00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.540
Working day test units, thank you.

00:00:20.840 --> 00:00:26.140
Everyone

00:00:26.140 --> 00:00:33.140
Sadiq, can you let Brandon know I want to start?

00:00:47.860 --> 00:00:54.860
I think we should give for when we go for a break, we should give people a tag and then

00:00:55.220 --> 00:01:02.220
it buzzes, yeah. And it doesn't stop buzzing till you come in.

00:01:10.140 --> 00:01:14.540
All right, you remember you change places only because you need to be aware that it

00:01:14.540 --> 00:01:21.460
is easy in a church as it grows bigger to have groups that settle and don't connect

00:01:21.460 --> 00:01:27.740
at any level other than a very superficial level, eh? So, you might try a few things

00:01:27.740 --> 00:01:34.740
every week till we get the hang of it, yeah? Okay, so today we switch from what the series

00:01:36.620 --> 00:01:43.620
we were doing called Take Your Rightful Place to Consecration. Derek, you want to come up?

00:01:44.620 --> 00:01:51.620
I just asked Derek to pray for me because this might be a message that might change

00:01:54.220 --> 00:02:01.220
some of our lives and I don't have the ability to do it.

00:02:01.220 --> 00:02:08.220
Guys, as a church can we stretch our hands towards Jacob and pray together? Before we

00:02:16.580 --> 00:02:23.580
pray we want to thank you for Jacob's life, for the rich teaching that we receive week

00:02:24.580 --> 00:02:31.580
in and week after. Our lives show the word that has become flesh in us and we are so

00:02:34.500 --> 00:02:40.460
much better in you because of that. So we thank you and we recognize that first.

00:02:40.460 --> 00:02:47.460
But now we pray that even as Jacob begins to teach today that as Paul said that there

00:02:48.460 --> 00:02:54.900
will be a demonstration of your power through his words. And often times when we read that

00:02:54.900 --> 00:03:00.740
words we are expecting things to happen right in front of our eyes. But sometimes there

00:03:00.740 --> 00:03:06.460
are things, even big strongholds that get broken inside of our lives. And I pray that

00:03:06.460 --> 00:03:12.660
as Jacob teaches tonight, as this church agrees, as we are yielded to hear from you and to

00:03:12.660 --> 00:03:18.260
learn from you through your word about, as we agree and as we stand in unity in that,

00:03:18.260 --> 00:03:24.540
may these words that Jacob speaks about that come out of his mouth, may those words change

00:03:24.540 --> 00:03:29.900
our hearts, change our being so that we are united in purpose for what you have for us.

00:03:29.900 --> 00:03:31.980
We bless him in Jesus' name. Amen.

00:03:31.980 --> 00:03:38.980
Thanks man. So in 1873 there was this guy called D.L. Moody and some of you have heard

00:03:38.980 --> 00:03:45.980
this phrase before. And he said, he was talking to a guy called Varley, V-A-R-L-Y. And he

00:03:46.620 --> 00:03:52.260
had spoken to the guy in 1872. The guy had said something to him. He goes back to him

00:03:52.260 --> 00:03:59.260
in 1873 and then he says these words, eh? And he says, the world, the world has yet

00:03:59.900 --> 00:04:06.900
to see, the world has yet to see what God can do. And he says, the world has yet to

00:04:09.420 --> 00:04:16.420
see what God will do, not can do, will do, what God will do with a man fully consecrated

00:04:30.260 --> 00:04:37.260
to him. Crazy, eh? So this man had spoken to D.L. Moody and he said, he was talking

00:04:38.980 --> 00:04:45.980
to D.L. Moody in 1872. Moody goes on a trip to Chicago and a few other, to the UK and

00:04:46.740 --> 00:04:50.660
back and forth from Chicago and he comes back and he speaks to Varley and he says, you said

00:04:50.660 --> 00:04:56.660
these words to me and they really troubled me over the last year, really troubled me.

00:04:56.660 --> 00:05:03.660
That the world is yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to him. And

00:05:04.660 --> 00:05:11.660
then he goes on to say to Varley that I aim to be that man. That's what he said. I aim

00:05:17.740 --> 00:05:24.740
to be that man. And from there on begins his journey. The D.L. Moody goes on and he begins

00:05:24.740 --> 00:05:31.740
to, he begins to do things across the US and Europe that shakes it to its very core, eh?

00:05:33.860 --> 00:05:40.860
But this quote is something else and it applies to every man and woman here. And this is why

00:05:41.180 --> 00:05:46.860
I asked Derek to pray because I won't be able to do this for you but the Spirit of God can

00:05:46.860 --> 00:05:53.300
do something in our hearts, man. There's nobody here that cannot be just turned upside down

00:05:53.300 --> 00:06:00.300
by this word. It's not the richness of teaching, it's not the gifts of the Spirit, it's not

00:06:00.300 --> 00:06:07.300
anything. At the end of the day it boils down to this simple fact. The world has yet

00:06:09.860 --> 00:06:15.460
to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to him. And then he goes and says, I aim to

00:06:15.460 --> 00:06:22.460
be that man. By God's help, by God's help, he puts that in, I'm sorry I left that out.

00:06:23.060 --> 00:06:30.060
By God's help I aim to be that man. And so if you take the word consecrate, you can take

00:06:30.300 --> 00:06:37.060
it. Without going into Greek or Hebrew or anything of that sort, it simply means to

00:06:37.060 --> 00:06:44.060
separate, to separate yourself holy to the Lord. To separate yourself holy to the Lord,

00:06:52.860 --> 00:06:56.940
that's what it means. To separate yourself holy to the Lord. That's, at the end of the

00:06:56.940 --> 00:07:03.820
day, that's the essence of what consecrate means. To separate yourself holy to the Lord.

00:07:03.820 --> 00:07:09.780
There were a group of guys in the Old Testament that were known for this. You find it in Numbers

00:07:09.780 --> 00:07:15.940
6. Strangely enough, the only thing we remember out of Numbers 6 is, the Lord bless you and

00:07:15.940 --> 00:07:19.780
keep you, the Lord make his face to shine upon you. The Lord give you his peace, cause

00:07:19.780 --> 00:07:23.700
his face to, countenance to be lifted upon you. That's what we remember. But if you read

00:07:23.700 --> 00:07:30.660
the preceding verses from Numbers 6.1 to 21, you find that there is a group of guys

00:07:30.660 --> 00:07:37.660
that would go into this place of consecration. And they were called the Nazarites. Now, Samson

00:07:39.140 --> 00:07:43.700
was a Nazarite and there were very few full time Nazarites. It wasn't a clan, it wasn't

00:07:43.700 --> 00:07:50.700
a tribe. But people would go in and out of a Nazarite oath or a vow because it was prescribed

00:07:51.700 --> 00:07:58.700
in the Old Testament. And so if you go to Numbers 6, verse 1 to 8 for instance, Numbers

00:08:00.700 --> 00:08:07.700
6 verse 1 to 8, it says, and the Lord spoke to Moses, speak to the people of Israel and

00:08:09.700 --> 00:08:15.700
say to them, and I love this, it's not very often that you find man or woman in the Old

00:08:15.900 --> 00:08:20.800
Testament. But here it says in verse 2, speak to the people of Israel and say to them, when

00:08:20.800 --> 00:08:27.300
either a man or a woman makes a special vow, the vow of a Nazarite to separate himself

00:08:27.300 --> 00:08:34.300
to the Lord, he shall separate himself from wine and strong drink. He shall drink no vinegar

00:08:34.660 --> 00:08:40.620
made from wine or strong drink and shall not drink any juice of grapes or eat grapes fresh

00:08:40.620 --> 00:08:45.820
or dried. All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the

00:08:45.820 --> 00:08:51.740
grape wine, not even the seeds of the skins, seeds of the, or the skins. All the days of

00:08:51.740 --> 00:08:57.740
his vow of separation no razor shall touch his head until the time is completed for which

00:08:57.740 --> 00:09:03.060
he separates himself to the Lord. So it was for a time that they would do it. And they

00:09:03.060 --> 00:09:08.740
would decide the time ahead of time so that they would say, during this time I will live

00:09:08.740 --> 00:09:15.740
as a Nazarite and I will subscribe to the Nazarite vow. And so verse 5, all the days

00:09:19.020 --> 00:09:24.400
of his vow of separation no razor shall touch his head until the time is completed for which

00:09:24.400 --> 00:09:28.840
he separates himself to the Lord. He shall be holy. He shall let the locks of the hair

00:09:28.840 --> 00:09:34.360
of his head grow long. All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he shall not

00:09:34.600 --> 00:09:40.040
go near a dead body. Not even for his father or for his mother or brother or sister if

00:09:40.040 --> 00:09:46.760
they die shall he make himself unclean because his separation to God is on his head. All

00:09:46.760 --> 00:09:53.760
the days of separation he is holy to the Lord. And then if you go to verse 13, and it says,

00:09:55.400 --> 00:09:59.840
and this is the law for the Nazarite when the time of his separation has been completed.

00:09:59.840 --> 00:10:06.840
He shall be brought to the entrance of the tent of meeting. And then he had to offer

00:10:09.560 --> 00:10:14.800
offerings but look at what the offerings were. He shall bring his gift to the Lord. One main

00:10:14.800 --> 00:10:20.880
lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering. One yew lamb a year old without

00:10:20.880 --> 00:10:26.600
blemish as a sin offering. One ram without blemish as a peace offering. A basket of unleavened

00:10:26.600 --> 00:10:33.440
bread. Loaves of fine flour mixed with oil. Unleavened wafers smeared with oil and the

00:10:33.440 --> 00:10:37.720
grain offerings and the drink offerings. And the priest shall bring them before the Lord.

00:10:37.720 --> 00:10:43.680
The final thing that he would do is in verse 18, 6, 18, and it says there, and the Nazarite

00:10:43.680 --> 00:10:48.400
shall shave his consecrated head at the entrance of the tent of meeting and shall take the

00:10:48.400 --> 00:10:53.480
hair from his consecrated head and put it on the fire that is under the sacrifice of

00:10:53.480 --> 00:10:59.760
the peace offering. It seems such an odd passage to go to talk about consecration but this

00:10:59.760 --> 00:11:06.760
was a normal part of Old Testament life where people would decide that they were going to

00:11:06.880 --> 00:11:13.440
separate themselves wholly to the Lord. So what was the point of taking a note that you

00:11:13.440 --> 00:11:18.480
wouldn't drink wine, that you would grow your hair, that you wouldn't touch dead bodies

00:11:18.560 --> 00:11:25.280
and that you would give in offerings? Because guys remember wine was like bubbly or coke.

00:11:25.280 --> 00:11:30.320
People would drink it every day. To say that for the next three years or the next eight

00:11:30.320 --> 00:11:35.040
months I was not going to touch anything that was alcoholic or that had wine in it or that

00:11:35.040 --> 00:11:42.040
had grape in it was to say that in separating myself it will have lifestyle or social implications.

00:11:48.480 --> 00:11:52.120
You know what this would mean, right? That you would go to a wedding and when you go

00:11:52.120 --> 00:11:57.760
to the wedding you would not be able to participate even if Jesus turned it into wine. It didn't

00:11:57.760 --> 00:12:02.520
matter who turned the water into wine, you wouldn't drink it. You go for a regular meal,

00:12:02.520 --> 00:12:07.680
you couldn't drink wine. You go for a Passover meal, you couldn't drink wine. It would be

00:12:07.680 --> 00:12:14.680
out of question. There were social or lifestyle implications to separating yourself. We need

00:12:14.680 --> 00:12:20.080
to hear that because we are not called to be Nazrites right now though this premise

00:12:20.080 --> 00:12:26.080
did exist in the New Testament too. But the point is if I decide that I am going to consecrate

00:12:26.080 --> 00:12:33.080
myself know that there will be social and lifestyle implications. The next one. The

00:12:34.960 --> 00:12:39.960
next one was that you had to grow your hair and you could not cut your hair. What was

00:12:39.960 --> 00:12:46.960
the intent? That there would be physical implications that would make visible what

00:12:58.600 --> 00:13:05.600
you were doing. It was physical implication. I remember speaking to someone from the Sikh

00:13:05.600 --> 00:13:12.600
faith, a Punjabi, a very religious Punjabi and he said your Jesus was like us. So I

00:13:13.600 --> 00:13:20.600
said why do you say that? He said because he would grow his hair and he would wear an

00:13:20.600 --> 00:13:25.200
outfit that would make it obvious that he was holy and so he would not be able to enter

00:13:25.200 --> 00:13:31.200
a place of disrepute without people noticing. And then he said that's why we wear this orange

00:13:31.200 --> 00:13:37.200
turban and we dress like this because once we put this on we can't go around into places

00:13:37.200 --> 00:13:42.200
of ill repute because the moment we do people will recognize that here is a hypocrite who

00:13:42.200 --> 00:13:49.200
is going into a place he shouldn't go to. This is from a guy from the Punjabi faith.

00:13:49.200 --> 00:13:55.200
The point being the moment I consecrate myself this is a difficult thing that God is inviting

00:13:55.200 --> 00:14:02.200
us into. This cannot be legislated. But there is nobody here who God is not inviting into

00:14:02.200 --> 00:14:09.200
something like this. But there has to be something that is physically visible that makes evident

00:14:10.200 --> 00:14:17.200
to the world around you that you have separated yourself to something or someone. That this

00:14:18.200 --> 00:14:25.200
is one of those things where it's not like Jesus saying if you fast don't let people

00:14:26.200 --> 00:14:33.200
know that you're fasting. This is if you are setting yourself apart let people know. The

00:14:36.200 --> 00:14:43.200
third thing was dead bodies. Do not touch dead bodies. Today doesn't seem like a big

00:14:44.200 --> 00:14:49.200
deal because none of us would have a problem with touching dead bodies but in those days

00:14:49.200 --> 00:14:56.200
a person could die of a cold next to you. Death was very normal. There would be plagues.

00:14:56.200 --> 00:15:00.200
People would die of different things. It could be a father, mother, brother, sister. They

00:15:00.200 --> 00:15:05.200
would have multiple sisters and brothers. And so the intent of the Nazarite vow in this

00:15:05.200 --> 00:15:12.200
case was to let us know that if we went down this route there were relational, physical

00:15:14.200 --> 00:15:20.200
implications where our relationships would be affected by it. We would not be able to

00:15:20.200 --> 00:15:27.200
take part in relational things that are culturally sometimes a way of showing respect that we

00:15:27.200 --> 00:15:34.200
would have to withdraw from. And then finally look at the offerings that had to be presented.

00:15:34.200 --> 00:15:41.200
There was no other situation where one man had to present a lamb, a ewe lamb and a ram,

00:15:44.200 --> 00:15:51.200
a basket of flour, leavened bread, wafers smeared with oil. No other sacrifice ever demanded

00:15:53.200 --> 00:15:58.200
so much of a person because it was impossible for an ordinary man to then fulfill this vow

00:15:59.200 --> 00:16:04.200
because you could not. I mean even by today's standards one whole lamb is going to cost

00:16:04.200 --> 00:16:09.200
you a lot. In those days when people were poor to get a lamb, to get a ewe lamb and

00:16:09.200 --> 00:16:14.200
to get a ram and then to get a basket of flour and then to get wafers that are smeared with

00:16:14.200 --> 00:16:20.200
oil and bring that all as an offering before God would be so expensive that it was prohibitive

00:16:20.200 --> 00:16:25.200
which would then mean that the only way that you could do it is if some of us gathered

00:16:26.200 --> 00:16:33.200
around you because we knew what you were doing and helped you get there. So consecration

00:16:33.200 --> 00:16:40.200
could not even be completed in isolation because you would not be able to complete this offering.

00:16:40.200 --> 00:16:47.200
You would need others to help you with it. So there were four different types of offerings

00:16:55.200 --> 00:17:02.200
that were financial implications. And so what are we trying to say? We are trying to say

00:17:08.200 --> 00:17:14.200
that if you want to go down this route of D.L. Moody where he says the world has to

00:17:14.200 --> 00:17:20.200
see what God will do. The world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated

00:17:20.200 --> 00:17:27.200
to him. You know what encourages me about that is that it is so open to anybody. There

00:17:31.200 --> 00:17:38.200
is no one here who this is not open to. But this is where 1st Chronicles 16.9 just comes

00:17:39.200 --> 00:17:46.200
into being. The eyes of the Lord roam to and fro across the earth looking for someone on

00:17:46.700 --> 00:17:53.700
whose behalf he can show himself strong because they show themselves loyal. But consecration

00:17:54.700 --> 00:18:01.700
is not a day thing. You cannot grow your hair in a day. Right Tony? It takes longer than

00:18:04.840 --> 00:18:11.840
that. So it takes a while. So it would not be something that you commit to for a day.

00:18:12.840 --> 00:18:19.840
It required time. And that is where in our busy world it becomes so impossible to consecrate

00:18:21.840 --> 00:18:25.840
ourselves. The best we can do is bring our talents and our gifts, our two loaves and

00:18:25.840 --> 00:18:32.840
our five fish and say, Oh God multiply it. And he still does. Both for our sake and for

00:18:33.840 --> 00:18:40.840
the sake of others. But it is not what he is looking for. He is looking for the people

00:18:41.840 --> 00:18:47.840
who are not like him. And so throughout history there have been Nazrites like this. And they

00:18:47.840 --> 00:18:53.840
usually come out when there is an overwhelming stench of the world around you. That is when

00:18:53.840 --> 00:19:00.840
these men pop up. So you see Samson popping up. Samuel was another one. In 1 Samuel 1.11.

00:19:01.840 --> 00:19:06.840
In his case he was perhaps the only other Nazrite that was perhaps a full time Nazrite.

00:19:06.840 --> 00:19:13.840
And his mother brings him to Eli and she says, Here is my son. I dedicate him to the Lord

00:19:13.840 --> 00:19:20.840
and all the days of his life a razor shall not touch his head. And so you have Samuel.

00:19:25.840 --> 00:19:31.840
David was not a Nazrite but there were times when he would go into long periods of not

00:19:31.840 --> 00:19:36.840
touching a certain item of food or not doing this. There were times when he would do things

00:19:36.840 --> 00:19:41.840
like that. Paul was another one. Paul probably did it once or twice in the New Testament.

00:19:41.840 --> 00:19:46.840
That is a strange thing. This is not an Old Testament premise. You see this in the New

00:19:46.840 --> 00:19:51.840
Testament too. In Acts chapter 19 before Ephesus is completely turned around as a city that

00:19:51.840 --> 00:19:57.840
belonged to Artemis now belonging to the living God, you will find in Acts 18.18 Paul fulfilling

00:19:57.840 --> 00:20:03.840
a vow that he took where he goes into the temple and he shaves his head. Shaving the head

00:20:03.840 --> 00:20:12.840
was never a Christian or a Mosaic or a Judaic prescription because the pagan nations used to

00:20:12.840 --> 00:20:17.840
shave their heads when people would die so that it would look like they were mourning and they

00:20:17.840 --> 00:20:24.840
would be mourning to their gods. And so God had forbade people from shaving their heads. So

00:20:24.840 --> 00:20:29.840
every time you read that someone went and shaved their head in the Old Testament or the New

00:20:29.840 --> 00:20:35.840
Testament it is because they were fulfilling a vow. Paul does it in Acts 18.18. He fulfills a

00:20:35.840 --> 00:20:47.840
vow. Don't know how long he maintained it. And every time you get to a place where the world has

00:20:47.840 --> 00:20:53.840
this overwhelming stench you will see Samson's and Samuel's and David's and Elijah's and the

00:20:53.840 --> 00:21:01.840
other one was John the Baptist. He was a man who would not touch the dainties from the king's table

00:21:01.840 --> 00:21:17.840
who lived a certain way. What is this then? It's a prophetic sign guys. It's a prophetic sign. It's a

00:21:17.840 --> 00:21:32.840
It's a prophetic sign or a symbol. It's a prophetic sign or a symbol of God's covenant faithfulness

00:21:32.840 --> 00:21:39.840
as in I will not let the earth go without raising someone or the other who can do what I want to on the

00:21:39.840 --> 00:21:46.840
earth so that more may know me. It's a prophetic sign of God's covenant faithfulness and holiness

00:21:46.840 --> 00:22:02.840
to awaken first the church and then through the church the world. What is a prophetic sign? Ones who

00:22:02.840 --> 00:22:16.840
consecrate themselves. What's a model in the Bible? The Nazarites. Please understand they were not a

00:22:16.840 --> 00:22:24.840
clan. They were not a tribe. There was no drafting into Nazarite kind of a ritual. Nobody was compelled.

00:22:24.840 --> 00:22:34.840
You didn't have to do it. It wasn't a rite of passage. It was voluntary. This is what he's inviting

00:22:34.840 --> 00:22:44.840
Jordan to, Aaron into, Prashanth into, Mark into, James into. Please give me one man. Give me one man.

00:22:44.840 --> 00:22:52.840
The world has yet to see what God will do with a man fully consecrated to him. In every generation God is looking

00:22:52.840 --> 00:22:58.840
for men like this across the continent and it really shifts everything. No amount of gifts, no large church,

00:22:58.840 --> 00:23:08.840
no Holy Spirit revival. Nothing else does this as powerfully as a man set up. G. K. Chesterton said these words,

00:23:08.840 --> 00:23:24.840
Each generation, each generation, each generation is converted by the saint, each generation is converted by the saint

00:23:24.840 --> 00:23:34.840
who contradicts it the most. Combine these two guys and I pray God that the Holy Spirit begins to create a hunger in some

00:23:34.840 --> 00:23:44.840
of our hearts. Man or woman, that it begins to create a hunger in your heart. This must become your cry. Oh God,

00:23:44.840 --> 00:23:54.840
I have heard of your deeds. I stand in awe of your deeds. Renew them. I want to renew them Jacob, but I'm looking for a man

00:23:54.840 --> 00:24:02.840
or a woman whose life is consecrated to me because the world has not yet seen what God can do with a man fully consecrated to him.

00:24:02.840 --> 00:24:10.840
Each generation is converted by the saint who contradicts it. Everything in this world is instant, instant, instant. Everything in this

00:24:10.840 --> 00:24:17.840
world is get, set your, create a platform. Doesn't matter whether it's a church or the world, create a platform. Do this, do that.

00:24:17.840 --> 00:24:24.840
You need more influence. You can do this. Let your gifts be known. Put it on media. Put it on this, put it on that.

00:24:24.840 --> 00:24:34.840
And Jesus never did this, but he was consecrated to the Father.

00:24:41.840 --> 00:24:44.840
Any questions?

00:24:44.840 --> 00:24:56.840
Exactly this. Separate to God, holy for him. The meaning of consecration.

00:24:56.840 --> 00:25:04.840
To separate yourself holy to the Lord. That's the meaning of the word consecrate. It is to separate yourself as it says in number six.

00:25:04.840 --> 00:25:18.840
I am right now a part of this large group and then I'm saying I'm separating myself and standing alone even if I contradict, even if it has relational

00:25:18.840 --> 00:25:29.840
implications, even if it has lifestyle implications, even if it means physical implications will make me look awkward and odd, even if it means that I'll have

00:25:29.840 --> 00:25:42.840
financial implications which may cause me financial loss. Yet all this is as nothing for the sake of him to whom I set myself apart.

00:25:47.840 --> 00:25:50.840
And it's an invitation to everybody. Go ahead, Marco.

00:25:50.840 --> 00:25:59.840
Any other questions?

00:25:59.840 --> 00:26:09.840
Yeah, consecration is something that doesn't need permission. Consecration is to say I'm separating myself to be holy unto God.

00:26:09.840 --> 00:26:15.840
How you go about it differs and we'll talk about that, different ways of doing it. Because it changes for different people, eh?

00:26:15.840 --> 00:26:25.840
Each of us has a different way of doing it. So it's not like you're going to be a Christian, you're going to be a Christian, you're going to be a Christian.

00:26:25.840 --> 00:26:34.840
Because it changes for different people, eh? Each of us has different things we are struggling with. I'll ask you a set of questions that will make it a little more obvious.

00:26:40.840 --> 00:26:53.840
It's not a proving of our love, eh? We don't set ourselves apart because we want to prove our love. It's not a proving of our love but a separating cause we love.

00:26:54.840 --> 00:27:01.840
Cause we love, not because we want to prove him, prove to him that we love him. It's a separating cause we love him.

00:27:04.840 --> 00:27:09.840
In the New Testament you'll find it in Acts chapter 21, Acts chapter 21,

00:27:09.840 --> 00:27:21.840
verse 24, Acts 21, 24.

00:27:24.840 --> 00:27:29.840
And so this was them talking to Paul and saying to him in verse 23,

00:27:29.840 --> 00:27:47.840
Go to Acts 18, 18.

00:27:47.840 --> 00:27:53.840
Acts 18, 18 it says,

00:27:53.840 --> 00:27:59.840
After this Paul stayed many days longer and took leave with the brothers and set sail for Syria.

00:27:59.840 --> 00:28:05.840
And with him Priscilla and Aquila at Sankria he had cut his hair for he was under a vow.

00:28:05.840 --> 00:28:09.840
These were voluntary things people would do. And what was the intent?

00:28:09.840 --> 00:28:14.840
Can I do something that will help me set myself apart for holy use?

00:28:17.840 --> 00:28:23.840
Can I do something physical? Sometimes you need to do something like this to break out of the rut that we are in.

00:28:29.840 --> 00:28:36.840
So now to answer, try and answer Marcos' question and Anna's question.

00:28:38.840 --> 00:28:44.840
What does this imply? It implies giving up. It is giving up.

00:28:47.840 --> 00:29:02.840
It is giving up smaller desires that have a hold on me or in my life,

00:29:02.840 --> 00:29:12.840
hold in my life for the sake of a greater desire. That's one.

00:29:12.840 --> 00:29:17.840
Let me write down a few more and then we can talk about it.

00:29:17.840 --> 00:29:22.840
Two. These things aren't sin.

00:29:26.840 --> 00:29:30.840
These things aren't sin but are hindering me.

00:29:32.840 --> 00:29:41.840
It's going to get uncomfortable now, eh? But are hindering me from the person I need to be.

00:29:43.840 --> 00:29:48.840
Are hindering me from the person I need to be.

00:29:48.840 --> 00:30:06.840
It could be anything from Facebook to social media to a little bit of wine or alcohol that you may or may not be using in moderation.

00:30:06.840 --> 00:30:19.840
The way you dress, the events you attend, the TV you watch, the way you spend, the way you spend time,

00:30:23.840 --> 00:30:31.840
the way you use your phone. None of these are sinful.

00:30:31.840 --> 00:30:38.840
These things aren't sin but are hindering me from the person I need to be.

00:30:43.840 --> 00:30:56.840
So if you were honest, if you were honest, where do the lines blur and you begin to compromise?

00:30:57.840 --> 00:31:00.840
And I begin to compromise.

00:31:05.840 --> 00:31:22.840
If you were honest, what distracts you or hinders you, what distracts you or hinders you from being the person that you know you should be?

00:31:27.840 --> 00:31:37.840
You know you should be. You know God's spoken to you, He's shown you, He's told you, there's no dirt of prophetic words.

00:31:37.840 --> 00:31:43.840
You know the entire scene. You can write a book about your future. I can. I can write a book about my future.

00:31:43.840 --> 00:31:49.840
So many have come right from 35 years ago, 33 years ago and they've told me, Jacob, Jacob, Jacob.

00:31:49.840 --> 00:31:57.840
But why is it that the book isn't completed? Why haven't I gotten to the last page?

00:31:57.840 --> 00:32:02.840
And so when I say what hinders you, don't think of something big.

00:32:02.840 --> 00:32:11.840
An example I heard was, so you may say, oh I need to spend quality time with my wife and so the hindrance is I should create time to spend with my wife.

00:32:11.840 --> 00:32:19.840
That's a big thing. The small thing is people spend an hour with their wife with their phones next to them and do not pay attention to their spouse.

00:32:19.840 --> 00:32:22.840
That is a small thing that needs to be taken care of.

00:32:22.840 --> 00:32:28.840
Our Christian life is being ruined by the small things that are adding up, not by the big things.

00:32:28.840 --> 00:32:35.840
We have the ability to take the big things and deal with them. But it is the small things.

00:32:36.840 --> 00:32:43.840
The constant looking at the phone while you're sitting with the one you love, not being present.

00:32:43.840 --> 00:32:48.840
It's the small things. It's not the big things.

00:32:53.840 --> 00:32:59.840
It's the small things that ruin us guys. It's the little foxes that are spoiling the wine.

00:33:00.840 --> 00:33:04.840
And each of us has this in our lives and for each of us it's different.

00:33:04.840 --> 00:33:12.840
For some of you, perhaps Facebook is not a big deal. For some of us, it's consuming.

00:33:13.840 --> 00:33:35.840
The third question is what good thing, what good thing is bringing spiritual decay into your life?

00:33:35.840 --> 00:33:40.840
What good thing is giving up your life?

00:33:40.840 --> 00:33:44.840
And can I give it up? And can I sacrifice it?

00:33:50.840 --> 00:33:56.840
Okay, let's talk about it now. It's giving up the smaller desires that have a hold on my life.

00:33:56.840 --> 00:34:05.840
I pray God that as I say this, that it just pops up to your mind, smaller desires that have a hold in your life.

00:34:05.840 --> 00:34:15.840
If I asked you to give it up for a day or two, you would. If I asked you to give it up for a month or two, you would come up with reasons why it's not a good idea.

00:34:17.840 --> 00:34:20.840
You would come up with reasons saying this is legalism.

00:34:20.840 --> 00:34:25.840
You would come up with reasons saying God knows my heart. Of course he does.

00:34:34.840 --> 00:34:45.840
So if I ask someone here who consumes Facebook to give up Facebook for the next seven months, the thought itself grips your heart and squeezes it.

00:34:46.840 --> 00:34:55.840
If I ask you to give up the wine you have or the alcohol you have for the next eight months, you can't even think of doing without it.

00:34:55.840 --> 00:35:08.840
If I ask yourself not to sit in front of the TV mindlessly flipping channels, it might be difficult because it's the way we fall off to sleep.

00:35:08.840 --> 00:35:17.840
These are the small things, but day by day by day they are eating away at time and a moral fiber and at our focus.

00:35:22.840 --> 00:35:29.840
The second thing was things that aren't sin but are hindering me from the person I need to be.

00:35:29.840 --> 00:35:34.840
Things that aren't sin. These are not sinful things.

00:35:34.840 --> 00:35:39.840
The strange thing about consecration is that we are not talking about sinful things.

00:35:41.840 --> 00:35:44.840
We are talking about good things that are hindering.

00:35:49.840 --> 00:35:55.840
As I'm preparing this, I'm thinking to myself, my God, the amount of time I waste, you've been robbed by me.

00:35:55.840 --> 00:36:05.840
One of the reasons I want to preach this is so that I can say, for your sake, O God, for his sake and for your sake, is there a chance, Jacob, that you would consecrate yourself?

00:36:09.840 --> 00:36:19.840
Mothers do that when they get pregnant, don't they? Mothers who drink wine, mothers who smoke, mothers who have been smoking for a while and mothers who drink wine stop.

00:36:19.840 --> 00:36:20.840
What are they doing for?

00:36:20.840 --> 00:36:25.840
Mothers who have been smoking for a while and mothers who drink wine stop. What are they doing for?

00:36:25.840 --> 00:36:29.840
They consecrate themselves for the sake of the one they're giving birth to.

00:36:37.840 --> 00:36:47.840
Can May do this? Can Dawn do this? Can Jillian do this? Can Derek do this? Can Sue do this? Can Jane and Sheldon do this?

00:36:47.840 --> 00:36:55.840
Can Hannah and George do this? Can Diana do this? Can Emily do this? Can Tooney do this? For your sake and for his sake?

00:36:55.840 --> 00:37:18.840
The third thing was, what good thing is bringing spiritual decay? What good thing is bringing spiritual decay? What good thing is bringing spiritual decay?

00:37:18.840 --> 00:37:37.840
In Acts chapter 6, verse 2, it was all day, the disciples, the apostles say, choose for us seven men full of the Holy Spirit so that we can ask them to take care of the needy widows, which is a super good thing,

00:37:37.840 --> 00:37:44.840
because those that take care of widows and orphans are actually practicing perfect religion according to Jesus.

00:37:44.840 --> 00:37:54.840
And even though it was a good thing, the apostles say, we need to devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word.

00:37:54.840 --> 00:38:02.840
Therefore, choose for us seven men full of the Holy Spirit so that they can take care of it. Why?

00:38:02.840 --> 00:38:08.840
Because if the apostles continue doing it, what would happen as a result would be spiritual decay of the church.

00:38:13.840 --> 00:38:19.840
And so they appoint seven and they devote themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word,

00:38:19.840 --> 00:38:25.840
consecrate themselves to prayer and the ministry of the word, because if prayer and the ministry of the word begins to decline,

00:38:25.840 --> 00:38:32.840
or is there a certain stagnant level in the church, especially in terms of the pastor and the leadership,

00:38:32.840 --> 00:38:39.840
then know this for certain that faith will decline, holiness will decline, fruitfulness will decline, and the ministry of the word will decline.

00:38:39.840 --> 00:38:48.840
Sometimes what is happening to you is the responsibility of the ones who lead you,

00:38:48.840 --> 00:38:53.840
because they are not putting in the time to prevent certain things from happening to you,

00:38:53.840 --> 00:38:57.840
just as you would say that about your children.

00:38:57.840 --> 00:39:02.840
But some things happen to your children because you did not put in place what was required,

00:39:02.840 --> 00:39:06.840
the work that was required to keep them safe.

00:39:06.840 --> 00:39:11.840
And like Paul says, I'm the chief among those sinners.

00:39:11.840 --> 00:39:14.840
I'm not quoting Paul, I'm talking about myself.

00:39:17.840 --> 00:39:24.840
Because this hasn't happened in my life for a very, very, very, very, very long time.

00:39:24.840 --> 00:39:28.840
What if it happens for all of us?

00:39:29.840 --> 00:39:33.840
Any questions before we go on?

00:39:33.840 --> 00:39:36.840
Any questions, guys?

00:39:37.840 --> 00:39:40.840
Any questions before we go on?

00:39:40.840 --> 00:39:43.840
Any questions, guys?

00:40:06.840 --> 00:40:31.840
Yeah.

00:40:31.840 --> 00:40:36.840
I think when it comes to finances, start with single simple principles.

00:40:36.840 --> 00:40:44.840
And the first principle that perhaps all of us can start with is, am I afraid of money?

00:40:44.840 --> 00:40:46.840
Start with that.

00:40:46.840 --> 00:40:53.840
If I have the fear of money, then it will control, it will drive, it will lead, it will affect everything I do.

00:40:53.840 --> 00:40:56.840
Just start with that simple principle.

00:40:56.840 --> 00:41:00.840
Am I afraid of money? When I have less, am I afraid?

00:41:00.840 --> 00:41:04.840
When I have less, lack, scare me, am I afraid?

00:41:04.840 --> 00:41:07.840
The fear of money is where we start.

00:41:07.840 --> 00:41:11.840
If you can deal with the fear of money and get less and less afraid of money,

00:41:11.840 --> 00:41:16.840
money is a great servant and a tyrannical master.

00:41:16.840 --> 00:41:18.840
So it's a great servant, it will serve you well.

00:41:18.840 --> 00:41:21.840
It's amoral.

00:41:21.840 --> 00:41:24.840
It will serve you well, but it's a tyrannical master.

00:41:24.840 --> 00:41:32.840
The first thing I ask myself every two or three months is, hey, has the fear returned?

00:41:32.840 --> 00:41:36.840
Start there.

00:41:36.840 --> 00:41:39.840
And you can build from there.

00:41:39.840 --> 00:41:46.840
Any other questions with regard to what I was talking about?

00:41:46.840 --> 00:41:47.840
Okay.

00:41:47.840 --> 00:41:50.840
Consecration always leads to the visitation of God.

00:41:50.840 --> 00:41:54.840
Consecration always leads to the visitation of God.

00:41:54.840 --> 00:41:57.840
You go from merely being proximal to Him.

00:41:57.840 --> 00:42:02.840
You go from proximity to, you go from mere proximity to sheer presence.

00:42:02.840 --> 00:42:07.840
Mere proximity to sheer presence.

00:42:07.840 --> 00:42:12.840
Whenever someone consecrates themselves to God, God shows up.

00:42:12.840 --> 00:42:16.840
Every time an individual or a few people consecrate themselves to God, God visits.

00:42:16.840 --> 00:42:20.840
Doesn't matter whether we were talking, we were talking about the Hebrides 2.0 revival.

00:42:20.840 --> 00:42:23.840
I mean, that was the story of Stornoway.

00:42:23.840 --> 00:42:33.840
Two old ladies and a priest called Campel, and a guy called Campel.

00:42:33.840 --> 00:42:41.840
They consecrated themselves and an entire island was set on fire with the tangible presence of God.

00:42:41.840 --> 00:42:44.840
You see, every time consecration happens,

00:42:44.840 --> 00:42:46.840
I mean, sometimes when people consecrate themselves,

00:42:46.840 --> 00:42:52.840
God doesn't even allow them to finish the consecration because He turns up with His presence and completely disrupts it.

00:42:52.840 --> 00:43:00.840
Case in point, 1 Kings 8, where they're consecrating Solomon's temple.

00:43:00.840 --> 00:43:07.840
And they're in the process of slaughtering lambs and sheep to offer to God.

00:43:07.840 --> 00:43:14.840
And in the middle of that, just when the priests are going to play the final crescendo notes to the consecration,

00:43:14.840 --> 00:43:16.840
before it's complete, God turns up.

00:43:16.840 --> 00:43:20.840
And it says, and 1 Kings 8, 18 or thereabouts, it says, 11, 18, it says,

00:43:20.840 --> 00:43:26.840
the priests could not even stand because the glory of God entered the temple.

00:43:26.840 --> 00:43:31.840
He disrupts it. He loves it. He loves it. He loves someone.

00:43:31.840 --> 00:43:35.840
You know why He loves it? Because He is holy.

00:43:35.840 --> 00:43:42.840
Kadoosh, the very word Kadoosh, which stands, is a Hebrew word for holy, simply means set apart.

00:43:42.840 --> 00:43:45.840
That's the meaning of the word.

00:43:45.840 --> 00:43:51.840
We say Kadoosh, holy. The actual sense of Kadoosh is set apart.

00:43:51.840 --> 00:43:56.840
And so when anybody begins to consecrate themselves to the Lord, set apart to the Lord,

00:43:56.840 --> 00:44:02.840
there's so much, it's like strings playing the same note.

00:44:11.840 --> 00:44:14.840
Consecration always ends up with the visitation of God.

00:44:14.840 --> 00:44:21.840
Every revival we have heard of in the past is usually because a small group of people,

00:44:21.840 --> 00:44:25.840
it doesn't matter whether it's the Moravians who changed the world many years ago,

00:44:25.840 --> 00:44:29.840
or whether it's a Campbell here or a Wesley there,

00:44:29.840 --> 00:44:36.840
at some point they decided, by God's help, I want to be that man.

00:44:43.840 --> 00:44:46.840
Or I want to be that woman.

00:44:46.840 --> 00:44:49.840
Sometimes the best way to break out of a rut,

00:44:49.840 --> 00:44:55.840
a moral rut, a spiritual rut in your life, is to fast from the things that always set you off.

00:44:55.840 --> 00:45:00.840
Fasting is a dying art in churches like this.

00:45:00.840 --> 00:45:05.840
Because we are freelancers who know the Father.

00:45:05.840 --> 00:45:11.840
And sometimes it's good to go back to those simple practices.

00:45:11.840 --> 00:45:14.840
Not fasting from food. I'm not talking about that right now.

00:45:14.840 --> 00:45:18.840
I'm talking about fasting from the things that are trapping you.

00:45:18.840 --> 00:45:25.840
Where you make a decision saying, from this day on, for the next so many months, I will not.

00:45:25.840 --> 00:45:29.840
And you struggle through it for the first few days, and then it becomes normal.

00:45:29.840 --> 00:45:32.840
And you find that the triggers are breaking.

00:45:32.840 --> 00:45:35.840
You find that the patterns are absent.

00:45:35.840 --> 00:45:39.840
You find that the snare is not springing.

00:45:39.840 --> 00:45:43.840
And as you begin to walk in that new freedom,

00:45:43.840 --> 00:45:49.840
you begin to know the holiness of God at a level that you haven't yet experienced it.

00:45:49.840 --> 00:45:55.840
And it begins to affect you so much that to live without it becomes intolerable.

00:45:55.840 --> 00:46:04.840
And as it becomes intolerable, the presence of the living God begins to settle on the one who has consecrated himself to God.

00:46:04.840 --> 00:46:09.840
And he says, now I have found a man who contradicts the age.

00:46:09.840 --> 00:46:15.840
And so with this man, this woman, I can change things.

00:46:15.840 --> 00:46:24.840
By God's help, I want to be that man. For his sake and for your sake.

00:46:24.840 --> 00:46:28.840
And I know that's a cry of your heart.

00:46:28.840 --> 00:46:31.840
But come tomorrow morning, will I be able to do this?

00:46:31.840 --> 00:46:35.840
Come tomorrow morning. If I'm not able to do this, will there be people to help me?

00:46:41.840 --> 00:46:45.840
Come on, Jacob. So what? You messed up. Get up again. Start.

00:46:49.840 --> 00:46:52.840
When our children need to excel in something, what do we do?

00:46:52.840 --> 00:47:00.840
We gather around. We create room for them. We make sure there are no disturbances.

00:47:00.840 --> 00:47:09.840
We do everything in our power to help our children get that A+, or conquer that mountain, or run that race.

00:47:09.840 --> 00:47:15.840
We do everything. Why? Because it's our desire to help them do that. We make everything conducive.

00:47:15.840 --> 00:47:30.840
So let me ramp it up a little more, and then we'll end.

00:47:30.840 --> 00:47:44.840
What if a place that some of us need to start with, some of us, or at least the ones that are leading others,

00:47:44.840 --> 00:47:49.840
we should at least start there. But really, it should start with all of us.

00:47:49.840 --> 00:47:56.840
I don't want to make that demarcation, but I certainly hope that you'll pray that, at least since he's the pastor of the church.

00:47:56.840 --> 00:47:58.840
I hope it happens to him.

00:47:58.840 --> 00:48:02.840
Ramp it up. How? Amos chapter 2, verse 11 says,

00:48:02.840 --> 00:48:10.840
Hey, can you, oh God, can you once again let the prophets and the Nazarites rise up and speak?

00:48:10.840 --> 00:48:13.840
Or something to that effect. Amos chapter 2, verse 11.

00:48:13.840 --> 00:48:28.840
And so, can we get to a place where, like it says in Acts 6, 4, all of us, or at least the ones who lead,

00:48:28.840 --> 00:48:45.840
can we decide that we will choose to have devoted, consecrated, extended, all three words are important, times of prayer.

00:48:45.840 --> 00:48:51.840
For ourselves, we don't even know how to do this.

00:48:51.840 --> 00:49:11.840
If that doesn't happen, then at some point in this church, faith, holiness, the ministry of the word, and fruitfulness will wither.

00:49:11.840 --> 00:49:28.840
It's a set-apart activity. This kind of prayer is a set-apart activity.

00:49:28.840 --> 00:49:35.840
It's not a, as I wash my dishes, let me pray activity.

00:49:35.840 --> 00:49:53.840
I'm not saying you can't do that, but it's a set-apart activity that can't be set aside for good things or needs.

00:49:53.840 --> 00:50:01.840
Now, I was just thinking of the dirks when, and I mentioned this last week too, when Matt had to finish his doctorate,

00:50:01.840 --> 00:50:10.840
I'm sure Rachel stepped up with three kids to help him when Anilay had to finish her doctorate, I'm sure.

00:50:10.840 --> 00:50:19.840
Tony stepped up and the food was terrible, but he still did it.

00:50:19.840 --> 00:50:30.840
So the point being that someone else may have to step up so that you can do it.

00:50:30.840 --> 00:50:39.840
And you see this in the Bible, if you turn to Mark chapter 135, it's such a cool scripture, Mark 135.

00:50:39.840 --> 00:50:44.840
If he needed it, why can't I understand I needed to?

00:50:44.840 --> 00:50:58.840
Mark 135, and rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

00:50:58.840 --> 00:51:08.840
Luke 516, Luke 516.

00:51:08.840 --> 00:51:13.840
But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray, but he would withdraw.

00:51:13.840 --> 00:51:23.840
Jesus often withdrew from the place where he was born, and he would withdraw from the place where he was born.

00:51:23.840 --> 00:51:27.840
He would go to desolate places and pray, but he would withdraw.

00:51:27.840 --> 00:51:31.840
Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

00:51:31.840 --> 00:51:44.840
There is a thing to going to lonely desolate places to pray, because there's nothing else that can disturb you, and you don't take your phone with you.

00:51:44.840 --> 00:51:48.840
You're not as lonely as long as you have Apple.

00:51:48.840 --> 00:51:56.840
That should be the new slogan, man.

00:51:56.840 --> 00:52:02.840
Don't take your phone with you.

00:52:02.840 --> 00:52:08.840
Luke 612.

00:52:08.840 --> 00:52:13.840
One of those days, Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and he spent the night praying to God.

00:52:13.840 --> 00:52:26.840
Why? Because the next day he had to make a momentous decision that would require that 12 people be chosen, out of which one would betray him anew, but 11 would change the world.

00:52:26.840 --> 00:52:29.840
So he spends an entire night praying.

00:52:29.840 --> 00:52:35.840
That's not how we work. We just sense the Lord.

00:52:35.840 --> 00:52:43.840
You may sense the Lord, but you may never know who Judas is and who John is in the end.

00:52:43.840 --> 00:52:49.840
So this requires something that is consecrated, devoted, dedicated.

00:52:49.840 --> 00:53:01.840
And then to that, when you add the sensing of the Lord, now you have the ability to go get a fish that has a coin in its mouth.

00:53:01.840 --> 00:53:06.840
You also have the ability to pick 11 people who can change the world.

00:53:06.840 --> 00:53:17.840
The last scripture is Luke 918.

00:53:17.840 --> 00:53:28.840
No, it's not 918. I wrote it down wrong.

00:53:28.840 --> 00:53:37.840
This is when he goes up to pray, and he goes off to pray.

00:53:37.840 --> 00:53:40.840
He sends him off and he goes off to pray. I can't find it.

00:53:40.840 --> 00:53:45.840
But to devote myself to prayer, I must do these three things.

00:53:45.840 --> 00:53:49.840
Preserve time.

00:53:49.840 --> 00:53:57.840
I must persist.

00:53:57.840 --> 00:54:02.840
I must remain with what I'm doing.

00:54:02.840 --> 00:54:06.840
So preserve time as in there is a set time.

00:54:06.840 --> 00:54:09.840
Preserve it. Do not let it be disturbed.

00:54:09.840 --> 00:54:14.840
I must persist with what I'm doing, and I must remain or abide.

00:54:14.840 --> 00:54:25.840
This requires effort. This requires rest. This requires diligence.

00:54:25.840 --> 00:54:30.840
You know, other faiths practice this.

00:54:30.840 --> 00:54:38.840
There's a certain leader who runs a relatively large country with a lot of responsibilities.

00:54:38.840 --> 00:54:47.840
And recently he had to inaugurate a certain religious institution in a certain nation.

00:54:47.840 --> 00:54:49.840
And so guess what he does?

00:54:49.840 --> 00:54:53.840
Three months before it, he starts preparing himself spiritually.

00:54:53.840 --> 00:54:58.840
And then 11 days before the actual event, he starts fasting.

00:54:58.840 --> 00:55:01.840
He goes through rites, goes through rituals. Why?

00:55:01.840 --> 00:55:10.840
Because this is a leader of a nation, like a president or a prime minister, and he prepares himself.

00:55:10.840 --> 00:55:15.840
Why? Because he believes that in this institution that he's going to inaugurate,

00:55:15.840 --> 00:55:20.840
the powers will come and begin to live there.

00:55:20.840 --> 00:55:30.840
And I'm thinking to myself, so some of us spent two hours praying that this does not happen, while he started in October.

00:55:30.840 --> 00:55:36.840
And you think to yourself, he starts in October and he then goes through 11-day fasts

00:55:36.840 --> 00:55:45.840
so that the powers of his gods can be invited into this physical structure.

00:55:45.840 --> 00:55:52.840
That kind of discipline, that kind of commitment, other faiths have it.

00:55:52.840 --> 00:55:57.840
We mock them, we laugh at what they do, but they do.

00:55:57.840 --> 00:56:04.840
And then you begin to wonder why power doesn't flow even though power is present.

00:56:04.840 --> 00:56:14.840
It's not the lack of the spirit, it's the flow of the spirit.

00:56:14.840 --> 00:56:26.840
The world has yet to see what God can do with a man who consecrates himself or a woman who consecrates himself to him.

00:56:26.840 --> 00:56:37.840
By God's help, may you be that man or woman.

00:56:37.840 --> 00:56:42.840
Only then will I triumph over the powers of darkness that resist.

00:56:42.840 --> 00:56:50.840
Only then do I have spiritual strength to witness to the works of God and to lay my life down for the works of God.

00:56:50.840 --> 00:56:55.840
Only then do I transmit the power that I've already received from the spirit.

00:56:55.840 --> 00:57:05.840
Only then will I see Hebrides 2.0 sweep the earth, starting from here to Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth, as we've been saying in the past.

00:57:05.840 --> 00:57:08.840
And so you and I are being invited.

00:57:08.840 --> 00:57:11.840
So today, how do we end? We'll have communion.

00:57:11.840 --> 00:57:24.840
But you and I are being, some of us are being invited, some of us are being stirred,

00:57:24.840 --> 00:57:53.840
some of us are persuaded to consecrate ourselves relationally, physically, in terms of a lifestyle, to Him.

00:57:53.840 --> 00:57:56.840
I want us to go back to those three questions.

00:57:56.840 --> 00:58:02.840
And after we answer that, we can break bread.

00:58:02.840 --> 00:58:22.840
What good thing is bringing decay, spiritual decay into your life?

00:58:22.840 --> 00:58:30.840
Sometimes it can even be a way of thinking or a desire that is so overwhelming that it now no longer is under your control.

00:58:30.840 --> 00:58:32.840
It controls you.

00:58:32.840 --> 00:58:42.840
Every time you go down a certain road, that desire or the absence of something that you've been hungering for so long is now front and center

00:58:42.840 --> 00:58:45.840
and prevents you from thinking any other way.

00:58:45.840 --> 00:58:48.840
And it's a good desire. It's not an evil desire.

00:58:48.840 --> 00:58:50.840
It's a good desire.

00:58:50.840 --> 00:58:54.840
That's the first question.

00:58:54.840 --> 00:59:02.840
Spiritual decay, another way to say it is spiritual death.

00:59:02.840 --> 00:59:05.840
What is causing death in your life spiritually?

00:59:05.840 --> 00:59:07.840
How do you define spiritual death?

00:59:07.840 --> 00:59:09.840
In other words, you use the stagnancy.

00:59:09.840 --> 00:59:11.840
Nothing has changed.

00:59:11.840 --> 00:59:15.840
Nothing has changed.

00:59:15.840 --> 00:59:23.840
Nothing has changed.

00:59:23.840 --> 00:59:28.840
Nothing has changed to the extent where now you're breaking out and have entered a new orbit.

00:59:28.840 --> 00:59:36.840
It's the same orbit with a few variations, like from jazz to R&B to pop.

00:59:36.840 --> 00:59:43.840
That's all. The words are still the same.

00:59:43.840 --> 00:59:49.840
The second question was, what distracts or hinders you?

00:59:49.840 --> 01:00:03.840
What distracts or hinders you from the person?

01:00:03.840 --> 01:00:13.840
You want to be. You want to be and know you should be.

01:00:13.840 --> 01:00:31.840
Third, what small things, small desires,

01:00:31.840 --> 01:00:41.840
small desires have a hold in your life?

01:00:41.840 --> 01:00:52.840
And often they lead you to compromise.

01:00:52.840 --> 01:00:59.840
What may begin as one small glass of wine ends up on some nights becoming three glasses of wine

01:00:59.840 --> 01:01:01.840
or three glasses of brandy or whiskey.

01:01:01.840 --> 01:01:07.840
Suddenly it goes from, I'm a moderate drinker to I have lost my moderation.

01:01:07.840 --> 01:01:13.840
And yet, please understand, God is not attacking sin here.

01:01:13.840 --> 01:01:15.840
That's for another teaching.

01:01:15.840 --> 01:01:19.840
Right now he's talking about things in our lives that are good.

01:01:19.840 --> 01:01:24.840
Please don't now say that Jacob is endorsing drinking. I'm not.

01:01:24.840 --> 01:01:28.840
I'm just saying these are the things that we need to look at.

01:01:28.840 --> 01:01:33.840
So I'll read these three things and just for a second ponder on what you can do about it.

01:01:33.840 --> 01:01:38.840
And then I'll read out John 17 and we'll break bread.

01:01:38.840 --> 01:01:49.840
Yeah? What is it?

01:01:49.840 --> 01:01:55.840
And if you think that you have arrived at answers to any of these questions

01:01:55.840 --> 01:02:01.840
and you want to stand up and say,

01:02:01.840 --> 01:02:07.840
I decide that from this day on for the next, whatever period of time,

01:02:07.840 --> 01:02:11.840
the kind of time that's required for hair to grow,

01:02:11.840 --> 01:02:16.840
for whatever period of time, I will not go down this route.

01:02:16.840 --> 01:02:21.840
For God's to be holy, to be set apart is so much more important to me.

01:02:21.840 --> 01:02:25.840
If you want to stand up and say that,

01:02:25.840 --> 01:02:29.840
and say by God's grace, by God's help, this is what I want to attempt,

01:02:29.840 --> 01:02:34.840
feel free to do that too.

01:02:59.840 --> 01:03:26.840
Okay?

01:03:26.840 --> 01:03:33.840
You won't be on live stream if you stand up and speak

01:03:33.840 --> 01:03:38.840
and you likely won't be heard, so feel free.

01:03:57.840 --> 01:04:02.840
Yeah. Marco, you'll have to, I'm just helping each of us, it's not correcting you.

01:04:02.840 --> 01:04:06.840
You'll have to find a concrete way of doing it.

01:04:06.840 --> 01:04:09.840
Because otherwise tomorrow you won't know where to begin.

01:04:09.840 --> 01:04:12.840
So you'll have to find a concrete way of doing it.

01:04:12.840 --> 01:04:17.840
Okay, so think about that one.

01:04:42.840 --> 01:04:46.840
If you can't speak it out, that's fine, just write it down, eh?

01:05:12.840 --> 01:05:37.840
Anyone?

01:05:38.840 --> 01:05:43.840
Sorry, can you say that again, Brandon?

01:05:43.840 --> 01:05:46.840
Doing nothing, yeah.

01:05:46.840 --> 01:05:51.840
Aaron, just give us a couple of minutes till people finish and then you can speak, okay?

01:05:51.840 --> 01:05:55.840
Thanks.

01:05:55.840 --> 01:06:00.840
Anyone else?

01:06:12.840 --> 01:06:20.840
Unless it's an actual phone call, I will not pick up my phone between 7.30 and 9.30 in the morning

01:06:20.840 --> 01:06:24.840
to look at my mail or WhatsApp till 9.30.

01:06:24.840 --> 01:06:35.840
I also will not, or I go completely off Facebook, Twitter, and what's that other thing?

01:06:35.840 --> 01:06:39.840
Instagram for the next seven months.

01:06:39.840 --> 01:06:44.840
For the next seven months I will not pick up my phone between 7.30 and 9.30

01:06:44.840 --> 01:06:46.840
unless it's a phone call.

01:06:46.840 --> 01:06:55.840
And I will not any longer check on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram for the next seven months

01:06:55.840 --> 01:06:59.840
and I will not watch news after 11pm.

01:06:59.840 --> 01:07:01.840
Will not.

01:07:01.840 --> 01:07:04.840
I do that for two simple reasons.

01:07:04.840 --> 01:07:08.840
One, because I'm going to consecrate myself in these areas to the Lord

01:07:08.840 --> 01:07:12.840
by doing something practical in smaller things, smaller desires.

01:07:12.840 --> 01:07:16.840
Not harmful, but time consuming.

01:07:16.840 --> 01:07:21.840
Refuse to go down that road, both for his sake and for your sake.

01:07:31.840 --> 01:07:35.840
Anyone else?

01:07:42.840 --> 01:07:46.840
Beautiful.

01:08:00.840 --> 01:08:04.840
Anyone else?

01:08:04.840 --> 01:08:08.840
Amen.

01:08:11.840 --> 01:08:15.840
Simple, small things.

01:08:22.840 --> 01:08:25.840
Father, I used to fast.

01:08:25.840 --> 01:08:30.840
It's been ages since I've taken up a deliberate fast because I just eat one meal a day anyways.

01:08:30.840 --> 01:08:32.840
And so I've used that as an excuse.

01:08:32.840 --> 01:08:37.840
So I return to fasting one day a week.

01:08:37.840 --> 01:08:41.840
Looking forward to it, Father.

01:08:41.840 --> 01:08:45.840
Return to fasting one day a week.

01:08:45.840 --> 01:08:49.840
Nobody will know which day.

01:08:49.840 --> 01:08:53.840
Because that's how you want fast.

01:09:00.840 --> 01:09:04.840
Doordash is going to lose money, Father.

01:09:06.840 --> 01:09:10.840
Anyone else?

01:09:21.840 --> 01:09:24.840
Yeah.

01:09:24.840 --> 01:09:28.840
The amount of time we waste, eh?

01:09:30.840 --> 01:09:34.840
Yeah.

01:09:42.840 --> 01:09:48.840
Father, we want to replace the time we redeem with you.

01:09:48.840 --> 01:09:52.840
And with what you direct us to do.

01:09:52.840 --> 01:09:56.840
This is not to get more brownie points.

01:09:56.840 --> 01:10:00.840
It doesn't make us more righteous.

01:10:00.840 --> 01:10:04.840
But it sets us apart for you.

01:10:04.840 --> 01:10:08.840
Doesn't make you love us more, doesn't make us more righteous.

01:10:11.840 --> 01:10:15.840
Anyone else? Let's just wait for two more minutes.

01:10:15.840 --> 01:10:19.840
Just two more minutes.

01:10:26.840 --> 01:10:30.840
Good, Betty.

01:10:30.840 --> 01:10:34.840
Good, Betty.

01:10:53.840 --> 01:10:57.840
Thanks, Anna.

01:11:00.840 --> 01:11:04.840
Thanks, Father.

01:11:04.840 --> 01:11:08.840
I'll use my hand right here.

01:11:24.840 --> 01:11:28.840
So they commit to a time, eh?

01:11:28.840 --> 01:11:32.840
Set yourself a time, guys. I'm not saying repeat your prayers.

01:11:32.840 --> 01:11:36.840
Set yourself a time. Time breaks habits. Time creates habits.

01:11:40.840 --> 01:11:44.840
Just one more minute. 6.35 we stop.

01:11:54.840 --> 01:11:58.840
You're not saying it doesn't mean your heart doesn't desire it, eh?

01:11:58.840 --> 01:12:02.840
You're saying it just perhaps emboldens others. That's all.

01:12:02.840 --> 01:12:06.840
You're saying it just perhaps emboldens others. That's all.

01:12:06.840 --> 01:12:10.840
I'm not knowing this. I had already started these things.

01:12:10.840 --> 01:12:14.840
I'm not the person that gave you.

01:12:14.840 --> 01:12:18.840
There's no condemnation in this message. There's no legalism in this message, guys.

01:12:18.840 --> 01:12:22.840
There's an invitation that's stirring up.

01:12:22.840 --> 01:12:26.840
Any takers? Last two?

01:12:26.840 --> 01:12:30.840
Last two?

01:12:34.840 --> 01:12:38.840
As we break bread,

01:12:38.840 --> 01:12:42.840
let me read a passage from John 17.

01:12:46.840 --> 01:12:50.840
From the message.

01:12:50.840 --> 01:12:54.840
It says there, and Jesus is saying these words,

01:12:54.840 --> 01:12:58.840
I gave them your word. The godless world hates them

01:12:58.840 --> 01:13:02.840
because of it. Because they don't join the world's ways

01:13:02.840 --> 01:13:06.840
just as I didn't join the world's ways.

01:13:06.840 --> 01:13:10.840
I'm not asking that you take them out of the world, but that you

01:13:10.840 --> 01:13:14.840
guard them from the evil one. They are no more defined by the

01:13:14.840 --> 01:13:18.840
world than I am defined by the world. Make them holy,

01:13:18.840 --> 01:13:22.840
consecrated with the truth. Your word is consecrating truth.

01:13:22.840 --> 01:13:26.840
In the same way that you gave me a mission in the world, I give them a mission

01:13:26.840 --> 01:13:30.840
in the world. I'm consecrating myself for their sake

01:13:30.840 --> 01:13:34.840
so that they'll be truth-consecrated in their mission.

01:13:34.840 --> 01:13:38.840
I gave them your word. The godless world hates them

01:13:38.840 --> 01:13:42.840
because of it. Because they didn't join the world's ways

01:13:42.840 --> 01:13:46.840
just as I didn't join the world's ways. I'm not asking that you take them out of

01:13:46.840 --> 01:13:50.840
the world, but that you guard them from the evil one.

01:13:50.840 --> 01:13:54.840
The godless world hates them because of it. Because they don't join the world's ways

01:13:54.840 --> 01:13:58.840
just as I didn't join the world's ways. I gave them your word.

01:13:58.840 --> 01:14:02.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:02.840 --> 01:14:06.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:06.840 --> 01:14:10.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:10.840 --> 01:14:14.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:14.840 --> 01:14:18.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:18.840 --> 01:14:22.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:22.840 --> 01:14:26.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:26.840 --> 01:14:30.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:30.840 --> 01:14:34.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:34.840 --> 01:14:38.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:38.840 --> 01:14:42.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:42.840 --> 01:14:46.840
I gave them your word. I gave them your word.

01:14:46.840 --> 01:14:50.840
I recognize this is the family that you have put us in and we belong here

01:14:50.840 --> 01:14:54.840
despite the family being highly defective.

01:14:54.840 --> 01:14:58.840
But you still have put us here.

01:14:58.840 --> 01:15:02.840
We approach this table with faith, O God. With faith we approach it.

01:15:02.840 --> 01:15:06.840
Church, as we drink this, we are not remembering. We are remembering

01:15:06.840 --> 01:15:10.840
with faith. Yeah? We don't commemorate

01:15:10.840 --> 01:15:14.840
something to just remember. This is not nostalgia.

01:15:14.840 --> 01:15:18.840
This is with faith.

01:15:18.840 --> 01:15:22.840
So once you get the elements,

01:15:22.840 --> 01:15:26.840
we'll eat and drink together.

01:15:38.840 --> 01:15:42.840
Yaya, can I have one?

01:15:42.840 --> 01:15:46.840
Mia? Okay, thanks. Thank you.

01:15:46.840 --> 01:15:50.840
You are

01:15:50.840 --> 01:15:54.840
here

01:15:54.840 --> 01:15:58.840
Standing in our

01:15:58.840 --> 01:16:02.840
midst

01:16:02.840 --> 01:16:06.840
You are here

01:16:06.840 --> 01:16:10.840
Standing in our midst

01:16:10.840 --> 01:16:14.840
You are here

01:16:14.840 --> 01:16:18.840
Standing in our midst

01:16:18.840 --> 01:16:22.840
We worship you

01:16:22.840 --> 01:16:26.840
We worship you

01:16:26.840 --> 01:16:30.840
You are here

01:16:30.840 --> 01:16:34.840
Turning lives around

01:16:34.840 --> 01:16:38.840
We worship you

01:16:38.840 --> 01:16:42.840
We worship you

01:16:42.840 --> 01:16:46.840
We worship you

01:16:46.840 --> 01:16:50.840
Moving in our midst

01:16:50.840 --> 01:16:54.840
We worship you

01:16:54.840 --> 01:16:58.840
We worship you

01:16:58.840 --> 01:17:02.840
You are here

01:17:02.840 --> 01:17:06.840
Turning lives around

01:17:06.840 --> 01:17:10.840
We worship you

01:17:10.840 --> 01:17:14.840
Thanks, man.

01:17:14.840 --> 01:17:18.840
On the night that he was betrayed,

01:17:18.840 --> 01:17:22.840
everyone got bread and juice?

01:17:22.840 --> 01:17:26.840
Okay.

01:17:26.840 --> 01:17:30.840
Nick, you got yours? Okay.

01:17:40.840 --> 01:17:44.840
What's that song that goes,

01:17:44.840 --> 01:17:48.840
consecrated Lord to thee

01:17:48.840 --> 01:17:52.840
Take my...

01:17:52.840 --> 01:17:56.840
Oh my God, such a hymn-illiterate church this is.

01:17:56.840 --> 01:18:00.840
Okay. On the night

01:18:00.840 --> 01:18:04.840
he was betrayed, Jesus took bread, he broke it,

01:18:04.840 --> 01:18:08.840
he gave thanks, then he broke it, and he said,

01:18:08.840 --> 01:18:12.840
I have set myself apart

01:18:12.840 --> 01:18:16.840
for you

01:18:16.840 --> 01:18:20.840
even unto death.

01:18:20.840 --> 01:18:24.840
Eat this bread,

01:18:24.840 --> 01:18:28.840
eat my flesh and drink my blood, he said in John chapter 6.

01:18:28.840 --> 01:18:32.840
I have set myself apart for just

01:18:32.840 --> 01:18:36.840
one task, to die for you, to live in you.

01:18:36.840 --> 01:18:40.840
And through you to continue

01:18:40.840 --> 01:18:44.840
do, through you continue do what I always

01:18:44.840 --> 01:18:48.840
want to finish doing. I've set myself apart for this. I consecrated

01:18:48.840 --> 01:18:52.840
myself apart.

01:18:56.840 --> 01:19:00.840
He took bread, he gave thanks, and he said, this is my body which

01:19:00.840 --> 01:19:04.840
is broken for you.

01:19:04.840 --> 01:19:08.840
So that you may accrue to yourselves the benefits of

01:19:08.840 --> 01:19:12.840
my death, that you may know my father, that you may know your sins

01:19:12.840 --> 01:19:16.840
are always forgiven, you may know you will never be left alone.

01:19:16.840 --> 01:19:20.840
We remember that with faith as we eat this now, in Jesus'

01:19:20.840 --> 01:19:24.840
name, amen.

01:19:34.840 --> 01:19:38.840
In the same manner after

01:19:38.840 --> 01:19:42.840
supper, he took the cup, he gave thanks, and he said,

01:19:42.840 --> 01:19:46.840
this is my blood with which I write a new agreement with you.

01:19:46.840 --> 01:19:50.840
This is my blood with which, um, um,

01:19:50.840 --> 01:19:54.840
what's your name? Iris, keep her in, let her cry,

01:19:54.840 --> 01:19:58.840
we're okay.

01:19:58.840 --> 01:20:02.840
So, he took the cup, he gave thanks, and he said,

01:20:02.840 --> 01:20:06.840
keep her in, let her cry, we're okay.

01:20:06.840 --> 01:20:10.840
I want you to be part of this.

01:20:10.840 --> 01:20:14.840
He gave thanks and he said, this is my

01:20:14.840 --> 01:20:18.840
blood with which I write a new agreement with you.

01:20:18.840 --> 01:20:22.840
So we raise our glasses to you Jesus.

01:20:22.840 --> 01:20:26.840
We thank you for this new agreement that has made our lives completely different

01:20:26.840 --> 01:20:30.840
and rich. We honor you, we declare you magnificent,

01:20:30.840 --> 01:20:34.840
marvelous, splendid majesty. How we come to

01:20:34.840 --> 01:20:38.840
freshly give you our lives that have been

01:20:38.840 --> 01:20:42.840
purchased with your blood, in Jesus' name, amen.

01:20:54.840 --> 01:20:58.840
There will be an AGM, which I

01:20:58.840 --> 01:21:02.840
forgot to announce earlier, on 17th of March.

01:21:02.840 --> 01:21:06.840
Can Evan and Betty come up?

01:21:10.840 --> 01:21:14.840
These guys are heading off to Belfast on Wednesday

01:21:14.840 --> 01:21:18.840
or Tuesday? Wednesday. So,

01:21:18.840 --> 01:21:22.840
Caleb from Belfast,

01:21:22.840 --> 01:21:26.840
will be hosting them and they're meeting with four or five others and

01:21:26.840 --> 01:21:30.840
my hope is that one day we'll be able to

01:21:30.840 --> 01:21:34.840
plant something fresh in Belfast. But this is our first foray into Belfast

01:21:34.840 --> 01:21:38.840
where we're sending out people two by two to see what can be done there.

01:21:38.840 --> 01:21:42.840
And so we got four or five uni students that

01:21:42.840 --> 01:21:46.840
they'll be meeting with and kind of

01:21:46.840 --> 01:21:50.840
try and fathom what needs to be done in Belfast next. So, they're leaving Wednesday,

01:21:50.840 --> 01:21:54.840
they'll be back Monday or Tuesday. Yeah? So let's just pray for them.

01:21:54.840 --> 01:21:58.840
So Father, in Jesus' name we thank you for this

01:21:58.840 --> 01:22:02.840
simple precedent that you established where before you went somewhere you would send out

01:22:02.840 --> 01:22:06.840
your disciples two by two to go prepare.

01:22:06.840 --> 01:22:10.840
To go prepare the way of the Lord. To go prepare the way of the Lord.

01:22:10.840 --> 01:22:14.840
So we send them, not in the name of Betty and Evan,

01:22:14.840 --> 01:22:18.840
we send them in the name of Jesus Christ, the sender.

01:22:18.840 --> 01:22:22.840
And in doing so we ask Father that your authority,

01:22:22.840 --> 01:22:26.840
your immunity, your protection be upon them

01:22:26.840 --> 01:22:30.840
as they go. That you will give them wise, gentle words.

01:22:30.840 --> 01:22:34.840
That'll be like rain and spring as they

01:22:34.840 --> 01:22:38.840
draw out what they need to draw out

01:22:38.840 --> 01:22:42.840
in Belfast. That they'll plough the ground so that

01:22:42.840 --> 01:22:46.840
when the seeding will happen a few months from now, once again

01:22:46.840 --> 01:22:50.840
crops will come up. That, just like you did with us sixteen, seventeen years ago,

01:22:50.840 --> 01:22:54.840
you will do in Belfast again with us Father. So we bless them as they go.

01:22:54.840 --> 01:22:58.840
It's a big deal about we going first time into this

01:22:58.840 --> 01:23:02.840
particular nation. We've been to Dublin before but this particular city.

01:23:02.840 --> 01:23:06.840
So we bless them as they go. We send them forth in the name of Jesus Christ.

01:23:06.840 --> 01:23:10.840
Amen.

01:23:10.840 --> 01:23:14.840
What's the song?

01:23:14.840 --> 01:23:18.840
Blessed is sure in Jesus'

01:23:18.840 --> 01:23:22.840
name, blessed is mine.

01:23:22.840 --> 01:23:24.840
Oh what a

01:23:24.840 --> 01:23:28.840
foretaste of glory

01:23:28.840 --> 01:23:32.840
divine. I'm an heir of salvation

01:23:32.840 --> 01:23:36.840
and purchase of

01:23:36.840 --> 01:23:40.840
God. Born of his

01:23:40.840 --> 01:23:44.840
spirit, washed in his

01:23:44.840 --> 01:23:48.840
spirit. One more time.

01:23:48.840 --> 01:23:52.840
Blessed assurance

01:23:52.840 --> 01:23:56.840
Jesus is mine.

01:23:56.840 --> 01:24:00.840
Oh what a foretaste

01:24:00.840 --> 01:24:04.840
of glory divine.

01:24:04.840 --> 01:24:08.840
Heir of salvation, I'm a

01:24:08.840 --> 01:24:12.840
purchase of God.

01:24:12.840 --> 01:24:16.840
Born of his spirit, washed in his

01:24:16.840 --> 01:24:20.840
blood. This is my

01:24:20.840 --> 01:24:24.840
story, this is my

01:24:24.840 --> 01:24:28.840
song. Praising my

01:24:28.840 --> 01:24:32.840
Savior all the day long.

01:24:32.840 --> 01:24:36.840
This is my

01:24:36.840 --> 01:24:40.840
story, this is my song.

01:24:40.840 --> 01:24:44.840
Praising my Savior

01:24:44.840 --> 01:24:48.840
all the day long.

01:24:48.840 --> 01:24:52.840
There will be people here to pray for you. So feel free to come up

01:24:52.840 --> 01:24:56.840
if you need prayer and then we can end with

01:24:56.840 --> 01:25:00.840
I have decided to follow

01:25:00.840 --> 01:25:04.840
Jesus. I have decided

01:25:04.840 --> 01:25:08.840
to follow Jesus.

01:25:08.840 --> 01:25:12.840
I have decided

01:25:12.840 --> 01:25:16.840
to follow Jesus.

01:25:16.840 --> 01:25:20.840
No turning back, no turning

01:25:20.840 --> 01:25:24.840
back. Though none go with

01:25:24.840 --> 01:25:28.840
me, still I will follow.

01:25:28.840 --> 01:25:32.840
Though none go with me,

01:25:32.840 --> 01:25:36.840
still I will follow.

01:25:36.840 --> 01:25:40.840
No turning back,

01:25:40.840 --> 01:25:44.840
no turning back. The cross, the cross

01:25:44.840 --> 01:25:48.840
before me, the world behind

01:25:48.840 --> 01:25:52.840
me, the cross before me,

01:25:52.840 --> 01:25:56.840
the world behind me,

01:25:56.840 --> 01:26:00.840
the cross before me,

01:26:00.840 --> 01:26:04.840
the world behind me,

01:26:04.840 --> 01:26:08.840
the world behind me,

01:26:08.840 --> 01:26:12.840
no turning back, no turning

01:26:12.840 --> 01:26:16.840
back. I have decided

01:26:16.840 --> 01:26:20.840
to follow Jesus.

01:26:20.840 --> 01:26:24.840
I have decided

01:26:24.840 --> 01:26:28.840
to follow Jesus. I have

01:26:28.840 --> 01:26:32.840
decided to follow Jesus.

01:26:32.840 --> 01:26:36.840
No turning back,

01:26:36.840 --> 01:26:40.840
no turning back.

01:26:40.840 --> 01:26:44.840
No turning back,

01:26:44.840 --> 01:26:48.840
no turning back.

01:26:48.840 --> 01:26:52.840
No turning.

01:26:56.840 --> 01:27:00.840
Make sure you say hi and bye

01:27:00.840 --> 01:27:04.840
to Mary, Steve

01:27:04.840 --> 01:27:08.840
and Jeff. They're all sitting in the wrong places now.

01:27:08.840 --> 01:27:12.840
And if you need prayer

01:27:12.840 --> 01:27:16.840
feel free to come up and someone will pray with you.

01:27:16.840 --> 01:27:20.840
Bless you guys.
