Numbers 1424. 00:00:20.000 --> 00:00:22.000 Numbers 1424. 00:00:22.000 --> 00:00:24.000 I gave him what he said. 00:00:24.000 --> 00:00:26.000 He said the numbers 1424 that 00:00:26.000 --> 00:00:28.000 he doesn't say what I expected to say. 00:00:28.000 --> 00:00:30.000 No, I just say that. 00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:32.000 But because my servant Caleb has a different spirit 00:00:32.000 --> 00:00:34.000 and follows me wholeheartedly, 00:00:34.000 --> 00:00:36.000 I will bring him into the land he went to 00:00:36.000 --> 00:00:38.000 and his descendants will inherit him. 00:00:38.000 --> 00:00:40.000 So there is this idea that God has 00:00:40.000 --> 00:00:42.000 of his people and then 00:00:42.000 --> 00:00:44.000 amongst his people he expects a different spirit 00:00:44.000 --> 00:00:46.000 and not everybody gets there, right? 00:00:46.000 --> 00:00:48.000 That's the sad part. 00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:50.000 There are different kinds of spirits 00:00:50.000 --> 00:00:52.000 that are different from each other. 00:00:52.000 --> 00:00:54.000 There are different kinds of spirits 00:00:54.000 --> 00:00:56.000 that are different from each other. 00:00:56.000 --> 00:00:58.000 There are things God desires in his heart 00:00:58.000 --> 00:01:00.000 that he doesn't get from us. 00:01:00.000 --> 00:01:02.000 That's a shame because he deserves the best. 00:01:02.000 --> 00:01:04.000 There was a song 00:01:04.000 --> 00:01:06.000 that this guy 00:01:06.000 --> 00:01:08.000 in India was singing 00:01:08.000 --> 00:01:10.000 and in Hindi there's this word 00:01:10.000 --> 00:01:12.000 which says abhari. 00:01:12.000 --> 00:01:14.000 Abhari means I owe you. 00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:16.000 And the song basically says 00:01:16.000 --> 00:01:18.000 I owe you, oh God. 00:01:18.000 --> 00:01:20.000 While he was singing I was saying to myself, 00:01:20.000 --> 00:01:22.000 Father, I am so glad that I owe you for the rest of my life. 00:01:22.000 --> 00:01:24.000 Hey, can I have some more water more please? 00:01:24.000 --> 00:01:26.000 I'm so glad that I owe you 00:01:26.000 --> 00:01:28.000 for the rest of my life. 00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:30.000 I'm so glad that I owe you. 00:01:30.000 --> 00:01:32.000 There will never be a time where I can 00:01:32.000 --> 00:01:34.000 pay you for what I owe you. 00:01:34.000 --> 00:01:36.000 It will be a debt that will be outstanding 00:01:36.000 --> 00:01:38.000 for eternity. I like that. 00:01:38.000 --> 00:01:40.000 But there are some things 00:01:40.000 --> 00:01:42.000 he desires that I must give him while 00:01:42.000 --> 00:01:44.000 I'm here on earth. Because you can't give this 00:01:44.000 --> 00:01:46.000 to him in heaven. This is the sad thing, guys. 00:01:46.000 --> 00:01:48.000 All the gifts that you have to give 00:01:48.000 --> 00:01:50.000 you have to give him now. 00:01:50.000 --> 00:01:52.000 Because it will be way too easy in heaven. 00:01:54.000 --> 00:01:56.000 One of the gifts we give him is 00:01:56.000 --> 00:01:58.000 to be of a different spirit. Because those 00:01:58.000 --> 00:02:00.000 that are of a different spirit 00:02:00.000 --> 00:02:02.000 will always get their inheritance. 00:02:02.000 --> 00:02:04.000 Will always get their inheritance 00:02:04.000 --> 00:02:06.000 here on earth. And what is our inheritance? 00:02:06.000 --> 00:02:08.000 Our inheritance is what the Father wants us 00:02:08.000 --> 00:02:10.000 to do for his sake here on earth. 00:02:10.000 --> 00:02:12.000 Our inheritance is 00:02:12.000 --> 00:02:14.000 what the Father wants to accomplish 00:02:14.000 --> 00:02:16.000 through us here on earth before we 00:02:16.000 --> 00:02:18.000 leave the earth. And that was the reason you were born. 00:02:18.000 --> 00:02:20.000 Just imagine that, eh? 00:02:20.000 --> 00:02:22.000 That 00:02:22.000 --> 00:02:24.000 the things that God had planned 00:02:24.000 --> 00:02:26.000 for me before I was born 00:02:26.000 --> 00:02:28.000 are the things he deserves and he 00:02:28.000 --> 00:02:30.000 must get before I leave the earth. 00:02:30.000 --> 00:02:32.000 But to accomplish or to grant 00:02:32.000 --> 00:02:34.000 him the inheritance that he wants 00:02:34.000 --> 00:02:36.000 to give me to accomplish his purpose, 00:02:36.000 --> 00:02:38.000 I must have a different spirit. 00:02:38.000 --> 00:02:40.000 And that's what we're talking about today. 00:02:40.000 --> 00:02:42.000 How do you cultivate a different spirit? 00:02:42.000 --> 00:02:44.000 Because he wants this for all his children, 00:02:44.000 --> 00:02:46.000 but very few actually take the effort 00:02:46.000 --> 00:02:48.000 to go through a process 00:02:48.000 --> 00:02:50.000 that will get you there. So what do you have 00:02:50.000 --> 00:02:52.000 to cut out of your life if you want 00:02:52.000 --> 00:02:54.000 to have a different spirit 00:02:54.000 --> 00:02:56.000 like Caleb did? 00:02:56.000 --> 00:02:58.000 I love the fact, 00:02:58.000 --> 00:03:00.000 let me repeat it again, I love 00:03:00.000 --> 00:03:02.000 the fact that my inheritance is his 00:03:02.000 --> 00:03:04.000 purpose. 00:03:04.000 --> 00:03:06.000 I love the fact that my inheritance 00:03:06.000 --> 00:03:08.000 is his purpose. Here on earth, we don't 00:03:08.000 --> 00:03:10.000 understand that concept. Parents 00:03:10.000 --> 00:03:12.000 labor so that they can leave an inheritance 00:03:12.000 --> 00:03:14.000 to their children and all it benefits 00:03:14.000 --> 00:03:16.000 is the children. 00:03:16.000 --> 00:03:18.000 But when God says I give you an inheritance, 00:03:18.000 --> 00:03:20.000 what he's saying is, I have certain 00:03:20.000 --> 00:03:22.000 plans for the earth since the fall 00:03:22.000 --> 00:03:24.000 to restore it back. And you, 00:03:24.000 --> 00:03:26.000 my son or my daughter, are part of that 00:03:26.000 --> 00:03:28.000 plan, so I want to give you your inheritance 00:03:28.000 --> 00:03:30.000 so that my purpose is maybe 00:03:30.000 --> 00:03:32.000 accomplished. 00:03:32.000 --> 00:03:34.000 And you have to have a different spirit for that. 00:03:36.000 --> 00:03:38.000 And so the first thing you cut out, 00:03:38.000 --> 00:03:40.000 if you want this 00:03:40.000 --> 00:03:42.000 different spirit, is 00:03:42.000 --> 00:03:44.000 you must cut through lack. 00:03:44.000 --> 00:03:46.000 You must cut through 00:03:46.000 --> 00:03:48.000 lack. 00:03:48.000 --> 00:03:50.000 You must cut through 00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:52.000 lack. It's what drives 00:03:52.000 --> 00:03:54.000 us. You'll be surprised at 00:03:54.000 --> 00:03:56.000 how much lack 00:03:56.000 --> 00:03:58.000 drives us. 00:03:58.000 --> 00:04:00.000 How much lack drives us. 00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:04.000 Lack drives 00:04:04.000 --> 00:04:06.000 almost everything we do. 00:04:06.000 --> 00:04:08.000 And I'm not talking about lack because of money. 00:04:08.000 --> 00:04:10.000 What do you do when you lack dignity? 00:04:10.000 --> 00:04:12.000 You do something to gain dignity. What do you do 00:04:12.000 --> 00:04:14.000 when you lack purpose? You become ambitious. 00:04:14.000 --> 00:04:16.000 Ambition isn't a Christian quality. 00:04:20.000 --> 00:04:22.000 Ambition is so limited, so limited. 00:04:24.000 --> 00:04:26.000 It's like 30 rags. 00:04:26.000 --> 00:04:28.000 How much can you imagine with 00:04:28.000 --> 00:04:30.000 your two pounds of grey matter? 00:04:32.000 --> 00:04:34.000 Not much. God sets 00:04:34.000 --> 00:04:36.000 dreams. Man sets ambitions. 00:04:36.000 --> 00:04:38.000 And then begins to pursue them. 00:04:40.000 --> 00:04:42.000 Lack drives everything. 00:04:42.000 --> 00:04:44.000 What's the solution to it? 00:04:44.000 --> 00:04:46.000 If you want to cut through lack, you have to come to this 00:04:46.000 --> 00:04:48.000 simple understanding we talked about maybe 00:04:48.000 --> 00:04:50.000 two years ago. You have to understand 00:04:50.000 --> 00:04:52.000 that a sum lacks 00:04:52.000 --> 00:04:54.000 nothing. A sum 00:04:54.000 --> 00:04:56.000 lacks nothing. 00:04:56.000 --> 00:04:58.000 A sum lacks nothing. 00:04:58.000 --> 00:05:00.000 Once you come 00:05:00.000 --> 00:05:02.000 to this place of understanding that a sum lacks 00:05:02.000 --> 00:05:04.000 nothing, then you no 00:05:04.000 --> 00:05:06.000 longer try to fill a lack. 00:05:06.000 --> 00:05:08.000 Why? Because the moment you say 00:05:08.000 --> 00:05:10.000 a sum lacks nothing, what do you say? 00:05:10.000 --> 00:05:12.000 That my father has everything. 00:05:14.000 --> 00:05:16.000 You cannot say a sum 00:05:16.000 --> 00:05:18.000 lacks nothing unless you come to 00:05:18.000 --> 00:05:20.000 the recognition that the father has 00:05:20.000 --> 00:05:22.000 everything. A sum lacks 00:05:22.000 --> 00:05:24.000 nothing. So it no longer 00:05:24.000 --> 00:05:26.000 matters what I have in my wallet or 00:05:26.000 --> 00:05:28.000 I don't have. It no longer matters whether 00:05:28.000 --> 00:05:30.000 I have dignity in your right or not. 00:05:32.000 --> 00:05:34.000 It no longer matters whether I have purpose 00:05:34.000 --> 00:05:36.000 here on earth or not. 00:05:38.000 --> 00:05:40.000 Nothing matters anymore because everything 00:05:40.000 --> 00:05:42.000 that a man needs, 00:05:42.000 --> 00:05:44.000 the seven essentials that we've talked about, 00:05:44.000 --> 00:05:46.000 is provided not by 00:05:46.000 --> 00:05:48.000 anybody here on earth, but it is provided 00:05:48.000 --> 00:05:50.000 by the father, which is why a sum 00:05:50.000 --> 00:05:52.000 lacks nothing. 00:05:52.000 --> 00:05:54.000 You do not look at what you have to determine 00:05:54.000 --> 00:05:56.000 whether you have it or not. You look at 00:05:56.000 --> 00:05:58.000 someone. You do not look at what. You look 00:05:58.000 --> 00:06:00.000 at who. A sum lacks 00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:02.000 nothing. And by the same token, a 00:06:02.000 --> 00:06:04.000 servant owns nothing. 00:06:04.000 --> 00:06:06.000 Because I'm a son first, then 00:06:06.000 --> 00:06:08.000 I'm a servant. So a sum 00:06:08.000 --> 00:06:10.000 lacks nothing. A servant owns 00:06:10.000 --> 00:06:12.000 nothing. This is the prosperity gospel. 00:06:14.000 --> 00:06:16.000 Everything else is a distortion of this. 00:06:16.000 --> 00:06:18.000 A sum 00:06:18.000 --> 00:06:20.000 lacks nothing. A servant owns nothing. 00:06:20.000 --> 00:06:22.000 Now, God begins to cause 00:06:22.000 --> 00:06:24.000 things to flow through your life at a rate 00:06:24.000 --> 00:06:26.000 you cannot imagine. 00:06:28.000 --> 00:06:30.000 No longer do I look 00:06:30.000 --> 00:06:32.000 at what I have or what I don't have to determine 00:06:32.000 --> 00:06:34.000 whether I actually have it or not. 00:06:34.000 --> 00:06:36.000 Because it actually is in the hand 00:06:36.000 --> 00:06:38.000 of somebody else who I'm vitally connected 00:06:38.000 --> 00:06:40.000 to, whose spirit and my spirit are one. 00:06:40.000 --> 00:06:42.000 So every time there is a lack, 00:06:42.000 --> 00:06:44.000 it's just kind of fill it. 00:06:44.000 --> 00:06:46.000 You fill yourself with 00:06:46.000 --> 00:06:48.000 someone, not with something. 00:06:50.000 --> 00:06:52.000 It's absolutely doable, guys. It's just a way of 00:06:52.000 --> 00:06:54.000 thinking. And then 00:06:54.000 --> 00:06:56.000 once it is filled, you do not own it 00:06:56.000 --> 00:06:58.000 for a second. You do not own it 00:06:58.000 --> 00:07:00.000 for a second. And once you decide 00:07:00.000 --> 00:07:02.000 that you don't own anything, what can Satan 00:07:02.000 --> 00:07:04.000 touch? 00:07:04.000 --> 00:07:06.000 Nothing. 00:07:06.000 --> 00:07:08.000 Hey, what do you think 00:07:08.000 --> 00:07:10.000 happens when he wants to disturb 00:07:10.000 --> 00:07:12.000 you? What does he touch? He touches one of these 00:07:12.000 --> 00:07:14.000 things. Your money, 00:07:14.000 --> 00:07:16.000 your dignity, 00:07:16.000 --> 00:07:18.000 or your pride, 00:07:18.000 --> 00:07:20.000 your possessions, 00:07:22.000 --> 00:07:24.000 your security. 00:07:24.000 --> 00:07:26.000 These are the things he touches. 00:07:26.000 --> 00:07:28.000 And so we react. Touch my security 00:07:28.000 --> 00:07:30.000 and now I've got to do everything in my power 00:07:30.000 --> 00:07:32.000 to secure it again. I've got to control things. 00:07:32.000 --> 00:07:34.000 I've got to manipulate things. Why? 00:07:34.000 --> 00:07:36.000 Because I've got to make things secure again. 00:07:36.000 --> 00:07:38.000 Touch my pride and I react again. 00:07:38.000 --> 00:07:40.000 Because I want my dignity restored. 00:07:42.000 --> 00:07:44.000 At the end of the day, if as a son 00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:46.000 you lack 00:07:46.000 --> 00:07:48.000 nothing, and as a servant, you own 00:07:48.000 --> 00:07:50.000 nothing, you finally come to this 00:07:50.000 --> 00:07:52.000 place where you are living free. 00:07:54.000 --> 00:07:56.000 This is why in John chapter 13, he puts it 00:07:56.000 --> 00:07:58.000 this way. Jesus knowing where 00:07:58.000 --> 00:08:00.000 he had come from, 00:08:00.000 --> 00:08:02.000 where did he come from? From his father's house. 00:08:02.000 --> 00:08:04.000 What was he? A son. 00:08:04.000 --> 00:08:06.000 And knowing where he was going and how was he walking 00:08:06.000 --> 00:08:08.000 the earth as a servant? 00:08:08.000 --> 00:08:10.000 Knowing where he had come from and knowing 00:08:10.000 --> 00:08:12.000 where he was going, what did he do? He took a bucket 00:08:12.000 --> 00:08:14.000 of water, knelt down before his 00:08:14.000 --> 00:08:16.000 disciples, and started washing his feet. Because his 00:08:16.000 --> 00:08:18.000 dignity did not depend on what you thought of him. 00:08:20.000 --> 00:08:22.000 Cut through life. Cut 00:08:22.000 --> 00:08:24.000 through life. Do you realize 00:08:24.000 --> 00:08:26.000 that it is possible that 00:08:26.000 --> 00:08:28.000 many of us will move, will take up jobs, 00:08:28.000 --> 00:08:30.000 will do things, will 00:08:30.000 --> 00:08:32.000 change situations wide 00:08:32.000 --> 00:08:34.000 to provide for a lack? 00:08:40.000 --> 00:08:42.000 Never be forced into doing anything because 00:08:42.000 --> 00:08:44.000 you have a lack. 00:08:48.000 --> 00:08:50.000 Lack is a cruel master. 00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:52.000 It will drive you to do things, man. 00:08:56.000 --> 00:08:58.000 It competes with God, eh? 00:08:58.000 --> 00:09:00.000 It competes with God. 00:09:00.000 --> 00:09:02.000 What is lack? Lack at the end of the day 00:09:02.000 --> 00:09:04.000 is either having the security or not having the security 00:09:04.000 --> 00:09:06.000 that you need. And that's another 00:09:06.000 --> 00:09:08.000 word for mammon. Mammon actually is not 00:09:08.000 --> 00:09:10.000 money. Mammon is security. 00:09:10.000 --> 00:09:12.000 Mammon is security. 00:09:14.000 --> 00:09:16.000 It just so happens that mammon 00:09:16.000 --> 00:09:18.000 gives you security, so we 00:09:18.000 --> 00:09:20.000 connect mammon and money. But mammon 00:09:20.000 --> 00:09:22.000 at the end of the day is actually security. 00:09:22.000 --> 00:09:24.000 How are you constantly striving for it? 00:09:26.000 --> 00:09:28.000 Cut through lack. 00:09:28.000 --> 00:09:30.000 So, 00:09:30.000 --> 00:09:32.000 let's just pray. 00:09:32.000 --> 00:09:34.000 Father, 00:09:34.000 --> 00:09:36.000 some of us here 00:09:38.000 --> 00:09:40.000 are driven by lack. 00:09:40.000 --> 00:09:42.000 All of us here 00:09:42.000 --> 00:09:44.000 are driven by some lack or the other. 00:09:44.000 --> 00:09:46.000 Sometimes it's a lack of money. 00:09:46.000 --> 00:09:48.000 Sometimes it's a lack of security. 00:09:48.000 --> 00:09:50.000 Sometimes it's a lack of dignity 00:09:50.000 --> 00:09:52.000 or worth. 00:09:52.000 --> 00:09:54.000 Are we constantly 00:09:54.000 --> 00:09:56.000 reacting, Father, to lack? 00:09:56.000 --> 00:09:58.000 Constantly being driven by it. 00:09:58.000 --> 00:10:00.000 Today, Father, we put an end to it. 00:10:00.000 --> 00:10:02.000 In the name of Jesus Christ, 00:10:02.000 --> 00:10:04.000 I break 00:10:04.000 --> 00:10:06.000 being driven by lack 00:10:06.000 --> 00:10:08.000 in my life. I break 00:10:08.000 --> 00:10:10.000 being driven by lack 00:10:10.000 --> 00:10:12.000 in my life. 00:10:12.000 --> 00:10:14.000 I don't want to be driven by lack, 00:10:14.000 --> 00:10:16.000 oh God. It's 00:10:16.000 --> 00:10:18.000 such a pathetic master compared 00:10:18.000 --> 00:10:20.000 to you. I repent, oh God. 00:10:20.000 --> 00:10:22.000 And I come 00:10:22.000 --> 00:10:24.000 saying that I want to be a son 00:10:24.000 --> 00:10:26.000 who owns, who 00:10:26.000 --> 00:10:28.000 lacks nothing because he has 00:10:28.000 --> 00:10:30.000 a good, good father. 00:10:30.000 --> 00:10:32.000 Teach me, 00:10:32.000 --> 00:10:34.000 Father, that your pockets are full 00:10:34.000 --> 00:10:36.000 of everything I need 00:10:36.000 --> 00:10:38.000 for life and godliness 00:10:38.000 --> 00:10:40.000 that you have it. 00:10:42.000 --> 00:10:44.000 And so, as a son, I lack nothing. 00:10:46.000 --> 00:10:48.000 And as a servant, 00:10:48.000 --> 00:10:50.000 I will not own anything. 00:10:50.000 --> 00:10:52.000 I won't put my hand and hold anything, 00:10:52.000 --> 00:10:54.000 Father. 00:10:54.000 --> 00:10:56.000 My hands will always be open above. 00:10:56.000 --> 00:10:58.000 That then 00:10:58.000 --> 00:11:00.000 allows you to let things 00:11:00.000 --> 00:11:02.000 flow in and out of my life. 00:11:02.000 --> 00:11:04.000 We want this as a church, 00:11:04.000 --> 00:11:06.000 Father. We want this as a church. 00:11:10.000 --> 00:11:12.000 In Jesus' name. 00:11:12.000 --> 00:11:14.000 I don't know whether you know the story. 00:11:14.000 --> 00:11:16.000 Many years ago, Acts 29 00:11:16.000 --> 00:11:18.000 was as generous as it is today. 00:11:18.000 --> 00:11:20.000 And it would 00:11:20.000 --> 00:11:22.000 run into the red every month. 00:11:22.000 --> 00:11:24.000 We didn't have money to pay the red 00:11:24.000 --> 00:11:26.000 fees. Crown. People would have to 00:11:26.000 --> 00:11:28.000 put in extra money to make the rent. 00:11:28.000 --> 00:11:30.000 I remember asking 00:11:30.000 --> 00:11:32.000 Heidi, saying, Heidi, 00:11:32.000 --> 00:11:34.000 is there something wrong with my giving? 00:11:34.000 --> 00:11:36.000 Just check my giving because the 00:11:36.000 --> 00:11:38.000 pastor is a miser that the church won't 00:11:38.000 --> 00:11:40.000 prosper. And so she 00:11:40.000 --> 00:11:42.000 said, no, your giving has been fine. 00:11:42.000 --> 00:11:44.000 So, son asking God as a 00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:46.000 leadership, Father, what is it that we're doing wrong? 00:11:46.000 --> 00:11:48.000 Why is it that we're going to the 00:11:48.000 --> 00:11:50.000 red every month? 00:11:50.000 --> 00:11:52.000 And so one of the things I found the Lord saying was 00:11:52.000 --> 00:11:54.000 whenever you raise money 00:11:54.000 --> 00:11:56.000 for India or Indonesia 00:11:56.000 --> 00:11:58.000 or any of those things, even though 00:11:58.000 --> 00:12:00.000 you have money in the bank, you will come to the 00:12:00.000 --> 00:12:02.000 church and say to the church, let's raise some money 00:12:02.000 --> 00:12:04.000 for India. Let's raise some money for Indonesia. Let's raise 00:12:04.000 --> 00:12:06.000 some money for this.
