00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:09.400
Music

00:00:09.400 --> 00:00:13.520
Alright, so we continue with Co-Strength Joy.

00:00:13.520 --> 00:00:19.980
If you go to Psalm 45 verse 7,

00:00:19.980 --> 00:00:23.860
Mae is not here because she is in New York,

00:00:23.860 --> 00:00:26.960
Sue is not here because I think she is in Victoria.

00:00:26.960 --> 00:00:30.160
Both are attending some meetings they had to go for.

00:00:33.660 --> 00:00:38.000
Yeah, so Psalm 45 verse 7, it says,

00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:44.240
you have, where did my notes disappear?

00:00:44.240 --> 00:00:46.240
It should have been a very short sermon.

00:00:47.380 --> 00:00:50.080
Too bad, you guys didn't.

00:00:50.980 --> 00:00:52.580
Okay, Psalm 45, 7.

00:00:53.520 --> 00:00:56.320
Here's what it says, you love what is right,

00:00:56.960 --> 00:01:05.960
and you hate what is evil.

00:01:05.960 --> 00:01:12.240
Now what happens when you love what is right and you hate what is evil?

00:01:12.240 --> 00:01:21.680
Here's what happens, so God has anointed you,

00:01:22.680 --> 00:01:30.680
so God has anointed you with the oil of joy

00:01:35.680 --> 00:01:42.680
and set you above your companions.

00:01:42.680 --> 00:01:49.680
Yeah, so here's the condition, therefore or so,

00:01:49.680 --> 00:01:54.680
if you want to be anointed with the oil of joy,

00:01:54.680 --> 00:02:00.680
here's the catch, you love.

00:02:00.680 --> 00:02:05.680
It's not you must do what is right,

00:02:06.680 --> 00:02:09.680
because that's how sometimes Christianity ends up,

00:02:09.680 --> 00:02:12.680
we end up doing what is right,

00:02:12.680 --> 00:02:16.680
but there's something else before that, you must love,

00:02:16.680 --> 00:02:21.680
you must love what is right.

00:02:21.680 --> 00:02:25.680
Therein lies the catch, if you get that,

00:02:25.680 --> 00:02:31.680
joy, and you love what is right,

00:02:31.680 --> 00:02:41.680
if you get that, joy is a heaven sent outcome,

00:02:41.680 --> 00:02:48.680
and it says it's the oil of joy and that it's an anointing,

00:02:48.680 --> 00:03:02.680
as in the Spirit of God smothers you and floods you,

00:03:02.680 --> 00:03:12.680
smothers you outside, smothers you outside,

00:03:16.680 --> 00:03:20.680
and floods you inside.

00:03:20.680 --> 00:03:23.680
Any questions before we go on?

00:03:23.680 --> 00:03:28.680
It's crazy, it's like a key, eh?

00:03:28.680 --> 00:03:32.680
Any questions?

00:03:32.680 --> 00:03:35.680
Psalm 45, verse 7, it's very straightforward,

00:03:35.680 --> 00:03:38.680
if you love what is right and you hate what is evil,

00:03:38.680 --> 00:03:42.680
so your God has placed you above your companions,

00:03:42.680 --> 00:03:46.680
he has filled you with joy by pouring on you the sacred,

00:03:46.680 --> 00:03:50.680
pouring the sacred oil on your head, love what is right.

00:03:50.680 --> 00:03:53.680
So we talked about this earlier,

00:03:53.680 --> 00:04:01.680
doing is always the fruit,

00:04:01.680 --> 00:04:06.680
love or loving is the root,

00:04:06.680 --> 00:04:15.680
and joy is the lifeblood.

00:04:15.680 --> 00:04:17.680
Can't change this, say you change this,

00:04:17.680 --> 00:04:20.680
and Christianity becomes every other religion,

00:04:20.680 --> 00:04:23.680
because almost every other religion you can imagine

00:04:23.680 --> 00:04:27.680
just has one simple principle, do.

00:04:27.680 --> 00:04:30.680
Do for different reasons, do to appease God,

00:04:30.680 --> 00:04:35.680
do to prevent trouble, do because he'll keep you safe,

00:04:35.680 --> 00:04:38.680
do because he'll be happy, so it's always doing,

00:04:38.680 --> 00:04:42.680
and so was Judaism, the Old Testament was basically doing,

00:04:42.680 --> 00:04:46.680
it was live righteous lives by following the law,

00:04:46.680 --> 00:04:49.680
so doing is always the fruit, loving is the root,

00:04:49.680 --> 00:04:52.680
joy is the lifeblood, and this applies to any relationship,

00:04:52.680 --> 00:04:57.680
any relationship, any relationship this is the key.

00:04:57.680 --> 00:05:02.680
Husband, wife, lovers, father, son, father, daughter,

00:05:02.680 --> 00:05:07.680
this lies at the root of it.

00:05:07.680 --> 00:05:15.680
Love is the root, it all has to stem from there,

00:05:15.680 --> 00:05:20.680
and when it doesn't, that's when our Christian lives

00:05:20.680 --> 00:05:28.680
or our Christian practice and religion eventually deteriorates

00:05:28.680 --> 00:05:34.680
into tradition, boredom, and fear,

00:05:34.680 --> 00:05:42.680
because you can live righteous, you can live righteous,

00:05:42.680 --> 00:05:56.680
you can live righteous lives without loving righteousness,

00:05:56.680 --> 00:06:06.680
and when that happens, gladness or joy is absent,

00:06:06.680 --> 00:06:09.680
and therefore Christianity turns into something

00:06:09.680 --> 00:06:13.680
that eventually is a duty in that area or a tradition

00:06:13.680 --> 00:06:16.680
in that area that you do not have joy,

00:06:16.680 --> 00:06:21.680
and eventually leads to fear, boredom,

00:06:21.680 --> 00:06:24.680
and once it gets to boredom, then a whole series

00:06:24.680 --> 00:06:26.680
of other things start which we'll talk about.

00:06:26.680 --> 00:06:28.680
So it is possible to live a righteous life

00:06:28.680 --> 00:06:31.680
without loving righteousness, and if you go to Micah

00:06:31.680 --> 00:06:35.680
chapter 6 verse 8, it says, how should one walk before God,

00:06:35.680 --> 00:06:38.680
and then he gives you three options, he says,

00:06:38.680 --> 00:06:41.680
not three options, he gives you three requisites

00:06:41.680 --> 00:06:44.680
for righteous living, and he says, act justly,

00:06:44.680 --> 00:06:48.680
walk humbly, love mercy, those are the three things

00:06:48.680 --> 00:06:50.680
that are in Micah 6, 8, strangely enough,

00:06:50.680 --> 00:06:54.680
it doesn't say show mercy, it says love mercy,

00:06:54.680 --> 00:06:56.680
that's another thing we get caught in,

00:06:56.680 --> 00:06:59.680
we show mercy, but do you love mercy,

00:06:59.680 --> 00:07:04.680
we show, we act justly, but do you love justice,

00:07:04.680 --> 00:07:10.680
it changes everything once you love that nature of God,

00:07:10.680 --> 00:07:13.680
but till I love that nature of God, all I'm doing

00:07:13.680 --> 00:07:18.680
is a revamped version of the Old Testament with grace in it,

00:07:18.680 --> 00:07:24.680
to love mercy is to have a tender hearted compassion

00:07:24.680 --> 00:07:28.680
for those that are continuously failing or doing you wrong,

00:07:28.680 --> 00:07:31.680
do you love that, or do you show that,

00:07:35.680 --> 00:07:38.680
it doesn't say show mercy, it says love mercy,

00:07:38.680 --> 00:07:41.680
and when I act justly, do I love justice,

00:07:41.680 --> 00:07:45.680
you can see the difference between people who love justice

00:07:45.680 --> 00:07:47.680
and who act justly.

00:07:52.680 --> 00:08:00.680
So, one of the ways to step into and be sustained in joy,

00:08:00.680 --> 00:08:03.680
and remember we said this, that at the end of the day,

00:08:03.680 --> 00:08:07.680
why is joy so important, it is because there's the ultimate purpose

00:08:07.680 --> 00:08:13.680
of God in all his works is joy, this is unthinkable for us,

00:08:13.680 --> 00:08:16.680
we don't even think like this, the ultimate purpose of God

00:08:16.680 --> 00:08:23.680
in all his works is joy, in everything he wants you to be,

00:08:23.680 --> 00:08:27.680
the message puts it this way, I have more joy than those

00:08:27.680 --> 00:08:31.680
that go to malls for a shopping spree, my mouth is so full of joy

00:08:31.680 --> 00:08:35.680
that the best of marrow could not help me get more joyful,

00:08:35.680 --> 00:08:38.680
and he's talking about joy and happiness together,

00:08:38.680 --> 00:08:40.680
it's not even some kind of spiritual joy,

00:08:40.680 --> 00:08:43.680
he's talking about being rich in joy like marrow,

00:08:45.680 --> 00:08:52.680
because God is the most joyous being that exists,

00:08:52.680 --> 00:08:55.680
in him is only joy, he had to come as a man of sorrows

00:08:55.680 --> 00:08:59.680
to take away sorrow so that he could replace it with joy.

00:09:01.680 --> 00:09:07.680
We spoke about scripture from Matthew that the reward for faithfulness is what?

00:09:07.680 --> 00:09:12.680
The wealth and good and faithful servant enter into my joy,

00:09:12.680 --> 00:09:16.680
enter into my joy, that's the reward, what is heaven like,

00:09:16.680 --> 00:09:21.680
what was Eden like, Eden, what's the meaning of Eden, delight or pleasure,

00:09:21.680 --> 00:09:24.680
what are we heading back to, delight and pleasure,

00:09:24.680 --> 00:09:27.680
where there is no mourning, there is no tear, there is no fear,

00:09:27.680 --> 00:09:34.680
there is no sadness, therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return

00:09:34.680 --> 00:09:37.680
and come to Zion and what shall be upon their head,

00:09:37.680 --> 00:09:41.680
everlasting joy shall be upon their head, where is Zion,

00:09:41.680 --> 00:09:46.680
Zion is both a people and a place, we are Zion and there is a place that awaits us,

00:09:46.680 --> 00:09:49.680
yes there will be sadness in this world,

00:09:49.680 --> 00:09:57.680
but in the middle of that can a people show that they belong to a God who is only joyful,

00:09:58.680 --> 00:10:02.680
when Jesus was born what did the angels sing,

00:10:02.680 --> 00:10:06.680
behold we bring you good news of great joy,

00:10:07.680 --> 00:10:12.680
Nehemiah 8, what is your strength church, your strength is?

00:10:13.680 --> 00:10:18.680
Joy, the strength, the joy of the Lord is your strength,

00:10:18.680 --> 00:10:22.680
what are three key ingredients of being people of the kingdom,

00:10:24.680 --> 00:10:30.680
the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating or drinking but is a matter of righteousness,

00:10:30.680 --> 00:10:37.680
peace and joy, that's why you've righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,

00:10:37.680 --> 00:10:40.680
that's why it talks about the oil of gladness,

00:10:40.680 --> 00:10:46.680
you pour upon someone oil and it's an anointing, the anointing comes from the Holy Spirit

00:10:46.680 --> 00:10:50.680
and he yearns for this, he yearns to do this for us,

00:10:51.680 --> 00:10:56.680
but he wants us to love what he's trying to impart to us from the nature of God,

00:10:56.680 --> 00:10:59.680
he doesn't want you to have it because it is a fruit of the Spirit,

00:10:59.680 --> 00:11:03.680
he wants you to have it because you're deeply in love with Jesus,

00:11:03.680 --> 00:11:11.680
and therefore because the root is loving Jesus, the fruit of joy shows, the fruit of gentleness shows,

00:11:12.680 --> 00:11:17.680
we've got to take this back to the simplicity of I'm in love with someone,

00:11:18.680 --> 00:11:25.680
because it is possible to live a righteous life without absolutely being in love with the righteous one,

00:11:26.680 --> 00:11:30.680
it's absolutely possible, any questions?

00:11:31.680 --> 00:11:38.680
It sounds impractical, sounds unreachable because we've been accustomed to not being that way,

00:11:38.680 --> 00:11:48.680
and we'll go there, or it's not a daily minute by minute way of living, questions?

00:11:56.680 --> 00:11:58.680
Any questions?

00:11:59.680 --> 00:12:04.680
So when you, if you go down this road here, what usually happens,

00:12:04.680 --> 00:12:09.680
you can live righteous lives without loving righteousness or the righteous one,

00:12:12.680 --> 00:12:13.680
meaning Christ,

00:12:16.680 --> 00:12:22.680
and if gladness or joy is absent, duty, tradition, fear and boredom, replace it eventually,

00:12:22.680 --> 00:12:27.680
I'm talking about not your entire life, in whatever area, I mean long ago when I didn't know much,

00:12:27.680 --> 00:12:32.680
I came up with this principle that I've tried to live by, and it was very simple,

00:12:32.680 --> 00:12:38.680
I will not do anything for God if it is not from a place of I like you, therefore I will.

00:12:39.680 --> 00:12:44.680
Ages ago, 30 years ago, I decided I will not do it unless I like you,

00:12:46.680 --> 00:12:50.680
I didn't want to do anything Christian except because I liked him,

00:12:53.680 --> 00:12:59.680
so be it singing a song or raising my arms or speaking or teaching or sitting with somebody,

00:12:59.680 --> 00:13:04.680
doesn't matter what activity or what display of God's character it was,

00:13:04.680 --> 00:13:09.680
it had to come from one place only, I like him therefore I will,

00:13:09.680 --> 00:13:17.680
because you must understand that God knows every time I do something, not out of willingness but out of obedience,

00:13:18.680 --> 00:13:25.680
and in Isaiah chapter 1 it says that you shall eat the good of the land when you are both willing and obedient,

00:13:29.680 --> 00:13:36.680
can you imagine Jesus coming to die for us because he was obedient and not willing,

00:13:38.680 --> 00:13:40.680
but he had to obey his father,

00:13:42.680 --> 00:13:46.680
you wouldn't have Hebrews 12 too for the joy that was set before him,

00:13:47.680 --> 00:13:49.680
because why? Joy is the life blood.

00:13:58.680 --> 00:14:02.680
So when that is absent, duty, tradition, fear and boredom,

00:14:02.680 --> 00:14:06.680
boredom is the worst day in Christianity when you are just bored of living this Christian life,

00:14:06.680 --> 00:14:12.680
and pretty bored of God also, even though he is the most attractive personality in the universe,

00:14:13.680 --> 00:14:21.680
when that happens you begin to ignore the Holy Spirit habitually,

00:14:25.680 --> 00:14:29.680
there is disobeying the Holy Spirit, there is grieving the Holy Spirit,

00:14:29.680 --> 00:14:36.680
but this thing is poison, this thing is real poison, it's like fertilizer that kills things,

00:14:37.680 --> 00:14:40.680
ignore the Holy Spirit habitually,

00:14:41.680 --> 00:14:45.680
where in certain areas of my life I begin to ignore him habitually,

00:14:45.680 --> 00:14:47.680
it becomes a habit to ignore him,

00:14:47.680 --> 00:14:49.680
and when you ignore him habitually three things happen,

00:14:49.680 --> 00:14:57.680
your conscience is seared, your mind is dulled and your heart is hardened,

00:14:58.680 --> 00:15:00.680
your conscience is seared,

00:15:01.680 --> 00:15:06.680
these are all biblical terms, Ephesians 4, 17, 18 and I think 19 talk about it,

00:15:06.680 --> 00:15:12.680
your conscience is seared, your mind is dulled and your heart is hardened,

00:15:12.680 --> 00:15:15.680
those are the three things that happen when I ignore him habitually,

00:15:16.680 --> 00:15:20.680
you know what habitually means, it's when you've created a habit of it,

00:15:20.680 --> 00:15:24.680
of ignoring him for different reasons, maybe it's difficult, maybe you were ignorant,

00:15:24.680 --> 00:15:28.680
maybe it's just sheer disobedience, maybe it's inconvenient,

00:15:30.680 --> 00:15:32.680
and you begin to ignore him habitually,

00:15:32.680 --> 00:15:36.680
and so when that happens, three things happen,

00:15:36.680 --> 00:15:43.680
one, your conscience is seared, Ephesians 4, 17, 18 and maybe 19,

00:15:43.680 --> 00:15:45.680
your conscience is seared,

00:15:49.680 --> 00:15:57.680
your mind is dulled and your heart is hardened,

00:15:58.680 --> 00:16:01.680
what do you mean conscience is seared?

00:16:01.680 --> 00:16:05.680
Conscience is seared is when it doesn't bother you anymore,

00:16:05.680 --> 00:16:11.680
this is terrible, I think we all have areas like this in our lives, at least I do,

00:16:11.680 --> 00:16:17.680
where when the conscience is seared, what happens is in certain areas,

00:16:17.680 --> 00:16:21.680
when you do what is wrong, it does not bother you anymore,

00:16:21.680 --> 00:16:26.680
it doesn't bother you, there are certain areas where if you do wrong, you feel terrible,

00:16:26.680 --> 00:16:31.680
as soon as you do it, you want to go and say, oh shucks, Lord, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do it,

00:16:31.680 --> 00:16:36.680
there's grief, there's hurt, there's, ah shucks, I messed up again,

00:16:36.680 --> 00:16:41.680
there's that kind of a feeling, and then there are areas in my life where,

00:16:41.680 --> 00:16:45.680
I've done it so many times now that it doesn't prick me,

00:16:45.680 --> 00:16:49.680
I can go pray for it later and ask the Lord to forgive me and all that stuff,

00:16:49.680 --> 00:16:57.680
but in that area, the conscience no longer is so sensitive that it just shrinks every time I do it,

00:16:58.680 --> 00:17:07.680
and the heart gets hardened, sclerosis, where the heart is okay with it,

00:17:07.680 --> 00:17:12.680
it doesn't bother it so much, and the mind gets dull or darkened,

00:17:12.680 --> 00:17:16.680
it lives under the shadow of that thing that I'm doing over and over again,

00:17:16.680 --> 00:17:21.680
thank God for solutions for all this, one of the things God loved doing,

00:17:21.680 --> 00:17:24.680
and he prophesied it in Ezekiel, through Ezekiel, when he said,

00:17:24.680 --> 00:17:28.680
hey, I'll change your hard hearts to hearts of flesh,

00:17:28.680 --> 00:17:34.680
and then in Romans 12 it says, I will renew your mind, I'll show you how to renew your mind,

00:17:37.680 --> 00:17:43.680
and then when it comes to conscience, yeah, he's able to resensitize my conscience,

00:17:43.680 --> 00:17:44.680
resensitize it.

00:17:46.680 --> 00:17:51.680
So can you take a minute and think about some of these areas in your life where it's become that?

00:17:51.680 --> 00:17:54.680
It's not that you particularly enjoy the sin.

00:17:54.680 --> 00:17:55.680
Go ahead, Zia.

00:18:14.680 --> 00:18:22.680
Yeah, yeah, so his question is, if my conscience gets here to a point where now it's become second nature,

00:18:22.680 --> 00:18:24.680
and you don't even want to pray about it, what do you do?

00:18:24.680 --> 00:18:26.680
And that's the rest of the sermon.

00:18:29.680 --> 00:18:31.680
So, thank you for asking, yeah.

00:18:33.680 --> 00:18:38.680
If at the end of the sermon it's still not spoken of, then you can ask again.

00:18:38.680 --> 00:18:42.680
So, okay, so,

00:18:44.680 --> 00:18:48.680
when I was in school, I was a con man.

00:18:48.680 --> 00:18:53.680
I could con myself anytime, every time, and brilliantly.

00:18:53.680 --> 00:18:57.680
And when I became a believer, it didn't automatically go away.

00:18:57.680 --> 00:19:01.680
And the word con had now to be changed to lie.

00:19:03.680 --> 00:19:09.680
So, when you're a Christian, when you're not a Christian, words like con and shrewd and all that comes in.

00:19:09.680 --> 00:19:13.680
Once you become a Christian, you've got to change the word to con is no longer a con, it's a lie.

00:19:13.680 --> 00:19:20.680
And so, one of the things that happened is that I would lie without feeling like it was a big deal.

00:19:20.680 --> 00:19:22.680
Everybody lies. These are the ways we justify it.

00:19:22.680 --> 00:19:26.680
Whenever your conscience is seared, you'll be surprised at how you justify things.

00:19:26.680 --> 00:19:34.680
I even remember coming here in 1993 and having a dream where God is showing me a belt, and the belt was torn.

00:19:34.680 --> 00:19:35.680
It started tearing.

00:19:35.680 --> 00:19:38.680
A leather belt that I had began to tear in the dream.

00:19:38.680 --> 00:19:42.680
And the next morning I woke up and you didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

00:19:42.680 --> 00:19:45.680
You just had to be a belt maker.

00:19:45.680 --> 00:19:50.680
And so, I knew what God was saying. Listen, belt of truth, it's tearing.

00:19:50.680 --> 00:19:55.680
Pay attention to it. But it did not matter because my conscience had become dull to it.

00:19:55.680 --> 00:20:01.680
It's okay. Just a small lie here, another small lie there, a con here, or whatever you want to call it,

00:20:01.680 --> 00:20:06.680
till someone had to confront me with it and say, hey, you've got a problem in this area.

00:20:06.680 --> 00:20:14.680
And God sends people to confront you openly about it only after spending quite a long time trying to convince you otherwise.

00:20:14.680 --> 00:20:18.680
He treasures your, he cherishes your privacy.

00:20:18.680 --> 00:20:27.680
He only brings correction in a way from others when all other methods of helping you with the Holy Spirit have failed.

00:20:27.680 --> 00:20:32.680
And now the Holy Spirit uses someone else's words to convict you because our hearts have become so hardened

00:20:32.680 --> 00:20:36.680
that in that area we cannot even hear him trying to correct us.

00:20:36.680 --> 00:20:42.680
And then when you correct the person, if the person's heart is really hardened, they'll be offended for a while.

00:20:42.680 --> 00:20:47.680
Because a hard heart is always offended when truth is spoken.

00:20:57.680 --> 00:21:07.680
Any other questions? Can I be resensitized? Yeah.

00:21:07.680 --> 00:21:13.680
In my conscience, can I have a heart of flesh? Man, I'm telling you, God loves giving you a heart of flesh.

00:21:13.680 --> 00:21:20.680
Please examine right now, just for two minutes while I try and stay quiet. Please examine right now

00:21:21.680 --> 00:21:29.680
whether there are areas like this where your conscience has been seared, where your heart has kind of hardened in those areas.

00:21:33.680 --> 00:21:37.680
Doesn't have to be a scenario, guys. It can be just how you live.

00:21:39.680 --> 00:21:41.680
Just think of it for a minute and a half, eh?

00:21:41.680 --> 00:21:43.680
A minute and a half, eh?

00:21:49.680 --> 00:21:51.680
I have.

00:22:11.680 --> 00:22:13.680
Yes.

00:22:41.680 --> 00:23:03.680
The first place to start is an admission that, yeah, what we were doing just now, yeah,

00:23:03.680 --> 00:23:20.680
my heart is hard and conscience seared in these areas.

00:23:20.680 --> 00:23:28.680
So what is it? Is it habitual pride?

00:23:33.680 --> 00:23:39.680
Or control? Or stubbornness?

00:23:42.680 --> 00:23:54.680
Is it lying? Is it going in and out of porn?

00:23:54.680 --> 00:24:05.680
Or lust? Is it gossip that can morph into slander?

00:24:09.680 --> 00:24:15.680
Is it anger that wants retribution?

00:24:15.680 --> 00:24:21.680
Or just plain, sharp anger?

00:24:21.680 --> 00:24:26.680
What happens is when it's habitual, it's kind of becoming a lifestyle.

00:24:29.680 --> 00:24:31.680
It's one of the things pornography does, eh?

00:24:31.680 --> 00:24:37.680
Because porn has the ability to trap, what happens is you go in and out of it.

00:24:37.680 --> 00:24:44.680
And what happens when we go in and out of porn or in and out of lust is that there is a dullness that takes over.

00:24:44.680 --> 00:24:50.680
And no longer is the conscience affected by it.

00:24:50.680 --> 00:24:56.680
You'll have to take a nail and drive it through your foot before you realize, oops, I've got a nail in my foot.

00:24:56.680 --> 00:25:01.680
It's no longer a thin little pin or a thorn that'll do it.

00:25:01.680 --> 00:25:03.680
It's like our feet, eh, you won't know it.

00:25:03.680 --> 00:25:07.680
Dhillon and I and Kamal know what it is to have 55-year-old feet.

00:25:07.680 --> 00:25:11.680
Yeah? The heel gets a little hard.

00:25:21.680 --> 00:25:27.680
So the first part is an admission that, yeah, I'm struggling with this.

00:25:27.680 --> 00:25:28.680
So that's what we were trying to do here.

00:25:28.680 --> 00:25:36.680
And you can go home and you have time to work on it, eh?

00:25:36.680 --> 00:25:40.680
Any questions on the first step?

00:25:40.680 --> 00:25:44.680
Yes, absolutely.

00:25:44.680 --> 00:25:47.680
An orphan's spirit has become a way of thinking.

00:25:47.680 --> 00:25:48.680
So the mind is dulled.

00:25:48.680 --> 00:25:51.680
It lives under the shadow of it.

00:25:51.680 --> 00:25:52.680
Yeah.

00:25:52.680 --> 00:25:57.680
And a pastor who is an orphan can only raise orphans.

00:25:57.680 --> 00:26:01.680
Or a dad or a mom who is an orphan can only raise orphans.

00:26:01.680 --> 00:26:04.680
And by orphans, I don't mean biological orphans.

00:26:04.680 --> 00:26:14.680
I'm talking about orphan spirit as in never convinced of the father's love and goodness.

00:26:14.680 --> 00:26:20.680
Always working for it, always striving for it, always unsure of it.

00:26:20.680 --> 00:26:24.680
He is upset and everybody suffers from that.

00:26:24.680 --> 00:26:29.680
We come into Christianity as pathetic orphans.

00:26:29.680 --> 00:26:40.680
And then over 10, 20, 25 years, hopefully it will begin to change where you get secure in the father.

00:26:40.680 --> 00:26:47.680
And some of the questions, simple questions will reveal it.

00:26:47.680 --> 00:26:52.680
One simple question is, Jacob, when you go and ask for forgiveness from God, why are you asking him forgiveness for?

00:26:52.680 --> 00:26:54.680
What are you asking him forgiveness for?

00:26:54.680 --> 00:26:56.680
Is it to remove guilt?

00:26:56.680 --> 00:27:00.680
Or is it because it brings you close to God and you enjoy him again?

00:27:00.680 --> 00:27:01.680
Which one?

00:27:01.680 --> 00:27:03.680
Simple question.

00:27:03.680 --> 00:27:09.680
And it just exposes your heart.

00:27:09.680 --> 00:27:12.680
When you pray for protection, why do you pray for protection?

00:27:12.680 --> 00:27:16.680
Is it because you're scared that God will take away your guilt?

00:27:16.680 --> 00:27:20.680
Is it because you're scared that if you don't pray for protection, something will happen?

00:27:20.680 --> 00:27:27.680
Or is it because you're thrilled in the fact that your God protects you and you want to acknowledge it and speak it out?

00:27:27.680 --> 00:27:29.680
Which one is it?

00:27:29.680 --> 00:27:31.680
Go ahead, Zia.

00:27:31.680 --> 00:27:38.680
You mentioned that it doesn't have to be a sin, right?

00:27:38.680 --> 00:27:47.680
And then something that becomes second nature in terms of sin, and you are someone like, you hear it from someone or like somebody,

00:27:47.680 --> 00:27:51.680
God tells you that, okay, this is wrong, you're sorry, right?

00:27:51.680 --> 00:27:55.680
And then you realize, okay, it's a sin, so you know that's wrong and everything.

00:27:55.680 --> 00:27:57.680
But what if it's not a sin?

00:27:57.680 --> 00:27:59.680
Then how do you realize it?

00:27:59.680 --> 00:28:01.680
God will point things out, man.

00:28:01.680 --> 00:28:06.680
One of the things the Spirit of God wants to do is keep making you like Jesus.

00:28:06.680 --> 00:28:12.680
So every time, in every area that I'm not like Christ, He'll try to change me.

00:28:12.680 --> 00:28:23.680
James 4, verse 5 says it so beautifully in the, I'll just read the passion translation of James 4, 5,

00:28:23.680 --> 00:28:32.680
which isn't, I realize it's a translation, but it conveys what I believe God is trying to say.

00:28:32.680 --> 00:28:38.680
James 4, verse 5, it says,

00:28:38.680 --> 00:28:46.680
Does the Scripture mean nothing to you that says the Spirit that God breathed into our hearts

00:28:46.680 --> 00:28:54.680
is a jealous lover who intensely desires to have more and more of us?

00:28:54.680 --> 00:28:58.680
As He desires this, can I change you into who Christ is?

00:28:58.680 --> 00:29:00.680
Because that's why He's here.

00:29:00.680 --> 00:29:03.680
He's here to make us more like Him.

00:29:03.680 --> 00:29:11.680
The fruit of the Spirit is the nature of God being brought up and brought out through us.

00:29:11.680 --> 00:29:15.680
So this is the first place to start.

00:29:15.680 --> 00:29:21.680
Any questions about this before we go on?

00:29:21.680 --> 00:29:23.680
Okay, second.

00:29:23.680 --> 00:29:27.680
How many of these things do we have? Only three.

00:29:27.680 --> 00:29:29.680
So don't worry.

00:29:29.680 --> 00:29:32.680
It's only 534.

00:29:32.680 --> 00:29:36.680
Second, I'm on the right time zone, right?

00:29:36.680 --> 00:29:38.680
Okay.

00:29:40.680 --> 00:30:00.680
Second, you love righteousness by longing for the righteous one.

00:30:03.680 --> 00:30:06.680
Jesus Christ.

00:30:06.680 --> 00:30:35.680
And that's also how you develop a hatred or a dislike for what violates your relationship.

00:30:35.680 --> 00:30:49.680
We all have to move from where we are to just living by this standard.

00:30:49.680 --> 00:30:55.680
So the second way we love righteousness, and why are we talking about this?

00:30:55.680 --> 00:31:00.680
Because the Bible says in Psalm 45, verse 7, that because you love righteousness and you hate wickedness,

00:31:00.680 --> 00:31:13.680
therefore God your God has poured upon you sacred oil or has anointed you with the oil of joy or with such gladness that you're far superior than your companions are.

00:31:13.680 --> 00:31:17.680
That's what we're trying to get at because it's the core strength.

00:31:17.680 --> 00:31:21.680
So the second way you love righteousness is by longing for the righteous one.

00:31:21.680 --> 00:31:35.680
Longing, not obeying, not revering, not submitting, but first longing for the righteous one.

00:31:35.680 --> 00:31:37.680
Longing for him.

00:31:37.680 --> 00:31:44.680
This is where Psalms like Psalm 63, 1 and Psalm 45, 1 kick in.

00:31:44.680 --> 00:31:55.680
My heart overflows with a poem to my King, and my hand is the hand of a writer, and I shall now begin to write to my King.

00:31:55.680 --> 00:31:58.680
Or Psalm 63, 1, which I quoted two weeks ago.

00:31:58.680 --> 00:32:00.680
Oh God, you are my God.

00:32:00.680 --> 00:32:02.680
Earnestly I seek you.

00:32:02.680 --> 00:32:04.680
My soul longs for you.

00:32:04.680 --> 00:32:08.680
My body thirsts for you.

00:32:08.680 --> 00:32:13.680
Like a man who's roaming in a desert which is parched and weary.

00:32:13.680 --> 00:32:16.680
How different, eh, this kind of living would become?

00:32:16.680 --> 00:32:18.680
Longing for the righteous one.

00:32:18.680 --> 00:32:21.680
And as you begin to long for him, a strange thing happens.

00:32:21.680 --> 00:32:27.680
You begin to have such strong hatred or dislike for the things that he dislikes.

00:32:27.680 --> 00:32:35.680
Because not to dislike that violates your relationship.

00:32:35.680 --> 00:32:40.680
Haven't many of you men changed because of the strong dislike?

00:32:40.680 --> 00:32:45.680
Your wife or your spouse or someone you love has towards different things.

00:32:45.680 --> 00:32:48.680
You changed.

00:32:48.680 --> 00:32:53.680
You even changed friendships because she thought there was something wrong with that.

00:32:53.680 --> 00:33:00.680
It was hard, but you still changed.

00:33:00.680 --> 00:33:06.680
Any questions?

00:33:06.680 --> 00:33:10.680
Guys, we're trying to bring us back to the longing for the righteous one.

00:33:10.680 --> 00:33:11.680
Longing.

00:33:11.680 --> 00:33:13.680
Yearning.

00:33:13.680 --> 00:33:14.680
Those are the words.

00:33:14.680 --> 00:33:18.680
And these words must become part of our vocabulary.

00:33:18.680 --> 00:33:20.680
Words are important.

00:33:20.680 --> 00:33:24.680
Words are highly expressive.

00:33:24.680 --> 00:33:29.680
And these words must be used in our conversation with God.

00:33:29.680 --> 00:33:32.680
Can I get to a place where I can actually say,

00:33:32.680 --> 00:33:34.680
Gosh, I yearn for you.

00:33:34.680 --> 00:33:38.680
This is not enough.

00:33:38.680 --> 00:33:43.680
You can say that to your spouse.

00:33:43.680 --> 00:33:47.680
Strangely enough, he's more real than your spouse.

00:33:47.680 --> 00:33:57.680
Even though she is visible.

00:33:57.680 --> 00:33:59.680
Guys, here's the truth, though.

00:33:59.680 --> 00:34:05.680
This is an important distinction.

00:34:05.680 --> 00:34:16.680
Longing comes from being loved.

00:34:16.680 --> 00:34:19.680
This is critical.

00:34:19.680 --> 00:34:21.680
Longing comes from being loved.

00:34:21.680 --> 00:34:25.680
You long for someone when that person loves you.

00:34:25.680 --> 00:34:28.680
Longing comes from being loved.

00:34:28.680 --> 00:34:35.680
One of the reasons we find our relationship with God so sterile in terms of emotions

00:34:35.680 --> 00:34:43.680
is because we haven't experienced him loving us for our hearts to long after him.

00:34:43.680 --> 00:34:46.680
Longing comes because you are loved.

00:34:46.680 --> 00:34:52.680
One who is not loved will not long for the person they had begun chasing.

00:34:52.680 --> 00:34:55.680
You won't.

00:34:55.680 --> 00:35:01.680
I mean, honestly, I used to love a girl every six weeks when I was in college.

00:35:01.680 --> 00:35:04.680
I have written so many songs, it's crazy.

00:35:04.680 --> 00:35:08.680
The last girl I loved was one called Kathy, and that was a very sad song

00:35:08.680 --> 00:35:11.680
because each song gets sadder and sadder.

00:35:11.680 --> 00:35:16.680
And I would sit there, I would look at her, I would think that everything was good

00:35:16.680 --> 00:35:18.680
when I would have coffee with her.

00:35:18.680 --> 00:35:21.680
I even played this game of, I wasn't a believer, but I would ask God,

00:35:21.680 --> 00:35:23.680
Is this the one for me?

00:35:23.680 --> 00:35:27.680
And then if the secondhand needle was on the right hand of the watch,

00:35:27.680 --> 00:35:30.680
it would be she's for me, and I would look at it and it would be on the left hand.

00:35:30.680 --> 00:35:32.680
Then I'd say, best of three, oh God, best of five.

00:35:32.680 --> 00:35:36.680
It didn't matter how many times I did it, nothing would work,

00:35:36.680 --> 00:35:38.680
but the songs would get sadder and sadder.

00:35:38.680 --> 00:35:46.680
But the reason it didn't bother me was because there was no love from that side, man.

00:35:46.680 --> 00:35:52.680
Longing is only sustained when you are loved.

00:35:52.680 --> 00:35:57.680
And so one of the reasons we don't know what it is to long after God

00:35:57.680 --> 00:36:04.680
is because we haven't tangibly been able to capture, to taste, to enjoy, to bask in, to rest,

00:36:04.680 --> 00:36:09.680
to settle, to know, to sometimes feel what it is to be loved

00:36:09.680 --> 00:36:18.680
by the only person in the universe that invented love.

00:36:18.680 --> 00:36:23.680
You think and I think that in some form or the other,

00:36:23.680 --> 00:36:26.680
God's love is some kind of agape, I hate that word.

00:36:26.680 --> 00:36:29.680
Not because it's a bad word, not because it's not a Christian word.

00:36:29.680 --> 00:36:36.680
I hate that word because it means nothing to me. Agape.

00:36:36.680 --> 00:36:44.680
It's some kind of thing where, no, he's someone who invented the word love.

00:36:44.680 --> 00:36:46.680
He's someone who invented it for Adam and Eve.

00:36:46.680 --> 00:36:48.680
He's someone who invented it for Christ and the bride.

00:36:48.680 --> 00:36:51.680
He's someone who invented it for the father and the prodigal son.

00:36:51.680 --> 00:36:54.680
He's someone who invented it for the Shulamite woman and Solomon.

00:36:54.680 --> 00:36:57.680
He's someone who invented it for David and Jonathan.

00:36:57.680 --> 00:37:01.680
He's someone who invented it for Paul and the church.

00:37:01.680 --> 00:37:03.680
He's someone who invented it for you and your spouse.

00:37:03.680 --> 00:37:07.680
He invented it. There is nothing outside of him called love.

00:37:07.680 --> 00:37:14.680
He is it. Every pore of his, if he had pores, would ooze just this one thing.

00:37:14.680 --> 00:37:20.680
So to think that he can't convey love is crazy.

00:37:20.680 --> 00:37:27.680
It's just we got so used to it, man. We live in such fleshly realms.

00:37:27.680 --> 00:37:36.680
So how do we then go about it? How do we, if longing for him can only happen if he loves me,

00:37:36.680 --> 00:37:40.680
hey, how does a child long for the parent? Who loves whom first?

00:37:41.680 --> 00:37:45.680
The parent loves the child. The child begins to long for the parent.

00:37:45.680 --> 00:37:49.680
Have you met children who don't long for their parents? Do you know why?

00:37:49.680 --> 00:37:52.680
Because they haven't been loved or they've not known love or they've been abused.

00:37:52.680 --> 00:37:54.680
They don't run to their parents then.

00:38:02.680 --> 00:38:09.680
Now you can see why Jesus said in 1 John that perfect love casts out fear

00:38:09.680 --> 00:38:15.680
because whenever there's any fear or torment in love, you'll always be scared, just like a little child.

00:38:15.680 --> 00:38:21.680
And our love that we receive from God is always filled with fear and torment because of our human relationships.

00:38:22.680 --> 00:38:26.680
And yet he's saying, hey, I can do this every day.

00:38:26.680 --> 00:38:28.680
And you will be a people.

00:38:28.680 --> 00:38:39.680
That will be so changed. People will beg to taste.

00:38:39.680 --> 00:38:41.680
So how do we go about it?

00:38:45.680 --> 00:38:50.680
I mean, you do understand that longing, allow me to come back to it for just one minute.

00:38:50.680 --> 00:38:53.680
You do understand that longing cannot be sustained if you're not loved.

00:38:53.680 --> 00:38:58.680
A spouse who is not loved cannot sustain longing.

00:38:58.680 --> 00:39:06.680
The person can go into, I will love you because I swore at the altar that through sickness and death and all this stuff, I'm going to love you anyways.

00:39:06.680 --> 00:39:08.680
That's when it shifts to agape.

00:39:08.680 --> 00:39:12.680
But it wasn't supposed to be just agape.

00:39:12.680 --> 00:39:16.680
Agape is unconditional love. Doesn't matter what happens you love.

00:39:16.680 --> 00:39:20.680
So when I said I dislike the word agape, I didn't mean that it's a wrong kind of love.

00:39:20.680 --> 00:39:22.680
It's a purest, finest kind of love.

00:39:22.680 --> 00:39:25.680
But that's not how relationships are supposed to be.

00:39:25.680 --> 00:39:27.680
They are supposed to be packed with unconditional love.

00:39:27.680 --> 00:39:29.680
They're supposed to be packed with emotional love.

00:39:29.680 --> 00:39:31.680
They're supposed to be packed with intimacy.

00:39:31.680 --> 00:39:35.680
And in the case of spouses, sexual love too.

00:39:35.680 --> 00:39:41.680
But at the end of the day, to take everything out and be left with agape, gosh man, that was never God's desire for you.

00:39:41.680 --> 00:39:45.680
If that was the case, the Bible wouldn't have huge sections in it.

00:39:45.680 --> 00:39:49.680
So longing can only be sustained if I am loved.

00:39:49.680 --> 00:40:01.680
If Anilay does not love Tuni on a regular basis, Tuni's longing for Anilay will have to turn into agape.

00:40:01.680 --> 00:40:09.680
So you'll have to change his email to atho agape Tuni.

00:40:10.680 --> 00:40:14.680
So you'll have to change his email to atho agape Tuni.

00:40:20.680 --> 00:40:23.680
But thank God, Anilay likes him.

00:40:23.680 --> 00:40:27.680
We don't understand this, but she likes him.

00:40:27.680 --> 00:40:31.680
Mysterious are the ways of the Lord.

00:40:31.680 --> 00:40:33.680
So how do we go about it?

00:40:33.680 --> 00:40:35.680
So here are some questions.

00:40:37.680 --> 00:40:59.680
So first, in terms of being loved, can you trust that he does want to be loved?

00:40:59.680 --> 00:41:16.680
To love you in a far more tangible way than at present.

00:41:16.680 --> 00:41:17.680
Can you trust that?

00:41:17.680 --> 00:41:19.680
Can you trust that?

00:41:19.680 --> 00:41:23.680
I'm not even asking you to believe that because believing can be one thing.

00:41:23.680 --> 00:41:32.680
But I'm just asking that this God who invented love, who's written about it, who says that I put my spirit in you and my spirit longs to,

00:41:32.680 --> 00:41:38.680
my spirit like a jealous lover, longs to have you have more of me.

00:41:38.680 --> 00:41:40.680
Can I trust him?

00:41:40.680 --> 00:41:49.680
Now this is his desire, not once a week, not twice a week, many times a day.

00:41:49.680 --> 00:41:51.680
Can you trust him for this?

00:41:51.680 --> 00:41:56.680
It's so hard, but can you trust him?

00:41:56.680 --> 00:42:16.680
Because if we don't begin there, we'll settle for once a week.

00:42:16.680 --> 00:42:24.680
Even if you don't feel very good about yourself, I mean there's this scripture in Song of Songs, Chapter 1, Verse 6,

00:42:24.680 --> 00:42:29.680
where the woman thinks she's too dark and here's what she says,

00:42:29.680 --> 00:42:35.680
do not gaze at me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me.

00:42:35.680 --> 00:42:37.680
My mother's sons were angry with me.

00:42:37.680 --> 00:42:42.680
They made me keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept.

00:42:42.680 --> 00:42:45.680
And so she's ashamed to go in front of him.

00:42:45.680 --> 00:42:52.680
And yet it's after that that Solomon then comes and begins to talk about,

00:42:52.680 --> 00:42:57.680
listen, your skin is this and your skin is that and you use, you don't need any beauty products.

00:42:57.680 --> 00:43:01.680
That's where Solomon goes with it.

00:43:01.680 --> 00:43:07.680
So at the end of the day, you and I need to understand that this is something he desires.

00:43:07.680 --> 00:43:08.680
So that's the first question.

00:43:08.680 --> 00:43:12.680
Second question.

00:43:12.680 --> 00:43:15.680
Can you trust that he can convey it?

00:43:15.680 --> 00:43:27.680
Can you trust that he can convey it?

00:43:27.680 --> 00:43:31.680
Can you trust that he can convey it?

00:43:31.680 --> 00:43:34.680
Sometimes this will help us also to convey love.

00:43:34.680 --> 00:43:36.680
Some of us find it hard.

00:43:36.680 --> 00:43:46.680
It's not that we are incapable, but we find it hard to convey love in ways that the other person can feel.

00:43:46.680 --> 00:43:49.680
That changes too.

00:43:49.680 --> 00:43:53.680
So the second question is, can you trust that he is able to convey it?

00:43:53.680 --> 00:43:56.680
Convey it very specifically to you.

00:43:56.680 --> 00:44:01.680
The way God knows Hamadi needs to be loved is very different from how Jill needs to be loved.

00:44:01.680 --> 00:44:03.680
It's very different from how Rhonda needs to be loved.

00:44:03.680 --> 00:44:06.680
It's very different from how Jain needs to be loved.

00:44:06.680 --> 00:44:09.680
And he has the ability to convey it.

00:44:09.680 --> 00:44:15.680
Can you trust that?

00:44:15.680 --> 00:44:18.680
And if you trust that, can you go and say, I believe this.

00:44:18.680 --> 00:44:20.680
Show me how.

00:44:20.680 --> 00:44:22.680
Forty years I've lived, I'm out of practice.

00:44:22.680 --> 00:44:28.680
Fifty years, in Dilna's case, 55 years he's lived.

00:44:28.680 --> 00:44:31.680
It just keeps coming up in every sermon, every line.

00:44:31.680 --> 00:44:34.680
I don't know why, Dilna.

00:44:34.680 --> 00:44:37.680
It's Sheldon's fault, you know, right?

00:44:37.680 --> 00:44:40.680
Oh, was it?

00:44:40.680 --> 00:44:45.680
So at the end of the day, I've lived this different way, but please can you start?

00:44:45.680 --> 00:44:47.680
Because I absolutely trust you to be able to convey it.

00:44:47.680 --> 00:44:49.680
Guys, trust pleases God.

00:44:49.680 --> 00:44:51.680
Without faith it is impossible to please him.

00:44:51.680 --> 00:44:54.680
It pleases him that you actually think he's able.

00:44:54.680 --> 00:44:57.680
And he is.

00:44:57.680 --> 00:44:59.680
That's why I like the last song.

00:44:59.680 --> 00:45:00.680
I thank my God.

00:45:00.680 --> 00:45:02.680
I thank my Jesus.

00:45:02.680 --> 00:45:03.680
I thank my Savior.

00:45:03.680 --> 00:45:04.680
I thank my God.

00:45:04.680 --> 00:45:05.680
For what?

00:45:05.680 --> 00:45:07.680
For picking me up and turning me around.

00:45:07.680 --> 00:45:11.680
For cleansing me of sin, for changing my name.

00:45:11.680 --> 00:45:12.680
I love that.

00:45:12.680 --> 00:45:13.680
Change your name.

00:45:13.680 --> 00:45:16.680
He blooming changes your name.

00:45:16.680 --> 00:45:19.680
You begin to hear him call you strange things.

00:45:19.680 --> 00:45:22.680
And you love it.

00:45:22.680 --> 00:45:29.680
I mean, I was in Bahrain and I found out the things that people call each other.

00:45:29.680 --> 00:45:32.680
So one guy calls his wife Bo.

00:45:32.680 --> 00:45:34.680
And so another guy calls his wife Bo Bo.

00:45:34.680 --> 00:45:38.680
Then I found out a third guy calls his wife Boo Boo.

00:45:38.680 --> 00:45:43.680
And I'm thinking how many variations of B and O can you do?

00:45:43.680 --> 00:45:51.680
And then the best one, and if he hears this, he'll probably text me, so I won't name him.

00:45:51.680 --> 00:45:57.680
One wife calls her husband Burger.

00:45:57.680 --> 00:45:59.680
Hun Burger.

00:45:59.680 --> 00:46:05.680
And I thought to myself, hmm, if I find a wife like that.

00:46:05.680 --> 00:46:16.680
So if we humans can do it.

00:46:16.680 --> 00:46:20.680
Do you want to go around asking the room what each one calls each other?

00:46:20.680 --> 00:46:24.680
We won't, yeah.

00:46:24.680 --> 00:46:27.680
If we humans can do that.

00:46:27.680 --> 00:46:30.680
What, Derek, you want to say anything?

00:46:30.680 --> 00:46:33.680
All good?

00:46:33.680 --> 00:46:34.680
Okay.

00:46:34.680 --> 00:46:36.680
Can you trust that he can convey it?

00:46:36.680 --> 00:46:40.680
Third one.

00:46:40.680 --> 00:46:43.680
Do you have time?

00:46:43.680 --> 00:46:47.680
Do you have time?

00:46:47.680 --> 00:46:51.680
Do you have time?

00:46:51.680 --> 00:46:54.680
This one's on you.

00:46:54.680 --> 00:46:56.680
This one's on you.

00:46:56.680 --> 00:46:58.680
All the others he'll do.

00:46:58.680 --> 00:47:00.680
This one's on you.

00:47:00.680 --> 00:47:02.680
Do you have time?

00:47:02.680 --> 00:47:05.680
We don't.

00:47:05.680 --> 00:47:12.680
He's usually a pigeon in the park that we feed crumbs to after the day is done.

00:47:12.680 --> 00:47:13.680
Do you have time?

00:47:13.680 --> 00:47:14.680
Here's a crazy thing.

00:47:14.680 --> 00:47:19.680
Once this process starts, you'll have time.

00:47:19.680 --> 00:47:20.680
You'll have time.

00:47:20.680 --> 00:47:25.680
Because you'll want what you've tasted.

00:47:25.680 --> 00:47:33.680
Once this process starts, he becomes a priority not because he's God, but because you like him so much.

00:47:33.680 --> 00:47:44.680
Isn't it great when someone has time for their spouse not because the guy is their husband, but because they like him so much?

00:47:44.680 --> 00:47:48.680
That's what I meant by saying last two weeks ago that we are in love with a person.

00:47:48.680 --> 00:47:49.680
We're not in love with God.

00:47:49.680 --> 00:47:51.680
We are in love with a person.

00:47:51.680 --> 00:47:54.680
God makes it like husband.

00:47:54.680 --> 00:47:59.680
If Iris comes and says, my husband, my husband, I love my husband, I'll begin to question her.

00:47:59.680 --> 00:48:02.680
What's his name?

00:48:02.680 --> 00:48:09.680
I love Derek.

00:48:09.680 --> 00:48:10.680
Aaron, stop me.

00:48:10.680 --> 00:48:12.680
Was it Aaron or no?

00:48:12.680 --> 00:48:20.680
Joe.

00:48:20.680 --> 00:48:22.680
Fourth question.

00:48:22.680 --> 00:48:25.680
Can you search for him?

00:48:25.680 --> 00:48:32.680
Can you search for him?

00:48:32.680 --> 00:48:43.680
Can you search for him in the word?

00:48:43.680 --> 00:48:48.680
It's just seeking.

00:48:48.680 --> 00:48:52.680
I had a friend called Sharon Williams.

00:48:52.680 --> 00:48:57.680
The only thing I used to envy him for is his dad was a colonel.

00:48:57.680 --> 00:49:02.680
Every day when his dad comes back from work, they had a big house.

00:49:02.680 --> 00:49:11.680
His dad would try to hide somewhere in the house and the boys would have to find him.

00:49:11.680 --> 00:49:18.680
It was the one thing I desired my dad to do, but our house was small so I found him easily.

00:49:18.680 --> 00:49:19.680
So that was a disadvantage.

00:49:19.680 --> 00:49:24.680
This guy had a two-story house with many rooms and Colonel Williams would come home.

00:49:24.680 --> 00:49:33.680
He had this colonel mustache and he would sneak in through the back, through side entrance, sometimes under the fence, and he would go and hide.

00:49:33.680 --> 00:49:36.680
And both these brothers had to go find him.

00:49:36.680 --> 00:49:43.680
But they used to enjoy it thoroughly and I used to absolutely envy it because it used to be so much fun seeking out to dad.

00:49:50.680 --> 00:49:51.680
Do you have...

00:49:51.680 --> 00:49:54.680
Can you search for him in the word, in seeking?

00:49:54.680 --> 00:49:55.680
Can you search for him?

00:49:55.680 --> 00:49:57.680
Because we give up too easily.

00:49:57.680 --> 00:49:59.680
We give up too easily.

00:49:59.680 --> 00:50:01.680
Search for him.

00:50:01.680 --> 00:50:02.680
What are you looking for?

00:50:02.680 --> 00:50:03.680
Are you looking for a feeling?

00:50:03.680 --> 00:50:04.680
Sometimes.

00:50:04.680 --> 00:50:07.680
Are you looking for sudden contact in your spirit?

00:50:07.680 --> 00:50:08.680
Yes.

00:50:08.680 --> 00:50:10.680
Are you looking for some satisfaction in your soul?

00:50:10.680 --> 00:50:11.680
Yes.

00:50:11.680 --> 00:50:13.680
But Jacob, he's invisible.

00:50:13.680 --> 00:50:16.680
What about when your husband writes a letter to you and you open it?

00:50:16.680 --> 00:50:18.680
What happens to you?

00:50:18.680 --> 00:50:24.680
What about when he turns up on a WhatsApp message and says, boo boo?

00:50:28.680 --> 00:50:31.680
We just don't think this can happen with God.

00:50:31.680 --> 00:50:35.680
We're so accustomed to it, guys.

00:50:36.680 --> 00:50:37.680
But it's real.

00:50:37.680 --> 00:50:39.680
Can you search for him?

00:50:39.680 --> 00:50:42.680
And to search for him, you need time, right?

00:50:42.680 --> 00:50:43.680
I got four minutes.

00:50:43.680 --> 00:50:47.680
If I don't find you, well, I'll pray a prayer while driving.

00:50:48.680 --> 00:50:58.680
Everyone here is capable of this because this is who he is.

00:50:58.680 --> 00:51:05.680
Go to Song of Songs chapter 3, verse 2 to 4.

00:51:05.680 --> 00:51:10.680
Now, when you search for him, you will find him because he's always said, anyone who seeks me will find me.

00:51:10.680 --> 00:51:11.680
You will find me in the word.

00:51:11.680 --> 00:51:13.680
You behold me in the word, you will be changed.

00:51:13.680 --> 00:51:17.680
Guaranteed, Corinthians 3, 18 talks about it.

00:51:17.680 --> 00:51:19.680
Go to Song of Songs 3.

00:51:27.680 --> 00:51:29.680
She goes searching for him.

00:51:29.680 --> 00:51:33.680
On my bed by night I sought him, whom my soul loves.

00:51:33.680 --> 00:51:36.680
Beautifully, I sought him but found him not.

00:51:36.680 --> 00:51:38.680
I will rise now.

00:51:38.680 --> 00:51:44.680
So she doesn't then decide, eh, try it, then work, go to sleep.

00:51:44.680 --> 00:51:45.680
No.

00:51:45.680 --> 00:51:50.680
Then she says, I will rise now and go about the city in the streets and in the squares.

00:51:50.680 --> 00:51:53.680
I'll seek him whom my soul loves.

00:51:53.680 --> 00:51:55.680
I sought him but found him not.

00:51:55.680 --> 00:51:58.680
The watchman found me as I went about in the city.

00:51:58.680 --> 00:52:00.680
Have you seen him whom my soul loves?

00:52:00.680 --> 00:52:04.680
Scarcely had I passed him and I found him whom my soul loves.

00:52:04.680 --> 00:52:05.680
I held him.

00:52:05.680 --> 00:52:11.680
I would not let him go until I brought him into my mother's house and into the chamber of her who conceived me.

00:52:11.680 --> 00:52:13.680
Crazy, eh?

00:52:13.680 --> 00:52:17.680
Twice she gets stymied in her search for him.

00:52:17.680 --> 00:52:18.680
Can't find him.

00:52:18.680 --> 00:52:22.680
But she doesn't stop because she knows the one her soul loves.

00:52:22.680 --> 00:52:28.680
This is why it says, Oh taste and see that the Lord is good.

00:52:28.680 --> 00:52:31.680
It doesn't say, Oh pray and see.

00:52:31.680 --> 00:52:34.680
And it's in the blooming Old, sorry not blooming Old Testament.

00:52:34.680 --> 00:52:37.680
It's in the Old Testament.

00:52:37.680 --> 00:52:39.680
It's in the Old Testament.

00:52:39.680 --> 00:52:43.680
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good.

00:52:43.680 --> 00:52:45.680
And it's in the Old Testament.

00:52:45.680 --> 00:52:47.680
It's in the Old Testament.

00:52:47.680 --> 00:52:49.680
It's in the Old Testament.

00:52:49.680 --> 00:52:52.680
Oh taste and see that the Lord is good.

00:52:52.680 --> 00:52:53.680
He's more real now.

00:52:53.680 --> 00:53:03.680
He lives in me man, in his fullness.

00:53:03.680 --> 00:53:11.680
Next question.

00:53:11.680 --> 00:53:17.680
Can you drop everything?

00:53:17.680 --> 00:53:38.680
Can you drop everything and respond when he searches for you?

00:53:38.680 --> 00:53:40.680
Crazy, eh?

00:53:40.680 --> 00:53:46.680
Can you drop everything and respond when he searches for you?

00:53:46.680 --> 00:53:48.680
There'll be times when you know it.

00:53:48.680 --> 00:53:52.680
And trust me man, the Spirit of God will always convey it.

00:53:52.680 --> 00:53:54.680
Till you die you will know.

00:53:54.680 --> 00:53:57.680
When he does that, can you drop everything?

00:53:57.680 --> 00:53:58.680
Why?

00:53:58.680 --> 00:54:02.680
Because he's someone you love so much it is unimaginable not to do it.

00:54:02.680 --> 00:54:06.680
Go to Song of Songs chapter 5.

00:54:06.680 --> 00:54:09.680
Let's read from the New Living Translation.

00:54:09.680 --> 00:54:16.680
Song of Songs chapter 5 verse 3 to 5.

00:54:16.680 --> 00:54:25.680
Song of Songs chapter 5 verse 3 to 5 reading from the NLT, New Living Translation.

00:54:25.680 --> 00:54:29.680
Let's start at verse 2.

00:54:29.680 --> 00:54:35.680
I slept but my heart was awake when I heard my lover knocking and calling.

00:54:35.680 --> 00:54:40.680
Open to me my treasure, my darling, my dove, my perfect one.

00:54:40.680 --> 00:54:42.680
That's him speaking, eh?

00:54:42.680 --> 00:54:47.680
Open to me my treasure, my darling, my love, my perfect one.

00:54:47.680 --> 00:54:51.680
My head is drenched with dew, my hair with the dampness of the night.

00:54:51.680 --> 00:54:52.680
But I responded.

00:54:52.680 --> 00:54:55.680
I have taken off my robe should I get dressed again.

00:54:55.680 --> 00:55:01.680
I have washed my feet should I get them soiled.

00:55:01.680 --> 00:55:03.680
My lover tried to unlatch the door and my heart thrilled within me.

00:55:03.680 --> 00:55:04.680
I jumped up to open the door for my love.

00:55:04.680 --> 00:55:06.680
My hands dripped with perfume.

00:55:06.680 --> 00:55:08.680
My fingers dripped with lovely myrrh as I pulled back the bolt.

00:55:08.680 --> 00:55:10.680
I opened to my lover but he was gone.

00:55:10.680 --> 00:55:11.680
My heart sank.

00:55:11.680 --> 00:55:14.680
I searched for him but could not find him anywhere.

00:55:14.680 --> 00:55:21.680
Here is a situation where it's am I willing to drop everything to respond when he searches for me?

00:55:21.680 --> 00:55:24.680
Or will it be but I've already worn my pj's.

00:55:24.680 --> 00:55:25.680
It's already midnight.

00:55:25.680 --> 00:55:27.680
I got to wake up.

00:55:27.680 --> 00:55:28.680
I can't do this right now.

00:55:28.680 --> 00:55:29.680
Not right now.

00:55:29.680 --> 00:55:30.680
It's in the middle of cooking.

00:55:30.680 --> 00:55:32.680
This roast will become really roast or whatever.

00:55:32.680 --> 00:55:37.680
But roasts take long anyways, right?

00:55:37.680 --> 00:55:39.680
Let's not go there.

00:55:39.680 --> 00:55:44.680
So the point being that at the end of the day, when he can you drop everything to respond.

00:55:44.680 --> 00:55:48.680
These are the ways we find an ability to dash to him.

00:55:48.680 --> 00:55:50.680
And guys, we have to do this.

00:55:50.680 --> 00:55:55.680
Otherwise, it's only a matter of time where things become duty, tradition, boredom.

00:55:55.680 --> 00:56:00.680
When love is gone, isn't that what happens to marriages?

00:56:00.680 --> 00:56:10.680
Any questions?

00:56:10.680 --> 00:56:12.680
I'll skip the third thing.

00:56:12.680 --> 00:56:15.680
We'll do the third thing next time.

00:56:15.680 --> 00:56:25.680
Any questions?

00:56:25.680 --> 00:56:31.680
No, I wish I hadn't said that I hate the word agape because it's coming out wrong.

00:56:31.680 --> 00:56:33.680
It's almost as if it doesn't have any value.

00:56:33.680 --> 00:56:39.680
Agape is what sustains us when times are hard.

00:56:39.680 --> 00:56:46.680
Otherwise, we get caught only in this and when times get hard or when time is short,

00:56:46.680 --> 00:56:48.680
then this thing just falls apart.

00:56:48.680 --> 00:56:50.680
Agape is unconditional.

00:56:50.680 --> 00:56:54.680
It loves regardless of whether there's a return or not.

00:56:54.680 --> 00:56:58.680
It loves regardless of what the circumstances are.

00:56:58.680 --> 00:57:04.680
That's what sustains us through difficult times.

00:57:04.680 --> 00:57:07.680
Oh God, oh God, why have you forsaken me?

00:57:07.680 --> 00:57:10.680
But he still won't get off the cross.

00:57:10.680 --> 00:57:16.680
Even though we were his enemies, he still stretched out his hand in friendship.

00:57:16.680 --> 00:57:25.680
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, even though we were enemies.

00:57:25.680 --> 00:57:37.680
But he wants us to enjoy beyond unconditional love because at some point, I mean, simple question.

00:57:37.680 --> 00:57:53.680
If I took Brielle and, what's your name, Iris, or if I took Rennie and Joey, or Rachel and any of her kids,

00:57:53.680 --> 00:57:55.680
isn't there unconditional love?

00:57:55.680 --> 00:57:57.680
There is.

00:57:57.680 --> 00:58:01.680
But doesn't one love so that one can be loved back too?

00:58:01.680 --> 00:58:03.680
Isn't there longing?

00:58:03.680 --> 00:58:05.680
There is.

00:58:05.680 --> 00:58:08.680
Leave alone with spouses too.

00:58:08.680 --> 00:58:14.680
Unconditional love is a solid, firm foundation that this grows in.

00:58:14.680 --> 00:58:19.680
So I apologize sincerely for saying I dislike it.

00:58:19.680 --> 00:58:22.680
I dislike it because everybody gets stuck there and then we don't have this.

00:58:22.680 --> 00:58:24.680
I mean, this is not there.

00:58:24.680 --> 00:58:43.680
Slowly it becomes duty, obligation because we don't know Agape like he does.

00:58:43.680 --> 00:58:51.680
Any other questions?

00:58:51.680 --> 00:59:10.680
So if you learn how to, and we have to learn, if you learn how to long or yearn,

00:59:10.680 --> 00:59:24.680
one of the things that will begin to happen is rendezvous will take place between you and God.

00:59:24.680 --> 00:59:42.680
There are many moments during a day between you and his presence.

00:59:42.680 --> 00:59:45.680
Yeah.

00:59:45.680 --> 00:59:50.680
It will happen often.

00:59:50.680 --> 00:59:55.680
If you learn how to long or yearn for him this way,

00:59:55.680 --> 01:00:24.680
you will experience life altering, you'll experience the life altering nature of God's reckless, overwhelming love.

01:00:24.680 --> 01:00:31.680
The life altering nature of, guys, any boy, any girl who knows the love of their parents

01:00:31.680 --> 01:00:39.680
will be ridiculously bold in both their dreaming, their action, and their generosity.

01:00:39.680 --> 01:00:49.680
I guarantee any child who is confident of the love of their dad or mom

01:00:49.680 --> 01:01:03.680
will be ridiculously bold in their action, in their generosity, and in their dream.

01:01:03.680 --> 01:01:10.680
Joseph was favored by his father. He began to dream.

01:01:10.680 --> 01:01:16.680
Any area where I'm confident of God's love, gosh, doesn't matter how,

01:01:16.680 --> 01:01:23.680
and the boldness will come with giftedness or no giftedness.

01:01:23.680 --> 01:01:29.680
I have seen people who are in love with God who can't sing a note, and they'll be the loudest singers.

01:01:29.680 --> 01:01:40.680
And you think to yourself, my God, I wish you wouldn't be so deep in love, but they don't care.

01:01:40.680 --> 01:01:44.680
So it's not boldness that comes with giftedness. It's just a sheer boldness.

01:01:44.680 --> 01:01:48.680
I love it when I see kids who know their dad and mom love them.

01:01:48.680 --> 01:02:04.680
They come walking into the church as if it's their building, and then they make noise while they're coming in too.

01:02:04.680 --> 01:02:11.680
And one last statement and we'll stop and do the third one next week.

01:02:11.680 --> 01:02:27.680
This kind of yearning or longing after God is not to fill a void,

01:02:27.680 --> 01:02:41.680
but to make you strong, to make you strong and overflow.

01:02:41.680 --> 01:02:47.680
This is not for, please don't think that this kind of love I need because there's a void in my life.

01:02:47.680 --> 01:02:53.680
That's not what it's for. It's so that you become really strong in God.

01:02:53.680 --> 01:02:57.680
That's the boldness in generosity, the boldness in action, the boldness in dreaming.

01:02:57.680 --> 01:03:03.680
That is why we need this. It's not so that a void be filled in my life till I get married.

01:03:03.680 --> 01:03:12.680
No. This is not comfort love. Yes, that's part of God's agape, but that's not the reason.

01:03:12.680 --> 01:03:19.680
That's not the reason. When it says in Daniel chapter 10 that those who know their God will do mighty deeds,

01:03:19.680 --> 01:03:31.680
one of the knowing of God's is knowing him as one that you long after and that loves you.

01:03:31.680 --> 01:03:39.680
Go for this man. And if you don't make an attempt, you'll...

01:03:39.680 --> 01:03:46.680
How many of you learned to ride a bike in just the first attempt?

01:03:46.680 --> 01:03:51.680
Zia, you did, huh? Okay. There are some things you might be exceptional at.

01:03:51.680 --> 01:03:58.680
Biking is just one of them. Anyone else who learned to bike in one attempt?

01:03:58.680 --> 01:04:02.680
You both too? Oh my Lord.

01:04:02.680 --> 01:04:08.680
All right, moving on. This was not my experience.

01:04:08.680 --> 01:04:15.680
Okay. Maybe it's normal. For me, it was so blooming difficult.

01:04:15.680 --> 01:04:22.680
You would sit on the bike and you'd go about six thing and then my body would start leaning this way and I'd be on the floor.

01:04:22.680 --> 01:04:26.680
The number of scrapes I've had. So maybe this is normal for you.

01:04:26.680 --> 01:04:30.680
Forget the example. It is a bad example. Yeah? Let's rewind.

01:04:30.680 --> 01:04:40.680
At the end of the day, any questions before we end? Any questions?

01:04:40.680 --> 01:04:44.680
Can you attend this? Mark, what do you think? My turn to ask questions.

01:04:44.680 --> 01:04:53.680
What do you think of this, Mark? Chava, you're next. So start thinking.

01:04:53.680 --> 01:04:58.680
We don't need a mic for this. Yeah.

01:05:14.680 --> 01:05:19.680
Don't worry about it. God doesn't care. I'm just saying His intent is to make you strong.

01:05:19.680 --> 01:05:25.680
But if you want His love for comfort, hey, more love on you so that you feel comforted.

01:05:25.680 --> 01:05:31.680
Yeah, because comfort can make you strong too. So be not to worry about that.

01:05:31.680 --> 01:05:33.680
Chava.

01:05:33.680 --> 01:05:40.680
I think all good makes sense.

01:05:40.680 --> 01:05:46.680
I love this. I should do it every week. I think all good makes sense.

01:05:46.680 --> 01:05:50.680
Yeah, when a Sodor graduate says that, it must be really good.

01:05:50.680 --> 01:05:55.680
Prashant, what do you think?

01:05:55.680 --> 01:06:01.680
Crazy, no? That's such a key to this. You don't find the time. This remains theory.

01:06:01.680 --> 01:06:09.680
And it's one of the hardest things to do, eh? Find time. Because everything is instant, right?

01:06:09.680 --> 01:06:14.680
Rhonda, what do you think?

01:06:14.680 --> 01:06:20.680
What Prashant said, time. Yeah.

01:06:20.680 --> 01:06:28.680
Yeah. Guys, create time. Sorry. Yeah, create time for this.

01:06:28.680 --> 01:06:34.680
I know you're on busy lives. I know. And then you went and had children too.

01:06:34.680 --> 01:06:41.680
And so I realize it's busy. But this is so critical for your children too.

01:06:41.680 --> 01:06:48.680
Creating time? Okay.

01:06:48.680 --> 01:06:56.680
Spend one week doing this knowingly. And you will find it enough of a priority to...

01:06:56.680 --> 01:07:00.680
And as soon as it becomes a priority, you'll create time for it.

01:07:00.680 --> 01:07:07.680
Guys, time is always created by priorities. Time is always created by priorities.

01:07:07.680 --> 01:07:12.680
Whatever you prioritize, you have time for. Always.

01:07:12.680 --> 01:07:17.680
And so to prioritize this, you have to taste it.

01:07:17.680 --> 01:07:22.680
If you've never watched hockey, you will not prioritize hockey.

01:07:22.680 --> 01:07:31.680
But once you watch it, oh my God, three and a half hours of your life is always available.

01:07:31.680 --> 01:07:36.680
It's the same thing. Taste it for one week. For one week, decide.

01:07:36.680 --> 01:07:40.680
Or if you're the duller type, take two weeks.

01:07:40.680 --> 01:07:46.680
Sorry, that didn't come out right. Let us all take two weeks, yeah?

01:07:46.680 --> 01:07:54.680
So two weeks, decide that for two weeks, I am going to create not a limited time,

01:07:54.680 --> 01:07:59.680
but a time that may be only 15 minutes, maybe one hour, 15 minutes.

01:07:59.680 --> 01:08:02.680
But I'm going to try this for just two weeks.

01:08:02.680 --> 01:08:08.680
And in the process, you will find that it is tasty enough to prioritize.

01:08:08.680 --> 01:08:14.680
That's the way. And as soon as you prioritize it, you will find the time for it.

01:08:14.680 --> 01:08:17.680
And then it will be very hard to steal it from you.

01:08:17.680 --> 01:08:21.680
Mary sitting at the feet of Jesus was not a one-off.

01:08:21.680 --> 01:08:24.680
That was not the first time she did it.

01:08:24.680 --> 01:08:28.680
She had been probably hanging out with Jesus on many different occasions

01:08:28.680 --> 01:08:33.680
because that was one of Jesus' favorite homes to go to for meals.

01:08:33.680 --> 01:08:36.680
The Bible gives evidence for that.

01:08:36.680 --> 01:08:42.680
And so she must have gotten so used to it that as soon as he comes in, what does she do?

01:08:42.680 --> 01:08:45.680
Plunk herself at his feet.

01:08:52.680 --> 01:08:55.680
Try it for two weeks.

01:08:59.680 --> 01:09:02.680
Any other questions? Nick, what do you think?

01:09:13.680 --> 01:09:16.680
You need to watch more Romcoms, okay.

01:09:19.680 --> 01:09:25.680
But I'd like to say to you that you're the kind of guy who can fall madly in love with Jesus, man.

01:09:25.680 --> 01:09:28.680
That's your very makeup.

01:09:28.680 --> 01:09:34.680
You're just a ridiculous romantic.

01:09:36.680 --> 01:09:39.680
You have no hope if you go in here.

01:09:42.680 --> 01:09:44.680
Xavier?

01:09:48.680 --> 01:09:51.680
You can't take Prashant's line anymore.

01:09:56.680 --> 01:09:59.680
Diana?

01:10:03.680 --> 01:10:05.680
Praise God.

01:10:05.680 --> 01:10:08.680
Marie, you want to add anything?

01:10:08.680 --> 01:10:11.680
You want to add anything? You're okay now.

01:10:11.680 --> 01:10:15.680
Just in all, Shreena.

01:10:16.680 --> 01:10:19.680
Shreena, okay.

01:10:23.680 --> 01:10:26.680
Yeah, to give back once you receive it.

01:10:28.680 --> 01:10:30.680
Don?

01:10:34.680 --> 01:10:36.680
Very good.

01:10:40.680 --> 01:10:42.680
Jill?

01:10:45.680 --> 01:10:48.680
That says it all. You go for it, girl.

01:10:48.680 --> 01:10:50.680
Rachel?

01:10:52.680 --> 01:10:55.680
Any comment? Anything you want to say?

01:11:01.680 --> 01:11:03.680
Sorry?

01:11:05.680 --> 01:11:06.680
Yeah.

01:11:06.680 --> 01:11:09.680
That the dullness needs to be broken off slowly.

01:11:09.680 --> 01:11:10.680
Yeah.

01:11:10.680 --> 01:11:14.680
That the dullness needs to be broken off to start to enjoy this.

01:11:14.680 --> 01:11:23.680
And so if you went back in the notes, you'll find that one of the things he does when he does this is he breaks the dullness off, eh?

01:11:23.680 --> 01:11:26.680
Our hearts need to be revived, guys.

01:11:26.680 --> 01:11:30.680
Because in a church like this, you can easily be revived by a whole lot of other things.

01:11:30.680 --> 01:11:34.680
Good worship, good teaching, good friends, good great pastor, and so on.

01:11:34.680 --> 01:11:38.680
But you can't be revived by a person who's not a good person.

01:11:38.680 --> 01:11:40.680
And so you need to be a good pastor and so on.

01:11:40.680 --> 01:11:46.680
But at the end of the day, nothing can take away the dullness like he does, eh?

01:11:46.680 --> 01:11:49.680
Crystal, anything you want to add?

01:11:54.680 --> 01:11:56.680
Not a lot of churches talk about it.

01:11:56.680 --> 01:12:00.680
I think we need to, because if we can get this, it'll be so much fun, man.

01:12:00.680 --> 01:12:04.680
If we are like this now, imagine what it'll be to be like that.

01:12:04.680 --> 01:12:07.680
It'll be nuts.

01:12:07.680 --> 01:12:12.680
Okay, anything you want to say, given that... yeah.

01:12:12.680 --> 01:12:16.680
Yeah, not to give up too easily.

01:12:16.680 --> 01:12:19.680
Guys, as you try this, don't give up too easily.

01:12:19.680 --> 01:12:22.680
Always go back to those six questions I asked.

01:12:22.680 --> 01:12:24.680
Does he want to do this?

01:12:24.680 --> 01:12:26.680
Can he convey it?

01:12:26.680 --> 01:12:28.680
Can he be uniquely personal?

01:12:28.680 --> 01:12:31.680
Don't give up on this.

01:12:34.680 --> 01:12:36.680
None of us would get married if we gave up easily.

01:12:36.680 --> 01:12:38.680
Tuni would still be single.

01:12:41.680 --> 01:12:43.680
Single and?

01:12:43.680 --> 01:12:45.680
Single and bald.

01:12:45.680 --> 01:12:48.680
Did you say... sorry, did you say bald or bald?

01:12:48.680 --> 01:12:50.680
Okay, okay.

01:12:54.680 --> 01:12:59.680
All right, before we go any further with this line of thinking, let's close, yeah?

01:12:59.680 --> 01:13:01.680
Derek, you want to say anything?

01:13:07.680 --> 01:13:16.680
I want to see what life really looks like when this is done in a consistent basis for a long period of time.

01:13:16.680 --> 01:13:18.680
Yeah, yeah.

01:13:18.680 --> 01:13:23.680
I want to see what life looks like if he does it consistently for a long period of time.

01:13:23.680 --> 01:13:30.680
Guys, I've been trying to practice this for a while now, and it's changing my life.

01:13:30.680 --> 01:13:34.680
And if my life is changing, you will get affected by it too.

01:13:34.680 --> 01:13:36.680
You will get affected by it too.

01:13:38.680 --> 01:13:41.680
Last, let me ask Ann if she wants to add anything.

01:13:45.680 --> 01:13:47.680
You want to come up?

01:13:49.680 --> 01:13:54.680
Ann, Ann, the 55-year-old man's wife.

01:13:55.680 --> 01:13:57.680
Go ahead, Ann.

01:14:04.680 --> 01:14:06.680
Explain.

01:14:12.680 --> 01:14:14.680
Explain.

01:14:26.680 --> 01:14:28.680
Yeah.

01:14:29.680 --> 01:14:31.680
To run after him. Cool.

01:14:31.680 --> 01:14:33.680
Delian, you want to end?

01:14:33.680 --> 01:14:35.680
Okay.

01:14:35.680 --> 01:14:37.680
Okay.

01:14:37.680 --> 01:14:39.680
Okay.

01:14:44.680 --> 01:14:52.680
I think it would be amazing to see how life changes, how art, the visual image and the affective effects.

01:14:52.680 --> 01:14:54.680
Get here.

01:14:54.680 --> 01:15:05.680
Remember guys, pleasure is the joy you have over a treasure that you set your heart on and will sell everything for.

01:15:05.680 --> 01:15:07.680
Beautiful, eh? Not my line.

01:15:07.680 --> 01:15:21.680
Pleasure is the joy that you have over a treasure that your heart is set on and that you'll sell everything for.

01:15:24.680 --> 01:15:27.680
In your presence is pleasure forevermore.

01:15:27.680 --> 01:15:29.680
What's he trying to say?

01:15:29.680 --> 01:15:38.680
Pleasure is the joy that you have over a treasure your heart is set on and you'll sell everything for it.

01:15:41.680 --> 01:15:43.680
Cool.

01:15:43.680 --> 01:15:45.680
There are no songs that will capture this whole thing.

01:15:45.680 --> 01:15:50.680
It will have to be a song written by someone in the world because those songs capture this really well.

01:15:50.680 --> 01:15:54.680
But perhaps if I sing that, this church will lose its reputation.

01:15:54.680 --> 01:15:56.680
So let's conclude.

01:15:57.680 --> 01:16:00.680
What song would you sing?
