On the last day of the feast of the tabernacles, 00:10:54.300 --> 00:10:56.300 here's what had happened and some of you know this. 00:10:56.300 --> 00:11:01.500 There would be a priest who would head a procession and they would go to Siloam, which was 00:11:03.100 --> 00:11:12.300 a little pond and they would scoop water or a Siloam and they would come to the altar in the temple and they would be singing songs from Psalm 113 to Psalm 118. 00:11:13.100 --> 00:11:21.500 And at some point when they would sing Psalm 118 verse 25 and 26 where it says, oh god, would you now bring prosperity upon your people? 00:11:21.500 --> 00:11:29.500 Would you bless Israel? As they sang that, the priest would empty the water from the pool of Siloam onto the altar and the other 00:11:30.300 --> 00:11:36.700 rest of the people in the procession would be waving the very branches that would be used to build these booths. And this was on the seventh day. 00:11:36.700 --> 00:11:38.700 And it is at that moment, go ahead. 00:11:40.700 --> 00:11:48.700 Psalm 113 to Psalm 118 and at Psalm 118 verse 25 and 26 when the priest would sing that or speak that, that's when water would come out. 00:11:48.700 --> 00:11:54.700 And it is at that point where they were saying, oh god, bless Israel. Let your blessing descend. 00:11:54.700 --> 00:12:00.700 And at that point when he's pouring out water, that this lone magnificent figure who we know as Christ today is standing and watching. 00:12:00.700 --> 00:12:08.700 And there's this cry that comes out from the corner of the temple and he says, come to me all that. No, out of you shall flow. 00:12:08.700 --> 00:12:16.700 John 737 to 39. John 737 to 39. What does it say? I read it this morning. 00:12:16.700 --> 00:12:24.700 Yeah, John 737 to 39. On the last day of the feast, which day are we talking about? We are talking about the feast of tabernacles. 00:12:24.700 --> 00:12:32.700 On the last day of the feast, the great day, the great day, Jesus stood up and he didn't whisper. 00:12:33.700 --> 00:12:39.700 He didn't say it matter of factly. He cried out, eh? Because he knows what this feast means. 00:12:39.700 --> 00:12:45.700 He knows what this feast means for the rest of eternity. This is a momentous occasion, guys. 00:12:45.700 --> 00:12:53.700 It's almost as momentous an occasion as when he said to Peter, on this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 00:12:53.700 --> 00:13:01.700 It's that kind of an occasion where on the last day of the feast, Jesus stood up and he cried out, eh? 00:13:01.700 --> 00:13:09.700 On the last day of the feast, as the water was being poured, Jesus cries out and he cries out and he says that if anyone thirsts, 00:13:09.700 --> 00:13:16.700 and the water has just been poured out and he cries out saying, if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 00:13:16.700 --> 00:13:25.700 Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. 00:13:25.700 --> 00:13:32.700 Here they are pouring water from Siloam and he's talking about rivers of living water beginning to issue from you and I. 00:13:32.700 --> 00:13:40.700 And then it goes on to say, and now this he said about the spirit whom those who believed in him were to receive, 00:13:40.700 --> 00:13:45.700 for as yet the spirit had not yet been given because Jesus was not yet glorified. 00:13:45.700 --> 00:13:52.700 Guys, what Jesus was basically saying was, listen, I'm declaring in what I'm crying out right now, 00:13:52.700 --> 00:13:56.700 my intent to tabernacle in man. 00:13:56.700 --> 00:13:59.700 Feast of Tabernacles, what did it represent? 00:13:59.700 --> 00:14:04.700 It represented the presence of God dwelling in the midst of a people in hostile terrain. 00:14:04.700 --> 00:14:06.700 And what is Jesus saying? 00:14:06.700 --> 00:14:11.700 In this world you will have trials, but do not be troubled for I have overcome the world. 00:14:11.700 --> 00:14:20.700 And that isn't enough Jacob, I want you to know now my intent to tabernacle in you and in the midst of a people. 00:14:20.700 --> 00:14:25.700 At the feast of the tabernacles he's screaming this out, shouting this out and saying, 00:14:25.700 --> 00:14:28.700 out of you shall flow rivers of living water. 00:14:28.700 --> 00:14:33.700 The spirit of God who created everything shall dwell in you to such an extent. 00:14:33.700 --> 00:14:38.700 Which is kind of what I'm assuming Marcus was indicating when he says, 00:14:38.700 --> 00:14:41.700 we have all that we need inside us. 00:14:41.700 --> 00:14:45.700 That's him who dwells in us now will pour out of us like living water. 00:14:45.700 --> 00:14:47.700 What is Christ shouting there? 00:14:47.700 --> 00:14:51.700 He's saying Jacob I have decided to tabernacle in you. 00:14:51.700 --> 00:14:53.700 I have decided to tabernacle in a people. 00:14:53.700 --> 00:14:56.700 This is the culmination of the feast of tabernacles. 00:14:56.700 --> 00:15:04.700 No more temporary booths because I have come to reside permanently, permanently in you and in a people. 00:15:04.700 --> 00:15:07.700 This is the magnificence of this occasion. 00:15:07.700 --> 00:15:10.700 Speaking of a time to come which we are in. 00:15:10.700 --> 00:15:12.700 Hey Travis. 00:15:19.700 --> 00:15:22.700 Jesus was saying I'm the great Hosanna. 00:15:22.700 --> 00:15:26.700 This is another time when Hosannas would be shouted and he was saying I'm the great Hosanna. 00:15:26.700 --> 00:15:27.700 What does Hosanna mean? 00:15:27.700 --> 00:15:30.700 Hosanna means one who comes to save and redeem. 00:15:30.700 --> 00:15:31.700 I'm the great Hosanna. 00:15:31.700 --> 00:15:32.700 I'm your Messiah. 00:15:32.700 --> 00:15:34.700 I am here to give you the Holy Spirit. 00:15:34.700 --> 00:15:35.700 You will never thirst anymore. 00:15:35.700 --> 00:15:39.700 If you recognize me as the one who God has sent to tabernacle in you. 00:15:39.700 --> 00:15:43.700 You're going pulling out water from a pool called Siloam which means sent. 00:15:43.700 --> 00:15:45.700 Hey that represents me. 00:15:45.700 --> 00:15:47.700 I am the sent one. 00:15:47.700 --> 00:15:50.700 You don't have to go to a pool called Siloam. 00:15:50.700 --> 00:15:54.700 The sent pool to pull out water anymore because I am the sent one. 00:15:54.700 --> 00:15:58.700 I am the Messiah, the anointed prince, the son of God. 00:15:58.700 --> 00:16:02.700 And I come to tabernacle in you so that you can go to the Holy Spirit. 00:16:02.700 --> 00:16:04.700 I am the anointed prince, the son of God. 00:16:04.700 --> 00:16:07.700 And I come to tabernacle in you so that water will come out of you naturally. 00:16:07.700 --> 00:16:09.700 No one will have to go scoop it out for you anymore. 00:16:09.700 --> 00:16:13.700 It will be in you and it will begin to flow because it's inexhaustible and it just keeps flowing. 00:16:13.700 --> 00:16:15.700 I have come to tabernacle. 00:16:15.700 --> 00:16:18.700 This is the culmination of the feast of tabernacles. 00:16:18.700 --> 00:16:23.700 Everything that God does is so highly logical. 00:16:23.700 --> 00:16:28.700 Highly logical and yet highly illogical. 00:16:28.700 --> 00:16:32.700 And they exist in tension, not as contradictions. 00:16:36.700 --> 00:16:37.700 Gosh! 00:16:37.700 --> 00:16:41.700 Guys, understanding the depth of God's tabernacling in you. 00:16:41.700 --> 00:16:47.700 God's tabernacling, another word for God's tabernacling is God's tenting or God's dwelling. 00:16:47.700 --> 00:16:50.700 That's what the word tabernacle means. 00:16:50.700 --> 00:16:56.700 Many churches had to change their names from Pentecostal tabernacle to Pentecostal church 00:16:56.700 --> 00:17:00.700 because people have forgotten what the word tabernacle means. 00:17:00.700 --> 00:17:05.700 It's a cool word but another word for it is tenting or dwelling. 00:17:05.700 --> 00:17:13.700 And so if you understand the depth, and I don't claim to but I'm trying to, 00:17:13.700 --> 00:17:18.700 of God tabernacling in you, it will shift the way you think. 00:17:18.700 --> 00:17:21.700 Where we will begin to move from, in a sense, 00:17:21.700 --> 00:17:24.700 guys in a sense Jesus does not give me healing and life. 00:17:24.700 --> 00:17:28.700 He is healing and life that is resident in me. 00:17:28.700 --> 00:17:31.700 Just little shifts like that will happen. 00:17:31.700 --> 00:17:33.700 And remember I said this before and I say it again. 00:17:33.700 --> 00:17:40.700 You cannot practice a truth till you inhabit it continuously in your thinking. 00:17:40.700 --> 00:17:45.700 You cannot practice a truth till you inhabit the truth in your thinking. 00:17:45.700 --> 00:17:50.700 As in, till you take your thoughts and plonk yourself in that truth saying, 00:17:50.700 --> 00:17:53.700 this is where I will sit and this is how I will think, 00:17:53.700 --> 00:17:56.700 then you begin to inhabit that truth. 00:17:56.700 --> 00:17:59.700 You cannot otherwise do it. 00:17:59.700 --> 00:18:04.700 So this whole idea of, Father, what does it mean to move even from, 00:18:04.700 --> 00:18:09.700 you are not someone who gives me life, you are the life that is resident in me. 00:18:09.700 --> 00:18:14.700 You are not someone who gives me healing, you are the healing that is resident in me. 00:18:14.700 --> 00:18:19.700 I don't even know the length and the breadth and the height and the depth of it 00:18:19.700 --> 00:18:21.700 but I know it's a reality. 00:18:21.700 --> 00:18:24.700 Until I begin to inhabit this place in my thinking, 00:18:24.700 --> 00:18:27.700 I will never inhabit the truth itself. 00:18:27.700 --> 00:18:31.700 Why didn't people believe that the world was round? 00:33:43.700 What can I do to bring them into self and flailing? 00:33:44.700 --> 00:33:45.700 What can I do? 00:33:45.700 --> 00:33:51.700 What storm can I send that will cause them to ignore the one that lives in their boat? 00:33:52.700 --> 00:33:57.700 And if I can do that, I can have them for a while and wreak havoc in their lives. 00:33:57.700 --> 00:34:01.700 And make them feel lousy at the end of the day. 00:34:05.700 --> 00:34:12.700 A man of rest has the capacity to resolve internal conflicts quickly. 00:34:13.700 --> 00:34:16.700 A man of rest, this is how you test it guys.
