00:03:14.240 Jesus Christ said he came to give life abundant not to steal, kill and destroy. 00:03:14.240 --> 00:03:18.500 And every day I start, I will start from this end point that my God is part of the verse it says, he wept and made supplication unto him. 00:24:50.140 --> 00:24:53.340 And then it goes on to say, he found him in Bethel. 00:24:53.340 --> 00:24:57.980 But we're talking about Jacob at Jabok and suddenly the verse switches to, he found him 00:24:57.980 --> 00:24:58.980 at Bethel. 00:24:58.980 --> 00:25:01.940 That happened in Genesis 28, not in 32. 00:25:01.940 --> 00:25:06.880 And there he spoke with us, the Lord, the God of hosts. 00:25:06.880 --> 00:25:08.980 So those are the verses we'll examine. 00:25:08.980 --> 00:25:15.220 So this is the third part of the series and by his strength he had power with God. 00:25:15.220 --> 00:25:17.420 By his strength he had power with God. 00:25:17.420 --> 00:25:23.140 So let me set the scene up that we've been following over the last two days. 00:25:23.140 --> 00:25:24.900 Jacob is distressed. 00:25:24.900 --> 00:25:27.420 Jacob is fearful of Esau. 00:25:27.420 --> 00:25:32.180 Jacob is fearful for what might happen to his family because Esau has 400 men coming 00:25:32.180 --> 00:25:33.180 with him. 00:25:33.380 --> 00:25:39.460 And Jacob reminds God of the promises that God had given him at Bethel where he saw that 00:25:39.460 --> 00:25:41.540 stairway going into heaven. 00:25:41.540 --> 00:25:45.140 He reminds God of those promises. 00:25:45.140 --> 00:25:52.180 And he's alone at Jabok having sent his wife and his property ahead of him. 00:25:52.180 --> 00:25:57.500 He's alone at Jabok and in the middle of the night the angel of God comes, only the angel 00:25:57.500 --> 00:25:59.540 of God comes to fight him. 00:25:59.540 --> 00:26:02.460 That's the scene, that's the setup. 00:26:02.740 --> 00:26:11.540 And even though he's at the bottom of a dark river gorge at midnight, Jacob sees
