we are?

00:22:33.420 --> 00:22:36.420
Because all our lives we've been told otherwise.

00:22:39.420 --> 00:22:44.420
A heart that is truly broken before God is forgiven instantly.

00:22:44.420 --> 00:22:49.900
A heart that is in the process of breaking is seen at a distance and you are forgiven

00:22:49.900 --> 00:22:50.900
instantly.

00:22:50.900 --> 00:22:52.420
Case in point, Prodigal Son.

00:22:52.420 --> 00:22:54.100
He's planning a speech, man.

00:22:54.100 --> 00:22:57.300
I've got to get back to my father, I've got to tell him, treat me as a servant, I'm really

00:22:57.300 --> 00:22:58.300
sorry for what I did.

00:22:58.460 --> 00:23:02.820
The father sees him at a distance, the guy hasn't even launched into his speech and he's

00:23:02.820 --> 00:23:03.820
already taken care of.

00:23:03.820 --> 00:23:04.820
Why?

00:23:04.820 --> 00:23:07.020
Because God sees repentance at a distance.

00:23:07.020 --> 00:23:08.500
God sees a turnaround at a distance.

00:23:08.500 --> 00:23:10.580
He doesn't wait for it to complete even.

00:23:10.580 --> 00:23:11.580
What kind of God is this?

00:23:11.580 --> 00:23:14.420
I mean, at least wait to see if it is real.

00:23:14.420 --> 00:23:17.020
Nah, he looks at the heart and he says, Jacob, that is real.

00:23:17.020 --> 00:23:22.180
I don't even know if you can, God knows whether I can really walk in it or not, but he sees

00:23:22.180 --> 00:23:26.660
such real turnering around that he says, don't say a word.

00:23:26.660 --> 00:23:29.980
You had me at the Tom Cruise line.

00:23:29.980 --> 00:23:30.980
Yeah.

00:23:30.980 --> 00:23:32.740
You had me at hello.

00:23:32.740 --> 00:23:35.540
It's a, yeah.

00:23:35.540 --> 00:23:40.260
That's how this works.

00:23:40.260 --> 00:23:45.180
This is what Satan has used for centuries, man, and he'll continue using.

00:23:45.180 --> 00:23:47.860
There's only two reactions to this from the world.

00:23:47.860 --> 00:23:51.820
Either they feel terribly guilty and they don't want to approach a holy God or they

00:23:51.820 --> 00:23:53.820
say to heck with you.

00:23:53.820 --> 00:23:55.580
I can't labor under this.

00:23:55.580 --> 00:23:58.100
We Christians are caught somewhere in between.

00:23:58.100 --> 00:24:04.580
We are guys who have been forgiven, but don't walk in it.

00:24:04.580 --> 00:24:07.560
Set people free from this, man.

00:24:07.560 --> 00:24:10.820
But how can I set people free from this if I'm not free myself?

00:24:10.820 --> 00:24:15.620
Religiosity, religion, tradition is exactly this.

00:24:15.620 --> 00:24:18.220
Work your way back into the good books of God.

00:24:18.220 --> 00:24:22.100
A, I only occupy one book and it's a good book.

00:24:22.100 --> 00:24:23.620
I'm always on that page.

00:24:23.660 --> 00:24:26.180
I'm always present before the father.

00:24:26.180 --> 00:24:31.180
The only way I will disappear from the presence of the father is if Jesus disappears from

00:24:31.180 --> 00:24:33.340
the presence of the father.

00:24:33.340 --> 00:24:38.420
It's the only way I'm getting out of there.

00:24:38.420 --> 00:24:42.660
The only thing that happens now when I sin is that I am unable to relate to him like

00:24:42.660 --> 00:24:44.540
I need to.

00:24:44.540 --> 00:24:46.540
That's the only thing that happens, guys.

00:24:46.540 --> 00:24:50.860
When I sin, I'm unable to relate to him the way I need to.

00:24:50.860 --> 00:24:55.180
And when I'm unable to relate to him the way I need to, I start making mistakes.

00:25:01.180 --> 00:25:07.620
And in those mistakes, cause and effect happens.

00:25:07.620 --> 00:25:13.300
Repentance is actually saying, I know I'm forgiven, but I want relationship.

00:25:13.300 --> 00:25:16.020
Forgiveness is not enough anymore as a Christian.

00:25:16.020 --> 00:25:17.020
Can you believe that?

00:25:17.020 --> 00:25:18.260
Look at what we are saying.

00:25:18.260 --> 00:25:21.460
The world is hungering for forgiveness.

00:25:21.460 --> 00:25:25.020
Christians must be hungering for relationship.

00:25:25.020 --> 00:25:26.540
The world needs forgiveness.

00:25:26.540 --> 00:25:27.540
Give them Jesus Christ.

00:25:27.540 --> 00:25:32.020
Tell them, here is a man who paid for your sins and therefore can forgive you.

00:25:32.020 --> 00:25:35.340
But to Christians, that's not the message.

00:25:35.340 --> 00:25:39.040
1 John 1, 9 wasn't written to Christians.

00:25:39.040 --> 00:25:44.100
If you will confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you.

00:25:44.100 --> 00:25:46.280
That wasn't being said.

00:25:46.280 --> 00:25:48.160
What if someone says he does not have sin?

00:25:48.160 --> 00:25:49.560
You cannot be a Christian if you say that.

00:25:49.560 --> 00:25:54.640
It was being written as a message to people outside saying, hey, if you confess your sins,

00:25:54.640 --> 00:25:56.060
Jesus Christ will forgive you.

00:25:56.060 --> 00:26:00.720
But for us Christians, it's not that I'm looking for forgiveness anymore.

00:26:00.720 --> 00:26:06.280
I'm looking to be restored back into relationship because I was forgiven and the debt can never

00:26:06.280 --> 00:26:07.480
be imposed on me.

00:26:07.480 --> 00:26:11.260
It can never be said of Jacob that you are separate from God.

00:26:11.260 --> 00:26:14.640
It can never be said of Jacob that you don't have his favor.

00:26:14.640 --> 00:26:18.440
It can never be said of Jacob that you will now have to work your way.

00:26:18.440 --> 00:26:19.440
You're not usable.

00:26:19.440 --> 00:26:21.400
You have to show great repentance.

00:26:21.400 --> 00:26:24.400
He sees my heart at a distance and he says, there's my boy.

00:26:24.400 --> 00:26:28.040
He's coming back again.

00:26:28.040 --> 00:26:29.600
All I want now is relationship.

00:26:29.600 --> 00:26:34.640
Now that I'm forgiven and restored, give me back the sweetness of my relationship with

00:26:34.640 --> 00:26:39.240
you because I hear your voice.

00:26:39.240 --> 00:26:41.320
What's the next line?

00:26:41.320 --> 00:26:45.560
I hear your voice.

00:26:45.560 --> 00:26:46.560
Sorry?

00:26:46.560 --> 00:26:52.600
You have led me through the fire.

00:26:52.600 --> 00:26:53.600
Next line?

00:26:53.600 --> 00:26:54.600
You have...

00:26:54.600 --> 00:26:58.520
And then the next two lines.

00:26:58.520 --> 00:27:00.840
I know you as a father.

00:27:00.840 --> 00:27:06.440
I know you as a friend and I have lived in the goodness of God.

00:27:06.440 --> 00:27:08.360
That's all I'm after.

00:27:08.400 --> 00:27:16.600
Show me to the joy of your fatherhood because I have gotten so used to it that I hate sin

00:27:16.600 --> 00:27:22.760
because it doesn't allow me to relate to you like I normally relate to you.

00:27:22.760 --> 00:27:25.700
You know, that's the thing with good friendships.

00:27:25.700 --> 00:27:29.020
Why do we go back and want good friendships?

00:27:29.020 --> 00:27:35.360
Because it breaks your heart not to be able to walk with your friend like you used to.

00:27:38.860 --> 00:27:43.360
Why do people pine about a broken heart, a lost love?

00:27:43.360 --> 00:27:46.880
Why?

00:27:46.880 --> 00:27:49.880
Because you miss.

00:27:49.880 --> 00:27:54.760
You miss it.

00:27:54.760 --> 00:28:00.640
Draw me close to you.

00:28:00.640 --> 00:28:01.640
Come guys.

00:28:01.640 --> 00:28:06.920
Let's just get back into the place that we are located in.

00:28:06.920 --> 00:28:07.920
Yeah?

00:28:07.920 --> 00:28:12.920
Sing this song and I will continue.

00:28:24.920 --> 00:28:26.920
Yeah.

00:28:31.640 --> 00:28:43.920
Let this be a milestone in our lives.

00:28:43.920 --> 00:28:58.520
Do you guys want to sing?

00:28:58.520 --> 00:29:00.520
Just me or you want them to play?

00:29:01.400 --> 00:29:15.400
We'll change the words around a little.

00:29:15.400 --> 00:29:18.400
We are saying draw me, you draw me close to you.

00:29:18.400 --> 00:29:19.920
You never let me go.

00:29:19.920 --> 00:29:20.920
Yeah?

00:29:20.920 --> 00:29:25.000
Just put you in it so that you're telling him who he, how he is to you.

00:29:25.000 --> 00:29:26.960
You're not asking him this.

00:29:26.960 --> 00:29:27.960
We are forgiven.

00:29:27.960 --> 00:29:28.960
We are restored.

00:29:29.400 --> 00:29:34.400
We are saying from now on we will not labor under the guilt, the shame, the making of

00:29:34.400 --> 00:29:38.640
the obligation, the all that stuff is done.

00:29:38.640 --> 00:29:41.160
We are desperate after relationship.

00:29:41.160 --> 00:29:45.480
We know you do this so here we are.

00:29:45.480 --> 00:29:52.200
You draw me close to you.

00:29:52.200 --> 00:29:57.120
You never let me go.

00:29:57.120 --> 00:29:58.120
Lay down.

00:29:58.280 --> 00:30:03.280
Lay down again.

00:30:03.280 --> 00:30:04.280
Beautiful father.

00:30:04.280 --> 00:30:12.280
Just to hear you say that I'm your friend.

00:30:12.280 --> 00:30:18.720
You are my desire.

00:30:18.720 --> 00:30:25.000
No one else will do.

00:30:25.880 --> 00:30:31.720
Nothing else can take your place.

00:30:31.720 --> 00:30:38.320
To feel the warmth of your embrace.

00:30:38.320 --> 00:30:41.720
You'll help me find my way.

00:30:41.720 --> 00:30:47.000
You bring me back to you.

00:30:47.000 --> 00:30:51.800
One more time from the beginning.

00:30:51.800 --> 00:30:54.920
You draw me close to you.

00:30:54.920 --> 00:30:58.320
You always do father.

00:30:58.320 --> 00:31:03.320
And you never let me go.

00:31:03.320 --> 00:31:11.600
I lay it all down again.

00:31:11.600 --> 00:31:16.600
To hear you say that I'm your friend.

00:31:16.600 --> 00:31:18.400
Beautiful.

00:31:19.000 --> 00:31:25.000
You are my desire.

00:31:25.000 --> 00:31:30.000
No one else will do.

00:31:30.000 --> 00:31:38.000
Nothing else can take your place.

00:31:38.000 --> 00:31:43.000
To feel the warmth of your embrace.

00:31:43.000 --> 00:31:48.000
You'll help me find my way.

00:31:48.000 --> 00:31:53.000
You bring me back to you.

00:31:57.000 --> 00:32:03.000
And you're all I want.

00:32:03.000 --> 00:32:10.000
And you're all I've ever needed.

00:32:10.000 --> 00:32:14.000
And you're all I want.

00:32:14.000 --> 00:32:16.000
I know that you are near.

00:32:16.000 --> 00:32:20.000
I know that you are near.

00:32:20.000 --> 00:32:23.000
You're all I want.

00:32:23.000 --> 00:32:29.000
You're all I want.

00:32:29.000 --> 00:32:36.000
And you're all I've ever needed.

00:32:36.000 --> 00:32:42.000
You're all I want.

00:32:43.000 --> 00:32:48.000
I know that you are near.

00:32:48.000 --> 00:32:49.000
Hallelujah.

00:32:49.000 --> 00:32:56.000
I know that you are near.

00:32:56.000 --> 00:33:03.000
Help me know you are here.

00:33:03.000 --> 00:33:06.000
So thank you Holy Spirit that today,

00:33:06.000 --> 00:33:09.000
right now at this moment in this place,

00:33:09.000 --> 00:33:12.000
you have begun the work of setting us free

00:33:12.000 --> 00:33:15.000
from laboring under the guilt and the shame

00:33:15.000 --> 00:33:18.000
and the fear and the penalty

00:33:18.000 --> 00:33:20.000
of separation, of sin,

00:33:20.000 --> 00:33:24.000
of you being unhappy, of favor being withdrawn,

00:33:24.000 --> 00:33:26.000
of a father with a frown,

00:33:26.000 --> 00:33:29.000
of having to work again.

00:33:29.000 --> 00:33:31.000
We are tired Aba.

00:33:31.000 --> 00:33:35.000
And this was not a tiredness caused by you or the Word.

00:33:35.000 --> 00:33:37.000
We have listened to lies.

00:33:37.000 --> 00:33:40.000
We have listened to the Word today.

00:33:40.000 --> 00:33:44.000
We will miss relating to you every time we sin.

00:33:44.000 --> 00:33:52.000
Our hearts should be powerful enough to draw us back to you.

00:33:52.000 --> 00:33:54.000
Thank you for seeing our hearts,

00:33:54.000 --> 00:33:58.000
knowing repentance at a distance.

00:33:58.000 --> 00:34:01.000
Not only do you run to meet me,

00:34:01.000 --> 00:34:05.000
you then embrace me and kiss me seven times.

00:34:05.000 --> 00:34:08.000
Then I bow to my knee and it says in Psalm 2,

00:34:08.000 --> 00:34:11.000
I kiss the sun.

00:34:11.000 --> 00:34:13.000
Not because he's angry,

00:34:13.000 --> 00:34:18.000
because my heart leaps towards him.

00:34:18.000 --> 00:34:24.000
As the deer pants for the water,

00:34:24.000 --> 00:34:32.000
so my soul longs after you.

00:34:32.000 --> 00:34:38.000
You are all that my heart desires

00:34:38.000 --> 00:34:46.000
and I long to worship you.

00:34:46.000 --> 00:34:53.000
You alone are my strength, my shield.

00:34:53.000 --> 00:35:01.000
To you alone may my spirit yield.

00:35:01.000 --> 00:35:08.000
You are all that my heart desires

00:35:08.000 --> 00:35:14.000
and I long to worship you.

00:35:14.000 --> 00:35:16.000
Bless you Father.

00:35:16.000 --> 00:35:20.000
Thanks James.

00:35:20.000 --> 00:35:22.000
Remember he's an accuser.

00:35:22.000 --> 00:35:24.000
Accusation is his chief activity.

00:35:24.000 --> 00:35:26.000
Be wise to that.

00:35:26.000 --> 00:35:31.000
One of the most powerful weapons of the enemy is accusation.

00:35:31.000 --> 00:35:33.000
He's an accuser.

00:35:33.000 --> 00:35:34.000
He's been doing this.

00:35:34.000 --> 00:35:36.000
He did this to Job in Job chapter 1 and 9.

00:35:36.000 --> 00:35:39.000
He did it to Joshua and Zechariah 3 and 9.

00:35:39.000 --> 00:35:43.000
He did it to Jesus.

00:35:43.000 --> 00:35:45.000
He did it to...

00:35:45.000 --> 00:35:48.000
It says in Revelation 12, 10 that he does it to believers,

00:35:48.000 --> 00:35:51.000
that he accuses them day and night.

00:35:51.000 --> 00:35:56.000
But here's a statement I want you to remember for the rest of your life.

00:35:56.000 --> 00:36:19.000
He cannot bring a successful charge against you.

00:36:19.000 --> 00:36:23.000
Romans 8, 33.

00:36:23.000 --> 00:36:29.000
He accuses Job, he accuses Jesus, he accuses Joshua in Zechariah 3

00:36:29.000 --> 00:36:31.000
where Joshua is a high priest and he says,

00:36:31.000 --> 00:36:35.000
and every time these things happen, God has always come and rescued.

00:36:35.000 --> 00:36:40.000
And then it says in Revelation 12, 10 that he accuses the believers, the saints, day and night.

00:36:40.000 --> 00:36:42.000
But here's the cool thing.

00:36:42.000 --> 00:36:45.000
He cannot bring a successful accusation or charge against me.

00:36:45.000 --> 00:36:46.000
Why?

00:36:46.000 --> 00:36:50.000
Because it says in Romans 8, 33.

00:36:50.000 --> 00:36:52.000
Romans 8, 33.

00:36:52.000 --> 00:36:58.000
Here's what it says.

00:36:58.000 --> 00:37:02.000
Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen?

00:37:02.000 --> 00:37:07.000
If God is he who justifies, who is he that condemns?

00:37:07.000 --> 00:37:11.000
Listen to it again.

00:37:11.000 --> 00:37:17.000
Who will bring any charge against Jacob who God has chosen?

00:37:17.000 --> 00:37:25.000
If it is God who has justified Jacob, who is he that condemns?

00:37:25.000 --> 00:37:29.000
Not a successful charge for the rest of my life against me.

00:37:29.000 --> 00:37:34.000
Even when it is true, it's taken care of because of what Christ did.

00:37:34.000 --> 00:37:38.000
And then he checks my heart to see, okay Jacob, so what do you want to do about this?

00:37:38.000 --> 00:37:43.000
Very often repentance should be preceded by conversation.

00:37:43.000 --> 00:37:44.000
Write that down.

00:37:44.000 --> 00:37:48.000
Very often repentance should be preceded by conversation.

00:37:48.000 --> 00:37:54.000
When repentance is just confessing your sins, you are slowly beginning to drift into religion again.

00:37:54.000 --> 00:37:59.000
Your madras will come and I can be your Catholic priest for a while.

00:37:59.000 --> 00:38:04.000
Or you go through a series of things that you say and I forgive you.

00:38:04.000 --> 00:38:07.000
Or God forgives you and you just come to me.

00:38:07.000 --> 00:38:11.000
Repentance must be preceded by conversation.

00:38:11.000 --> 00:38:15.000
Talk to God about what you did, why you did it, how you felt.

00:38:15.000 --> 00:38:18.000
Talk to God about how you feel right now.

00:38:18.000 --> 00:38:23.000
If you don't feel sorry about it, talk to God and tell him that you don't feel sorry about it,

00:38:23.000 --> 00:38:28.000
that you need help feeling sorry about what you did because you really don't.

00:38:28.000 --> 00:38:30.000
Go ahead, Dana.

00:38:30.000 --> 00:38:39.000
Very often it should be preceded by conversation.

00:38:39.000 --> 00:38:43.000
When I know that I'm just trying to get rid of my sin,

00:38:43.000 --> 00:38:48.000
every time I try to get rid of my sin, I must realize that I'm not interested in a relationship.

00:38:48.000 --> 00:38:50.000
I'm just interested in getting my slate clean.

00:38:50.000 --> 00:38:53.000
I'm living in the Old Testament.

00:38:53.000 --> 00:38:58.000
David was a man after God's own heart because instead of confessing his sins, he would write a song.

00:38:58.000 --> 00:39:01.000
Psalm 51. It's a result of a relationship.

00:39:01.000 --> 00:39:03.000
It's not a result of confessing of sins.

00:39:03.000 --> 00:39:07.000
There were special prayers for confessing of sins, special rituals you could do for confessing your sins.

00:39:07.000 --> 00:39:12.000
Oh my God, David had this ability to go into the detail of it.

00:39:12.000 --> 00:39:16.000
I can't bear this. My bones are drying up. If I don't speak, it won't work.

00:39:16.000 --> 00:39:18.000
You've got to take care of my inequity. Then he goes,

00:39:18.000 --> 00:39:21.000
Inequity isn't enough. You've got to take care of my transgressions.

00:39:21.000 --> 00:39:23.000
That ain't enough. You've got to take care of my sins.

00:39:23.000 --> 00:39:25.000
That ain't enough. You've got to take care of my unrighteousness.

00:39:25.000 --> 00:39:26.000
Wash me with hyssop.

00:39:26.000 --> 00:39:29.000
If you wash me with hyssop, I'll be clean inside and outside.

00:39:29.000 --> 00:39:31.000
I know you desire truth in the inward parts.

00:39:31.000 --> 00:39:33.000
Can you do something inside me?

00:39:33.000 --> 00:39:35.000
But let me tell you why I want this.

00:39:35.000 --> 00:39:38.000
I want this because I want the joy within me restored.

00:39:38.000 --> 00:39:40.000
Restore to me the joy of your salvation.

00:39:40.000 --> 00:39:42.000
He was hardly interested in sin.

00:39:42.000 --> 00:39:47.000
He was so interested in relationship that God after him doing the things he's done,

00:39:47.000 --> 00:39:49.000
keeps saying, here's a man after my heart.

00:39:51.000 --> 00:39:55.000
You know you're stepping into religion when you find out that you're only interested in getting rid of your sins.

00:39:55.000 --> 00:40:10.000
One of the ways we know repentance is when very often repentance is preceded by conversation.

00:40:15.000 --> 00:40:20.000
Long for this, guys. It's the only thing that's so worth living for.

00:40:20.000 --> 00:40:22.000
And then you become a blessing to others.

00:40:22.000 --> 00:40:28.000
We must transmit relationship, not just proclamation of the gospel.

00:40:28.000 --> 00:40:31.000
Proclamation of the gospel, any herald can announce it.

00:40:31.000 --> 00:40:34.000
Sons convey their father.

00:40:36.000 --> 00:40:39.000
And once the father is conveyed, people will want him.

00:40:44.000 --> 00:40:48.000
Once you convey the father, people will want him.

00:40:49.000 --> 00:40:56.000
You think listening to what I'm saying now, if someone who does not know Jesus hears this, they won't long for it.

00:40:56.000 --> 00:40:59.000
They can shut it down, but they will long for it.

00:40:59.000 --> 00:41:02.000
They can shut it down, but they will long for it.

00:41:02.000 --> 00:41:08.000
If only I could relate this way to the God of the universe who made me, who's waiting for me.

00:41:18.000 --> 00:41:29.000
What are the demonic assignments that have worked against you in the past?

00:41:29.000 --> 00:41:34.000
Let's deal with that now and over the next 15 minutes or so and then we can conclude.

00:41:34.000 --> 00:41:38.000
What are the demonic assignments that have worked against you in the past?

00:41:38.000 --> 00:41:43.000
Because if you look at these characters, they had certain things that they kept making mistakes in.

00:41:43.000 --> 00:41:45.000
Noah, Abraham.

00:41:46.000 --> 00:41:50.000
With Noah, it perhaps was drunkenness.

00:41:52.000 --> 00:41:54.000
With Abraham, it was lying.

00:41:57.000 --> 00:42:00.000
With Moses, it was perhaps his anger.

00:42:03.000 --> 00:42:11.000
With David, it was wrong place, wrong time.

00:42:15.000 --> 00:42:16.000
Lust.

00:42:21.000 --> 00:42:28.000
Where in your life do you see demonic assignments against you having unusual success?

00:42:30.000 --> 00:42:36.000
I've been looking at my life in the areas where Satan seems to have quite a lot of success in tripping me up.

00:42:36.000 --> 00:42:38.000
Those traps seem to work.

00:42:38.000 --> 00:42:47.000
I might have three good weeks and then I end up doing the same thing that I know I should be much smarter at.

00:42:47.000 --> 00:42:49.000
What is it in your life?

00:42:51.000 --> 00:42:55.000
Because what Jesus said in Luke 22, verse 31 or thereabouts applies to you.

00:42:55.000 --> 00:43:02.000
Nick, Nick, Satan has demanded or asked me permission to sift you.

00:43:03.000 --> 00:43:09.000
You think Satan does not want to sift Marcus, Derek, me, Matt, Diana?

00:43:09.000 --> 00:43:13.000
He wants to sift you. He goes ask you for permission.

00:43:13.000 --> 00:43:16.000
And Jesus didn't say, I don't give you permission.

00:43:16.000 --> 00:43:21.000
Jesus said, after you fall, you will rise up and you will be strengthened and you will be a benefit to your brothers.

00:43:21.000 --> 00:43:27.000
What are the areas in your life where he seems to sift and have sufficient success?

00:43:33.000 --> 00:43:42.000
Sometimes Jesus can do it himself where he comes and helps you with it.

00:43:42.000 --> 00:43:51.000
Sometimes Jesus, even though he can do it himself, deliberately has me depend on you to help me with my area of weakness.

00:43:51.000 --> 00:43:57.000
It's a deliberate thing. He can wave a wand if he had a divine wand.

00:43:57.000 --> 00:44:02.000
And all your hair gets restored and everything becomes normal.

00:44:02.000 --> 00:44:05.000
But that is not how it works.

00:44:05.000 --> 00:44:08.000
Sorry, Tony. Bad joke.

00:44:08.000 --> 00:44:12.000
I could have left it alone.

00:44:12.000 --> 00:44:14.000
He could have done it that way.

00:44:14.000 --> 00:44:19.000
But one of the things he does is makes me dependent on you where you need to help me with my area of weakness.

00:44:19.000 --> 00:44:22.000
That's not fun. I would prefer that he deals with it.

00:44:22.000 --> 00:44:25.000
Because now I'll have to go and tell you about it.

00:44:25.000 --> 00:44:32.000
But this is where we come back to what she started with when she said, you cannot do this life that is together alone.

00:44:32.000 --> 00:44:36.000
You cannot. And if you try to, you will not succeed.

00:44:36.000 --> 00:44:38.000
You will not succeed. Why?

00:44:38.000 --> 00:44:43.000
Because Jesus Christ can be pretty stubborn when it comes to certain things he does.

00:44:44.000 --> 00:44:47.000
Is there scripture to back this up? Yeah.

00:44:47.000 --> 00:44:56.000
James, confess your sins to one another so that you may be healed and restored.

00:44:56.000 --> 00:45:01.000
There are more.

00:45:01.000 --> 00:45:04.000
That one comes immediately to mind.

00:45:04.000 --> 00:45:09.000
Here's another area that you and I need to check.

00:45:09.000 --> 00:45:12.000
Where am I blind? Where am I blind?

00:45:12.000 --> 00:45:14.000
How do I know my blindness?

00:45:14.000 --> 00:45:18.000
I know my blindness by recognizing that a certain way of thinking is still there.

00:45:18.000 --> 00:45:20.000
I know that I am blind.

00:45:20.000 --> 00:45:22.000
I know that I am blind.

00:45:22.000 --> 00:45:24.000
I know that I am blind.

00:45:24.000 --> 00:45:26.000
I know that I am blind.

00:45:26.000 --> 00:45:28.000
I know that I am blind.

00:45:28.000 --> 00:45:34.000
I know my blindness by recognizing that a certain way of thinking is still persisting even though I've heard that it is not true.

00:45:34.000 --> 00:45:36.000
I keep thinking that way.

00:45:36.000 --> 00:45:41.000
And how is my thinking made obvious in the way I behave?

00:45:41.000 --> 00:45:44.000
That needs to be drawn.

00:45:44.000 --> 00:45:46.000
Here's how it works, guys.

00:45:46.000 --> 00:45:55.000
See, 2 Corinthians 4.4 is addressing unbelievers, but the scheme is the same for believers or unbelievers.

00:45:55.000 --> 00:46:00.000
In 2 Corinthians 4.4, it says, Satan blinds the minds of unbelievers.

00:46:00.000 --> 00:46:05.000
While it is referring to unbelievers, let me also say to you that Satan tries the same trick with believers,

00:46:05.000 --> 00:46:08.000
which is why believers have strongholds in their lives.

00:46:08.000 --> 00:46:19.000
Strongholds are fortresses, vales, walls, towers, Jeremy, that are so strong that they become a certain pattern of thinking.

00:46:19.000 --> 00:46:23.000
So he blinds.

00:46:23.000 --> 00:46:25.000
He blinds.

00:46:25.000 --> 00:46:28.000
How do you know an area where you're blind?

00:46:28.000 --> 00:46:32.000
You think a certain way.

00:46:32.000 --> 00:46:57.000
You think a certain way even though you've heard it otherwise a hundred times.

00:46:58.000 --> 00:47:02.000
But it's almost like there's a dullness.

00:47:02.000 --> 00:47:04.000
How do you know what you think?

00:47:04.000 --> 00:47:24.000
What you think shows in how you behave.

00:47:24.000 --> 00:47:32.000
This is another method that, this is another thing that I have to try and destroy because of the disruptive glory of God that can help me.

00:47:32.000 --> 00:47:40.000
So I don't take some, just stick in the mud ways that I have that doesn't change even though people have told me otherwise,

00:47:40.000 --> 00:47:46.000
even though the Bible says otherwise, even though I've been taught otherwise, even though you preach to me and tell me otherwise.

00:47:46.000 --> 00:47:51.000
It doesn't change and I've got to change this.

00:47:51.000 --> 00:47:55.000
One of the easiest ways to find this out is Jacob, where are you stuck?

00:47:55.000 --> 00:47:59.000
Why haven't you been able to progress for years on end in some areas?

00:47:59.000 --> 00:48:03.000
Why? Why are you stuck there?

00:48:03.000 --> 00:48:06.000
Examine it yourself.

00:48:06.000 --> 00:48:11.000
There may be many external physical reasons, but why are you stuck?

00:48:11.000 --> 00:48:19.000
Let me assure you, as I look around, and you can look at me, as I look around, most of us are stuck in some area or the other.

00:48:26.000 --> 00:48:30.000
Do you really want to take this into 2022?

00:48:30.000 --> 00:48:33.000
No, man.

00:48:33.000 --> 00:48:38.000
I remember this Turkish guy who gave his life to the Lord and I asked him,

00:48:38.000 --> 00:48:41.000
So what do you feel? And he said, I feel like a bird.

00:48:41.000 --> 00:48:45.000
That's what you should feel like in 2022. I feel like a bird.

00:48:45.000 --> 00:48:49.000
I've also told you about this bird in South Africa. It's like a vulture kind of a bird.

00:48:49.000 --> 00:48:54.000
And so hunters go after these birds and they wait. Why?

00:48:54.000 --> 00:49:01.000
Because these birds are feeding on dead animals and these birds eat more than they should.

00:49:01.000 --> 00:49:03.000
They eat more than they wait.

00:49:03.000 --> 00:49:10.000
And when the hunters come, they flap their wings and they cannot fly because they are so full that they cannot take off.

00:49:10.000 --> 00:49:14.000
Stuck in the mud is exactly that.

00:49:14.000 --> 00:49:22.000
You've eaten so much of the same way of thinking that your stomach is so full that even if you flap your wings, you cannot fly.

00:49:22.000 --> 00:49:25.000
I want to be free of that in some areas of my life.

00:49:25.000 --> 00:49:29.000
I didn't say some one area of my life, some areas of my life.

00:49:29.000 --> 00:49:32.000
I plead with you. Examine it.

00:49:37.000 --> 00:49:40.000
That's when strongholds break. That's when strongholds break.

00:49:40.000 --> 00:49:46.000
That's when you tear down walls and towers in your life, veils.

00:49:46.000 --> 00:49:49.000
2 Corinthians 4 says, Satan blinds our mind.

00:49:49.000 --> 00:49:58.000
2 Corinthians 4 says, but the light of the knowledge of the glory of God comes and breaks it.

00:50:10.000 --> 00:50:17.000
I want to end a few minutes early so we can destroy some of these things.

00:50:19.000 --> 00:50:29.000
Let me end with this last line, which has 6 parts as usual.

00:50:29.000 --> 00:50:39.000
You know, when I'm making these notes, I think that if I can stop before the page ends, it's short.

00:50:39.000 --> 00:50:44.000
So I crowd 6 points into one line and I feel like, oh, it's only one page. This is a short sermon.

00:50:44.000 --> 00:50:47.000
But then when I come here and speak, the one page goes on forever, man.

00:50:47.000 --> 00:50:50.000
And trust me, I'm only here right now.

00:50:50.000 --> 00:50:55.000
But don't worry, we'll stop here and the rest we can do another time.

00:50:55.000 --> 00:50:58.000
The another time never happens, still about 6 months later.

00:50:58.000 --> 00:51:02.000
But it is what it is. These are stuck in the mud things.

00:51:08.000 --> 00:51:11.000
When it comes to certain demonic assignments against you,

00:51:11.000 --> 00:51:13.000
and so what do you mean by demonic assignments?

00:51:13.000 --> 00:51:17.000
I'm saying that Satan knows patterns in your life and my life.

00:51:17.000 --> 00:51:21.000
Some of them are based on the culture we come from, the traditions we come from,

00:51:21.000 --> 00:51:25.000
the background we come from, the environment we grew up in,

00:51:25.000 --> 00:51:29.000
the problems we are dealing with, our physical situations.

00:51:29.000 --> 00:51:36.000
And he uses these to keep assailing us with it so that we don't make progress quickly,

00:51:36.000 --> 00:51:39.000
so that it takes forever to get anywhere.

00:51:39.000 --> 00:51:42.000
And we have valid excuses, valid reasons.

00:51:42.000 --> 00:51:47.000
And remember, I'm saying valid for saying, but this is my situation.

00:51:47.000 --> 00:51:50.000
But these are demonic assignments.

00:51:50.000 --> 00:51:56.000
And in a church like this, demonic assignments are not abnormal,

00:51:56.000 --> 00:52:02.000
because if this church can be slowed down, the world can be less affected.

00:52:02.000 --> 00:52:05.000
I say that with absolute modesty.

00:52:10.000 --> 00:52:14.000
So when it comes to these demonic assignments, here are some things you should do.

00:52:14.000 --> 00:52:22.000
One, expose them. And by expose them, as in call them, name them.

00:52:22.000 --> 00:52:26.000
Call them, name them, confess them.

00:52:26.000 --> 00:52:28.000
As in these are the things that are happening.

00:52:28.000 --> 00:52:31.000
You keep a demonic assignment in secret within your heart.

00:52:31.000 --> 00:52:34.000
I assure you its roots will continue growing.

00:52:34.000 --> 00:52:37.000
Guaranteed. It's biblical.

00:52:39.000 --> 00:52:42.000
The light must shine there.

00:52:42.000 --> 00:52:47.000
Second, resist them. Resist it.

00:52:47.000 --> 00:52:52.000
Resist it. Resist it with hate. Resist it with hate.

00:52:54.000 --> 00:52:59.000
You know, this morning I was thinking of a certain area in my life where

00:52:59.000 --> 00:53:08.000
for the last 38 years, see I remember the 38 years the devils always tried to

00:53:08.000 --> 00:53:11.000
trap me in this sin.

00:53:13.000 --> 00:53:17.000
And I was thinking of it this morning and I, immediately my mind flipped to

00:53:17.000 --> 00:53:25.000
a man at the Pool of Bethesda who for 38 years had lay there.

00:53:25.000 --> 00:53:27.000
And there was nobody to help him.

00:53:27.000 --> 00:53:30.000
I began reading the scripture from John chapter 5.

00:53:30.000 --> 00:53:34.000
I was telling the Lord this morning that today will be the last day of my life

00:53:34.000 --> 00:53:36.000
that this trick will ever work against me.

00:53:36.000 --> 00:53:39.000
I will never be discouraged by it. I will never be trapped by it.

00:53:39.000 --> 00:53:41.000
I will never succumb to it. I will never bend to it.

00:53:41.000 --> 00:53:45.000
Because I know that you are asking me today, do you want to be healed?

00:53:45.000 --> 00:53:49.000
And my response is, yes.

00:53:50.000 --> 00:53:55.000
And I have the simple faith to believe that God will take care of it again from here on.

00:53:58.000 --> 00:54:00.000
What is it in your life?

00:54:01.000 --> 00:54:04.000
The older you are, the more you can claim things like 38 years.

00:54:04.000 --> 00:54:06.000
Some of you can't claim 24 years.

00:54:10.000 --> 00:54:13.000
Can you imagine 38 years is 14 years away for you?

00:54:17.000 --> 00:54:19.000
Resist. Pardon?

00:54:25.000 --> 00:54:27.000
Resist. Resist evil.

00:54:28.000 --> 00:54:29.000
That these assignments.

00:54:30.000 --> 00:54:35.000
Third, in some cases it might be situations where you are trapped in a situation

00:54:35.000 --> 00:54:41.000
not because of your own doing, but because of your environment, your surrounding, your present condition.

00:54:42.000 --> 00:54:44.000
Endure. But endure in a way that resists.

00:54:45.000 --> 00:54:52.000
Endure in a way that is not succumbing, but able to rise up and sing, O barren woman.

00:54:52.000 --> 00:54:55.000
It's that kind of enduring. Endure.

00:54:55.000 --> 00:54:59.000
Endure. Sometimes certain things that happen to you are not your fault.

00:54:59.000 --> 00:55:02.000
But it is pressing on you. It is trying to crush you.

00:55:02.000 --> 00:55:06.000
Endure. And one of the ways you endure is to go to Isaiah 58.

00:55:06.000 --> 00:55:08.000
And you must sing if you want to endure.

00:55:08.000 --> 00:55:11.000
You must sing if you want to endure.

00:55:14.000 --> 00:55:17.000
That sounds like a very simple thing. Oh, just sing and you'll be fine.

00:55:17.000 --> 00:55:21.000
No, not really. What I'm trying to say is read Isaiah 58 and you'll get an idea of it.

00:55:22.000 --> 00:55:23.000
Fourth, escape.

00:55:25.000 --> 00:55:32.000
As in, change your situation. Escape. Change your situation. Get out of it.

00:55:33.000 --> 00:55:39.000
It'll mean relocating. It'll mean changing things, changing your job, changing situations.

00:55:39.000 --> 00:55:43.000
Some evil things will continue till I actually escape.

00:55:48.000 --> 00:55:52.000
Next one, hate. Hate what is happening to you.

00:55:56.000 --> 00:56:02.000
I was telling my brother-in-law yesterday that he was talking about this right arm of mine that keeps freezing up.

00:56:02.000 --> 00:56:06.000
And so I can lift it this way, but I can't lift it this way.

00:56:06.000 --> 00:56:09.000
It begins to ache here. And it's a frozen shoulder.

00:56:09.000 --> 00:56:12.000
And some days it's fine, some days it doesn't.

00:56:12.000 --> 00:56:15.000
But one of the things I hate is that I'm learning how to live with it.

00:56:15.000 --> 00:56:18.000
And I hate that I'm learning how to live with it.

00:56:19.000 --> 00:56:23.000
You must hate something so much that you begin to say,

00:56:23.000 --> 00:56:26.000
Now, this won't do. It must go up like this.

00:56:27.000 --> 00:56:28.000
Hate it.

00:56:29.000 --> 00:56:32.000
Like I said before, if you don't hate it, you will tolerate it.

00:56:35.000 --> 00:56:40.000
And then the last one is overcome.

00:56:41.000 --> 00:56:42.000
Overcome.

00:56:44.000 --> 00:56:48.000
As in, sometimes evil with good.

00:56:50.000 --> 00:56:52.000
Sometimes evil with weaponry.

00:56:53.000 --> 00:56:55.000
Which we have talked about in the past,

00:56:55.000 --> 00:57:01.000
where you use what God has given you to combat that which happens or comes against you.

00:57:07.000 --> 00:57:10.000
Evil with good, evil with weaponry.

00:57:14.000 --> 00:57:16.000
We'll stop there.

00:57:16.000 --> 00:57:20.000
We've got to get into this new year as a people who will be a benefit to others.

00:57:20.000 --> 00:57:23.000
I've got to go into the next year with less of this.

00:57:23.000 --> 00:57:25.000
So that...

00:57:25.000 --> 00:57:27.000
Any questions?

00:57:29.000 --> 00:57:31.000
Any questions, guys?

00:57:35.000 --> 00:57:37.000
Sorry, say that again.

00:57:39.000 --> 00:57:41.000
I can't hear you. You might have to pull up your mic.

00:57:41.000 --> 00:57:43.000
Sometimes promises that have been given to me.

00:57:43.000 --> 00:57:45.000
Sometimes promises from the word.

00:57:45.000 --> 00:57:49.000
Sometimes truth that opposes a lie.

00:57:49.000 --> 00:57:54.000
Sometimes the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed and that Satan is fearful of.

00:57:54.000 --> 00:57:59.000
Sometimes the name of Jesus Christ that makes him so fearful that the hair on the back of his neck stands.

00:57:59.000 --> 00:58:03.000
Sometimes the word of God used as a sword to...

00:58:03.000 --> 00:58:06.000
To cut off the hair on the back of his neck.

00:58:06.000 --> 00:58:11.000
Sometimes the word of God used as a sword to cut down things.

00:58:11.000 --> 00:58:13.000
Sometimes prayer.

00:58:15.000 --> 00:58:19.000
There's such an amazing array of weapons that I can use.

00:58:19.000 --> 00:58:23.000
And we talked about this when we talked about the prevailing church.

00:58:25.000 --> 00:58:27.000
Any other questions?

00:58:27.000 --> 00:58:36.000
Okay, so one of the things I want us to have end in our lives is any torment that comes in the form of...

00:58:39.000 --> 00:58:41.000
Certain ways of thinking.

00:58:41.000 --> 00:58:43.000
Be it...

00:58:43.000 --> 00:58:45.000
Like what she said earlier that...

00:58:45.000 --> 00:58:50.000
I want to be independent. I want to be alone. I can handle my own problems by myself.

00:58:50.000 --> 00:58:54.000
Or certain forms of torment which are not so much about the way I think.

00:58:54.000 --> 00:59:00.000
Or certain forms of torment where you go into your own form of sadness or...

00:59:00.000 --> 00:59:04.000
Some form of being depressed or sad or alone.

00:59:04.000 --> 00:59:12.000
Ways of shame and guilt that crop up because of something you did that keeps being brought up again and again.

00:59:12.000 --> 00:59:17.000
An inability to sleep at night because of tormenting spirits that bring back thoughts.

00:59:18.000 --> 00:59:24.000
Past thoughts of doing yourself harm or taking your life that keep coming up.

00:59:24.000 --> 00:59:31.000
Conditions of shame that have sunk so deep into my soul that the enemy now begins to use it against me.

00:59:31.000 --> 00:59:34.000
Tormenting spirits.

00:59:34.000 --> 00:59:40.000
That is one thing Jesus wants us to say to him, come deal with it today.

00:59:40.000 --> 00:59:45.000
So how do I best define torment? And we'll sing this song, I speak Jesus.

00:59:45.000 --> 00:59:48.000
And you don't necessarily have to sing it.

00:59:48.000 --> 00:59:51.000
Just listen to the words and as the words are being sung, receive your healing.

00:59:51.000 --> 00:59:56.000
Because I really believe something will transpire over the next 10 minutes in this area.

01:00:01.000 --> 01:00:04.000
The best way to describe torment is...

01:00:04.000 --> 01:00:07.000
It's obviously not from God. God doesn't torment.

01:00:07.000 --> 01:00:17.000
It is something from my present or past or some fear from my present or past or future.

01:00:17.000 --> 01:00:29.000
That is being used to hobble me, cripple me, hamstring me, slow me down, separate me from God, doubt him, be suspicious of him.

01:00:29.000 --> 01:00:32.000
It's constantly being used.

01:00:32.000 --> 01:00:38.000
Where I can't trust, where I can't sleep, where it keeps coming back up, where it resurfaces.

01:00:38.000 --> 01:00:47.000
It's like a huge shovel being sent right into the bottom of the ocean where things are buried and digging it up so that it churns up murkyly to the surface.

01:00:47.000 --> 01:00:50.000
And I'm caught in the muddiness of it again.

01:00:50.000 --> 01:00:52.000
I want it to be there.

01:00:52.000 --> 01:00:55.000
I'm going to ask Jane to come up.

01:01:02.000 --> 01:01:05.000
Try not to sing it the first time around.

01:01:05.000 --> 01:01:07.000
Free yourself from it.

01:01:07.000 --> 01:01:10.000
It's a very hard thing to do.

01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:12.000
But you can do it.

01:01:12.000 --> 01:01:14.000
You can sing it.

01:01:14.000 --> 01:01:16.000
You can sing it.

01:01:16.000 --> 01:01:18.000
You can sing it.

01:01:18.000 --> 01:01:20.000
You can sing it.

01:01:20.000 --> 01:01:22.000
Don't free yourself from it.

01:01:22.000 --> 01:01:26.000
And if you are not someone who is affected by it, free someone else from it.

01:01:26.000 --> 01:01:28.000
Torment can lead to habits.

01:01:28.000 --> 01:01:31.000
Torment is medicated by habits.

01:01:31.000 --> 01:01:34.000
Torment is medicated by habits.

01:01:34.000 --> 01:01:36.000
Torment is medicated by habits.

01:01:36.000 --> 01:01:49.000
Habits from watching porn to getting drunk to taking some form of thing that will make you feel better, indulging in things.

01:01:49.000 --> 01:01:52.000
Just to take away the pain of torment.

01:02:02.000 --> 01:02:04.000
Obviously my words are not going to remove this.

01:02:04.000 --> 01:02:06.000
Jesus is going to remove this.

01:02:06.000 --> 01:02:14.000
And I'm just saying to you in a very non-dramatic, non-sensational fashion that Jesus wants to do it for us today.

01:02:14.000 --> 01:02:18.000
And if it isn't something that you are struggling with, think of someone else who is struggling with it.

01:02:18.000 --> 01:02:20.000
And receive it for them.

01:02:20.000 --> 01:02:24.000
But know that this is sheer work of the Spirit.

01:02:24.000 --> 01:02:28.000
And I want to make it so non-dramatic that it will have to be the Holy Spirit.

01:02:28.000 --> 01:02:30.000
And no ra-ra.

01:02:34.000 --> 01:02:40.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:02:40.000 --> 01:02:46.000
Over every heart and every mind.

01:02:48.000 --> 01:02:53.000
Because I know there is peace within your presence.

01:02:53.000 --> 01:02:57.000
I speak Jesus.

01:03:02.000 --> 01:03:07.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:03:08.000 --> 01:03:13.000
So every dark addiction starts to break.

01:03:13.000 --> 01:03:15.000
Can you put up the words please?

01:03:15.000 --> 01:03:20.000
Declaring there is hope and there is freedom.

01:03:20.000 --> 01:03:24.000
I speak Jesus.

01:03:25.000 --> 01:03:27.000
I'll go back to the beginning.

01:03:28.000 --> 01:03:33.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:03:34.000 --> 01:03:37.000
Once you've surrendered it to Him, feel free to sing.

01:03:37.000 --> 01:03:40.000
Over every heart and every mind.

01:03:40.000 --> 01:03:42.000
Whatever torments you.

01:03:42.000 --> 01:03:47.000
Because I know there is peace within your presence.

01:03:47.000 --> 01:03:51.000
I speak Jesus.

01:03:55.000 --> 01:04:01.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:04:02.000 --> 01:04:07.000
So every dark addiction starts to break.

01:04:08.000 --> 01:04:13.000
Declaring there is hope and there is freedom.

01:04:13.000 --> 01:04:19.000
I speak Jesus.

01:04:20.000 --> 01:04:23.000
Your name is power.

01:04:23.000 --> 01:04:27.000
Your name is healing.

01:04:27.000 --> 01:04:32.000
Your name is light.

01:04:33.000 --> 01:04:34.000
Hallelujah!

01:04:34.000 --> 01:04:40.000
Breaks every stronghold and shines through the darkness.

01:04:40.000 --> 01:04:46.000
It burns like a fire.

01:04:48.000 --> 01:04:54.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:04:55.000 --> 01:04:59.000
Over fear and all anxiety.

01:04:59.000 --> 01:05:02.000
Thank you Father for your presence right now.

01:05:02.000 --> 01:05:07.000
Every soul held captive by depression.

01:05:07.000 --> 01:05:10.000
I speak Jesus.

01:05:10.000 --> 01:05:12.000
One more time.

01:05:13.000 --> 01:05:16.000
Jesus I thank you for setting us free.

01:05:19.000 --> 01:05:20.000
Sing that one again?

01:05:20.000 --> 01:05:21.000
Yeah.

01:05:21.000 --> 01:05:27.000
I just want to speak the name of Jesus.

01:05:27.000 --> 01:05:32.000
Over fear and all anxiety.

01:05:34.000 --> 01:05:39.000
Every soul held captive by depression.

01:05:39.000 --> 01:05:44.000
I speak Jesus.

01:05:44.000 --> 01:05:49.000
Your name is power.

01:05:49.000 --> 01:05:53.000
Your name is healing.

01:05:53.000 --> 01:05:58.000
Your name is light.

01:05:59.000 --> 01:06:06.000
It breaks every stronghold and shines through the shadows.

01:06:06.000 --> 01:06:10.000
It burns like a fire.

01:06:10.000 --> 01:06:12.000
Your name is power.

01:06:13.000 --> 01:06:16.000
Your name is power.

01:06:16.000 --> 01:06:20.000
Your name is healing.

01:06:20.000 --> 01:06:25.000
Your name is light.

01:06:26.000 --> 01:06:33.000
It breaks every stronghold and shines through the shadows.

01:06:33.000 --> 01:06:38.000
It burns like a fire.

01:06:39.000 --> 01:06:41.000
Shout Jesus.

01:06:41.000 --> 01:06:44.000
Jesus from the mountains.

01:06:44.000 --> 01:06:48.000
Jesus from the streets.

01:06:48.000 --> 01:06:54.000
Jesus in the darkness over every enemy.

01:06:54.000 --> 01:07:04.000
Jesus for my family I speak the holy name of Jesus.

01:07:04.000 --> 01:07:06.000
One more time.

01:07:08.000 --> 01:07:11.000
Shout Jesus from the mountains.

01:07:11.000 --> 01:07:14.000
Jesus in the streets.

01:07:14.000 --> 01:07:20.000
Jesus in the darkness over every enemy.

01:07:20.000 --> 01:07:31.000
Jesus for my family I speak the holy name of Jesus.

01:07:33.000 --> 01:07:36.000
Your name is power.

01:07:36.000 --> 01:07:40.000
Your name is healing.

01:07:40.000 --> 01:07:45.000
Your name is light.

01:07:47.000 --> 01:07:54.000
It breaks every stronghold and shines through the darkness.

01:07:54.000 --> 01:08:00.000
It burns like a fire.

01:08:00.000 --> 01:08:03.000
Your name is power.

01:08:03.000 --> 01:08:07.000
Your name is healing.

01:08:07.000 --> 01:08:12.000
Your name is light.

01:08:14.000 --> 01:08:21.000
It breaks every stronghold and shines through the shadows.

01:08:21.000 --> 01:08:26.000
It burns like a fire.

01:08:28.000 --> 01:08:31.000
Father, we bless whoever wrote this song.

01:08:32.000 --> 01:08:36.000
I mean now we speak the name of Jesus over our lives.

01:08:36.000 --> 01:08:39.000
Together we voice it right now.

01:08:39.000 --> 01:08:41.000
We speak the name of Jesus.
